The Drumcode A-Sides compilation is quickly becoming synonymous within the techno world as a go to compilation for the hottest tracks that are deservedly A-side material in their own right. Each specific track has it own unique character that brings an outstanding and electrifying aspect to the compilation that as a whole makes it something extremely special. Mixing both highly experienced and new artists has helped to bring a new dimension to the compilation that makes it such a special array of tracks.

OktoRed, hailing from Detroit MI, has been gaining some real momentum of late. As one of Beatportal's 'Artists To Watch 2012', and coming off his first YoSucka! imprint, 'The Future Sounds of 8 Mile' he wants to showcase his ability to transcend from his kind, gentle side, to a more rough, dark side. In birth, he is a Gemini. Two sides, hardly describes his abilities as a producer, but think of his "sign" as a sign of things to come. From the beginning, OktoRed has tried to keep himself away from the pigeonholing nature of the electronic dance scene.

Dive released a vast amount of productions and remixes on high class labels such as Cocoon Recordings, Tsuba, Freebase, Deep Labs (Balance US), Raum Musik or Stir15. The Cocoon artist still runs his own label 'Deep Vibes' with great success. 'Deep Vibes' brought up some outstanding music by Sascha Dive and his - house-mates' like Brothers Vibe or Robert Dietz. Welcome Sascha Dive with his trippy dark tech house track Child of sorrow at the ARAS family. ARAS label head André Galluzzi has been a vinyl DJ for 25 years. With residencies at Tresor, Ostgut and Berghain and releases on labels like Ostgut, Cocoon, Cadenza, Plus8 ,Ovum, Music Man ,Ongaku, Taksi and Bar 25, André can look back at quite a history. 2017 has been another busy season for the artist who additionally presenting his Berlin based eventy series WE PLAY VINYL regulary. Bambo is a mysterious club tool with a breeze of darkness. This signature tune stands for open minded sound as Galluzzi always does.

After the Alma EP' by Shanti Celeste, secretsundaze' s 19th release comes from another UK home grown favourite Wbeeza.
Beeza is a firm part of the secretsundaze family and although it's his first release on the label, he has been a regular fixture at the parties now for 5 or 6 years playing at both the London events and touring internationally with Giles and James as a live act, as well touring extensively by himself.
We hope his music needs no introduction - his sound is quite simply fresh; an amalgamation of so many things from house, techno, jazz, hip hop to more UK leaning garage vibes. Born and bred in South London and the youngest of 6 brothers he has dance music pumping through his veins.
Black Moon EP is up there with the very best of his work and all 3 tracks show a level of maturity that comes from releasing over 14 EPs and close to 2 LPs (his second LP entitled Visions of Love drops next month on Third Ear)
Title track Black Moon is a murky, growling techno workout with syncopated lo fi beats, a thunderous bass line that is eq'd to within an inch of its life, and white noise FX. Within the right hands this should be a deadly weapon.
Like Butta is a hazy, percussive tool that keeps the tension high while B side track Ferguson is arguably the strongest track of the EP. Referencing the Ferguson case in Missouri that sparked vigorous debate about the relationship between the police and African Americans, the track is a timeless groove, coming on like a modern day version of Maurizio's 'M4' with its heads-down, hypnotic deep techno flow that one could simply listen to on repeat. Wbeeza on secretsundaze.....Need we say more!

The enchanting and notorious Satori unveils Imani's Dress, the first snippet of his forthcoming album due for release this Spring on the illustrious Crosstown Rebels, with Matthew Dear and Ewan Pearson providing hefty remixes.
Satori is no ordinary producer and live artist. Born to a Serbian father and South African mother, the man behind the instrument is a meditative music-lover on a deeply spiritual journey. Creating melodies on the piano, kora, kalimba, and guitar, his live shows are mind-altering.
Imani's Dress was the spark for the creation of Satori's debut album after Damian Lazarus heard it and requested to hear more from the visionary artist. Hungry and eager, Satori locked himself in a secluded studio and finished the album, and soon after it was signed to it's spiritual home, Crosstown Rebels.
DJ and production heavyweight Matthew Dear's remix is a skillful demon that illustrates why he is a pivotal artist in the electronic music arena. Ewan Pearson's remix is an ode to the guitar. Creating music for over two decades, here his warm riffs are infused with soothing synths and a meticulous groove.

A very Future Times sounding Future Times from Jeremy Hyman. Slighty odd, beautifully constructed and very friendly tracks that please us immensly. He first popped up on last years VIBE 3 compilation and this is a full extension of that appearence. Not much known on the man apart from he's part of Slasher Flicks with Animal Collective's Dave Portner.. TIP for the wise!

