The second release from Cassy's new collaborative label 'Kwench Records' sees New York native Fred P turn in three stellar remixes of Cassy & Demuir's 'Please Me' from the labels inaugural release from November. The remit for each release on the label is for two (or more) collaborating artists to produce original material, whilst a different artist will deliver one remix. However, after hearing three fantastic interpretations from Fred P, Cassy was adamant that the tracks were so special, they had to have their own release. 'His remixes exceeded expectations, and it's incredible how direct and beautiful they all are.' - Cassy
Cassy has been an admirer of Fred P's work for many years. She loves the way his music is expressed and its immediate nature. 2017 has been a vintage year for Fred P, with his 'Instinctive Rhythms' EP and FP-Oner album '7', garnering critical acclaim from across the board. The 'Please Me Reshape Project' continues the New Yorker's fine vein of form across three mesmerising tracks.
Kwench Records is a project centred around Cassy's belief that dance music should be natural and a pure expression, a view shared by the artists she invites on board.
Both Cassy and Fred P are practitioners of the label's ethos, looking to create songs that resonate with the listener, as well as themselves.

The three remixes share Fred P's inimitable sound, with the 10 minutes of his 'Journey Mix' slowly embracing and developing into a cosmic voyage. The 'Fixation Mix' is an up-tempo cut, with ambient synth keys perched over brooding bass notes. The final track from the EP, 'Broken Vibes Mix', features Cassy's distinct vocals over carefully muffled claps and broken beat.

Legendary Nitsa Club from Barcelona comes back releasing new music fifteen years after their first venture with Nitsa Recordings. The new label is called Nitsa Traxx.
The essence is not to focus in a particular sound, but try to cover all the range of styles you can usually listen to in this acclaimed club.
Besides that, the main idea is pretty simple: the A side includes the original track and the B side comes with a remix.
First release comes from Valencian producer Daniel Kyo. After releases in Drumpoet and Bordello A Parigi, on this occasion Kyo dives into deep techno with a nostalgic hint to EBM. 'Nacht Drei' sounds like one of those tracks from the infamous Ruta del Bacalao, but with a very nowadays production. Sharp and hypnotic, but with a certain sense of epic humor. Valencia style.
On the flip, Marc Piñol remixes the original track and makes it sound blurry, obsessive, fast and mental. Inspired by his legendary warmups in Nitsa Club, expect nothing more and nothing less that a simple but not-so-simple mixing tool with a personal touch. One of those long tracks for DJs who just love to make lingering transitions to flip out the crowd.

This is the first release of Steady Work By Dear Friends. Based in Heidelberg (Germany) they catered the city and its music lovers with good music for the last ten years. Dog Patrol is a young Mannheim (Germany) based producer and a long term and very good friend to the Steady Work By Dear Friends crew. Dog Patrol delivered for this release warm and shaking house. He twisted but not dubbed over his raw and lo-fi sounding style to three crawling but thriving tunes, which easily fit and hit every dancefloor.

Having already gained a very early premiere on Maceo Plex's BBC Radio One Essential Mix, Mexican man Rebolledo's driving remix of DRITTO takes all the drama of the original track, draws it out as only the Pachanaga boy knows how.

Saetta - Prins Thomas Diskomiks
Norwegian dj extraordinaire and space disco heavy-weight Prins Thomas takes SAETTA on a whole new journey, building from the original track with warm funk tinged bass lines, complimented by driving synths which stream around latin folk guitar elements. This remix doesn't hold back whilst paying homage to Fango's well loved drum programming as it progresses deep into layer upon layer of sonic indulgence.

Retaining the foundation aspects of the original, Head honcho's at music label Magazine, Barnt and Jens, treat TEI with a cinematic flute driven start before mechanically kicking the percussive heavy remix underway. A length mid-track breakdown spurs on a haunting vocal loop over a back-drop of droning pulses before the track kicks back into what Barnt and Jens are best known for.

