Fast forward to 2012 and it's hard to believe that KMS is still releasing records. With such a long history, what better way to celebrate than to release a special CD Boxset. The 'KMS 25th Anniversary Classics' will be released on CD, Digital (and for those vinyl collectors, there will be 6 x 12' Samplers). Each format includes a plethora of gems which have been released on KMS over the last 25 years.
KMS may be celebrating it's 25th Anniversary, but there's no slowing down for Kevin Saunderson. He's still producing, remixing and djing (all over the world). Here's to the next 25 years....

Saved Records present the fourth installment of their acclaimed collection sampler series, "Collection D". Featuring a diverse selection of artists; only two of which are close members of the Saved family, the ten-track collection welcomes a host of new friends with a heavy focus on new and emerging talent.
Perfectly summing up the ethos of the label, these fresh producers unleash a collection of uncompromising, underground club-leaning bombs.
Regular Saved cohort &ME gets the collection underway with label-mates Rampa and Re.You's fresh remix of 'Blitz',Rob Cockerton, a permanent fixture behind the decks at Saved parties over the years, puts his first record out here. Mulletover's Geddes makes his first appearance on Saved with the frenetic "Standup" just as rising Italian duo Macromism, New York's Vanjee, Lancaster and Denney & Guthrie all make their Saved debuts.
Collection D has a stripped back and heady aesthetic running throughout its entirety. Jacking beats, driving basslines and pumping 303 rhythms feature heavily, creating a spine of powerful bottom end sonics.
There is plenty of energy, old school vibes and a darker edge on display across the ten tacks too, making this the most underground collection of the series yet"

The third chapter of Bossa Nova's alt dance partnership with NYC 'creative support group',
Sisterjam, features brand new heat via Slava (Software, Future Times), Max Mcferren (1080p,
SciFi & Fantasy), Physical Therapy (Allergy Season), and M/M (1080p, Pacific Psychedelia
Tapes).

Slava's 'Shante' originally mesmerized the Viber community during a supernatural live set at
Aurora Halal's Mutual Dreaming series at 285 Kent in 2012 and has been sought out ever since.
After a year or so of friendly reminders, Slava submitted the track and reawakened the genesis
of the Kent Ave warehouse scene; a period when Brooklyn's art kids, discovered, amongst other
things, dance music. The track is foggy, bicurious and fun, all signatures of Slava's hyper produced house sound with an added Chicago style organ solo to boot.

Max McFerren's track 'Is Sinful' follows with deep driving bass and tight rolling hi hats; a
menacing dark number to keep locked in your 'heavy techno' rotation. For the past two years
McFerren has been burning up dance floors worldwide, from hosting Worldwave with Sisterjam
at Bossa Nova to rocking Seva Granik and Ladyfag's Club†Shade†series. Physical Therapy's throwback rave burner 'Love Schranz' borders on the realm of digital hardcore. Creeping in as chaos distorted, the track levels out just before all memory of control is relinquished with overheated drums crushing a sinister vocal.

Last but not least, M/M's therapeutic and somber, 'Sphere 3', is a droning, twisting, melody that
flaunts hazy synth chords and shakers programmed with care. His biweekly podcast/radio show, DEEP, on New Town Radio, has seen the likes of NYC's finest emerging producer and DJ talents along with M/M's own psychedelic mixes. 'Sphere 3' was part of a series of songs recorded inside of a suspended geodesic sphere in British Columbia in 2015. After discovering the track featured in a Boiler Room mix by 1080p's Richard McFarlane as unreleased, uncommitted material, it immediately filled the B2 slot of Volume 3, and thus concludes this chapter of the Bushwick is Melting series with a bang.

These days house music is often about a 4/4 beat and a catchy groove. The idea is to do something simple to which you can get your groove and, and not so much about listening. The borders of electronic dance music makes room for the hypnotic beats, the driving grooves, but not always the melodic universes. Leman & Dieckmann have been making music for several years, both together and apart, but almost all of their music was driven mainly by the beat. But both having an urge to discover the dynamics of melodic synths and melodic percussion they decided to make an album. They agreed that the album had to tell a story, and like so many times before in music the topic became love. The story they try to tell through the music on the album 'Takes Two' is the story of a breakup, the denial of the need of love, and the discover of the fact that often in life it takes two, to be happy. The album features the Swedish/Danish jazz singer TYRA on the groovy house track 'Movement' and the percussion based Balearic inspired track 'The Meeting'. Also the title track 'Takes Two' is featured by the Danish singer Ms. O, who, on top of beautiful Rhodes chords and minimal drums, manages to tell the story of sincerely need and unrequited love. 'The Stranger', a track about the autodidactic act of a one night stand as a part of moving on, is featured by the very talented Danish singer Julie Christiansen. The album, which consist of 10 original tracks, ranges from the deepest atmospheric Deep House to groovy Tech House to old-school trancy house. 'Takes Two' definitely differs from the masses, and bring a breath of fresh air to the circulating sound of 2014 .

