The entire A side is filled by the 12 minute sprawl of ""Brain Drained"", a journey down a dark greasy corridor. Towards the middle of the tunnel a dwarf stands casually, arms akimbo, as a 6 foot blonde bangs her head against the wall. The dwarf gives you a lethal look and silently mouths the words Keep on moving buddy, so you shuffle along, terrified, towards what might be the end of the tunnel, but sure smells like a funeral pyre.

B1(Technology Transplant) lets you lick a deceptively sweet lollipopi when babies are scared, it's good to let them suck on something.
B2 (four-two-nine) comes at you raw and direct with ten minutes of brawny pulse. You bite right through the lollipop. That same dwarf is backi he hands you a jersey (number 23) and some shoulder pads. Don't you remember you joined the football team

New Yorks' Matuss returns with the eighth release on her Absence Seizure imprint this September, comprising three originals from the Ukrainian born artist.

Julia Matuss, better known as simply Matuss has been steadily carving out a name for herself over the past decade, initially finding her feet as a prominent DJ in the Ukrainian scene she grew up in before a move to New York saw thing progress and the launch of her Absence Seizure imprint shortly followed. Now eight releases deep the imprint has piqued the interested of DJ's such as D'Julz, DJ Deep, Derek Plaslaiko, TWR72 and Beaner.

Taking the lead on the package is 'Fairy Dust' setting the scene via warbling Rhodes chords, raw dub sweeps and a pulsating low-end drive before a spaced out, sinuous resonant synth lead ebbs and flows throughout the focal point of the composition.

'Baelfire' follows and strips things back to raw percussive feel, employing thunderous claps, a weighty kicks and sweeping filtered sample as the foundation before the latter half of the record works in a frenzied acid-tinged hook. 'Faramant' then closes the package with an amalgamation of organic percussion, natural bass licks and glitchy percussive chimes which all subtly evolve and retract throughout.

The third release on Gratwanderung Musik is a Split EP of Filburt (Riotvan, Permanent Vacation,
O*RS) and Back For Good. GRADW03 comes out as a compact 7"-release and in a limited edition of

Karim Sahraoui has been producing gems for many years under various names such as Djinxx, Soul Monkey and Electronique Resistance. After a break 2014 saw his return to the business under his real name and producing music that is closer to him than ever. Releases included the future classic Eternal Life EP pt 1 on Derrick May's Transmat and appearances on labels such as Cocoon. The A-side features the epic 10-minute original version of 'Horns Of Glory' on which Karim takes his time to unfold the story of the track: A journey filled with beautiful melodies and rhythms that paint a lush landscape of sound. Side B features 'The Earth From Above' which again has a fairy-tale feeling to it. The B2 is Vince Watson's pumping and powerful remix of 'Horns Of Glory' which gives the track an energetic hypnotic quality and rounds off the package well.

Kevin Saunderson, a driving force behind Detroit's rich musical heritage and lauded innovator of techno, returns to his own KMS Records to deliver another unstoppable club weapon under his E-Dancer moniker - One Nation.One Nation begins its 6 minute journey with signature Saunderson percussion and a pounding 4/4 flow that oozes peak-time energy. An eerie and funk tinged synth fills the space with an intoxicating refrain to keep feet stomping, which later trades centre-stage for a heavy and evolving bass line as the track continues on its path of ebbs and flows. This heater aptly demonstrates why Kevin Saunderson it still one of the hottest names in dance music. As suited for sweaty basements as it is festival main stages, One Nation will surely feature in the bags of techno heavyweights for months to come.

This summer 2017 Tom Bulwer launches Parasol Culture, a vinyl only imprint, focusing on quality house and techno, with a tinge of "it's a London thing". Dutch born Tom came to London as a UK garage DJ working up his way the ranks of pirate radio stations (Freek FM, Unknown FM), to producing and working with UK garage legend Karl "Tuff Enuff" Brown. This year Tom is focusing on TB Audio, his analogue mastering studio in East London, and producing music on the deeper side of house and techno as a solo artist. Tom has released on labels such as Nu Faze, !K7 and Signatune Records. He also regularly writes with long term partner in crime Anna Wall under their own names and under their moniker casse. The first Parasol Culture release is the output of Tom and Anna's winter months under the same roof and in his studio in Hackney Wick. 2017 also sees Tom start a new venture with Dexter Kane (murmur, Get Physical, Fear of Flying), aptly named, Alternate Facts; a vinyl only label and free party series; wax and stacks, party over profit, power to the people. Benjamin Fröhlich's 2016 ep 'Rude Movements' gets the remix treatment by some of his favourite artists: Permanent Vacation long time collaborator and partner in crime Lauer tugs 'Amos' in with a very cosy Frankfurt Trance blanket, while Running Back regular Shan pulls out the curls of 'Holloway' thanks to his magic styling iron. The result: a pumping and string heavy affair. On the flipside Brussels's Wunderkind Cleveland delivers an energizing and mesmerizing breakbeat version of 'Ghost Orchid' for the magic moments in life. For its second release, the Barcelona-based independent label Venom Recordings follows its pioneering path into new and forward-thinking techno soundwaves. The EP, to be released in both vinyl and digital versions, features two original tracks signed by Dasein, as well as two remixes from VII Circle and Memorial Home. In their original versions, "Prometheus" and "Zodiac" reflect the Polish duo's distinctive signature: a blend of obscure-minded groove with cinematic melodies. Both tracks are defined by the layering of deep and immersive sounds, where the combination of restless, punctilious basslines and beats with pulsating synths reverb drops climax into a pure hypnotic and spacey atmosphere. For their interpretation, VII Circle and Memorial Home magnify the minimal and cosmic nature of the originals, crafting an ambient-like wavy tempo that traverse a dark flavoured sonic landscape with a strong emotional aura. Four pieces of electronic mastery which offer a captivating journey, to be savoured in the intimacy of its own soul or to be shared with nightclubbing fellows.

