Omena launches the X series.

As the name suggests, this is the first of ten limited releases planned. First out is Swedish producer Anders Hellberg with 'Fiction'.This is the sound of having a party inside a whale with a broken rainbow and three pyramids as bass bins.

Not too harsh or in-your-face, rather clean, crisp, and audible.

Daniel Stefanik generated some buzz this year with his latest album release on Cocoon Recordings. And he prooved with a number of outstanding DJ-sets over the last weeks that he progressed to a well respected and some of the 'most wanted' artists around. We are happy to have the Leipzig house hero aboard and we are proud to announce the long awaited remix-12 featuring remixes by Adam Port, Mr. G, Mathias Kaden and Legowelt. All four delivered outstanding mixes and we are not only saying this because we have to. Let's begin with Adam Port's remix for 'Confidence' in which he delivers a real deep and housey gem with cool Moodyman-like elements. The dark bassline could also be found in a Carl-Craig-Mix and creates a deep arrangement with lots of space and room. However don't sit back and relax as Adam Ports manages it to conjure a hedonistic and energetic tune that will for sure set floors on fire this summer! Although this Adam Port remix seems to be different to the ones we know at first glance it turns out to be one of his best works ever so far! Another 'Adam Port sure shot!' >>> Mathias Kaden, Stefanik's dj-partner-in-crime, builds his remix for 'Brothers in Crime' on a very solid and pumping NY-housebeat that creates a decent amount of power and energy. The synths and the dub chords on top make this arrangement complete and close to perfection when it comes to merge house and techno. This one will be heard in many DJ-sets this summer for sure! >>> Mr. G is following the house route here, too however he creates an atmosphere closer to the one on Stefanik's album. He incorporates more oldskool elements such as straight forward 909-hihats and cymbals which results in a driving piece of housemusic. The filtered strings on top create a dark and fogg

After more than 10 years in the game and a string of successful
EPs to his name, Idriss D releases his first proper album on his
own Memento Records. At first conceived as a succession of
singles for his Dib 00' series (the first two being Constantine
and Alger), the project then became more of a collection of
dance floor tracks influenced by what he likes to play in his DJ
sets. The title Amalgamation' comes from the desire of
bringing together his life experiences over the last few years,
both music-wise and from a marketing and management angle,
this time exclusively focusing on himself and gathering all the
inputs in one single piece of work. Transition''s atmospheric
vibe and ethereal sounds open the LP with a blast of hazy
vocals and noises, followed by the percussive and trippy Casa
Baratas', a nod to the early 90s Acid House movement.
Karma''s pounding kick drum and stripped down arrangement
are a true example of Minimalistic Techno at its wildest. The
more personal RIP Ouarda' was composed in memory of his
grandmother who passed away: dark and hypnotic, it stands
out as one of the most experimental on the album. Title track
Amalgamation''s landscape of lush eerie synths makes it a
blissful comedown number, while Parall-el''s bouncing rhythm
speeds up the pace to high effect. Strong Hayet' is dedicated
to his mum, a source of continuos strength in Idriss' life,
both in good and difficult times: the heavy bass line and almost
obsessive looping vocals and hi-hats are icy and dramatic.
Barn''s pitch shifts and manic vocal samples swing through a
maze of rim shots and toms, its stomping groove and pulsing
beats closing off the album with a bang.

The 17th installment from Aesthetic Audio brings together Italian bred producer Joe Drive and Detroit's own Keith Worthy for a two-man journey to fathom the depths of The Sound Oasis. On this journey, the soundtrack articulates Joe Drive's lush and extremely deep textures, and Worthy compliments the project by paying tribute Joe Drive's original with a stripped down, raw and bumpy remix of Amnios.

