As these guys are down with both house music and the UK Garage scene we get served an EP that combines the best of both styles. The result is a jacked up house release that would work equally well at the classic New Jersey Zanzibar club or in your dirty London basement club. The first three tracks (Monster Munch, Newark and Life) takes us on a deep and jackin' house trip with a bouncy garage twist.
But to stir things up a lil' extra the last track (Special) goes all disco with some soulful philly samples...perfect for the Southport Weekender crews!

Tom Trago's Voyage Direct series welcomes another new Amsterdam artist to its roster. This time it is the up and coming MPC lord Overlast, who debuts on the label with a killer two tracker!
With this single Overlast is coming to a zone of his own. 'Alien' is a smooth, yet weirdly alienating house jam that hits hard. 'Range Rover' must be the next car anthem, especially for those who drive one (and have a loud sound system). A shexy, half time bass banger that takes it to the next level. Amazing stuff!

So here it is...and it's been a long time coming: Metrobox makes his full debut on WPH. After collaborating vocals on last year's 'Red D Meets Vol 1' Metrobox has been working hard to create an E.P. that is totally WPH. And boy has he delivered!
'Juno 11' is one of those tracks you can play anywhere, anytime, anyplace: sultry, seductive, powerful and with a melody that sticks in your head instantly. More of that with 'Ode To WPH', Metrobox' own celebration of our label, and the very first part-Dutch lyrics on WPH. An attitude we can only commend! Beware: vocals can be addictive...
Talking about addictive, when we heard the remix our Japanese WPH connection Humandrone did of 'Ode Aan WPH'...we were hooked, and we stay hooked even after playing it endlessly. Listen to it, and share our anticipation for the upcoming full E.P. by Humandrone on WPH... But back to Metrobox, who rounds off his label debut with 'Live The Dream', another winner in the wake of E.P. opener 'Juno 11'. A killer melody, subdued vocals and a groove that...won't stop Welcome home Metrobox!

Back in the 90's Orlando Voorn was one of the first european producers to establish the bridge between Detroit & Europe. With countless releases on classic label's like KMS, R&S Records, Clubstitute, International Deejay Gigolo, Ignitor and ESP Records to name a few, Voorn is a important name in the history of electronic music. The last years Voorn have been laying low, mostly focusing on producing his forthcoming album which will be out very soon. This release is a taste of what to expect of Voorn in 2013 as he returns with a incredible strong EP. Starting off with 'One Day' which features soul legend Marvin Gaye on the vocals and is a funky, jazzy & soulful house track with the perfect groove. The follow up track 'Won't Be Long' is another great track, soulful detroit house at it's best! On the flip side you get 'Takadakadina' which is a hypnotic super funky house track, sounding something like Derrick Carter just moved to Detroit.. The final track 'Soul Survivor' is the bomb on this EP, a deep deep journey into Theo Parrish territory with mind-blowing elements of soul & detroit of the highest quality! All in all an impressive release and that marks the return of a king!

Over the last year I've traveled to Canada frequently for gigs and got to know the small but healthy electronic music scene there.Cities like Montreal, Vancouver and Toronto have brought forth many established artists over the past few years, such as Egyptrixx,Azari & III, Basic Soul Unit, Jacques Greene, Lunice and Sixtoo, but 2012 has seen a new breed of no-nonsense house and techno producers come up via labels like Turbo Recordings and Naked Lunch.
This "Dovercourt EP" features four very talented producers: Kevin McPhee, Nautiluss, Gingy and fresh face Bruce Trail. Their tracks are a dedication to their hometown of Toronto. Being removed from the house/techno epicentres of Berlin and London, these four are much less interested in what's fashionable or trendy, and more in bringing us straight to the point, no frails jacking house music. I've been playing these four extensively in my DJ sets, and I hope you will too. So out to Toronto, this one's for you! Enjoy. Martyn

Despite antagonizing copyright claims on Youtube, empty threats from fake lawyers, and tough-guy chest-thumping from boastful Belgians, "The Heat" flips the dial to "fuck you" and lays it out for The People to just enjoy without all the elitist posturing. With that said, the "IMPROPER TRAX" begin!

Fast forward to 2012 and it's hard to believe that KMS is still releasing records. With such a long history, what better way to celebrate than to release a special CD Boxset. Each format includes a plethora of gems which have been released on KMS over the last 25 years.

Mock & Toof are back following on from their superb debut album 'Tuning Echoes' in 2010.
The first material to emerge from the new album is called 'My Head' & it features vocals from young Swiss artist Ghostape. In a nutshell it's one little catchy chugger with a heavy analog sound. The beats of the Boss DR-55 & the inimitable bass of the TB-303 lay the foundation. Clavs, bell lines and synth sweeps combine with Ghostape's repetitive dubbed out vocals for a unique sounding electro-dub-funk inspired cut.

