As summer slowly fades, Michael Clifford recalls those calming, intense moments, that merge the good feeling of inner warmth with deep sound.
Today, deep often gets misused as a cheap tag for music, not deep at all. Clifford really takes you on a journey towards your inner core.
Garnered in warm, low slung and minimalistically dubby beats, and sparse yet lofty snyths, his DEEPOLOGY EP needs no prayers for deepness.
IT simply IS the mantra of depth. Lost in the groove, based in the stealth of bass, coloured in shades of electronic yet organically warm tones.
Whether it's the originals or the acordingly set remixes: we ensure, if you trip to this you'll become whole again!

Guy J says: "Besides being an outstanding musical track, I know the power of a track when you write at a special moment and you express yourself completely through your music, Chicola has achieved that with 'Childhood' and has created a beautifully honest track, true to his feelings, this is why it is so special " Played by Dixon.

REPRESSED !!
Suction Records is thrilled and honoured to announce the reissue of D'Arcangelo's self-titled debut EP for Rephlex, the legendary UK label run by Aphex Twin and Grant Wilson-Claridge from 1991-2013. D'Arcangelo are the Italian duo of brothers Fabrizio and Marco D'Arcangelo, active in the underground electronic scene under various aliases since the early '90s, and still going strong today. Released in 1996, their Rephlex debut 'D'Arcangelo' was one of the first releases to make a firm connection between contemporary IDM/electronix and the sound of '80s synth pop. The 3 tracks on Side A are ripping, industrial-strength electronix, as fierce, crunchy and menacing anything Aphex Twin himself had released at the time. In sharp contrast, Side B's 3 tracks are playful, clean and melodic instrumental synthpop, with clear synthetic references to bands like Depeche Mode and OMD. It was a sound that was certainly not in fashion at the time, and helped the EP stand out in 1996, for that very reason.
Suction Records was launched in 1997 by Toronto artists Solvent and Lowfish - both producers attended high-school together in the '80s, and both were obsessed with synthesizers and electronic music. The synth pop sound of the '80s was in their blood, but in the '90s, both became absolute converts to the sound of Aphex Twin and other like-minded artists on labels like Warp, Rephlex and Skam. Discovering this 'D'Arcangelo' EP in 1996 was a revelation for the pair, a marriage of their 2 favourite sounds, and was one of the key inspirations for starting Suction Records the following year... so it was a dream come true when D'Arcangelo agreed to allow Suction to reissue this long-out-of-print and sought-after EP. In respect to the original release - Rephlex CAT039 - we saved a matching catalog # for our reissue: This is suction039.

Denis Sulta follows up the feverishly received 'It's Only Real' on Numbers with the first in a triptych of releases on his own Sulta Selects label. "Nein Fortiate" & "Dubelle Oh XX (JVIP)" straddle the release, occupying the same sound and space for which Sulta has become so renowned. Both tracks are of course staples in Sulta's DJ sets, and have been heard all across UK & Europe in recent months with "Dubelle Oh XX (JVIP)" also an undoubted highlight on Jackmaster's recent DJ Kicks mix. Two stripped back, melodically driving tracks that rely on the age old premise of making people DANCE!

Keope is the musical brainchild of Toni Bruna and Marcus Rossknecht - two artists who have known each other since 2005, having met and created music in Santiago de Chile.
However, the real adventure of Keope only started 10 years later when Marcus travelled to Trieste / Italy in July 2015 with the aim to record an album with Toni in an abandoned quarry on the Slovenian border.
The outcome Tropicalni seems to exist in a vacuum.
Stylistically, the nine tracks here owe something to multiple genres and reference points - from folk, Balearic, psychedelic and electronica, but none really fit well. Synths drift in breezily, floating around the wistful melodies - acoustic guitars sparkle, while flutes and melodicas evoke a little south American shamanism, and the beats hint at a deeper connection to dance rituals.

