Chaval Records new release has a little Japanese touch. Powerful sounding techno beats from Victor Santana followed by a remix of one of Japan's techno legends - Ken Ishii.

Seth Troxler offers up the next installment in a lauded series of 12's on his no nonsense, club-focused imprint Play It Say It. With previous releases coming from Butch, The Mekanism and Steve Lawler, next in line is a new addition to the roster: Leonardo Gonnelli. Based in Florence, Leonardo Gonnelli has recently release on Defected and has also on Dirtybird, Snatch Off, Suara and Deeperfect. Throughout, the Italian native has consistently pedalled a sound heavily indebted to 90's Acid House and Detroit Techno and it's this in conjunction with a sound understanding of how to work a dancefloor that aligns him perfectly with the ethos of Play It Say It. 'Tonada' is a rich, hypnotic dance floor track propelled by clever sequencing that has it twisting and turning throughout. Arresting Spanish vocal passages punctuate progress while a circling sequence tumbles through the mix. The Dub version then omits the vocals in favour of distant whispers and caps off another solid addition to the Play It Say It series.

Elephant Moon proudly presents Russian producer Plantae (Artyom Zlobin).. His love for contemporary electronic music came a little later in life, with early influences coming from the worlds of old rock, jazz, hip-hop and older electronic recordings. He has a deep-seated love for nature, and counts art, design, books and film among his inspirations outside of music. On this EP he channels all his influences into four nuanced cuts, straight from his laboratory to John Dimas, the head scientist at Elephant Moon.

Garden Of God's Sodai imprint continues to unearth creative production talent from the label's native city of Vilnius with the third and latest artist from the city to feature on the label. Introducing Talassa Barda for his debut introducing three expertly crafted techno cuts.
Lead track Wolf has a howling big room sound effect and a dark Techno underbelly. Human with it's haunting like qualities develops into a peak time monster that is sure to thunder in vast spaces over the summer. Finally, Bleed is a rolling acid tinged track that fuses electro, breakbeat and techno for possibly the most interesting of all three.

DAISUKE KONDO from Okayama, Japan, releases a 12' vinyl Rongorongo.' Dynamic rhythm and dubby multi-layered house groove are equipped in side A 1 O-N-RA.' Side A 2 Turn' is a dance track that has tribal rhythm and cosmic scale. On the side B, two cool similar versions remixed by a young genius KEITA SANO, which feel 'raw,' are recorded. He is from Okayama as well, and has released his works from various labels around the world, such as Mister Saturday Night or Crue-L, now attracting a lot of attention. The low sound that sounds like it is boosting speakers feels comfortable. This is a special single produced by two youngsters from the same town.

Dreamy sound scapes and 909 claps dubbed out in cosmic space. From Dublin to Rotterdam taking in the spirit of Detroit and beyond this four tracker VA has the summer techno sound. Duplex have their own unique Detroit on techno on the A side where Costelloe gives us his own synth laden sound. The B side Mark du Mosch and DeFeKT give a more dubbed out approach. This vinyl only release will damage across dancefloors this summer.

It is with great pleasure that Desolat welcome the hugely-respected German producer and DJ Mathias Kaden to the Desolat family with his four track 'Tentakle EP' for the Desolat X series. 'Pitched' opens proceedings and is solely aimed at the dancefloor with its driving percussion, deep bass and pitched vocal snippets. Next up is 'Troija' which progresses with at a slower BPM, has a funkier and more exotic groove and is characterised by bouncing bass and tribal drums. 'Demence' takes the listener on a hypnotic journey with it's squelching acid-bassline and incessant echoing vocal. 'Propeller', which rounds off the EP, is another percussive groover designed to move a peak time club. The tracks builds throughout, with crisp hi-hats which drive the track's infectious rhythm. On top of the four tracks on offer, the 'Tentakle' EP also generously comes with two deadly FX Tools for all DJs to build into their set. Overall then Mathias Kaden's experience as a producer shines through on the 'Tentakle EP' as he delivers four killer tracks which are as expertly programmed as one would expect from the veteran producer, and designed to get the dance-floor moving.

