House Vinyl New Releases - News

Adventures in Deep Space is a reflection of the wonder and complexity of recognizing that we as humans are creatures with a limited capacity stranded on a planet somewhere in the universe searching for meaning and purpose while also recognizing that what we do every moment can shape the outcome of our future on earth and might ultimately become small and meaningful stitching's that could shape the fabric of our future in space. Pillars of creation represents the beauty of the stars on a clear night and the inspiring feeling that staring at the galaxy gives: how grand the universe is, how amazing it is that we have the ability to love, think, and reason, how small our problems really are in the grand scheme of reality, the idea that there may be a purpose much greater than ourselves, and that somehow we could be a part of this grand purpose. Gravitational Effects is about the parallel between the physical properties of science and creation and how we are also all physically and mentally attracted to certain people. The music speaks to the deep connection that is possible between humans and how we should all respect each other to form a more loving, peaceful, strong, and lasting community. Crate Digging on Planet Omnom is about a dream and a hope... Traveling through the universe in a nice space cruiser with your niks - stopping by planet Omnom (aka Gary's place) for some dope new records, a hike in the alien mountains, a dip in some hot springs, and then topping the trip off with some space dancing around a neon green campfire.

Ideal Audio's latest offering is served up by Remain & Electric Rescue. "ERMA" finds the duo in sinister form.Their mysterious machine opens with a broken beat before its thumping kick-drum breaks through and powered by a rocky electrified bass riff marches on through two huge breakdowns. Marc Houle's remix unleashes a snarling bassline and spritely melody before the snare roll announces the the arrival of the synth line.

SUPER LIMITED. Sorry we can only supply v limited quantities.

Limited Edition, 300 copies. Info: Solkyss is back! After a well needed hibernation it's time to present a new born baby of the family! French kiss or TUNGKYSS is more than a snuggle - it's a musical collaboration with a common love for warm analog machines, late night jam sessions and a playful approach to life. YUMA EP is the result of all of the above - a straightforward collection of up-tempo tracks! The title track comes with a perfectly crafted remix from Spain's uncrowned king Pablo Bolivar!

It's with great pleasure that we offer up our next release from Dez Williams. One of our favourite producers of recent years through releases on standout UK labels like SCSI-AV, Acruacree, Ai and many others, we had noticed an absence of new 12"s since his storming doublepack on Patrick Pulsinger's Cheap imprint in 2008. So to put things right, here's an end to the Dez Williams vinyl drought - 4 tracks of bonafide Holyhead magic to rock the floor.
Starting with the melting frequencies of 'Underground Persistent', acid is in control. Like an Emmanuel Top and Kosmik Messenger track if they'd ever collaborated, this combines swingy 808 drums and masterful Detroit strings to a searing acid-line that keeps going and going. Switching things into more straight-ahead acid territory on A2, 'Untitledacid 6' has pretty much one intention and that's to jack hard. Perhaps one of Dez's heaviest techno tracks to date, it's a perfect snapshot of many hedonistic nights spent at The Orbit throughout his formative techno years.

'Freedom' on the flip is a dense techno workout that joins a strong looped vocal and distorted percussion to swamping sound fx, in a rough but funky way. This time an expert pad progression brings the track to an unexpected but fitting finale. Finally, and showing what a complete supremo he is where dark floor-friendly electro is concerned, Dez turns in a blistering cut of sci-fi electro with 'Courtesy Call'. We could have made a number of records with the amount of great electro tracks that Dez does, but in this case we just picked our favourite of the bunch.

Support from Dave Clarke, Perc, Laurent Garnier, Truss, JD Twitch, Tessela, Darko Esser, Paul Mac, Ancient Methods, Samuli Kemppi, Clouds, Kr!z, Smear, Minimum Syndicat, Lee Holman + more

John Digweed - Live in Argentina. Taken from live recordings of two phenomenal gigs at Rosario & Buenos Aires in late September.

Taken from their award winning album 'Fabrics of The Heart', the soulful duo Liquideep returns with another sizzler - "Feel it" remixes.

Featuring their favorite and Europe's finest Djs & Producers Stimming (Germany), Shur-I-Kan (UK) and Andre Lodemann (Germany) dishing out hot remixes for your pleasure.

