op.disc's highly acclaimed 2013 double pack from Radiq aka yoshihiro HANNO receives some heavy reworking from three of his label mates, Fumiya Tanaka, Akiko Kiyama and AOKI takamasa.
Fumiya Tanaka's reinterpretation provides an extensive, deep down edition of 'Vida Noir' and renders the original beats into a minimal bass behemoth of a track that clocks in at almost ten minutes.
Akiko Kiyama shows her peerless talent in her revision of 'Rondo'. The beats and pieces are sticking like glue each other to render exotic and mesmerizing aspect of Radiq's original. AOKI takamasa shows his further involvement into minimalism on his version of 'Calling', channels a micro-house groove into a multilayered beast.

A key member of the Minus family for almost a decade, Jon Gaiser is to release his lead single 'Krakdup' preceding his full length release 'False Light' in November. Since 2005, Gaiser has been at the heart of the minimal techno movement. His hugely atmospheric EPs and LPs have always explored the darker, more stripped back and abstract edges of the dancefloor and have often done so in conjunction with immersive and complimentary live visuals. Says Gaiser of his working methods: 'I've always been a big fan of analog gear, both old and new. I'm also a big fan of new digital technologies that create sounds that have never been heard before. I prefer to have the best of both analog and digital worlds working together, to make the most creatively flexible production environment as possible.' As well as working as VOID, Gaiser is also a revered live performer who creates immersive on-the-fly soundscapes using Ableton MIDI controllers and Maschine, and regularly performs at some of the world's best festivals and club nights, including Hawtin's own ENTER. nights at Space Ibiza. A trained percussionist and sometime punk rock drummer, around the age of 15 Gaiser discovered the underground techno scene in Detroit and 'was completely intrigued by the energy of the music' and so began collecting drum machines, synthesizers and FX units to build a studio in his teens. Before long he impressed techno innovator Richie Hawtin, was signed to Minus and soon began releasing on the seminal label. Playing in Europe so often meant the natural thing for him to do was to move to Berlin, and it is from there that his sound has flourished. An extensive tour is planned to support the album, featuring a brand new visual show, created by accomplished Turkish artist and director Ahmet Said Kaplan. The 'Tape Jam EP' is Patrick Vano's fourth release on Berlin-based label Mo's Ferry. The A side 'Rhythm Disease' crackles and rumbles in this typical sound Mo's Ferry is known for. 'Drone Shadows' on the flip is much quiter and Vano plays the Techno bow in wide and flowing moves - best suitable for the later party hours. With the bonus track 'Controlled Curves' Patrick Vano returns to the dance floor - even more focused and driven with its sawing lead bass. Kevin Saunderson's KMS imprint is a label that should require no introduction. The motor city label has been a Techno mainstay since it's inception in 1987.

Numerous Detroit luminaries have released classic after classic on the labels hallowed grooves over the last 25+ years and it's influence is still felt in contemporary dance music today. The idea behind the KMS "Origins" series is to shine a light on the lesser known cuts in the KMS vaults as well as the classics that have given the label it's legendary status during it's lifetime. Kicking off EP 001 are Intercity, a collaborative effort between Saunderson, Derrick May and James "Suburban Knight" Pennington. "Groovin without doubt" is the track featured and is typical of the stripped back machine funk that would emanate from Detroit in the coming decades, originally released in 1987 the track still sounds killer on today's dancefloors! Following is the legendary Stacey Pullen aka Cosmic Messenger with his deep, melodic "Soundscape (Intricate mix)", released in 1993 on KMS offshoot label Eclipse the track pushes a supremely futuristic edge that showcases Pullen's prowess as a producer who is often unfairly underrated. Still sounding like it's from another planet "Soundscape" continues to excite and remain contemporary. Side B begins with some classic KMS breakbeat / Rave stylings from Master Reese himself, "You're Mine" is a sample heavy cut n paste monster from 1990, the "original mix" is featured here and still sounds like it weighs a ton, drop this one on a big system and watch the crowd lose it. Often imitated, never bettered! Rounding out the EP we have E-Dancer's "Pump the move", a stripped back, almost tribalish jam from 1991. This is some direct, heads down, dark dancefloor material, driving drums and synth stabs are woven through loose drum programming to create a "runaway train" feeling. Definitely one for the peak time dancefloors! "Origins" 001 will appeal to those who are new to KMS and will serve as the perfect entry point, it will also appeal to the diehard fans who dig that hardcore Detroit sound!

