Daydream 01 is the debut release of the Daydream imprint - a brand new label based in France and focused on forceful groovy house exclusively on wax. The imprint seeks to offer an intelligent and efficient vision of house music in order to provide perfect DJ cuts. This first EP delivers 4 original tracks produced by talents from France and Germany.
MJOG launches the various with "Be Forgotten", a beautiful journey balanced between deep synths and solid drums.
Then, with "Eleven", Porter presents a raw and dynamic cut where harsh sounds and hypnotic pads play together on a sustain rhythm.
On the flip, "Future" from Walker is all about dubby sounds, loud kick and deep bass, a very immersive homemade tune.
Finally, MJOG closes this first chapter with "Peace Is At Hand", a classy and strong house cut designed for dance

Niko Marks exists at a musical intersection where Stevie Wonder and electronic music collide. Born in Detroit and raised by a family of musicians and singers, Niko was taught chord progressions by his mother on the piano and learned the rest by ear. He took just one music class along the way. It wasn't long before Marks' genre-defying path — and ability to sing, write, produce and play — would link him up with the next wave of Detroit techno.
In the early 1990s, Marks was working under the same roof as underground luminaries like Juan Atkins, Eddie Fowlkes, 'Mad' Mike Banks and Jeff Mills. As Underground Resistance established its iconoclast status, Marks joined collaborative production team Members of the House. On Grand River Avenue in the shadow of Cass Technical High School — Detroit's de facto producer of legends like Donald Byrd, Dorothy Ashby and Ron Carter — Marks was helping produce the Motor City's latest musical exports all before he could legally rent a car. It was almost like a revived Motown for electronic and dance music,' recalls Marks. The freedom of electronic music or dance music — I began to really get into that. You're not reduced to a traditional song format. You're more free.'There's no denying, however, that the traditional background Marks hails from sets his prolific catalog apart from the pack. Marks manages to bend those chord progressions learned on his mother's piano to his will today, creating a bevy of soulful techno and house tracks in his wake for labels like U2X Productions Detroit and Carl Craig's Planet E label. Starting in 1999 with his Niko Marks & the City Boy Players' release with Fowlkes, Marks has released new music nearly every year. As a live performer, he's found himself doing stripped down DJ sets as well as bringing his body of work to life as a jazz trio. The trio gives people something more real,

This 200 copy, vinyl only release is the first on 10YEARS, a brand new and celebratory project between two long time friends, Per Hammar & Maya Lourenço aka Parallax Deep. Channeling their trippier and more hypnotic works, the label will start with a split, limited run 12 that marks ten years of friendship and then promises to develop into a great outlet for floor facing house and techno. Per Hammar goes first with the irresistible 'The Expedition For Mrs. Gustavsson', a deep and fluid house cut with lots of little imperfections, crackles and bubbles adding character to a slick and stripped back groove. Atmospheric and warm, soul infused and heady, it cannot fail to get connoisseurs on their toes. 'Parallax Deep' then offers a similarly rubbery and deep roller in 'Periscope.' This one is more electronic and minimal and finds the artist orchestrating myriad synthetic sounds into a bubbling track that is subtly curious and full of late night freakiness. - Support by Traumer, Nima Gorji, Bella Sarris, Brett Jacobs, iO Mulen, Truncate, Raresh etc

To follow up our star-studded Village Elders 001 compilation we needed something potent, so for our sixth release we're proud to announce the debut of Berlin veteran Franklin de Costa on Green Village. De Costa will be familiar to fans from his recent pair of collaborative EPs with DJ Spider on Killekill, and he boasts a longstanding alliance with Belgian deep techno and house headquarters Curle Recordings, amongst many other releases on prestigious labels. He begins in rugged territory with 'Derp Journal', the doubled-up kicks and pendulous bass stacking up with other nasty touches while retaining clarity. 'Bogart Space' shows off his attention to detail both in the rhythm and the sound design, slowly adding details to both for a deep, building dancefloor track. It's back to brutality for the title track, which takes the extra kicks from the first and the deep detailing of the second on a warped, synth-heavy detour into dementia. 'Flashmelo' keeps it all in the groove, the darker details winding around a distorted backbone for maximum impact on even the smallest swtich-ups. Characteristically strong and diverse for De Costa, we count him as a strong asset in our expanding Green Village crew.

Ever since John Talabot released his debut single 'My Old School' for Permanent Vacation in
2009 he has been on an ever-increasing rise as both a producer and a DJ - and as a talent
you simply cannot ignore.
If his debut introduced the world to his style, his follow-up 'Sunshine' was the track that made
people really sit up and take notice. Support and praise came in from the likes of James
Murphy, Âme and Jamie xx and the natural evolution of awareness was well on its way for the
native Catalan.