Luckily so is the music, as this edition of the Summer Special series focuses on three tracks that were about to get lost in the ever-growing jungle of digital only releases. The A-side is a complete Arto Mwambe affair, with the Offenbach boys giving their house meets bliss treatment to Armagnac's 'Curve' first. Released on French digital outlet All Naked Records, Arto and his Mwambes do what they do best: house music full of melody and surprise, with some disco & boogie influences lurking in the mix. The second track is their remix of Viadrina's 'Better', digitally released on Pets Recordings and now in all its melodic glory ready to be banged by quality-seeking house DJ's worldwide.
A WPH release without any San Soda input Not a chance! Our boy wonder made a remix last year for Barck & Prommer, one that got released on vinyl. But he also made another remix that never saw the light of day for reasons unknown to people vaguely aware of what Belgian trance influences can do... Making a stand-out debut on the Visionquest imprint, one of North America's most dexterous and versatile producers Brett Johnson steps up with 'Move Power' - a dense and heady double hitter of quirky chemical romance and rolling sharp edged house with an evocative lick of vocals courtesy of Ellipsis.
Dallas native Brett Johnson has been in the business of blowing up dancefloors for quite some while employing multiple guises. As producer, DJ and label owner, Brett has deftly crossed boundaries over house, techno disco and R&B delivering a cascade of benchmark releases for well over a decade including 'Stucco Homes' on Classic, 'Temptation and Lies' from album project with David Barker and his momentous remix of Scooper & Bubba 'I'm Satisfied'. Brett has also been running own imprint Bang The Box with close friend Lance DeSardi since 2007.

Enlightened Wax returns with a fistful of kick drums to the face and a whole load of crunchiness to boot. Part Analogue Cop, part Third Sider, part machine - the incomparable Marieu makes a return to his own label alongside Berlin's rising analogue fiend, Hinode who makes himself heard right from the start of A1, submerging us into a shuffling, funked-out frenzy of samples and ruthless percussion. The A2 is another brutal monster, where bursting toms, cascading synths and analogue rawness align to form an irresistible peak-time burner; but it's on the B1 that things turn really nasty - some seriously off-kilter percussion moulds seamlessly with gorgeous strings only to fall back apart into a winding bundle of slicing drums. Not much can be said about the B4, it's just a classic 'MG' (Marieu-Groove) bomb: dusty drums, shredded vocal samples and those jagged piano keys grinding their way into that seductive Enlightened Wax vibe. Marieu and Hinode packing some serious heat....Vinyl only for that extra punch!

Producing under the Isoul8 and Volcov names for labels like Sonar Kollektiv, Still Music, Rush Hour he remixed artists like Jazztronik, Frankie Valentine, Azymuth, Taylor McFerrin, Paul Randolph, Tokyo Black Star.
Released the album Rima 'This World' for Jazzanova Compost together with Domu in 2003 and later on his debut solo 'Balance' for Sonarkollektiv in 2006.

He founded Archive records in 1997, Neroli in 2000, SJNRL in 2003 and has been responsible for the younger label Reincarnation records with Slam Jam. Dj, collector and music lover since the late 80s, has played all around Europe, USA and Japan (where he still has various collaborations).

The latest projects include a new 12' with Paul Randolph on Especial Japan, a split 12' of covers of the Classic 'Stop Bajon' with Theo Parrish for Archive records, a remix for Far Out, an ep with Jenifa Mayanja for Bu-Mako and a new album project with Gerald Mitchell (Los Hermanos/Underground Resistance) and other Detroit artists like
Randolph and Pirahnahead due in the end 2012.

Now Remain steps up once again, this time joining forces with Throne of Blood duo Maxime Pasquier and Andrew Potter AKA Populette for a superb new single entitled 'Discomfort'. Remain has been at the forefront of France's techno/electro scene for several years now releasing music through labels such as Relish, Throne of Blood, Ideal Audio and of course Meant. French born Maxime Pasquier and
US East coast native Andrew Potter met in 2003 and began throwing parties in and around NYC, they formed Populette in 2010 and have been at the heart of the success of the uber cool Throne of Blood label. 'Discomfort' is a superb slice of atmospheric, breaks driven electronica that truly showcases the production talents of all involved. Live drums are fused with dark edged synth lines, haunting FX and subtle vocal elements to create a swirling, disorientating, hypnotic record that is outstanding. The original version is backed up with a trio of remixes. The first comes from US techno heavyweight Troy Pierce who delivers a deep, dark workout that journeys to techno's outer realms, next we have the ever-excellent Chloe who turns in a version that blurs musical genres with it's techno come disco
feel and finally Spain's Marc Pinol comes up with a brilliant slo-mo rework that mines the depth's of modern electro disco.

