Unblock label boss Tuccillo strikes again with another solid release with the EP Black Talk. This is the 5th release on this respected vinyl only imprint that has previously showcased talent such as Tomoki Tamura and Djebali but this time, comes from Tuccillo himself with his unmistakable signature sound.
Headlining track "Black Talk" has a great rolling baseline with plenty of swing with some subtle vocal snippets thrown in here and there."Ride on" has a tougher edge with some old school flavours driven by a rhythmic snare with lots of energy perfect for the height of club DJ set Shopwork offers a more percussive sound over an infectious warm chunky groove, again with some cool short reggae influenced vocal snippets. A timeless release that can stay in the box.

Keith Worthy The Price of Non-Conformance Long established Detroit talent Keith Worthy traverses a fine line between deep, bumpy house and raw techno on his debut double album, The Price of Non-Conformance. T.P.O.N.C. is a conceptual project that takes you on a virtual walk through the streets of Detroit. From a musical standpoint, the sound and feel of T.P.O.N.C. aligns with Worthy's own DNA, a complex blend of house and techno, and all while incorporating a degree of fantasy into every composition.

Stallone the Reducer's debut release on EST. 83 Records, a division of the FIT SOUND label. Stallone has been kickin' around in various guises and outfits for a generation (Tamion 12 Inch, Adult., Bad Thoughts) always delivering a distinctly anarchic take on synthesizer and drum machine composition. The EP opens with "Drug Pusher"- system shredding bass unevenly paired with 808 gravity that comes on like Young Boys Inc. taking the lead in a slasher flick. You're already dead before the dinky disco arpeggio lends a hand to squeeze. "Cop Gets Off" - a double sided protest sign. It says fuck you' but it says fuck me' too. On the flip, you better call shotgun before you "Do The Seatbelt!", and other crazes for well behaved kiddos. Non-triggering guaranteed. Rounding out the legalese suite is "Trade Show" - a slinky cauldron of brzap and flower power - sounding just like candy hiding in the electrical socket that you'll happily lure out with yr tongue.

big with: Andrew Grant, Brothers' Vibe, Damian Lazarus, Maya Jane Coles, Mr G, Tensnake, Huxley , Terry Farley,.. The Holic Trax label has released a wealth of well-formed house and techno from the likes of Mr.G, Rick Wade and Tuccillo before now, and on April 30th the label offers up its second compilation. Put together by label boss Tomoki Tamura, the selection features a
range of artists old and new and will be released on two slabs of vinyl as well as digitally, with an extra bonus track. Tomoki is probably one of the most successful Japanese DJs in the world having held down residencies at places like The End as well as running his own Holic events, and now proves he also has a
great ear for A&R with the tracks he pulls together here. First up is MÔME aka Bertrand Lacroix, a big collector of phonographs who owns a lot of 78RPM American Jazz records. His 'The Good The Big The Bad' is firmly rooted to the ground with its big air kicks and grinding drums.

After the success of Aboutface's debut EP on Amirali's Dark Matters Imprint in October of 2015, Aboutface performed his project 'Vaga' the River Wye as a metaphorical representation of the journey of humanity, live at Freerotation (2016), the performance was also broadcast on NTS Radio on 16/7/16. Following this mesmerising and exploratory project, the young London based composer and DJ returns with a new release. 'In The Tepid Shine We Breathe' is due out on the 19th of September.
The three track EP opens with 'In The Tepid Shine We Breathe feat. Darker', Aboutface's subtle skill imbues his work with a stillness and precision even when blending analogue forms of media 'such as 1/4" tape, Cassettes and VHS as a part of the sonic palette,' he is able to create additional depth in his music. Darker aka Jenna Whelan's Vocals gently break the tumbling elements with an airy beauty.
'There Must Be Chaos Within You To Give Birth To A Dancing Star', the second track on the EP showcases Aboutface's use of field recordings, light rain spatters the ground as a warbling synth line gradually becomes bolder. Eventually this is joined by a simple drum pattern, somehow managing to maintain the eery melancholia Aboutface is so adept at creating.
Redshape steps up for a remix of the title track. He highlights the vocal sample before rearranging the drums into a punchier and more streamlined rhythm. The track morphs into a dance floor heater, perfectly complimenting the slower pace of the originals with a faster and straightforward approach.

"made of CONCRETE" release number 11 sees a joint effort from Danny Kotz and Avi Caspi in the form of an incursion into the deep end of spacious techno.
"Reject" unfolds steadily, as spatial loops intertwine with piercing zippy synths. The laid back melodic outline is aptly layered with sombre French vocals by Laurie Eve Jasmine de Larohe which giving the track a mysterious yet groovy appeal.
Starting off with a subdued bassline, "Canopy" follows a slowly ascending groove, as progressive synths and wavy hooks further the track into deep tech territory.
For the B side, Myles Sergé swiftly jumps in on the "Reject" remix, stripping down its embellishing elements and shifting focus towards the bassline. What ensues is a compact backdrop where the bass and percussion take the lead, resulting in an intensely danceable reinterpretation of the original.
Stepping away from the murky ambiance present in previous tracks, "Karat" boosts a slightly more vivacious range of harmonics. Energetic synths set a peppy, 70s-reminiscing mood, while the melody keeps the cut anchored into present day electronica.