After the sweat-soaked throwback fervour of his 2015 debut LP, Unknown To The Unknown and Hot Haus main man DJ Haus returns to Rinse for a brand new 10-track album, "Artificial Intelligence". Working at a formidably high rate of productivity, Haus returns with this new record less than 12 months after his last; and he shows no signs of slowing down, maintaining his reputation for creating hard-edged dance anthems that leave a lasting effect on the dancefloor.

Each of the album's 10 tracks take on a life of their own, as DJ Haus mutates his own nostalgic influences through rave, acid basslines, detroit techno and more to create something with each track that's genuinely innovative, but no less devastating in the dance. Using Haus' broad sonic palette, "Artificial Intelligence" harks back to golden eras of dance music without ever seeming pastiche, with DJ Haus splicing pre-existing genres to produce hybrid sounds that are rooted firmly in the future. Collaborations with the likes of Arun Verone and DJ Octopus & Steve Murphy utilise their signature quirks, integrating them into Haus' creations to fabricate something completely unique.

Opening to the frenzied sounds of acid house, "Feels So Good" instantly consolidates the producer's deft ear for a purpose-built vocal sample. Using typically overlaid embellishments as rhythmic elements, DJ Haus utilises repetitive vocals & high-octane rave stabs to create a natural movement that's sure to heat up clubs worldwide. "Got Me", a collaboration with midlands-based tech house don Arun Verone, brings to the forefront an intensely percussive beat that's progressively anchored by acidic basslines, adding weight to the production's abrasive drum line.

For all the album's nods to the golden eras of classic genres, "Artificial Intelligence" doesn't veer away from experimentation, with the pummeling percussion of "Pump It" soon to be running up heartbeats nationwide, the 8-bit computer game-esque sounds of "Blip Blorp", and the paranoid chimes of "Artificial Intelligence". Argentina's Unlock Recordings present the third and final instalment in their 'Collaborations' series featuring Deep Mariano, One + 1 & Camilo Gil, Funk E & Bodeler and Ronan Portela.With the previous 'Collaborations' featuring Barem, Jorge Savoretti, Franco Cinelli and Leonel Castillo, Unlock's established ntourage of producers are well known for their distinguishable stripped back approach to house and techno. At the helm of the imprint is Gonzalo Solimano - former 'Mr. X' at Red Bull Music Academy and stalwart within Argentina's thriving scene. Each vinyl release is accompanied by artwork designed by Argentinian graphic talent Gisela Faure.GET SLOW founder Deep Mariano begins the release with 'From Machines To Jungle', a percussive roller fuelled by a sultry bassline and hypnotising atmospherics. One + 1 and Camilo Gil then demonstrate intricate drums and looped pads as subtle vocal samples mutter in 'Bitch Call' before Funk E & Bodeler introduce glitchy nuances and trippy atmospherics in 'Playa Den Bolsa'. Tying things together, Buenos Aires' Ronan Portela incorporates a little more thud whilst soothing synths operate in 'Changing Minds'

This October marks the release of Various Artist EP 'Collaborations 2' from Unlock Recordings, featuring tracks from label head Solimano, Bruno De Vincenti, Christian Burkhardt, Barem and Federico Molinari.

Gonzalo Solimano first created the Unlock Recordings imprint back in 2004 as a platform to support Latin American productions, and ever since then the Buenos Aires label has played host to the likes of Guti, Jorge Savoretti and Franco Cinelli. The second instalment in the label's 'Collaborations' series, Solimano now invites German producer Christian Burkhardt to join Argentinian talents Bruno De Vincenti, Oslo Records artist Federico Molinari and Fun Records founder Barem for a split release.