Number six emerged deepest Devon, UK! Jimmy Winkles, the most notorious chap on the south shore, has been troubling up with Midlight at BAR Rotterdam, Intergalactic FM, GCW Radio & now in the foreverness with his well tripped out tribal house of tomorrow. Mark du Mosch did the fix on the flip. This mighty West Coast cat has been a fav of the Midlight brothers since they moved to the Harbor city of Rotterdam. Finally we welcome him to the imprint. Infinit phun!

MOTHER RECORDINGS is back with more contemporary House heat, this time from the ever reliable NHAN SOLO. He is a hugely prolific producer who covers all aspects of House and Tech and has released on labels like OFF, 2DIY4, NERVOUS but most of all his own fast-rising imprint, MOTHER RECORDINGS

KEEP IT MOVIN is up first and is six minutes of floor rocking, booty shaking House with rapped and clipped vocals cutting up the percussion lead groove. It is tense and builds to a big peak, with a fantastic bassline carrying the whole thing along.

JACK IS BACK then pairs things back to a more subdued house beat with writhing synths bringing the energy. It is heavy, groovy and deep but also has a big physical impact.



MOTHER062
DAVID KENO is back with another fine new EP on MOTHER RECORDINGS following on from the number 1 success of his - Moonshine' tune here back in 2016. This label is one of his regular homes alongside the likes of Snatch! and Dirtybird and again finds him serving up real heat across both cuts.

Up first is MOJO, nearly six minutes of fresh and modern sounding house music with slick drums driving along down low. Vocal snippets add real fire up top and some lively chord stabs bring an essential element of colour to proceedings.

ANANAS is less direct and physical and is instead more playful and heart warming. It has catch and emotional vocal yelps, colourful aural fireworks and hip swinging clasp that really make you move, all underpinned with some great drums. These are two more dance floor bombs sure to detonate any party.

The Ÿ is the underground vinyl only record label based by Stan Preston. The label starts its first release 'DARIJA' featuring an amazing artist mr. Sakamaka. The sound of this label relates to avant-garde attitude, enormous deepness and after-hours relevancy.

Moon Harbour always looks forward and to that end, they waste no time in pushing on past the landmark 100th release with a new offering from contemporary champion Sidney Charles.

Hamburg's Charles has become known for a rock-solid, no-frills style of chunky house and tech that has seen him become a firm favorite with both DJs and dancers. He is one of the most charted artists on RA thanks to his always essential EPs on labels like Truesoul, Hot Creations, and Avotre, the latter of whom he A&Rs for. Of course, he also appeared on this label last year on the Inhouse compilation, and now gets a full EP to really show off his skills.

First up, the tender 'Make Me Moove' features Lady Vale. It's an exquisite eight-minute bubbler with elastic drums and wonky synths down low in the mix. The steamy vocals from Vale then kick start percolating baselines and the whole thing really pulls you in.

'Soultrade' is a bigger track, with spangled bass and big diva wails all getting you up on your toes as sweeping filters do to the drama. It's one to get the crowd amped up and ready for more and is hugely effective.

Last of all, 'Der Haus' shows another side to Charles and takes inspiration from classic new York house, It has bulky drums, icy hi-hats and woozy neon chords bringing some late night vibes to the floor. It's playful, fun and perfectly functional, and rounds out another fresh EP.

New addition to the vinyl-only catalog, Zender's Atoll is a collection of three innovative cuts from rising talent Jordan Magee, Boogizm main man S-Max and label head Tom Joyce, with an extra remix by italian veteran producer Alex Picone. Ranging from electro, breaks and spacey deep house, this well-balanced compilation is a great following of The New Iram, released last year on Sounds Benefit.

Red Rack'ems cult radio show inspired Smugglers Inn series returns and this time it's under the Bergerac label umbrella.
Volume 3 brings more secret weapons to the table and features an all star cast of space funkateers. The first side is devoted strictly to the UK Midlands and starts with the urgent Mental By Rights by Nottingham outsider Cyclonix which shows the often introspective producers dark and urban side. Staggered and cut up rhythms collide in a future techno cut which piqued the interest of dubstep pioneer Pinch, who cut a dubplate of it to feature in his sets. Super underground Leicester artist Jimi Oh has a stockpile of hot unreleased music so I am very glad to get Red Cow finally onto vinyl many years after it's inception.
Funky, melodic, thoughtful and supremely danceable, it's a glorious journey through the mind of a true auteur.
Open House a stunning big room positive banger from Nubian Mindz, rolling drums and uplifting synths combine with a little injection of hardcore in there too. Definitely the most Big room' track on the EP but still with enough soul to warm the sourest of hearts. Tommy Rawson follows up his recent releases on Local Talk and In Beat-ween with Piano Pleasure a beautifully sculpted late night soulful tropical house workout.
The title says it's all as it's a purely pleasurable experience with shades of vintage Osunlade in there for the eagle eared listener.

