Its been six months since we enjoyed the freshest sounds from Dissonant boss Marc Antona. The release of his 'Darwin' ep for Truesoul and our heavily supported 'In Flagranti' ep, bookended April of this year and saw Marc preparing for his summer residency in Ibiza. The party island played the perfect host to the Frenchman as electrified the floor of Marco Carola's hugely successful Music On parties. Three months on the spiritual white isle was always set to influence and inspire and it was these experiences and special moments that Marc sought to share through his new productions. Our first taster of these summer sessions is the double-header of 'Sorry For The Violence' and 'Thats The Way To Do It.' We are treated to trademark Antona grooves powered by organic percussion and crisp drum work that gives both tracks an uncluttered spacial feel. You can sense the summer breeze flowing through each. As the winter chill draws closer our new Dissonant release allows us to hold tight, those final rays of sunshine.

The real sound of deep house... from Chicago 1987.Originally released on Street Sound, "In The City" has been fully re mastered for 2015. This is the second single from Master C & J (they later went on to pen the seminal "Face It") once again featuring the timeless vocals by Liz Torres

Perbec is Mark Broom and Baby Ford. Their last vinyl outing was "Variety Club" for the seminal Ifach imprint in 2001. Here they return with "Chaser" an epic journey into the original principles of house music. Infectious bass, Chicago-style keys and deep, analog synth pads announce that the party is very much in full force. Flip the disc for "Long John" which features stripped rhythms with plenty of swing and energy - equally suited to the main room or afterhours. Mastered at D & M.

Techno exists in a distorted field. What is wrong elsewhere is right here. What shouldn't work works. Awake at night and asleep by day. Rough is beautiful, slick is rotten. With Macro, things are always a bit more wrong than usual. And that's how they also end up being a bit more beautiful than usual. Stefan Goldmann's Fossil Water': Fender bass tones weave a pad, from the thumping bottom up to the silky top, congregating into intense moments of dance floor bliss. The B-side throws us in at the deep end, with the tense yet laid back workout of Nephelin', tipping over into the sheer techno claustrophobia of De-Gauss.' Dark and warm like a Stockholm syndrome: feeling cozy while the horror comes upon you.

Swedish house hero Tiger Stripes steps to the Barnhus with Twilight - a high-octane destroyer of clubs loaded with thunderous drums and shadowy yet sweet organ melodies. The dub version strips the track right down while adding some extra crash 'n boom before Studio Barnhus comrade HNNY closes things out with a slow-swingin' spook story recorded straight to cassette. Vinyl only until further notice.

Heavy remix package for Mano Le Tough's debut album "Changing Days": Tale Of Us, Dixon and New Jackson deliver fantastic reworks perfectly shaped for the dancefloor.

Over the past few years, Mano Le Tough has become one of the shooting stars of the international dance music scene. His impact has been so great that Kristian Beyer of Âme claimed recently in an interview that: "Thanks to Mano Le Tough, I have no fears for the future of house." And not just Beyer, the entire Innervisions gang including Âme and Dixon have become fervent supporters of Mano Le Tough's warm and melodic, yet driving sound.

Niall Mannion as Mano is known to his parents, is originally from Greystones, a seaside village near Dublin, Ireland. After an eclectic musical youth and a move to Berlin, Mannion first popped up on the electronic music radar in 2009 with an ep on legendary disco Viking Prins Thomas' Internasjonal label. With his unique mixture of modern disco, atmospheric house and electronica (although musical genres like these do not quite capture the essence of Mano's music; he prefers to describe it as "cool songs" or "folkal house" which seem in some way more appropriate), Niall quickly gained massive interest in his music. So it was no surprise that eps on such acclaimed labels as Tensnake's Mirau imprint, Dirt Crew recordings and Ben Watt's Buzzin Fly followed his remarkable debut. In no time Mano also became a much sought after remixer for the likes of Aloe Blacc, Midnight Magic, Flowers and Sea Creatures and Roisin Murphy.

