Fresh from their successful Asia tour, recent remixes on Monza and King Street and appearance on Chris Tietjen's 'Zehn' Cocoon compilation, Italian duo Doomwork make their Ovum debut with a trio of powerful rolling tech burners. Reflecting their multi-shade style and influences, every chapter of the night is consummately catered for. 'Marmalade' takes the lead with unfettered minimalism as a rolling kick/tom groove suddenly whip-slaps into full steam with a precision snare injection. Don't get too comfortable, though, as the synth odyssey that awaits on the breakdown is coded in pure Italo positivity and guarantees serious lazer-reaching participation. 'In The End' showcases the deeper, smouldering side of Doomwork's creativity. Igniting with a slow-burning drum arrangement before long yearning, dreamy pads enter the fray, stretching around the robust mid-tempo kicks to cosmic, hypnotic effect. A timeless recall to Twilo's finest hours when the world was submersed in northern exposure. Finally we hit their own Terraforma remix of 'Marmalade'. Stripping back the drum dynamic into a palpitating heartbeat dynamic, the groove is gradually rebuilt with percussive elements and occasional majestic synth flurries peppering the spectrum when you least expect it. Less of a remix, more of an original in its own rights, it concludes this accomplished label debut and adds yet more momentum for the duo who have consistently bucked trends and stood their ground since 2008.

Spell PETS backwards to get STEP. Spell STEP forwards to find PETS going back to basics. STEP is the new concept vinyl only label from the founder of PETS, Catz 'N Dogz, that highlights the rawest forms and root functions of quality club music. STEP finds the fundamental groove with undertheradar house and techno that is isn't afraid to be rough around the edges. STEP is limited promo and all about the music. Each new STEP will be released every four months on vinyl only.

Having provided a remix for the label back in 2010 Ethyl & Flori now release their first full ep for the label, 'The Last Ninja' kicks things off with an unmistakable old school tech-house feel which to us at FOF recalled the classic 'Architecture' dj mix by Terry Francis with it's punchy kick, sharp percussion and imbued uplifting warmth. 'Fornjot' by Flori on the flip is a different proposition, although still deeply entrenched in a throwback to yesterdays production stylings, this is a much more techno orientated groove with the tracks repeated metallic bass riff anchoring the track in a gloriously hypnotic yet fresh way.

Klamauk are very pleased to announce the upcoming release of the Palm Saturdays EP by new label signing Johannes Albert. With his first release coming in 2010 on Oskar Offerman's White, Johannes has been very busy since then with a string of EPs and one LP across some very exciting labels. Albert's exceptional talent and sound made him an ideal partner to work with the label. And when you throw an excellent Christopher Rau remix into the equation, you end up with a very exciting EP indeed.
The 4 track EP kicks off with the warm and open groover of 'Frentic Moment' which sets things up nicely. From here we move on to Christopher Rau's remix which keeps some of the dreamy elements of the original but this time underpins everything with a jacking 808 rhythm workout. Over on the flipside Johannes brings the tempo down with 'Lift Me Up Tight' which is a gorgeous, beatdown bubbler with pulsing organ stabs and half heard vocal samples. Last but not least we have 'A Door I Only Opened Once' which again is a low tempo number but rather than the laid back feel of the previous track, this is brooding and intense.

For its seventh release, Baud delves into deep techno territory, courtesy of Munich-based producer LaChriz. With previous releases on Dario and Marco Zenker's Illian Tape and on Woods 'N Bass and Outelectronic Recordings, LaChriz has been honing his craft, producing straightforward techno music with an edge, an often sublimated dub techno influence and an ambient feel.
His first E.P. for Baud features the voraciously clubby 'Nothing Goes To Waste', an undeniable dancefloor monster that starts swirling around itself with its hypnotic chords and a subtle melodic counterpoint. From thereon after, LaChriz takes a more introspective route, delivering three tracks that capture the melancholy and abstraction of the late night. Rhythmically trickier and melodically more layered, they give this record its balanced feel without detaching it from adventurous dancefloors. Baud 07 is a techno release at heart and as such has a classic techno edge. Its classy production and smart programming propel it into the future.

Rick Wilhite delivers a super strong collection of songs & tracks made by producers coming from either New York, Chicago or Detroit. This is part 2 in a 2 volume album.