First up is Solimano & Bruno De Vincenti's cut 'Love Nebulae' which layers infectious percussion with gentle chord sequences and filtered effects. Christian Burkhardt's 'Doog' then cuts in on a deeper and darker tip, with a low-slung bass groove and hypnotic pad sequences.

Up next is Barem's 'Funk Duck' with its rolling percussion, staggered synths and a pulsating low end, before Federico Molinari rounds off the package with '2.014.2', blending dubby bass patterns, chopped samples and frantic synth spirals.

CBRB's latest triptych for Phantasy takes their sound into a more dystopian direction, a world of concrete shopping centres, the occult and physically irresistible repetition. The title track 'Mecanique Sauvage' is a muscular industrial / outsider house track, a stop start rollercoaster that constantly intensifies.
One part a brutal exercise in poise and restraint, and one part undiluted disco excess. A contradictory beast of a track.
Something of a epic (at over 8 mins long) 'Children Of The Monolith' drops the tempo to 100 BPM and takes the listener on a very different kind of trip. A widescreen composite of tribal drums, sinister synths and the beguiling mantras of an arcane cult. Don't touch the brown acid... 'Soda Jerk' is the everything but the kitchen sink moment on the EP, a hymn to over indulgence.
Unhinged electronic body music, a gloriously relentless assault on the senses. Resistance is futile!

Ibiza resident and darling of the White Isle, Davina Moss returns once more to Hot Creations. Having released on Jamie and Lee's imprint in 2015, Moss returns with two original cuts whilst Cuartero supplies the remix.
Oh Mama opens with tribal rhythms and a driving energy set against the enticing vocals of Issa Elle while Like A Proper Star concludes with a dynamism and groove reminiscent of Ibiza's hedonistic parties.
Best Newcomer at the DJ Mag Awards in 2015, Cuartero transforms Oh Mama into an after party dream drenched in rolling drums. The Spanish DJ and producer is no stranger to Hot Creations having previously released twice on the label.
Davina Moss has been producing and DJing for over a decade with a musical career that has allowed her to travel the world and release on a variety of labels, including ViVA Music, Pacha Recordings, Upon You and Do Not Sleep among others.

See Double, the London based imprint headed by Luca Cazal and Brigante, returns for its fifth outing, a three track EP from Boris Werner titled 'Badabing Badaboum'. A club-ready package and staple of Werner's recent sets, SD005 once again proves this Amsterdam local's deep knowledge and understanding of how to move a dance floor.
Played by Seth Troxler and Richy Ahmed amongst others and tried and tested by both label boss Cazal and Werner on DC10's terrace throughout this summer, title track 'Badabing Badaboum' is a bonafide club smasher. Leading the charge with a hypnotic bell riff alongside a chugging 4/4 pulse, Werner keeps a driving pace as sluggish and evolving low end theory enters the fray. A deftly constructed, energy filled arrangement progresses before indiscernible, tribal vocal chants take the fore, trading blows with a modulating acid bassline.
On the flip Werner delivers 'You Snooze You Looze', a tech-infused cut adorned with rolling subs, clinical percussion and a head-snapping rhythm. Phased synthesis and dissonant sample work pushes the track into uncharted trippy territory, as processed vox stabs and crisp hi-hat patterns maintain momentum, leading to a deeply musical breakdown that offers a truly dynamic shift in mood.
Closing the EP is 'Whooos In Control', a lesson in atmosphere and groove, which sees spaced-out synths interplay with automated stabs. Ethereal pads and warped fx float atop Werner's swung drum programming creating that perfect roller for those early morning moments.

Superfreq kicks off the New Year with Stand Up, the first single of three from Mr.C's forthcoming album Incidents. How Mr.C has found time to present an acid masterclass while touring the world, throwing events & running a label is testament to his passion. Stand Up is a politically motivated rebellious song that takes issue with the way nightclubs the world over have been closed down due to the financial greed of property developers at the expense of our beloved dance music community. This track is a call for the dance music community to stand up & unite against the continued aggressive affront on electronic dance music culture.

Finefood records and Benjamin Fehr are doing it again! One of the most talented producers of our time, teams up with the Swiss label in true techno tradition. This tightly controlled production is purposely built to enhance the dance floor with masterful, artful soundscaping. A tech hit if ever there was one. The first remix is produced by the talented Argentine artist Hernan Bass for the Swiss label, Finefood Records, he has done an amazing job. After stripping the track down to it's bare essentials, he kept the underlying tones and transformed the track into a more percussive melodic track, which any self respecting Dj would love to play. German mix-master Benjamin Fehr partners up with Alien Visa for this 7th production on Swiss label Finefood records. Growling and menacing, this duo reveal a dark side to the dance floor which can drive any electronic music enthusiast into fervor. Saccaded baselines reveal their talent. Thomas T and Anish are back again, collaborating with their favourite Swiss record label in this translation of Benjamin Fehr's Alien Visa original track remix. Nothing is lost in this translation, on the contrary, a 3rd dimension is added, transforming this track into true techno, spoken by all.

