Toronto native and production chameleon Sean Miller joins the ranks of Josh Wink's Ovum Recordings. After recent releases from the likes of Wink himself and Vince Watson (who released the label's 250th release at the end of 2014), Miller takes the helm for this bumping, grooving slice of tech house mastery with a latin twist. His production skills and deep knowledge of the dance floor have been proven time and again; with a catalogue that includes releases for Mobilee, Supernature, VIVa Music and Saved, his new 4-track EP is a welcome addition to his long list of musical accolades and allies. Sean's open-minded approach to dance music fits perfectly with Ovum's all encompassing, eclectic output and reach. On Matter of Time, Miller takes a departure from his trademark tech house romps on opener Vida. Already road tested at BPM to a rapturous reception, the track exudes a percussive, instrumental flair with sounds of afrobeat and latin-house squeezed between its rhythmic beats, flanked by wailing vocal chants. Sean also drops a Percapella version, heavy on the cowbell, drum flares and vocal chops, it strips back the beats completely for a sturdy tool for the DJ's. On the flip 'Come June' brings the carnival sound. Doused in uplifting, poly-rhythmic percussions and deep slabs of sub-weighted bass its a hip shaking sun dance for summer sun. Matter of Time is a divine triple header from Philadelphia's Ovum imprint and an excellent chapter in the evolving music history of Mr. Miller.

After an incredible summer that saw the Diynamic label release more big hits from boss Solomun and hot talents Adriatique, as well as hold down their fantastic outdoor parties in Ibiza, the Hamburg house stable is unleashing a brand new series of four Various Artists Eps called 'Four To The Floor' - Four EPs with four tracks each, focussing on the dancefloor. The names included along the way are largely exciting new producers who are being welcomed into the label fold for the first time and each of the four new EPs will be released roughly two weeks apart, starting November 10th. The producers hail from all over the world including France, India, Switzerland, Israel and many more places besides. This, then, is something of the start of a new era for the ever-evolving Diynamic label and showcases their skills at unearthing the next big things. After a fine run of EPs, this new series of VA releases from Diynamic comes to a close with the fourth and final edition. First to go is Malandra Jr., an Italian who has popped up on Cocoon and Entail before now. His lush track 'Infinity' journeys to the end of the universe with lots of moody melodies and haunting chords that will do wonders to your mind on the dancefloor. Handshake is next and his excellent 'Gravity' track is a slow pomp through big expansive bass notes, radiant chords and glassy melodies and ghoulish voices that are dark in a most beautiful way. On to the second half Zaki then offers 'Heart Never Lies', a crisp and twitchy bit of house with very studiously crafted bass notes that are rich and musical. The track sort of suspends you in-between galaxies as stars and spaceships shoot past you.

It's only been a few months since Earth Boys touched down with their debut EP on 1080p, Welcome 2 Earth. Their second release via 2MR, Feel The Rhythm, showcases their production skills, and features a deeper, all-encompassing groove that fills yours brain and moves your body. More than anything, Earth Boys' music is about having a good time. The duo is Julian from the Sisterjam collective in Brooklyn, and Michael Sherburn from ground-breaking New York techno live act DUST. Each track is constructed in a deep haze - vintage house, smooth jazz and breakbeats - and compiles moody vocals and analog gear to create their signature, tongue-in-cheek sound. While the first EP on 1080p delivered a range of upbeat melodies and catchy hooks, Feel The Rhythm explores a low-end, hypnotic vibe throughout all five tracks. The title track gets an internal re- work at the end, with Feel The Rhythm (Dark Room Mix)' evoking chill-inducing bass beats that nod back to some of Detroit's most influential underground moments. On the lighter side is You Were Mine,' with uplifting syncopation, but still as thick and engaging as the heavier tunes on this EP.

After rearranging our brains, and dance floors, with his Displacement LP on Rush Hour back in 2011, no stone went unturned in our efforts to find out just who was behind the Nebraska project. That search culminated last year with us pressing up his Stand Your Ground 12", and now, the London-based producer is back on Mister Saturday Night Records with the new three-track, sample-heavy EP, Look What You've Done To Me. The title track is a lush, deep house roller based around some balmy Rhodes chords and an infectiously bumping baseline, while the tunes on either side of that borrow as much from the skippy, spirited disco of last year's "Emotional Rescue" as they do from the more graceful end of the dub techno spectrum. There's something for pretty much every hour of the party here.

