Politicians Under Firestorm is the second record by Alessandro Paolone a.k.a. Doc Pavlonium, released on La Sabbia.
An imaginary firestorm that politicians and people from all over the world are facing right now. Most of the tracks have been composed during the pandemic Covid-19, when our lives have been restricted in lockdowns where it is hard to move freely and meet each other. It's a floating world, very close to the polar inversion, crossing a technological revolution that humans have never seen before.
We must not lose ourselves! The key is the continuous research.

Remix time part deux: andhim return with another generous bounty of versions from their last two Superfriends releases… And it’s every bit as crisp and immersive as last month’s dispatch.
Following rubs from Johannes Albert, Kalupke, Neil Landstrumm and Toto Chiavetto come three more friends with four more innovative twists. It starts with Monaberry’s Viktor Talking Machine who flip ‘Windows 85’ into one of the funkiest productions they’ve ever created. One part mystic, two parts cosmic G-funk, all techno, what a way to kick off the EP.
It’s backed by three more remarkable refixes: a shimmering subversion of ‘Aires’ from Permanent Vacation co-founder Benjamin Frohlich (who twists the original’s Italo elements into Balearic bliss one layer at a time) and pedigree chums Catz n’ Dogz who take the already beautiful ‘Last Song’ to insane new levels. Maintaining all the skin-rippling euphoria of the original but giving it a buff, gruff, swaggering techno bump (and a bassline hook to die), it’s the Pets bossmen at their very best.
And if that’s not enough, we also have the return of the mighty Neil Landstrumm with a second take on this year’s heavily-supported rave anthem ‘Duno’. While his remix on the previous package bounced with electro mischief, this one is full on UK rave, taking straight back to Shelly’s or Eclipse circa 91. The type of places you made friends to the very very end. Super. Keep those white gloves on… You’re going to need them this winter.

The long-awaited return of the Russian duo Interpolarm is vividly marked by the new fruits of their consciousness called Melchior Ep in the first catalog of the label.
This time the sound of the album is very different from the band's early work. Two original tracks symbolizm a single-phase alloy of two elements, giving preference to the mood of Detroit. The deep and at the same time transparent groove in The Bald is very subtly combined with hating arpeggios, which makes this composition playable and varied.
Melchior itself presents a more frank picture, where bright chords flirt with a cheerful rhythm and masked percussion.
A great addition to these combinations is the remix from Acusmouse, which has already managed to double check out releases on Rawax and uncompromising dance Ep on LittleHelpers. Gaining momentum, this musician always offers the listener fresh solutions on the verge of romance and humor.

Cormac is launching a new record label called Polari, through which he will curate and share music from artists that he champions in his much-revered DJ sets.
The name "Polari" references the slang used by the gay subculture in the 19th century.
The inaugural release is from London based Kiwi - a producer, label owner and promoter very much on the rise.
Having previously released on revered imprints such as Optimo, Future Boogie, Needwant, 17 Steps and his own Crossbreed, Kiwi has already established himself a producer with idiosyncratic studio nous, and a natural flair for delivering records that bind and enthral dancers of all persuasions.
Crossbreed is also a London based event series that "encourages freedom of expression and hedonism", and aims to "break down social constructs and stigmas". It is here that Cormac and Kiwi reconnected earlier this year, and sowed the seeds for this first release.
Cormac has also opted to showcase different LGBTQI+ visual artists' work for the sleeve art.
Artwork on this release is from SHREK 666; an Artist, Performer, Maker & DJ also known as Sorcha Clelland. Creator of Ministry of Pound, a Glasgow based Fetish Party & Mag and resident performer at Scotland's most loved Queer party Shoot Your Shot. Combining monstrosity, trans*ness & hypersexuality through the embodiment of an ogre creating new queer worlds.

