Following on from his R&S debut ' 55 5's, a 10 track mind-bending beat tape that bristled with promise and originality, Sporting Life AKA Eric Adiele returns to the label for a trio of EPs titled 'Slam Dunk'. Comprised of ear-popping instrumentals and guest vocalists and even a range of apparel, 'Slam Dunk' sees Adiele drawing on his love for Takehiko Inoue's massively popular manga series of the same name, and the stupendous grace, power and agility of the storied basketball greats. The aforementioned guests are drawn from Sport's friends and contemporaries including Ratking's Wiki, Devonte Hynes, Evy Jane and Novelist

André Hommen and Gerd Janson have remixed Tensnake's 'The Walk / Keep On Talking'. Forthcoming on Tensnake's own label True Romance, TREP010 'The Walk / Keep on Talking' Remixes will be available on both digital and vinyl from the 14th December. It's arguably the label's biggest remix package since Duke Dumont and Ewan Pearson remixed 'Love Sublime'. The Pete Tong approved André Hommen - also the creative producer and label manager of Dennis Ferrer's Objektivity imprint - has remixed 'The Walk' on the A-side. A deep, minimalistic beat drives his remix and a smart breakdown introduces the melody from Tensnake's original, pushing all the original elements to higher heights. 'Running Back' label boss Gerd Janson's 'Keep On Talking' RAW mix is set against powerful drums and acid-tinged synths, with a piano-led breakdown echoing the original melody. The Panorama Bar resident and celebrated producer delivers a unique cut formed of several retro influences to provide a cool new twist on Tensnake's upbeat original. The vinyl release also include's Gerd's beats-only version in the 'Gerd Janson RAW beats mix".

Tulipe Starts a New Project With Bloom Series Vol1, a diverse mixture of deep House sound where you can find your choice. The vinyl contains 4 original mix's made exclusively by: Larry Peters & Lucio Spain, Daniele Kama & Simone Burrini and two other producers in the way of tulip Alex Grandy and finally Alessio Caforio.

Borai returns to helm Tasteful Nudes' third release, "Last Time Out," demonstrating his techno chops in two different ways. The title track is all techno muscle, banging out a gigantic piano riff to match the slamming percussion and hypnotic undercurrents. "Midnight Run" imagines a race through a pitch black city, layering stark pads and sparkling riffs atop its gas-guzzling bass line. Both whip the dance floor into shape.

At 12:22 hrs on July 19th 2016, the manned spacecraft 10,000 Suns sent a distress signal from the inner edge of Earth's atmosphere. Communication with the shuttle was lost shortly afterwards.Fragments of the ship have been recovered on the west coast of Scotland, but pilot Bryan Kessler of Cologne is currently missing in action.Black box recordings have been retrieved and will be archived to regulation standard vinyl and digital audio encapsulations.

Opening with a distorted sort-of-squished-marimba sounding synth which puts you somewhere hot, tropical & psychedelic - not sure if I'm thinking Sahara or Amazon here - Boom Miami is a slow electro-dub workout, whilst the Version takes a more minimal tech approach. Cesco Chavo on the flip feels much colder, like a really expansive take on Skweee. The EP closes with a Mike M remix of Cesco Chavo, strongly recalling early Autechre & other 90s Warpesque artists.' - Generation Bass

Early May will see Mihai Popoviciu return with his second long player in the shape of the
'Home' LP on Bondage music, comprising twelve original compositions from the Romanian artist.

Mihai Popoviciu : "The album's called "home" because it is inspired by my experiences from my home city Sibiu in Romania. Home is also the place where the album was produced, in my stripped down studio. It is where I always return to rest and chill after touring the world and the place where I feel most safe and comfortable. The artwork shows an image of the airport lane in Sibiu with surrounding hills and mountains in the back. It is a metaphoric "gate" to both leave and return home."

Romania's Mihai Popoviciu has carved out quite the career over the past decade releasing material through the likes of Highgrade, Hudd Traxx, Poker Flat and Fear of Flying. Here though we see him deliver his second full-length album and return to Bondage Music following a single on the label back in
2013.