Following a year hiatus, Hottrax returns to make serious impact with 'Eno Minimal' from U.S. native DMS12. Veteran techno producer The Model is also onboard to remix delivering a high energy cut of futuristic electronica.
Label boss Jamie Jones rediscovered the original track explaining 'I had it in a playlist in 2015 for ages and finally dropped it in my all night long session with Seth Troxler at The Warehouse Project. The place went crazy and Seth asked me 'what the f**k is this" I've since played it on some huge stages and it's insane, no matter where I am it grabs people and slaps them into space.'
DMS12 is a DJ and producer from New York. The Model is a DJ and producer from Romania, founder and owner of the label Adult Central.

Argentina has a rich history when it comes to dance music and Gonzalo Solimano is one of the country's finest electronic flag-bearers. With his Unlock Recordings imprint he's created a heavy back-catalogue that the likes of Barem, Guti, Luca M and Daniel Sanchez have all contributed to.

After a short break Solimano is back with his 'Factor H' EP and the original mix is a tropical, cow bell laden treat, one that sums up the nation's sound nicely. On remix duty is both Fase and fellow Argentinian maestro Guti.

The producer's last full-length was the jazz-inspired 'Rompecorazones' and now a remix LP is set to follow but here we focus on his amazing edit of 'Factor H'.

Guti has maintained the percussive elements of the original but added a significant amount of groove and focused on adding in thick kick drums and more drive. It's one you can imagine on the terraces or at 4am in a darkened room and this is why Guti is such a don. Check it.

The tireless NIBC returns to the spotlight for the next instalment of his Trunkfunk Records imprint. With each of the label's releases revealing his on-point A&R instincts, and all of his productions and remixes confirming a command of the studio, Love Lesson is a future classic that adds yet another shade to NIBC's rich palette.

NIBC's original version of "Love Lesson" is a slow-burn secret weapon that identifies the essential elements of house music magic, featuring a hard-knock life vocal with an uplifting message, unexpected changes of gear and atmospheric pauses, and moments of pure, uplifting, floor-shaking abandon. As always, there's more than meets the ear on a NIBC production: a buried vocal loop beneath the tight drum programming drives its low-end momentum, tiny electronic flourishes that carry its brightest frequencies, and classical house chords that woven from layers and layers of moving parts.

Having sourced his remix talent with equally precise attention, NIBC has found his most complementary cast on Love Lesson. The legendary Ian Pooley turns out his deep mastery, stretching the track's melodically suspenseful build with swirling spirals of melodic colour. Heavyweight duo Tuff City Kids - aka Gerd Janson and Lauer - ramp up the tuffness as is to be expected, closing the gap between harder-edged house and deep techno swing, bristling with kinetic energy and hands-in-the-air peaks. Trunkfunk favourite Hans Berg returns to the label fold again with a full throttle retake that bustles with saturated mids, layers of hand claps and buzzing, wobbling bass tones.

It's about time that Dresden based Steve Kasper comes around with his first solo EP on Uncanny Valley. After ''Unvexed Dub'' on UV010 and ''Puli Kali (Rooted Dub)'' together with Goetterkreis on UV020 EP he provides four original cuts that extend the label's sound with some UK flavour. ''Helms Klamm'' isn't quite the battlefield you expect from the title but a fine UKish House affair with warm synths and a distinctive bass line that will cause a stir on the dance floor. Then there is ''Slo'fool (Ydee Dirtsocks Reset)'' which starts mysteriously tempered and develops into a hell of a tune with its drone-like synths. ''Good Old'' showcases Steve's knack for combining ingredients of the UK Hardcore Continuum. Good old it is. Finally, the dubby track that has to be on a coherent Steve Kasper-EP is ''Rooted (TRVE Dub)''. No doubt: Steve knows his masters. The wonderful artwork was created by Thomas Neugebauer.