The first vinyl edition of the label Moonrise Hill Material presents the differents artists work which will composed the label. Funk to ambient, with proper jazzmen groove, where the house music predominate and appears like gold in every tracks with something which united them. The vinyl starts with « Fucked Up Jazzmen », powerful track with jazz and hip hop influences from Folamour, french producer which the last release on FauxPas Musik is a love declaration to the sampling and to the 20's grooves until today. Next listen with « Jack My Sista » from Kaffe Crème, french producer who takes the auditor in a perpetual modulation of the pads and bass under a syncopated rhythmic, between a real game and the TR-808. There is passion and percussions talent that comes to his classic formation in acadamy. The other side begins with « Manhattune » from Ethyène, soul anthem from 70's mixed to a proper Chicago deep house rhythmic. After a empty period, the french producer annonces his next releases for the coming months, where samples and groove found a paramount place. The release ends on « Cosmic Spirals » from the lyonese Okwa, who reveals his love to the electronic sounds for a half path ballade between dark walks and dance floors. After a great EP « Preacher », in which he develops a returns to the 90's house music.

It is by now no secret that the sounds of the kick drums echoing off the hills of the Tennessee valley have been singlehandedly redefining what we know to be truly Proper for the better part of a decade now. However, the faces of those that make up this new world order have remained largely in the shadows. As such we are beyond excited to bring Tennessee's two most elite producers, Memphis's Will Azada and Knoxville's Alex Falk, back to CGI. 'The Illuminati Traqckx' EP is a split 12" powerful enough to knock the Earth so far off of it's axis that even Jeff Mills's mothership won't be able to swing it back on track.


The A side see's the first 2 new cuts from Will Azada (under his given name, at least) to hit wax since his untouchable Cliché EP for CGI in 2013. Two sides of the same coin, both "Flutterbutt" and "The Illuminati Traqckx" anchor a living, breathing, spacious rhythm scape around a deep thudding kick, expertly crafted percussion workouts, and airy chord stabs to create an otherworldly and immersive environment in which to lose your mind and find your body. Consider these cuts a master class in maintaining momentum.


Flipping over to the AA side, Alex Falk tones down the atmospherics but not the intensity with two cuts of classic Falk-style techno bombs. "MR1" kicks it off with a massive kick drum anchoring a polyrhythmic monosynth and dancing white noise to create a driving cut that is as beautifully simple as it is gripping. For "Blazeit," the EP's final cut, Falk keeps the rolling monosynth/kick drum dynamic that made "MR1" so irresistible but this time colors it with hi-hats and what sounds like a sample of someone who took too deep of an inhale, expertly arranged so the intensity never stops building. No handclaps required.

This time, the marvellous nighttime world of Buenos Aires is reflected by the rhythms and sounds of Carisma (Carolina Stegmayer and Ismael Pinkler), who live together in the centre of the South American capital. Since three years they are delivering these tracks directly (directamente) from their flat through the city's dark alleys to its underground venues - producing music to play it right away, written in a dialogue between studio and booth, at the Djs Pareja's legendary FUN FUN parties, the famous Dengue nights, and other spots...

After releasing their Cómeme DJ's favourite 'Muerte Instrumental', and having done remixes for local friends such as Djs Pareja (La Risa EP, Huntley & Palmers), Ana Helder (One Night in Cómeme Vol. 3) & Rumanians (Dengue Dancing Records), Cómeme is overwhelmingly happy to present their first full EP, Directamente.

'No Frills (Dub)' plays off a rugged, strippedback rhythm, built around a classic 4/4 foundation, while popping percussion, warbling dub-tinged bass and infectious vocal murmurs meander around the drums.
The end result is a refined contemporary roller designer for the dance floor.

Berlin-based producer Lapien serves up an atmospheric three tracker on Radio Slave's Rekids.
Also known as Metropolis or one half of Artefakt, Nick Lapien's last three releases have landed on Finale Sessions, Fred P's Soul People Music and DVS1's Mistress Recordings. Releasing on Rekids, the multifaceted Dutch artist's next outing features three mesmerising cuts with the dusky 'A Change Is Gonna Come' initiating the package using infectious hats, subtle sub-bass and an indistinguishable vocal that ebbs subtly in and out of the mix.
'As It Is' is the most robust number on the package with its undulating percussion and moody chords taking centre stage, until 'Vexed' concludes everything with gloomy pads, shuffling hats and echoing effects.