Across the project Mihai delivers his signature dance floor focused, stripped back style with records like
'ACK', 'Sandstone Folder' and 'Tentacle Operated' showcasing the hypnotic and percussive style
Popoviciu executes so well. The project also drifts into smooth dubby realms via compositions like
'Cannon Poets' and 'Sunshine' while the likes of 'Triumph' and 'Music 999' radiantly display Mihai's proficient production abilities as he wanders into a brighter more house centric sound.

All in all Mihai Popoviciu turns in a coherent long player whilst exploring a broad range of styles, 'Focus and 'Havana' lay down a groove-led feel with subtle modulations and an unfaltering structure, while
'Data On Data', 'Paranoia' and 'Hypnosia' tip the focus over to dark and brooding territories with murky synth pads and chuggy low end tones. Once again Popoviciu has proven himself to be one of Romania's finest electronic music exports.

Renowned house and techno producer Mr. G joins the No Idea's Original roster with four typically powerful house cuts this January. Electrica Salsa - Revisited 30 years later - remixes by Roman Flügel and Henrik Schwarz France, Italy, Austria, Germany - quite precisely thirty years ago, one electronic track turned the European music charts upside down: Electrica Salsa' by the Frankfurt project OFF - a collective producing their tracks at Master Music Studio. The founders of Organisation For Fun' were no underdogs: Michael Münzing and Luca Anzilotti would go on as duo SNAP! And write global hits like The Power' or Rhythm Is A Dancer", writing pop history. And the third member of OFF was then 21-year-old Sven Väth, today one the most notorious international DJs. Michael and Luca were the masters of equipment, responsible for the mixing desk and the recording tape we used to make the master tapes. I was the one providing song ideas, grooves and bringing a good mood to the studio.

OMNI A.M. came into existence from the disparate musical tastes of Adam Collins and Marky Star during the strict 90s Chicago house scene. Making use of a wider palette of sounds and rhythms, the two formed an act around an eclectic live PA and their unique vision of unpredictable house music.With Resident Advisor calling it "as good as house music can possibly get", "Beat Dis" is a breakbeat salute to house music and was featured on Fabric Records' Tyrant 2 by Craig Richards + Lee Burridge."Dangerous" is a minimal tech classic with OMNI A.M.'s signature rule-breaking style. Originally released on Swag, the song deepened the group's long relationship with the South London record shop and its crew.Presented now for the first time with updated masters, this release is for fans requesting these rare songs, and also for a newer generation who are eager for their own copies.

SANTONIO ECHOLS RELEASES HIS FIRST VINYL EP ON CHAPTER TWO RECORDINGS
Santonio Echols is part of the first wave of producers out of Detroit. His sound is a combination of Techno to Deep House, and fans have been patiently awaiting this projects release. He has teamed up with legendary Orlando Voorn and Moire Patterns to create Vol. 1 on Chapter Two Recordings. For the vinyl release Side A will have the first track Back 2 Basics featuring Mike Anderson. It is a special remix by Clemens Neufeld produced by Santonio Echols. The second track will be Walk Away solely produced and mixed by Santonio Echols. Side B will feature two tracks Get Up produced by Orlando Voorn, and Jun produced by Moire Patterns. This Vinyl EP will be available this month.
Santonio started his career under the group Reese & Santonio along with Kevin Saunderson. They produced hits entitled: The Sound, How to play our music, Force Field, Bounce your body to the Box, Self-Evidence, Structure, and many others recording under the record label KMS Records/ Kool Kat Records and London Records. Once separating from the group, he moved forward and started his own imprint: Cyren Records, D Records, and Chapter Two recordings. Santonio continues to produce and record until this day.

