Fast approaching their 100th release, Germany's Moon Harbour has enjoyed a meteoric rise over the years with countless classic releases and rightfully earning a reputation as one the go-to labels for tech-house.
With many of the scene's key figures including Riva Starr, DJ T, Jey Kermis and Butch featuring this year, it's no surprise that man of the moment Emanuel Satie is next up with a brand new release of cavernous dancefloor groovers to ensure the label see's in 2017 on a high.

The Frankfurt-born, Berlin-based producer has become a permanent presence in the beatport tech-house charts, and continues his rich vein of form with three no-nonsense, atmospheric releases full of the type of feelgood, pulsating grooves we've come to know and love him for.

Kicking off with 'All The Time', the title track skillfully builds on the sultry, whisper-like vocals from Sergy that, complimented by a warming bassline, create's a deep and mesmerising piece of peak-time club magic. Next up is 'Cat Fight', an absorbing groover with a smooth throwback sample that skillfully echoes its way alongside some shimmering drum pads into a drop that's guaranteed to get any club moving.

Whilst the first two operate perfectly for any big-room, hands-up action, final track 'Future' is more a slow-burner, with its potent low-end creating a hazy effect further amplified by the hypnotic echo of the vocal.

Sender Berlin, the producer duo of Hendrik Vaak and Torsten Litschko, belong to the great discovers of the 90´s Tresor Headquarters generation. Their "Spektrum Weltweit" debut album released on Tresor Records in 1999, with its subtly fusion of filigree grooves, minimalistic deepness and playful melodies is one of today´s classics in the techno genre. Allmusic appreciates their work with the words: "Sender Berlin keeps tweaking theirsongwriting, never recycling the same song idea twice, but still using a consistent palette of sounds to differing results with each song." The unity of multiplicity influenced also the main idea of their UnGleich record label which was founded in the same year and which set standards as related to stylistic bandwidth and uncompromising quality.

Berlin born and bred producer Ben Rau has been steadily carving out his own brand of stripped-back and groove fuelled house music over the past few years, forming his style as resident DJ for Enzo Siragusa's Fuse parties , before going on to release material with the Fuse London label amongst others such as JusGrooveIt and Body Parts.

Here though we see Rau take strides in his own direction with the launch of his brand new imprint Inkal Music, a vinyl only imprint predominantly focusing on material from the label owner himself.
Taking the lead on the package is title-track 'Don't You Know' which sees Rau deliver a hypnotic slice of dubbed out house fuelled by heavily swung percussion, rumbling subs, snaking dub swells and an enchanting vocal hook uttering the track's title.
On the flip Ben offers 'Metatrack' and takes a more robust approach bringing a sturdy rhythmic foundation to the forefront whilst wandering acid licks, spellbinding atmospherics and vocal shots ebb and flow throughout the compositions eight minutes.

Following on from 2015's mammoth release, Work Them Records call in Flexxseal boss Christopher Joseph, Parisian duo Behzad & Amarou and label founder Spencer Parker to remix CAIAZZO The Dredge EP. Punchy kicks and eerie drones initiate Christopher Joseph's recreation of Lowbrow as numerous dusky atmospherics ebb in and out of the mix. Next up, renowned Concrete Paris residents Behzad & Amarou deliver a mesmerising slice of techno with intricate percussion, floating pads and metallic aesthetics in their remix of Dredge. On the B-side, Work Them's Spencer Parker presents two versions of Refraction that emphasise ample low-end, sinister whirrs and an undulating synth that will continue to shake clubs throughout the future.

Returning with his signature sound, Cuartero is releasing his Moon Crash EP on the revered Hot Creations. Two high-paced, underground rollers to energise and hypnotise, completed by a masterful groove-heavy remix from DJ Sneak & Tripmastaz.

Moon Crash combines a sturdy, looping low-end and rhythmic, mid frequency percussion. A playful mix of synth and vocal chops, stabs and blips, transform into an invigorating ride. The legendary DJ Sneak and fellow house gangster, Tripmastaz, combine forces on their SP1200 Fire Mix, turning the original Moon Crush on it's head with affected vocals, a rejuvenated bassline and a jackin' house beat.

