Alleviated Records is proud to present the Ken Gill EP. Ken was on the scene while Bernard (Badie) and Larry (Heard) worked on music ideas between 1993 and 1997 and they both help out on "Love Moon", our first selection. Larry's "psychedelic" interpretation constructed around Bernard's bassline idea and Ken's original elements. "Just A Test" is up next with its' "tracky" feel that dj's, dancers and all who like to keep it "no-frills" should enjoy (we hope!). "Idol Mind" has an interesting combination of "moody", "upbeat" and "whimsical" that draws you in as you listen. "Jack Wit Honey" is another that draws you in as you listen but this time with a "melancholy" overtone combined with a fun "bounce". Ken has only been making trax for a short time but we were all pleasantly surprised to hear his ideas right from start when he decided to try his hand at it. Berlin-based American producer P.Leone returns to Spencer Parker's Work Them Records with arguably his biggest offering to date, featuring two standout cuts entitled 'The El Dorado EP'.

Upon being discovered by Spencer Parker, P.Leone dropped his first two releases on Work Them Records in 2016. Since then he has continued to rise, launching E-Missions alongside Caiazzo last year before kickstarting 2018 with a four-track techno release on Rekids. He now returns to Parker's renowned imprint with arguably his biggest offering to date.

With its looping vocals and robust drums, 'El Dorado (Bump Yo Ass Off Mix)' is a monster of a track designed to throw dancefloors into absolute revelry. On the flip, 'Dancing To Get You Back' features crystalline synths, purring bass and a medley of breakbeat percussion.

Rising stars Pentatones, justly lauded for their distinctive blend of oblique pop, jazz-inflected electronica and languorous torch songs, receive the full Steve Bug treatment on Poker Flat's latest 12 transmission: a meeting of minds that produces an utterly seductive dancefloor anthem. The original version of 'Karma Game' appears on the Pentatones album 'Ouroboros' which will be released early 2015. Distilling the original's haunting noir pop into a deep techno groove, Bug suspends tinkling chimes and tuned woodblocks around a gritty bass stab. A choir of siren voices follow, hauntingly layered as the tension builds and the riff tightens its grip on synapse and sinew alike. But all this is merely a prelude to the introduction of Delhia de France's vocals: a heartstring-pulling foil to Bug's intense repetitions, creating a heady blend that is deeply involving and instantly memorable. An instrumental version on the flipside gives harder-leaning DJs the chance to focus on the hypnotic riff and crisp, percussive touches that comprise the trademark Steve Bug sound, topping off a rich and unforgettable packagep.

Nerram launches The Galactic Shelf with a debut 3-track EP including a remix by Voigtmann. Combining driving, futuristic sounds with deep grooves and breaks - this trio of cosmic cuts come dancefloor-ready and represent the artist's diverse sound encapsulated. Enigmatic and Micron on the A side are an Odyssey through big basslines and twisting synths, followed up by the experimental, spacey Round and Round on B1. Completing the release is an altogether different interpretation of the first B side track by Voigtmann - a grooving, stripped-back outro by this excellent producer.

Perth native turned Melbourne local Roza Terenzi is one of Australia's exciting new electronic artists. Her debut for Voyage delivers a three-piece suite of experimental, rhythmic workouts; forward thinking with a heavy lean on early rave nostalgia.

BRYAN KESSLER is not a musician, he is a force of nature. The young talent's refreshing perspective on electronic club music shows a love for powerful sounds that so many other producers are lacking these days.

The release starts with YOU LOOK LIKE TRUNKS, a heavily driving, desert inspired piece that makes clear hat Kessler grew up in rock music. His second track VEGETA charges up with a red-glowing synth lead that eventually explodes in a wave of youngster mayhem. Teens are still doing it!The B side is dedicated to LUDWIG ZIBELL's remixes of both tracks that continue Kessler's energy with precision and warmth. Electronic music label Sheik 'N' Beik announces its new release SNBV013, an EP called Daisy Cutter by JEM. This EP is the third release in their series aimed at celebrating the diversity and history of New York and its boroughs. As Sheik 'N' Beik's hometown and source of constant inspiration, the label focuses on spotlighting and paying homage to the five boroughs of New York including Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn, Staten Island
and The Bronx. Each borough's flag is given a modern and colorful twist via the cover art and design of
each outer jacket. The first release in the series, Manhattan, featured local NYC hero and co-founder of
Voodoo Down Records N'conduit, and the second, Kathisma resident Mr. Dello's Vaadhoo EP. The new EP from JEM, dedicated to The Bronx, opens up with title track Daisy Cutter, which directly sets the tone of the release with a straightforward, dynamic techno, elevated by an eerie, dark atmosphere. It
goes on with Neb, a downtempo second track with a lighter tone that progressively gets back to the initial
mysterious mood and capriciously brightens it with warmer back-and-forth sounds. Next on the 12' is
Semiotic, a third track structured by a clever balance of deconstructed rhythms and sparse acid and synth
melodies in the continuity of the lighter, warmer mood previously built up. The EP ends with Temple, with
a more aggressive accent animated by several lighter melodic layers and a stifled background bass.