Mirko Loko's recent Comet Plan LP on Cadenza was another cornerstone release for the former Lazy Fat People Swiss maestro: a collection of eclectic tunes and collaborations with piano virtuoso Francesco Tristano and dOP's vocalist JAW, the album established him once again as a true experimental studio wizard, going against current trends and doing his thing.
Techno legend Carl Craig also remixed the leading single Kolor taken from the record, breaking into Beatport's Top 10.
After spending the summer as one of the main players on the Vagabundos' Ibiza circus, on this release for Memento, Mirko takes his vision to the next level, producing two tracks that defy any convention in today's often monotonous and stagnating music market: Undo''s minimalistic intro leads on to a bunch of spooky vocals looped throughout the whole piece, squelchy synth melodies and percussive stabs all around, while Solaris'' atmospheric, bright and ethereal pads make for a more than 12 minutes long trip of blissed out magic.

Second output from the Needlight Records imprint. This brand nu label has been settled up by Cisco and Miss Chrysalide, 2 well established artists out of the Parisian electronic scene.

Welcome back, Okain! After his digital label debut 'Some Of My Tools' and his praised collaboration with ONNO resulting in their conjunctional 'Triple O' EP Samuel Thalmann a.k.a. Okain is about to unleash four brand new tunes on his forthcoming Upon.You-single 'Coma". With the title track 'Coma' our French friend masterly crafts an enthrallingly bouncy mother of a tune walking the fine line between House and TechHouse, serving swirling Hi-NRG synth modulations and super ecstatic vocal bits for those who like to get into the groove. This track is prime time heaven for all clubbers out there. Following up is 'Karma", a tune again well-balanced between the House and TechHouse side of things but clearly focusing on the deeper end of the spectrum. Spatial effects and mellow, slightly dubbed out chords meet muscular drums, dreamy, balearic sample work as well as scenic string arrangements all serving perfectly for latenight sets and epic transitions between night and dawn. Opening the 'Silver Door' Okain's sonic journey leads him straight into the jackin' zone. A Chitown-reminiscing phonk, stripped down production and an almighty Acid-line are the weapons of choice to hype the crowd right before floating synths really mark the point when things are about to get intense. Timeless as timeless can get and a future classic for sure. Finally with 'Untitled Three' things are getting a little techy for a reason. Banging drums, razorblade hi-hats and woodwork percussions are setting the pace for the ultimate seduction brought to you by Yello'esque male vocal bits, more Chicago referring basslines and on point chords reverberating and bouncing off each other into spiralling eternity.

For those who caught Furness' Four 4 The Floor EP, and are familiar with his work, this release is further evidence of how much of a fledgling purveyor of deep grooves and heavy-hitting rhythms Furness is. Title track Gone Fishing utilises string keys as the foundation of the track and marries the emotive, elongated synths with a dubby bassline and quick hitting snares. Acropolis is tougher, centering distorted pads against intermittent piano chords, muffled vocal grabs and a deep, cosmic bassline. Red808 is a no-nonsense roller, with its slick snare and hi-hat/hand-clap tandem working superbly against the climbing synths. Blackstar adopts a similar framework to Acropolis, wrapping up the EP in style with its similarly lo-fi, distorted percussion charged against rapturous chords taking the track into further sonic terrain.

Final Chapter was started in 2013 by Stockholm's Sean Dixon, along with support from Perseus Traxx. A label which is happy to let the music do the talking, Final Chapter is now on it's fifth release, and shows no sign of being prepared to letting the book close. The journey of Detroit and Chicago influenced house and techno continues on this release as label head Sean Dixon presents an EP split between himself and Boston's John Barera, who's previous releases outside of his own label, Supply Records, have issues fourth on Soul Clap and Dolly, as well as Steffi's Panorama Bar Mix CD on Ostgut Ton. Remix duties come courtesy of Berlin based producer, Palms Trax, who's first outing was in 2013 on Lobster Theramin.

TOTAL compilation series hardly needs an introduction: we rummage through the Kompakt releases to select our favorites from the past year that reflect our best and unsaid tracks, compiled and packaged as a cohesive whole.

For TOTAL 16, the 2xCD and digital track listing features 25 prominent cuts from artists such as THE FIELD, WEVAL, REX THE DOG, TERRANOVA, HUNTER/GAME, FRANKEY & SANDRINO, JOHN TEJADA, BLOND:ISH or PATRICE BÄUMEL.