Once again, Raphaël Laredo slipped through the authorities fingers : he does not care about the rules anymore, he infringes the
standards and delivers us an EP beyond the correct and required limits ! The only indication, its address : the club -AKASHA-.
Rafaël Murillo is already there, armed with a bomb. Despite everything, Laredo is a believer, he knows all the good and the bad
theories. He insists on involving us, from the top, on the traces of the plot -CROP CIRCLES- supported by the strong foundations
of his brother, Gaffy. The Tech house spirit of Laredo glides between Paris and Barcelona. Eloïse Oddos totally seized it when she
designed the amazing record sleeve of CROP CIRCLES for SECONDE.

Techno veteran Jens "Lowtec" Kuhn drops the first release for new Malmo label BlundarFrom the loud tape hiss, spooky melodies and weirdo ambient dub intent of "Track 2", to the moody, early Autechre throb of Skam-ish closer "Track 4". Dancefloor-minded thrills come in the shape of hypnotic opener "Track 1" - all unsettling, one-note chords, restless rhythms and distant electronics - and the hard-to-pigeonhole madness of the schizophrenic "Track 3".

Kling Klong's 100. release can't be by no other than original founder Martin Eyerer. 10 years after starting his imprint Kling Klong he's more on top of the game than ever. Not only as dj and producer but also with his fabulous Riverside Studios in Berlin which give a home to as diverse artists as Booka Shade, Tobi Neumann, Florian Meindl, Pan-Pot, Stephan Hinz, Santé etc. And the original Stuttgarter even found the time to finalize his third studio album 'Struktur' to be released just before this summer 2015 including these three tracks. The massive and highly acclaimed 'Hey Hey' showcases the subtle voice of Ruede Hagelstein while 'Intimacy' goes hypnotic with the elfish voice of Princess Superstar. And 'Departed' just waits until the festival season kicks off to become the soundtrack of your sunrise 2015. Happy birthday!!

A new reissue is coming from Merv. Two old and lost tracks, dating from '95 and '98 will be reissued by Styrax in September. While DeepChord in America, or the Thule crew from Island have been inspired by the Basic Channel blueprint sound coming from Berlin, a small group of artists tempted to push their own interpretation. Full of energy, strongly cauterized in mind, wanted to get rediscovered. In the year 1995 'Melted Vein' arose. Hypnotized, slowly but full of strength it became back to the theme. Merv educed their own variation, their own soul. You can hear their further development in the track ' Dust', from 1998. Pads and melodies, from different galaxies, mixed with ascending chords, kept together with the 909. Two tracks, two epic tracks, the pure Merv magic! Both have been re- mastered at the traditionally Berlin Mastering Studios D&M.

When Moiré decided to call his second album No Future, he wasn't trying to make a political statement so much as state the obvious: If humanity keeps heading down the hateful path outlined by certain right-wing political figures and recent political events, we might as well hit the nearest self-destruct button.
It's not just about the West, either,' explains the London-based producer. It's the way the whole world thinks. It's almost like we're in this mad cycle. In a way, we have no choice—we either adapt to the situation or we're dead. That's it.Today's musicians are faced with a similar now-or-never situation: they can either experiment and evolve or get brushed aside by the Next Big Thing in an industry that's as flippant and fickle as it's ever been. Moiré welcomes this challenge with a record that's avant-garde and accessible, possessing a punk spirit without stealing its sound wholesale. No Future builds its story on the back of halogen-lit hooks and left-field dance loops instead, leaving a trail of breadcrumb-y beats for guest vocalists like MC DRS (a longtime collaborator of LTJ Bukem) and post-grime poet James Massiah. They both tackled the album's loose themes without being told about them beforehand. They simply got it. Immediately. For me, the idea of techno has always been new music,' says Moiré . Not reinventing the wheel necessarily, because everything's been done before. I just want to make and hear something new.Modeling his machine funk melodies after the sci-fi stories of Philip K. Dick is certainly a nice start, as it leads to songs that feel both futuristic and strangely human. Or as Moiré —a former architect with a deep interest in design—puts it, His books are like paintings of what's going to happen, they're always rooted in reality and current issues. No Future is about where we are as a society right now, too. It makes me think of four words: fear, hypocrisy, inequality, and lies. No Future also captures a fading sense of what makes our cities so special—a celebration of art itself, something that's been threatened by the rising cost of real estate and the steady closure of major clubs like Fabric and Plastic People. That explains why a smoke-clearing song like Lost You' is about more than just a mere relationship. It alludes to a complete lack of communication and the loss of, well, everything—our societies, our countries, our families, and our friends It's weird,' says Moiré. It feels like everything is disappearing in front of us, almost like someone is pulling the carpet from beneath our feet, and we can't do anything about it.