Berlin's own Marco Haas aka T.RAUMSCHMIERE made an irreparable impression globally in the 00's as a sawtoothed, ANTI-rave radical thanks to his immense stage antics and larger-than-life releases on Novamute. Since then, Haas has established himself as a contemporary with emotive, dark ambient tales on his own imprints Shitkatapult/Albumlabel.
KOMPAKT's love affair with Haas goes back to our earliest days. Some of his first tracks were released on KOMPAKT in the form of two raw EP's entitled "Bolzplatz" (KOM021 - 2000) and "Musick" (KOM037 2001). These two formative releases elevated the "Schaffel" sound to raw and shameless places we never could have imagined. The results set a tidal wave in motion that to this day remains one of KOMPAKT's most infamous legacies.
In an off-chance reunion with Haas in his studio, we learnt about what he'd been doing since the "Monstertruckdriver" days. It turned out he's been ever so busy outside of the mainstream working with the likes of Dieter Meier of Yello, Caspar Brötzmann, Andreas Dorau, Fraktus, Ofrin or Barbara Morgenstern and his recent work with Ulli Bomans aka Schieres under the SHRUBBN!! monicker.

On the way out, he passed over his 2015 self-titled album - which proceeded to blow our minds. It was mutually decided that it's time for him to return home.
May 19, 2017, will see KOMPAKT releasing T.RAUMSCHMIERE's new, epic solo full-length HEIMAT. It presents another side of his work which was always there, but never got that much airtime: the artist, the author, the composer with the crystal-clear sound. HEIMAT is a stunning techno album that neither excludes Ambient, nor gets reduced to constant ass kicking. It's perhaps the best recording so far from this man who asks so deeply, so extensively, so much. And at some point even answers.

Andrew Numb makes his debut on Modelhart with the Calling EP'. He drops 3 tracks with a remix by Reggie Dokes. The title track Calling' is a deep techno track inspired by 90s classical Detroit techno. Reggie Dokes drops the tempo and make a slower house tweek of the same title track. etb019 - Bastinov - Pentagon Bastinov (aka Diego Gennaro) is a Venice based young producer and DJ, following his last year release on Etruria Beat he is now presenting a more mature work, showing his artistic growth. This EP, the 19th of Etruria Beat Records and the 2nd release from Bastinov , is a path into techno and in its shades, starting from punching and rolling sounds and ending up with the addition of some melodic parts. Beyond the original mixes the EP is enriched with remixes from label boss Luca Agnelli, newcomer talents Toms:due and Proudly People. 'Pentagon' is composed by an alternated hypnotic synth's melody and a vibrant groove based which will bring you into your deepest mental journey. Luca Agnelli's remix of 'Pentagon' is a dub-techno explosive interpretation of the groove, spiced by a dark triplets synth and an amazing kick-dropping that will burn up the dance floors for sure! 'Theorem", was created with an amazing and pleasant chord, a devasting groove and big-punchin kick made by analogic drum machines (as the vintage Roland CR5000). The second remix on the vinyl comes from Toms:due that moved the track down to the 'Motor City's rules", adding a massive and dirty 909 groove and giving a special reinterpretaton of the original synth. A special digital bonus remix comes from Proudly People , composed by their unmistakable dark and deep techno sound, perfect for early morning djsets.

In the wake of Youandewan's Spiral Arms EP, Will Saul's AUS turn their attention from the established to the auspicious and present a brand new artist from the camp: Escape. Based in Glasgow, Escape is a fledgling talent whose cultivation amongst the ranks sees him now ready to drop the first of several EPs on AUS. His debut EP 'Just Escape' is a poignant brew of delicately treated vocals, swooning strings and gut-wrenching melodicism. Backed up by remixes from the mighty Justin Martin and Jacques Greene this is a package that astutely straddles the bridge between pop and underground dance music - a skill which AUS have honed throughout their lauded and extensive anthology. The title track drifts atop a glacial bed as softly shifting strings are punctuated by Escape's haunting croon before 'Without You' blooms behind sportive synth work and jutting vocals that are underpinned by a vibrant 4/4 groove. Dirtybird regular Justin Martin mines deep into 'Just Escape' and offers up a Remix and a Dub. Subtly permeated with some nifty sampling, his revision spotlights a vocal reprise that's impelled by a low-end that punches in signature fashion. LuckyMe mainstay Jacques Greene weighs in with a prodigious take on the title track that churns and swells throughout it's extended duration rounding up an enlivening insight into an artist that's primed to make some serious headway throughout 2015.