Following his acclaimed North Bend album of 2015, Chris Roman, known as 214, is back on Shipwrec with the third in their series of single sided odysseys. A haze of bass descends for "I See What You Did There", a clipped drizzle of percussion falls before thick acid bars tremble into position. Echoes, reverb and decay merge, groan and bend as the preconceptions of ambient, electro and techno are pulled apart. In one breath dense and complex, the next grooving and future funk dipped. An epic example of 214's talent. Single sided 12" with a silkscreen printed B side. Limited to 250 copies on transparant vinyl.

It's been a while since we did something on our subdivision Petite. You know, this is where we like to re-release those forgotten pearls, with a new remix on the flip.
This time we chose for Kinda Kickin' by DJ Boom, which is in fact a collaboration between Matthew Herbert and Charles Webster. The original vinyl goes for over 110eur on Discogs and is a longtime favourite of ours. We heard Move D play it at a festival this summer, but strangely enough not too many other people seem to know about this house gem.
On remix duties this time someone very close to the label (and our hearts) since the first collaboration in 2007 for 'Acid Bells'. Efdemin recently delivered what is maybe his best album to date and also this remix for Kinda Kickin' is absolutely superb. Enjoy.

For the opening EP from Too Many Squares, Frank butters manages to gene-splice together the raw DNA from all of the ugly-beautiful sounds present in the birth of modern dance music.
"Conditioning for Solitude" is the hum of dark tubes, the slice and hiss of sharp synthesised percussion and the scream of blissful dementia. The mutant that existed for a brief and joyous frozen moment while disco was still birthing house."Body Burn' is the tropics with a black sun and Africanism with a stopwatch instead of a heart. Recalling experimentalist forays by the likes of Liaisons Dangereuses, Patrick Cowley and Karen Finley, the 2 originals on offer manage to recall the raw passion of an era without feeling contrived or derivative. The EP is rounded off by Sheila Fleurrater's remix of '3 Minute Warning' which continues the pioneer-ist motif, albeit allying itself with a much more early industrial aesthetic.

INSOMNIA is all bout the Rave! And so it begins with this magnificent release by Mihalis Safras & CJ Jeff...Volkoder on the remix duties for a massive strike! #weareinsomnia

Electro kicks, raw textures, ominous choirs: L' immaginario, Previsto's opening track, ties a bound between Martelli's two releases on Antinote, giving us one last glimpse at the uninhabited post-apocalyptic landscapes drawn in Menti Singole.
However, this time Leonardo Martelli explores a more urban universe, as the use of rap samples on Negli abissi and Lo Schema suggests. Martelli exploits their aggressiveness in a way that somehow reminds us of minimalist rap tapes from Memphis. The third track's title makes it even clearer: called Leggende Metropolitane, the song is
a trip into the darkest blind alleys of the city, an invitation to wander among human wastes, driven by its light kick.

La Luna, is the most contemplative moment of the album, offering us a meditative break before the nightmarish Il
registro, Martelli's brutal come-back to raw electro with a tune which depicts us a hellish engine room for expiating souls. Finally, the record concludes with Previsto, a haunted title track, filled with wailings that give us to contemplate a cruel vision of the urban misery we're stuck in.

The Russian artist Mobile Soul System brings his classy, elegant minimal deep house to Red Panda Music, one of the new labels from Barcelona, getting quite a lot of praise and attention. Pure underground sound supported by Laurent Garnier, Sidney Charles, PAWSA, Hermanez and many others. Four different cuts that can suit the mood of many different club situations along a sophisticated and cool house vibe.

Ideal Audio 019, again sees the coming together of two of modern Techno's super powers. Now a firm part of the modern Moon Harbour make up, frequent label artist Sven Tasnadi is back with a new EP that comes complete with a fantastic remix by Marco Faraone.

The German producer last offered up his essential wares back in late summer 2013 with his Stop Talking EP, and has also released on great stables like Smallville, Cocoon and Poker Flat.
His sound is deep and rhythmic and across three tracks here he lays down yet more infectious grooves that will whole floors under their spell.

'On Your Mind' opens things in fine style with loopy drums and dusty hi hats rolling over rich and paddy kick drums. A whole ambiance of voices swirls about, adding plenty of charming
atmosphere, and an indecipherable but party-starting male vocal coo shoots through the mix to bring a sense of energy and excitement to proceedings. The dub from Italian Marco Faraone -
who runs his own Etruria Beat label and releases on places like Desolat and Drumcode - is a much darker and tougher thing driven by firm drums. Subtle dub chords peel off the groove,
grainy texture fleshes it out and this one is a pure backroom bomb.