Matt Edwards' newly launched reissue label, R-Time Records, prepares its third release, the second instalment of Sir Lord Comixx 'Retroactive'.

R-Time Records shines a light on classic tracks that didn't always get the recognition they deserve, with the label's first two releases coming from Sir Lord Comixx and FBK. Real name Amoon Andrews, Sir Lord Commix's discography has been in high demand for many years, evident by soaring market prices. The A-side of 'Retroactive (Part Two)' features two tracks from a rare untitled release on 'Hard Up', whilst the B-side is made up of 'Chicago Jazz' from the 'Funk Box EP' on Eukahouse (under his a.Moon' moniker in '98) and 'Motionvibe' from 'Azid Jazz EP' on Cynic in '05.

Cosmic synths join wonky arps in 'UR My Omen' before moving into the more up-tempo 'Fog Horn' with its robust drums, off-beat bleeps and filtered effects. 'Chicago Jazz' takes things into deeper territories with crystalline Rhodes and jazz-influenced samples until 'Motionvibe' concludes the package with its syncopated structure comprised of twisted sounds, murky atmospherics and effervescent nuances.

Second part of the Tambien Project series. Released by Public Possession / Under the Influence. Three carefully selected tracks that got reinterpreted by Tambien, which is a collaboration between Bartellow and Marvin & Valentino.

PP proudly presents another double urge to turn up the volume": The 12th offering on Public Possession comes from TMO (aka Leonid Lipelis). Lipelis, who is based in Moscow and whom we met there first when playing in Russia, is a music maniac. This was clear almost instantly and at some point during the night we found ourselves on the couch in his homestudio, where he played us an array of tracks from his various guises and projects. One of the first tracks presented to us was Melodic Jam". It grabbed our attention immediately with its raw acid sound merging perfectly with beautiful atmospheric synth pads and an almost naive melody - powerful and emotional stuff. Since TMO is a project based around the concept of Lipelis recording one-take jams with his studio hardware (only doing slight adjustments subsequently) the sound has a lot of grit and spontaneity. Jam IV concludes this EP. Shorter and a bit slower than its counterpart on side A, it gets to the point quickly and leaves no questions unanswered - except when is the next one coming

Incepted just three years after the beginning of the Kompakt venture in 2001, it's safe to say the Speicher series holds a very special place in both the heart of the label and its audience's. Taking the helm for the 102nd instalment in the catalogue (and the first Speicher to feature 3 tracks) we find an eclectic squad of producers triangulating from all corners of the globe but united by their boundless science of the groove.

Longtime friends turned studio companions, Enzo Elia (of Balearic Gabba Soundsystem fame) and Musumeci join forces for the first time on the unfaltering late night hip-swayer 'Gothic Safari', kicking things off with a relentless deep dancefloor epic à la Âme. The vibe then swerves into further savannah-friendly audio territories with unheard French newcomer La Marine who, like his glorious predecessor Oxia (but is it fate) operates out of the mountain-ringed city of Grenoble, here popping up with an off-axis downtempo electro hybrid of unknown provenance.

Looping the loop with maximal tension and mind-piercing depth,
rising Bolivian duo Animal Print serve up the aptly named
Badalamenti-esque roller 'The Last Night Of Laura Palmer' - a track that won't fail at recalling the 'Twin Peaks' aficionados the bizarro ambiences of Lynch's acclaimed TV show all the while following a rather straightforward, frontally club-ready sense of style, resulting in a fine balance between down-to-earth pragmatism and unbridled reverie.

Antique Fragments EP is the third release of our Kommuna Tapes imprint. The A side starts with a quirky fast-paced track created by a mysterious producer named Schematix in 1997. Thinktank, an electro/breakbeat act who signed his first and unique EP only a few years later in 2000, takes us on a punchy yet dreamy techno journey. On the flip side, after Schematix undusted his hardware to extract the stems for the occasion, wizard Sergio Moreira mastered the challenge of creating a slower and deeper version of the track, while upcoming Madrid talent Javier Moreno closes the release with a bouncy acid burner.

Track by track, we build a Kommuna of artists who share our insatiable appetite for music discovery, guided by a certain vision of the dancefloor: deep stripped-down grooves, sometimes challenging, always with character.

