Jaime Read - Target This Mf
MC015
Mint Condition
12inch07.11.201707.NOV.17

HouseDeepTechAcidTechnoTechno

Mint Condition - A reissue label focussed on excavating the outer fringes of classic House and Techno. Unreleased mixes, classics and overlooked gems mined from the last 20+ of contemporary dance music are the order of the day. From Chicago, Detroit and New York to London and beyond, Mint Condition have got their expert digging hats on to bring you exclusive heat and those rarer than rare jams that have been on your wants list for years! Dig in....
Hot on the heels of his 'Relief Sevensixty' EP we are pleased to announce the latest instalment of Jaime Read cuts from the vaults. The 'Target This MF' EP is another collection of golden-era jams from Read's envious archive. Steeped in history, these infamous tracks are now seeing the light of day again. You only have to have a quick online search to read the fascinating story of the journey of this music and then maybe this EP title will make sense! Kicking off with the serious Detroit leanings of 'P.E.G.' you get a real taste of what's in store, frantic claps and detuned synth swells combine to create a pacey and essential slice of futurist Techno. A2 'Sux' is another epic piece of space electronics, tough drum machine programming and swirling sounds give the track an epic feel, mildly disorientating in the best possible way it's hard to believe this music originates from the South coast of the UK! B1 'Rein (Pt.1)' is mining a deeper, House infused sound. A sublime groove that tips it's hat to the masters with a serious bassline that just won't stop. Funky machine music of the highest order. The EP finishes with the absolute killer 'Peeano', a jam that flips Jazz on it's head in zero gravity, incessant piano lines drive us deep into the speaker stacks and it feels great. The whole EP is a total trip. Essential music from an unheralded UK legend.
The 'Target This MF' EP has been legitimately released with the full involvement of Jaime Read for 2017 and remastered by London's Curve Pusher from the original sources especially for Mint Condition. 100% legit, licensed and released. Dug, remastered, repackaged and brought to you by the caring folks at Mint Condition!

Michael Klein - Hub Three
SNDST034
SECOND STATE AUDIO
12inch05.10.201705.OCT.17

HouseTechTechnoTechno

It's time again for another instalment of our HUB series and this time we hand the reigns over to none other than the extremely talented and multi-faceted Micheal Klein. Over the span of four mental tunes, Klein showcases his production prowess and style collaborating with Pan-Pot, Stephan Hinz, Amelie Lens and Roman Lindau. Not only is this HUB Michael's first collaborative EP but also his first time allowing anyone into his creative process, and in his own words, it was 'an exciting process with different approaches per artist' using FaceTime studio sessions, online collaborations, and in person encounters to create the final results. Klein's creative approach and control doesn't stop there as he also states, "I don't like to give creative tasks out of my hands. Therefore I shot the cover image myself on black and white film which I also developed to keep full control of the visual appearance of the overall release.'

Diving into the music we start with Klein's alliance with Pan-Pot on 'Haze Effect' and they waste no time getting to the point. Rapid fire percussion, spiraling synth lines and massive roars of bass are put on display resulting in a climactic race for dance floor destruction. Following suit, Klein teams up with Stephan Hinz on 'Far Sight' for an other worldly trek into the ethereal club moments as heavy drums carry twisted, heated sonics to distant heights. Flipping to the B-side we see Klein and Amelie Lens join forces for a tour-de-force display of loopy, psychedelic Techno on 'Blinding Light' where distorted drums and massive percussions hit slowly and lead the listener into hypnotic realms of dance exhilaration. Last and certainly not least is Klein's collaboration with his good friend and producer extraordinaire, Roman Lindau with their banger 'Secret Passenger' where classic House sounds collide with time-honored Techno production resulting in an absolutely stellar tune perfect for anywhere and anytime. Dig into HUB 003 with Micheal Klein and experience his first collaborative venture and the magic that resulted. Enjoy!

Seth Troxler - This is Then
PLAY026
PLAY IT SAY IT
12inch02.05.201802.MAY.18

HouseTechTechnoTechno

The inimitable Seth Troxler is next up on his own influential label with something of a milestone release: His 'Finally Physical EP' is a precursor to a compilation album, 'This Is Then', due in May this year.

'This Is Then' will be a typically unique celebration of Seth's 10 years as a major force in the Europe underground scene. It will draw a line in the sand on the first part of the Michigan born artist's recording career before he embarks on the next chapter. This preceding EP features four productions that were never properly released and they serve as a taster to the forthcoming compilation, with two originals and two remixes, one of which comes under Seth's lesser used alias, Thrill Cosby.