Sven Tasnadi then serves up the standout 'Feel Good', an introverted bit of shuffling and heads down deep house with spacey atmospheres and a clean spoken word monologue. The ripping bassline is a fine thing that supercharges the track as the shining, sharp edged hi hats cut through the humid air. Seriously deep, it makes way for last cut 'Miss Understood', a silky, liquid
and rolling bit of silvery tech house with curious synth lines, eerie, desolate soundscapes and yet another engaging baseline that really drives things on.

Each track on this EP manages to be seductively deep at the same time as being perfectly driven for the dancefloor, meaning that once again Sven Tasnadi and Moon Harbour have
struck gold.

After Carlos Nilmmns enthralled us with his expressive True Chemistry EP, Circus Company is delighted to welcome a new character into the fold in the form of fast-rising German artist Borrowed Identity. Based in the Southern town of Freiburg im Breisgau, in just a few years he has already released scores of singles for labels as respected as Quintessentials, Fina, Home Taping Is Killing Music and Mistress. The Borrowed Identity sound is direct and uncomplicated, using classic house and techno styles and applying them to dynamic arrangements that showcase a confident set of studio skills and a deep understanding of what excites the expectant dancer. Across the four tracks on the XXX EP, the perfect balance is struck between powerful rhythmic commands and psychoactive decoration, combining everything needed for a memorable club cut. 'Adictive' leaps out at the listener thanks to the sweeping piano hook and subby bassline, while 'Trans Trans Trans' brings a purposefully old-school feeling with its stark square wave synth lines and sleazy vocal groans. Regular Borrowed Identity collaborator Mechanical Soul Brother lends a hand to 'The Scene', which piles on the late night tension with its tightly wound chord stabs and rolling drums, before 'Life' showcases a more eclectic side to our latest signing thanks to a bongo-infused percussive throwdown and an uplifting dose of acid. Every one of these tracks brims with infectious energy, channeling the traditions of peak-time house and techno into a thoroughly modern approach that celebrates the instant gratification of a kick-ass dancefloor weapon, without compromising on that all-important soul.

After a five year absence the illusive COTTAM label returns. Since the original series Paul has travelled the world DJing, released on labels such as Aus & Versatile and started his own imprint Ruff Draft for his own original productions and tracks from other producers. Currently taking a break from DJing & concentrating on production it felt like the right time to reactivate the label that started it all with some new under-the-counter specials.

First up we have 'mixing tool', a heavy beat and percussion setting the dark & foreboding tone, the unease increasing like something is creeping up behind you until the distant war cries reveal themselves - a deep track that is much more than the title suggests.

Next up, the long awaited vinyl release for the Cottam re-wiring of a classic film title track, mixing the best elements of the originals synth score with a club ready beat and acid that adds to the original - this is one of the finest Carpenter reworks you'll hear.

Three impeccable pieces of stripped down, unfeigned tanz trax make out the debut release of Esther Silex - deejay extraordinaire, Colognian woman-about-town and very dear new addition to the Studio Barnhus family. The gargantuan yet free-flowing bassline of Hans, the menacing tension of Heinrich and the dawntime anthem Oskar are all testaments to Esther's unquestionable status as an impassioned powerhouse with enough West German swagger to create timeless music with equal parts simplicity and beauty.

Transit welcomes the mysterious Fx Mchn to the fold, who brings with him the previously released trippy, lo-fi warehouse monster "Dünn", alongside the spaced-out funk of "Piter De Vries". Lee Webster's Soul Reply EP kicks of the year for IUTSAN with two contrasting, yet seemingly connected tracks.
On the 'chocho' side you'll find 'Soul Replied' - a low slung love song with Moodymann-esque sampling and swung-out drums, dipping out occasionally as the female vocal comes in like a lullaby. In contrast on the 'culo' side, you'll find 'Devils Avocado' - an Ibiza terrace style jam that builds from the cutting synth line, a crescendo that finally drops into a total DC10 Weapon.

The 10&11th release of ROOM FULL OF RECORDS is OPSB(One Piece Session Band)again! OPSB is a three piece band and with the numbers Yoshiharu Yoshida (Flute, Pianica, Synth), PONCHI (Guitar, MPC), RYUNOSHIN (Bass). They have performed at lots of big stages regardless or not because of their live performance policy. Also, they are skaters, too, so they have many fans all over the world not only from their music but also from their skating. The 10th release Fullmoon' taste of exotic, rockin'. Thrilling bass line and exotic flute melody are coming at the first half but after that rough and edge guitar appear. The remix is Tokyo Black Star (Alex From Tokyo and Isao Kumano). It's solid and simple for direct to dancefloor because of long experience of DJing of Alex. He is playing a lot and getting the bomb from the dancefloor.
The 11th release is Slum Jazz Punk' ' sessão no céu'! Slum Jazz Punk' is taste not only punk rock but also free jazz. It's not standard 4beat dance music but it must be going to spread out to another genres. The remixer is Tadashi Yabe who is the member of UFO (united future organization). Swinging beat and acoustic guitar bring us to the air of Portuguese sessão no céu' is suit to listening and dance floor!
