Sheffield's Hopeworks has become an essential melting pot for the cultural and musical future of a city whose electronic heritage has surpassed its industrial one.
As creative director & resident DJ Lo Shea, returns to the vinyl arm of this warehouse institution with a blistering new EP
Expertly programmed modern sonics possessed by the spirit of 90's rave & the UK's characteristic Bass influence abound here.
From the syncopated and undulating 'A Way Through' to the straight up ravery of 'Mark X' on the A Side, to the hypnotic tribalism of 'Primitive Operations' we're looking at a crisply crafted modern Techno suite of the highest calibre.
Bristol's Hodge handles a weighty remix of B1, amping the atmospherics and rounding off an EP of precision club tools par excellence.

Stamp Records delve into the past for their next release, giving a new lease of life to one of Swayzak's least characteristic and most sought-after tracks. Swayzak are true heroes of the UK underground, having clocked numerous seminal releases in the late 90's and early 00's straddling the grey area between House and Techno. 'Disco Dub Plate Volume 2' - originally out in 2000 - was an obvious anomaly in the duo's discography, that has managed to forge a path of its own amongst a completely different crowd to Swayzak's usual disciples. One cut from that EP, 'Stronger Love', is a carefully arranged marriage between a certain pair of quintessential AOR darlings and THE soul voice of the 80's. Can we be more specific No can do...It shouldn't really work, but somehow it does! It's been caned by many a Balearic DJ over the years, including Mark Seven who included it in his mythical 'Originals' compilation, where it holds its ground amongst other Balearic heavyweights. As an added bonus for this 2016 edition we're treated to two brand new mixes !
Frank Agrario teases in bits of the original making for his chunkier version that is aimed squarely at the dancefloor, while Brun (1/2 of Swayzak) delivers a bang up-to-date dub that keeps its elements to the bare minimum, building into a deep hypnotic house chugger.

Hailing from Bucharest, Romania the Vinyl Speed Adjust duo have been rapidly on the rise as producers and DJ's over the past few years with a back catalogue boasting material on Pressure Traxx, Gilesku Records, Colours In Music and Visionquest where they return to here, as well accolade's from leading industry names such as Ricardo Villalobos, Raresh and Rhadoo.
Here we see the pair back on fine form for Visionquest following their 'Carpe Diem' EP on the label in 2015 and taking the lead is title track 'Retro' which sees things taken down a percussive led path via modulating pot drums, murky bass flutters and screeching atmospherics.
'Det Riot' follows and ups the energy levels with robust rhythms and stuttering vocal chops running with subtly unfolding arps, and further howling expansive swells hidden in the depths of the record before 'Stretch Souls' rounds things off, closing with tumbling organic percussion, soft pad sweeps and a rumbling low end drive.
Vinyl Speed Adjust's 'Retro' EP is out on Visionquest 21st October (Vinyl) and 4th November (Digital) 2016.

After the landmark twentieth instalment of our Watergate Mix Series we knew we had to secure an impressive successor to the throne. To preserve the standards set by our previous selectors, who have set the bar incredibly high, we've enlisted the genius of one of todays brightest stars to take the helm for Watergate Mix 21; the one and only, Culoe De Song. Hailing from the northern shores on South Africa's east coast, Culoe De Song has broken out internationally and paved an impressive path for himself over the last decade. From his first release on fellow South African export Black Coffee's 'Have Another One' compilation to his multiple anthems on the mighty Innervisions and renowned Japanese imprint Mule Musiq to his most recent long player 'Washa' on his own imprint De Song Music, Culoe has always celebrated his musical heritage and the sounds of home. By blending the fundamentals of modern House and Techno with the aesthetics of traditional African musicality, Culoe De Song has become one of a few pivotal figures in pushing the agenda for the 'Afro-House' movement to the international stage.

the lil louis classic in hugh new techno version

A veteran of the music industry, Dave Ellesmere is way past his hardcore drumming days. Harboring the accumulated skills with a multitude of instruments, his electronic productions are intricate and meticulous. His passion for Detroit and Chicago soundscapes is evident in his latest vinyl release for MixxRecords.

