Joeski (Short Bio)Joeski (NYC, USA) is a beloved disc jockey, hit-making producer and owner of Maya Records, a veteran artist who music critics have recently described as an unsung hero of House music.' Born in Brooklyn and raised in Queens, Joeski has been lifting dance floors since the late 80's when he would spin at house parties around the city. In 1991 he got his big break at Wunder Bar in the heart of Manhattan. It took no time for his talent and taste to be noticed and soon Joeski was rocking crowds at revered landmark venues like the Limelight, the Tunnel, the Palladium or NASA during a golden age of the legendary NYC underground club scene. Joeski remained faithful to the underground that made him, and he got into the rave circuit deejaying after-hours at Save the Robots with DJ Keoki. All of those amazing parties would eventually lead to lots of frequent flying when he was booked all over the US by clubs and promoters who wanted to bring the NYC House scene to their cities. In 1995 he started his residency at the Roxy: the party was called Together and there he played with everybody from Danny Tenaglia to Little Louie Vega to Roger Sanchez and on and on. Over the subsequent years Joeski continued to grow as a performer as well as a producer, and in 2000 he started his own label Maya Records with the idea to find a home where he and his friends could express their musical talents. Today it is safe to say that any proper house DJ has a Joeski record in his bag. In addition to the tracks he puts out himself, he has had hit releases on labels such as Defected, Desolat, Poker Flat, Kling Klong, Suara— and now Musex Industries, one of Europe's hottest artist-friendly indie labels. Joeski has proved to the world that he is here to stay and will continue to showcase his talent while his living legacy continues to thrive globally in the 21st Century.

Moon Harbour is delighted to announce the Autumn 2016 release of Momentum, the second full length album from label boss Matthias Tanzmann. Arriving eight years after his debut LP Restless, the outstanding follow-up impressively demonstrates that his artistic restlessness has not been decreasing over the last couple of years. On the contrary, Momentum undoubtedly proves once more that Matthias' impact on the scene is still steadily growing with an end not in sight and that his efforts to advance are ever moving forward.


Recent times have found Matthias having huge success via fruitful collaborations with the likes of Martin Buttrich, Davide Squillace and Daniel Stefanik, amongst others, but now back on his own and more energetic than ever, he is firing on all cylinders as a solo artist. Loosely rooted in a variety of house styles, Momentum shows a subtle return to some of Tanzmann's earliest musical roots. Just as Matthias declares himself, 'It is stuff to listen to at home, stuff I like to listen to away from the club', before adding that, 'of course, it also contains tracks that are 100% what I love playing in my DJ sets.'


The ten track release is an impulsive and emotionally moving affair that offers a fantastic snapshot into the current musical mind of the artist. With a process initially starting during his times abroad in Thailand and South America, this most coherent and complete album has been slowly coming together over the last five years. In customary manner, the album is quite different to a normal EP from the German producer, given that it features plenty of deeper and more cerebral moments than most of his past works.


With a perfect mixture between listening pleasure and pure dancefloor material, Momentum contains tracks ranging from deep and broody house style with warm pads streaming over infectious drums to serene and atmospheric jams with real funk in their bones. Next to more downtempo sultry house vibes, the harder, more freaky tunes will get floors bumping with their punchy drums, wiggling synths, drilling bass and loopy vocal sounds. With more soul infused party grooves rounding up the experience, the release truly brings along the whole range of carefully plotted ups and downs necessary for casting the listener under a hypnotic and heartfelt spell of house music.


The album will be celebrated with a worldwide release tour from October to December 2016, highlighting once more that only a few have the exact same sense of electronic music artistry as this man does.

Bodyjack returns to his BodyTrax label with another 3 outstanding BodyTrax. "Is He Always Like This" is an infectious groove-based techno workout which has been tried and tested by a select few DJs over the last few months. Kamala's Revenge is a hypnotic tribal roller with darkside vocals, off-kilter rhythms and & tripped out FX. One for the heads down crew. Last but not least, the uptempo house jacker "Disrespect" combines a killer bassline and Bodyjack's now signature razor sharp beats n' stabs to round off the EP. Oh, and there are 4 locked grooves on the 12" release for the heads. Don't sleep on this one!

The Eleven is - numerologically speaking- definitely not a lucky number in the Western culture. It exceeds perfection just by one and thus represents the number of excess and sin in Christian mythology, that's why apocalyptic events always start in the eleventh hour.