'On Line': a collaborative album in parts, focused on themes of repetition, poly-metrics, transformation and abstraction. Volume 1 features contributions from Livity Sound protégé, Simo Cell, Berceuse Heroique regular, Don't DJ, and Wisdom Teeth label head, K-LONE. All of the tracks were written specifically for the project and in tandem, and all are connected by a constant pulse and communal headspace. The record opens with Simo Cell's 'Symmetry': a slow crescendo of whirring pads, melodic percs and dotted rhythms, all underpinned by thick slabs of sub-bass that, with each heavy hit, seem to collapse the track's atmosphere down and in on itself. Next, Don't DJ follows with the oblique, discordant chug of 'Übergang Zur Metrotram'. As with all of Florian's works, the track pulses with an organic, animal quality that completely belies its mechanical origins. Again, the track's space is filled with drifting pads and clanging chimes - but this time the atmosphere is close, discordant and chokingly dense. Last up, K-LONE clears the air with 'Woniso'. The track grows slowly out of a series of beautiful harmonic counterpoints - morphing patterns that come and go in the mix to reveal their individual colours and contours.

Tasteful Nudes is honored to host the "Smalltown Blues EP" by Christian Beisswenger, whose music as CB Funk, Arto Mwabme, and The Citizen's Band has been hugely influential on the label's sound. The EP's four tracks showcase four compelling facets of The Citizen's Band sound: the ethereal stomp of the title track; "Disrupted"'s livewire techno synthesis; the modular adventures of "Eddy's Theme"; and a dark, mischievous Italo workout on "Freefall."

Aus Music bring a summer of firsts to a close as they follow up records from the newly collared Recloose, Trevino and Paul Woolford with another new addition to the team: Tom Trago. The Rush Hour regular joins the ranks with 'Being Broke' - a bright and groovy four-track aimed straight at the dance floor of this season's closing festivals. The A side offers up an original and dub version of the title track - a bumping House groove built with playful vocal samples and nifty synth lines. On the flip are two version of 'Good Lies' - the first rolling out over its elongated duration with sharp, galloping hats and free-flowing Rhodes notes. Tension begins to develop as the track steadily snowballs gathering vocal snips and a menacing bass line while the 'Good Christian Edit' offers up a lighter, more early-doors affair bringing a nicely rounded package to a close.

While 'Teaser', which Gardens Of God played during his Back to Back with B.Traits on BBC Radio 1 recently is contrastingly unrelenting. The m elody evolves into a monster', he says of the record, which can be heard in the metal snares and enchanting flute. On title track 'Ace Of Space' Nolder wants you to imagine stars passing by in their intergalactic travels (whilst the drops) are like a return from an uncharted nebula'. This is an EP based on big melodies and endless spaces, and a worthy fit for the burgeoning label.
Few Nolder has been creating music for over a decade with a steady succession of releases on Ghostly International, Planet MU, Connaisseur Recordings and Needwant Recordings.

INC. TUFF CITY KIDZ REMIX!

The first lady of underground music Hannah Holland makes her debut on Crosstown Rebels with Fade To Me featuring her long standing collaborator, friend and fellow Londoner, Josh Caffe. Cult favourites Tuff City Kids aka Gerd Janson & Philip Lauer step up with a remix and dub to complete this stellar collection.
Having met on the dancefloor at one of Damian Lazarus's parties in the early 00's, Holland and Caffe bring their signature sound, which they describe as 'sleazy as hell!' With a career in underground dance music spanning over a decade, Holland is a lady who understands what works. With her experience and Caffe's vocals, Fade To Me is for those who long to be absorbed in the music.
German duo Tuff City Kids provide a tight remix that ups the tempo and twists the sound into their own, and conclude the EP with a sublime dub version. Having previously remixed Azari & III, Avalon Emerson, Sven Väth and Scuba to name a few this is a duo that are revered by their peers.
DJ, producer and founder of the labels Batty Bass and Native City, Hannah Holland is a solid figure within the underground dance scene. Earning her stripes through early London residencies at Trailer Trash and Dalston Superstore, she has since toured the world, had a monthly show on NTS and released on Nervous Records, Get Up Recordings and Classic among others.
Josh Caffe is an assured figure within the scene, having been a vocalist for numerous house and techno releases, DJ'ed at some of the biggest festivals, resident and founder of Night Sheen whilst also producing his own music.