Herzblut Recordings boss Stephan Bodzin has unearthed a real gem in Luna Samara, the French DJ/Producer who prepares to release her first ever official EP, The Pink Room, on April 9th.
The mysterious fledgling producer had already impressed the label family with early demos and it wasn't long before Stephan, having road-tested the tracks, was snapping them up for Herzblut.
As its name suggests Arp Choir is a wonderful arrangement of ascending synth and warm enveloping bass. Steadily building to its mid-track break, an electronic thunderclap issues an increase of pace and intensity, yet the track never loses any of its initial elegance. Beautiful.
Having sung with the Choir, Luna Semara now takes us to The Pink Room. Burbling synth and a solid kick drum lead us in as warm, heaving pulses heat the space. The Pink Room never peaks, holding us in suspense for whats to come. Making it a perfect track to open any night.
Luna Semara's talent is clear for all to hear and we can't wait to see her back on Herzblut.

Deeply rooted in classic hip-hop, funk and boogie, Kiev-based beat maker Pahatam didn't mind selling everything he had back in the day in order to afford his first Roland drum-machine.
Addicted to vinyl, he believes that the dissonance is what makes music beautiful and puts the groove and atmosphere in there in the first place. Experimenting over the years have led him to produce a raw house and academic techno sound and he never seems to stop exploring...................................
God's Son is stuck in between raw house and techno, this powerful track is full of 909 drums with a powerful sub-bass line, weird melodies...
Opus Flight is still raw and amazingly trippy & has an all most downtempo feel at times. Pahatam's signature 808-707-909 combination takes the main groove on the track to a level of beauty.......
All That You Got is a juicy slice of Kiev underground house & techno with a dirty Reese bassline and a tearing thick vocal line that makes us believe Robert Owens has recently moved to the Ukraine.....
Lastly All That You Dub is a DJ-friendly version of All That You Got with a slightly different bassline and atmospheric dubbed out chords...................

Kraftek is very proud to present a special edition limited vinyl pressing featuring 2 brand new remixes from label heads Pleasurekraft. On the a-side, THE track that first put Pleasurekraft on the map and now revered as one of the all-time classics of tech house, 'Tarantula'. After several initial vinyl pressings all of which sold out when it first came out in 2010- this marks the first time the track is available on vinyl again. However, the real jewel in the crown here is the boys new techno take on their original. Darker, harder, and meaner, the '7 Year Itch Rework' marks the 7 year anniversary of the track and showcases the musical evolution of the duo as they have gone from strength to strength, having embraced a much tougher techno sound which has brought them the enthusiastic support of icons like Carl Cox, Adam Beyer, Nicole Moudaber, Kolsch & more.
On the flip side, American techno producer Charles Duff aka Matrixxman has seen a meteoric rise in just a few short years. From the early Crosstown Rebels days to Matthew Dear's Spectral to now being a cornerstone of the Dekmantel family, here he gets his track "The Spell" a steroid injected remix from Pleasurekraft. While the beautiful ethereal hook of the original remains intact, the drums and new supporting synth lines make for a behemoth of a canvas for the lead to shine on.
We are very proud to present this special limited edition Kraftek Vinyl Series Vol 2.

DIY: A simple idea, rooted in the wish to change the predominant principles and to do something in one's own way.
For 10 years now Diynamic - the artist collective surrounding label father Solomun - acts true to this calling. Since 2006 it's all about releasing, partying, thinking ahead and doing it yourself. Born in the heart of Hamburg's St. Pauli neighbourhood, now home in virtually every corner of the world.
The beginning of the adventure dates back even further, to the year 2003, when the clique around Solomun introduced their DIY party series in Hamburg. 2006 saw the founding of the music label Diynamic, followed by the opening of infamous EGO club in Hamburg's red light district St. Pauli in 2009. This was soon succeeded by own Festivals on multiple continents, worldwide Diynamic Showcases and several successful residencies on Ibiza.
So how do you commemorate such a special anniversary The year 2016 already saw the novel 10-Years-Diynamic parties in multiple metropolises around the globe - so now it's time for some music. The 10-Years-Diynamic Compilation: A collection of 13 unreleased original productions by Solomun, Adriatique, H.O.S.H., Kollektiv Turmstrasse, Stimming, Karmon, NTFO, Thyladomid, Ost & Kjex, Magdalena, Johannes Brecht, Undercatt and Lehar. But it's not just all four-to-the-floor: the styles of the tracks are as diverse as the artists on Diynamic. As diverse as the members of a family. So, no more words now - hear it yourself.