Saint & Don't limited begins it's brand new vinyl only releases with Romanian duo Dubsons and "Eclipsing EP"

"Small Magellanic Cloud" takes us on a melodic trip with a heavy techno base, "Eclipsing" is a moody track with an amazing vibe that captivated the likes of Arpiar (RPR Soundsystem) who has been playing it for a while. On remix duties, Felipe Valenzuela (Melisma) alongside Giuliano Lomonte (Ultrastretch) give "Eclipsing" a more strong dancefloor-oriented touch.

Following Dusky's ubiquitous 'Cold Heart' EP 17 Steps presents Kiwi's 'Marmora's Theme' EP - the London producer's debut on the label.
Having recently released on tastemaker labels such as Futureboogie, Correspondent and Optimo Music, Kiwi's distinctive sound is a physical mix of Italo disco, techno and electro influences.
Carried by a pulsating Italo bassline, lead track 'Marmora's Theme' is a cosmic epic that rides crisp piano melodies and sci-fi synths - and is already garnering support from Gerd Janson, DJ Tennis and Annie Mac.
Transporting the original's piano euphoria into darker, rave referencing territory, the Tuff City Kids remix calls on growling reese bass and '92 hardcore style pianos.
Offering some alternative vibes are the deeper, dirgy warehouse grind of 'OTH' and the beautiful, reflective electronica of 'Reservoir'.

Next up on Crosstown Rebels is the hauntingly beautiful release 'Sabor' from the Tel-Aviv based duo Red Axes, with Brazilian-born Abrao on vocals, and featuring a brilliant Isolée remix to boot!

'Give your sounds some room and blades and it will float above the land'. Red Axes

Title track 'Sabor' is an emotive and intricate composition. Spoken in his foreign tongue, there is a soothing and enchanting element to the vocals of Abrao. The variety of instruments and effects could easily have resulted in something disjointed, but all elements flawlessly come together. The instrumental version is complemented by a remix from highly respected Isolée, enhancing its depth and delivering an astute and well-crafted rework that he is famed for.

Red Axes is made up of Dori Sadovnik and Niv Arzi. Starting off in the band Red Cotton they have spent time living in Amsterdam and touring the world, and are now once again based in Tel Aviv. They have released on Correspondant, Klasse Recordings, Hivern Discs and their debut album 'Ballad Of The Ice' was released in 2014 on I'm A Cliché. This year saw them start their very own label Garzen Records. Born in Sao Paulo, Abrao has been creating and producing music for thirty years and can now be found performing live with the Red Axes.



Isolée is German-born Rajko Müller and has been creating music for over twenty years. He has released on labels including: Playhouse, Freundinnen, Diynamic Music and most recently Pampa Records. Resident Advisor ranked his 2005 album 'We Are Monster' #53 in their Top 100 Albums of the '00s.

The much talked about Love Fever label is back with a hot new EP, this time from Absolute with remixes from Willian Djoko. It follows big records from the likes of Citizen, John Daley and Bicep and is another essential outing from this top label.
Absolute kicks things off with 'Mind Control', a moody house cut with spangled basslines gurgling about above slick rubber drums. Some mind melting melodies ripple over the face of the track and freaky vocals add lots of late night weirdness that help this one stand right out. A 'mixed stems' version of the same tune is a little roe sparse and eerie, with a big breakdown sucking you deep into the midst of this fresh groove.
The excellent 'Acid' is next and for two minutes teases with no drums and just writhing synth lines, then the drums drop and they are big powerful things that come with rasping stabs and huge hi hats. It's festival sized house music with some futuristic and trancey chords and is a truly original jam.
Man of the moment and Amsterdam producer William Djoko—fresh off some big tunes on labels like Seth Troxler's Tuskagee as well as Voyage Direct—he swerves up two remixes. The first is a deep, seductive number with weird vocals and sonar like blips that really gets into your brain, and the other digital only bonus is an epic nine minute work out that really keeps you on your toes with its urgent techno drums and nervy melodies.
This is an exciting and standout new EP from all concerned.

