House Vinyl New Releases - News

Italian based label Space Echo Recordings starts with its first vinyl release containing some wicked electronica material for spacy nights.

second release from new label canoe, 2 tracker, a1 from rubbadub's noface, track, young larry, as featured on denis sulta's boilerroom, b1 nyra - sisco visco disco whisko, vinyl only, limited numbers, don't splash about !!!!!

Moss Co. returns with rising Italian star Noha for a thoughtful 3 tracker remixed by label boss Archie Hamilton. Loopo Di Mare on the A1 is a positively groovy affair. Rolling percussion and driving stabs modulate and talk to each other playfully, punctuated by big pad sweeps and mini breaks keeping the dance floor enthralled; the kind of track that could be deployed effectively at any time of night and have a different result each time. Cat takes a more heads-down approach. Loose and lively percussion meets a concurrent synth, sustaining pressure throughout the intro, hinting at deeper message which is finally delivered in the form of a powerfully emotive lead. Guaranteed eyes-closed, heads down.
Archie Hamilton toughens up the percussion in his interpretation of Cat on the flip side. Driving bass meets crisp highs, tight drums and a hypnotic, distant vocal. The lead is kept until the first break where it is used to great effect - kept close to the original, but with added warmth and distortion. A tried and tested dance-floor bomb.

Besides being a close buddy for soon 20 years and one of the best dj's on the planet, Herr Janson is also a safe bet for your "floorfriendly"rework. He just knows what your track will need to work those feet. He handed over his "Prinspersonation" together with a drum-tool version that will be useful for any adventureous dj out there. I also made 2 tracks specifically for this 12" that fills the b-side and wraps up the story of "Principe Del Norte"for now. - Prins Thomas

Continuously reimagining his sound and style, the Grammy-winning artist Sharam digsdeep into his bag of production tricks for his new project Collecti, drawing heavily from the darker influences of techno. The album is comprised of a host of new material that he has been field testing with incredible response.
"Collecti is a culmination of work that represents my endeavors into a sound that has always been near and dear to my heart and central to my sets: Techno. For my last album Retroactive, I was fixated on all of my influences over the years, for this album, however, my focus is on the darker realms. These records are my dance floor experiments, my secret weapons, tracks that have been driving my sets and I'm excited to share this body of work with everyone." - Sharam
'Scorpi' has been tested to wild acclaim. Its roaring vocal-synth riffs and heavy bass line have become one of Sharam's secret peak-time tools, so much so that he's almost reluctant sharing it. 'Mini' is more subdued, channeling some Maurizio influence with a long, continuously-modulating riff and tripped-out sounds.

Spencer Parker returns to Radio Slave's Rekids imprint for two stripped back cuts in the second instalment of 'No More Silly Club Songs' this February.
The Work Them Records founder and Rekids regular dropped the first four track package last summer, which was a series of tools produced with Parker's own DJ sets in mind. Vol.2 initiates with robust kicks and shuffling hats in 'Silly Club Song No.5' whilst charismatic chords operate amongst drum rolls and a vocal crying out 'dance'. On the other hand, 'No.6' follows a similar muscular aesthetic yet incorporates a 'Reese' inspired bassline as percussive elements rattle throughout. Supported by Radio Slave, Rodhad, DJ Rolando, Marcel Dettman, Ben Sims, Mr. G amongst others.

This is volume 1 out of 2 of hip hop gone wrong from John Daly's West 2 West project.
.
Following up last years well received The Smoke Clears, John Daly returns to the label under another alias - West 2 West which was debuted on Jheri Tracks Vol 1. Equally as atmospheric as the ethereal Smoke Clears, this project is the result of his ongoing hip hop obsession. MPC workouts inspired by current listening, the result isn't quite hip hop, but sits nicely in the all city beat discography. There's an after hours headphone feel to the set - spanning twenty four tracks split evenly over two 12 inches - Volume 1