Deep'a & Biri's Black Crow Records further expands its horizons with its seventh release, welcoming another new artist to the family following appearances by 2030, Aril Brihka, Hakimonu, Luke Hess, ROD, Inland and Markus Suckut. The Analog Roland Orchestra's label debut follows the widely acclaimed 2030 EP and shares with it a widening of the label's sonic scope to once again showcase Deep'a & Biri's desire to reach beyond techno and explore ambient and cinematic musical textures. Michal Matlak's Analog Roland Orchestra finds the Poland born & Berlin based producer in the conductor role among an array of classic electronic hardware, taking on the role of shaping & directing a free flowing sound that moves across genres, whether in a studio or live setting. 'Aftermath II' is no different, moving from the classic roots techno sounds of 'Plant' and 'Father Detroit', through the dub excursion of 'Urei Dub', to the cinematic, Boards of Canada & Tangerine Dream-recalling pair 'Her' and 'Aftermath. 'Marc Poppcke' is a name synonymous with melodic, uplifting productions, a true DJ's DJ with a deep love of four-to-the-floor electronic music, charming dance floors with his well-versed and impeccable track selections.

2015 marks not one, but several milestones for the Berlin resident, celebrating a solid 15 years behind the decks, 10 years since making the move to the clubbing capital of the world to pursue his passion, and turning the bright, young age of 35. With these in mind, Marc reflects on what has been an incredible career with the release of his first artist album, simply titled

Synkro delivered his superb debut album 'Changes' last year and has now hand picked four of his favourite producers to remix tracks and they have all seriously delivered the goods.
Sven Weiseman provides a 13 minute remix of 'Your Heart' that starts as an ambient track and mutates into a gentle deep house groove. Legowelt does what he does best and reimagines 'Changes' as an analogue Detroit house jam - check those strings!
Synkro has released on DBridge's Exit label and he's remixed him before so he was another natural choice. His remix of the vocal tune 'Body Close' featuring Lyves is classic Dbridge.
Helios (aka Keith Kenniff) is a huge inspiration to Synkro and he's taken one of the album favourites 'Midnight Sun' and blissed it out even more which we didn't think was possible

Julio Bashmore today premieres brand new track "Rhythm of Auld". Like recent single "Simple Love", it's set to feature on Bashmore's forthcoming debut album which is due for release in February on his own Broadwalk label. "Rhythm of Auld" is another brilliant collaboration with vocalist J'Danna (who also featured on "Simple Love") and is the second 12' in a series of vinyl releases Bashmore will put out in the run up to the album.

Released on Damian Lazarus highly acclaimed Crosstown Rebels imprint 'Valor' tells a deeply personal narrative for Chilean born and Berlin based producer / DJ Dinky, her sixth album acts as a pinnacle to her steadfast and illustrious career and brought on a momentous change to her personal journey.
Esteemed for her work on labels such as Cocoon, Ostgut Ton ,Traum, Wagon Repair, Horizontal and Visionquest, and DJ residency at Berlin's infamous Panorama Bar for over a decade, Dinky AKA Alejandra Iglesias is a trained classical guitarist, singer and keyboard player. Her voice is an anchor to 'Valor', it's crisp definition loaded with intensity.
Tracks such as the driving single 'Casa' called out by US giants NPR for its 'gorgeously layered vocals' and the fragile layers of guitar and synths on cuts like 'Milk' make bold unions between sublime house and techno electronics and Dinky's live instrumentation.