Up first is the brilliant 'Blackclap', which was used by Audion on his fabric mix in 2006. It's a twisted techno bumper with hiccuping synths and skewed pads bleeding out from a tightly programmed drum line. Warm chord smears bring a sense of soul to the druggy groove and ensure this one will work as well in an intimate club as it would on a larger stage. The deliciously dark 'Aggression' is a freaky late-night cut with minimal drums and alien lifeforms scurrying all over. It's trippy and otherworldy, with a rubbery groove carrying you deeper down the rabbit hole through a wonderfully weird spectrum of sound.

On the flip is a Thrill Cosby remix of Hearthrob's 'Signs' which Seth included on his Boogybytes mix from 2010. A pressure cooker of white noise, whispers, synth drones and tension building sequences it eventually breaks into a supple and slippery groove that makes you want to pop your body. Last but not least is the skeletal techno funk of Stefan Tretau's 'Chittagong' (Seth Troxler Jack Moves Remix). It's synthetic and abstract, with watery droplets and coarse claps wrapping round the restless drum line.

Inventive and original throughout, these four blistering tracks prove Seth Troxler has always had his own unique studio sound and serve as a great teaser for the upcoming compilation.

Unknown Artist - Forgot
PFE002
PFEIFFER
12inch02.05.201802.MAY.18

HouseDeepTechTechnoTechno

From the redwood forests of Big Sur and the industrial warehouses of downtown Los Angeles comes PFEIFFER, a label dedicated to quality and a diverse musical output. Pfeiffer follows in the footsteps of labels such as Svek and Kompakt, known for releasing a wide range of techno and house with a common thread of unique and unpredictable energy. Looking to bring this type of eclectic curation into the modern era, Pfeiffer draws inspiration from the raw simplicity and effortless magnetism of its namesake location on the central coast of California.

The sophomore release from Pfeiffer is here, and with it new sounds and styles from the label's anonymous lead producer. 'Forgot' kicks things off with an off kilter, swinging groove and clever zany synth work to match. Shifting basslines bounce under classic Robert Owens vocals, evolving into a huge riff over the course of the tune. On the flip, 'Feel The Love' follows suit with a sub-heavy, stomping groove, staying in the deeper end of the spectrum. A playful synth riff grows throughout the track, weaving throughout the combination of chopped vocals, analog sounds and hand played percussion.

HouseChicagoTechVinyl OnlyTechnoTechno

The debut EP of new-born Junction Records begins with thorough exploration of driving and percussive techno sounds in the form of label head Cool Tiger's Warehouse for All'. From atmospheric, suspensive build-ups to warped vocals and glitchy fills, this intelligent production from Paris based producer is a sweet taster of things to come and stands proud and deserving as A1 on this release. Next up on this release we move to groovier territory with French duo M&C's Droofin'. Swinging percussion and warm, soft synths are undoubtedly the driving force behind this track. Old School grooves contrasted with luscious, slow-moving pads in the breakdowns combine to create an infectious and familiar house sound. In coherence with Junction's pattern, the final track on this release from German duo Dominik Fry and Skipio is as warm as you would expect. Hypnotising vocals, hovering subby pads and gentle arpeggiators characterise this melodic easy-listener.

Blumoog Music is back with the first release of this year. World- renowned top producer Alexi Delano, (minus, Plus8, Drumcode and others) teamed up with superhot Marko Nastic (Adult records, Carillon Records) to give life to a track where bass and analog kick are intertwined creating an earthquake effect for dancefloors and big rooms.

Bossman M.R.E.U.X follows with another high quality production. Psychadelia and power prevale, a real dark tunnel with psychological shades. Pure elegance in usual M.R.E.U.X style. Closing the project the maestro Steve Stoll with his two tracks that literally make this EP whole, rich with quality and experience.

Michael L Penman / Scott Kemp - Lazy Boy / Sirma

HouseMinimalTech

This summer sees the return of Decay Records with the 'Golden Gate Sampler 2' featuring two original tracks from Michael L Penman and Scott Kemp and remixes from Igor Vicente and Sascha Dive.