After rumors have started of re-pressing the much requested and super rarely Le Nid D'oiseau EP from the year 2003, Charles Noel and the label decided to go rather for an all new 12".
The EP contains 4 unreleased eclectic techno tracks dated back to the time of the predecessor. Charles Noel aka Archetype is definitively a wizard behind the machines, creating such an awesome and impressive atmosphere with not that many elements

Underground Audio are proud to present brand new remixes of Cristoph's highly acclaimed 'Shelter' track.
'Shelter' is set to be one of Cristoph's most successful acclaimed releases. Support on the single reads like a who's who in House Music, featuring in leading charts from the likes of Jay Lumen, Dale Howard, Mihalis Safras, Sante, Him_Self_Her & Sidney Charles.
In his early years, Cristoph was influenced by the sounds of his father's Motown vinyl, paired with his older brothers Chicago and Detroit house cassettes, not a bad combination even if we do say so ourselves.
This nurtured a passionate love for music from an early age, with him citing Masters at Work and 'MK' as early influences.
From North to South and everywhere in between, Cristoph has been causing a storm on the dance music scene.
His effervescent, broad ranging style encompasses heavy bass lines, uplifting melodies and carefully chosen vocals, spanning the deep house to techno spectrum.
Remixes on this hot package courtesy of Sante, Josh Butler and Snilloc with early support from the likes of Hot Since 82 and Richie Hawtin.
Snilloc takes things a slightly funkier vibe with a grooving baseline, clever staccato synth stabs and a big brass horn making this a dance floor must have. Next up is Josh Butler with a hypnotic heads down groove.
Berlin star Sante emerges with quality a deep, dark mix. Showcasing his excellent production skills and a clever percussive groove.
Cristoph's hard work ethic accompanied with his quality production has gained the attention of Radio 1's Pete Tong, listing him as "A Future Star"

New Year - New artist keeping it freaky and strictly Sponky!
Irelands Kalla makes his DABJ debut with four killers that we have been sitting on for a criminally long time (sorry mate!). We are extremely happy to finally get these out on wax so everyone else can enjoy popping their woofers and tweeters as much as we have over the past 6 months!
Limited to 300 copies, hand stamped labels with love from Glasgow. Props to Lindsay Todd from Firecracker for the sweet stamp designs!

1x each customer! Future Times is very juiced to announce a two-track 12" from one of DC's freshest, Sami, of the wonderful 1432 R crew! "Planing" cruises with morphing late night drums and blasted flutes through a gang of FX and synth wash, and "Sickos" is another all-nighter, a crispy bubbler that keeps swingin' and slammin', for body and mind. Deejays take heed, this is 1 u need

With spring well and truly in the air and party season in step, Mosaic Records boss Steve O'Sullivan launches Mosaic's 38th release - joining forces with fellow Londoner Frazer Campbell for a new studio collaboration.

Not content with letting the dust settle from his recent work alongside Ricardo Villalobos, O'Sullivan has stayed a little closer to his London home to work with Frazer Campbell for this latest tag team effort. A dextrous hand in the mix and producer in his own right, Campbell has a passion for all things that sit on the deeper end of the house, techno and electronica spectrum. In his own words, thought emoting music is central to his mission having launched Open Recordings and Elliot Project Records last year: a worthy sparring partner indeed.

Since the start of the year, the pair had their heads down focusing on finding a happy medium between deeply swung grooves and the airy influences of Detroit - shaking out an interesting trio of tracks for their label debut. Far from treading the obvious path, the main event A1 'Hypnotonic' revels in a lighter touch as metronomic beat programming cycles endlessly to a held set of notes. Off-kilter bass pulses, warped out vocals and effect splashes all intersect to keep the energy input constant as they capture one of those less frenzied moments where the very notion of time seems to hold still. Make no mistake, this is a slow burn vibe.