Norwegian duo Ost & Kjex make a welcomed return to Crosstown Rebels with a heady club cover of Prince's Dirty Mind, with a stella remix by Seven Davis Jr. on the flip.
After label boss Damian Lazarus asked why they hadn't sent any new music lately, talented pair Ost & Kjex made it their mission to make a new release for Crosstown after 8 years.
Delivering the goods, Dirty Mind is a minimalistic bomb with pulsating beats and soaring synths that lead you deep into the night.
Ost & Kjex are responsible for the huge Crosstown releases How Not To Be A Biscuit and anthem Summertime with Jamie Jones. The duo has been releasing music for over a decade with two albums under their belt and notable releases on Solomun's Diynamic amongst others.
Best known for his releases on Classic and Ninja Tune, Seven Davis Jr. is s huge Prince fan and is a fitting remixer for this cover; he delivers a sleazy take on the original with a killer bassline.

For its second chapter XCPT Music delivers a collaboration EP by label heads Nothus and Delikwe. Original drumbreak centred with echoes of astral techno and pulsating UK vibes coming out with a footworking' warehouse remix by Detroit based MGUN and a no prisoner taking hardcore-dnb rework by DJ Plant Texture.

We were very happy to be asked by Connaisseur
Recordings if they could put out another album with our
music! Now it's all come together and they've asked us to
do our own press release for it and quite like the album,
we want to do it in our own way, personal and from the
heart. It's been a few years since our last Connaisseur album, and
a lot has happened since. We've built a new studio,
matured musically, acquired new gear, sold old gear, done a
lot of gigs, lost faith in music and regained it again.
The process of making The Loneliest Man In Space (this
album) was a genuinely pleasant experience, as we never
really set out to make an album at all. We didn't
conceptualize or have any grandiose plans, we simply
enjoyed ourselves in the studio.
Inspiration was running high, so we focused on making a lot
of music uninterrupted, rather than signing tracks, which
left us with quite a bulk of unsigned material. The idea to
release these tracks as an album came from our friend
Alex, at Connaisseur. We instantly jumped on the idea,
listened through the material, taking some tracks out and
composing a few new ones, to make it sit more together as
a whole. We tried to come up with a title that would ft
the feeling of the sum of tracks and settled on The
Loneliest Man In Space. As the album, to our ears, sounds a
little melancholic and a little spacey.
We sincerely hope that you enjoy the album either as a
listening experience, a dance experience or something in
between!

Peverelist does Peverelist on his 3rd album of Bristolian bass techno prisms, Tessellations; his first for the Livity Sound label, forming a typically stripped, acute treatise on the flux of dub, techno, D&B and ambient electronics that make up his soundsystem DNA.

Rooted in the '90s but curved and toned for 2017, Pev's sound is economically functional but not without a crucial sliver of emotive, sensual/textural pressure that bleeds thru in each cut. It's hardly hands-in-the-air material, yet his slow-burning vibes are arguably more satisfying and subtly impressive in the immediacy of the dance and for the long run.

Across a neatly plotted 48 minutes he systematically investigates and consolidates all stripes of the Peverelist sound in a way that builds on the experiments of 12000 Seconds [2014] whilst reprising and refining the heft of Jarvik Mindstate [2009].

The roiling modular tones of opener Burning Seas offers a rare, beat-less iteration of his sound before the session properly gets under way, vacillating the pressure between Under Clearing Skies dense electro-bass pulses and strobing dub chords, and the wide open lushness of Still Early, then twisting into the latinate shimmy of Sheer Chance Matters and the spiralling trills of Wireframes, which sounds almost like Plastikman meets Unique 3.

Further Inland brings a lot of originality and feeling with a misty-eyed mesh of airy Detroit/Berlin arpeggios and serpentine house swang, cooling down into the tribalism patterns of Brinks and Limits and closing on another rare, beat-less vision, Plateau from which to survey his rolling topography and then dive back in again.