Cuartero hails from Malaga, Spain, and has been releasing music since 2009 on labels like Desolat, Moon Harbour and Saved. In 2015 he was named Best Newcomer DJ at the DJ Awards and in 2017 he won Best Tech House Artist and Artist Of The Year at the Vicious Music Awards.

Fresh for 2018 the ever pioneering Octave One are bringing us some brand new music for the new year. Using their much loved Random Noise Generation alias the upcoming release entitled 'N2 The Enfinate , contains a new single as well as a remake of 'Rock my Soul' in the form of the 'Reborn Vocal Remix'.
The first Random Noise Generation release was 'Falling in Dub' in 1991 and sounding just as fresh 27 years later,'N2 The Enfinate' is due for release this March. For this single a retro energy has been explored in the title track 'The EnFinate', running parallel to a more contemporary groove and rolling, marauding baseline. The second track on the package, 'Rock my Soul' (Reborn Vocal Remix) starts with a strong intent and a weighty bassline paving the way for precise and bright chord stabs.
The single is taken from the new album 'Endustry', a full body of work encompassing 7 full length cuts, set for release in spring.

Nachdem sie daraufhin auch als Co-Produzentin, mit u.a. mit Releases an der Seite von Till Von Sein und Ardalan in Erscheinung trat, lag ihr Fokus darauf, ihren Housesound mit einer Leidenschaft für Melodien und Vocals ganz allein zu produzieren, seit 2013 veröffentlicht sie Solo-EPs. Mittlerweile felsenfest in der Berliner Szene etabliert, nicht nur als DJ und Sängerin sondern auch als Produzentin, gleicht jedes Jahr einer Achterbahnfahrt. Based in Amsterdam, Ghetto Chords is more than just your typical kind of House music maniac. with raw sampling techniques and an extensive re-use of Jazz, Soul and Blues chords, he is basically reinventing the sounds of the ghetto.

Alex Finkin is a music producer/DJ based in Paris, France. Eclecticism is his favorite style. This is how Alex jumps from a scene to another: house music, jazz, blues, Latin, musicals, electro pop, rock, gospel etc... Playing more than 6 instruments on the record, Alex worked as a music producter with Aloe Blacc, Dimitri From Paris, Louie Vega, Dj Spinna, Sebastien Grand, Greg Gauthier, Dj Fudge, Rocco, Manoo, Djeff Afrozila, Kenny Bobien & Many others...

Clément aka Malouane, is a young promising Paris-based producer who doesn't care about anything but groove. With his typical sound, Malouane experiments different production approaches and give all its meaning to the word 'sampling'. He recently launched his label "In Any Case Records" to continue his ascent on the French newcomers' house scene.

Young french duo Dub Striker are early defenders of the pure and strong house music. Influenced by artists like Gerd, Milton Jackson & Fabio Monesi and giving to their sound a raw garage atmosphere, Wilko and Olivier are renovating the French house scene's image with strong drums and mind-blowing melodies.

A2 Alex Finkin's Get in is probably the house hit we were waiting for so long. With a shrewd recipe based on filter house and disco, Alex brings us back to the glory days of the early 90s French touch.

Build on a heavy but smoothy old disco loop, La Petite is that kind of track you'll keep in mind for the rest of the afternoon. With steady strings, basic drums and a forceful use of filter, young producer Malouane hit the bull's eye.

Piano House Track is an insolent interpretation of garage house sounds signed by two kids doing their stuffs in Daddy's basement. Old track produced by Dub Striker back in 2014, that summer house chorus will finally be available on wax.

After the loud aproval of their first vinyl "Green Vision", released on the german label Night Drive Music, the AQUARELL project (headed by Marco Sarto and Andrea Paganin) finally land at SABOTAGE RECORDINGS.

Damian Lazarus' magical live project The Ancient Moons returns today with their new single Five Moons.

The band led by Lazarus, is comprised of Ben Chetwood on drums, Rob Gentry on keyboards, and new vocalist J Appiah. On Five Moons they are also joined by the Australian punk sensation Chela for a dubbed out, soulful excursion into the darker recesses of the dancefloor.

