Renowned house veterans D'julz and Jordan Fields drop two tracks each for a split release on Radio Slave's Rekids this December. One of the key components in Parisian electronic music, the A side sees a display of groove led cuts signature to D'julz as 'Shy Town' combines sultry bass tones with mesmerizing atmospherics and tranquil piano chords, making way for the crunchy drums and trippy synths of 'In Your Soul'.
Meanwhile, from across the pond in Chicago, Jordan Fields' raw productions begin with syncopated percussion and fuzzy notes until 'Mformation' concludes the package with thudding kicks and ethereal melodies.
Both artists have been commanding forces in electronic music for 25 years each making this split release very special indeed.
For the 4th release of the Viennese vinyl-only imprint, the Pomelo-Mastermind Dan Lodig provides a mysterious 4-tracker and shows again his versatility which perfectly fits to the whole concept of Yoshi.

"Sgol Recordings are beyond excited to welcome Danvers into our fold, with his debut release Omiyage.
Omiyage translates as 'gift' or 'souvenir' in Japanese, which is exactly how this EP came to life. Danvers was gifted all the hardware that was used to create the six tracks on this record, six tracks that have been packaged and gifted to us.
The EP takes the listener on a trip inside a musical mind that has the ability to take memories and weave them into a rich, sonic tapestry. It perfectly showcases Danvers' effortless skills in sensitive production and sampling, layering shimmering synths with glistening high-hats and building them into swirling dance-floor rhythms. Each track forms a part of a figurative journey taking the wide-eyed listener on a symphonious tour leaving them with an overwhelming feeling of wonderment, whilst lulling them into wistful respite.

The second release from Deardrums on 2MR features three standout originals from Bottin and Leo di Angilla and is made with a serious array of hardware gear. The bril- liantly bespoke 'Dum Dum' is fully of trippy jungle heat, with a tough drum riff and cooing vocals all mixed together with wooden percussive hits and frazzled synth lines. It is stuffed with neo-tribal sounds from deep within nature and makes for a terrific opening.
'Mami Wata' makes use of acoustic percussion to create
a lovably idiosyncratic, poly-rhythmic drum track straight from some ancient tribe. Layered up and increasingly pres- surised, the loose drums make for physical listening and recall the work of Shackleton, amongst others, whilst thick bass really adds to the sense of presence. This track ap- pears exclusively on this EP and won't be available on the forthcoming album or anywhere else.
The last cut 'Into Darkness' is a whacked out, machine made and mechanical rhythm that lays its bare bones out for all to see. Incessant hits, micro-funky keys and paddy kicks all add up to one of the freshest and most original basement tracks you will hear this year.

Ocha Records latest vinyl release introduces two gems from DJ Kemit's (also known as ½ of Kemetic Just) full length release "Everlasting". The former DJ and producer for the Grammy Award winning group Arrested Development brought his soul sensibilities to this project and caught the attention of Carlos Mena who enlisted the help of some real dance music heavyweights to rework two of the tunes.
On "Fortune Teller" Eric Roberson lays down a powerful vocal that has been taken to another level by the one and only DJ Spinna with one of his future funky Galactic Soul Remixes. And if that is not enough, Osunlade's hypnotic vocal performance on "Transform" gets the Quentin Harris Re-Production treatment and we are given a peak time treat.
DJ Support :
Tedd Patterson, Atjazz, Osunlade, Danny Krivit, Marques Wyatt, Ian Friday, Jojo Flores and many more.

DUANE: the former Teenage Weirdo, the current Brand New Dog, presents a three-track single full of funky electro-pop from the musical motor city of Detroit. Lo-fi freedom, Casio keys + Casio key drums: the digital sound is here no more. DUANE's sound merges with the slick production skills of Brett Cimbalik on the Rollhaven Refunk' remix of DUANE's classic Brand New Dog, Same Old Tricks."