As an export of one of the fastest rising electronic hotbeds in the UK, established Belfast DJ and producer Jordan is developing his eponymous night into a brand new label for 2016. Featuring on point and house and techno from the man himself, Nocturne will also call upon plenty of high profile remixers and really aims to keep the spotlight on the exciting Northern Irish scene.
Nocturne, which started out as an illicit afterhours gathering and has also spawned a weekly Saturday offshoot, The Night Institute, is a party that is very much setting the local agenda and as such has gotten plenty of kudos thanks to tasteful bookings like Roman Flugel, Session Victim and Gerd Janson.
After the success of the parties, the logical next step is to develop the brand into an outlet for quality club beats. The man behind it all is Jordan McCuaig, someone who has impressed with releases on Luke Solomon's Classic Music Company, Extended Play and Made Fresh Daily. Like his home city, he is very much a star on the rise, as this first new EP on his own label proves.
Expert opener 'Killing Mockingbirds' is a jostling, busy cut with warm and dubby drums, loose claps and a fat bass line that rips right through the middle. It's fresh and inviting and has some well sculpted synths to add colour and heat. On remix duties first is Borrowed Identity, one of the breakout stars of recent times who releases on DVS1's Mistress label and the infamous Ostgut Ton. His take on the original is expressive indeed, and the result is a peak time cut with hulking drums, catch chords and knotted bass riffs that really get you going.
Next, 'The Block' is a classically inclined house cut with a wild and rich bassline spraying about between pinging kick drums, spangled synths and explosive snares and is a truly dynamic workout that will make every dance floor jack. The last of the originals is 'Strung Out', and it has rinsing breakbeats, wild, pitchbending tones and a dark jungle energy that makes it perfect for freakier late night sessions.
This one gets remixed in style by Adesse Versions, the acclaimed British techno talent who runs his own label and relates his killer wares on others like Numbers and Local Talk. In his hands it is an expansive, tough house groove with punchy kicks and perfectly smeared synths bringing a great sense of soul to the table. This is the start of a sure to be exciting new label that pays homage to its local roots as well as to Jordan's own well informed dance music understanding. As such, you should waste no time in getting behind it.

Camea steps out of the shadows and heads towards Neverwhere as her new imprint lands this Spring. The Seattle born-Berliner local first became known in 2005 when she started one of the minimal techno era's most illustrious labels, Clink Recordings. Now she comes forth with a new label that was inspired by her highly acclaimed Bpitch Control single of the same title, which she subsequently furthered with her monthly syndicate show, Neverwhere Radio. NWR has had many guests contributing DJ mixes as well as her own, and has received a strong international following. For the first release, Camea has produced three elegant yet driving tracks showing her ever broadening sound. Most artists try to define themselves in one genre, but she feels most comfortable in the space in between them, and aims to focus the concept of Neverwhere to be a place for just that. All things in between; less definition and more imagination. Her many years of
production and DJ experience shine through on this EP, and defines her statement of who she is as an artist today.

The latest release from Guy Gerber's respected RUMORS label comes in the form of this 4-track EP from elusive producer Clarian. A regular Guy Gerber collaborator and remixer, Clarian has also recently released on the likes of Anjunadeep, Turbo, Life and Death, Supplement Facts and My Favourite Robot. Despite his mysterious persona, Clarian is regularly booked to play slots at some of the world's best clubs; Fabric, Watergate, and Output to name just a few.
This new EP is an exemplary slice of the kind of deep, enigmatic techno that RUMORS has become well known for, all whilst showcasing Clarian's own unique, imagery-filled style. Title track 'Fear and Self-Loathing' is a dark, dreamy soundscape of exotic Arabian flutes, subtle acid stabs and echoing synths that plays out like a hallucinatory trip through the desert. Hunter Game, who has provided the first remix on the A-side, takes things down a grittier road of rolling techno, led by a stomping bassline and distorted stabs.
Meanwhile, the second remix on the B-side comes courtesy of Christian Burkhardt, who has switched up the pace for his 'Vegas' take on the record; sliding, tense synths are offset by driving drums and flickers of whispering vocals, lending the track a cinematic, car-chase-esque feel.
'Absence' is the last track included on the EP from Clarian. Cascading electronic arpeggios are underpinned by a strong beat, building up to an echoing excerpt from a classic French film - a couple reflecting on love ends with the female confessing that she wants to leave, giving the track a sombre edge.
A well-produced four tracks showcasing varying shades of the techno spectrum, the 'Fear and Self Loathing' EP is set to further cement both Clarian's status as a unique producer, as well as RUMORS' well-deserved reputation as a reliable source of high-quality music.

