House Vinyl New Releases - News

Djebali and Jorge Savoretti combine to deliver their ‘Fraires’ EP on Infuse, accompanied by a remix from Stephan Bazbaz.

Two producers at the heart of today’s modern house and minimal scenes, Paris favourite Djebali and Argentinian DJ and producer Jorge Savoretti have grown to become two of the most consistent and impressive talents active within the scene today. With over thirty years of experience between them, releasing material via the likes of Freak’n’Chic, Raum…musik and Cadenza plus Djebali’s own self-titled imprint, the pairing now turn their attention to new ground as they make their collaborative debut on FUSE sister imprint Infuse this summer, offering up three fresh productions via their ‘Fraires’ EP alongside a remix from Tel Aviv’s Stephan Bazbaz.

The slow-blooming and hypnotic sonics of ‘101’ open the EP in style as the two talents merge sweeping synth lines atop of warped electronics and slick percussion shots, whilst Stephan Bazbaz’s remix ups the tempo and builds on the original with a combination of energetic builds and icy hats. On the flip, ‘Pigalle’ delves into a deep journey guided by a resonant lead line and hazy background murmurs, before closing with the classy ‘Devote Ville’ – a smooth and well measured production which oozes sophistication and quality from the opening minute.

The Story Itself

On the 12th of April 1961, Yuri Gagarin was launched into orbit for the first and - so they tell us - the last time. Upon returning to Earth, Yuri became a global hero, travelling the world to tell of his adventure.

Secretly, he was plagued by strange hallucinations and a persistent glow around his vision; a cornucopia of colour in a constant corona. In 1964 - following a silent coup by Leonid Brezhnev - Yuri was banned from embarking on further manned missions into space. At first fearing madness, the cosmonaut came to see these apparitions as a signal, an invitation, a welcoming beacon from a distant lighthouse blinking across the cosmic void.

On the 27th of March 1968, aided by trusted friends within the space program, Yuri Gagarin swapped places with another cosmonaut on a secret test flight and was once more blasted into outer space. Knocked unconscious by the extreme velocity of his experimental craft, Yuri awoke a mere 15 minutes later in view not of the rapidly shrinking Earth, but an entirely alien vista; he was elsewhere...

About Tony Neptune

Tony Neptune is a multi-media persona created by the Leeds-based artist and producer Sam Jefferies who, inspired by the narrative and musical legacies of early Detroit techno culture, aims to tell a complete story for the senses through a combination of image, sound and text. Asa member of the DimensionsDJ Directory three years running, some know Jefferies for his notorious DJ sets—whether he’s playing new wave or booty bass; as Tony Neptune or Yuri; solo or alongside Mark ‘Turbo’ Turner in another peak time marathon b2b, it doesn’t take long for crowds to catch on to his deep knowledge of all things riddled with Hi-Tech Funk and Soul. But this isn’t the only storm he’s cooking up: in his visual work, Jefferies uses oil paint to unveil the surreal and celestial adventures of the original cosmonaut and space pioneer, Yuri Gagarin, capturing every aspect of their dream-like surroundings with an eye devoted to detail and depth. This painting lies at the heart of his debut EP, Reflections on a Daring

Chris Stussy broke through in double quick time with some head turning house tracks. But what is important is that he has continued to back up that early promise years later with this EP on Moscow. He is now very much a key part of the underground with a sound that is all his own and has taken him to essential labels like Djebali, Rutilance, Eastenderz, Meta and, of course, PIV.

He now makes his debut on Archie Hamilton’s Moscow records, and delivers 3 of his finest tracks to date. The EP kicks things off with ‘Wake Ning’, a deep, groovy track with a timeless, summertime feel. The B side boasts another 2 high quality tracks, Nunchi with a slightly tougher and Sonaris tying off the record perfectly in a deeper style. 3 classically infectious tracks from the Dutchman

