Suol is proudly introducing: Meggy! Having this girl become part of our Suol family is a huge deal for us. If you haven't heard of her until now, you must have been living under a rock on the far side of the moon. And if you have heard of her - and especially heard her sing, you must be as excited as we are by now. We're on the edge of our seats.
Meggy has teamed up with Chopstick & Johnjon to produce some absolute beauties for her "Hide 4 Love" EP on Suol. Her amazing, distinctive voice finally gets the stage it deserves. "Anything You Can" has already been tried and tested on the dancefloors of the world and came back with the predicates "highly valuable", "precious" and "dancefloor bombing". The title track of the EP, "Hide 4 Love" is more of a slow jam - an emotional showcase of Meggy's talent to connect with the listener on an intimate level. The B1 features Chopstick & Johnjon, and the three of them are one hell of a team! "Curious" is a late night groover - clicking percussion, a brooding, pushing bassline and ecstatic piano chords, all accompanying Meggy's vocals perfectly.
But that's not all, folks: Fritz Kalkbrenner joined Meggy in the studio between releasing his album and starting his tour. A combination that instantly works. "Better" is the knot that ties all the strings of this release together. A wonderful slow Hip-Hop jam. Fritz's love for Soul and Hip Hop is an excellent match for Meggy's groovier side that she already brought to effect on her feature with Till Von Sein, "Get Over Yourself". The tune to round off the "Hide 4 Love" EP is one that you will find yourself coming back to again and again.
And still this release is just "the tip of the iceberg" that sounds so promising already. These tracks are surely the best way to spend your time until Meggy's full debut drops on Suol.

Vape is the italotechno project of the Riviera band. Their first tracks range from the charming pop womanly appeal of "Antonello" to the pesticidal harshness of "Raid", across the gross provincial anthem "Radioactivo".

Vulcano is the joint venture of Marco Shuttle and Perseus Traxx with the Vape manufacturers at the Brenta Studios. Their poisionous bits sprayed on this 12" are the state of the art in pest control.

Newly established music connection House is OK from Frankfurt and Zagreb is raising the roof with the upcoming We Make Music Vol. 1 release. Get into the party mode with Janis, Oliver Achatz, Homeboy and The Citizen's Band this December. We Make Music opens with JANIS 'Mind Made Up'; a reminder of the early Frankfurt House sound with a scent of the Soylent Green Remixes from the late 90ties. A distorted Techno siren that evolves over a tough and jacking 909 groove and finally leads into blissful deepness. Homeboy, who got some attention with his playful Hypercolour release, brings out the edgier and deeper sound in 'Sedam'; a track based on the elements of classic House, whilst breaking the borders through its arrangement and musical form. The jazzy synth riff that locks to a hypnotic 7/4 groove is what makes this track a quality gem. Previous support on Jimpsters Freerange podcast shall suffice as evidence. The flip-side starts with Oliver Achatz' track: 'It Won't Last'. Oli, being the sentimental one in this joint, proves that House music can work with a very sensual touch. The smooth and warm use of analogue synth lines combined with suggestive vocal samples, are played over a steadily drifting rhythm. This compound, of an almost meditative nature, will provide the perfect atmosphere for early morning club hours. The Citizen's Band, one half of Arto Mwambe, closes the compilation with a remix of Janis' 'Mind Made Up". TCB shows that a track doesn't need much to get the crowd jumping and the party working, by returning the tune to its basic elements and making it a club banger for the 'heads". We Make Music Vol. 1 is only the first out of the three upcoming releases set to shake your solid house ground.

KENNETH BAGER drops this killer dance instrumental (the title track to his album due in 2013) which was a huge hit in Ibiza and with PETE TONG on the radio. Also includes KENNETH's remix of COYOTE's "EVE" and the COSMIC JAZZ DUB of "LOVE WON'T LEAVE ME ALONE" feat. JEAN LUC PONTY. Due Dec 3.

green vinyl pressing!!

Force of Nature mix cd, allows possible conclusions in both ways.
The mix of KZA and DJ Kent has an ageless spirit full of cosmic echoes that don't seem to be some in the first place. It shows the free wheeling groove of two long time friends from Tokyo that share the same musical taste and vision to exspand their consciousness.
During the last decade Force of Nature emerged as a duo that creates music under the guidance of their large vinyl collection and background as loop loving HipHop devotees. In and outside of Japan they produced and remixed artists such as DJ Shadow, Five Deez, Sly Mongoose, You the Rock and Keiichi Sokabe.