In Munich the sun always shines. Even at night. This Pastamusik LTD is the living proof for that. The sonic power even increased after a DEMO arrived in here by Orient Expense. A Demo by a young talented man carrying the seldom name KAAN DUZARAT. Of course, after listening to his tunes we had to unpack shorts and skirts since the heat started to become unbearable. Finally we concluded that heat in winter is a good thing so we gave the release an earlier release date. Kaan is different he's slow without losing himself into the general discovery of slowness. His tracks sound like they were produced at 40C heat without losing the focus on Techno as its main goal. Rare and beautiful worlds got openend to tbe listeners ears. At his hometown, the young man is responsible for the bookings of Istanbuls Nightclubs Otto and MiniMuzikhall and he also runs his own new label named Vesveseve from which we believe will hear a lot more in the future.The B-Side is a reshape (what an un-German word) by THE ANALOG ROLAND ORCHESTRA in it's unique stylish way and shows us how a Turkish Bazar would work in Munich.

Poisson Chat Musique celebrates its first anniversary with a strong and versatile Ep, introducing two very talented newcomers. Tim Dornbusch opens with Spaceperiode, a great and inspired dub-techno vision of a post-war city (could be the dark-side of Roger 23's Elemental 7). Label owner Poisson Chat tells a deep story about an irresistible mermaid named Linda. And finally, after his collaboration with Poisson Chat on Ray Manta (PCM003), Chahe Demian aka Blu Farm closes this Ep with Pig, one of the coolest track on Poisson Chat Musique.
This Ep is followed by a ten-track compilation (One year compilation). After a lot of requests from all over the world, eight tracks chosen from the five Eps of PCM, including Poisson Chat, Roger 23, Break SL, Gomez / Rey / Barokskki, Tim Dornbusch, and Blu Farm are finally available digitally. Disco Bloodbath Recordings continue their run of stellar releases with the debut on the label of the mysterious Al Gobi, accompanied by heavy remix pressure courtesy of Crooked Man and Wild Geese.
The 'Halfway House' original is simple yet extremely effective. Analogue drums work with twin bass and piano lines building to a dancefloor satisfying crescendo.
The first remix sees Wild Geese inject some big room energy via thundering sub-bass and a reworked piano line while on the flip Crooked Man provides an eleven and a half minute epic, retaining the bassline of the original but replacing the drums with a killer electro groove and introducing additional vocals and a twisted horn part. BIG TUNE!!

IS IT BALEARIC hit their late 20's with another superb release - this time Craig Bratley steps up with Analogue Dreams
Craig has earnt quite a reputation from only a handful of releases, including the Weatherall favourite and classic cut 'Birdshell' on Instruments Of Rapture.
On Analgue Dreams, Craig lays down a gently evolving, Acid tinged Piano slow burner, all mood and melody.
First up on the remix we have the ever essential Bonar Bradberry who amps things up and takes a clonking bass riff down the Disco for a real good time.On the flip Crimea X pare the musical elements right down and build an epic remix from the raw ingredients, employing live percussion and shimmering synths.
Finally Joe's Bakery dial down the tempo and incorporate some deft acoustic guitar and gentle moodswings alongside the musical elements of the original

Hot on the heels of our first release, Paradise Club Recordings are straight back to business with another limited run, coloured vinyl EP that should further establish the labels growing reputation for diverse, forward thinking musicianship and staunch production values.Opening proceedings on the A-side is the stunning 'One Man & His Lighthouse' by Blacksmif. Dense synth textures are layered upon
a foundation of dynamic, pulsing cross rhythms to create an enchanting garage-meets-soul flavour that has come to define his distinct style. Continuing on the A side, Juno Sutton steps up on remix duties, creating a highly functional rework by ducking the tempo and stripping down the groove, realigning the track toward the dance-floor, while still perfectly complimenting Blacksmif's more offbeat original.
On the AA-side, Jabru shows another string to his bow and drops the pace further with the slowburning 'Butterfly Stitched' (vinyl exclusive). Here, deep pounding 808s and driving claps are woven into lo-fi pads and a haunting vocal sample to form an ethereal,
melodic stomper that still has the club set firmly in its sights.
MTD & Dutty Dan round off the AA side with the incendiary 'Stranded'. Primed for peak time destruction, the track combines gut- punching sub tones with powerful stabs and rugged, elemental percussion, resulting in a bass-heavy sonic weapon that ensures a full
attendance on the floor time and time again.

Four deadly cuts of timeless, jackin' house and deep techno professionalism. OCH returns to his Autoreply home with a new series of split 12"s inviting a diverse group of producers to share a slab of wax. For the A Side he opens with "Deltic" which sets the mood with tough yet soulful Chicago vibes. OCH's second contribution is "Freeze-Thaw" showcasing a deep, hypnotic groove alongside powerful sub-bass, lush female vox with dreamy analogue pads that bridge the gap between artistic creativity and memorable club versatility. On the flip side it's Romanian all-rounder, The Model, who has previously graced premium labels such as Traum Schallplatten and International DJ Gigolo. From disc one's swell of deep, sumptuous re-workings of Domino classics including the Grammy Award-nominated Carl Craig remix of Junior Boys' "Like a Child" right through to the more esoteric, obscure and contemporary rebirths like Mike Simonetti's hard-to-find "Champagne Coast" remix on the second, it's a compilation that will work throughout the night and into the morning.
Now with the release of Motion Sickness, these definitive remixes have been brought together for the first time.