Chillin Music's, Rob Slac, gets down and dirty on his latest groove, Body Movzz. A driving bass line rumbles through layers of ethereal and chopped vocal samples that will have you sway to the bass and rock to the rhythm. Show him how your Body Movzz and nobody gets hurt!
Recently relocating to Berlin, Brett Johnson, is no stranger to making bodies move. With over 100 releases to his street cred, Johnson wriggles in and expands the vibe of Slac's original with a little wobbly swing of a funky tech house joint while maintaining the low end rumble. Better stretch those dancin' muscles or ya might break somethin'.
Returning to Chillin after his All Day EP', Oakland native, Nackt strips it down rugged and raw with a warbly, hollow bass line for his re-rub of Body Movvz. It's like break dancing in a bounce house - nobody get hurt!
Rounding out this release for the special vinyl edition is Chillin's top seller of 2014, Nikola Gala, with releases on Plastic City, Freerange and Noir Music, hits it hard with his rendition of Subtron & Markowicz's - Take U N The Back Room. Pound for pound, hands up, hands down, it's a floor frenzy, get down! Mmmm say YES to Gala and techno for an answer!

YPY is the work of Osaka based Koshiro Hino. Having recently released on labels such as Nous, his own label BirdFriend, and the legendary EM records Koshiro now presents the 7 track LP '2020' for Where To Now Records.
The LP leads with the slow building, off kilter title track '2020', where flurries of eastern horns skitter beneath evolving layers of wonked yet beautifully balanced percussive movements, coming off like a technoid homage to the fourth world works of Eno & Hassel. As is the case with much of Hino's music, as the piece develops it takes on heavier and heavier modes of experimentation and excitement - turbines whirr and fizz alongside layers and layers of percussion, constantly teetering on the edge of No-Wave breakdown whilst never losing sight of the rhythmic backbone, recouping from every moment of collapse with total grace.
Hino swings from this cacophony of rhythms on '2020' to the playful, straight-laced ghetto tech burn of 'Soup', using layer upon layer of low key jazzed melody and percussion to gather pace and momentum, showing another side of the YPY palette with a deep groove and melody indebted to the work of Carl Craig as Psyche/BFC and the like.
Hino creates a musical world that veers from the frantic to the sublime seamlessly and appears to ground his interest in the potential harmony of these two states - or more specifically, how the two can exist in a way which keeps heads down and bodies moving in a dancefloor capacity whilst challenging the listeners expectations at every turn. Whilst obviously this is not a new concept, it is Hino's own historic steeping in experimental drone, improvisation, and his work with his intense, hypnotic, minimalist psych outfit Goat which allow him to hold a unique position in this electronic realm.
Yusaku Shigeyasu (Juno Plus) further conveys this aura of Hino's work in a YPY feature piece for Juno Plus, writing - 'Intensity is a common thread that runs through all of Hino's sprawling productions. It isn't necessarily synonymous with a boisterous, forceful sound. He eschews conspicuous structures or overt arrangements and brings a sonic potential out of sober materials, creating deceptively stark pieces with a dramatic impact that capture and hold the attention from the off.' - Yusaku Shigeyasu / Juno Plus
Hino's more rockist influences are perhaps most pertinent on 'Ash' which embodies this improvisational and stark approach to rhythm. 'Soup' is a doomy, sludge hybrid of fizzing electronics and stoner swagger, owing as much to contemporary artists such as Earth and Om, as it does to the first wave of Japanese and German experimental psych of the early 70's. It's a piece which is unlike anything else on the record, a vital piece of the puzzle when understanding where Koshiro is coming from, yet leaving no clues as to where he is going.