The Passage was one of the first releases on the brand new Apollo label in 1992 and the three tracks stand as some of Juan Atkins finest and most under rated music.

Man Power's Me Me Me label proudly presents a very special new compilation, 'We We We', which will see all profits donated to the vital Help Refugees charity. The release boasts 25 new and exclusive tracks from a wide range of artists both new and established including Pional, Juan Maclean, Shit Robot, Medlar, ASOK, Ian Blevins and more. As well as the full album, two limited, vinyl-only samplers will also be released, with each featuring one exclusive track that is not available anywhere digitally.

The recipient of the albums profits, Help Refugees, is the leading UK NGO in a new movement of humanitarian aid, helping to plug the gaps in services not provided to those displaced by war. The man behind the compilation's concept is Man Power aka Geoff Kirkwood, an established producer with credits for his off kilter mix of house, disco, ambient and techno on labels like John Talabot's Hivern Discs, ESP Institute and Jennifer Cardini's Correspondent.

Kirkwood says, 'I have wanted to do a compilation of this nature for a long time. I'm incredibly lucky, as well as eternally grateful, to know so many talented artists who were willing to donate wonderful music towards this important cause.' The gratitude clearly flows both ways with Help Refugees director Philli Boyle saying 'We are so grateful to Man Power and to all the incredible artists who have shown solidarity with displaced people across the world'.

The superb compilation kicks off in plaintive fashion with absorbing ambient tracks from Ian Blevins, Dharma and ASOK. Pale Blue's 'Eyes' then brings deep and persuasive drums into the picture with thoughtful, sombre synths lingering up top. There is a real beauty to much of the selection here, as demonstrated by more wistful chords on Forriner's lush deep house day dream 'Sunrise in Bensham', while jacking dance floor tackle comes from Pink Skull and Medlar's pumping 909 drums and the pixelated melodic delights of Christophe's rugged, Chicago-indebted jack track 'Winder'.

Man Power himself pops up with an epic nine minute opus that is broad, sweeping house music at its most dramatic and evocative, and Pional's 'Night Charmer' is a typically inventive cut with icy drones and dehumanised vocals. Big hitters like Shit Robot offer a heavy dose of dub house, while 'Quantume Reach' by Juan Maclean (feat Amy Douglas) is gorgeously off beat house with thoughtful chords and spine-tingling vocals with a poignant message.

This is a compilation jam-packed with a broad array of accomplished and standout sounds, and that it is all for charity only makes it an even more essential and welcome release.
The full album is released exclusively via Bandcamp on 4th May in exchange for a 'no minimum' donation to the charity, with the label asking to please give generously.

Concealed Sounds return with a fresh 12" Vinyl for 2014.
This time around we have invited our friends from mysterious SYLPHE label to remix the title track by Martinez, and they delivered a monster!

On the A side we find: "Consolidation (Sylphe Lydløs Dub)", where we are taken on a journey thru sound and rhythms for over 13 minutes. The remix kicks off in a kind of tracky way, with a strong focus on the irresistible groove laid down by Holdie Gawn & Micawber. After the first small breaks and manipulations to the groove, we are introduced to some very trippy modular made sound design. These sounds takes the lead of the remix and forms into small melodies in a very organic way as the track progesses. While you can still sense the ingredient from the original track, Sylphe takes a different directions and offers a good opposite to the original with their own special twist.

The original version of "Consolidations" is presented on the B side of this 12". Its a more dirty groove ridden track that goes on for well over 10 minutes, developing from a broken beat groove into a more danceable Techno pieces, with its shattering metallic sounds, bubbling layers of baselines, deep sub and lush pad chords to give it some spacey atmosphere.

Two very different version of a modern instalment in Techno music.

Vivus Records, the underground South German label, invites London-based and RLZ Music label boss Rowlanz for an acid-infused journey thourghout some minimal streets.

Having received constant support from the likes of Gescu, Barac or Archie Hamilton, Rowlanz is a name you should keep an eye on in the future and it is fitting that he has decided to collaborate with Melodie, a young Romanian prodigy that has had a quite meteoric rise in the past year.

We kick things off with Laniakea which is full of brisk grooves with just a pinch of an acid feeling to it that will get you moving accordingly. The hi-hats and subtle bassline complete each other to a mesmerising effect and the background sounds give a lovely deepness to the track.

The stunning vocals on 312 act as a reminder that you can always expect a surprise from Rowlanz and he is in full creative mode here. You can almost imagine the radiant energy boost that this track would give to dance floor enthuasiasts after a long night with a dark atmosphere.

Melodie's interpretation of 312 has the Romanian's trademark sound all over it: acid sounds covered with a strong but linear bassline that floats all over the song.

Someone Outside takes us on a journey into space with three pieces of shimmering and emotive techno.