On top, TOTAL 16 includes eight exclusive tracks which happen to make up the 2xLP vinyl track listing. What you have is a dynamic assortment and comprehensive profile of Kompakt's current label portfolio, including both newcomers and veteran producers in peak form.

Keeping up a good old TOTAL tradition, we also planted brandnew material from core artists and friends - check out exclusive tracks such as MICHAEL MAYER's aptly named ACTION, an absolutely rinsing acid cracker, or MATIAS AGUAYO's stellar KOMM, sitting comfortably among his best and most stirring work to date. Meanwhile, JÜRGEN PAAPE drops silky, atmospheric synth pads on EDEN and THE MODERNIST teams up with Hot Chip's JOE GODDARD for the pop-infused THE PRICE OF LOVE. Another highlight is the debut release from exciting newcomer LAKE TURNER: BEACON FIELDS is a misty- eyed, melancholic piece focussing on exquisite electronic textures and sweeping melodies.

As with previous TOTAL installments, we collect these exclusives on a separate 2xLP edition, but like to add a handful of cuts that can only be found on the vinyl version - for TOTAL 16, these include ALEX UNDER's LLAMAN A LA PUERTA, a densely layered, slow-paced synth jam that makes for a inspired detour from the propulsive, lean beats the Spanish producer has become known for. SWEET 100 present a masterfully crafted study in hypnotic minimalism on SIX, while VOIGT & VOIGT hark back to the pounding, sensual abrasiveness of early Auftrieb releases on DENKEN SIE LAUT, crossbred with the tongue-in-cheek gloom of the brothers' later, more psychedelic offerings.

The Kompakt favorites from the past year, compiled and packaged as a cohesive whole, with cuts from THE FIELD, THE ORB, COMA, BLOND:ISH, HUNTER/GAME, JOHN TEJADA, REX THE DOG, TERRANOVA and many more..

Features exclusive new tracks from MICHAEL MAYER, MATIAS AGUAYO, JÜRGEN PAAPE, THE MODERNIST, ALEX UNDER, SWEET 100, VOIGT & VOIGT and LAKE TURNER

Tribe Records founder Zepherin Saint makes his debut on its sub-label TRIBE Traks with a pair of hedonistic house numbers.
Saint has been active in the electronic music since the 80s where he would heat up crowds for the likes of Michael Jackson when
not spinning in London's warehouse scene. His renowned imprint Tribe Records was launched in 2009 and surpassed 100 releases
late last year, around the same time TRIBE Traks was launched. The young label has so far hosted the likes of Manoo, Dazzle Drums,Victor Stancov and DJ Angelo, a solid early roster making the label's 2016 plans even more exciting. 'Tradition' is a rhythmic number boasting numerous percussive elements and a sultry low-end for an outright party anthem. On the other hand, 'Canima' gradually incorporates a medley of synths and atmospherics to form a heightening suspense before introducing an impassioned vocal to the mix.

Following EPs for Creme Organization and W.T. Records, Art Crime delivers a four tracker of meltingly good music on Pinkman Records. Chords cascade, blending and reforming, in the warming wonder of 'Still Life', 'Dead Carnation' is from a similar place. Keys skipping down scales, dancing down them as percussion lends a touch of weight.'Distant' is the mood changer. Rain falls, smoke whirls and the night descends in this dark and intoxicating encounter. But those clouds part for the close. Lush pads and soaring notes break through for calming currents of the less than aptly titled 'Hectic'. An artist rewriting stereotypes, an EP of true quality

Collecing orders for a repress!
The fifth release on Concealed Sounds is delivered by a very talented artist known as, Lowris. He is a resident DJ at the leading and much respected French underground party called Concrete in Paris as well as releasing critically acclaimed released on his Aeternum label. For Concealed he offers two original tracks, starting off with 'AAA' which is a long stripped down hyptonic journey thru sound and rhythm. The second track being, 'Btass', which is a more minimalistic house groover. As a treat we invited no other then our favourite Danish producer S.A.M. to rework the title track. S.A.M. goes very deep on this one and transforms 'AAA' into a moody house affair that will suit the after hour very well.