BergWacht Records shows up with its third release "Trends EP". For this project, the young imprint invite someone who is a real good producer for the worldwide
Techno scene and part of the Cologne underground family as well: Till Krüger , who started his career 2010 with the
well-known and -featured "Wrong Shirt EP" on 200 Recordsand is an important exclusive part of WIR networks international artist rosterby now. He currently gets
attention for his "Motor City EP" and "Full Support EP". As you see, BergWacht's family story goes on.
Title track "Trends" on A-Side starts with a strong and to-the-point kick that directly puts this track on the floor. Soon thoughtful, melodic patterns pour into this clear
announcement before the pumping subbass synth with a special impulsive flow is added. Later on, fussy and dreamy
heights bring the whole thing to an atmospheric turning point. This arrangement is a perfect dancing of peaktime bass elements with flying tender sounds.
"Skew"again makes short work at the beginning: An irresistible, magnetic kick is accompanied by a groovy and funky sample, while in the background a deep melody gets
started to be built up as the harmonic base. Bit by bit, the track is brought forward by several percussive parts, melancholic, heart-touching sounds and well-timed breaks.
Another ecstatic tune to kill the crowd!
Second track on B-Side, Good N808, truly lives up to its name. Deeper than the two ancestors, it also satisfies every needs with Till Krüger's unique happening of drifting kicks,
forward-pressing drumsets, catchy melodies and lovely harmonics.

Illusion Recordings off shoot label INNERCIRCLE is back for its fourth edition with French house wizard Andrade stepping up for his debut EP with the Illusion crew. Andrade featured a remix on INC003 on James Barnsley's huge 'Spellbinder EP' and after delivering the goods Illusion were keen for him to flex his musical muscles across a full EP.
Andrade has been on a rich vein of form recently releasing on Delano Smiths Mixmode label, One Records and Dessous to widespread acclaim, cementing his standing as one of the most talented house producers around.
The EP opens with 'Audio Montage' which takes the listener on a summer trip using lush pads and dreamy hooks to create a laid back montage of sounds which soothes the soul and takes your head to sunnier climes.
The track gets the full rework treatment from Nail who strips back the groove and toughens up the beats to create a complimentary heads down vibe to the original, in that indisputable Nail style.
The B-side kicks off with 'Promise' which is classic Andrade, interweaving dreamy hypnotic vocals and keys around loose, floaty beats over an insatiable groove delivering on his 'Promise' like only he can.
They say good things come to those who wait, well in this case its 'Bad Things' as Andrade finishes his EP with another gem.
This time the groove is slung low and the claps, snares and hats are primed for the peak time and late hours when you feel like bat things are going to happen, concluding a classy house EP of the highest quality and showing why Andrade is a true house sorcerer of real worth.

Fresh off the back of his debut as Cucumb45, Bjarki presents another outstanding release. 'Slysó EP5 Cyclops í poka' is a 5-track, vinyl only EP on bbbbbb records, the label he runs alongside Johnny Chrome Silver.
Whilst the recent 'Something Weirdcore' challenged our understanding of genre, the latest release takes things further, playing with our perception of acousticspace.
Immersive textures are introduced without warning, just as quickly as they are withdrawn, never to be heard again. From the nostalgic harmonies of 'Cyxlobblobs5' to the unnerving glitches of the title track, high velocity drums of 'Aqua Elba' and mangled juke patterns of 'CATpitchd5', the EP darts its way through a range of new territories without hesitation.
Never one to conform, Cucumb45 rejects familiar structures, rapidly jumping between ideas whilst manipulating the physical properties of his sound.