Galluzzi and Schneider: Two masters of their craft and two specialists for merging minimal techno with dark house vibes. This particular sound that is high on demand when the club crowd get lost in the middle of night. Lost in music. Lost in the hot air that makes their bodies sweat. Lost in these disco lights that makes us all dazed & confused. This very special sound, based on hypnotic and minimal beats with every bass sound hitting your body and soul. This is the world of Schneider and Galluzzi, this is exactly the moment when these two artists take control and won't let you go anymore. Their new collaboration 'Mario' breathes exactly that vibe. The original version of 'Mario' literally takes you on a journey. Come with Andre & Guido and follow those jazzy bass sounds with an almost oriental flavor and meet all the shimmering effects and crazy noises. Dance to this super hypnotic beat and hear the percussion parts that will drive you further and further into the night. This is the sound of our time and the soundtrack of our lives that happens on the dark and crazy floors all over the world. Turn the lights off and set the volume to max - here comes 'Mario"! Thomas Melchior & Fumiya Tanaka are on remix duties and the two follow the vibe of the original with all their skills. They are not trying to re-arrange and re-define the original at all which is exactly what is needed here. The result is an even deeper and even more hard-edged dub that lies somewhere between ingenuity and insanity. The dub relfects that special vibe of dark and foggy dance floors with all those happy dancers that just want to dance... until sunrise... and even longer. Kill the bassdrum and bring it back in... sometimes it's so easy to make us technoheads happy.

VOY 11 is two different vibes for different times.

We proudly present "A Work in Progress" (Priceless one) with help from chez Damier) on our 18th release.

After their fatter than a 'Deepfried stick of butter wrapped in bacon' Speckbass EP collaboration on Sex Tags Ufo a few years back DJ Fett Burger & DJ Speckguertel team up once again! The full length 'Red Scorpions' album, showcasing their mastery in the studio, is the result. A cornucopia of all that's classy about house and techno rolled into one and spread over 4 sides. Not afraid to use the tried and true ingredients of House music to full effect on 'Red Scorpions' they incorporate all the best from US and Europe's club music into a fresh but familiar package.

Indira Paganotto returns with her third Pooledmusic EP, featuring a pair of remixes from label boss Ian Pooley. Having made her debut in 2012 aged just 19, Indira has spent the intervening years honing her sound and exploring new approaches to music.
Currently based in Madrid, Paganotto's father was a DJ in Goa, where she spent a significant portion of her upbringing. Having grown up with her father's collection of trance, acid & psychedelic rock records, Paganotto's eclectic musical education has informed her music's individuality. Her 2014 solo EP 'Time Out Man' blended these inspirations into a pair of evocative house grooves. This development continues with Kashmir & Savannah, both of which find the 24-year-old producer in confident form. Ian Pooley provides a pair of his own trademark dancefloor-focused dubs to complete a package that confirms Paganotto as a new talent in the ascendancy.

Long-time friends and collaborators A.M.S & Dogworld! release their debut EP on their own imprint: Club In Theory. Four glassy cuts that orbit around cold digital deep house, big bottom end, lush pads and twisted new jack swing.

Enzo Siragusa releases four alternative cuts from his Decade of Rave double album project, entitled The Lost Dubs. All lean towards the FUSE label head’s darker taste, and darker side of production.

It’s no secret that Enzo takes a significant amount of inspiration from his formative years immersed in London’s invigorating Jungle, Drum n Bass, and Hardcore scene of the early 90's. A dance floor you’d not only find yourself encased in music on but feel it from your core.

When in the studio, Enzo strives to emulate that feeling which you’ll heavily hear through the 'FUSE' back catalogue, and when on the dance floor during his sets.

For our 9th instalment, Holdie Gawn takes the lead and is delivering his first solo EP for Sylphe, while Micawber takes a break. On the A-Side, Holdie Gawn's natural habitat, we find Yborg, a 12 minute long piece of darker, glitched-up techno which moves slowly yet forcefully. Expanding into a terrain of bleeps and dissonant harmonies, ''Yborg'' number remains loyal to the twisted Sylphe electronics we have been used to. On the B side we have T & T, a rolling, broken beat swingy techno-house jam which grooves effortlessly and shows a different of Holdie. Wonky, bubbling basslines and stretched voices complete the mosaic of Holdie's the first B side. Our 9th release will be out in time for our 3rd birthday, around mid-late February.

Paul Ritch is no stranger to Drumcode and has returned with an outstanding single featuring three tracks that will dominate DJ sets. The first track 'Run Baby Run' entertains us with an arpeggiated chord sequence that is accompanied by percussion-like synth sounds before bursting into a thick-layered sequence of sound. The dark and dubby side of the single see's Paul's 'Astral' bring a funky sleazed out groovy track that also uses a discerning melody. 'Mind Insistence' is a dark 5am groove that will keep the dance floor swaying in the early hours with it's tripped out feel and syncopated percussion.