The unstoppable force that is Maceo Plex is back on board his own Ellum Audio imprint after his huge collaboration with Jon Da Silva took the world by storm and proved to be one of the biggest tracks of the year. Never failing to deliver, the 'Space Junk EP' is another slice of dance floor magic, Maceo Plex style.
First up 'Filthy Mama' demonstrates Maceo's undeniable talent and signature sound with seductive grooves and deep, grumbling undertones. This solid house hit is tinted with disco flare yet embodies that funky, modern and hypnotic house the producer is so well known for with on point vocals that make it stand apart. There's no question that the producer has studio masterstrokes to spare, acutely aware of what works the floor.
Over on the B-side 'Stimulation' takes a deeper and harder turn for the late night ravers. Still noticeably a Maceo track, it adopts a big room driving sound with a thumping bass followed with intricate pacey percussions. Siren haunts fall into the vortex of sonic sounds, echoing and all encompassing for that dance floor effect, with warm synths flowing through the beautiful yet eerie layers.
Not many artists have the ability to envision a fresh sound and make such a signature stamp on modern dance music. Perlon founder Zip, real name Thomas Franzmann, has compiled the latest edition of Fabric's illustrious, long-running mix series, featuring material from Vakula, Terrence Dixon and Kenny Larkin.
With all the verve and blissful energy of his DJ sets Franzmann builds his own musical universe across the mix, unmasking his mysticism at first with the revealing reverbed chants and analogue stabs of Vedomir's 'Dreams' before veering off into the awkwardly sinewy melodic structure of San Proper and Steven De Peven's collaboration, 'Pam Pam'. The poise of the way Vedomir's ethereal opener runs into the clipped drums of 'Pam Pam' sets Zip up for further of these intelligent arrangements. Using these kinds of morphing vocals as a key tool, Zip draws for them on more than one occasion on the first half of fabric 67, using them to slice through the mix, creating these weirdly beautiful moments that serve to mesmerize the listener.He's not shy of using proven dancefloor wrecking tools either, using Nail's 'Till The Feelings Gone' very early on and unapologetically hinging the mix on the 'Moodyfied Mix' of Jovonn's rare 1995 groove, 'Satisfied'. But as much as he's able to let these little moments of release fly out there wantonly, he shows that rare ability of being able to dovetail his more stomping moments with the sparse, disjointed technicality of DJ QU's 'Everybody Dark', the irk of the distorted lead line on The Sun of God remix of Armando & Steve Poindexter's 'Blackholes' or the direct drive

Even though Deniro's sound is clearly influenced by early techno records, the Grey EP is no tribute but a beautiful example of modern electronic music in true Detroit fashion. The lush, sometimes even Japanese sounding melodies make you dream of deep blue oceans and deserted beaches of far-off tropical islands. But despite of their dreamy character these tracks will definitely work every dancefloor. This is machine soul of the highest calibre.

Ann Aimee or legendary Tresor records, played by established techno djs over the globe, and playing out himself in renowned
clubs like Tresor, Fabric, Propaganda or Berghain, it has been quite an intense start for the french joke.

The only thing that keeps Detroit Swindle from actually being from Detroit is that they are born and raised in Amsterdam, a little over 6000 kilometers away. So even though they've got their 4 feet firmly positioned on Dutch soil, their heads and hearts are rooted deep into the soul of the motor city.
Detroit Swindle consists of Lars Dales and Maarten Smeets, 2 guys that, without actually growing up together, have had pratically an identical musical upbringing. A vibrant mix of Motown-soul, funk, hiphop and jazz inspired them from an early age on and after a varied exploration through techno and house, they met eachother by mutual interest in Detroit inspired deephouse.
Detroit Swindle have a clear vision on the music they produce and play. If you can't knod your head to it, it's probably not theirs and they probably won't like it. Their productions are best described as contemporary interpretations of classic soul tracks with melodical grooves, jazzy chords and bumpy basslines. So in short, if Marvin Gaye would have made house music, they would have been his biggest fans.