This November sees Romania's IULY.B release 'Observatory' EP on Visionquest, featuring three expansive originals.
Following an impressive run of EPs on Moral Fiber, Bouq, Claque Musique, Memoria Recordings and Vatos Locos, Romanian artist IULY.B has impressed a number of electronic music's figureheads and is on a meteoric rise up the ranks of late, his next project leads him to team up with Visionquest for his latest offering here.
Ryan Crosson, Lee Curtiss and Shaun Reeves's renowned Visionquest imprint has been turning heads since its formation in 2011. The label's wide-ranging brand of ambitious techno and house has seen recent releases featuring the likes of Vlad Caia, Wareika, Egal 3 and Luke Hess. The trio's extensive experience from the depths of the club alongside hefty production credits has set the label up to provide a fresh platform for IULY.B's new record.
'Galaxy Rider' gets the EP underway with visceral soundscapes that unfold to reveal driving rhythms dressed with synths directed towards the celestial. Up next is 'Mountain Lights', full of 909s and rich textures, which set a darker tone. Then, 'Wanderer' concludes the 'Observatory' EP with fluid pads, intricate percussion and a swelling bass line that draws from a nuanced sound palate to create an immersive listening experience.

Repress! Take a long and wistful stare out of routine's window. Beyond the urban sprawl and endless nine-to-fve tape loop,
pass the mind's monotonous prattling and humdrum hum of breadwinning, losing and general existing, somewhere
out there burns a summer eternal, with all its romances still in tact. A place full of sweaty nights and protracted lazy
days where the breeze teases with salty lips, and the sun leaves its freckled kiss on basking knees and cheeks. This is
where everything happened just so, where bittersweet memories were made and mistakes frst revealed their lessons.

Over the last few years Oliver Schories has been refning a warm and delicate style of crossover house and techno,
accruing a potent collection of impassioned dance material for labels such as Kollektiv Turmstrasse's Musik Gewinnt
Freunde, Ostwind and Parquet Recordings. On 'Herzensangelegenheit', his debut album delivered back in March last
year, Schories struck a balance between poignant pop and deeply groovy club work through a melange of soulful
vocals, melodic arrangements and engrossing organic rhythms that once more imbue 'Exit', it's serene and effortlessly
danceable follow up.

After a well-received debut record on fellow Leipzig imprint KANN (»Route«, 2015), »Tent Tracks« marks Polo's second artist EP and his rst one for Holger. Here he further expands the hypnotic qualities of his productions and yet always remains in the blurry zone between Techno and House. Based on rather loopy grooves, his sound is moving as well as medi- tative - it's extremely physical and remarkably spiritual at the same time. Music to dance and lose your mind to. In all that it's essentially Polo - one of Leipzig's most established DJs for almost two decades, rock solid and ever reliable.

It's not easy making jams that really work the crowd just as well in Bristol as in Berlin. Nor any other city for that matter. It's those crossover artists that really stand out for us with tunes that do so much more than just ride the wave of what's hot. Enter The Organ Grinder and his sick 3track EP for Heist. 'How did I get here", the A1 track, might sound like something you'd ask yourself when you realize you're in the wrong place at the wrong time, but for us, this track is everything but that. This track has the most gritty and rolling percussion we've heard in a long time, a looped key with a hint of sleazy techno and some subs that will easily blow your grandma's porcelain to pieces. Add some odd FM frequency noises and you've got yourself a killer tune. Changes all the time takes a more drawn back approach, aptly characterized in the vox: 'repetition, with tiny changes all the time.' A set of carefully placed stabs. pads and strings along with a great arrangement that keeps you wanting more of that warm but rough groove. The Valley of doom takes you on a journey through the whole B-side with a stripped down, almost dubby techno vibe, nicely countered with The OG's signature slamming and gritty percussion. Albert Oehlen feat. Wolfgang Voigt massive. 180g vinyl
Wendy Gondeln is here to introduce and spread the dance style called Fracking.

Gondeln, also known as the German painter Albert Oehlen and longtime Red Crayola member, recently laid out the aspects of Fracking in his studio in Düsseldorf.