Our fantastic founder is back in minimal hypnotic territory with a hommage to his son, hence the title "Little Guy". A clinical dry microbeat with little synth stabs evolving thoughout the story and scattered delayed vocal snippets, making way for jazzy rhode chords and a mysterious clarinet narating the story of the track until the end.
We are honored to welcome RLZ Music's Rowlanz to complete the release. He delivers an interesting blend of metallic sounds and deep vibes brought by the pads and reverberating vocals and clarinet samples. A nice complement for thie EP, better suited for the dancefloor with more purpose and energy than the more introspective original.

In the wake of the monumentally successful first two releases (both of which sold out and were re-pressed), VDK returns with an extra special third outing.
‘Outing’ being the operative word, here, as VDK’s label head has decided that it is time to shake off the veil of anonymity and lay all bare.
The story starts in Holland, with Dutch producer and DJ, Odette. Tired of the mainstream, Odette planned to carve her own notch in the underground and thus VDK (an acronym of her surname) was born.
In typical Odette style, the four tracks present on the EP are loaded with emotive moments, all powered by the house sound for which we know and love our producer.
VDK is a home for music that makes you feel, and that is exactly how Odette performs with her latest release on the label; VDK003.

The wait is over, the 9th installment of the Vivus odyssey is here. This time we are very happy to host Camelia, a DJ from Miami that has been known for his celestial sound, full of warmth & profound vibes.
No Room kicks things off with a dark twist: the title track is held hostage to a deep but powerful baseline that will take control of all your senses with its hypnotizing effects. A lovely piece of minimal techno with simple but perfectly cut elements.
Next up, things start to pick up as we discover that Phantom is a track full of groovy vibes and a steady tempo that will get your feet moving. That’s perfect because the one that follows, Shake, really does shake things up. A total madness of background noises and acid sounds make for a track that would fit perfectly in the middle of the night at an underground club.
The curtain falls with True Blue. This one completes the circle as it returns to a darker theme and weighty sound. The baseline is strong but linear and the journey is crystal clear in its firm flow.

Jon Hester returns to Radio Slave’s Rekids label with the second instalment of his ‘Converge’ LP, ‘Converge - Part II’.
The second part of 2020’s ‘Converge - Part I’, a body of music which saw enthusiastic responses from the likes of Surgeon, Lauren Flax, DJ Bone, Anthony Parasole and Jus-Ed to name just a few, sees the Berlin-based DJ/Producer and dancer generously expand on and refine his slick vision of techno on one of electronic music’s key labels.
By encompassing warm and soulful textures within club focussed grooves, Hester continues to explore the far reaches of both the musical cues picked up from his years as a dancer and formative time spent in the Midwest US, connecting influences from Chicago, Minneapolis, and Detroit.
Stretched across a double LP, the album opens with the spacious and icy ‘Stealth’ followed by the machine communications of ‘Artificial Intelligence’. The B-side sees a whirlwind of the synthetic in ‘Instant’ before ‘Contact’ swiftly picks up the pace with it’s warbling pads and slippery percussion.
On the second disc, ‘Circadian Slip’, custom-built for dancefloor pandemonium, continues with off-kilter leads and vocal snippets before ‘Shadows’ brings eerie syncopation to the proceedings. In the final stretch, ‘Silver’ maintains steady energy into the twilight hours, and the gorgeous ‘Wonder’ closes out the LP beautifully, providing a soft landing to an exceptional journey through Hester’s sound.

Ever since our first black label hit was set loose, government actions led towards a temporary ban of all flip side acts (Untitled B, AA, etc). All available resources were hence redirected towards our class-A line.
A hammering bassline, exotic Sampulp, fruitful talks and a dose of pulpy acid are part of the new deal.