Any system contained in our universe tends to reach a stable equilibrium state. In the invisible world of sounds, it/'92s about harmony. The 4th release on Liniar is more like an electronic alchemy where wobbly baselines wearing traces of Detroit DNA bring order to the apparently chaotic showdown of experimental bits & pieces. Leading every single sound to balance.

Circular Rainbow and Monsieur Rêve welcome Wladimir ! A superb 4 titles EP bringing at first Galaxie 14 a track full of extreme bridges for shouting crows.... Begin In your Brain, the A2 is a fat Electro techno distribing cut. B side opens with Kolibri, a nice tekhouse balade, the nowaday basic sound.... The EP ends on a superb Abracadabra tune, mollidous electro house, charming and precise... Aways with that Electro groove little beat base.
Jesus Was Black goes to Chile thanks to the new vinyl release by the hand of producer Andre Butano & Felipe. Push Cat EP, the artists first release for the label, is a refreshing fusion of the organic beats and the avant-garde music.
The title track brings on an underground micro house essence with a thick bass rhythm and crazy voices. The EP features two cold remixes from the spanish talent Jairo Catelo (Darkroom Dubs, Plastic City) with his bubbling synths and house rhythms making a master deep piece.
Jorge Savoretti (Viva Music, Little Helpers) make it with hypnotic broken beats and maintains the deep feel that brought him to Jesus Was Black. Closing the Ep we can find an awesome original track like "Rework" with vinyl popping accents and a couple of vocal hooks, a track to make everyone sweat on the dance floor.

An album by Roman Flügel is always a sensation. That holds true for his countless monikers and collaborations as it does for his 2011 Dial debut Fatty Folders. Being the first of its kind under his civic name, the long over-due association of Hamburg's cerebral label and its group of off-centre house and techno individuals with Frankfurt's favorite electronic music producer for the thinking man and woman, proved to be a seminal one.
Now, that sort of Happiness Is Happening again. Roman Flügel's follow up on Dial takes off, where Fatty Folders landed: on a runway that acknowledges the roots of house and techno as well as its fruits, but leads to a different location. Exempt from the burden that a concept album can lay on its author, Flügel seems not to be concerned with the current trends, retro fashion or a pre-conceived topic. Free-wheeling and with a freshness akin to morning dew, he rather takes us by the hand and through ten tracks that sometimes feel like songs without a voice.
Having said that, the strongest point of Happiness Is Happening is that it has a voice. The voice of a maker who is not afraid to mix joy and pain, ambient textures with remnants dance floor euphoria, quiet spaces and loud places. So you have an almost Depeche-Mode-like ballad that the "Friendship Song" is, next to the techno city ghost story of "Occult Levitation". Slow-motion robot disco ("Wilkie") appears as much at home here as the bulky "Stuffy" or the sudden impact in "We Have A Nice Life". That list goes on and on. The most startling fact about Roman Flügel's tour de force is that its sum is as great as its parts. Nothing feels superfluous, ill-paced or forced here. Its a condensate of a life that has been spent in techno, house and its various mutations and archetypes with a sensibility for pop music, a consciousness of indie culture and an affinity for the avant-garde as such.
Happiness Is Happening is like a concept album without a concept. A testament to the fact that the concept of an album that works within the realms and boundaries of "electronic (dance) music" can be so much more than a loose collection of 12-inches or just an exercise in style: it can be, after all, a piece of art and at its best comparable to a successful singer-songwriter album without words. Especially, when the creator of all his seems to be truly comfortable with himself and at his best. Then, Happiness Is Happening, indeed. GERD JANSON