"When Alexander (Boddika) got in touch asking for some new fresh music I knew it was a really important step for me. Nonplus is a stable reference label in the Techno scene and it was a unique opportunity. I thought the open minded philosophy of the label would help me a lot and I could create more experimental works.I decided to produce the tracks in almost one take... turned on the synths and looked for the perfect range and character of sounds and spent some weeks recording it, finishing with some edits before the final mixing. The final results were more than expected. Harmonic Rain, the Ep main's track has a really special groove, with a main melody which is transposed and slightly altering it gives me a good feeling. The Ep feels to me like a complete journey itself. With peak time tracks, and more experimental and "warm up" music. Loops but not loops.
In summary, I'm really happy with this release and with the beginning of this musical relationship with Boddika and the Nonplus team."

SHY welcomes Mr. Ricecooker! A moniker from our long time friend and dance floor patrol officer DJ Tjizza.

Bart Skils returns to Drumcode with his third solo release, 'Shadowprint'. Consisting of Bart's famous rolling drums and bass rhythms he has crafted an EP that is exceptionally functional. With each track Bart has added character by introducing vocals, interesting melodies and deep percussion to keep it interesting.

The EP is made up of 3 peak time tracks that are eloquently put together. 'My Part Of Town' is a bit deeper from Bart and contrast's well to the rest of the EP with it's melodic bass line.

Jump Source (Priori & Project Pablo), kick off their new catalogue with a 12" of three subtle creations.

With the second record for Misfit Melodies and the fourth for the Running Back universe, Robert Dietz solidifies and hones his very own sound. Heartfelt and emotive, a slice of lovers acid works as the prelude to an EP of IDM patterns, classic house tropes and something that is as much fun as it is funky. “Great Hormones at Bed Time” owes the same amount of money to Detroit as it does to Frankfurt am Main. Definitely no lullabies here.

8bit co-founder Gorge is back on his label with his first own release in 1,5 years. After his collaborations with Markus Homm it was definitely time to 'start again'.

A year after the heartbreaking loss of 'brother' Scott Hardkiss, Gavin and Robbie Hardkiss release 1991 which was described by Magnetic Magazine as 'a throwback to that heady time as well as a timely loop into the future.' Reunited in the Bay Area in 2010, Gavin and Robbie produced an album that stands tall in the often repetitive world of electronic dance music. Named for the year the Hardkiss collective was formed, 1991 references the sounds and sentiments of their early rave days while exploring new funk and pseudo pop directions.

PRESSED ON A LIMITED PICTURE DISC IN A CLEAR SLEEVE
FIRST LISTENED TO BRITISH-BORN DJ JOHN DIGWEED ON HIS WEEKLY TWO-HOUR "TRANSITIONS" SHOW (SYNDICATED AROUND THE WORLD AND ON THE INTERNET). WE CHATTED ONLINE, THEN MET IN LONDON. AFTER A SERIES OF CONVERSATIONS WITH JOHN'S STUDIO PARTNER, NICK MUIR, THE THREE OF US CAME UP WITH THE IDEA OF USING NARRATED PASSAGES FROM THE TRAVELER AS THE BASIS FOR SOME TRACKS.

AS WELL AS BEING RENOWNED PRODUCERS IN THE FIELD OF ELECTRONIC DANCE MUSIC, JOHN DIGWEED AND NICK MUIR REGULARLY CREATE MUSIC FOR FILM AND TELEVISION — INCLUDING A FEATURE TRACK FOR THE MOVIE TRAINSPOTTING. BOTH JOHN AND NICK ARE EXCITED ABOUT THIS LATEST PROJECT AND RELISH THE CREATIVE CHALLENGE IT PRESENTS.

3B3 IS THE DRUG GIVEN TO THE CHARACTER MICHAEL CORRIGAN THAT TRIGGERS HIS FIRST EXPERIENCE OF CROSSING OVER INTO DIFFERENT REALMS. USING THE THEME PROVIDED BY A PASSAGE IN THE NOVEL, JOHN AND NICK HAVE CREATED A TRIPPED-OUT PSYCHEDELIC HOUSE TRACK THE REALLY CAPTURES AND REPRESENTS THE MOOD OF THIS MOMENT.