Northern England based Outcross Records bring you 'The Break Out' EP this November by Inland Knights backed with a remix from label heads MAM (Miguel Campbell & Matt Hughes).
Inland Knights have been heavily involved with electronic music since the early 90's, building an enviable reputation through their 'Smokescreen' free parties in that era and later starting the reputable Drop Music imprint which over the years has seen support from the likes of Luke Solomon, Phil Weeks, Laura Jones and Lee Foss, evidently showing the diverse appeal embodied in their music.
'Bounce' opens the release here and in true Inland Knights fashion storms in with a raw shuffling rhythm. A gritty, penetrating saw wave bass hook is thrown into the mix and the duo's signature hip-house vocal chops create their own melody on top of the track's sturdy foundations. The latter stages introduce hypnotizing filtered arp lines and sweeping house synths to the hub of the track, adding further melodic movement and rounding the piece off as classy, retro inspired house music with a forward thinking appeal.
Next is 'Broken Up', taking on a more stripped-back form with heavily swung drums and an acidic bass-line driving the track. The cut steadily evolves with subtle modulation creating an ever-evolving movement, before breaking things down and introducing organic bass licks, hi-pitched vocal chops and warm brass tones into the consequent stages.
Closing the release is 'Broken Up (MAM Remix), the duo drop the tempo and infuse the cut with their signature slo-mo disco drums, staccato hooky bass and tasteful filter work. MAM tracks have become instantly recognizable for their 'French House' feel and understated, less-is-more approach and here they deliver that once more dissecting the key elements of the original and remolding them elegantly.

Unlucky for some but not it seems you or us, DOT013 comes comprised of a hat trick of deep and sultry, some would say R'n'B
flavoured slow jams, made for those sexier evenings when you feel the urge to want to nod your head, wine your body and give those
hips something of a work out as opposed to just pointing haphazardly to the sky whilst hopping between legs and occasionally
pulling your best 'ooooh listen to that bass line' face. Though those evenings clearly have their place as well.
James Welsh has, it must be said, lived quite the life already, from touring with post-punk outfit The Rise, riding BMX in Texas or
remixing everyone from Britney Spears to Depeche Mode or DJ-ing around the world as part of Ocelot, a key player in that whole
blog house scene from a few years back. Basically the boy has been there and done it, he didn't even buy the t-shirt, he designed it
and then sold it back to you and your folks for a massive profit. We said it was R'n'B flavoured and R'n'B flavoured it is. The Way
sounds like James got locked in a basement with Baby Face, Brandy, Monica, Jodeci and Montell Jordan and was forced at gun
point to make a track that could be played in those sexy nightclubs that all the ghetto stars go to, where they spray Cristal over each
other then have a fight and post a twitter picture of their war wounds. Fighting and champagne spraying is optional though sexy
dutty-wine dancing is not.
If we had to classify one of these tracks as 'the peak time one' then Walk would be it, now our
mum always told us to walk before we run and we don't like classifying things too much so let's just say that if you want to make
loads of people jack, but in more of a sexy way as opposed to that frantic jerking shenanigans they used to do back in the early
nineties that was recorded on beta-max then this is the track to employ. It's low-slung and sultry, jacking house music, which means
ladies like it too.
Hold should perhaps be named Hold Tight, as in 'you'd better strap yourself in and hold on mate'. But it isn't. If you like your music
slowed down with enough low end to dislodge your undercarriage then this is the track for you. It's got some spoken word vocal on it
and some chanting that crops up from time to time but the rest just kick-drum and bass, loads of loverly, slow, elongated bass. It
sounds more like you are in the jungle than in a night club, so more Greystoke than Grey Goose.

It's the monster Paperclip People hit, remixed by Slam and pressed onto vinyl for the first time. This is a limited edition, one-sided 10" on colored vinyl, and also includes three exclusive lock grooves of theoriginal version of 'Throw' for your peaktime pleasure.

Bring U Up originally appeared on Roman's Blackmale label in 1995 as a rumbling slice of New Jersey garage complete with gospel samples and Romanthony collaborator The Trojan Horse. It was a bit of a cult favourite with underground heads like DJ Deep. It wasn't until Roman completely re-produced and re-sang the song in 2000 that it fully took on anthem status. Out went the heavy kicks and hypnotic moods and in came James Brown horn stabs and a live beat that sounded like Bernard Purdie had joined him for the session (the drums were actually provided by Roman himself). The result was an instant club hit with everyone from Pete Tong to Francois Kevorkian that reached (a very respectable 74) in the UK national charts.
On this 12' Deetron's takes the funk vibe of Roman's 2000 version and toughens it up for todays dancefloors, Lee Webster adds a monster baseline and some serious beats. On the flip-side the original Blackmale version is re-issued on vinyl for the first time as is an unreleased DJ friendly edit of the 2000 version done by Kevin McKay.