Apollo proudly welcomes the return of Gacha Bakradze (now recording under his full given name) to the fold with the 'We Must Be Woods' EP, five stunning tracks which represent his finest work since his debut Apollo LP 'Send Two Sunsets' in 2015. This has already been a great 2017 for Bakradze, with stellar releases on Fort Romeau's Cin Cin label and his own Transfigured Time imprint.

Georgia born Bakradze's music is a cinematic combination of beguiling melodies, exotic instrumentation and oceanic drones. Crafted in the autumn of 2016 'We Must Be Woods' sees a maturation and deepening of his sound - deftly programmed rhythms on vintage drum machines, eastern percussion and breakbeats underpin aching synth pads and gooey sub bass. Bakradze explores a range of tempos and moods, playing and recording kalimba, guitar and piano, weaving them into a captivating aural narrative which manages to both soothe and stimulate the imagination.

Gacha's ability to effortlessly fuse the the warm chords of Detroit techno and UK bass sounds with the dense atmospherics of shoe gaze, and the crumbling, analogue euphoria of krautrock is only growing with each release and should set expectations sky high for his forthcoming LP on Apollo later in 2017.=

Nandu returns with full force on OFF Recordings with Glömde, a high strung melodic techno cut consisting of one original track and two revamps.

Rolling into a broad groove from the get-go, Glömde is a tightly knit Tech House banger that brings together firm percussion and melodic synth thrusts. Singer Tyra's delicate vocals, at times whispered, add an extra layer of harmonies, making the track even more compact and entrancing.

Netherlander techno craftsman Love Over Entropy delivers a spellbinding remix, stripping down most of the original elements and reverting the focus onto the percussive backbone. Seemingly straightforward, LOE reconstructs the initial groove, rebuilding it up with industrial details and a raw,
ample sound esthetic.

An artisan of deep house reworks, Manoo explores Glömde's house appeal. Kicking off with a tribal percussion lead that stays centered throughout the cut, Manoo's remix brings out the track's versatility and plays on its spaciousness.

House hit makers MOTHER RECORDINGS are back with another tight two track package. This one comes from the label boss NHAN SOLO, a real house talent with plenty of great singles and EPs in his back catalogue, most often on his own great label.

Opening the release is SHOW ME LOVE, a deep and groovy number with nice piano chords rolling over slick house groove. Power female vocal add fuel and emotion to the fire and the whole thing really casts a spell on you.

BROTHERS KEEPERS is on the flip and is another kicking house tune with sleek metallic drums, great percussive tension with smart kills and filters, and clipped vocals that inject real warmth and soul. Both cuts carry on in this Berlin based producer's fine tradition and are sure to get plenty of dance floors on their toes in the coming months.

For the fourth outing of The Mekanism's WORX label, Sishi Rosch makes his debut with a highly infectious acid house EP that comes saturated with raw grooves and powerful rhythms. With releases on labels such as VIVA MUSiC, Heidi presents Jackathon Jams, Get Physical and more under his belt, Sishi Rosch has been a force to be reckoned with in the underground house scene. Worx 04 comes jam packed with menacing 303 bass lines and robust drum ensembles which can be easily compared to the early 90's seminal Chicago days where ghetto and acid house ruled all clubs. Easily one of Sishi Rosch's most avant-garde releases to date and making a clear statement in impulsing him in the top-tiered acid house world echelon.

'Uppercut' is less of a punch and more a slo-mo disco karate chop where stars and rainbows appear on impact. The uncompromised kicks and thwacking eight-bar snare snap your senses while the pensive one note riff, bulbous bass and cosmic synth weaves gradually climax into a Detroitian piano-smashing riff so evocative you could just lose your shoes.

'Shimmy' brings to mind oceanic ripples, which swell progressively and a timeless arpeggio, which ebbs, flows and occasionally bursts into full bodied bass before breaking out into an illustrious build where ghostly vocals mirror the sea's glimmers in an agelessly classic way.

Remix-wise Monabetta is packing equally serious heat: Viktor Talking Machine play the quintessential Street Fighters with an 'Uppercut' version that pummels with a juicy 808 and a short sharp break into the heavenly piano hook. German Brigante flips the switch on 'Shimmy', too, twisting our focus on the creepy crawly bass and pure epicity of the chords. Finally Lowertones bossman Leix adds a softer focus to 'Uppercut's emotional narrative and more of a jacking swing to the drums for a shorter, subtler journey.