Early DJ feedback:
Dj Rocco "Andre Lodemann remix is SUPER HOT. I love his work from the first time heard it! Gonna play it loud!"
Ian Pooley "Uuuuuih, fat remix line up!"
Phil Asher "Stimming remixes are awesome, I LOVE IT!. Honestly the Stimming Dub is "SICK"
Charles Webster "Really good release ... Love the Lodemann and the Stimming remixes."
Ralf Gum "I'm diggin' the Stimming remix. Gonna play it for sure"
Osunlade "Great release. Stand out remixes are the Stimming Dub and Shur-I-Kana's Vocal Mix"

The second of two remix EPs for Max Cooper's debut album Human - this one bringing one of the album's most talked about tracks Impacts for the first time, with an acid rework by Pitchfork favourites Factory Floor and Perc's insane, obtuse and uncompromising abstract version. This is also the first release of Harvey McKay's version of an earlier Max track, Von der Klippe Fallen - one long grinding techno beat that opens to the dramatic piano of frequent Max's collaborator Tom Hodge.

Soma present a special vinyl release from Glasgow based producer Petrichor. Fusing two tracks from his first two releases, Petrichor brings a unique and well-produced take on deep, melodic Techno.

Taken from the 2nd EP, Some Bara opens with a perfect melody of plucked synths working their way in over shuffling drum patterns, all taken deeper with perfect low end and sequenced with a very live feel to it. This is definitely a journey with Petrichor at the helm.

A firm favourite from Petrichor's 1st EP, Nukumori starts with more prominent percussion. Atmospheric synths come in to fill up the soundscape and the track slowly broadens out into an engrossing sound. The field recordings and vocal samples afford this track a unique, original quality. The end result is an invigorating and intriguing track that connects emotionally as well as sonically.

Frenchman Tanov hits the Monique Musique imprint with 2 techno stompers. Dark vocals and a repetitive bassline take control of the A side whilst on the B side a heavy hitting snare leads the infectious groove into a long break with some great effects. Essential release in the MM catalog.

Shaken-Up Versions contains new edits of some of The Knife's best-known tracks—"We Share Our Mother's Health" and "Silent Shout" among them

So it begins, Our good friends Zoo Look kindly kick off the Abstract Culture legacy, due out late this year the duo have worked out 2 awesome original cuts that each get remixed by some fine talent, "Together Like This" is the A-side and made with the dancefloor in mind, check it!
For the last couple of years UK duo Zoo Look have been pushing their brand of deep, sultry house to the likes of Morris Audio, Dirt Crew and Tsuba Ltd to name but three, backed up by remixes from the likes of Detroit Swindle and Medlar, garnering much praise from key tastemakers along the way. With regular dates across the UK and beyond and a string of popular podcasts, Zoo Look have been receiving attention for their selection behind the decks as much as they are their studio work, showcasing prowess beyond their years.
Abstract Culture so far has a 100% record. OK, so they've only one release, but they've really smashed it out of the park. Bournemouth's Zoo Look are blessed with populating this inaugural EP, 'Together Like This', a swing-laden groove flecked with acid. The art of the warm-up DJ is often lost these days, but this is the kind of track to be dropped when the gear needs to shift up.
The 'Purple Velvet Mix' humps too. 'The Duchess' is a brilliantly fucked up breakbeat houser, the likes of which we don't see enough. Bravo.

Garibovic is one of the hotest new starz shooting for a well deserved
succes. His new ep is mostly a mixture of nudisco and electronic beats
that are glued together quite nicely.

Even better, Garibovic seems great at picking not only the hottest,
but best remixers around. Washerman provides a deep as can be mix that
is catchy enough mix to hook nearly anyone. Prime time dancefloor
magic or leather chair relaxation music, this mix is pure ice. Clean
vocals, electronic bells, reverse warm pads, and echoes galore are in
great abundance throughout the track. Both a workout for your body and
your mind, the mix is one of those that you can listen to at your
house and not wonder when its over. In fact, I was quite dissapointed
when it was over... Sergio Santos&Tamer Malki are amazingly talented at
what they do, and this one only proves it more so. Many tracks appeal
to one producer, but this is one of the rare ones that will appeal to
everyone. Superb rhythm , sounds, and atmosphere throughout, well
worth checking out.

Big release featuring SHAUN REEVES , SALVO CASTELLI , THE CLOVER and JORGE SAVORETTI ! ! ! !