Head to the flipside B1 'Soultonic' to plunge yourself straight into hip twitching mode when the lights go down. A deep chord, syncopated hats and deftly tweaked synths echo as a full dose of shuffle inflicts its move. Simple yet so effective, this track will not let you down. Winding things back up a touch, the tougher edge of 'Alleyway Funk' pushes the feeling on thanks to a thumping kick and a deft nod towards UK Garage. Met with a soft glisten of a Rhodes piano and tweakish melody, the pair round things off in a boyant mood - fans of Soul Capsule and Schatrax will no doubt agree.
Repeat play of this EP is recommended as its all the more rewarding for it.

This amazing EP from Dubsons has an amazing analog sound with a mixture of tracks. We have a bouncey groovey track, a driving housey track and an underground minimal dark room track. All these tracks have had amazing support from the likes of Rhadoo, Petre Inspirescu, Nu Zau and lots more. This EP has been in the pipeline for some time and is still doing the rounds at various events and festivals with the big boys. Burghez has an irie, creepy feel which would go down well at any after hours or main time set and is our personal favourite here at Trapped Ldn.

The dust settles on the inaugural release... We immediately swipe the dust away and prepare a triple-shot salvo from FYI Chris: two west friends from around the way. Tracks informed by times spent on the shore, in fields by moonlight with moonshine and in the line for some midnight scran. Pass some time and the peace pipe with this bundle of audio from PECKHAM, LONDON. (°)

2soul Remix EP - on remix duty we have a very exciting selection of artists, we are happy to present the interpretations from Martin Landsky (Pokerflat), El Mundo (Bondage-Music) and Mario Aureo (Ritter Butzke Studio).

Coming from Geneva (Switzerland) but "napoletano" by heart, Pascal Viscardi is a new face in the deep-house panorama. The 31 years old fellow started his career (as a producer) a few years ago with 2 twelve inches on "The Exquisite Pain", including remixes from some heavy weights : Mark E, Session Victim and Agnes.
For his debut on "Frole Records", Pascal kicks in with a single track. "The Warmest Color" is the kind of cut you might play when the sun shows up and the bodies are ready for the slower and sexiest loops. In a totaly "Modern Swiss Vibe" (Did you say Agnes...) this double kicked tune offers you a straight, extra-shuffled, moodygritty and dubby moment. Is this Love at first sight! Yes, it is...
Our new friend didn't come alone, chosing carefully his remixers to complete your wax in a most accurate way.
On the A side - together with Pascal's "Original Swiss Swing"- we're proud to present you the greek berliner : Kindimmer. If you ask Ralph Lawson (2020 Records), the boss could tell you how talented the young dude is... At least, his record on the inconic label proves it all. Here on our release, Kindimmer offers a subtle and minimalistic approach to satisfy all your germanic house needs.
The B side starts with the german puncher Manooz, well known for his bangers on labels like "Tomorrow is Now Kid!", "Morris Audio", " Housewax ", and more... His version is a devastating big room nugget you should drop if you wanna see your dancefloor burning.
On B2 we have the third remix which comes from a really interesting outsider, our french mate : Toni Be. His releases on "Courtesy Of Balance Recordings", "Soul Notes" and "Rawthenticity" have truely convinced the genre specialists. Concerning his tune : dont look further, here you have the deepest cut of the bunch.

Minimood continues with a deep piece of heady minimal from esteem German producer Sascha Dive with a mesmerizing remix by celebrated Dutch producer Ion Ludwig.
The 'After The Storm' EP is released on Vinyl Only. 'After The Storm' is ten sumptuous minutes of moody and atmospheric deep minimal house with warbling synths, meandering drums and spooky, spaced out atmospheres. The drums roll on free from any friction and the pads are delicate, elegant affairs that circle round you and leave you hanging in a wide open space. Vocals sounds like those from a spaceship's PA and lend the whole thing a sense that you are voyaging through the galaxies. It is a truly burrowing track that gets right into your mind, body and soul. Ion Ludwig's remix is quicker and more synthetic, with waify pads, gently breaking waves and fizzing little modular synth lines that are crisp and rhythmic and will fit perfectly into a set by the likes of Ricardo Villalobos. This is classy and subtle music that is stripped back and slow burning yet has a huge impact.