'Caught In A Moment' starts off the EP with a steady techno grip engulfing a serene melody interspersed with sharp and gritty accents.

The second track opens up with solemn piano progressions combined with high pitched synths, conjuring different spheres of the musical spectrum. Aptly entitled Universal Vibe', the track evokes a very diverse array of sounds layered on top of a dubby bassline.

The sub-bassy 'From Now On Only Good Things Will Happen' kicks off in a very introspective manner, developing into a dreamy yet dark journey filled with anxiety ridden chords and drum pads.

Label chief's Tony Rodriguez aka Brothers' Vibe is on duty for the 'Universal Vibe' remix. Percussion takes the main lead, giving the track a rolling pace. Stripping down a lot of the global elements but keeping some bell chords, Rodriguez's reinterpretation offers a tribal infused piece with a completely different mood that is just as contagious as the original.

special triple pack for all you Dekadent lovers out there - contains three classic releases

For the 5th installment in the PRRUKWHT series, Spanish hardware icon ''Eduardo De La Calle'' returns to Planet Rhythm with his ''Adept to the light EP''. ''TR3B Conspiracy'' serves as the opener which combines odd rhythmic arps and subtly placed drum sequences to make a somewhat uncanny atmosphere. On the B side we find ''Ranchor Will Cut The Mood'' which is a repetitive techno cut that should be useful for after hours. The Doubt Of The Unknown (B2) has a somewhat foreboding title. It's a FX heavy synth jam that uses oddball synthesis and nicely placed FX chains that evolve throughout

"D55 is the project of Violet and Photonz aka NEGENTROPY; DJs, producers and co-founders of Radio Quantica This real-life couple share their home studio and inspire one another to create music. Together they have created an universe that not only comprises their bright-eyed sonic adventures in dance music but also a love for the unknown, cosmic knowledge and the matters of the soul. They have realised that when they work together, they easily embrace an important piece of happiness-unlocking info: one should not taken oneself too seriously."

Mr. Neville Watson at the controls on RVRT012. Ultra-phat stunning EP.

Home Records is the musical output for Marcus Henriksson aka Nobody Home, Minilogue, Son Kite on which he writes:This vinyl is a monument for the discoveries in the search for the Self. Contemplating and exploring the questions; Who and what am I Where do I come from And what is this 'I' that we all are refering to These two musical pieces and the artwork is the outcome of these matters in mind. Mastered by Marcus 'Nobody Home". No limiting! No digital plugins!!! Little compression and some analogue EQ'ing to keep the original space and dynamics in the music.

So happy to finally host our favorite German producers on a solo on Materialism.
PIEMONT are here for a 2 tracker full of groove! TIP

Cadenza Music opens up its 2016 account with the debut single from Swiss producers, Rare Movement feat. Disco Channel. Cutting their teeth on the DJ circuit for many years, and playing alongside such esteemed jocks as Seth Troxler, Ricardo Villalobos (who mastered the audio on these tracks), Jamie Jones and Luciano (who ultimately signed this single to Cadenza), the guys have crafted a pair of tracks that sit right in the DJ sets of the aforementioned company. 'Rare 007' combines tension building synths and a wandering bassline, wrapped up tight in solid drum groove, its hypnotizing tones carving out a most useful club tool. On the flip side, 'Rare 011' digs deeper, with cinematic string sweeps over the sparse and bass heavy kick drum. Flashes of vocal refrains and micro percussion fly in and out of the arrangement as the melodic elements give this one a real sense of drama as the track blossoms into life. A very accomplished debut from the guys will no doubt provide a real 'dancefloor moment' in the right setting, and no surprise that Villalobos gave these tracks the audio master that they deserve.