The excellent Field label embarks on a new mini trilogy of EPs that will "present a magical journey through modern-day trance." First up in the series is Artefakt with their three track effort The Final Theory. Dutch producers Robin Koek and Nick Lapien make up Artefakt, and between them they excel at moody voodoo music on labels like Delsin. They open this latest EP with the title track, a deep, spacious house roller with subtle pads and gentle acid that perform slow motion acrobatics for nearly ten minutes. It is suspensory, dreamy music that works on the head as well as the heel. Moving Horizon is then less doleful and introspective but just as deep, with sweeping pads add a sense of scale, busy drums bring the dynamism and icy percussive sounds adding a sense of urgency. Last but not least, Solaris is a fatter, more physical groove with claps and gloopy bass, acid flashes and trancey pads all fleshing out a lush and deep electro workout. This is heavenly stuff that cannot fail to get inside your head and heart.

B12 and Warp unearth the previously unknown missing piece to their soundtrack of space Electro-Soma.
Reaching even further out into the deepest recesses of the Artifical Intelligence universe, Electro-Soma II collects some of B12's most cherished tracks from the Electro-Soma period and arranges them into an album of archival material that sounds as otherworldly and compellingly timeless as when we first heard Electro-Soma back in 1993. Electro-Soma II perfectly bridges the gap between the groups earliest AI material through to 1996's Time Tourist, while providing a fascinating viewpoint into the music of one of the most elusive and incredible artists to ever grace Warp.

After their stunning debut on Musica Autonomica last summer, with Genesis and Jericho, Baal are back with a new 4 track Ep: NOAH. The six tunes show the wide musical range of Matthias Draexler and Matthias Schuell as well as their devotion to the dance floor. Anstascia D'Elene and Vivie-Ann Bakos aka BLOND:ISH are members of the notorious Kompakt and Get Physical families along with a slew of other labels, they have carved out a niche thanks to their dark, sensual club music, sultry DJ sets and outrageous, fun-loving attitude.
A slew of original productions, remixes (the last one for the Electronic music legends Depeche Mode) and gigs all over the world helped reinforce their undying love for music and demonstrated that, where words fail,BLOND:ISH's music speaks.
The duo had a great inspiration to produce an amazing EP for Rebirth. 'Wizard of love' is a real mood shifter, building and weaving layers and textures as it progresses, with Shawni's enchanting vocals, a steady beat and faint strings. The result is an epic, melodic, ever growing anthem...giving us shivers up our spine.
'El Sleazo' is a slice of deep, trippy and psychedelic music. A simple acid ravey melody which repeats endlessly through filters and effects, on a beat and bass that remind us of early Danny Tenaglia productions.
We will hear this a lot in the next few months.

Fritz Kalkbrenner, German Producer and Singer, releases his third Studio Album - Ways Over Water' on his Berlin Label SUOL. And it shows one more time, why Fritz is one of the most independent artists in Germany. These twelve Tracks including catchy singles such as - Back Home' and - Void' inspire with their high musical and production-related quality. Club tracks alternate

Following in the footsteps of his last two Second State EPs and the recent launch of his own label BLKDRP, Michael Klein returns to Second State with four brilliantly crafted and highly infectious warehouse weapons on 'This Moment'. Kicking things off with the title track 'This Moment', Klein wastes no time diving into the peak time antics he is best known for. By layering hauntingly catchy patterns of powerful drums, vocal hooks, and simple yet impressive sonic jabs, Klein succeeds in creating an unforgettable and enduring cut that is sure to stand the test of time. Next up is 'Repeat' and it closely resembles the approach of the previous track with an irrefutable groove of vocal fragments and wild drum arrangements while 'Belief' shows Klein forge an absolute banger with a much simpler approach of straight four-to-the-floor construction of hypnotic percussive rhythms and a single, cryptic synth lurking in the shadows. Floorplan delivers two excellent reinterpretations of Radio Slave 'Feel The Same', the title track from the Rekids founder's forthcoming album.