Prolific doesn't begin to describe Japan's Keita Sano, who has come seemingly out of nowhere to become one of the most unique new voices in electronic music thanks to a wildly eclectic clutch of releases for much-hyped labels like 1080p, Joakim's Crowdspacer, Mister Saturday
Night, Spring Theory, Discos Capablanca and more. Building on that buzz, Sano is unleashing still more head-twisting takes on house and techno via New York's Most Excellent Unlimited.

Label boss Paul Raffaele has found a kindred spirit in Sano. Their shared love of classic dance music and refusal to let genre or convention define their work makes MXU a natural home for the Sunset EP,' coming as it does on the heels of the category-smashing Oyama Edit' 12' and a 7' of drum track edits by disco king Danny Krivit. Diverse and unafraid to upend expectation, its hard to imagine a party where at least one of these jams wouldn't set things off.

The title track mixes discoid guitars with lush pads and a echoing handclaps, anchored by a deep, chugging bass line. It's the kind of track that's begging for a dance floor building towards hands-in- the-air release. Chango' shows off Sano's rhythmic proficiency and fondness for killer samples, tweaking the raved-out formula of Onion Slice' for deeper dance floors.

The drum attack continues on Nothing For Nothing' which pairs a massive batucada groove with ecstatic synths, whistles and afro-inflected strings carrying the melodic weight. Sano closes out the proceedings with a deft rendition of the sort of fuzzed out techno that's coming in waves on labels like Lobster Theremin. Changing the mood dramatically, Daze' substitutes a storming distorted kick for the sampled drums that came before, layering fuzzed out claps, martial snare patters, spaced- out cymbals, and miasmic synths that strobe like a rescue beacon on a dance floor flooded with smoke.

Roman Flügel and Andrew Weatherall supply two outstanding remixes of Phil Kieran recent album 'Blinded By The Sun', which David Holmes claimed is 'one of the best electronic dance inspired records in recent times.'
Mixmag described Phil Kieran as 'one of those producers that impresses with every release' so it comes as no surprise that two music heavyweights have jumped on board for remix duty. Kieran accounts Flügel and Weatherall to both having a heavy influence on his career. German DJ and producer Roman Flügel is easily one of the most revered names in the dance music spectrum. His take on 'No Life' is a masterclass in production. Flügel has created a track that is powerful whilst also superbly intricate. Flügel holds over twenty years of experience, extensively releasing on a number of labels whilst also co-founding Ongaku, Klang and Playhouse Recordings.
UK born DJ and producer maestro Andrew Weatherall remixes 'Finds Love' and reminds the listener of how beautiful electronic music can be. Combining cosmic layers with the ethereal vocal, this is a lesson in what a remix means. Weatherall has been experimenting with techno since the 90s, and well regarded as one of the world's most influential DJs.
Kieran created a ten track narrative in 'Blinded By The Sun', inspired by his experiences in the industry. It was met with high acclaim globally and this remix package further imprints his vision on pioneering imprint Hot Creations.

UTTU bring in the new year with Reality Check's debut EP for the label - 4 incredible spazzed out tech houz jamz for the deeper listener!

Elegant, melancholic, sometimes menacing, with smoldering piano melodies, desolately whistling organs, and a jaunty jaw's harp loop; kissed by the golden Californian sun, or shrouded in gloomy, dreary fog: Sophia Kennedy is currently the most versatile composer in German pop music - not to mention the greatest singer. Her debut album "Sophia Kennedy" reveals her as a dramatic romanti-cist and distanced diseuse, as a deft lyricist and master of melody. In her eleven songs, she travels from doo-wop to dubstep, from classic crooning to breathless R'n'B, from Frank Sinatra to Beyoncé. Her talent for songwriting is deeply rooted in history, yet it seeks nothing but the present: both historically versed and timelessly beautiful at the same time. All tracks have been produced by Sophia Kennedy and Mense Reents (who is known as being a member of Die Vögel, Egoexpress, Die Goldenen Zitronen).

'Different Shapes & Sizes' is a new, 3 part series of EPs from Berlin resident Spencer Parker forthcoming on his Work Them Records imprint over the next few months.