Die in Brasilien geborene, in Köln aufgewachsene und in Berlin lebende Künstlerin Dominique Dillon de Byington alias DILLON hatte immer eine klare Vision ihrer Kunst. Zwei Alben hat sie bereits veröffentlich. Für sie selbst sind beide eigentlich eins, denn sie erzählen eine zusammenhängende Geschichte. Live war dies stets spürbar, denn die dunkel melodischen Songs beider Alben bestimmten im magischen Wechselspiel ihre Shows. Als sie 2015 vom Berliner Foreign Affairs Festival gebeten wurde, ein einmaliges Konzert zu entwickeln, entschied sie sich für eine Performance mit einem sechzehnköpfigen Frauenchor, der sie und ihr Kollaborateur und Co-Produzent ihrer ersten beiden Alben, Tamer Fahri Özgönenc im Juli 2015 live im Haus der Berliner Festspiele begleitete. - Ich hatte das Bedürfnis mit Stimmen zu arbeiten und eine weitere Ebene zu kreieren, die zwischen der Elektronik und mir atmet. Das hat mich sehr gereizt, und so haben Tamer und ich gemeinsam den Chor geschrieben und arrangiert.' offenbart Dillon. Der Chor impft ihrer von Klavier und elektronischen Sounds getragenen Musik eine neue körperliche Ebene ein, zwischen der ihre Stimme sehnsüchtig tanzt. Wie natürlich sich das neue Element in ihre dramatisch minimale Musik einfügt, zeigt die nun erscheinende Liveaufnahme des Konzerts. - Als ich begann mein zweites Album - The Unknown' zu schreiben, war mir klar dass es inhaltlich sowie musikalisch die Fortsetzung von - This Silence Kills' werden würde. Fresh from the success of last years critically acclaimed PT 1 EP, Leeds-born Samir Alikhanizadeh aka Happa, is gearing up for the hotly anticipated release of PT 2, a 3 track EP and the second in a series of releases on his own label PT 5.

Having first drawn attention with his tumbling remix of the Four Tet track Jupiters, it wasn't long before he was heralded by the likes of Radio 1's Mary Anne Hobbs, James Blake, Zed Bias and Skream, to name a few. Happa's love for electronic sounds is no more evident than on his latest offering; surging ahead at a faster pace than PT 1, with nods to EBM and industrial along the way. Opening track Blackberreh! marks a sideways move away from its predecessors. With spikey glitches, pitch-bending beats and extra melodic attention paid, the track plays out across a dark soundscape, creating an all-embracing big room noise. Catch-22 takes things further with abrasive beats and aphotic vocals giving it a brutal, industrial quality, and acts as the perfect showcase for Happa's wayward electronic tastes. Closing out the EP is Drag, a juggernaut of refracted beats, displaying admirable depth and a real techno assault.

If PT 1 was the product of a young artist refining his sound, PT 2 is the bass-heavy, hypnotic call to arms of an artist with enough raw talent and perseverance to create something truly astounding.

No.19 Music offer up the first new single from Kenny Glasgow since his departure from Art Department earlier this year, giving a sneak preview of what to expect from his forthcoming LP 'Circus Tales'.

Kenny Glasgow has spent the last 5 years as one half of dance music duo Art Department, releasing records on some of the biggest labels around and maintaining a tour schedule that encompassed almost every key festival and club on the planet. Spring 2015 saw Glasgow and musical partner Jonny White go their separate ways with Kenny returning to his solo roots with a raft of new material inspired by his time on the road and forged in his new Toronto studio.

The new year will see Kenny come home to No.19 Music for his second solo album, the follow up to 2009's stunning 'Taste of the Low Life' and in anticipation of this the label now offer up the first single in the shape of 'In Too Deep'.

The release opens with 'Sexxy', a pulsating electronic opus that marries deep rolling rhythms with subtle melodies and some wonderfully disembodied saxophone lines. Hypnotic and genuinely enchanting, this is a record that offers up a perfect balance of musicality and dancefloor sensibilities and is sure to be hit in and out of the club.

The flipside sees Glasgow lay down title track 'In Too Deep', a spacious and ethereal offering built around a soundscape of rich undulating bass, razor sharp percussion and understated layers of effects. Simple vocal incantations join the mix to bring a sense of human warmth and the overall effect is mermerising.

Expectations are bound to be high for the first solo release from Kenny Glasgow in many years but this point perfect single exceeds them at every turn, delivering something truly special.

Debut release on the new Kaleidoscope Jazz Chair Reissues label. First release contains some beautiful and well crafted dubbed out techno by Kit Clayton with his 1998 'Deadlock' tune originally released as the B2 on the 4-Track 'Unreliable Networks' EP (on Silent Servant's label 'Cytrax'), it slipped under many a record buyer's radar. Nearly 20 years later, now that electronic musical tastes have matured and expanded, the time seemed right to re-present, this lush, atmospheric, percussive work out to the heads, deservedly pressed on a full side of 12" Vinyl. Pussy Clap was originally released on the Remote label, set up by Charles Webster, and featured House music predominantly written by Charles and Neil Tolliday, better known as Nail. Jorge Felucca was the alias that Neil used when creating the more dubbed out, techy tracks for the label. Sounding somewhat like a deep house take on Maurizio, 'Pussy Clap' was also released in '98, but had since fallen into obscurity, and the time had come for it to be rejuvenated and polished with an amazing remaster by Pole for the modern ear that is a dramatic improvement on the original.