Decay Records was launched in late 2013 and over its now twelve releases has unleashed material from the likes of Jay Tripwire, Alex Arnout, Ed Davenport and Franck Roger. Here the label pushes on with part two of its 'Golden Gate Sampler' series, welcoming Ovum / M-nus artist Michael L Penman and Mobilee / Hypertone's Scott Kemp onto the roster. Michael L Penman's 'Lazy Boy' opens up proceedings on a dark and hypnotic tip with dreamy pad lines, modulating bass tones and weighty distorted rhythms. Belgium's Igor Vicente reworks 'Lazy Boy' next and provides a more reduced take on things with sparse percussive elements and menacing atmospheres. On the flip side Scott Kemp turns in 'Sirma', a subtly unfolding groove-led number built around stripped rhythms and soft synth flourishes, while Sascha Dive rounds off the package by reshaping 'Sirma' into a brooding, seven-minute mesmeric workout.

As the Monkeys effortlessly layer synths and organs in almost psychedelic manner, crowned by the manically sweet vocoder theme. Initial Programs is a new project by respected ambient producer Mick Chillage. It is also Mick's first ever vinyl release and sees the Irish artist focus on deep, acid-tinged techno and melodic electro. The background to the release is a simple one; First Cut boss Richard Be was a long admirer of Mick's music and discovered an electro project he did as The Shape. Over the course of emails, pints and coffees, the music for Initial Programs' first record came together. The resulting three tracks are melancholic, late night jams, the soundtrack to high speed cruises on the streets of south Dublin.

Fontan - The Convenanza Remixes
HNRUK005
Höga Nord Rekords
12inch25.08.201725.AUG.17

HouseTechTechnoTechno

Music must be free. Freedom in music is often suppressed by lack of, or by obstacles for creativity, which stops forward progression. The development that Fontan's songs have gone through, reaching this EP is unexpected and surprising but still, the bodies and characters of the original songs are intact and recrafted with fingerspitzengefuhle. From the core of Fontan's psychedelic and dreamy music, the artists involved on this release have hit cuts and chips off like Cro-Magnon people creating specific tools. Tools with the power to blow holes open in the listeners mind.
Fontan's music has fascinated and captured a choosy audience for over a decade now, and many are those who have, or have wanted to remix their material. This time, in the shape of an ambitious 12inch EP, various artists' love for the band's music shines brightly: The Covenanza Remixes is released on Hoga Nord Rekords and is strictly limited to 300 physical copies. The record comes out by reason of Fontan's gig on Andrew Weatherall's prestigious festival 'Covenanza' in September this year (2017).

Fontan have had the honour to be remixed by some of the most interesting names in electronic music: Red Axes, Timothy J. Fairplay, Khidja, Mythologen and Pardon Moi give their take on tracks from the duo's latest release Fontan (Hoga Nord Rekords, 2017). The music moves in the landscapes of Leftfield, Techno, House and New Wave.

The evolution of Fontan continues from the cold and barren landscapes of the Swedish west coast, through some of the deepest cave like studios in Europe, out on to the continental club scene.

The EP stays true to Jey's trademark sound as the producer delivers three tracks to take the dancefloor through to the small hours. The EP opens with Jessycat, a bubbling tribal affair that implores you to move. An array of vocals bleeds into the record taking you on a journey to outer space. Fien features co-producers Nukov & Yelmet and takes a darker turn with a rumbling bass and intense vocals that state 'my head spinning like a merry go'. The outer space sounds continue into closing track Vanstone, unfolding with a swinging bass and distorted stabs. Part of the industry from more than a decade, Jey Kurmis has previously released on labels such as; Moon Harbour, Leftroom and Kaluki. LOKIER & THE MACHINE - LOKIER & THE MACHINE
SPTS01
SPIRITS RECORDS
12inch29.05.201829.MAY.18

HouseTechTechnoElectroTechno

Danny McLewin (Psychemagik) and Jamie Cruisey have a new label of original signed artists called SPIRITS. The first release is from Mexican hotness 'Lokier' of She Made Monster and 'Jason Greer' aka 'The Machine', one of the Californian undergrounds best kept secrets. They met in 2015 at a festival in London and after spending a few days together, became musically obsessed with each other. That summer, as Jason bounced around Europe, he stayed with Lokier in Barcelona for some weeks and after long night walks, some tapas and absinthe bars they came up with their first EP together.

A1 "White Room's" slo-mo headnod film score, kick starts the EP, brooding synths buzzing with electric cocaine gloss, their oscillators fluttering like cyborg butterflies around the pulsating strobelight beat. Creepy.
A2 "Stained Glass" hits tough straight out the gate with subterranean bubbling acid bass and charges headlong into deep psychedelic territory with a goth-inspired guitar, reverb on 11, turning the track into a next-level robo-Giallo monster!