Conceived as a neat way of showcasing Parker's love for different shades of house and techno, 'Different Shapes & Sizes' takes a walk through the Rekids artist's love for the subtle differences in the genres he tends to focus on most in his sets.

London-born Parker has been in fine fettle this past few years with his It's Not Over project riding high while Work Them Records has been lauded for tracks and remixes from the likes of Radio Slave, Rodhad, Pittsburgh Track Authority,
Young Male and Dan Beaumont.

After a hiatus of more than ten years, one of house music's most essential and influential labels is back in the game. That label is UMM, originally from Naples in Italy, which is now re-launching with a fine EP from Milan based producer and DJ, Ten Words.
UMM, which stands for Underground Music Movement, is a label which defined a unique style of house music in the 90's. Relying heavily on a fresh underground Italian sound that it cooked up with some key artists, it was the first label to do so thanks to working closely with the likes of Visnadi and Daft Punk, Fathers of Sound and Francesco Farfa, Glenn Underground and MAW, and Todd Terry and Roger Sanchez amongst many others. Now it is back where it belongs, unearthing fresh new talents and directing the global dance music agenda with each exciting new release. Behind the relaunch is Media Records, the most successful dance label in Italy since the '80s, which is headed up by long time music producer Gianfranco Bortolotti, who himself has put out more than 150 gold certified singles and albums and who will also re-launch the BXR, Heartbeat and Underground imprints in 2017.First out of the blocks for this great new chapter is an EP from Ten Words, who hails from a family of musicians and also has formal skills on the piano. His early releases gained strong support from legends like Sanchez, with further releases coming on labels like Black Hole. DJs like Loco Dice, Paco Osuna and Claude von Stroke often reach for his tunes, and his last release climbed high into the Top 20 of the Beatport Techno Chart. "I make music with passion and without preconceptions of genre and style' says the man himself, and he really proves that here.

Up first, Eighteen featuring Ghost Wars is a broody house track that is deep and seductive. Rubbery drums and icy hi hats all get cut through by big frazzled synths and there is plenty of spooky atmosphere in the grooves. Satellite is another standout track, this time going more direct and physical with driving drums and spanned synths whipping about up top. Epic and elegant it is followed by a 10WS remix of Eighteen that is rock solid and raw and designed for a big warehouse with its solid kicks and molten melodies. Last of all, the same cut gets reworked by End to End and comes out as a hypnotic and heady roller that burrows deep into the night.
This is a triumphant return to the scene for UMM and one that suggests this legendary label is going to be just as essential second time around.

The Experience is a project by Andrea Benedetti and Eugenio Vatta released back in 1992. The track "Madcap" was realized during the period of the collaboration of the duo with Lory D'S Sounds Never Seen period and it's an experiment that mix techno, breakbeat and sample extravaganza at its best. The main track "Tubes" was a deep techno monster presented in two versions. One has been recoreded live with Andrea Benedetti managing drum machine and bass, Eugenio Vatta sampling, chords and effects and Paolo Dieni on percussion. The second one has more emphasis on melodies and effects with different equalizations and volumes concerning percussion and drum machine. We are moving forward with new sounds this summer, and are happy to shed some light on our '4Plae Blanc' project. This series is geared towards slightly lighter vibes, and 001 will really set the tone for what is to come.

Hailing from the city of Bucharest, Nice ' N Trick have been earning their stripes over the past couple of years, which includes having works on labels such as Mulen, Heisenberg, Arupa, Baile Musik, Tzinah and many more. Their track 'Adiacent' delivers the vibrant sounds we love, brought together with tight percussion and warm soundscapes.

Percival is also an analog head. This Detroit artist has bundles of musical knowledge and a love for many types of music. His track 'All Night' is a vocal orientated track with crisp hats and snares, and a pounding kick throughout - we love the mood this track set's at parties.

In the past few months, 4Plae founder ADMNTi and head honcho at Samani - F.eht, have formed a collective, FAT. Their remix of Percival's track sets a moodier vibe in comparison to the original, and wraps up the release nicely with evolving synths and techier sounds.