The story of Turmfalke continues, this time featuring Helly Larson with a great dub flavoured track called "Rescue Me" programmed in a deep downtempo manner and acompannied by an acidish remix of Matthias Springer. The original of Matthias comes based on detroit elements and a gentle 303 string while Helly's remix made it into a synthesis of deep techhouse and directly into the playlist of Mr. Hawtin!

Reflections is the Spectral Sound debut of Nautiluss, the primary project from Toronto's Graham Bertie. His career began, as many do, with practicing mixing records in his bedroom before cutting his teeth in warehouse raves in Montreal. After many collaborations and heavy touring early in his career, Bertie has chosen to stay in more than go out, leading to a new direction in his music. Don't let this lead you to believe he's a slouch in the live department. Bertie has performed live at the influential MUTEK Festival and Panorama Bar in Berlin, showcasing his flexibility and expertise with all manner of instrumentation - analog and digital, hard and soft, improvised and structured. He has also been found spinning at iconic clubs such as Trouw, Panorama Bar, Dance Tunnel and his favorite local grotto, Toronto's Bambi's, performing alongside talent such as Mike Servito, Octo Octa, and Galcher Lustwerk.
The tracks from the Reflections EP emphasize this dichotomy - tracks which are equally suited for the dancefloor and headphones. EP opener "Odyssey" begins with eerie chords and shuffling drums, constantly shifting underneath a layer of analog hiss and twinkling piano vamps. "Kodama" is darker and moodier, with deep chords, square wave basslines, and clenched hi-hats. "Alphaville" is acid by ways of the Nostromo spacecraft of Ridley Scott's Alien - hisses, clangs, and yelps cavort amongst a lone triangle, laser sounds, and high-speed flybys. "Lonely Planet" closes out the EP with radar pings and classic deep Rhodes chords.

Oliver Deutschmann is a producer that needs no introduction. Over the last 15 years, his reputation as a producer and DJ has seen continued growth down to, quite simply, his pure passion, diverse track selection and an unambiguous mixing ability.

He has lit up both rooms of world-renowned clubbing institute, Berghain, where he has played dozens of times since first playing there almost ten years ago. Whilst keeping up with this kind of extensive touring schedule, and being heavily invested in his own productions, the Berlin based artist also finds the time to take the helm of four imprints: Vidab, Falkplatz, Slim Audio and the vinyl only imprint GKNSTR.

Beyond his own labels though he has released on Soma, Aim, Etruria Beat, Mobilee, and now returns to Swiss imprint, Caduceus, following his Breakdown EP last year.

In a recent interview with Inverted Audio, Deutschmann summed up his clear, dancefloor focussed approach which can be heard on Flangers, stating I don't really care about any achievement. They (the tracks) have to rock the floor and be timeless. This new EP sets that straight right away, laying out the agenda for what is to follow.

Flangers opens with the dark, gravelly, brooding, and heads down techno of the title track - a lengthy, spacious workout which manages still to cut a deep groove despite it's direct driving force. Similarly, 'Beast' paces itself, slowly unfolding all of its treasures as it grows, swells and shapeshifts over the course of just over five minutes of sustained tension.

On the flip, two heavyweight producers step up to the remix: Germany's Markus Suckut and Dutch producer, Jeroen Search. Suckut's interpretation of Flangers keeps much of the understated groove and tension of the original whilst dipping it in a more shrouded cloak of murky techno. Jeroen Search on the other hand pitches up the pace with a crisp, high-hat driven dive into the deep.

Padez is a producer from a town near Mannheim which meant growing up fully submersed into the vibrant electronic music movement of Mannheim and Frankfurt area, but his influences grow roots deeper into the golden age of hip-hop, as well as Jazz, Soul, Funk etc.
He started producing in 2009, sharing music just in between a circle of friends, and it was not until 2013 that he had his first digital release out on Basti Grub's Hoehenregler Records.
In the meantime he took the chance to dive deeper into the sound with his friends Sedee.
Releases on Valioso Recordings and Medeia Records among others can be expected as a result of this collaboration.
The Love Reloaded EP on Kanzyani's Jesus Loved You label is his third vinyl release and a homage to the music he is essentially influenced by.
The EP features 3 intrinsically groovy tracks, permeated with heavy baselines and driven by upbeat, slightly broken rhythm patterns, oozing a sublime soulful vibe at the same time. Truly a dance-floor delight!