The newest installment of Haunt Music comes from the hands of label
ounder himself Mike Shannon, by way of collaboration with DeWalta
and featuring certain ivory-tickler extraordinaire, Mister Danuel Tate.
Cruise Ship is a smooth, jazzy number with an impossibly catchy hook
hat serves as the foreground to an über cool sax -played by DeWalta
himself-. Enter stage right a very serious piano that slowly begins to
bubble alongside the mythical Serge modular, taking the track into
unkier, more conceptual terrain. In short, this is one ship that could as
easily disembark on the beach or at a sweaty basement full of cool kids
wearing Clubmasters.
On the flipside, Double Booked starts with a cartoon-reminiscent burst
before a chubby kick leads it down another path of chill bass lines and
azzy drums. The Serge modular comes back to smooth the whole thing
over with a layer of funky.

The MNS X series returns for its 4th issue after a blistering John Heckle EP with one from the Spainard mystic: Eduardo De La Calle. Featuring full EPs from the label artists, the MNS X series plays in the field of the analog, acid and techno. For this, Eduardo De La Calle has put forward a tougher stance from his other silky productions, heading into the rough, analogue and raw terrain for Midnight Shift. The result packs a punch, rounded up with a remix by Hodge. Getting straight into business out of his Ashram studio is 'Roswell Case' on A1. A relentless pulsating and slithering acid bassline anchors the raw and percussive track, making it a peak-time earworm roller that will resonate across dancefloors. 'Synthesized Priorities' takes the respectable second position and is another builder where the soul of the machine makes itself heard amidst a temple of ethic drumming. What is it spelling out to you Don't get hypnotised! On the flip, the title track 'Mexican Madness' gets the Hodge aka Jacob Martin remix treatment, turning the opening synth groove into an all-out rugged union jack. Fire and another winning move from the Bristolian producer. B2 goes to the original 'Mexican Madness', a twisted journey into the chaotic mind, led by an analogue synth and its friends. Get dizzy standing in the Mexican heat, as the crowd noise builds and claps around you. Too much tequila can just about begin to describe this peculiar product, waiting to wreck insane havoc on the floor.

Luca Lozano presents this majestic 4-track EP. Inspired by the past but sounding the antithesis of retro.
Optimo Trax is an offshoot label of Optimo Music for tracks aimed at DJs/dancefloors. Yes, we know there are too many record labels already, but we felt an overriding desire to start another one as so much music that didn't seem quite right for Optimo Music (i.e. music that was specifically designed for dancing) kept coming our way. Like the parent label, Optimo Trax will release music by new artists and excavate forgotten classics.
Luca Lozano, owner of Klasse Recordings presents this majestic 4-track EP on Optimo Trax. Inspired by the past but sounding the antithesis of retro. In his own words....
"The Optimo Trax EP was born out of a time when I was listening to a lot of old Bleep House and Rave, early 90s UK stuff. Growing up in Sheffield I was lucky enough to spend some time in Warp Records when it was still a record store and being around this music and the people that made it must have somehow embedded itself into my psyche. Listening to pirate radio stations like Fantasy FM as a teenager helped shape my musical interests as they are today and I guess this EP is somehow a reflection of that education, I wanted to make a collection of music that sounded like it was related to a certain place and time and in effect confirm my own identity within its context."

This vinyl EP is a collaboration between Paris label CORRESPONDANT and Germany's GOMMA records. Remixes by Los Angeles' finest psychedelic electronic producer SECRET CIRCUIT (Beats in Space records) and German shooting star LAUER (partner of Gerd Janson at Tuff City Kids). Why this EP Gomma has a long history with the Paris scene. Mathias 'Munk' Modica who runs Gomma (and sublabel Toy Tonics) has been living in France for many years. He worked with many Parisian artists from DJ Chloe (on Munk's first album Aperitivo 2004) to the Ed Banger Crew or Black Strobe. Probably apart of Berlin there is no city in the world that saw more Gomma events than Paris. Seems only a project with Jennifer Cardini missed. So Jennifer invited Mathias last year to send over tracks. Decision was made fast. And so Wurlitzer Wank and The Bösus Bounce have come up on Correspondant.

nonkeen (a trio that includes Nils Frahm, Frederic Gmeiner and Sebastian Singwald) return to R&S Records with the swift follow up to their debut album 'The Gamble'.
'Oddments of the Gamble' is a continuation of the unique, analogue concoctions that formed the first album - very much like a 'part two' in many ways. Although it inevitably draws on a similar formula to the previous LP - pensive loops and melodies, sweeping arpeggios, post-rock jams, and rolling jazz breaks - Oddments of the Gamble still stands alone as another statement from the trio despite originating from the same recording sessions.