Early support from: Martinez, Michael Melchner, Ricardo Villalobos, S.A.M. , Sylphe

Night Visitor turns an anime classic into a cavernous techno grinder. Screendoor drops an off kilter house workout that evolves into an acid freakout. Kink Labs closes the set with some bass heavy, dense melancholy vibes. 150 full color jacket.

Seven Davis Jr, D Bridge & Animal Collective drop wide remixes for London's Steve Spacek ... strong 12". TIP! *Street Date 11th December - Not To Be Sold Before*
Back in January 2015, Steve Spacek (Spacek, Africa HiTech, Black Pocket, Space Invadas) - a British vocalist and producer whose fearless approach to creation has always been progressive and highly original - dropped his debut album Modern Streets under the moniker Beat Spacek. Created entirely on iOS apps for iPhone and iPad, it was a highly original and utterly essential anthology of his progressive and deeply soulful electronic excursions.

Three like-minded souls step up on remix duties: Seven Davis Jr, dBridge and Animal Collective. SDJR transposes Spacek's digi-funk onto a jaunty 4x4 groove with typical panache, finding favour with Four Tet, Daphni and Floating Points (amongst others) who hammered it through the summer. On
the flip, dBridge (Steve's brother) and Deakin from Animal Collective showcase their own machine funk interpretations - the former sleek and weighty as you would expect from the Exit Records boss and the latter gloriously scattershot in its form and function.

This is the long-awaited first release by Ostfunk Newcomer Ben Böhmer that features minimal, looping and driving tracks fitting every mood on the floor and showing Ben's great grasp of electronic music. Including fresh Remixes by Lützenkirchen, Eric Kanzler and Bongbeck that brings you a superb produced vinyl.

Talul, known as one of the best in his profession, delivers this incredible production with oriental Vocal. To complete this outstanding release, Wolfgang Lohr and Dominik Daks showed off their skills. With absolute dedication Wolfgang Lohr conjured one of the grooviest beats this summer, while Dominik Daks' version let's women's hearts beat faster.

This is the first release for Brooklyn NY based 369 Records. For the first time also the music of BNE and Diet RX is being shared with the world. BNE is a two man group also based out of Brooklyn, their deep house vibes are an easy pleaser. Diet RX is as you guessed a NYC resident, and supplies the B-side with a funky gear heavy throwback to a ravey, trancey, crunchy time where image was not as important as the experience.

Ipanema, the neighborhood where Bossa Nova was born, is known as one of the most famous beaches in Rio de Janeiro, the host city of the 2016 Olympic Games. It's streets are aligned as a grid, the same way we do in electronic music. On Sundays, the roadway closest to the beach is closed to the motor vehicles, allowing the tanned bodies ridin through it and inspiring this track. Additional remix from german duo Piemont completes the release.

Deniz's second full-length album is a true reflection of the complexity and simplicity that have come to
represent the artist. Effortlessly weaving entirely new sub-genres, while daring to convey its fragility
she assembles the Marcy All-Stars, a loose collective term that encompasses her longtime muses,
friends, and co-conspirers. The term comes from the Marcy hotel in Williamsburg, New York ñ an
underground nightclub-come-creative-space and Wolf + Lamb label studios that gave Nicolas Jaar his
first gig, inspired a multitude of collaborations and reshaped the sound of house music as we know it.
Available on CD, LP with a special limited edition lenticular cover of the accompanying LED sculpture
designed by Deniz Kurtel and brought on The Way We Live U.S. Tour.

for keeping their tracks to SASCHA SONIDO´s label Straight AHEAD MUSIC.

From old to new! 'Cumpa What' with its famous vocals was a great success many years ago. Eric Kanzler and Oliver Tatsch decided to do a remix with their own interpretation of this South American classic. Another title of this summer vinyl comes from Eric Kanzler and Alex Sauer aka Mehrklang that convinces with its grandiose vocals. Overall, a great open-air and club-suitable vinyl.