Realising that one thing was missing, he asked Wolfgang Voigt to provide him with two plain Gabber bass drum canvases. Wendy, a great connaisseur of this ancient form of techno, considered the offerings from the unheralded prince of the German bass drum so precious that he drove to Cologne to pick them up personally. He managed to take the delights home safely, painted over them with his bow as if it was a brush and thus completed his vision of Fracking.

Wolfgang on the other hand, couldn't stop Fracking after Wendy's visit, which resulted not only in his first Fracking track, but in his first three. Included here in the form of a Fracking triptych.

When Magazine (Jens-Uwe Beyer, Crato, Barnt) heard of this new thing called Fracking, they had to start Fracking too. Of course. Not long before this text was written, these Frackings were brought back to Düsseldorf and tested towards the end of a frenzied set at the Salon Des Amateurs. And guess what people started as soon as the bow hit the violin...
... right: FRACKING!

Abstraxion returns to his own Biologic Records to release this impressive revisited album - giving Tuff City Kids, Kasper Bjørke, Vessels, Clarian, Conforce, Mattheis, Ripperton, INIT, Eduardo De La Calle, Cleveland the freedom to have their own take on tracks from Abstraxion's 'She Thought She Would Last Forever' LP released in October 2016. Ripperton's first mark on Spazieren is one of meticulous sound design and textures complemented by a poignant vocal that provides a wicked ambience. His second offering is rapt around a warm bassline with orderly percussive stabs. Init's remix has been crafted with precision - an unhurried and mysterious track that builds and anticipates smoothly due to the precise instrumentation and adept reverb that's been applied on the vocal. Bxentric ends the year with a second release 'Patch Valley' on his newly launched label Nanda Records, continuing on from the 'Chrome' EP released in July this year. Coming from a DJ background and having had successful releases on esteemed labels Eskimo Recordings and Glasgow Underground, Bxentric is now focussing on his production with an eye on the underground. More releases are in the pipeline from him on Nanda Records.

A lot has happened since Eats Everything made his debut back in 2011... He tours the world relentlessly, has a BBC Radio 1 residency, runs his own label, and has racked up countless awards and accolades.
Considering his last Dirtybird appearance was on our tenth-anniversary compilation years back - and because Eats is one of our dearest players - we're thrilled to welcome him back with his "Clash Of The Tight-Uns" EP.
He brought a friend along with him this time, fellow UK producer Lord Leopard, and together they crafted two singles for us. "Song For" & "War Rhythm". The former perfectly captures the essence of Eats personality - fun, playful and full of life, while Lord's influence is heard on the latter: a darker, blitering techno track.

The colors are stunning. In a single view, I see looking out at the edge of the earth, all the colors of the prism. Red at the horizon, blends to orange and yellow, followed by a thin white line, then light blue, gradually turning to dark blue, then black as the vastness of space engulfs the surroundings. As I looked upon our home rock, I saw many natural features. I witnessed a large river meandering slowly along for miles, passing from one country to another without stopping or hesitation. I also saw huge forests, extending along & across several borders as if these divides didn't exist. I watched the extent of one ocean touch the shores of separate continents; then suddenly, a profound thought came over me as I looked down on all this....

Poker Flat Classics continues its highly promising series with a huge pair of reworks of a seminal Poker Flat track. Martin Landsky's 1000 Miles -originally released in 2006, rightfully takes the stage in the second instalment - receiving blistering remixes from two true masters. Laurent Garnier's incredible career barely needs commenting on; suffice to say he brings his trademark, tough and epic sound to the forefront here. Pushing 1000 Miles into yet more mind-bending shapes, the Frenchman injects the original with a new sense of urgency. Welding a fractured synth melody around Landsky's big room hook, the results are a pure techno moment - sure to cause a stampede to the booth at most discerning clubs. Holland's Gerd, responsible for some recent incendiary dancefloor burners of his own, also drops another bomb here. Under his Geeeman persona, Gerd, twists 1000 Miles into a trippy, euphoric monster - a late night house detonation for the heads and a fitting tribute to Landsky's modern classic.