As a special edition for the 25th release on Balkan Vinyl - six tracks selected from the label's back catalogue - four of them having never before released on vinyl, the remaining two from highly sought after out-of-print releases.

Includes the last ever track released by LFO I Love Acid', Global Goon's acid anthem Craehzrhd' from the very first Balkan release in 2010, and the opener from the late Andreas Gehm 12' on I Love Acid Heaven and Hell'. Luke Vibert, B12, and Plaid round off the EP with tracks that were previously only available as part of a digital download from the label itself (never in shops until now).

This is a vinyl-only release.

After the label launch of Taped Artifact earlier this year with an EP by label co-founder Kevin Arnemann, the second release is coming by courtesy of Los Angeles resident Natan H. With his 'Erklingen EP', Natan H serves up four tracks of emotive dub-influenced house and techno excursions, showcasing his inimitable musical qualities.

Here we go again with lucky number 7 as the new very polish sampler is out and ready to be served worldwide, on time with the approaching 10 year anniversary of Zambon's cult label.

The new instalment contains 4 new polish jams tailored for the modern dancing experience.
You will find here great late night dance floor tracks like the breakbeat-infused and nostalgia-filled FOPA & Tamten re-interpretation of the Polish pop classic 'Jezioro Szczescia' ('The Lake of Happiness') or the Moroder-esque acid groove of Izabela Trojnowska's 'Jestem Twoim Grzechem' ('I am your sin') by Dyyune.

Fans of slower grooves for sure will appreciate Bisti's and Dyyune's take on the the hip-hop driven unsung cut 'W Moim Niebie Nie Ma Gwiazd' ('There are no stars in my heaven') which was recorded by a less known 80's Polish girls band called Fiesta.
The whole package is rounded up by Stachy.DJ (a polish veteran who recorded with DJ Koze) closes the show bringing a hypnotic stomper to the table, a highly addictive dub version of 'Obiecany Raj' ('Promised Paradise') from one of the top Polish synth bands of all time. As always all killers no fillers and a very limited pressing !!

One year after the first release of These Eyes, André Hommen is back on his very own imprint with a two-track EP called 'Metropoli'.

Hommen, who created These Eyes to accompany underground electronic music with unique design and an uncompromising ethos, has established the label within the last 12 months.

'Metropoli' as title track is as catchy as some of Hommen's previous productions. It has been played out for a while and got featured in several key-playlists and podcasts (for example the latest Deep House Amsterdam podcast by Jonathan Kaspar, who will also appear on These Eyes this year).

B side 'Break Us' shows Hommen's love for slower and more experimental music. It has some sort of deepness and mystic throughout the track which is what he likes most.

Terminal M's first lady Monika Kruse can't be prouder than supporting Brasil's techno queen ANNA with another release on her imprint. Female power at its best. ANNA's latest incredible worldwide success is definitely well deserved and should even be improved by these brandnew techno bangers. Don't be afraid, face your fears.

Three fresh introspective house trips from Keco. An excursion to the new blood of South American producers.

It's getting a bit slower for the third release of André Hommen's These Eyes imprint as Marc Romboy delivers an outstanding Electronica track called 'Trapped In An Orbit'.

Romboy has been into the electronic music scene for over two decades, founded and built internationally respected dance-music labels and projects, never tiring of coming up with fresh and innovative ideas to push the limits of electronic sounds. He just released his 'Voyage De La Planete' album, which is pushing the boundaries between classical and electronic music to create both an emotional and atmospheric experience.

'Trapped In An Orbit' is coming with a lot of different electronic layers and might surprise throughout the track - as that's what makes it special. Lauer, who is one half of Tuff City Kids (with Running Back's Gerd Janson), delivers the remix on the B side which is a bit more club-orientated but still leftfield. Slow is the new fast.

The deep melodic house & techno masterpiece collection by Parquet
Recordings is going into the sixteenth round! "Parquet Most Wanted Vol. 16", featuring worldwide supported & roadtested productions by SOLEE, MONASTETIQ feat. HAPTIC, DECIDIOUS, YANNEK MAUNZ, BRASCON and JOHANSON.