Known for dramatic dance tunes that previously found their way onto labels such as Innervisions, Last Night On Earth or global event brand / record imprint Just This, Italian duo HUNTER/GAME has evolved its sound into a uniquely expressive, yet subtly arranged variant of techno - music that confidently takes centre stage, but never puts the sonic means before its aesthetic goal. Honing a satisfying punch and mesmerizing melodies, the two producers based out of Milan and New York have already turned in two installments for our Speicher dance couture series, with "Hexagon" (Kompakt Extra 83) reaching the coveted 31 chart of Resident Advisor's monthly DJ Top 50 - all the while prepping an equally thrilling live set that feeds off a deep, handcranked groove in collusion with ebullient licks and percussive fervor.
Emmanuele Nicosia and Martino Bertola's album debut ADAPTATION bundles the most accomplished facets of their output so far, but also refines it - produced during the hot Milanese summer, the pair decided to retreat to a chalet in the Dolomite Alps, near a ski resort closed for the season, where they'd find just the right dose of inspiration in the deserted landscape. "That is basically where the Hunter/Game monicker is coming from", they explain, "walking alone through the silent nights, in the darkness of the mountains. It just has this profound impact on you, seeing a place that you only know bustling with human activity uncovered and naked, realizing to what extent human presence has somehow contaminated that piece of nature." It's a place "where you go for a walk and can still find fossils, and this precisely where we came up with the concept for 'Adaptation'".

Is that house or techno! All three songs come with a little bit of oomph poured from a cauldron.

incl. Mihai Popoviciu Remix !

Llongtime Globetrotter and Dessous affliate
Phonique joins forces with Acumen for the
latest slice of deep, emotional house music on
the irrepressible label.
Acumen, the multi-talented Frenchman who
also runs the renowned the Time Has Chan-
ged imprint, brings his trademark fair for melo-
dic inventiveness to Phonique's dance-foor
edge - and the results are exceptional.
The Moment features Boot Slap on vocal
duties, and dives deep into the underground
party vibe - a sick groove that grows into a fully
euphoric late night foor destroyer.

The instrumental version is also included here,
along with the man of the moment Mihai
Popoviciu who drops a tough, techy and
jacking rework that will go over big with discer-
ning clubbers the world over.

Daniel Stefanik is back on the track and it seems even stronger than ever before! After his cocoon album release confidence' and the associated remixes (by Mr. G, Adam Port, Legowelt and Matthias Kaden) Stefanik presents a true tech-house-monster as a dignified return to the label. With Twilight Zone' Stefanik moves away from his Detroit influenced background but stays true to his oldskool flavoured vibe. It is less dub and rooms here but more acid power that makes us move. Wild 909 beats and an overall atmosphere that is dry as a bone let this one communicate pure musical madness. This one rocks floors like thunderstorms. Label head and cocoon master Sven Väth proved this in his gigs over the last weeks and months as Twilight Zone' was one of his sets climax moments every time he dropped it. I Wonder' on the other side breathes the air of Octave One's Blackwater' merged with cool and dubby Basic Channel influences. Stefanik is back in his very own style based on his musical heroes and forms a big techn-house piece out of all the ingredients and influences. This one was made to be played in clubs, soon, at the next gig and loud...and often!

LTD Edition inc. Original + and the Strings of Love Mix !!!
DJ Cle & Mike Vamp aka Maertini Broes do it again.
Once more they flash us with a new contemporarily refreshed up-to-date mix of their super classic hit - FLASH' from 2001. Charmings strings are added to the trendy original and creating a cineastic and epic sound. This release turns the 001 of the label fromwithin definitly into something special. The EP contains remixes of Italoboyz, Marc Miroir and of the fromwithin labelowners Mark Deutsche & Musoé.

Italoboyz had a word with and created an extraordinary remix. This tribal-flecked interpretation create some hypnotic groove and unexpected breaks.
Sure you´ll hear it during the Ibiza season arround the island!

A techy house remix with trippy rolling old-school 303 snares is delivered by Marc Miroir. Right from the start this track pushes forward with on point setted drops plus a groovy baseline. This remix gives you what you expect.

And last but not least a minimal funky rework with additional recorded vocalshots and humansounds of the fromwithin labelowners Mark Deutsche & Musoé completes this historically EP.

Martini Broes seem to intent on staying true to their mission - Flash! Alles just for you !