'Our mission is to move people and our satisfaction comes from enjoying ourselves through music. Without music we would not be here' is the mission statement of brand new Barcelona-based record label Yakazi Records. Through the label, they intend to 'draw from the expressive universe that flows through various melodic and rhythmic scenarios, in which good taste prevails over fads and trends.' With a solid vision for the direction of the label's sound in place, the inaugural release pairs together two veteran producers, Phillippe Quenum (founder of Cadenza with Luciano) and Cesare vs Disorder . The brand new EP titled 'Different Samba' features two originals backed up by superlative-defying remixes from upcoming young French producer Loquace and old-hand and Alphahouse/ Little Helpers boss, Butane. The genesis for the collaboration came into being during the jamming and production period which ultimately led to Quenum´s first solo album, released on Cesare's label Serialism. Both producers come highly qualified in the electronic music game with Quenum being behind one of Resident Advisor's top voted, essential tracks of the last decade, 'Orange Mistake' - the first ever release on Cadenza. The EP itself is a perfect combination of the deep, down, dubby and percussive sound unique to both producers. Tracks which are skilfully crafted, perfectly arranged and superbly executed come naturally to the pair when not working in combination, but together they show that they're even more of potent force.

Please welcome SIS on Extravaganza with 3 pieces of music that you will love at the first listen!
He already released music on Cocoon, Crosstown Rebels, Get Physical and Cecille...and this is the time for his Extravaganza solo release.
Syberian is a new pattern by Sergey Yakovlev. As his first project called Gedevaan this another also focused and keep on the fine tune electronic music entering deeper to techno, house and experimental constructions among them. Syberian is pitched hypnotic, cosmogonic shade of melancholy which sincerely looks on the world background. It has an authentic perception imprint and a set of sedate witness. The first release by Syberian 'An Object by a Human Being' contains four basic tracks.
Opening with 'God Race Female' which gloomy drifts you with a distant fibrous structures. Industrial howl and clave push stream over dope endless barrel strokes. That is sound what reach out to a child inside a female womb.
Next one is 'Male of Human Race' with a resilient stained beat that works with onground greasy texture. Ambient flutter set you a synthetic tranquil mood.
On a flip side 'Secret Alien Video Tape' is a kind of hypnotic and scholastic spacewrap abyss. Drag inland thru distortions and imaginary vortexes your mind still contemplates.
Conclusive back to the home track 'Harmonic 343' is game way to keep junctions with a physical world. Body is only part of a human. Understanding the principles supply the workflow.
STRINGS 001 comes to us from Oporto boys Fauvrelle & Serginho. The duo have really been making a name for themselves lately when they play b2b, so it was about time they have their ideas come together in the studio! Released on Defected, 'No Doubt' is exemplary of South Africa's Cuebur's ability to construct the organic and cheerful sounds prominent within the flourishing South African house scene. Throughout the track is a blend of raw sounding percussion that when combined with Marrisa Guzman's delicate yet captivating voice results in a warm and leisurely anthem. On remix duties is the prestigious Shlomi Aber whose rendition still utilises Guzman's mesmerising vocals whilst making use of his signature techno elements to create a more innovative twist.

Cornish acid dance pioneer, Luke Vibert, dusts off the old gladrags and revives his cherished Kerrier District moniker for a new album this year on Hypercolour.
Having already released an album last year (the audacious 303 tweakathon 'Ridmik', released under the Luke Vibert name), Vibert returns to the label with a 14 track album as Kerrier District. '4' will be the first Kerrier album since 2004's self titled long player for the legendary Rephlex label. Two singles also emerged from this project in 2006 and 2011, so it's a huge scoop for the British imprint and a welcome return for Vibert's disco and funk led project.
Digging into a huge pot of influence, and ably assisted with a trusty MPC, '4' is not surprisingly made up of a glorious collage of samples, old skool drum loops and large doses of acid funk and deep electronic disco, inspired in parts by the landmark 'Black Devil Disco Club' EP from 1978 that has since gone on to influence the music of many like minded producers (step forward Metro Area/Daniel Wang et al).
A scan through the track titles ('Treacle Tits' 'Discuntek') reveal an album filled with humour and mischievous intent, most definitely a trait of many of Vibert's past releases, but the music really is some serious business. From the album opener, 'Discogram', with its easy (listening) vibes and low slung groove, right the way through to the closing 'Come On Kerrier' with its frenzied synth work, deadly bass and incessant vocal stabs, the album is a Technicolor romp through feel good modern funk music as only Kerrier knows how. Drawing upon a wealth of incredible source material, playful beat programming and lush bass, '4' is an album that will quite possibly soundtrack the Summer of 2015 for many, many people.