u don't come to find yourself at the helm of one of the most successful underground house and techno imprints without a keen eye for fresh talent, that which has the potential to be nurtured, moulded and pushed to the next level. Anja Schneider has worked hard to hone that skill over the years, fine-tuning her instinctive, risk-taking persona; as a result, she just knows when someone is worth investing in. With that said, she new has her new protégé Kevin Over locked firmly in her sights - and with good reason. But even so, for Over to find himself behind the wheel of one of mobilee's annual long-form releases, despite him barely being over a quarter of a century old (not to mention having only met its founder in person less than a year ago), is quite something. But then again, Anja Schneider isn't your usual A&R, and Kevin Over isn't your usual 'talent' - as if his recent stellar run of EPs on Truesoul, Nofitstate, Avotre and of course mobilee in the last year alone, didn't tell you already. Part compilation, and part album, Over was keen to emphasize how this was his first musically extensive project which followed a defined musical structure, and was consistent in its vibe and mood from beginning to end; 'I felt like I needed more of a defined direction at this point in my career, as many of my EPs had traversed a wide variety of styles. The whole process took around three months, drawing from my early influences in garage and Chicago house as well as older funk stuff. I definitely got lost down the Youtube rabbit hole whilst looking for things to sample! I'm also so proud of having some of my favorite artists such as Marquis Hawkes, Jacob Korn and Soulphiction on board for remixes as well.As a result, the package displays a remarkably well-rounded cohesion, despite many of the tracks being wildly disparate in a musical sense. They all contain that trademark Over sound that's hard to put your finger on, be it the piston-driven, jacking drums, the use of dirt and distortion as a textural tool, or the understated yet catchy melodies. The gloriously gravelly deep house of 'Vember' contrasts beautifully against the woozy, euphoria of 'Look At Me Sartre'. There's everything from disco-inflected bangers ('Pfeffi Care') to bittersweet, nostalgic house making an appearance ('Hillside Av.'), rounding off with his haunting take on Rodriguez Jr.'s 2012 anthem 'Satellite' As is tradition with the 'Back To Back' series, the full package will also be accompanied by a 'best of' mobilee tracks from the previous year, with tracks from Audiofly, Ray Opkara, Rodriguez Jr. amongst many others, and of course Anja Schneider herself. Kevin's series of original tracks and remixes will be available to buy as a 2 x 12' gatefold package. A tour is also scheduled to follow.

Though quality techno is regularly associated with the colder climates of Berlin and Detroit, the recent developments happening on the Iberian Peninsula have been hard to ignore. One of the region's more interesting and consistent producers in this decade has been Maceo Plex, owner of the Ellum Audio label. Armed with an encyclopedic knowledge of signature club sounds, and with an ability to investigate 'darker' side of modern life (a tendency that can be heard especially well on past Plex-produced tracks like 'Conjure Balearia'), Plex has located the 'Goldilocks zone' between funk liberation and mechanical control. Mastering this balancing act is a skill that separates the best producers from the legions of also-rans: it shines through in his back catalog and is back in full force for his new 'Tesseract' EP on Ellum.
The A-side of the new single is an intriguing blend of urban soundscape and slow-burning, post-industrial drama. The sounds of downtown pedestrian chatter and street musicians (playing horns and steel drums, respectively) build up a feeling of heightened curiosity that makes the incoming rush of rhythmic sound all the more effective. Held in place by a creeping arpeggiated bassline and accented throughout with sonic reflections and subtle shifts in resonance, 'Tesseract' has all the suspense of a Cold War spy thriller and a sense of spine-tingling urgency that animates all the classics of electronic body music. This effect is completed by well-placed swells of lead synth, and by devious 'plot twists' like an unexpected sputtering breakdown occuring right after the track's tense groove has fully taken over the listener's headspace.
On the B-side ('5th Dimensional Groove'), Maceo and the UK duo Swayzak join forces and turn in an attention-grabbing track that deviates just slightly from the energy exhibited on the flipside. While preserving that urgent feeling of racing against time, this power trio strips things back to basics a little more, but without sacrificing innovation or unpredictability in the process. On '5th Dimensional Groove' a trembling lead synth figure snakes in between a pulse-quickening mix of low-end sequences and minimal but forceful pneumatic percussion, and the combined creative energies of Swayzak and Plex also direct themselves towards unexpected breakdowns / meltdowns (in this case, a splash of cold water combined with a reversal of the lead synth sounds).

On the first release for Mannella on his own imprint, the ice is broken by generous strings and subdued synths. Revisiting 'Space Candyman' with his distinctive stamp, Marieu blows up every emotion in a swirl of high spirited Techno. The B side displays all the intensity of this release, starting by the pure beat of the original mix.
Lucretio's Remix is a mighty vision of 'Letters from Mars' with a dogged bustle of reverberated drums and filtered chords.
Consider a tree for a moment: we just see and enjoy its beauty, but it must develop its roots under the ground to bloom all its beauty and grows up strong. In much the same way, JT SERIES sinks his particular sound in a ground covered music grove.
So, the fruits of our tree, are a collection of sounds thought out of the box. Mannella, that runs this Berlin based label, never stop explores the vast world ingrained in his machines. A sensorial Techno contaminated by the most varied influences.

The boys from Nummer are back on their own Nummer Music imprint with a fresh new EP! Following a busy start of the year with 'To The D' and their first Nitejams 12", the duo offer three 808-heavy cuts and continue to blur the line between techno and their influences. From the acid-infused 'Street War Success' to the more electro 'Golden Age' and gloomy 'Downtown Breukelen', this is another vital release from the two Londoners!

