For his first release on Common Dreams, Reedale Rise (Simon Keat) brings us two thoughtful tracks, both well-layered and very well produced. The A side "Pressure Box" is the more funkier, 'deep house' leaning tune, giving us juicy chords, a starry pad, and some very nice atmospheres in between. All the while, drums are pushing you forward, and in some parts just reach out and slap you in the face. The B side "Azikiwe" fuses sporadic arpeggiations with some very thoughtful chord melodies. Maybe it could be described as having a more psychedelic twist. But just when you get too far out, you're brought right back to the rhythm tracks wich are nothing short of solid, making for a good all around dance track.

Here it is, the second release on Zukunft Recordings, starring more brilliant remixes for The Legendary Lightness. Frank Wiedemann from Ame/Howling created a hymn. Kejeblos on the flip provides a groovy Disco version with early electro influences.

French label Meant serve up another EP from their fast rising Montreal based duo Vosper. Made up of Edouard Le and Christopher

Byron, the pair excels in analogue funk, have also released on Throne of Blood and here get remixed by Items & Things man Marc

Houle. Taking some of their cues from the likes of Drexcyia and Mark Bell, the duo have a sound somewhere between darkened

Techno and physical EBM.
The title track 'Losing Control' is a raw and stripped back bit of house music with a taught bassline, eerie robot voices and plenty of industrial grit and grime in the textures on offer. It's heavy warehouse music but retains a great sense of dynamism before 'Kabuki Playboy' lays down a rich, rasping bassline and has various shooting synths dance all around it. The claps are metallic and grainy
And the mood is one you'd find at a deserted industrial estate in the dead of night. 'Isolation' verges on electro with again a gnarly
Bassline and great sense of wide open but futuristic space. A clatter of hits and spaceship like synths all circle round the groove and it's another hugely evocative track.
Minimal techno master Marc Houle then remixes 'Isolation' into something with more echo and menace buried within. It's a subtle

Rework but one that makes the track that bit more fearsome and moody. First digital bonus 'Oni' is a sparse affair that relies on its alien Voices and spaceship like sounds to craft a very real atmosphere and ambiance where robots and machines rule the roost. It's crisp And analogue, slyly funky and seriously heady. The second digital bonus is a remix of 'Kabuki Playboy' by Monoblok & PSLKTR that

Gets even more heavy and physical with ripping bass notes, dumpy kick drums and serene, searching synths subtly lighting up the

backdrop.
This is a fine EP that really takes you to another world entirely thanks to the studious production and great sense of mood
throughout. As such, Vosper are very much a duo on the rise.

John Tejada does not really need any introduction - he is simply a phenomenon.
Starting with his first releases in the mid nineties, he has been constantly expanding on his massive catalogue of singles, remixes and albums released on well known US and European Techno, House and Electronic Music labels and there seems to be no end in sight. In addition to his output on prestigious labels such as Playhouse, Plug Research, deFocus, Moods and Grooves, 7th City, Kompakt, and others he has also been running his own Palette Recordings imprint since 1996.
John Tejada´s EP for Slices Of LIfe make reference to his earlier releases that were beloved by DJ´s for their driving energy and an occasional wink of humor. The three tracks on - Times LIke This' combine a musical glance back to earlier times, while showcasing Tejada´s high level production skills of today: A Slice from the past without being nostalgic.

Despite having deep roots within the club scene as a acclaimed producer, remixer and busy DJ, Kasper Bjørke has in the past years been focusing his own album productions on song oriented compositions, suitable for home listening rather than the dance floor. The DJs and ravers have been kept busy with remixes of his original versions - but for this new release, Kasper turns his own full attention to the business of making people move. 'Fountain of Youth' is a mini-LP drawing on Kaspers 15 years immersed in club culture and inspired by some of the genres he plays in his own DJ sets around the world, house, classic electro, post disco and techno. It's exceptionally executed, a masterclass in exquisite sound and production - and a innate knowledge of dance floor dynamics. 'Cloud 9' is the haunting and melancholic 808 breakbeat infused lead single (which features Urdur on the vocal version, known from the Icelandic collective GusGus) - an intoxicating 90s vocal house music tribute, that will surely both provide euphoric moments on the club floors and warm the hearts of radio audiences alike. Cloud 9 is released accompanied by luminary remixes from Gerd Janson (Running Back), Marvin & Guy (Hivern Discs) and Weval (Kompakt). 'Klint' is a throbbing and fun jam that conjures up memories of post disco and itchy italo. 'Rays' draws on a dreamy, descending synth theme, 808 patterns and a thick, punchy low end. 'Zenith (feat. Null & Void)' with its distinct, distorted and glitchy modular synth anthem, is a perfect afterburner for the later hours or in that 2 am party transition phase. 'Köln' has Kasper showing his deep love for the German techno capital, with a trippy percussive groove that builds into a futuristic ride topped by a simple, synthetic string theme.