Made up of former Underground Resistance member Robert Hood and his daughter Lyric, the Detroit duo needs little introduction and last year saw the release of their illustrious album 'Victorious' on Hood's M-Plant.

The first remix of 'Feel The Same' extends to eight minutes long and is a journey; incorporating echoing chords, intricate percussion and a medley of esoteric effects whilst cackling laughter ebbs in and out of the mix. Meanwhile, the flip sees a more up front interpretation with its heady hook, rolling drums and energetic claps.

Welcome to Smallville, Rhythm of Paradise. We are big fans of Michele Lamacchia's music since he released 'Paradise' on his debut 12' as Rhythm of Paradise on Cosmic Rhythm. This track breathens out everything we love about house music- deepest rhythms and dope production, timeless sounds - and the mighty loon. Whenever we played this track since it came to light, this was a highlight of the night. We approached Michele to send some love for his music and he send over this EP- 3 tracks plus a shimmering remix from his buddy Nicola Loporchio aka Cosmic Garden, who is running the Cosmic Rhythm label. We are delighted to present these as Smallville 53, comes with a full cover art by the one and only Stefan Marx.

Making music literally since he can think and being able to read notes before he was actually able to read, Robin grew up
with classical piano, drums and percussion, spending days in front of the radio, waiting for his favorite songs to be played
so he'd be able to record them, trying to put together special selections of songs, collections of different moods, which he
would listen to when driving in the car with his father. All this, and of course playing in bands from Metal to Hip Hop and
from Punkrock to Funk, have helped Robin develop an extraordinary wide musical horizon and a very special intuition
and understanding of music that keeps spilling out of him like a source that never dries out as soon as he lays his hands
on any DJ-gear.
But not only as a DJ with residencies at the legendary Bar 25, Kater Holzig (now Kater Blau) and Watergate in Berlin or
Villa Nova in Hamburg Robin has earned his good reputation. Releases on labels such as Platzhirsch, Trapez ltd or
Kater Mukke (just to name a few) have underscored his standing in the world of electronic music and made the name
Red Robin stand for quality music & quality time.

Defcon / Plankton Jens Strüver since the eighties, working as a DJ and is co-founder of the label m = minimal. He curated the edition "ConStruct" with Conrad Schnitzler and obtained under the project name J.R. Plankton, Borngräber & Strüver and Kreuzberg with its own creations and collaborations international attention. He also works with Dirk Schlömer as "circuit" and
produced albums with Ernstalbrecht Stiebler.
Robert Defcon works as a journalist, artist and gallery in Berlin. He has published "3000 Bold" several books, including
the biography Interview with Einstürzende Neubauten, electronic and hiphop albums, including comprador ions with
Chilly Gonzales, and the two radio hits "City Boy" and.
Defcon and Strüver a longstanding friendship and love for unlimited music. As "Plankton vs Defcon" publish in 2016 their
first joint plate.

Zuckermann
Zuckermann's work is about developing electronic (dance) music further, so it stays on top of a contemporary lifestyle with its corresponding party and listening experiences.
In order to do this he uses unlikely but fitting references to other genres (classical, experimental 20th century music, jazz, children's songs...), non-musical ideas and sounds, as well as contemporary conceptual thinking to craft his tracks. His
approach aims partly at avoiding lazy cliches and partly at the fun of deconstructing the usual retro formulas we all know
too well. In the end, it is about creating a truly post-techno(logical) Techno. This Post-Techno is deepened electronic music with an experimental, multi-perspective approach and a serious attitude that will nevertheless rock dancefloors. Zuckermann has released on a number of up-and-coming German labels (among them - FormResonance run by Wareika's singer Florian Schirmacher), but has now turned his focus to Lebensfreude Records where he released his rather interesting solo album Serendipity in March 2014.