Although the productions of BILL YOUNGMAN and JOHN TEJADA are more or less the opposite of ANDERS ILARs, they have something in common, which is a tendency to the rather dark, dream-like and maybe even destructive side of music. Children of the 90s. JOHN TEJADA's remix of MYSTERY TRAIN shows once again the unique talent of this shy Carlifornian musician. TEJADA replaces the distorted beat from ILAR and creates a deep sounding track, which builds up on warm and hypnotizing beats coming along light as a feather - how good can it get BILL YOUNGMAN remains true to himself and transforms the patterns and sounds towards less softness, more edges. Bergerac releases are few and far between. Just 3 singles and one album since September 2010, all self penned by label boss Red Rack'em. Luke Solomon revisits his The Digital Kid alias late-November with the release of The Digital Kid vs The World 'A Minor Digital Experiment' on The Classic Music Company, an LP featuring all new tracks from Solomon, collaborations with Pezzner, Lil Mark and Bearweasel and a bonus mixed version. 'A Minor Digital Experiment' is the first of two Solomon albums in the next six months but is the only one which will see The Digital Kid alias applied and it serves as a parting shot for the alias, for now anyway. Debuting on Solomon's long defunct Acid imprint, The Digital Kid took a backseat as Solomon's career flourished into what it is today but the lure of binary proved too much earlier this year. 'I did this album because there was a few people I wanted to collaborate with so we got to work on some tracks.

Strut proudly presents the first definitive retrospective of one of the most influential labels and producers of Chicago house music, Cajmere and the seminal Cajual Records imprint, celebrating a huge 20 years of hard jacking classics and seminal US garage.
It started from a love of early Chicago house and as a hobby, piecing together tracks on a "sixty-buck keyboard, a cheap four-track and a cheap drum machine". Curtis A. Jones, chemical engineering student and long-time '80s video games obsessive, then left a Masters course at UC-Berkeley, returned to Chicago and unleashed his first DIY tracks in 1992 on the 'Underground Goodies' EPs for ClubHouse, setting the blueprint for his early raw, cut-up production style. Soon after forming his own label, Cajual (with the CAJ taken from his initials), he unleashed the madcap, bubbling groove 'Coffee Pot' (later re-titled as 'Percolator'), a worldwide club hit.

ICAN 009 "Impolite to Refuse" by Claude Young remade and remixed by Santiago Salazar and Esteban Adame as ICAN.

Originally released in 1996, "Impolite to Refuse" immediately inspired the future members of ICAN. It had that Detroit Techno soul with latinized bass and percussion; even before Knights of The Jaguar, Claude Young's masterpiece had won us over. Also included on this release are two new versions of "Impolite to Refuse". Esteban Adame and Santiago Salazar did their homework to recreate the strings, bass and then added their own inspired twists for the ICAN Remake. Esteban Adame slows it down to 118 bpm for a latin funk jam on his Deep Mix. Ican is proud to re-introduce this classic to a new generation.

After his resent debut on Leipzigs infamous O*RS label the 'Shmoozen EP is his first release on Pastamusik. Leon Holstein provided production support during the studio sessions.
The tracks stand out with relaxed and at the same evermore deeply moving tone.
While it sounds so effortless and easy, each of these three pieces contains a great deal of high tension that gets its audience inevitably into the mood to swing.
Dominik is on his way to provide lessons in creating lascivious beats and enchanting atmospheres which make us wait for his next emotional strikes.

After that is a special dub by Just Be, one of Matt Bushwacka!'s aliases. It takes the listener on a much more hypnotic journey. While the subtle synths and haunting vocals of the original remain, these are complemented by adding new percussive elements to the track, taking it to new sonic depths.

The last release of the year reveals a significant capture for boe in the form of Soul 223, a seasoned producer with releases on Delsin and Souljazz under his belt as well as having a significant pedigree releasing as Stasis on Peacefrog in the Ninetees. Eastern Promise is a fine balanced EP covering deep sample based jams, spacey disco grooves and sunshine laden strings. Age Of Peace is a quirky cut with loose shakers and light percussion over a slap bass and soft warm chords. It has a catchy harmony that seems to pick up energy with only subtle changes. It's topped off with some crazy synth FX lead work to round into something reminiscent of Herbert and Moodymann combined. Wide Open Spaces is well textured and deep. A gorgeously put together bassline, sweeping chords cushioned by cavernous reverb and crunchy disco beats make this a real late night groover. As an added twist the cut breaks down to finish and morphs into a hip hop skit to mix things up a bit. On the flip side, Hand In Hand is an instant Balearic classic with loose drums and a string pattern drenched in sunshine and golden sand. The strings sweep in and out as subtle voice samples add depth to the harmony. In Motion is a simple but incredible catchy rolling groover. It's relentless bongo pattern and snappy snares and kick are infections to the core as the drums roll on and the sweeping chord stabs come in. It's non-stop and psychedelic, it pulls you in with the faintest of effort and you finally come to as the track eases out into the fade leaving you wanting more. The EP finishes off with the Hand In Hand (Reprise), using the same strings as its parent cut but with more FX to make it a great DJ tool.