The Ancient Moons first debuted in 2014 with Lover's Eyes, and followed that with the acclaimed album 'Message From The Other Side', dubbed a 'a journey into techno's dreamiest recesses' by The Fader and a 'psychedelic masterpiece' by Vice. Since then The Ancient Moons have travelled the world with their highly immersive live show, supported Roisin Murphy on tour and played at Glastonbury festival and Melt! amongst others.

Last year the band resurfaced, after locking themselves away to record in the Italian countryside, with I Found You, which nabbed a BBC Essential New Tune and stunning remixes from Black Coffee and Patrice Baumel. Today Five Moons offers another glimpse into this summer's forthcoming album..

As owner and curator of the Exotic Dance Records label , J. Albert has released a steady handful of projects on his Brooklyn based imprint , as well as showcasing new music from Deejay Xanax and Person Of Interest . Add to that, recent releases on the 1080p label and Black Opal , and J. Albert is fast making a mark on the scene for his raw and undiluted deep fusion of house, techno and jazzy vibes. His debut EP for Hypercolour opens up with 'Don't Hide It' ; a bumpin' and jazzy flavoured house cut, resplendent with rolling snare drums and warm stabs, a sampled double bass riff and choppy vocal refrains 'Xtra Sauce' is another stellar house track, fans of the Ron Trent/Prescription Chicago sound will instantly find an affection here with the rolling drums and soft keys, all pushed along at an energetic pace, whilst 'Vista' finds J. Albert in more playful mode, carving out a 10 minute jackin' underground house vibe that cuts raw and hypnotising.

Next up on Dusky's renowned 17 Steps label is the return of long term pal Kiwi. Having supported the lads on 9 of the 17 Steps tour dates and having also provided the 15th release in the label catalogue - the fellow Londoner now readies his 'Oooh' EP which comes backed up with a remix from Feel My Bicep affiliate Hammer.

Kiwi's sound is one defined by positive, kinetic feeling - joining the dots between Detroit Techno, Soul and Balearic. With previous releases on Futureboogie, Life and Death and Moscoman's lauded Disco Halal imprint, he's garnered several accolades including reaching number #85 in Mixmag's Top 100 tunes of 2017 and sitting at #1 in the genre chart for a total of 9 weeks with his 'Orca' EP back in 2016.

Now - continuing on his ascent, Kiwi lays out a pair of rapturous, gooey House jams that lands right on time for the festival season. On 'Oooh' - Vocal lines swirl over a largely beatless backing track. A rich, balmy feeling unfolds behind synth chimes and layered delays which work together to form an irresistible summer DJ tool. 'Andromeda' then follows up and blends 80's soundtrack-tinged stabs with crispy drums and thick sub bass before being accompanied by a pulsating synth line that carries the track to a delectable crescendo. Hammer then closes things up with a somewhat hallucinogenic take on 'Oooh' with LFOs, analogue sweeps and blobs of acid bleeding together to cap off an altogether warm and woozy trip.

Berlin based electronic mainstay Marquis Hawkes has announced details of his second LP 'The Marquis of Hawkes', due out 24th August 2018. Ahead of this, Hawkes will release a new single featuring acclaimed UK soul singer Jamie Lidell on the 20th July. The single, entitled 'We Should Be Free', features, alongside the low slung but melancholic original version, three reinterpretations of the song, remixed by Hawkes himself. Both this, and the essential previous single from June, 'Don't U', which featured the vocal talents of Ursula Rucker, will appear on the forthcoming album in an extended version.The album will be the producer's second LP for us, following his critically acclaimed debut 'Social Housing' for the label, which was released in 2016. Entitled 'The Marquis of Hawkes', the new album adheres to a specific sound palette whilst still displaying eclecticism across its eight tracks. Opening with the beat-less droning ambience of 'Beton Theme', the album takes in a variety of themes from across the house music spectrum, from the deep and dubby meditation of 'Instrument Of Thought' to the body jerking rhythms and retro bass stabs of 'Tough Love', the introspective mood of 'The Matrix', to the soulful New Jersey styled House grooves with a contemporary twist of 'Sunset', building through the optimistic joyousness of 'Hope In Our Hearts' before closing with Lidell's heartfelt and passionate emotional overload on 'We Should Be Free'. First emerging in 2012, after being sought out by Glasgow label Dixon Avenue Basement Jams, and having previously been heavily involved with the free festival sound-system culture, the London born artist's iconic sound has taken shape with the influence of music from cities like Chicago, Detroit and New York alongside the UK's underground house scene.
With both depth and clarity of vision, Marquis Hawkes' second album for Houndstooth expertly hones a shining hybrid of classic slamming house and grittily soulful optimism, making for a career-defining piece of work.