Shimza, real name Ashley Raphala, is one of South Africa's brightest young talents. 'Ascendent", his 4 tracks debut E.P. on Cadenza reveals solid production skills and an innate instinct for peak-time bangers. The opening track, 'Congo Congo' is a dark ride over abysmal tom-tom drums, lively percussions and a gloomy bass lead, ignited dramatically by an ensemble of wide synthetic stabs and chords. In its 'Dub- Mix", the drums and the percussion become lighter without diminishing its dynamic tension. The overall weight of the leads and the stabs is reduced, leaving more space to its intense piano and string chords and swinging sub bass. 'Shimza - Secret Melodies' starts with an obscure bass line, but the intense twist of fractioned rolls and arpeggios bring an ascending piano progression that quickly blooms into an uplifting symphony. 'Selector' is a deeper cut that keeps the gaze on the dancefloor: the incessant hand clapping and a cloud of low frequencies bumps unexpectedly drag its hypnotic harmonies into a breath-taking drop.

Scuba's entry in the revered fabric mix series features four debut-making artists, three of whom - Isaac Reuben, Glaskin, Blursome - feature on the present sampler 12' alongside the already-emerging talent of Tallmen785. Together they cover a rich gamut of style. Tallmen's gear-shifting opener - a charge of the techno brigade replete with live drum fills - leads into Blursome's compact, broken, nocturnal outcry. Isaac Reuben then messes with structure and genre, bringing deep house tropes into a lofi, rough and raw world before Glaskin blow the door wide open right at the very end to reveal their cavernous, ultra deep field. You'll be hearing a lot from all of them on Hotflush in the coming months, so for now let the music break the ice.

Collected Works 1996-2017' champions an oft overlooked aesthetic in contemporary techno, opting for radiant bliss over darkness and placing the listener in enveloping soundscapes, admirable for their sheer detail and arrangement whilst never losing sight of the dancefloor.The realisation of this project follows a 3 year period of co-writing, programming and engineering on the new UNKLE album 'The Road' part 1, which is now released. Since 1996, an accomplished career as a producer, and sound engineer has granted him releases on labels including Tresor, Delsin, Void, Archive, Rush Hour and Ferox, as well as a monthly residency at Tresor in Berlin

Matthew Puffett, the artist most commonly known as Future Beat Alliance, presents a retrospective of selected works under his most lauded moniker. The name - taken from an Afrika Bambaataa sleeve - may have been a nod to the early-80s hip hop that was his first musical love while growing up in Oxford, but the music bore the unmistakable influence of the Detroit techno that had become his obsession. 'Collected Works 1996-2017' maps an illustrious discography over two decades and will be released on the artist's own imprint - FBA Recordings. Preceding the compilation, a brand new track entitled 'Chemical Cloud' will also be released. The realisation of this project follows a 3 year period of co-writing, programming and engineering on the new UNKLE album -The Road' part 1, which is now released.

After a clutch of killers for labels like Dolly, Supply & Argot, John Barera & Will Martin team up once again to smash out four powerful dancefloor heaters for NYC's esteemed Basement Floor.