Tenderpark celebrates its 15th release with new signing Tilman. On his Mild Western EP the young man from Mainz pleases with two very funky and soulful House tracks which just perfectly fit the label's musical philosophy. This is Deep House with a strong sense for the music's roots in Soul and Disco implemented in a
decidedly modern and fresh fashion. The remix of Tilman's track 'Whip Me Up' comes from CMAT who is quite a well-known artist having released on Tenderpark before and who will soon come up with a new record on the label. CMAT is still a secret alias of his, but his identity will be revealed soon. With catalogue number
015, Tenderpark also initiates a new artwork series once again concieved by the label's art director Till Sperrle, this time cooperating with photographer Magdalena Bichler from Berlin. Desolat, 2020 Vision, Tsuba and Mobilee's contributor, Hector comes back  on NYC - based Serkal imprint with another on point 2 trackers, backed up with an Hansel's remix. 

After releasing the likes of Clio, Manna From Sky, Relock just to name a few Serkal drops Hector's second EP on the label. "...EP' includes 2 stunning club oriented tracks. He merges soulful House grooves with Techno atmospheres, driving wobbly bass-lines with rolling 4/4 percussion patterns and hypnotic industrial melodies with distorted sampled vocals. 'Mycloud' showcases the producer's aesthetic taste for powerful analogue sub lines and never-tiring loops, like being lost in a mystical fractal. 'Phil's Theme' merges Tech House relentless grooves with a dark / late night vibe, driven by a owwling synth and subtle pad sounds. New project Synthetic Gold Records promises not only new material, but also represses from selected labels and digitally released tracks made available on vinyl for the first time. On SGR001 there's a top tune by Isherwood, one of the finest works to date by the UK producer, then an old classic by the Russian production duo and founders of Nervmusic, Easy Changes. On the Bside, there are works by Romanian producer Nu Zau and a wonderful little track by Welsh producer Tom Ellis. Top collection, all remastered, and beautifully presented in brown cardboard sleeves and on 180gram vinyl!

Exactly two years after his first Sirion Release we proudly present MASTRA´s second 12" titled "Out of Nowhere". This time around in collaboration with his buddy JON DONSON, who also released his first EP on Sirion in Spring 2010. The mood and structure of this latest coup entirely reflects the familiar yet different of the Bernese natives MASTRA & JON DONSON. For the first time in form of an exciting fusion of individuals signed by both distinct handwritings. "Out of Nowhere" is a deep and, owing to a impulsive bass drum, repetitive Deep House Track. This impression is given through a state of mind clearly offside of a classic course. Nevertheless its bits and pieces remain stuck and arent easily banished. PABLO BOLIVAR is known for his large spectrum of high quality compositions. Upholding that standard he delights with yet another impressive interpretation. Ment is a raw and jacking deep house track. Lipslide a sublime and discoish house track with dubby chords and bubbly synths. On the flip Samo DJ and Alexi3d transform the original in to gritty and percussive techno trip. The EP ends with Ask which is a slow house-not-house track.

Göttingen/Germany based Label "Shaker Plates" starts a new sub label . With a limited 200 piece edition on Vinyl "Rüttelplatten" tries to catch the people on the danceflooor and also the regular listeners of modern electronic dance music.
With "Just Before I Leave" and "You" Steve Cole (Swiss) & Ronald Christoph (Berlin) provide the young label with two Deep Tech House smashers for a good start.
Label owner Gunman does the Remix for "You" and the spanish Artist (living in France) Eddy Romero gives his interpretation for "Just Before I Leave".
So these guys are just one part of the Rüttelplatten Family. The next members are already in pole position.

Limited release 10 track 12" on collectable Japanese label "Snaker" The GNOCCHI a.k.a. GNOC-THE-CHI a.k.a. DJ N- ZK is the label owner of oriental 10"oriented label as "I- I- P"and he is also known as a real hard digger soft drinker.
Leaving signature FM synthesis work Arcade Game, blends with soft reggae feelings, his programming make more minimalismic, polyrhythmic and even funky approach through eerie,vertiginous,glistering and ominous without long dramatic notes. This primary sound make us mad, it has something common to lo-fi feeling or raw house groove.