In swift, suitably unnatural succession to 'Hive Mind', Daniel Martin-McCormick gives birth to his second LP as Ital; the more substantial, crazed and knotty house and techno rerouting of 'Dream On'.
With his second release for Planet Mu this year, 'Dream On' is more of a full-length outing for Ital aka Daniel Martin-McCormick and a much more substantial record than the very popular and widely critically acclaimed 'Hive Mind'. On 'Dream On' Ital takes his experimentation with house and techno forms even further, creating impressionistic deconstructions from the tropes of early house and techno. Sunny chords, laid back drum shuffle and rhythmic vocal loops are picked apart and threaded with a rich psychodrama of delirious textures, tidal chords and uneasy roughness and dissonance. Having spent over 20 weeks on the road since the completion of 'Hive Mind', 'Dream On' reflects the raw energy of the live show and the touring mindset: the heady, dream-feel of house, cut with both dub's fracturing smear and an understanding of the power of distortion, honed from years working in DIY and noise. 'Despot' starts the album with a trancey bassline punctuated with off-key vocal stabs, the form of the track brutally prized apart with pitch-shifting seasick chords. It's the record's longest track, and a powerful opener. 'Boi's mix of stuttering vocal loops, aqueous chords and frantic drums is tainted with sorrow and loss. It's got a nervous energy, always feeling like it's going to topple in on itself, lapsing from ravey propulsion into nauseated hiss and back again. 'Eat Shit (Waterfalls Mix)' is broken and distressed techno in miniature, making the most of distortion and echo to create shimmer and splinters of noise over rough, murky percussion. The dark center of the album, 'Enrique', strips things back to a cavernous ambience with molasses-slow vocals and a heartbeat drum, building into pulsing tones and scratching noise pulled across the spectrum. Another miniature, 'Housecapella', is deep house smudged and deconstructed into weightlessness; it's over before it begins to drag you in. 'What a Mess' sounds like music rotting; running epic, wilting chords, soaring melodies and hysterical vocals through curdling effects. 'Deep Cut' finishes by rubbing warm, emotional deep house tones, shuffling drums and claps against harsh electric guitar-like drones. 'Dream On' takes you out of the ordinary and drops you into Ital's dislocated dance.

Marking their full debut on Real Tone, The Martinez Brothers (Chris and Steve) have concocted a lethal two-track EP full of dancefloor appeal and encompassing both new and old school house music influences. The New York-born twosome have always had a close affinity with the French label, with boss Franck Roger's penchant for NYC sounds forming the foundation of a common bond between the artists.

With their never-ending collection of machines, the pair produces a hot three-track dreamland techno-house EP in a future-classic fashion.

One Records once again stay true to their top quality ethos as they welcome back firm family member and Desolat favourite Hector, with his 'Stoned Raiders EP' - a journey into the deep and hypnotic, featuring killer remixes from the recently reunited H Foundation, young one to watch Samu.l and a digital only remix from Italian youngster Peter JD.
Originally from Guadalajara in Mexico, Hector Murillo followed his musical passions to London where he worked at the famous Phonica record store. Now living in the electronic capital of the world, Berlin, the talented DJ and producer has become one of the biggest names on the scene. After a string of releases and remixes on high profile labels such as Crosstown Rebels, Mobilee, Horizontal, Tsuba, Saved Records, Get Physical and Circus Company, Hector found his way into Loco Dice's Desolat crew. As well as being part of Desolat, Hector is a firm member of the One Records camp - holding a close friendship with both label bosses Subb-an and Adam Shelton.
For his second EP on the imprint Hector delivers 'Stoned Raiders' a dark and trippy ride into late night territory - packing plenty of groove and aimed straight at the dancefloor, with an alternative dub version rounding off the A-side.
Over on the flip, heroes of the West Coast U.S house scene and frequent names on the famous Siesta Records, Hipp-E and Halo aka H Foundation make their first appearance on the label with their remix. A heavy-duty dance floor monster, effortlessly raw with sharp kicks and industrial horns, there's no doubt this will do some damage, with it's sonic madness and trippy FX.
Birmingham's rising star Samu.l is back on the label since his huge hit 'Innocent' was released earlier in the year. His remix is deep and smooth yet powerfully driving, subtly building to kick in with dark haunting stabs in the final minutes and creating a whole new twist.
Last on remix duty is another familiar name in the One Records camp, Peter JD. He adds his classic touch, taking us on a journey into the atmospheric with ounces of warmth and the wonderfully layered synth patterns.

When that music has found its way to us through friends and people that are already part of the Classic family, in this case via JT Donaldson, Derrick and myself always stand up and take notice even more as we know there is usually a story behind it.
As a result, we are proud to welcome No Dial Tone as new members to the oddball family made up of miscreants and weirdos that is Classic. A record I immediately fell in love with due to its quirky rhythms and repeating vocal, 'About You' is a record that seemed to have Classic written all over it.