SIS, the alias of Burak Sar, returns once again to Crosstown Rebels. Following on from releases such 2012's Round Pen, 2015's Sombra India and last year's The Blindside, the German-born producer- heavily influenced by his Turkish roots- presents us with this tribal triple-threat.

SIS explains that it was sending his first ever demo tape to Crosstown Rebels in 2004 that initiated his relationship with the label and tells us to 'expect some rolling dance floor breakers' .

Karmir Nur gets the EP underway. Sensual strings abound with a heady, tribal chant that lulls you into a state of hypnosis. Tima rolls along, building slowly as the layers pull you in deeper still towards those familiar strings. Dandini brings back the tribal chanting. The vocals are backed by mesmeric drums, perfect for an intoxicating, dance floor procession.

Burak Sar has released a number of records on renowned imprints such as Get Physical Music, Mobilee and Cocoon Recordings as well as running his own successful label, Cocolino Records.

Steve Bug and Cle go way back. As friends, DJ colleagues, co-producers and label mates the pair have enjoyed a close bond for nearly twenty years. Their Rejected debut sees them stepping back into the studio once again to create a brand new brace of acid-tinged club cuts that whilst looking to past, are focused firmly on the future.


Both 'Together' and 'That's Right' are a celebration of the pair's musical partnership, with roots planted way back in the early nineties, when the ecstasy fuelled dance floor hysteria would be stoked by hypnotic, minimal arrangements that worked subtle variations of loops and FX for maximum roof-raising effect. Abrupt frequencies, massive breaks and big bass drops may be the fashion of today, but back in those heady, electric and exciting times it was the gentle growth and delicate expansion of a track that really brought the goose bumps.

Steve & Cle have sought to deliver these same sensations here with an excitement that steadily grows over the duration of the tracks through expert filter fiddling and unpredictable changes in structure.

After Agoria and Oxia, Dino Lenny is now entering the Sapiens family. Founder of Frenetica and Fine Human Records, Dino Lenny starts young as a dj in a small radio in Cassino (Italy) and after a while he moves to London where soon he starts enjoying successful releases on labels like Ellum, Innervisions, Crosstown Rebels, Exploited, Yoshitoshi, Toolroom, Suara and many others. Dino also gaines notoriety remixing Underworld, Missy Elliot, Timbaland and collaborating with everyone from Scissor Sisters to WuTang Clan and Madonna. In 2015 Dino signes to Ellum 3 eps in a row 'It's Saturday", 'Living in a Song' & the anthem 'This Is a Love song". 2016 sees Dino remixing in partnership with Seth Troxler 'The Magic Room' out on Seth's label (Play It Say It) and contemporary on Innervisions 'A Certain Distance' with a great Rework from label boss Dixon himself. This year Correspondant will take part in this exciting journey with a track that Dino wrote with Fiberroot called 'Suddenly' meanwhile his label Fine Human Records continues building nicely with great support. With his debut solo album, Italian producer Ness proposes 10 variations on an additional notion of trance through music, which he has chosen to name as Trancemigration. Levitating on wide sonic vistas, spiralling on fluid, rippling melodies, pushed out on propulsive basslines, these vessels of the soul we call our bodies experience, then, the nature of Trancemigration. An unfiltered expression of Ness ´s will to use the music as a vehicle for self-improvement and evolution, in the clubs or under wide open skies, a vision of the undefinable moment of letting out and passing through, an embracement of the gift that is the moment.