That Mano also knows his onions as a DJ has been proven over the years at his monthly party in Berlin called Passion Beat, which he runs with his old friend and fellow paddy The Drifter (with him and their friend Baikal they also set up their own label Maeve in 2012 ). With his ever growing reputation, he soon got heavily booked worldwide and became a regular in some of the best clubs in the world including Panorama Bar, Trouw and Robert Johnson.

Robosonic has been a pivotal part of Off Recordings roster, their releases being highly expected every time and usually meaning instant dancefloor melting magic. With a hip hop and techno background and adding many frequent flyer miles with worldwide gig schedule, the pair shows no sign of stopping. This time is no exception, Cord and Sacha get back in their creative roll of sample wizardry to provide two mouth watering jams. They once again prove their love for organic sounds and reivindicate the use of the turntable as an instrument, adding that old-school vibe to their trademark beats.
'Macho Madness" is quite a trip, sweet rhodes over a bouncy bassline, great sample work adding guitars and an insane speech. As always, breakdowns are intense and its impossible not to dance to the groove!
For the second track, Robosonic joins another Off family team, Mat.Joe and together they go deep into their hip hop influences again working the samples as only they could, a little disco flavor, a driving bass...All the ingredients are there for another instant classic and a respectful shout out to Detroit producer legend J Dilla, who left the game too early. R.I.P!

Three in a row... Stephen Brown's up for his third Indigo release already. Already in the game for more than 20 years, he always achieves a particular and distinctive sense of grooviness, funk and soul in his music that nobody else ever can. The fact that a lot of DJs still play Stephen's tracks from 20 years ago underline how timeless his music is. Right here Brown delivers an EP that's variously fulsome and funky, skipping yet seriously weighty and tripped out and intergalactic, whilst the Antigone remix is full of nerve jangling texture and drum driven brut force.

5 years ago I begun an awesome adventure called Suara. After a few records the label started to be called the label of the cats. Nowadays it's one of the hottest new brands of the techno/house music industry. Today we arrive to the release #100, a very special one. That's why I've asked to some of my fav artists ever to remix "Southen Instinct", one of my most popular records of the latest years. Riva Starr, Vince Watson and Satoshi Tomiie are on the controls of this kitty ship.

This will follow closely to the huge VernoN - "How to travel the universe....". It's gonna be another big one!

Once again, straight from the slums of..... well, we're not really sure because we still don't know who he is yet. In fact, it's probably safe to say that Marquis Hawkes doesn't live in a slum at all, but is actually holidaying in Monte Carlo as we speak. His infiltration of the bourgeoisie is likely responsible for the world's most powerful people's Daughters perpetually acting like they're at a field rave in England circa '93. There's a classy element to this EP that shows they're maybe rubbing off on him too. A track like "Acid Snowfall" isn't quite apt to soundtrack a skiing holiday in the Bavarian Alps to be sure though, with it's gritty, minimal 303 and vintage "AH" sample. And "Big Papa" is as close to family friendly as we get here, and only really if your family have been gangbangers for four generations. Deep g-funk for the golden age of organised crime. Of Course, no Marquis Hawkes DABJ release would be complete without the now obligatory raw, thumping ghetto track, and we reckon "Get Yo Ass Off My Grass" is the best one yet. The 12" closes out with "Hold On", roping in the some of the better elements of classic Garage and adding a dollop of dusty cowbell action. Nobody doesn't like cowbells, and that be the facts. Don't sleep!

Indigo æra presents the first solo release from Takasi Nakajima known from the duo Different World which he formed together with Claude Young.

Takasi Nakajima has been DJing and producing since 1994 and working as Different World since 2005. The duo was responsible for the track "Think Twice" a much talked about inclusion on Marcel Fengler's Berghain 05 Mix­CD. The track with it's unique classic Detroit feel, eventually got a full vinyl release on Indigo Aera. As live­ and DJ duo Different World, Takasi also released on Kirk Degiorgio's ART label in 2011, has remixed Octave One and has released remixes and originals on Kevin Saunderson's KMS Recordings. Now focussing on solo work after Different World have suspended activity, this new EP finds him in fine form.