Celebrating 10 years as a label, Rekids founder Radio Slave delivers a mesmerizing production with a remix from Ostgut Ton's Marcel Dettmann.
Since its birth in 2006 Matt Edwards' Rekids has played host to some of today's most renowned names in house and techno, including the likes of Nina Kraviz, Roman Flu¨gel, Shed and Mr. G. With releases on the likes of R&S and Running Back, Radio Slave is one of the world's finest producers, whose dance-floor focused cuts earned him the title of Resident Advisor's most charted artist of 2015.
Radio Slave's 'Vision' is a dusky number possessing popping kicks and ebbing pads that meander forward as a murky voice proclaims the track title. Meanwhile, Marcel Dettmann's remix distorts the original whilst emphasising the low-end to give it a dark and ominous aesthetic.

The Sixth Release on Alan Fitzpatrick's Explore, Search and Discover label. Alan Fitzpatrick recruits fellow Southampton talent Rhymos, to provide the soundtrack on this techno heavy release.

Flumo's mainstay Ekkohaus returns, this time bringing a full-bodied package for the dance floor. Suitably, Far Fetcher acts as a warm welcome, inviting the listener inside its richly deep analogue soundscapes, reminiscent of deeper sides of classic house rhythms that have come from the USA. It's pace provides a perfect way to start off the EP while the synth-vocal creates a soulful depth.Things get darker and more aggressive with Musketeers, a dub-heavy rhythm that drives one to involuntary movement due to its relentless repetition and & subtle swing. The amalgamation of the synth along with the pulsating sub invigorates one to move and bounce along with these elements.
Fantasy provides the penultimate party vibe. It's funkiness transcends & the melodies drive the vocals to the extent of ecstasy.Rounding off the EP 64 Bars features vocals by Arthur Russel, the synth inflicted break progressions capture the vibe of Ekkohaus live sets with Its haunting chants hinting towards techno and while its warmth never escapes.

For the best part of a decade, Fred Peterkin has impressed with his ultra-deep, soul-flecked take on deep house and techno. Here, his Soul People Music imprint gives birth to a new sub-label, Energy of Sound, with the New York producer delivering a double-pack's worth of previously unreleased cuts. Naturally, the standard is abnormally high throughout, with Peterkin variously serving up sumptuous, dreamy fare ("Down Under", the San Francisco '90s deep house revivalism of "Don't Be Afraid"), chunkier deep house rollers ("Memory P"), crunchy dub house ("Dub In The Sky"), and throbbing, tech-tinged brilliance ("Tokyo To Chiba" and the European-sounding "Sybian").

For more than a decade, Jimmy Edgar has experimented in sound structure and design, utilising an array of digital and analog hardware to release delphic signings on Warp, !K7 and Hotflush. After launching his enigmatic label Ultramajic in 2013, the Detroit born space cadet delves into mystic philosophy with his latest metaphysical embodiment.

Following on from Lando's July release, the forthcoming EP 'Shine' sees a continuation in pulsating chunky house chords with an industrialised varnish. The gargantuan brawn and weight of 'Let me tell you' ensures crowd-pleasing thump. This theme then slightly diverts, with the synthetic minimalism of 'The Dip Chair' and 'Two of Wands'. However, Edgar harks back to earlier influences in his career with 'Feel what it is', embodying Detroit house seen through R&B elements, reflective of his hometown influences.

The best records have a story, they form part of a journey, different characters emerge and the good music always rises to the fore. In the case of the latest record from Scottish producer Jack Eye Jones and the legendary Junior Sanchez this is certainly true. Cocaine Blues is a step into the unknown in some respects but in another way, it's a record that seems to fit in perfectly with today's electronic music landscape.
Originally written by T.J "Red" Arnall in 1947 the song reached worldwide prominence thanks to a certain Johnny Cash and it remains one of the seminal records of his career. Always one to draw inspiration from different genres the record inspired some late night to early morning (6am to be precise) experimentation from Jack Eye Jones alongside longtime friend and member of Alabama 3 (the group behind the infamous Sopranos theme tune among many other iconic records), Rev D. Wayne Love at the band's renowned Brixton Jamm studio. With 12 albums and 16 hit singles under his belt, his vast experience proved an invaluable asset during the momentous studio session.
What emerged from the process were some stunning, emotion laden recordings and a platform to develop the project into something for dancefloors around the world.
It was missing one thing however, that little sprinkling of the underground, this is a track for the nighttime and it was alongside close friend Junior Sanchez that this deep,
dark rework was brought to life.
The groove infused track that emerged is an accomplished one, a track equally at home in the main room of Space Ibiza or the outdoor arena's of the world's festivals.
The record will be released as a double sided vinyl this August (as well as on all digital outlets). Alongside the original will be a house infused lounge mix, complete with a devastating piano riff and a sweet summer vibe.