Dalmata Daniel continue with their inspired pairing of sonics and personalities on their seventh release (1st part of their split series) to date courtesy of Dutch producer Betonkust and Budapest-based hardware techno fiend Új Bála.As much as both differ in their geographical roots - Holland and Hungary, respectively, at first glance (or listen), their sound also ventures into different sonic territories.1080p and Pinkman-affiliate Betonkust delivers vintage-tinged electronics - most prominently on his 'Ferenc's Escape' - while Új Bála digs deeper into the basement and unravels his analogue acid and badass beats. His 'The Piggy-Bank Deal' even touches upon oriental flavours. On the other hand, the music on this EP is buoyant and joyful, a welcome antidote to the gloom and doom that's not only been prevalent in the world around us, but also in too much music of the last few years.(Palmovka)

Brodanse´s 'Danse Club Records' returns with another 90`s New Jersey gem reworked for 2013 with remix duties this time going to Just Be, Lula Circus & Chubby Dubz ... Danse Club Records, the label started by DJ/production sibling duo Brodanse has made a sterling start so far with releases of classic 90`s US house cuts remixed by the likes of Matt Tolfrey, Oliver $, Moodymanc & Brodanse themselves.

The reaction has been outstanding at a time where there is an obvious embracing of all things nineties and DJs such as Danny Tenaglia, Maxxi Soundsytem, Seth Troxler, Huxley & Dusky have been queuing up to lend their backing. For their latest release Danse Club look once again to New Jerseys historic shores, this time picking up an old record from US soul house duo The Burrell Brothers and drafting in three hot production acts to rework this much loved tune.
To start the package we have the original "club dub" version, giving an insight into the records history with it`s mid nineties feel and production still standing up wonderfully.

The first of the remixes sees Crosstown Rebels and Get Physical artist Just Be AKA Matthew Bushwaka deliver his"Insomniac mix",
a bumping slice of underground house music that marries a bass driven groove, organic percussion and subtle melodic elements with snippets of the vocal to supreme effect.

Next up we have Italian production duo Lula Circus whose releases for the likes of Culprit and Noir have been creating quite a stir. Here they deliver a brilliant rework of "Non Stop" in the shape of a deep old school house workout that makes the most of the soulful vocals with its simplistic, hypnotic backing. With its timeless quality, this mix is certain to be mainstay in DJ boxes for months and years to come.

The penultimate version sees the excellent Chubby Dubz offer up an outstanding mix that cuts and pastes the original parts in a raw house style. Closing the package there is a bonus dub of Just Be`s Insomniac mix that rounds things off nicely. This is another winning package from the Danse-Club label and with original artist material from Brodanse in the pipeline alongside further remix packages there is much to look forward to.

Mid October will see Lyon based imprint Art Feast Records release Rocco's 'L.Gee's Stories' EP, featuring four original cuts from the French producer.

Rocco has been DJing and releasing his breed o soul infused house over the past two decades, initially cutting his teeth alongside the likes of DJ Deep and Laurent Garnier in the early French scene before being picked up by Ben Watt for Buzzin' Fly, subsequently being remixed by A^me for the label and releasing further material on Freerange, Real Tone and many other household names in the underground scene. Here we see Rocco joining the roster of Art Feast Records, home to music from the likes of Anaxander, Ortella, and Terrence Parker.

Up first on the record is the 'Main Mix' of title track 'L.Gee's Stories' setting the tone with spoken word vocals, classic house rhythms and airy synth work before the 'Piano Mix' delves into rave territories, focusing on swinging drums, heady piano melodies and acid tinged bass.

'It's Like That' kicks off the latter on the B side and tips the focus over to a darker aesthetic with murky low-pitched vocal flutters, dubby stab hits and choppy bass stabs before 'Ve´nus ou Mars' closes out the package with cut up disco samples, organic rhythms and pulsating subs.

Producer, DJ and visual artist, Dreams, has become a standout voice in the Los Angeles electronic landscape. The following he's amassed locally is due, in part, to his own imprint, Private Selection, who's focus so far has been split between releasing music and throwing events. An ethos that runs through both the his music and parties is indebted in part to house and techno, but also industrial, resulting in a mutated take on dance life forms that is becoming increasingly recognizable in his own records and DJ sets.

Dreams' first 12', 'Twisted Karma', came out in 2015 via Private Selection. Most recently, he released a record which saw light through Greek Imprint Nous Disques, and now, Apron Records.