Not many labels make it to release number fifteen, let alone year 15, but that's exactly the milestone the Moon
Harbour family is celebrating throughout 2015. Headed up by esteemed DJ, producer, remixer and
Circoloco/DC10 Ibiza resident Matthias Tanzmann and manager André Quaas, the Leipzig based label has lasted
so long on account of it having always moved ahead of the times. Celebrated for its diverse output from tech
house to minimal to deeper club sounds, the label's ever evolving roster of artists is like a who's who of the
contemporary scene.

As Matthias Tanzmann puts it looking back at the development of the label: 'I was still pretty young when we
started the label in 2000, so we have all grown up together for 15 years now. Moon Harbour is like my child. I am
happy many artists joined the family or became good friends and that the label has become a home for all of us.'
Next to core family members and label acts like Luna City Express, Sable Sheep, Marco Faraone, Sven Tasnadi,
Dan Drastic and the boss himself are new school talents and carefully A&Red artists like Adam Port, Re.You,
Ekkohaus, wAFF, Cuartero, Steve Lawler, DJ T., Chris Wood & Meat, Butch and Detlef.

The label has built up an exceptional canon of music that's lead to the release of no less than 100 EPs, five artist
albums and ten label compilations. It makes dance floors move hours and hours, but also sticks in the minds
much longer thanks to its real sense of invention and originality. This has been proven by big Moon Harbour hits
such as Sable Sheep's 'Upon Burning Skies', the summer hit of 2013, Santos' 'Hold Home', but also Matthias
Tanzmann's 'Bulldozer' and his remix of Marlow & Delhia's "Movin" back in 2006, which took Moon Harbour to
the next level in terms of international awareness.

Thanks to the reputation of the label, Moon Harbour label showcases are a solid addition to globally
acknowledged festivals and events such as the Miami Music Week, Sónar week in Barcelona, the Amsterdam
Dance Event and at various places in Ibiza, to name a few.

The monthly Moon Harbour Radio show, hosted by Dan Drastic, has meanwhile clocked up more than 60
episodes and is available as a podcast at iTunes and on Soundcloud and Play.fm, as well as being broadcasted
through various international radio stations such as Ibiza Sonica. It has established itself with fans as a reliable
source of new music and information from the Moon Harbour label and its artists.

To celebrate all this there will be a Moon Harbour tour around the world, which kicks off at the Sónar week in
Barcelona. Additionally there will be an anniversary compilation with exclusive tracks by Moon Harbour artists and
friends, as well as rereleases of the most successful tracks from the last 15 years.

It might have been around for 15 years then, but Moon Harbour and its ever evolving family still very much lead
from the front.

One of Mexico's most exciting artists, Hector, launches his new label VL with Vatos Locos Forever - on vinyl with 8 fresh cuts from all founding Vatos Locos crew members.

The label collaboration follows Hector's acclaimed Vatos Locos parties, which he launched at the 2015 BPM Festival, and have since toured hotspots like Off Sonar Barcelona and Club Der Visionaere Berlin.

The official VL label launch party will take place at the homecoming on the 17th January at the 2016 BPM Festival.

2015 has been one of Hector's busiest to date.
As well as a crazy touring schedule with appearances at major events worldwide, he has also shown consistency in the studio with a flow of releases and remixes for vinyl focused labels; Serkal, Moan, Overall Music, Spartacus and Mindblown.

That aside, his biggest achievement was undoubtedly conquering the residency at Marco Carola's Music On through the summer at Amnesia.

The debut vinyl release Vatos Locos Forever is spread over 2 vinyl with 8 tracks that perfectly present the versatility of this new wave of underground talent and Vatos Locos core crew members; the first sampler features David Gtronic, Randall M, Hanfry Martinez of course the label head himself.......