Berlin-based Doc Sleep's debut EP on Bottom Forty is a record that pulls no punches and plays no tricks; it is instead a sophisticated, gorgeous array of minimal techno inspired by the darkest of dance floors. Doc Sleep's ear for sound and rhythm set the tone for your moments of eyes-shut dancing, giving you the chance to hang onto every subtle but flawlessly executed fragment of noise.
'First Solar' opens up with a contrasting blend of dark, rolling hills of bass and bright pads that quickly pick up a dangerous amount of momentum. The moment the track 'Between' pounds its first kick, you can't help but be immediately sucked in by Doc Sleep's ear for sophisticated, minimal, beautifully engineered sounds. Between is a track that stays on its groove while soft gorgeous pads pass over you like waves, it's the perfect time for patrons of a dingy basement dance floor to connect in the dark. Lastly, 'Ampere' is a track that lays out a solid techno soundscape that is mixed up at the listeners surprise with heavily reverb'd snare hits and brooding sweeps.
On the B side, two remixers bring Doc Sleep's EP into a different dimension. Bottom Forty label head Nark extracts the gorgeous pads and pulls them to the forefront of 'Between', starting with a long ethereal intro sure to stop and sway any dance floor before continuing into a grimy minimal 303 bass line as the subtle rubs to Doc Sleep's original sounds lend it an exasperated grinding element. The second remix from Bottom Forty artist Cid & Fancy takes 'Ampere' into a place of rhythmic organized chaos with synth stabs that shoot off like metal sparks.
We love La Fraicheur for her emotionally rooted and minimal grooves, and she doesn't dissapoint with her take on 'First Solar', a driving, linear rhythm with unexpected analog twists and turns and the most heated breakdown on the record that we've personally witnessed energize many Berlin dance floors into a dancing frenzy.

Last year's 'Romantic Thrills' album was testament to Niconé & Sascha Bramer's impressive knack for delicate melodies and soothing vocals, seamlessly woven into powerful house music thanks to the warm pulse of the kick drum. Here, on their new EP 'United Colors of Language', the duo delivers three stunning tracks to rival their previous output in both, romanticism and danceability. On the A1, the vocalist Narra once again lends her fabulous voice to an arrangement of harmonious guitar loops and euphoric build-ups. Much like 'Caje' before it, 'Rej Senhor' sets itself apart as an all-round secret weapon that will work in the club or at an open air, during peak-time and after-hour alike. A little more forward, 'Cold World' loops a fluidly rolling piano towards a break in which Niconé's own vocals bedazzle. Finally, the pair draws us into an Algerian lullaby in the form of 'Raoui', which combines the empathy and melancholy of ethnic folk music with a hands-in-the-air groove. With this standout EP Niconé & Sascha Bramer achieve what they set out to do - they prove that music is the most powerful language of all!

AAACID003 is the second EP from Amir Alexander's Richie Ratchet Moniker. The major difference in the work of Richie and his twin Brother Jack Ingoff is the clever use of vocals. Singlehandedly writing new chapter in the Acid House Manual with off kilter polyrhythms, odd time signatures, and unconventional tongue and cheek topics, Amir through his AAACID label continues to go from strength to strength as he seeks to refine and progress the artform of Acid Jack. Field tested, all 4 of these tracks have been putting in work world wide and moving dancefloors to a sweaty frenzy in the process.
Just an prolific artist expressing himself, having fun, and adding something unique to the culture. Modern Acid for forward thinking Underground Heads.

Originally inspired by the Elbee Bad question, 'Why not just dance through life' Matias Aguayo pursued the question leading him to this radical dancing Spirit, El Rudo del House: an imaginary creature who manifests speaking to you with a pitched-down voice and producing heavy house rhythms that are engineered to directly trigger the movement of different body parts (body mechanics). El Rudo teaches that you should confront every situation with dance, and apply this approach into your everyday life: When we dance we can become other beings, switch our species... Turn into little nervous, jittering muppets or clumsy giants.

Introducing Broken Dreams, a new series of white label releases on Rotterdam based Pinkman label. First up is Metropolis, who returns with four Wave, Electro and Body Music hybrids. A quartet of tracks that draw on Lapien's diverse catalogue, this is undoubtedly some of his darkest music to date. Acid, New Beat and Post-Punk influences bubble and churn throughout. Crisp beats crash, strings lament, vocals sigh and synth stabs squirm for an EP that refuses to conform to norms. A hoarse and harsh cry to open a new Pinkman chapter.

Championsound continue to blaze a trail, showcasing some of the hottest new talent to emerge from Ireland's vibrant music scene...
Following hot on the heels of the premiere release on Champion Sound in 2013 , next in line comes the work of prolific Northern Irish producer, T-Polar, whose previous releases on Acroplane, Saigon Recordings, Morris Audio, !Kaboogie Records and Rebirth garnered the support of everyone from Mary Anne Hobbs to 2562 to Boddika.
In keeping with his previous output and adding to what must surely be Ireland's deepest discography in electronic music (dating back to 2004), T-Polar (aka Gary Spence) releases Feetwork, an EP which hop-scotches genres, roughened up by the searing properties of hoover bass, teamed with tough, rolling kicks, nods to leftfield House and vintage rave, and peppered with skittering two-step grit.
The remix in the pack comes from the increasingly ubiquitous Unknown whose Youtube uploads and remixes have been setting the internet alight with speculation.