Four is the magic number: Todd Terje's next 12' super sound single on Olsen Records finds him going back to his roots with two extended and sparkling synthesizer adventures for club use.
Spiral' and Q' are preceding the mastermind's up-and-coming debut album (where none of the tracks appear) and are the elaborated results from a commissioned concert for Bergen's 2012
Ekko Festival. The title track is exactly that type of percussive-driven crescendo cut that would have had discerning discos of yesterday hitting their roofs - luckily, the dance floors of today are none the wiser while spiralling into bliss. Q' on the other side is a twelve minute long trance-not-trance epic that makes use of cowbells, fosters distortion as a stylistic device and features a
prominent melody that won't leave your brain too so on and makes it impossible to hit the stop button. Housed in tremendous and theme-fitting sleeves conceived by Oslo's top illustrator Bendik Kaltenborn.

Sonic Highway is the result of a coming together of two of Holland's brightest stars. Rejected boss Joris Voorn took part in a Red Bull Studios Amsterdam project back in the summer of 2014, in conjunction with Mystery Land Festival, where he was to select a rising Dutch talent and work on a new composition together. Joris chose Joran van Pol, the young, gifted Minus signing who had also made a Rejected debut back on February with 'Perpetuous'.
Together they created the as yet unreleased 'Reverse Rotation'. Inspired by the project Joris invited Joran to work together on a new release for the label and 'Sonic Highway' was born.
Having worked together on ideas, both then flew solo in creating their own individual version. Label boss Voorn takes us on an evening cruise, with his spritely, bouncing melody keeping our speed in check as the night darkens and the lights flash past. Joran rolls out a much deeper, moodier, but urgent version with his late night foot-to-the-floor mix.
DJ FEEDBACK
Kölsch - Been hammering this for a while now. Love it.
Hot Since 82 - I always wondered what this was Joris. Love it really :)
Francois K - Both versions are great. Very playable, even together actually.
Karotte - Both versions of Sonica Highway are cooool! I like these!
Secret Cinema - Supertune! Catchy as always!
Wally Lopez - Both of these are sounding good for me both... Will play!!
Pig & Dan - Definitely into the darker van Pol version. Will give it a run. Thanks.

Futureboogie Recordings, purveyors of fine dance music since 2011, reaches its landmark 50t h release this April. An integral part of the Futureboogie DNA, Christophe has been the visual force and visionary since the label's inception. Having designed the sleeves and artwork over the years, Christophe's musical direction has also been a cornerstone of the imprints sonic persuasions, contributing three key releases to the catalogue to date as well as various remixes and edits.
'50' comprises four brand new tracks from Christophe, each one displaying an assured grasp of what makes a crowd move, having been an essential resident DJ at the Futureboogie events globally.
'Dance Pants' takes the futuristic highway through contagious acid basslines, frenetic drum machine patterns and spiraling pads, whilst imaginatively titled 'Caravanaramabar' keeps the energy levels raised with shimmering synths, beating drums and sun rising melodies.
On the flip, 'Savanna' mellows the pace somewhat, wrapping a delectable synth riff around a percussive heavy beat, dusted with choppy vocal hits and dreamy stabs. Closing the EP is 'Key Largo'; wigged out bass and freestyle keys jostle over reverberating drums for a real hypnotizing finale on this milestone 50th release.
A wealth of house music royalty and bourgeoning talent has helped shape the Futureboogie sound and label brand. Julio Bashmore, Waifs & Strays, Eats Everything, Felix Dickinson, O utboxx, Ron Baseman, PBR Streetgang and Lauer are amongst the role call that have helped the label chalk up 50 releases, with label boss Dave Harvey already lining up the next slew of releases to help Futureboogie march towards another 50!