Everyone knows of course that the main driving force behind the label PRAXXIZ is one of Germanys earliest Techno supporters, innovators and ultimately icons Dr. Motte. Maybe fewer are aware of his love of and involvement with the various genres of Electronic Listening Music/Ambient Electronica. Dr. Motte was after all one of the founders of the Interference Festival, arguably one of the greatest gatherings of Electronic Musicians & DJ's to have occurred back then (mid 90's), and to be honest since then.

So it will come as no surprise that the newest release on Dr. Motte's PRAXXIZ, a collaboration between himself and Electronica guru Gabriel Le Mar expertly brings together elements of both ends of the Techno/Electronica spectrum, lovingly creating a fusion that may well be the strongest release yet on PRAXXIZ.

Fever sets the pole high, with a combination of sounds and programmed patterns that display both a sensitivity and an awareness of musical structure that enable clear crisp sparse rhythms to carry a sense of purpose & direction without meandering or resorting to less refined strategies. There is even a very tasty and beautifully placed break beat in there which captures exactly the vibe of that big sound of yesteryear, whilst achieving a here and now vibe from the track overall.

Tresor92 grooves along in an insistent Techno way, but again does not fall into the 'old fashioned' or 'heard that already' pitfalls so many of the thousands of new releases each month seem to willingly dive head first into, for all they are worth. The track builds from its initial strange opening melody that could be some kind of mutated grandfather clock. Slowly and surely, it sneaks up on the listener, evolving as it does into a hard and driving enough piano type chord driven groove. Again as in 'Fever', what makes the track so much more than just another well programmed Techno tune that if we are honest we heard already 1000 times, are the subtle polyrhythms, flourishes and various shades of musical awareness that create a constant feeling of change in the track.

Acidspray again scores top marks as it chugs out a heavy slow burner funked up rhythm, topped with subtle and always engaging Electronica style melodies and nuances. Add to that a refrain that sounds almost like a rave signal, but retains enough originality not to be pigeon holed, and a deep down in the mix twisting turning voice of sorts that further adds to the overall feeling of a funk groove that's friendly, but mildly menacing, and you have three out of three top tunes so far on this latest release from PRAXXIZ.

Zikade could have been a throwaway given the quality so far on this release, but instead it chooses to strive for the gold position. A very fine bringing together of dub, after hours groove, strings and funky house style bass lines. it builds from the first to the last note in a way that is neither overbearing nor ineffective or boring. Motte and Gabriel get it spot on. All the right bits in exactly the right places, perfectly timed for maximum effect. And a perfect way to bring this outstanding EP to a close. A very very fine release in deed, maybe their best yet, if the 'Fever EP' gives a hint of where the artists are heading, bring it on!

The eleven tracks which are getting a lot of spotlight at the European underground scene since they got released as individual 12inch vinyls are finally out on CD/Digital Bundle on May 30th 2014. The selected crew of remixers is staffed by longtime personal friends and other related artists out of Paul Kalkbrenner's world of music. To keep it in the Kalkbrenner family his brother Fritz Kalkbrenner delivers excellent new vocals for - Kruppzeug's' transformation into a classic House track while Paul's wife Simina Grigoriu refines the Techno track - Kleines Bubu'. The Berlin school of Techno & House gets represented by Format:B, Housemeister from the Boys Noize camp and the legendary Maertini Broes consisting of Mike Vamp and the E-Werk veteran DJ Clé. Also hailing from Berlin are Pan-Pot who have been 2013 world tour buddies with Paul Kalkbrenner. They deliver a well produced big room version of the 2011 hit single - Das Gezabel'. Impressive in a similar way is the Cab Driver's remix of - Globale Gehung' from the - Guten Tag' album. Another musical highlight is the Robag Wruhme remix for the massive tune - Sky & Sand' which is a complete new and unique approach to the - Berlin Calling' classic. The Mallorca based duo Pig & Dan rounds up this great Paul Kalkbrenner remix package with their tech-house production of the - Icke wieder' opening track - Böxig Leise'.