Beside making music they been and are an active part of Tokyo's DJ culture. Till today they release three full length solo albums and twocooporation longplayers with artists such as Fat Jon or Tsutchie. They alsotoured massive around Japan, Europe, and the USA to spread their musical vision all over the planet.
In the last years Force of Nature been quite interms of collective production work. KZA released a string of highly acclaimed solo records on Endless Flight while DJ Kent emerged with his own unique sound and musical style to one of the most highly respected DJs of Japan.
Now thejoined their force of nature again for a mix cd that is not concerned about what is hip and hot. Timelessness is the leader and house, disco, balearic, and cosmic vibes in a gentle way call the tune.

The mix starts slowly with a melodious folk guitar-laden dub version of the track - Lay' produced by Leeds finest audio seducer James Holroyd aka Begin. With the passage to the Lexx remix of - Field of Dream', a guitar loving balearic track originally produced by The Project Club, their mix start to highfly and gets breezy, open, and full of groove.
From then on the two fall over to the funk side of the fence and start to serve the dancefloor without forgetting that musicality comes always first! From the young but experienced British duo Seahawks to an Italo loving track by Boys From Patagonia, from Canada's finest kraut-disco seducer Eddie C to a soulful froggy DJ T remix of a track by Compuphonic from Belgium and a Larry Heard influenced acid-lover by the NotNotFun records newcomer Andy Sangria:their selection features with a to die for atmospheric touch a wide range of established acts and new cats on the scene.

But as said before: music comesfirst so names don't matter in the first place. - Expansions' reminds you on that with an irresistibly sensual groove full of silky luxuriant tones thatcarry the groove to the melody and way back. A mix that spreads a slinky grace and that is highly infectious due its deepness towards storytelling with dancemusic that goes far beyond the dancefloor.
It also tells that Force of Nature are the right fellows when it comes to party vibes that let the sun shine in while simultaneously staying a bitmurky. - Exspand your mind to understand we all must live in peace to earth. Extend your hand to help the plan of love to all mankind of earth. Expand your mind. Expand your mind' Lonnie Listen Smith once sang. If his plan is still newsworthy, then Force of Nature mixed the mix for its coeval dancefloor implementation.

Call Super is an outlet for hallucinatory club music. Swaying from the lean and muscular edges of techno, to the fractured palette of electronica and rough electro his productions share a tendency towards the live and informal. The debut Staircase EP on London imprint Five Easy Pieces found immediate support from a host of techno, house and bass heads including Ben UFO, Renaissance Man, Jackmaster, Andrew Weatherall, Braiden and Tim Goldsworthy.

Now Call Super emerges on Throne of Blood with two tracks that comprise No Episode - 'No Fun' and 'No Fool' on New York's Throne of Blood. Both tracks are then responded to, the former by Madteo, the latter by John Heckle.

'No Fun' is a grinding bass-heavy groover rooted by its warehouse techno stomp and embellished with trippy melodic flourishes. Queens-based bass producer Madteo (Hingefinger, Workshop, Morphine) takes the original and recasts it in his singularly bugged-out, broken and lo-fi style. 'No Fool' is a storming dancefloor sureshot awash in noise and menace. For his relick, UK house upstart John Heckle (Mathematics) amplifies the original's halucinogenic circularity into a swirling monster of warped arpeggios and flying cymbals.

The Fiakun label teams up with the highly talented Piek, who together with Samuel Fitch & Mianyo delivers some superb disco inflected house in the shape of 'Hemingway'... Fiakun's last release saw the Spanish label drop the excellent 'Voodoo' by Mexican producer Cesar Coronado, a record which caught the attention of Djs such as Huxley, Maceo Plex & Ralph Lawson. Now the hotly tipped imprint returns with a brand new single, this time delivered courtesy of the excellent Piek. Piek hails from the North of Spain and has over the last few years become one of the countries most promising and prolific producers dropping releases on labels such as Azari, Cray1 LabWorks, Inmotion and Paulatine, the label he manages with Uner and Baum. Now he joins forces with Mianyo and vocalist Samuel Fitch to create this standout new release for Fiakun. The A side features the original version of 'Hemingway', a richly produced, disco inflected house outing that fuses warm electronic bass, retro keys and rolling percussion to create a stunning soundbed for Fitch's soulful and intense vocals, quality stuff. The flipside sees 'Hemingway' handed over to remixes M.V.I.P. better known to the world as Mathias Vogt and Ian Pooley, who deliver a version that journeys into techier territory with its tight drum programming and old school house influences working a treat. Fiakun have delivered another superb single, further cementing there position as a label to watch...

Persnickety Sounds is here to funk-ti-fy your world!
In this era of Nü-Disco, Space Disco, Cosmic Disco, Disco House and shit, there must be a beacon of quality to light the way and lead the faithful back to a place where good grooves matter and realness is holding court.
Let the labels fall and just get it movin'

Nice analogue latin house tracks, with 'Mushroom Samba' even reminding of early Derrick May remixes... Nice!