'Basicmath One' is seven minutes of delicate ambient, suspending in mid air. 'Basicmath Two' is a deep and supple techno groove with starry night skies unfolding over tom­layered kicks and 'Basicmath Three' then gets more propulsive with its soul infused synths, straight hi­hats and classic Detroit vibes. A remix of it from Jasper Wolff & Maarten Mittendorff layers in a much heavier and more physical kick drum then 'Basicmath Four' drops into a more house leaning groove, but one that is riddled with lush pads, rainy melodies and futuristic atmospheres. Lastly, 'Solar System' is a perfectly spaced out sound world of intergalactic pads and scurrying melodies that is full of alien life but very human emotions. Blissful stuff from start to finish, it proves Takasi Nakajima is as fascinating when solo as he ever is.

Second in the 'Mutant City Acid' series features four more tracks of 303 action from the Balkan Vinyl roster. Opening the 12' is Rotten Scoundrels On Acid by acid legends Hardfloor, on form with a piece of serious four-to-the-floor hardware action. Following that is Break Bones, a tribal voodoo 303-fest from Rag & Bone head honcho Warlock

On the flipside, Shinra stakes his claim with the purist electro styles of Endgame, all clattering beats & filmic bleeps. The EP closes out with the wonky house of Wheels Of Funk from Maltese producer Acidulant.

Acid bass music for DJs to play to dancefloors; strictly limited to 303 hand-numbered copies on 12' vinyl - no digital, no represses. The last edition of Mutant City Acid sold out in just a few days, as have all of the last five I Love Acid releases on Balkan. Don't sleep.

Late November will see the release of Hackman's 'Carry On' EP via 2020Vision, backed with a remix from Rampa.

English producer Ben Hackman, better known to most as simply Hackman has made huge shapes over the past four years since making his debut on RAMP sub-label PTN back in 2010. Ben has since gone on to unveil material through other reputable imprints such as Greco Roman, Well Rounded and Futureboogie Recordings, testament to his striking production skills and contemporary appeal. Here we see Ben push on adding yet another driving force in the industry to his associations, namely 2020Vision.

Kicking things off is the original mix of title cut 'Carry On', seeing Hackman employ soft ethereal textures, crisp percussive elements and fervent vocal lines injecting soul and charm into the composition. Ben then implements his signature rugged, drawn-out bass sounds to the focal stages adding the grit and cutting intensity his records have become so known and loved for over the years. A 'Dub' take on 'Carry On' is offered up to follow, and as the name would suggest we're treated to a more refined, progressive and groove-led interpretation of the original cut.

Opening up the latter half of the release is Mobilee/Cocoon artist Rampa's rework of 'The Blue', laying the focus on a hypnotic, percussive led structure to take the lead, while the dreamy soundscapes and sub bass stabs of the original track are sporadically thrown into the mix, resulting in a stunning seven and a half minute steady bloomer. The package is then rounded off with 'The Blue (Instrumental)', seeing Hackman fuse bumpy off-kilter rhythms with multi-layered grainy synth lines, closing things on a smooth and melodious tip.

London based producer iO Sounds has been making big shapes in the underground over the past few years, the rising artist dropped an exciting collaborative EP with Lakosa via Kerri Chandler's MadTech imprint last year, as well as a remix for Chandler's long-running Madhouse label. We've also heard outstanding guest mixes for Cameo on BBC's 1Xtra and Coco Cole's Capital FM show. With this in mind it's no surprise to see the enigmatic producer snapped up for a series of releases on 2020Vision, a label that has a knack for finding talent in the early stages of their career.

'C'mon People' kicks off the 12, seeing iO Sounds craft a rugged composition with a lo-fi productionfeel, the dusty atmospherics lay the foundations, while the crunchy percussive elements, rich bass tones and spoken-word vocal snippets add a raw charm and quality to the aesthetic, kicking things off in style. This is followed by 'Execute', which embraces a similar feel, tipping the focus towards gritty drum sounds, while dubbed out piano chords and processed synths create an ever-blossoming dynamism.