Patrick Richard is back on ROMB with a killer EP. Parallax starts off with a deep, discoish house banger, built around a firm kick, filtered stabs, arpeggios and lush pads, guaranteed to get the dance floor boiling. Gravity meanwhile is a deep and gritty head nodding gem, where the heavy bass and dubby atmosphere creates a relaxed chunk of deep house. The B-side starts off in darker territories with an aggressive stab to be recognized, a driving bass and pulsating pads that create a dusky, Blade Runner tinted atmosphere. Lunar Wave ends the EP with a magical space odyssey, blending sparkling melodies, bleeps and pads with a melodic bassline, resulting in a shimmering and euphoric piece of timeless music. Offering four, distinctively Patrick Richard sounding tracks, this is a versatile EP not to be missed.

Bang! Patrick Richard delivers a new EP with four bass-heavy house and techno hybrids. The A-side starts off with a wild, bass driven anarchic journey, followed by a pulsating jacking house inspired track, climaxing in a hypnotic groove. The deeper B-side begins in a dark and bass heavy territory, where a hunting analogue lead adds character. The final track is a collage of spaced out and seductive melancholic instrumentation for early morning sets. Intricate arrangements, cinematic sonic landscapes and attention to detail makes this super limited EP a must have for anyone interested in electronic music pushing boundaries.

Locklead is one of Utrecht's best kept secrets with his signature MPC beats and a deep stompin' flavor. He's been catching serious attention lately with his releases on SlapFunk, Hot Haus, Unknown To The Unknown and Soulfood.
The A side "Madniz" combines this year's Utrecht sound with Locklead's signature raw warmth. Dancing sub-bass and radiating percussion! "Roa Tek" is a bomb, ready to explode under your command. Combining shuffling grooves, alien noises and an earthquake sub. Handle with care.

Ahead of the release of his highly anticipated Body Language mix for the famed Get Physical series, top drawer producer and selector Tim Green offers up two exclusive tracks from it - one original, and one remix. Over the last decade Green has put his midas touch to a stream of scintillating and powerful club tracks, releasing through labels such as Cocoon, My Favorite Robot, Dirtybird and Get Physical. As a remixer he has been in constant demand, lending his musicianship and production magic to the likes of Friendly Fires, Cassius, Seth Troxler & Kidnap Kid. Away from the studio and out on the road Green has proved himself to be a unique DJ talent whose broad reaching selections draw from the full gamut of electronic music and have wowed crowds from Fabric (London) to Space (Ibiza), Womb (Tokyo) to Watergate (Berlin). He has always offered up a genuinely varied and compelling sound that is truly devastating on the floor and these two tracks both prove that once again. Up first is Green's own fantastic original, 'Only Time Remains.' It finds the artist is melodic mood, with his seductive, rolling beats all overlaid with churchy chords and grand atmospheres that really are epic and absorbing. The bass, too, is big and bold and angelic vocals lend a hypnotic feel to the irresistible groove. The remix of Junge Junge's 'Beautiful Girl' featuring Kyle Pearce shows Green adding his own unique flavours to the track. The result is a tantalising nine minute affair that slowly unfolds and sucks you deep into Green's spacious and grand world of smeared pads, tender melodies and subtly rising vocals that are emotive, dreamy and spaced out. This is a great showcase of Green's skills and a fine taster of the full compilation that is to come.

Baile Musik proudly presents 5th edition of it´s vinyl series that will be in stores in summer 2015. For 5th edition we have chosen Various Artists line up formation to show all the potential and musical width of our artists.
Lunar Station is nothing but simple thematic and the name of this edition. The journey begins with Marko Nastic, globally recognised by many as one of the top South Eastern Europe artists and performers. In his more than 20 years long career, Marko has done more than 200 releases including remixes and co-productions. He is most famous for his high end 3 decks sets which gave him opportunity to tour globe many times and to be resident of Exit festival. His opening track is called Mechanism Delight and presents typical analogue mechanical and dirty minimal techno sound.
A2 place is fitted by Luca Doobie, one of the most prominent names of Italian tech house scene. Musician since the age of 10, he's now one of the most important artists in Milan's underground dance scene. His track Cold Shade expands this release from analogue minimal techno sound to solid and groovy tech house sound.
B side brings our everlasting label member Glico and Adrianho. Both of the artists are presenting kind of a minimal techno sound but on two totally different levels. While Glico is focused on a wet minimal sound combined with house elements and strong percussions. Adrianho´s is pointing us in a direction of atmosphere, dark sensational and repetitive elements are dominating through B2.
Altogether, Lunar Station has never been closer, it sounds and it looks tempting.