We welcome William Kouam Djoko to the Voyage Direct family with his first release for the label.
With this new release by the The Hague native, the label continues to release Dutch only artists. William delivers some late night house goodies here. The title track is a pulsating and hypnotic track that leads with a repetitive 'We Are Your Brothers & Sisters' vocal before diving into an epic organ and drum break.

'Enforce YS' is a deeper, warmer synth track that really gets under your skin after a few listens. This is the kind of stuff that fills the heart of a hi-tech soul fan. Should appeal to early Carl Craig fans et al.

Strong label debut, which shows that Amsterdam is increasingly becoming a pool of new underground house producers.

Two fantastic disco edits: SOIREE's string laden disco cover of DIANA ROSS' "YOU KEEP ME HANGIN' ON" is on the A-side. Originally it had some spotty vocals on it but they got edited out leaving a killer disco instrumental. B/w an extended edit of "SOMETHIN' BOUT YOU" by MILLIE JACKSON.

September, back to school again. In one side one of our favourite House artists from Paris: Le Loup. "Can't Stop" is a funky and solid uptempo banger and "Cherish" pauses the bpm's blowing our mind out to another world showing how versatile can Le Loup be doing house music. On the other side one of our favourite newcomer from Holland: Junktion. "Smooth Talking" and "Lazy Grind" tracks are simply straight forward house music, hedonist and actual, but with some classic tricks that reminds us, in some way, to old legends. Comes on nice chunky 180grams vinyl only.

New mysterious imprint focussing on warm and soulfull vibes between house, techno and downbeat. Some well known producers showing their soft skills with own productions or edits / re-works they ever wanted to do.

The third release on Icon see us bring you Nico Da Funksta and the D'Vinci boys with this deep tech bassline underground remix of the up and coming band called The Scene with their first track "Don't Want No One"...watch the beautiful vocals from Tallulah on this one , i'm sure you'll agree sung to perfection and wait for the huge bass line drop and deep tech vybes as this one takes care of any serious dance floor.

In an explosion of genre-bending crossover creativity, Texas-born, Brooklyn- based William Rauscher aka Night Plane claims our very first release. Since we first met William in 2010 we've watched his production talent flourish into what we proudly present to you today in 2012, the dance-floor approved Heartbeat EP. Showcasing William's guitar-driven dreamy indie-house style with vocal contribution from longtime hometown friend Casey Gibbs, this EP covers a wide range of Night Plane's repertoire. On 'Heartbeat' William delivers gritty punk-rock break-beat house, while Casey shoots for the moon channelling his inner Mick Jagger. The result is a call-and response seduction that will makes you feel extra tough in your leather. 'Gold Soundz' pairs William up with his CCC label partner DJ Harry Bennett, for a soaring and epic cover of the 90's alternative rock band Pavement. Smiles at sunrise for this late summer anthem that reminds us of teenage angst and long lost high-school crushes. Vocal stylings are courtesy of Heather D' Angelo from the band Au Revoir Simone. We love the dialled back tempo of 'Foreign Affairs", which set William and Casey drifting along again, this time in slow motion. A guest remix from our dear friends Wolf + Lamb on Gates Of Dawn (Wolf + Lamb Remix) features Heather D' Angelo once again, rounding out this EP with big drums and a Brooklyn attitude.

Seaking's second release is a remix package of a rock group from Montreal called 'Girl'. 'Why Girl Because these four boys love girls, because they're a frequent subject in their songs and simply Girl sounds good. On the A Side, the famous Mario Basanov from Lithuania did his own vocal remake of the song 'Lips'. You can also find the label owners Ezlv remix on the B Side.

Following releases on Rush Hour and Black Catalogue Tsuba is proud to present 'Metropolitan' the debut album from The Carter Bros. Their sample-inspired long player crosses genres and styles from funk to techno via house and disco, as their own production takes lead from their crate-digging heritage in adopted Adelaide, as if reimagining The Avalanches had they chosen house music over hip-hop. Metropolitan is an exercise in self-expression from two artists whose nurturing sits a mile from the standard template, and both wears their influences proudly on their sleeves while adding their own mark across the twelve tracks. From Too Many Lovers' raw piano-led disco to Interlude Latin A's swaying samba, and The Slow Burn's rasping chords and up to date menace, it's the magpie-like approach to music that makes Metropolitan stand out from the crowd, and Carter Bros' appearance on the scene the likely start of a long stay.

After the glowing success of Seven Black 001 by Autodeep, Deepchild and Eddie C, Seven Black continue to drive forward with yet more quality.
Seven Black 002 comes in the shape of a various artists 4 track vinyl sampler. Each track bringing a completely different flavour to the table.

Number 10 in the Rio Edits series is here! This 12' steps away from the Brazillian flavour of the last few Rio Edits, taking up an American vibe. Killer release as is expected from the Rio label!