This year experienced the birth of Frazer Campbell's deeper imprint Elliot project recordings . The London based label launched back in spring with a real statement piece, composed of detailed minimal, late night seductive twinkles and a drone styled techno piece. The labels projected thought process for the future is to navigate through a varied soundscape of deeper excursions and thoughtful techno. This second EP with two originals from Frazer, also includes a remix from highly Respected UK musician Tom Ellis who increases the heat on the track 'light' with a energetic but thoughtful techno re work.

Half Baked Records is back with his fifth offering, presenting the solo Ep of French dj & producer Robin Ordell. On top of having released on Eklo, Robin is one of the historical residents of Half Baked, an artist present in the family from day one, growing together with the project while bringing his own touch to it, a delicate balance between light and darkness, drive and delicateness. Robin infuses power to his tracks via a no compromise formula on drums; tight old school rhythms that are then cleverly fused with expert sound design and minimalist aesthetic, showing a lot of maturity in his productions skills. The A1, Five Majors, is a perfect example of this balance, a dramatic club twister that has all the ingredients to rock a dancefloor, while preserving a touch of elegance. The A2, Nobody Loves Bishopgate, has a an eerie underwater feeling, slowly numbing you with his bubbly bass and filtered melodies, but still keeping you afloat with his funky swing. On the flipside we find the remix of Vera, a 'djs' dj' and renowned producer for her releases on Perlon and Oslo to name a few. Vera strips it down, emphasizing the drugged out atmospheres and delivering an hypnotic laidback re-interpretation that will no doubt be the highlight of many morning sets this summer. The B2, Kosma, is the 'brightest' cut of the record where jazzy chords alternate with playful stabs, teasing you throughout the whole the track.

The Bright Future Side on the fip, on the contrary, is made for the club: B1 is a house banger with one of the most fun breaks in a long time, B2 brings you the summer right onto your turntable.

Camea steps out of the shadows and heads towards Never where as her new imprint lands this Spring. The Seattle born-Berliner local first became known in 2005 when she started one of the minimal techno era's most illustrious labels, Clink Recordings. Now she comes forth with a new label that was inspired by her highly acclaimed Bpitch Control single of the same title, which she subsequently furthered with her monthly syndicate show, Never where Radio. NWR has had many guests contributing DJ mixes as well as her own, and has received a strong international following. For the first release, Camea has produced three elegant yet driving tracks showing her ever broadening sound. Most artists try to define themselves in one genre, but she feels most comfortable in the space in between them, and aims to focus the concept of Never where to be a place for just that. All things in between; less definition and more imagination. Her many years of production and DJ experience shine through on this EP, and defines her statement of who she is as an artist today.

Soniculture continues its series of underground releases with tracks from famous artists that are on a secret mission. Physical format will be on vinyl with black sleeves and no information whatsoever about the artists. We are just disclosing the number of tracks and the running time of each one. After the success of the great kick-off for this series, now we have
another amazing release with three tracks from a really reputable artist that has left his mark in the techno scene for many years now. A1 is simply fantastic. Dark, groovy, hypnotic are just a few of the styles that we can find in this truly original track, which has always been our secret favorite, and now finally sees the light of day. Hoorrraaaayyyyy!!!
B1 is a techno builder that evolves from beginning to end and is aimed to ignite madness on the dance floors. Beware! Contains hazardous ingredients. B2 is an old school acid track with a modern touch and strong bassline. It cannot go more underground than this, which makes us feel quite happy in an evil sort of way. Having made a brief appearance on Omnidisc alongside Danny Daze on the 'Four' EP, Drvg Cvltvre steps into the spotlight for a full solo release. A prolific producer from an underground punk DIY background, Vincent Koreman AKA Drvg Cvltvre was previously known for his experimental techno releases as RA- X in the '90s, on labels such as Bunker and KK Records. Stepping up to the new Omnidisc imprint, he delivers an EP packed with uniquely gritty, yet melodic techno weapons