Globetrotting DJ and producer Luca Venezia, better known as Curses, indulges in his nocturnal and romantic side, revealing a penchant for dark basslines. 'Jetzt Oder Nie' opens proceedings with a straightforward bass and infectious arpeggio line. Sebastian Voigt's reinterpretation keeps the focus in the deep techno territory, introducing a steady paced and anxious facet. Stepping into an industrial influenced soundscape, 'Power Of Darkness' revolves around the hypnotic vocal hook, gradually
transcending the listener into a late-night dancefloor trance. 'Infinity Maker' plays on the mesmerising repetition of the initial coarse drum pads, resulting in a straight-up techno tool. The synth lead stays in the deep end, progressing to a beautifully dubby and atmospheric finale.

RECORD STORE DAY 2016 RULES APPLY
Original release date -Nov 1988.
Late 88 Acid House swept a cross the UK, as it took its hold in The Midlands, 17 year old budding DJ, locally know as Carl Boy was easy influenced by this amazing new sound and decided to purchased as much Acid as he could get his hands on and put on his own Acid House night.
2nd Sep 1988 'The Ecstasy Club' club night road block a small function room upstairs at The Power House nightclub in Birmingham. Lots of fun was had by all, the crowds chanted ACID ACID ACID into the night as they danced franticly to new funky sound of Acid House.
Less than 2 days later Birmingham's own tabloid The Sunday Mercury ran with the headline, 'SEX AND DRUGS DANCE CRAZE HITS BIRMINGHAM.'
The story went on to tell the tail of youngsters being corrupted by this evil new scene at The Ecstasy Club 2 nights before. 'This craze should be stamped on from a great height' was one Conservative MP's comment. The owners of the club the ironically named MECCA Leisure Ltd shut down the function room and banded Acid House from all its venues. This controversy caught the eye of Birmingham independent record label Swordfish Records who suggested this should be followed up by The Ecstasy Club's release of an Acid House single. Dj Carl Boy was thrust into a local studio with a Roland 101 an 808 a sequencer and an engineer. 3 hours later a track was written recorded and mix and 3 weeks later in Nov 1988 'Jesus Loves The Acid' by The Ecstasy Club was release on Swordfish Records as a 12'single. Tiago's INTERZONA 13 label has quietly gone about its business across three acclaimed and sell-out EP's
His unique reputation as a DJ is matched by the distinctive and unrivaled quality of his productions
For his fourth outing Tiago treads an arguably more experimental path, and using Sem Titulo (Untitled in Portuguese) on three of the cuts here only adds to the mysterious nature of the sonic treats within.
Present, as always are the deft rhythm sections and powerful arrangements, as subtle elements of Disco, Techno & New Wave provide the bedrock for his trademark off kilter melodies and soundscaping.

Since her first single - City Watch Over Me', Seattle-born and Berlin-based Camea is one of the most emerging artists on BPitch Control. After her dub/electronica contribution - Love On The Balcony' for last year's - Where The Wind Blows' compilation, the latest - Neverwhere EP' encourages her sense of space-filling grooves and perfectly shaped melodies. Now appearing with four remixes, all interpretations show and add new facets to - Neverwhere'.
At the beginning, the Berlin-based Deadbeat provides - Black Sparrow' with a few sinister soundscapes that wins in emerging from the background - despite the rudimentary acid hints. The straight rhythm sparked a dynamic aura that consists of both, shy chords and almost inter terrestrial sounds - a dub-infected fibrillation with minimal spleen. Camea herself shorten up the length of her own track - Neverwhere' without reducing the sex appeal of bass and groove. Her emotional DJ tool version let the love for melody-driven tech house remain - a jewel for the first rays of sunshine after a long night. Following some excellent releases on Hotflush Recordings, the Belgian Locked Groove not only loop Camea's voice for his version of - Moon Walk Away', but also let the 303 make some sweet-talking circles. The acid spirals only deceive the muscle play, while the strings add some reverent grace to this piece. Finally Lee Jones radiates a profound magic that emphasizes the benefits of "Dream Of You". While a corrugated iron bass line enters into a dialogue with the illustrious semi-bleep-driven accents, the naturalistic setting takes us into a deep house meditation that embodies one thing for sure: sunken comfort.

Debut EP of Cream Soda duo incl. remixes from Volta Cab (UA), Sasha Khizhnyakov (RU), Kings of the Universe (SE), Dirty Culture (RO)! Cream Soda - one of the most promising house projects in CIS. After only a year of producing house music, the duo's tracks have ended up in DJ sets by XXXY, Jimmy Edgar, Bondax, and DJ Caspa; the pair have featured on international blogs like OnlyVibez and in glossy magazines like FHM. Tracks from Cream Soda are spinning in spots on Fashion TV and since the end of 2013 have been taken in rotation on Megapolis FM. Since January 2014 guys started their own radio show on Megapolis FM (89.5 fm) and personal NO ME Podcast. Band already predicting a great future, comparing it with Disclosure, and Bondax, and, in our opinion, Cream Soda - it is a sincere 'festive' house music with right groove of the 90s, which would be appropriate in almost any good club.