Ben Sims, Raresh, Amê ( Kristian ), Laurent Garnier, Tiefshwarz, Bambounou, Huxkey, Satoshi Tomiie,
Ian Pooley, Andy Baxter, dj Ralf, Doc Martin, Axel Boman, Harri & Domenic, Andy Baxter, Dan Curtin and many more!

Nonplus has been pushing the envelope for forward thinking music since its inception in 2009 and the next EP confirms this. There is little known about Hexagon Son but the raw and intricate sound of the Spiral EP suggests this is no newcomer.
From the hypnotic swirls of Spiral17, the raw robot funk of Opia to the deconstructed tape driven re-imaging of Blipworx. The Spiral EP covers all corners of the expansive world of Techno.

Impulsive and intuitive hardware house & techno from Vancouver duo minimal violence aka Ashlee Luk & Lida P. The five tracks on 'Night Gym' soundtrack urban landscapes, textured synths, heavy kicks, and dense polyrhythms come together to form the duo's own brand of outsider house.Citing influence from both minimal synth and Chicago house, Night Gym arrives hot off the heels of the duo's self titled ep on Dublin based First Second Label which closely examined the intersections that lay between punk and techno.Recorded in February/March 2016 in the duo's home studio, the instinctual nature of live work flow plays an important role in the duo's creative process. Utilizing hardware (SH-101, TR-606/505/707, Waldorf Blofeld, Juno-60, DX-21, MPC1000) in addition to sourced samples with final compositions compiled and manipulated in Ableton, Night Gym is an example of the duo's diverse interests and collaborative nature. The duo recruited visual support from Chicago based graphic designer Kevin McCaughey of NONPOROUS for the distinct imagery of Night Gym. As well he designed the poster that comes in the 12" and screen printed a limited run of long sleeve t-shirts available through Boot Boys Biz.

After some remix projects and a lot of work on their new live set, the next original mix from SaiteZwei will be released as digital and vinyl release. Also for this project, the two guys cooperatedwith the label Tach & Nacht from Hamburg. The song is a mixture of Deep and Tech Houseelements with driving drum structures, Saite Zwei typical harmonies and a lot of variety. Despitecomplex melodies and heavy chords, the entire ep has become very clubby and danceable this time.Among other songs, the release will contain a remix of "Morja".The B side comes with an original track by Morja called "Reborn". Less melody, more groove could be the topic in comparison to his former releases. Coming with a tight set of percussion and a phat forward driving bassline Reborn surprises with some contrary played organ sounds adding even more thrust and energy to the tune.
Definitely a track to remember. The side gets completed by an interpretation of Saite Zweis "Nighting Ale"

The unrelenting force that is Hot Creations often acts as a breeding ground for raw talent. This next release does just that with four 'Hot Jams' from upcoming artists Lee Walker, Pete Dorling, Neil Parkes and Greeko.
First up, young producer Lee Walker from Middlesbrough makes his debut on Hot Creations delivering 'That Little Ditty', which takes hold with a deeply intoxicating bassline, prominent hi-hats and punchy stabs that build to a frenzied climax. Shooting onto the scene in 2015 with his off-the-cuff edit of DJ Deeon's 'Freak Like Me', which played by the likes of Marco Carola, Dixon and Loco Dice, soon gained over 1 million hits on Youtube and was finally picked up by Defected Records.
Having featured on 'Hot Summer Jams' on the label back in 2014, Essex DJ and producer Pete Dorling is back with another killer track. 'Manyana' drives with a heavy bassline as tribal vocal cuts are played throughout. Other releases can be seen on the likes of VIVa Music, Resonance Productions and NoFitState.
Also appearing on the same 'Hot Summer Jams', Neil Parkes is back on board the label with 'Peil Narkes.' A swinging bassline sets the groundwork as layers of moody synths roll out over punchy hats. Since his first release on Metroline Limited, Neil has spread his wings releasing on labels such as MadTech, Leftroom Limited and Underground Audio.