Dennis Cruz continues his standout run-of-form in 2021 with the release of his latest single, What U Doing. Soon-to-appear on his forthcoming album, Roots, the single is a collaboration with UK singer-songwritwer Leo Wood and includes a remix by iconic German house producer Mousse T.
Two worlds come together in perfect harmony, as the five-minute number gets underway with shimmering bell chimes and Leo’s soothing vocal offerings. Dennis’ influence soon arrives, taking the form of a punchy, four-four bassline whilst echoing synths purr intermittently in the background. Mousse T´s 'Deep Shizzle' Extended Remix brings things to a feel-good close, with upbeat piano rolls residing atop euphoric chords to create a dancefloor cut that you can’t help but smile to.
MÜSE co-founder Dennis Cruz has cemented his reputation as one of global dance music’s most-esteemed talents, picking up a plethora of awards and nominations throughout his career, including Beatport, RA, Vicious Magazine, and DJ Awards: Best Tech House 2018, Best Deep Tech 2019 and winner of Best Producer in 2017. Bristolian talent Leo Wood is swiftly becoming a leading vocalist within the scene, traversing drum and bass and tech with ease and featuring on releases by Hospitality, Shogun Audio and Defected to name a few. German house hero Mousse T created some of house’s most-lauded tracks in the late nineties to noughties, whilst in recent times his remixes of Selace, Camelphat, Moloko, Mike Dunn and Wankelmut have been met with widespread industry acclaim.

After Ryan Davis album "Particles Of Bliss" in June 2012 on Traum it was clear to everyone that he was one oft he most versatile artists on the label. There was no electronic playground he did not enter. His phanstastic and illusionary music makes him such a special artist for Traum.
One year and 5 months later Ryan Davis returns with what can easily be referred to as the most powerful EP production of his to date.
Opening the doors to newly embarked soil the EP kicks off with "Ghosts". The starting point being rather mystic & fairylike, who else would manage to twist things as the Ryan does... writing mighty synth sounds that lend heavenly sounds a hand to ascend towards immortality
If this all sounds too whimsical and grotesque to enter the dance floors around the world... count on Ryan who has achieved to transcript all of this into a clubby language. "Ghosts" is an attractive and sophisticated piece of - sculptured' melodic techno that cuts out the cheesy bits and endless doodling often found in melodic emo music to give them an extra bit of physical strength and deepness.
The second track "Drone" by definition referred to as - a continuous note or chord creating a sound', could apply mainly to the beginning of he track, but what enfolds here in the course of this track is something really great. "Drone" is packed with compositional details and makes excursions into cinematic brilliance. It has a big quality on the emotional side which you wish every soundtrack would have, when in fact this is a piece of techno music. Ryan Davis superb track puts it next to soundtracks of Alain Delon movies if you will and what we always knew was that Ryan Davis has a brilliant understanding for writing introspective and emotional music without stealing away to borders of haziness or committing the trance music and we are referring not to the spirit but the genre.
The third track "Gyration" is a brittle and haunting sound which really could appeal to lovers of of This Mortal Coil, Pale Saints or if you want it more contemporary: John Hopkins. Less on the side of guitar fuzziness but more on the side of beauty Ryan Davis is a master of pulling melodies out of nowhere always to mingle in perfection with the existing sounds.
"Gyration" also has that grand sound of pop productions we know from Depeche Mode... and who... of the contemporary producers can claim that.
If that was not enough of an accolade "Collider" starts with electro acoustic sounds and then puts its foot into the world of songwriting which has more in common with folk and singer-songwriting then with techno music. "Collider" is a multi-layered dreamy song reflecting on innocence and seemingly taken from an entire lifetime. Sometimes we wonder who this person Ryan Davis is. We know it is not his really name. We know he is never where you expect him to be and when you get hold on him you will only capture a slight glimpse of him.

Butter Side Up's sixth EP comes from Stockholm's super slick Basement Space, who serves up four tracks of tripped-out house and breaks.
Patrik Edenhall is an audio engineer and producer with a love of old school broken beats. In his hands, those beats are worked into everything from jazz to techno, with deft ambient melodies and complex IDM patterns. His meticulous approach shines through once again on these four more timeless tracks.
'Cosmonaut' kicks off with crunchy breaks and plenty of subtle references to space travel. Spoken word snippets and a turbocharged bassline ensure maximum impact on both head and heel. The icy cool breakbeats on 'Domino' glide through the cosmos with sleek synths and steamy female coos, while a rugged bassline brings some filth. On the flip, 'Equilibrium' is a heady cut with balmy pads and neon keys lighting up another frictionless groove. It's electronic funk of the highest order, while 'Neptune Sunrise' is the sound of a zoned-out dance floor at 5am, with crispy snares and bulbous acid keeping you afloat amongst the stars.
BSU006 is another innovative EP of multi-faceted club tracks from a fresh underground talent.