Constellation opens the EP with a broken rhythm, sizzling hats and shimmering chord stabs.

Forbidden Planet mixes driving percussion patterns with a deep pads.

Lost City resolves the EP with an energetic bassline and arpeggio hook.

THE ARTIST

CrossNineTroll is a talented Hungarian DJ/producer duo. They formed back in 2011. The two friends are well known artists of the Hungarian electronic dance music scene since the mid of 90's. Their sound is influenced mostly by house and techno, with a modicum of the oldschool sound. Both together and separately have played in most of the local and lot of international clubs and festivals. Their most successful track so far is called Wanna Say' released on BUTCH's label BOUQ. The track was prominent on the label and had lately become the labels 3rd bestseller track of 2013. LOCO DICE played this track for over 12 months. We don't really need to explain you how excited we got to get no one else but our long time friend and MOON HARBOUR head honcho MATTHIAS TANZMANN on board, to remix the main track SOMETHING STRONG for us. Taking a look at his ridiculous summer schedule and the massive successful release of his latest EP on NIC FANCIULLIS - SAVED RECORDS imprint called NO SLEEP, we are even more happy that he found the time to deliever us this monster of a remix. By adding a sick funky bassline and and some air cutting sharp hi-hats, he takes the original track to a totally different level. The perfect arrangement and ruthless drive of his interpretation turns every club into a sweatbox. Thank you Matthias!

We are glad to welcome youANDme feat. Brothers' Vibe to the kitties family after great releases on labels like Desolat, Cocoon and many more. In House Will Survive Martin collaborates with Tony in an amazing, underground and raw history with an acid bass and a cool spoken vocal leading the track.
For the remixes we count on two great artists for two different approaches the legendary DJ T. delivers a strong, percussive, dancefloor-oriented version then West Coast maestro Joeski's remix is a full on groove laden deep dub for lovers of classic house music. Powerful release!

The second Modugroove installment from the 100Hz studio is a mixture of live improvised session recordings and arranged music taken also from live studio recordings. 2 tracks are collaboration projects with good friends of mine who happen to be great artists. We have 1 from Richard Rogers aka Black Booby and myself and 1 from Julian Giles and me aka Junction Chaos. This 4 track Ep spans several styles of music from deep Techno to graceful and emotive string dance. The focus of the EP and the label is the unusual, trying to not use usual drum patterns and 4 beat structures,

Following up our previous Daniel Sanchez release, we are more than proud to have for this one the Impropmtu Remixes EP edition which includes 4 fantastic remixes by Nima Gorji, Martinez, Doubtingthomas and Faster. The first track is Nima's remix from Pearled Into Droplets in which he created an exceptional base with a prominent tech rhythm, in which we can perceive a few percussion layers that work amazingly with the original synths. Those synths create an incredible atmosphere as they softly evolve in a slow progression during the track, creating tension and release, exactly when is needed. The whole minimalistic approach brings a more than suitable vibe that is driven by a rock solid bass line too. The second remix is from Martinez, who also worked over Pearled, but he went through a more experimental and deeper road with an exquisite re-interpretation, in which the articulations created between the several percussive sounds are beautifully placed in such way that, alongside the synth pad in the backend, creates a superb hypnotic vibe and groove. The third remix is from Daniel's track Yi and was charge of Doubtingthomas, who flawlessly captured the primal essence of the original track with a superb twist in the rhythmic side, in which he created an amazing blend between of minimal house and deep, that easily immerses the listener into a powerful trip. This remix also presents several melodic elements working together with the original track sounds, like the strings during the break and synth pads, which adds a beautiful musical and organic feeling to the remix. The last and not least of the remixes is also from Yi, but in charge of the talented producer Faster, who also took as working base the ambiences and textures from the original track to create a subtle and beautiful minimalistic vibe alongside the percussive elements. The most distinctive sound of his remix is the electric synth riff, which adds soft craziness, and lays the ground perfectly for the hypnotic percussions to take place later on the track, which also finishes the remix's groove exquisitely.

Fort Romeau's second outing for Running Back is another exercise in dance floor synthesis. Starting where its predecessor 'Saku' left us with the green shimmer of a Fairlight, 'Emulators' - you might have guessed it - greets us with the grey realism of an E-MU II. Purchased first by none other than Stevie Wonder, immortalised in Ferris Bueller's ode to absenteeism and the original loon sampler, there is nothing this machine cannot do for you - the same goes for Fort Romeau. His disco-informed, trance-induced tracks that usually end on a high note, are elevated by ambient soundscapes that end with a bang and sugarcoat your warm-up slots, while bird-heavy bonus beats that stand up on their own or help you out in the mix. Nice like a stick of liquo-rice.