Simbad (aka SMBD) is a stalwart of the underground music scene in UK and because of his vast arrays of releases it's very hard to put him into any box or music category. Since his 2007 album Supersonic Revelation & his worldwide acclaimed dancefloor hit Soul Fever, the London based frenchy has been constantly travelling the five continents entertaining delighted clubbers with his super energetic dj skills or producing and recording various artists from many different genres including deeper Dubstep don Mala (DMZ), UK Hip Hop star Roots Manuva, Cuban songstress Dayme Arocena, Detroit House producer Kai Alce, Berlin based deep Techno artist Fred P, Seun Kuti from Afrobeat's most famous family, Brazilian superstar artist/actor Seu Jorge and being production mentor for the king of cool, radio DJ Gilles Peterson (who made him one of the resident at his Worldwide Festivals). With the Moon Theory EP Simbad demonstrates his talent on some deep analog frequencies for the very solid & ever growing label that is Apron Records. As the music wizard puts it himself : 'im just trying to make some timeless shhhhh man, soul in all forms really, trying anyway ! And I guess that the best is yet to come.

Sex Panda White next release is the vinyl one again.
British producer Vanilla Ace with the raw of successful releases OFF Records, Toolroom Records and Nurvous Records presenting his 'Reaching Out' release.
The release like all Sex Panda White EPs is versatile and consequently shows all shades of house music on one plate.
Having united with Donny Bravo, Vanilla drops the original of 'Reaching Out' - the main track of release with disco background and smooth vocals. That is the A1 side.
A2 has the collaboration of mentioned Vanilla Ace with XY-Me. 'I Wanna Get' measureable groove inside with funky and melodic elements.
B side is remixes side.
B1 is with Berlin based Ryan Dupree who is gaining big fame after Stil Vor Talent release; he makes his version absolutely exciting - hardware and juicy, for real deep house lovers.
Marcato & Tiny Toon are showing dancefloor vision of a track. Percussive, organic and minimalistic - you will enjoy it.
As usual - top releases from Sex Panda White, don't miss the next one!

After 20 years as a dj and several releases on labels just like Anthony Rother´s Datapunk, Dave Clarke´s Whitenoise or co-labs with Gez Varley from LFO, Frank Kusserow took a longer break from the active electronic music scene. In the meantime he produced tons of new tracks that result in his new and vinyl only imprint Sprow Recordings. The name Sprow comes from his career as a BMX professional in the early 80´s and the logo of the label was created in that time also. Herewith he fulfills his long term dream to start a record label, where he only decides about the musical output. The labels philosophy is to always feature different styles on each release, from straight Techno to Acid, Dub, Detroit and more electro influenced or melodic stuff.

The first release "Mind the Acid EP" includes 3 tracks. "Mind the Acid" on the A-Side is a straight forward and epic acid stomper. "Altered States" on B1 is a hypnotic, more melodic piece of techno and "Dub Reason Pt.1" closes the EP with more dubby and quiet vibes. Stay tuned for more releases coming soon on Sprow Recordings.