Adelphi Music Factory are a collective hailing from Sheffield, here in their own words to "increase the peace". Their uplifting and addictive house, flooded with nods to the British rave sound, brings people together to dance. The collective has seen a meteoric rise in fame, gaining plaudits from global DJs and their releases repeatedly tipped by Annie Mac as the hottest records in the world.
Their debut on Shall Not Fade in August sold out, with the repress flying out. Now they're back for more; Electric Arc Furnace EP is a ferocious record, cementing Adelphi Music Factory as a northern powerhouse. Like their other releases, Electric Arc Furnace is all about fuelling the dance. "Jive Turkey" kicks off the EP with truly monstrous percussion, pausing only for a euphoric sax solo reprieve, making it perfect summer day party gear.
"Rejoice With Me (I Need You)" is a gospel heater; bouncing beat and strings underpinning textbook praise break vocal tackle, epitomising what Adelphi Music Factory are about - hands-in-the-air house music. Closing out the EP, "Sample Seduction" is awash with second summer of love hardcore vibes simmering over a thumping four four groove. Classic vocal sampledge brings the record to a crescendo, evoking memories of the sweatiest rave you've ever been to.

The legendary G Flame follows up this summer’s debut on No.19 Music with ‘I Want You', a fantastic LP drawn from his musical vaults that proves why the UK based artist is such a vital part of electronic music’s history.
G Flame aka Cisco Ferreira, is the solo artist behind the legendary project, The Advent, which originally included former production partner Mr G. He has long been a pivotal player in the development of house and techno, as a DJ, producer and also an engineer working with greats like Larry Heard, Derrick May and Adonis. Cisco has released on seminal labels such as Jack Tracks, R&S, Novamute and Tresor, has remixed New Order and always brings a unique musical vision to his work.
The legendary G Flame moniker was originally used for Ferreira’s more house infused, techno sound, something he developed in the early 90s. Says the artist, “Back then there were very few tech house tracks being released. At the time I called it 'house techno’ as my main vibe was always house music first, with added techno spice and faster BPMS for DJs.” That description is a simple but effective one that sums up the visceral power of this new record, a record which features tracks predominantly written between 1992 and 1999.
The first two cuts are previously unreleased gems, opening with the ducking and diving drums and intense synth work of 'I Want You', and followed by the old school 909 workout of piano-infused house, ’Freetown.’ The buzzing low frequencies of ‘Broken’ burrows deep into your brain and was released as a single on this label this summer, then come previously vinyl only classics ‘Thoughts’ which brings brilliant dynamics and a pulsing bassline that is overlaid with trippy melodic motifs and sci-fi details, and 'Up All Night,’ which is ghetto house perfection with its bristling drums and percussion, knotted bass and frenzied vocal stabs.
The final four previously unreleased tunes kick off with ‘Lynn Grooves’, a perfectly reduced piece of rubbery techno to get you in a sweat, and ’Stringer,’ another urgent and compelling house cut that races along on slapping drums and scraping hits while subtle vocal sounds add soul to the power of the machines. The stellar ‘Turnmills’, is a loopy, chunky and futuristic wedge of sci-fi tech that is sure to make you march and last of all, the fantastic '6am' is a zoned out affair with far sighted cosmic chords, bumping kicks and more tender vocal sounds that finds, like the rest of the album, a perfect sweet spot between house and techno.
This is an essential collection of music from an artist who has been at the very heart of the house and techno scene for the last three decades, and is sure to enthral both his industry acolytes and new fans alike. It also marks another high point for the ever impressive No.19 Music as we close out 2020.