Made by Mark Imperial & Vinnie Devine as Laurent X, "Machines" was conceived in a 16 track studio with an unquestionable Roland TB-303, but also a TR-808, TR-909, a Juno 106, some FX and a bucket of rib tips. According to Mark Imperial, he and his friends (specially Vinnie Devine) had a mad fun playing with gear.

"I was DJing Italo imports since 1980, and as a regular on the Chicago DJ scene, naturally I became involved in DJ International Records from the beginning", says Mark about how the whole thing started.

It was what we call a 'thinktank', and these young producers all experimented with gear. Mark Imperial's exposure to the acid sounds of TB-303 came from his dear friend Adonis (the one responsible for "No Way Back"), and Mark's exposure to the Juno 106 from Dane Roewade.

About the equipment he made use at that time, Mark also stated: "I visited Detroit and was exposed to the Yamaha DX-100, a mere toy that was a staple to the Detroit sound at the time" (Derrick May, for example, did several of his early tunes' basslines with it, and Kenny Larkin confessed it was the equipment through which he made the etheral pianos of 'Yennek - Serena X' classic).

Mark Imperial continued: "Although I didn't visit Detroit until 1989, Derrick May showed admiration for my track "Jason's Revenge" which I did in 1986", a fact that made Mark believe he was making "Techno" at its very early days.

"Machines" was very, very influential tune as well. In 1988, he thought they were making "Acid", but it also became a quintessential masterpiece to other kinds of House music that appeared since then...

Pinkman cast their net eastwards. The latest finding, Hungary's Norwell, offers up four genre splicing cuts. Rhythms are from the golden age of electro, cold and prototypical. Around these sharp percussion patterns swirl a wealth of melting synthlines. Pads, deep basslines and a ghosting presence characterise the title track, that same spectral mood weaves its way through the sweetened strings and distorted judders of 'Dissonant Division.' The frigid bars of 'Nordic Nights' introduces the flip, arctic winds pierced by snapping snares. Emotional depth ebbs and flows as the rich and textured 'Wasted Echoes' brings down the curtain on Norwell's Pinkman debut

OdD returns with the follow up to the highly successful Tapes of Old series. The boys have dug deep into the archives to bring you three hidden treasures that finally are making their way to wax. So sit tight and prepare to blast off into the intergalactic word of OdD with Tapes of Old 02.

Getting things going with Phono Parrot, a modern interpretation of the 1994 Classic Emprisoning Sounds On A Piece Of Wax by SQVID. The boys jump right into the action with shamanic grooves that move us through our temple of OdD with whip like snares that crash giving the movement of our journey an extra boost. Then dubby synths take us further into their world until the vox kicks in speaking the gospel of OdD.

This leads us to the next point with Original Sqiggle. This track was the original template to the dance floor smash on OdD 005. Taking us even deeper into this diverse world, we glide through the air on floating pads until complex percussion patterns move us further through this strange new enjoyable world.

Ready for our next exploration of sound we jump into our space ship ready to explore the realms of Spud Bm 7: B5. A track dedicated to Spud Huddson an insane genius that in his own right was the father figure and inspiration for OdD. Once we land we find our self in a beautiful and enchanting land with classic pads that remind us how sacred the new place we have entered is. Followed by otherworldly percussion and a solid groove that speaks to our explorers in a foreign language that is not confusing but blissful.

All together in a tightly woven package this release is one for the dance floor and those listening at home. Limited to only 500 copies, this is one record you won't want to miss, so fasten your seatbelts and prepare for the next journey into the world of OdD.

Straight outta Berlin, with a couple of quick stops in Detroit & Chicago, comes Saile's "Can I Get A Witness" EP. Two pumpin' late-night MPC jams recorded straight to tape, with a spaced-out acieed remix from fellow Berliner Annanan!

9300 RECORDS returns with the first EP by SHIN, a relatively unknown, Belgian producer duo. They gave birth to three solid tracks with low kicks and raw bass chords, synths that are highly 90's trance influenced and some acid vibes on the B-Side. The cherry on top is a remix of 'Mistress' by none other than Legowelt! Danny Wolfers discribes the EP as 'Flemish achromatism' , which is a good reference to its melancholic undertone.Limited to 300 hand stamped and numbered copies !