Back in June 2016, Riva Starr first appeared on Moon Harbour with a raw remix of Paul C & Paolo Martini's 'Rotation', which turned out to be a track that quickly found its way into some key DJ bags and stood out in myriad sets this summer. Now the Italian house talent is back to make his full debut with a solo EP entitled It Is True that is packed with real dance floor heat.Riva Starr burst onto the scene in 2010 with a playful and off-kilter house sound full of curious samples and kinked grooves. Since then he has solidified his singular style with three studio albums and 30 odd EPs on labels like Defected, Dirtybird and Casual. Of course, he also heads up his own Snatch! Records, which has become a bastion of big tunes thanks to his expert A&R. Up first here, the title track features acclaimed Manchester vocalist and producer DNCN, and is the sort of full fat and bouncy tech cut that keeps clubs locked to the dance floor. Cavernous bass loops and upright drums are joined by his tender male vocals and they add some truly heartfelt emotion to Starr's irresistible groove.The excellent 'Akitune' is more direct, with a punchy drum line keeping you on your toes as synths ride up the scale in playful fashion. Always taking you higher, there is an inherent sense of tension that builds and builds without ever releasing, and for that reason this one is sure to prove irresistible to dancers and DJs alike. A shorter DJ Tool edit is also included and features some percolating synths, woozy chords and reversed vocal sounds that will bring a real sense of craziness to any set.This EP manages to be to the point and effective without sacrificing any of Riva Starr's textbook production charm.

Following on from previous standout Inhouse compilations on Moon Harbour comes the latest instalment,
Volume 6. This time with 12 exclusive tracks presented digitally and on a 2 x 12' vinyl pack, young label
associate Marco Faraone has also gone to work on fusing them all together into one magical set that will
be available upon release. The compilation features music from a range of producers - some have been
with the label a while, some are newer recruits, but all of them fit in with the internationally acclaimed and
renowned Moon Harbour aesthetic.

London based East End Dubs is first up with the suitably dubby 'Maze,' a slightly creepy track that bumps
and grinds with lots of moody atmosphere. Stepping up through the gears with his bulky, bass driven loops
is then Andrea Oliva who first appeared on the label back in 2013, whilst Dan Drastic and label boss
Matthias Tanzmann team up again for their 'Arcade'. It's a spooky, stripped back house roller with a breezy
groove at its heart.

New recruits Chris Wood & Meat, frequent collaborators from Frankfurt, then turbo charge the compilation
with their excellently urgent and energetic track 'So Far Away', then former Minus staple Barem serves up
a rattling, kinetic track full of percussive energy that will get arms flailing on the dancefloor. Next up, Marco
Faraone goes deep with his deliciously driven 'Mirror Coat', featuring muttered vocals, spooky
instrumentals and humid ambiance that really seeps its way into your soul.

Label regulars Luna City Express score a hit once more with the widescreen tech and spoken word
consciousness of 'Get High', and fellow Moon Harbour staple Sven Tasnadi contributes the haunted late
night house charms of 'Special Places'. Sable Sheep is one of the label's new generation of talents and
gets all booty focussed and bouncy with his hard hitting jam 'Pilgrim', before the always on point Detlef
then conjures up an intoxicating vibe with his feathery light, minimal house jam 'Forenote'. Then come Paul
C & Paolo Martini, who get all slinky, silky and seductive with their metallic, loopy 'Speed Machine' track
and newest label member Cera Alba from the UK closes things down with his raw, hardcore deep house
hitter 'Voltage.'

This compilation once again proves that Moon Harbour evolves and experiments with subtle new sounds
each year. What's more, the label always stays true to their groove focussed, dancefloor aligned house
sound whether they call upon experienced old stars or hot new protégés alike.

Hot Creations revive Chicago's ghetto house scene with pioneer DJ Funk and German producer Rydim who deliver the pumping Ghetto Booty. A fitting addition to the release, Miami's Jesse Perez is on hand with solid remix.The title track is a real throwback to the era of ghetto house with it's straight up, stripped beats. Rydim explains 'this project is a dream for me! DJ Funk has always been my greatest hero in all things Chicago. Doing 'Ghetto Booty' with Charles was such a fantastic opportunity to bring all these energetic, uptempo Chicago vibes to today's dancefloors. It's a bouncing, killer of a track! The other 'Easy As That' is more of a DJ tool. It's the result of my latest drum computer, swinging like only these little machines can.' Rydim has been stirring up dance floors and releasing records under a variety of pseudonyms since 2002. Since his Rydim alias began in 2013, he has delivered releases for an enviable roster of labels including Hot Creations, Tsuba and Pets Recordings and his tours have included the electronic scene's most prestigious clubs.