Fast forward to 2012 and it's hard to believe that KMS is still releasing records. With such a long history, what better way to celebrate than to release a special CD Boxset. The 'KMS 25th Anniversary Classics' will be released on CD, Digital (and for those vinyl collectors, there will be 6 x 12' Samplers). Each format includes a plethora of gems which have been released on KMS over the last 25 years.

The album, the full-length, the long player; an artist's showcase, a look into one's creative mind, his deepest secrets, fears, failures, and triumphs.Generally, an album serves one of two functions. The first being a club-centric compilation that feels a lot like listening to 6 EPs one after another resulting only in the reassurance that yes, this artist can still satisfy a dance floor. The second works as a genuine exposé of an artist's creativity, music knowledge, and intelligence, but most of all reminds us that there is a human behind the music; a human that understands not all Techno should be enjoyed under the shade of a Funktion One.

Polluted Records latest release comes from label engineers Lorenzo Panico and label producer Salvo Buonocore who delivers their original and creative sounds with "Pineapple Express".
Constructed with flowing percussions and processed with an addictive baseline and intelligent vocals, the record is a culturally musical project to DJ's across the globe.Over on the flip side there are 3 remixes of 'Pineapple Express.
The track is edited for remix treatment by: System of Survival, Big Brother Loves You Production (Leo Mas, Fabrice, Edo B) and W10 (Sergio Liguori). 

The remixes and the project itself has been cooking in the label kitchen for a while since the artists in the remixes have been touring and getting into exiting projects and with the closing of summer comes the release of the label program and polluted018, Pineapple Express.
This project is not to be missed as it covers a variety of styles and unique workflow on the quality of the release.
The vinyl was tested on different dance floors and radio station in and out the U.K. with much acclaimed success. The original version has been blowing off the roof of many clubs, followed by the very chunky and deep first remix version from the DC10 duo System of Survival with a slower deep beat and baseline slinging style.
A 3rd version from Leo Mas, Fabrice and Edo B has a driven groove and base line that generates that unique sound signature from the Boys in the Big Brother Loves You Productions project, somewhat around the Italian underground sound of Milan.
The last and 4th version is an electro based driven remix with a stumpy beat and baseline crafted to the sound and style of W10 Sergio Liguori.

Italian producer Joe Drive serves you his first ep for 4lux. And what an excellent EP this is. Deep house tracks with a true analogue feel. Rain Dance is an exquisite deep house bomb with smart TR707 drum programming, deep driving bassline and disco-ish vibes. Title song Junopolis is dedicated to the legendary Juno synths and shows you capabilities of these machines in clever fashion. Alden Tyrell brings you the extremely deep remix for Tefnut: steady drum programming with spaced out synth filtering and dubby tape delays. This is one for the heads for sure. Joe Drives' original is included too. Recomended!

Massive new ep from Steve Moore which hits hard straight from the get go, as the title track Panther Moderns sees Moore moving into bleaker, mid-tempo musical territories with this brutally haunting, sparse, yet, funk ridden cut. Beyond Tykens Rift is the light at the end of the tunnel with its melodic and uplifting techno/new age leanings while the b-side's Ancient Shorelines I., which opens with heavy arpeggios and a plodding kick, creates desolate landscapes of still to be discovered planets as the song's dramatic narrative unfolds.

Tripmastaz, Orlando Voorn, Dan Curtin & Marcelus on the remix duties for the ninth release of the French label. Subotic's rave tune, from his Resonate EP, gets reconstructed by the Russian house master Tripmastaz, who delivers an intense & psychedelic piano track. Dutch legend Orlando Voorn takes Art Bleek's track into his customary funky & colored raw sound, while Dan Curtin brings his minimal and jazzy touch to Cab Drivers' Clubdespot. And last but not least, KiNK's Rave Signal gets reworked in a straight and rough way by talented French producer Marcelus, who has been recently under the spotlights after his releases on Deeply Rooted House and Tresor. 300 copies pressed on marbled vinyl.

Third part of the Ehrenfels series presenting two unreleased tunes as double a-side. Limited numbered edition of 213 copies in blue marbled vinyl, followed by regular pressing in black vinyl.

Tuccillo made his 2020 debut in 2011 with the excellent 'Mathematics EP' which was one of our top sellers of the year and featured 'Password' that became bit of an underground Ibiza anthem in the hands of Luciano and at DC10.
Still based in Ibiza Tuccillo knows a thing or two about what works on the dancefoors over there, playing everywhere from Pacha to Circoloco, and since his last 2020 ep he's released for the likes of Defected and Rebirth and again hooked up with Willie Graff for releases on Freerange, Local Talk and Circus Company and remixed Osunlade and DJ Sneak.
His new EP again reflects his love for classic house, whether heads down and tracky (check Unblock, already a summer anthem for DJ Sneak), classic Balearic (Sabotage), or precision programmed deep house (Need U, Karimba).