Martin Buttrich - Two new projects born simultaneously.
His new label, Rhythm Assault, is intended to be an outlet for impulsive releases of his own music, free from the constraints of rigorously organised and planned imprints.
The label's first project gives birth to Collaborator - A two volume project seeing Martin release a continuous stream of brilliant collaborations with the likes of Carl Craig, Guti, DJ Tennis, Loco Dice, Timo Maas, The Martinez Brothers, Guy Gerber to name but a few. October 16th sees the first Collaboration titled Synchronicity, with Mathew Jonson.
There's a common misconception that Buttrich merely engineered the myriad tracks he's worked on over the last two decades. In reality, his long-running partnerships with the likes of Timo Maas and Loco Dice were fully collaborative. 'I was never someone who would get told what to do in the studio' he says. 'I like it more like a creative process. Really having hands on the song was most important. I haven't really ever just engineered other artists, apart from maybe here and there for one song. I would say it's co-writing, co-producing. I have requests where people would ask me, 'can you mix my album' and I'm absolutely not interested in that. Even for my own productions now, I'm thinking about getting a mixing engineer. For me, mixing is pretty much one of the worst jobs!'.
Buttrich began producing at the age of 18 after being bitten by the dance music bug in parties in his hometown of Hannover and Berlin. A wealth of output under many different aliases ensued, but it was teaming up with Maas - whom he met when they both worked at legendary house label Peppermint Jam - in the late '90s that saw his career gain global significance. Their groundbreaking remix of Azzido Da Bass' Dooms Night helped spawn entire genres, crashed into the UK Top 10, and led to remixes for everyone from Madonna to Muse, Kelis, Moby, Placebo, Jamiroquai and to a Grammy-nominated rework of Tori Amos. Former hip-hop DJ Loco Dice made for his second key partnership in the early 2000s, Buttrich helping him to become one of underground house and techno's biggest stars and forming the acclaimed Desolate imprint with him.
His incredibly slick, highly musical yet intensely technical productions under his own name have been released on the likes of Cocoon Recordings, M_nus, Supplement Facts and Planet E, with his acclaimed debut album Crash Test landing on Desolat in 2010. There is no now doubt that he is amongst the house and techno scene's finest artists in his own right - but rather than follow a path of self-aggrandisement, he's decided to focus his new album and tour around collaborations once again, yet this time Martin will step from the shadows and into the light.
His 20 Years Of Martin Buttrich Global Tour - dubbed #9414 - saw him take his live show to some of the world's finest clubs from September 2014 to December 2014. Martin teamed up with one of his favourite DJs for each date. 'I was looking through old stuff, and I just thought - 'wow, 20 years'. It's just chance to give a little bit back to all the people who have supported me over the years, and it was also an opportunity to get together with the people I always wanted to play with.' With the likes of The Martinez Brothers, Loco Dice, Carl Craig, Guti, tINI, Mathias Tanzmann and Mathew Jonson in tow, the tour reached from Berlin's Panoramabar to Chicago's Spy Bar and makes for a timely reminder of his enduring - and ongoing - contribution to the scene.

Limited Light Blue Vinyl Pressing!
We are so excited to present you 'The Infamous', the collaborative project between Bülent Gürler AKA Butch and C. Vogt ! Out in April on a limited promo coloured vinyl 10", the full release will follow later in the year.
When we have heard it for the first time at the Rebirth office we jumped on the table saying...wooow...this is an amazing piece of music !
An infectious tune, a combination between a subtle jazzy drum pattern, a driving bass line, strings and an irresistible rhodes theme, all played live. Something you would never stop to hear...generating tension and excitement at the same time !
The track shows the incredible ability of both producers...
With over 20 years consumed by a thirst for electronic music, Butch has released on leading imprints such as Desolat, Cocoon, Rekids, Sei Es Drum and beyond, while maintaining a solid DJ schedule that's seen him open the minds of crowds at Fabric, Time Warp and his residency at Berlin's Watergate.
He says 'I absorb influence and ideas from everywhere...so, as my music has many styles, I like to make different styles too'. It's true that with Butch, you never know what to expect, other than consistently sounding fresh and unique output.
'The Infamous' is the expression of Butch's attitude and the musical enthusiasm of C. Vogt, son of the violinist K.Vogt and a great musician, who started studying the piano and saxophone and rapidly entering walls of the world of electronic music !
On the B Side Robytek and Shield re-edit the Original version adding their distinctive groove for more dance floor action.
Hope you love it as much as we do !