Detroit's Burden Bros have long been looked upon with immense respect within contemporary dance music. Having had success in the mainstream and an enduring underground presence they are well versed in the art of music. Continuously reimagining his sound and style, the Grammy-winning artist Sharam digs deep into his bag of production tricks for his new project Collecti, drawing heavily from the darker influences of techno. The album is comprised of a host of new material that he has been field testing with incredible response. "Collecti is a culmination of work that represents my endeavours into a sound that has always been near and dear to my heart and central to my sets: Techno. For my last album Retroactive, I was fixated on all of my influences over the years, for this album, however, my focus is on the darker realms. These records are my dance floor experiments, my secret weapons, tracks that have been driving my sets and I'm excited to share this body of work with everyone." - Sharam
'Spaci' is the closest the album gets to house territory, with a groovy bassline and scattering drum fills, while a remastered version of Sharam's 2010 tour de force 'Hemi' populates this single's B-side, a spastic eight-minute epic that pits chaotic synth squeals and chopped up noise against trudging, liquefied bass.

This is an exciting one for us, it has to be said. We're nearing our 200th Freerange release and in that whole time there's only been one rissue of a previously available track, that being Blackjoy's 'Untitled'.
Almost ten years on and it's time to indulge ourselves once more by presenting you with two of our all time favorite house tracks, which incidentally both happen to be by Chicagoans Hula, Maurice Joshua, Martell Steward and Craig Simpkins - better known as Da Posse. Many of you will probably know 'In the Heat Of The Night' which was released on Future Records in 1988 and some of you might even have a copy on vinyl. If so then good for you because the original is currently changing hands for serious money because somewhat strangely there don't seem to have been any obvious edits or white labels of these particular Da Posse tracks and certainly no official re release on vinyl or digital. We hope you agree that with club music like this sounding every bit as mind blowing today as it did in 1988 it seems only right to help introduce such innovative, influential and timeless music to a wider audience.
Opening up the release we have the Vocal Mix of 'In The Heat Of The Night' in all it's raw, stripped back beauty. In our opinion this has to be right up there at the pinnacle of Chicago house from the late 80's and certainly managed to make a huge impact four thousands miles away in Essex where Tom and myself discovered it aged seventeen. You only have to listen to tracks such as Steffi's Yours to hear the profound influence of tracks like this on modern house music.
Flipping over we have the more laid back, late night affair known as In The Life in it's Keys Mix incarnation. This one gives a nod to Da Posse's counterparts over in Detroit with a rolling DX bassline but balancing out the cold, metallic minimalism with warm, soulful pads and chiming melodies. It's very easy to see how much of an impact this early 90's gem had on UK producers like Future Sound Of London and 808 State even though it went relatively under the radar at the time of its release.
We really hope you enjoy these amazing tracks and supporters can look forward to fresh re edits from The Black Madonna, Parris Mitchell and Jimpster coming very soon.

Elliot Adamson knows how good he is, which is equally as daunting as it is impressive.
I've known him since he was the eager beaver Barman at a place I'd play regularly in my hometown, who used to try and stick his demos under my nose, and now he seems poised for world domination with a who's who of the worlds biggest DJs singing his praises.
I'm so pleased I listened to those demos when I did.
Elliot has a startling breadth and depth of taste for someone of such tender years (although to be honest, people only mention other peoples youth when they feel like they're getting old themselves).
The EP Elliot has provided for Me Me Me covers a range of vibes which can be traced through mid 90s house, millennial techno and that current and contemporary feel that we're all still struggling to name adequately.
Elliot is a real talent and I couldn't be happier to provide a platform for what I feel is his most esoteric work to date, and a worthy showcase of his real capabilities.