Ryan Crosson, Lee Curtiss and Shaun Reeves return as Visionquest this February with 'The Monstreux' EP, their first Visionquest EP ever!!!
Visionquest both as a label and the guise of the three label owners has come a long way since its inception back in 2011 with material being released on the label from the likes of Deadbeat, Rework, Dinky and Wareika, plus a revered fabric mix compilation from them as artists. Here we see Ryan, Lee and Shaun return with some long awaited fresh original material as Visionquest, coming in the shape of 'The Monstreux' EP.
Opening the package is title track 'Monstreux', a slow-blooming hypnotic number fuelled by meandering arpeggios, sweeping atmospherics and 80's tinged synth hooks running alongside weighty, low-slung rhythms.
Following is 'Could Be' which sees the trio enlist the vocal styling's of Canada's Jenny Mayhem to create something typically psychedelic from the Visionquest camp. Mayhem's mesmeric vocal hooks swell and unfold via dubbed out echoes around the trio's robust and stripped-back percussive drive while bumpy sub bass tones further fuel the energy of the record.
The package is then rounded off with 'Modulant', collaborating with Ibiza-based producer Tuccillo, and as the name would suggest it focuses on intricate modulations of tone and strength in the synthesized elements, creating a subtly unfolding and complex groove-led composition.

In the follow up to Huxley's 'Widow' EP - AUS present their second offering of 2016 and in doing so welcome back two label favourites: Timothy Blake and Marquis Hawkes as 'Hawkes & Blake' Both artists made outstanding debuts for Aus last year, with Hawkes having more than a hand in Blake's 'Stormy Search' EP before delivering his own disco inflected hit 'Chances'. Now we see a continuation of the studio chemistry as both parties join forces and present 'Love Precipitation': a pair of no frills bombs built strictly for the dancefloor. Playful piano lines and jubilant synths are propelled by expertly crafted 909 drums throughout, recalling in equal measure the classic garage sound of Detroit and the soulful grooves that emanated from New jersey in the 90's. With Hawkes & Blake Aus continue to maintain the high quality in 2016 and offer us an insight into an exciting new production pairing.

Hans Berg and Johanna Knutsson return to the UFO Station with their fourth release, a powerful trippy trip, through warped time and space. And guess who was waiting for them at the Station
Well,none other than fellow space traveller Dungeon Acid, who delivers a remix that just might knock your space pants off.

The title track Alien Power is obviously inspired by the quantum fusion core phase shift warp power engine that drives the UFO Station, a steady beat to keep you on the right side of the force, whereas the Dungeon Acid remix is a musical interpretation of the great warp speed interdimensional flux mishap of the year 2216.
The track Dubby is so named because it inherently describes the core feeling of the track! Alien choirs and synched synths meet long delay lines in this dreamy piece.

Aus follow up a slew of successful records from Fold, Bwana, Sei A and Shenoda with the welcome return of long-term label affiliate Kieran Lomax aka Komon. Having offered several collaborations on the label alongside Appleblim and label owner Will Saul - Komon now lines up his second solo EP 'Splice'. As a producer whose first productions were drum & bass records, his subsequent work on Aus as well as labels such as the Hypercolour affiliated HYPE LTD and Appleblim's Apple Pips have never been lacking in energy, remained UK-centric and always held a bold, sturdy quality. His latest EP is no exception as it brings together three richly textured productions rife with scuttling drums and glowing tones. 'Yeah' kicks things off field recordings and other-worldly FX ducking under a sharp, forthright kick. Moody synths are smeared over sharply swung hats as a tense, held tone gathers steam ahead of a tough and impactful drop. 'Lo Output' then rolls out loose-limbed drums and finger clicks alongside warped and panned atmospherics. Warming stabs and deftly snipped vocals work together to create arresting riffs before the distinctly eyesdown pads of Splice Boundary are beautifully interweaved to close off a satisfyingly varied collection.

'Iyewaye', Oliver Koletzki's first release after the autobiographical I AM OK album, introduced a new facet of the artist's sound. The EP catered to a darker and more raw aesthetic, a direction followed and deepened by the four remixes. First up is the title track 'Iyewaye', turned into a lengthy tech infused introspection by Hatzler. Loosely centered around the initial vocals, Loco & Jam's makeover explores the track's captivating snappy narrative. The more rhythm focused 'Ipuza' gets a special treatment from Hidden Empire who dial up the aggression of the percussion. Zakari & Blange downplay the track's initial exotic elements, focusing on the rattling synths and giving it a late-night dancefloor rework.

Label honcho AFFKT bring us the first stone in the path, like in the previous releases for Sincopat he dives into his own sound to break rules and deliver once again music full of personality. Girl is the first release from the Danish electronic duo Cirkular. The group consists of brothers Jacob and Morten Bogh, both veterans of the Danish electronic music scene. "Girl" is an eclectic release, spanning the melancholic dubsteppy electronica of the title track, house music, electro, UK garage and tech house with remixes from electronic legend Rumpistol as well as Strung Fellows and Discoshaman, both known to fill dancefloors across Europe.