N.O.I.A. Records is proud to announce the arrival of an eight track album from Italian pair TenGrams entitled Outerspace Blues. TenGrams are brothers Alessandro and Davide Piatto, who collectively have a deep and long understanding of dance music. Davide runs the N.O.I.A. label and was one of Italy's first touring electronic live acts, performing and recording with drum machines and synthesizers as early as 1978 as part of seminal Italo outfit Klein + M.B.O. Since then they have released under an array of aliases, have clocked up numerous club hits and this new project brings them right back to their electronic roots.
Recorded and mixed between the end of 2015 and summer 2016, vintage synths, drum machines and samplers and no rules or music trends went into the writing process here, and the result is a work that is influenced by sci-fi movies and electronic music from krautrock to techno. The title reflects a certain sadness and nostalgia and the whole thing unfolds perfectly.
Kicking off with the crisp electro bumps of the title track, the cosmic feels continue through Electric Happiness, with its bobbling bass and smeared widescreen pads. Please, Wash My Brain Again then resets the mood with a deep and ambient piece that has glassy keys and modulated synths subtly moved along by gentle bass pulses. The dreamy Cosmic Goodbye continues you on your journey though space, then the fantastic Triffids Love is another zoned out and ambient number with coarse clasp, sonar blips and sombre chords all soothing mind and soul. After the cavernous synth sweeps of the downbeat roller Dont Do Drugs, excellently gurgling synth sounds are joined by simple but effective kicks on Everyone Is Worth Saving and closing bonus cut Soular comes on strong with lo-fi percussive patterns, stiff drums and an old school house feel that rounds things out in style. As far as fully realised albums of spaced out analogue house goes, there will be few better than this in 2017.

Made in Italy returns with a serious Various Artists features K.A.M.A. and a collaboration between Medeiros & Archila on the A Side. On the B side, Gregorio Serasin & Fulvio Ruffert delivered a club hit called Harem" and Vloon M & Rhythm Box to complete the V.A.

Following the succes of the previous release from the Giuseppe Cennamo Natural Rhythm proudly presents the latest installment: two bomb tunes from the italian Music On residents Neverdogs and two super tunes from the french super producers Medeew & Chicks Luv Us .

First release on the label Rhythm Control Barcelona, which is also the name of the record store owned by DJ Bruce Lee. The A side comes with a track by Phran featuring Ivy Barkakati titled Impulse', old school flavored vocal house with a strong personality. This side is completed by an acidic remix by John Barera.
The B side is a track by Phran called Yuka', which samples Cuban voices over minimal analog rhythms and an acid bass line. The remix is by a well-known DJ from Madrid, TR, a newcomer producing incredible tracks.

For nearly a decade, Raíz and Subversive have distributed their vision of dance music on various labels including Historia y Violencia, Electric Deluxe, Construct Reform, Droid Recordings and their own imprint, VRV. Three years into the VRV project, the label heads have decided it is time to expand the roster and showcase artists on a similar plane, producers they know can speak to the sound. The chosen interpreters on this release include DJ Hyperactive, Santiago Salazar and Voiski.
Before Voiski's well-deserved attention from work on Dement3d, L.I.E.S., and Delsin, he and Subversive had a chance meeting in the bars of Paris in search of the same musical ideals. As they formed a lasting bond, it was a natural choice for Voiski to be tapped on the shoulder for remix duties on Subversive's 'Chainbreaker.' This epic take on the original showcases the similar musical visions that can be shared across oceans, where the music's place of origin is less important than the destination it delivers.Santiago Salazar brings his Latin/Midwest sound that's been found on labels such as UR, Rush Hour, H&V, and Ican. The Underground Resistance veteran invokes Detroit-inspired pads and dubby chords that speak techno's language of the future.DJ Hyperactive is a Chicago acid legend who found himself reinvigorated in the 2000s to take up the DJ/producer torch in conjunction with the Droid crew. His early support of the original 'Telomere' made him the perfect candidate for this remix, which tracks a straight forward, bass-grounded groove, met with the producer's own subtle swing sensibilities.

Liquid Society and Modernity are two tracks Inspired on Zygmunt Bauman's concept of ''Liquid Modernity'. Music adapted to changing times.

A staple album since its release in 1998, 'Heavenly' is as relevant today as it was twenty years ago. It turned heads everywhere, got the underground scene buzzing and set dance floors ablaze like an accomplished pyromaniac. Now, the album is back for another round of Techno-flavored goodness.
Revisited, tweaked and rearranged by Kevin Saunderson under his E-Dancer moniker, the album not only comes with additional material in addition to the 1998 originals, but is also poised to fuel a number of exclusive E-Dancer live shows. A collection of songs sure to keep the dance floor ablaze for decades, 'Heavenly' (Revisited) is set to make history once more.