DIMDJ of AUDIO ATLAS comes with 5 fresh tracks on MATHEMATICS. Ranging from the acid attack of "CRASH 3" to the downtempo funk of "TEMPLE OF THE MOUNTAIN" and covering lots of territory in between, there is something for every DJ here!

Second release from Miami based label, Sports Records. Featuring local artist Avstin Frank with a remix from the Gua Ltd. boss Gua Camole. 300 copies. Vinly Only. Sanctified People Of Righteousness Truth & Soul"

After two sold out 12" EPs on Optimo Trax, Boot & Tax head over to mother label Optimo Music for the release of their debut self-titled, 9-track album.

The Milanese duo are comprised of Cristian Croce (already part of The Barking Dogs) and Claudio Brioschi (Brioski), two of the most popular and respected djs/producers of the Italian scene who share a great passion for analog synths and experimentation, and a deep knowledge of both clubbing and production.

Dance albums are notoriously difficult to pull off and often fall flat but Boot & tax succeed where many fail by making a record that will work on open-minded dance floors but isn't necessarily a dance album. Indeed, my 80-year-old stepmother hasn't danced for years but has been listening to this on repeat all month. Incorporating Claudio's guitar playing, Boot & Tax's trademark eccentric instrumentation along with their analogue arsenal and the occasional vocal from Cristian, they have managed to forge a uniquely characteristic sound world.

Playful, psychedelic, hypnotic, captivating, the album comes in a gatefold sleeve on double vinyl and Boot & Tax will be touring live in support of the record throughout the summer and beyond.

There is hardly any other track so closely connected to Sven Väth's twelfth Ibiza season, like "Adonis" by Alex Ridha aka Boys Noize.

This vinyl includes a free downloadcode were customers get the whole digital release for free via Facebook !!
Name is program: its Techno & its Raw. Great teamwork from Coyu (Suara, Great Stuff, Material, Skint) and Ramiro Lopez (Cecille Numbers, Sincopat). This NM2 makes you clap !

LTD 2015 Repress!

HEAVY SUPPORT FROM ZIP AND DIXON (THE ONLY TWO PEOPLE TO HAVE THIS RELEASE PRIOR TO SALE) REGULAR PLAYS AT THEIR GIGS.

Future classic! Rerelease of the highly sought after original version with stunning remixes by Palms Trax and Massimiliano Pagliara.

'When we say 'live in the future' it becomes a repudiation of living in the present, and then instantly we are in a state of denial' 'Denial' has a hypnotic effect on the mind. Gutsy 909 claps work with percussion and futurist vocal snippets that warp and chop, whilst haunting chords wrap themselves and sublimate over the body. 'Denial' wants you to 'live in the future", denying the present moment. Yet the music speaks in the present. To close your eyes, find yourself; lose yourself in the moment and groove. 'Denial' is an invitation to live in the present. In the 'Prise d'acid' version, things are ramped up a gear with more forceful kick drums and densely layered percussion. Whilst it still retains the hypnotic, evocative factor of the original, Wink's trademark 303 bubbles its way in, providing more peak-time oomph. The 'Tweak Dub' is a raw interpretation of the original, heavily focusing on the swing and drive of the magnetic groove with trippy tweaks of analog synth sequences drawing inspiration from his Chicago luminaries. Josh Wink is a quiet expert of metaphors within music. Of music that invites you to forget your thoughts and let the music do its work. 20 years ago he released 'Higher States of Consciousness', a record that portrayed and shaped dance culture at that time. Since, he has released music including 'I Am Ready', 'Don't Laugh', 'Oakish', 'When A Banana Was Just A Banana', 'Balls' and last year he released the intense game-changer techno anthem, 'Talking To You', a record that hasn't left DJ's boxes and has forthcoming a remix package from Adam Beyer and Matthew Dear. Wink is a producer who works ahead of trends and always stays true to his passion of the music itself, with integrity at the forefront.