Following on from the 2013 hit 'Sweat Feat. Cari Golden' (which topped the Beatport charts and was played on Radio 1 by Pete Tong) comes 'Part 2 in the collaboration series between Groove Armada and Brodanse. The two duos come together once again but this time they work alongside Kevin Knapp who many will know from his slick productions with Audiojack, Richie Ahmed and Matt Tolfrey. Originally intended as the 'alternate mix' the A1 is actually a remix by some of the original artists themselves: Tom Findlay (Groove Armada), Brodanse and Severino (Horse Meat Disco) in their new alter ego, 'Danse Club' named appropriately after the label. Simply put it is a dark looping groover making full use of the vocals with a killer breakdown, a hypnotic melody and some very addictive vocal hits! The B1 a.k.a. 'The Original Mix' again features the full vocals as written by Kevin Knapp and Austen and Scott Smart (Brodanse). This version however uses a bassline which according to Mr. G is 'just bad to the bone'; add that to very simple but effective lead sound, a dominant shaker and an arrangement made only with 'the main room' in mind and you have a track which in its own right could have easily been then A1. The B2 is called 'GA's Advancing Dub' and it really is that, a dub made for the darkest hours of the night. It makes use of a stripped back groove for the most complimented with sparse vocal stabs and some very unique perc sounds throughout. Written with one thing in mind (dance floor destruction) it makes use of a building chord which just keeps going - into the breakdown and out the other side - this version really is a sure fire thing to take any dance floor up a level (or two)!

'Danse Club Records' is a the UK-based house & techno label conceived by the brothers who form Brodanse.
Danse Club is dedicated to both releasing solid grooving, big, bad, upfront dance-floor records and re-releasing, remastering, and remixing big floor-filling house tracks from the 90's as part of their Gold Series. They had 5 releases scheduled for release under the Gold Series in 2012/2013 with limited re-runs of some truly incredible club tracks from the 90's; the tracks have been remastered, re worked, and remixed.

*The first remixers on this EP are Willie Graff & Tuccillo, they are emerging into the scene quickly and known well for their track 'Set Me Free' on Freerange with more releases on Liebe Detail and more recently Sascha Dive's label, Deepvibes. The duo serve up a solid driving tech house remix that is sure to move any dancefloor.
*The second remixer on this EP is Florian Kruse, one half of Kruse & Nuernberg who's debut album came out earlier this month.
Florian makes a very special deep melodic yet solid club style remix. The final remixer on this EP is out of Chicago, Max Jacobson.

Max has released on labels such as Fresh Meat, Akbal and Recovery Tech. He also delivers a deep, stripped back remix of the original which compliments and finishes off the release nicely.

After beginning as a Sydney club night in 2012, Pelvis is readying it's first release of original music on the new Pelvis Records imprint. Entitled Dance Freak Anthem, it's a 4 track 12' with an original from the crew at it's core. Reworks from label heads DJ Haus (Unknown to the Unknown, UK) and DJ Nozaki (10 Inches of pleasure, Japan) sit alongside the Pelvis original and another fresh take on the track from Australia's very own Mall Grab.
Other releases from Pelvis include a Dance Freak mixtape, split with NYC's Venus X (GHE20G0TH1K) and released on limited edition cassette.

Yotam Avni's debut on Innercisions thrills by sending out a synthesis of raw percussive sounds and soulful Moroccan vocals, proving once more his position in todays's house scene.

San Francisco-based Butane makes his debut on Jamie Jones' Hottrax with three hypnotizing productions this October.
Founder of Alphahouse and Little Helpers, Andrew Rasse aka Butane has been building a solid reputation as a respectable DJ, producer and label owner for over a decade now. When not releasing his low-slung dancefloor focused cuts on his own imprints the multifaceted American has made appearances on SCI+TEC, Crosstown Rebels and Moan. He now appears on Hottrax joining a roster spanning wAFF, Patrick Topping, Mat.Joe, Bunte Bummler, Raumakustik, DMS12 and Jamie himself.
A gentle thud initiates 'Addicted', making way for a throbbing synth that warps and distorts throughout the mix whilst a fuzzy bassline operates beneath it. 'Lock and Key' focuses on intricate percussion whilst dusky atmospherics and a medley of nuances are introduced throughout before 'Shark Attack' concludes the package with a rumbling low-end and compelling groove.

After entering the vinyl realm with the breezy techno of Portland's Wav Fuzz, Les Yeux Orange train their sights a little closer to home for the follow up, heading into the Parisian underground with a deep three tracker from n.stal. Raised on a diet of Basic Channel, Viewlexx and Crème Organization, this newcomer fuses hypnotic rhythm and dreamy melody to create a fresh sound for free spirits.Leaving the Metro at Laumière we skip through the moonlit streets to cool our heels by the Bassin De La Villette. As our feet touch the cool sands of 'La Plage', n.stal wraps us in the tender embrace of his swirling sonics, leading the dance with a solid kick and echoing toms.