Finally Repressed!
Traumer aka Romain Reynaud has been plugging away of late with a string of fresh material surfacing in 2014, much of which has seen the blossoming producer pick up support from the likes of Mr.G, Franck Roger, and Doc Martin to name but a few. Here we see Romain join the roster of Loco Dice's Desolat imprint. Across the double pack we see Traumer skilfully explore a range of styles, opening cut 'Hoodlum' eases us in nicely with a bass-driven, funk-infused groove fuelled by jazzy melodies and gritty drum sounds. 'Insola', which delves into darker territories, follows this with distorted rhythms, swirling vocal licks and a Detroit tinged stab sequence. 'Shuttering' employs a similar aesthetic tipping the focus towards weighty percussive elements while the processed chord hits subtly drive the movement of the composition. B2 'Static Run' explores new territories as Traumer blends a hypnotic arpeggio with bubbling low-slung percussion and expansive atmospherics. Entering the second 12' we have 'Swish' which sees Romain opt for a more refined and minimalistic drum groove and classic dub tactics to create a blossoming seven-minute cut. 'Wasp' tips the vibe back to peak hours with a bumpy head-nodding rhythm construction, while a low-pitched vocal and evolving, resonant synth lines add a further mind-bending appeal to the record. The package is then rounded off with closing pieces 'Chord X' and 'Mobius', the first of which, as the name would suggest is led by insistent chord sequences and rumbling low-end hits, while the latter well and truly polishes off the package in style with meandering synth lines and a tripped out, unfolding feel.

One more album from Can Ergun. He works experimentally and progressively in this album. This album is exactly Turkish techno and Can Ergun style with one word.

The Hamburg based Hannes Rasmus released a record in 2013 called "Analog Ist Besser" on Gold Panda's precious label Notown which also featured Luke Abbott from Border Community. This put him on the map for minimal electronic melodic music with a lot of tastemakers and friends of melodic techno. Hannes Rasmus who can be described as a shy person who has eveloped a big knowledge for vintage synthesizers over the years. His challenge has been to write music with hardware, sequence und synths. This may sound not so much of a challenge but for "people who know" the analog sound can bear as much beauty as it can be disastrous since it can be pretty much unpredictable and hard to handle as well. So we are talking here about a person who really loves and lives with analogue g
Time led him through various forms/genres of electronic music making, going step by step towards minimal electronic techno and house music. Meanwhile his aim alongside writing music is to build in Hamburg according to his personal demands, so this is as much of a process as doing music and time as he says. When he is not making music you can see him with a soldering iron building synth
with DIY kits or fixing old synths.
His EP on Traum "Musik Für Fünf Maschinen" refers to the equipment he used to write the music... the tracks however refer to swimming pools.

I walk around in the solar field. From here, the surrounding beams look like cylinderthick, motionless rain or comet tails painted onto the sky. The tower is all white because the sunrays are pointing directly at it, white in an erased way, like if you leave an empty patch on a drawing, and surrounded by a halo. I go over to one of the sun mirrors. It's huge and darkish and cold when I touch it. I don't know if it's cold and immune to the sun or transfixed in a much more extreme way than the desert. A solar plant can take much more sunlight. It has direct access, like a clip through into the thing outside. The widest zone, like the highest point when it's lightning. The sunlight is magnetic. Intense heat from the mantle pushing against the crust to get closer to the sun.

* Sigma & Rita Ora's 'Coming Home' is the new single from Sigma's debut album, 'Life'. Unveiled this morning across UK radio, 'Coming Home' was the highlight of Cam and Joe's recent Roundhouse show, when Rita joined them to perform the track live for the first time. The single is available to download from Friday 6th November, and as an iTunes 'Instant Grat' for fans who pre-order 'Life'. 'Coming Home' sees Sigma once again collaborate with UK songwriting giants TMS and Wayne Hector (with whom they made 'Changing'), and a stunning, acoustic version is available on the album.

* Across 'Life's' 20 tracks (on the deluxe edition), Cameron Edwards and Joe Lenzie have combined the UK's hottest stars with the next wave of new British talent. Alongside Rita Ora, 'Life' features a dizzying array of collaborators including Ella Eyre, Ella Henderson, Diztortion, Maverick Sabre, Paloma Faith, Labrinth, Jacob Banks, Jetta, Bartoven, Majestic, Doctor, Nicole Jackson, and Ina Wroldsen.

* Forged in the white-heat of drum & bass's Noughties revival, Sigma have now sold over 2 million singles, with 4 hit records (2x OCC No.1s, 3 iTunes No.1s) and 2 platinum awards to date. They've received 2 Brits nominations, sold out their debut live tour, and played festival main stages across the world with performances including Glastonbury, Bestival, Reading & Leeds, V, T In The Park, Creamfields, SW4, EDC, Pukklepop, Sziget and beyond. They're also the only drum & bass outfit to have performed at the BAFTAs ceremony one night, and a warehouse rave the next.