B1 "Pearly Hate" begins as if a menacing swarm of bionic rave bees is slowly surrounding you, the tension of their impending drone amping up steadily as your brain thinks: Do I run This midtempo Carpenter-esque jam is atmospheric putty in the hands of sleazoned DJ's and sounds like the beginning of a long, strange trip.
B2 "Red Floor" is a chugging, barely restrained dark disco beast, flagrantly wearing its Weatherall and Neu Beat-ing heart on its tattered sleeve, elliptical melodies keeping you from your sanity with a solid drop for the dancefloor - another one for DJ's who ride it rough.

Thus completes the first release for new label SPIRITS. Four tracks exploring another corner of otherworldly analogue hedonism for extra-dimensional travel. Keep your ear on "Red Floor", as its potential for dancefloor uplift is proven and Machine-ready! Stay jacked in for more missives soon...

Ivan Smagghe:
"When your best Mexican chola low-rider meets our favourite Californian mechanic, you get a proper slice of (Lokier and) Machine funk. This is grease electronics, black leather under the very dark sun of 'Pearly Hate' or in the bright isolation tank of 'White Room''

repressed !

New year, new sounds, new label: Noha and Alex Tea give 2017 the ignition it needs with an exciting brand new vinyl only label: PanickPanick!
Four tracks of pure sonic abandon, everything about theirpartnership sparkles with authenticity and soul. Created during an extended jamming session, each cut has a unique life and sound of its own but they all share a rich sense of unhurried momentum.

Mystical and dreamy motifs play key themes throughout as each track provides of space and pace for the main elements to explore and make themselves known before entwining into something much stronger than the sum of their parts. With subtlety, each piece reveals its own character... The arid sandy spiritual psychedelic twangs promise trips to faraway lands on 'Panick' and the relentless dubby reflections and synth ripples cause introspective meltdown on the heads-down chug-it-out 'Hold'.

Deeper into panic mode we spiral as the shimmering lightness and delicacy of the arpeggio suddenly evolve into the celestialbreakdown on 'Spice Jam' and the gradual build of percussivelayers on The Bamboo Dance guarantee dancefloor hypnosis.
Carved in the most hands-on machine spirit, all four tracks tell an exciting new tale for the new year. The only people panicking here are those who sleep on these. Stay tuned for more alarming sounds.

THIRD SON - SYNCOPE
SODAI007
SODAI
12inch29.05.201829.MAY.18

HouseTechTechnoTechno

Lithuanian based label Sodai started its journey in 2016, making it a label still in it's infancy but making a big impression. Owned by artist Gardens Of God, who started the label to create his own 'no limits' platform for his experimental sounds and projects. While at the same time a platform to give other artists the chance to also have freedom with art and music.

With releases from Raxon, Few Nolder and Alex Krell under their belt, they can announce the exciting debut from UK producer Third Son this April. 'I've been an admirer of Gardens Of Gods' music for a long time, when he asked me if I could do something for his imprint, I was more than thrilled!' adds Joseph.

'Syncope's' synths spread far and wide, making this a journey of a track, modulating and panning in and out, pushing and pulling along a percussive drive. His broad musical range can be felt in this mix, with its slightly hypnotic tones.

'Irony' has a punctuated low end, which creates a deep and dark groove. The synthetic elements in this track gain in attitude, on top of ambient pads, leading nicely into 'Bach' to close out the release. It's driving and determined bass makes the backbone of the track, with a modulating hook line, along building and expanding frequency ranges.

The whole package makes for a very strong first release from Third Son, and Sodai are excited to be welcoming him to the family.

HouseDeepElectronicaTech

How did the myth surrounding the proverbial 'difficult second album' come about And who first started the rumour that you have a lifetime to finish the first album, but two years at most for the second It's likely that all these platitudes simply got churned out of the cliché machine at some stage, but the fact remains: They are out there and they sometimes make life tough for musicians.
But not for Till von Sein. He simply approached the dictatorship of the schedule with a shoulder shrug; stress rolled off him like water off a duck's back, and he released his second album a good three years after his début work #LTD.
But isn't Tilly the guy whose tour schedules barely leave any corner of the earth untouched That's right. In reality, those three years were compressed into a time frame during which other artists on the scene manage to put out a few EPs and remixes at most. More importantly, von Sein's Precious is not merely a follow-up, it's not just material for the next few years' worth of tours: von Sein has re-calibrated himself, re-assessed his approach to creating an album cycle. He summed up his approach to recording this release with unambiguous brevity: "I wanted the album to get to the point."
While its predecessor could be described as performing a loyal service to the functional aspects of House, the tracks on this album dance to the ever-changing tune of their author. Precious effortlessly does its name justice, forming a collection of interpretations of all the musical treasures that have left the deepest impression on von Sein as an artist. The album shifts between House, R'n'B and soul-inflected pop, stylishly connecting the most remote bpms and succeeding, where many others have failed, in combining dancefloor compatibility with a touch of songwriter inspiration and even airplayability.