Opening the flip side of the release is 'Freak You', a heavily bass-led workout employing penetrating sub tones; robust off-kilter rhythms and mesmerizing processed vocals uttering the tracks title. Then last up to close the package is 'All Your Life', an intelligent closing piece which veers things into a more refined, low-slung feel, iO Sounds pulls the production back to a more sparse feel here to wind things down, fusing his signature dusty drum sounds with cosseting piano hits and warm bass sounds tucked into the depths of the composition.

This is a yet another classy offering as expected from 2020Vision; iO Sounds' 'Uncut Vol.1' is out on 2020Vision 21st July 2014.

Samba inspired beats and an intense shot of acid chord stabs propel along a belching bass to create an intoxicating dance slammer

Feel good dance music, smile n' drive mutant disco with remixes by Ilya Santana and Sleazy McQueen. Evol Ai, artistic moniker of Slovenian based musician, producer and dj Alan Roposa, represents the emotional half of his musical orientation, while the other half Qualiass aims more at his energetic soundscape. Evol Ai is smile hunter and emotion cultivator, knowing that smile and tears come from the same place. It's the love in reverse, it is love in chinese and it's what the "I" loves.

Background wise, Alan's first major 12" Qualia release titled Qualia Nation EP came out in 2004 on Minimal Records. Thru the past decade, he's been musically evolving his aliases from Qualia, Qualia Six, Qualia 6, Qualias Dead to Qualiass and Evol Ai, wrapping over 20 releases on various labels around the world (see discography belew). As well as he did remixes for Laurent Garnier, Franz Ferdinand, Lindstrm a.m.o.

Besides producing, making music for video games, advertisements and theater, Alan's been involved in various bands as a guitar player and the man behind the machines, most notoriously with fellow studio partner Yanoosh (Ohmfat), with whom they had a series of fresh and unique sounding live performances, which concluded in 2011 as full band support for The Klaxons at various festivals and clubs. Besides distinctive live shows with the band, Alan also tends to put distinctive element in his dj sets, which are a kind of a hybrid mix between dj, live and re-edit approach from tech to disco. As such, Evol Ai and Qualiass sets always leave the dancers satisfied and fulfilled with eclectic and broad range selection of music, feel-good attitude, creative mixing, "fu*k the genres" storytelling and "let's have fun, because we are not rocket scientists" stage presence.

In 2012 he started doing music under the name Evol Ai, debuting with first ever track La Fu on Nang's Beach Disco Sessions 3 compilation by Ilya Santana. His first solo release, two track La Fu EP came out few months after on respected label Nang Records and got support from many big names in nudisco, deep house and house scene, with the track La Fu selected as one of the favorites at the time by Bottin and heard on numerous mixes and dance floors around the world.

Villalobos & Proper! Yep, this sounds as brilliantly mental as you'd hope! A collaboration of sorts - music made for the 12" format.. quite bloody huge!! TIP!
San Proper is unleashing his inner beast! The results will be served up on his debut album 'Animal', due out spring 2012. In anticipation to this outburst, two Ricardo Villalobos mixes are now available of the title track.

While working frenetically on his debut album, San took a few days out to visit Ricardo Villalobos in his Berlin studio. Over the course of three days (and nights) they worked on two extended, electronic excursions in trademark Villalobos style.

The results are captured in a haunting piece which travels through a rich landscape of fine textures and in which San's eery vocals fade in and out and carries the listener through his process of becoming an... animal.

Comes as a 14+ astonishing minute dub version and a more upbeat 10 minute club mix.

On the flip, Chilean sonic soundsmith Ricardo Tobar takes "These Nights Never End" and delivers the kind of beautiful, intricate rework that made his recent album "Treillis" such a beguiling trip.

Born the son of a Jazz musician and brother to British hip-hop artist Monie Love, Dave's path in music came to the fore during the 80s acid house scene in London

Dave's weekly broadcast on pirate radio station Phaze One catapulted him into the spot light with notable publications like Mixmag, DJ Magazine and The Guardia. He has remixed Orbital, Sun Electric, Carl Cox, Juan Atkins, Spooky, James, Roni Size and Underworld and released on esteemed labels such as Polydor/Love, OuterRythum, Fnac, React Records, Island, R+S and Outrage as well as his own infamous Rotation records.