Following 2013's fantastical 'Heat Crime', Tim further explores his unique take on house music with two original tracks which make stylistic nods to the past but lead us elatedly to a place of uncommon and personal vision. On the A side we have 'Squiggles', a late night piece of tentacled whimsy. A joyful frolic in a fishy stream under the stars and in the Japanese garden of your soul. 'Like U Want Me 2' is a missive from yearning loins to a beloved recipient, "whilst we're both on earth in these fleshy suits". An unminced declaration of desire from one luminous blue erotic body to another. On the B side we found just the creature to flip Tim's script and deliver a singular rework. The Mole burrows further than we ever expected, dragging 'Squiggles' into unexplored territory deep within his underground tunnel network and having his way with it for the length of a short film. Timothy Blake is an Irish born electronic musician based in Berlin. After some years building up his studio and knowledge in the early to mid 90s, Tim began attempting to emulate the prevalent disco sounds of late 90s dance music, inadvertently developing his own sound. Later absorbing the atmospheric and stylistic influence of filmmakers such as Robert Altman, Nicolas Roeg and Brian de Palma, Tim felt inspired to make music reflecting similar moods and themes. By the mid 2000s Tim was a regular feature on Dublin's live music and DJ circuit. Following projects that didn't come to fruition with early influences Derrick May and Mad Mike Banks, he beat a retreat from the clubbing scene and concentrated on his compositions. However a later move to Berlin has seen Tim find a voice with releases on Kleine Reise Records, Dirt Crew, Fatty Fatty Phonographics and Lectric Sands NY.

As a DJ/producer/label owner, Anthony Collins is a man of many talents. Since first landing on the decks as a young 17-year-old in France to holding down some of New York's finest parties and uncovering new talent from different corners of the globe, Collins remains a steady fixture in today's evolving electronic scene. An explorer of different soundscapes, Collins is widely known for delivering strings of quality releases. This April, HAKT Recordings proudly presents Lie To Me, the latest diamond in the rough by Collins. Our journey begins with the album's eponymous track. Its raw, gritty, in-your-face pounding bassline immediately captivates, gradually building up to an unforgettable vocal drop. A nod to old school Chicago and ghetto house, Big Willy's grimy, infectious vocal work brings the track to life as he roars, 'This motherfuckin' pimp's got to get P-A-I-D.' Recorded years earlier, it wasn't until Collins cleaned out an old hard drive that he re-discovered the vocals-undoubtedly a blessing in disguise for listeners as the end result is a powerful,12-minute beast of a track destined to elevate listeners into a state of hedonistic euphoria. Following suit is the markedly calmer but equally throbbing jam, 'Swing State.' Though it relies on the similar old school style as its antecedent, the EP's second single remains an instrumental track. Amid crackling kicks and snares, the jacking groove takes hold when a sudden chorus of thundering claps erupts toward the finish line before drifting to a close. Stripping away any remnants of Big Willy's vocals, what remains on the EP is a dub offering by Collin's label companion and Frank & Tony's other half, Francis Harris under his Lightbluemover alias.

Alex Jones brings his Dense & Pika project to home base on the 'Lynn' EP, delivering, alongside partner Chris Spero, a storming 4 track single for Hypercolour.

Right after the tremdendous irritation caused by Pommes 001 has reached its peak, here comes - surprise surprise: pommes002 ! This time reviving the worst or the best 90ies club music had to offer. The A-Side belongs to Daniel Nentwig aka one half of The Working Elite, one third of the now defunct Extraproduktionen and Whitest Boy Alive's Keyboard-Wizard. He's wearing his brandnew D'Lonely Al sweater and presents "We can have it all" , a well hung slice of sparkeling proto house that could have fit very well on a KissFM Mastermix by Tony Humphries! Next up we have the pleasure to present to you the debut release of Cologne based Skateboard Pro Jeremy Reinhard aka Jeremaier, who teamed up with Paco Guedes and no other than Arj Snoek (whose track People Know had been and still is a true milestone for the Terre De Pommes possee!) . "Goldnugget " is something like the alternative college radio version of Show Me Love by Robin S! Good vibes galore-- - Just like Robin Hood - Terre Des Pommes takes it from the rich and gives it to the poor.. Probably the only explanation for the Trance Acid Remix of tech house outlaw Phillip Lauer.. Panflutes anyone