Andre Crom Feat. Ségou - Behind The Glass

Off Recordings
excl06.06.201606.JUN.16

HouseTechTechnoMinimal

Andre Crom teams up with mysterious vocalist Ségou to present an EP connecting Electronica and Tech House.

The pack starts with Andre's club mix, an intense arp-driven dancefloor burner, using heavily effected parts of the vocal to create a tripped out frenzy on the dancefloor.

Johannes Brecht, one of 2015's breakthrough artists thanks to his releases on labels like Poker Flat or Diynamic, delivers a pristine remix in his very own jazz-house-electronica sound.

The pack is completed by Andre's "Acoustronic" version, a melodic and melancholic song, fusing electronic and live instrumentation with Ségou's haunting vocals.

Frank Wiedemann from Âme and Howling fame is on remix duties for the first single from Petar's fourth Music Man album 'At The Turn Of Equilibrium'. Summer 2016, this is your soundtrack. On June 17th 2016 Croatia's esteemed DJ/producer Petar Dundov is set to release his brand new single entitled 'The Lattice', featuring a stunning remix from Frank Wiedemann (†me and The Howling), via Belgium's Music Man Records.'The Lattice' is the first single taken from Dundov's recently acclaimed fifth album 'At The Turn of Equilibrium' and delivers an enchanting 10-minute hypnotic journey full of captivating intertwined melodies accompanied by smooth slow-burning beats. "The idea for 'The Lattice' came into existence when I played a simple downward chord progression while experimenting with different rising and falling melodic patterns. This phenomenon - where harmony is reinforcing melody and vice versa - gave me the idea for the song title," says Dundov. Alongside the pioneering Croatian's original, Germany's †me and Howling famed DJ/producer Frank Wiedemann steps up to take care of remix duties, adding his own unique style to deliver a fascinating club-ready framework that complements the original's lush melodies brilliantly.

The People In Fog - Last Song Ep
SOV011
SOUND OF VAST
12inch14.07.201714.JUL.17

HouseDeepTech

As smooth sky blue colour cat can represent, this EP has a smoother beat than its usual style. If you remember its previous EP with a darker colour, now the punching kick and identical house bass are gone and this EP is true showing off the producer's ability as a musician who can adapt to any kind of diversity. The first track "Last Song" has deep bass and atmospheric sounds, like a typical Romanian loop, but after the long trippy beat when the piano sounds kick in, the atmosphere changes and brings back the emotion. The second track 'Get Funky' is also truly hybrid version of house, while the combination of funky vocals and the endless hi-hat and shaker keep the groove tight and the deep down pad sounds mixed smoothly with the forest of beat make for a truly a unique character.
The last track 'Alright' is a very joyful one, even though it uses a typical funky house vocal sample. Its unique way of playing percussion and vocal keep the groove totally "all-right".

HouseDeepTech

The 3rd edition of the Dance 2017 series is a double A side featuring a track from the highly regarded Palms Trax and also the debut production from Secretsundaze aka Giles Smith & James Priestley. It's hard to believe Palms Trax has only been about since 2013. In just 4 years he has carved out a formidable reputation as a both a producer and as a DJ. Having released just 2 EPs a piece across the Lobster Theremin and Dekmantel it's quite a coup that he has contributed a track to the Dance 2017 series.'Outflight' perfectly rides the line of cheeky trance euphoria with house sensibilities, aimed straight at the modern dance floor, clearly demonstrating one of the scene's most respected producers at the peak of his game.
On the AA Secretsundaze step up with their very first production as a duo. Both Giles and James have a catalogue of production work already, Giles as Two Armadillos with the sadly departed Martin Dawson and James alongside partners Marco Antonio Spaventi and Dan Berkson.
'Motorway Jam' is a peak time, Detroit inspired burner with a rough analogue bassline and atmospheric detail on the top end. Keep your eyes peeled for more music from the London pair coming soon. As the name suggests, Dance 2017 is here for one purpose and these tracks are guaranteed to make you move!