All it takes to distinguish a deep house release from all the others these days is the people involved behind it. In this case, And.id who has proven to be as comfortable as making techno for Mobilee, VIVa music and 2020vision, as he is to produce elaborate jazz arrangements, covering electronic music songs with his jazz trio, is the man behind the first two original tracks for the Taverna Tracks imprint. The EP kick starts with 'My People' and in complete New York fashion, with strings, bassline and vocal stabs that could have jumped straight out of a Jovonn production. The next track, 'Face Off", is a more obscure basement techno affair, for the late night afterhours and for those who like to zone and lose themselves in the trippy stabs and tension building strings. The first Taverna Tracks EP rounds up beautifully with a superbly produced Alix Alvarez Remix, which makes use of the original hooks but elevates the whole song with his unique production skills and sublime sense for arrangement. A beautiful example of old-school themed while at the same time contemporary pieces of house music with nostalgia and soulfulness bursting out of them in every single bar.

Intec Digital is set to release its latest compilation album, 'Pure Intec 3', mixed by label co-heads Carl Cox and Jon Rundell.
This essential 2CD follows on from the previous two 'Pure Intec'

As we launch into the 20th instalment of our Watergate Mix series, it seems only fitting that we turn to one of our own artists to commemorate the milestone. A man already well known for his poignant and impassioned productions and DJ sets, we are thrilled to present Matthias Meyer as the next master of controls on Watergate 20! Over the course of 80 minutes, Meyer skillfully navigates through boundless sonic spaces of lush melodics, organic grooves and sentimental sensations with an effortless approach. From the very beginning, emotions run deep as the sound of rain and strings on Kettenkarussell's 'Ten Friends' sets the stage as YokoO & Retza's exclusive track 'Satori' and Leafar Legov's 'Tribal Girls' establish the percussive tone of the mix. The journey really begins to unfold when back to back exclusive tracks; Gorje Hewek & Izhevski's 'Turgoyakk' and Matthias' own 'Uluwatu' take over. As the mix picks up steam tracks from Palms Trax, Langenberg, Hyenah and another exclusive from Meyer himself provide the perfect momentum that drives us into the deeper side as the mix takes a turn towards the final stretch.

Mono Junk's DUM Records has been dictating trends in the world of minimalistic techno since the 1990s, and its 34th release is as special as any. This one comes from label boss Kimmo Rapatti aka Mono Junk vs Mesak, who is better known as fellow Finn, Tatu Metsätähti, aka one half of Mr Velcto Fastener and someone who has released on Dexter & Steffi's Klakson. Together the pair serve up three mixes of their jam and an additional track.
Title track 'Deep In My Mind' is a paranoid techno cut with freaky vocal riffs repeating the title as gurgling synth lines and sleek drums rumble below. Twitchy synths and high pressure perc add to the hypnotic effect, and overall it's easy to see this one making for some perfectly weird dance floor moments. The mix by Mono Junk is completely the opposite: in his hands it is a beat-less, serene and beautifully styled electro cut that takes you deep into brain soothing space. The 'Electro Mind' version is then a full on electro jam, with plenty of aqueous synths and fluid lines all squiggling along in classic Detroit style. Final track 'SYSdrum' is back to the raw, with angsty drum lines, crisp and slapping snares and oodles of reverb all making for a brain frying trip.

Keith Tuckers Optic nerve persona returns with the Timelapse ep. Side a1 Minimal Detroit mix is a dark minimal Mood beat pumped excursion into techno floor stumper. A2 Time Displacement mix is a completely different Take with alternative beats creating a sort of shift in time. The tracks show Tuckers growth and influence on Electro and techno with his work in Aux 88.
Side two One moment in time is a Detroit sort of metroplex gem . Tucker once again shows his melodic Melodies and baselines that shows his love for Detroit music and grooves. A highly thought out sequence of great sounds and string chords as only Optic nerve does it. Tucker has hinted many times that he has a lot of Unreleased music from his metroplex days!
B2. Transient Force records label owner AS1 gives us a true electro mix which keeps alot of the original mix of One Moment in Time. The tone is A more Electro clash techno mesh of urban beat programming for the electro heads.

Limited White Vinyl Pressing!
Winter is almost over but for the UY080 we decided to dip our label paint-brush deep into a potty filled with white. The painter is called Ruede Hagelstein and his work of art is simply called 'Minus". A track with the charm of a winter-landscape, fully accomplished, crystal clear and warming like an analogue heater. Wearing almost nothing and casted into a snow- white plate it will be a pleasure for all vinyl collectors.

Finally repressed

After a splendid record on Remote earlier this year, Frenchman Toni Be now joins the Soul Notes family for an excellent 3-track pack. With his own distinct sound which can be describes as jacking but still classy Toni Be does put in his own flavor. With loads of generic deephouse stuff being released over the last couple of months the 'Burning Patterns EP' is one that stands out for the fact that the sound is well balanced and the 3 tracks compliment each other in terms of diversity. On the title track Toni Be opens this journey into sound with a chordy club weapon which captures a subtile house feeling. Definitely suitable to play at peak time but also a nice little jam for pre and after hours. Toni continues with the slamming 'Point of no Return' which can be described as a classy yet vibey housejam with an almost glamourous itch to it. The closing down of this acey 12'' is something different. Toni's typical drumsound dominates the track throughout but the swanky ambiance points out it's after hour purpose. Yet again Soul Notes are proud to present the 5th installment in their excellent series. With an amazing VA production in the pipeline the label surely won't disappoint anyone involved in quality house music in the near future. 2013 is coming up and Toni Be's Burning Patterns EP is one for the (after) holiday-season Recordbag.

Der geheime Hit jedoch verbirgt sich auf der Rückseite - das sinnig benannte SUPERTRIP, eine dramatische, streicherlastige Technoreise, die mit einer spartanischen, aber herzhaft reibenden Bassline beginnt und sich schnell zum vollausgestatteten Synthie-Stampfer entwickelt. Turn on, tune in, space out!

Leftrooms sister imprint designed for one off signings, Leftroom Ltd, serves up the strident Sourire du Sphinx two-tracker from Alex Celler just as Winter gives way.

In just a few years and a handful of standout releases Celler has established himself as one of the new school of tech-house lynchpins. Whether alone or with Anthea, his output for Area Remote, Cecille, Tuning Spork, Freak n Chic and Soweso has made him one of the most charted artists around (just check Resident Advisor).

Cellers ability to craft tight, engaging dancefloor grooves has made him popular but, always one to push forward, we see the London-based Greek develop his sound in Sourire du Sphinx.
The brawny and athletic drum programming Celler has made his name with remains intact for the perfectly suited Sourire Du Sphinx and Conundrum, but an unhurried and playful use of melodies bleeds through like never before.

In Sourire Du Sphinx, the tunes unfurl from a cornucopia of pitched percussion that switches from jarring to tuneful throughout and makes for an enthralling, jazz infused listen.

The rhythms of Conundrum are joined by a gentler set of chiming melodies and further augmented with haunting, drawn out vocals. Poignant and dancefloor is a rare combination but
Conundrum manages to pull off both with aplomb.

Acquiring success in the spring of 2009 with the release one of the year's biggest dancefloor tracks, the last twelve months has seen an amazing run of productions from Alex Celler, his is a story of talent married to dedication and resulting in increasing success.

With its catchy hook and stylish lustre, 'La Palma' (Arearemote) was one of RA's most charted tracks following its release and undoubtedly marked a turning point in Alex's career. Follow-up releases 'Trapped in Dub' (Tuning Spork) and 'North London Cutz' (Cinematic) have helped rapidly cement an energetic and intense tech house sound full of swing, tribal rhythms & deep basslines. Meanwhile, the 'Anthea & Celler' bombs which arrived (with friend and fellow Londoner Anthea) on Cecille and Freak n Chic have afforded them both notable exposure and also the opportunity to take their partnership out on the road, courtesy of their back-to-back DJ sets. This is a partnership that is close to the hearts of both.

A Greek national by right but a Londoner by choice, Alex's distinctive DJ style hints towards an obsessive attitude to crate digging - playing out an impressive blend of rare, old and modern tracks, his precise intuition for the right record on the dancefloor mirrors his own love of the party atmosphere.

Durable productions and mood-changing DJ sets have seen Alex feature as guest around the globe at respected parties at Ibiza's Underground, DC10, Amnesia and Space as well as others including Trouw (Amsterdam), Studio Martin (Bucharest), Arma 17 (Moscow), Amnesia (Milan) and at home in London - where he has become a main player in the city's underground house scene, guesting regularly at Fabric.

The coming summer season will see Alex play at the Space Opening Fiesta in Ibiza, and dish out releases on Arearemote, Cecille, air london and on Lauhaus' increasingly slick label Soweso.
