As always, Young Turks have applied their unique approach to vinyl manufacture and have packaged the single in a sleeve with interchangeable artwork. Collaborating with ARPA design and photographer Roger Ballen. The concept behind the sleeve design was to create an object which was physically dynamic and unusual without distracting from or interfering with the music and photograph.

Next up on Leng we have a 12' from new label artist Fernando. Apart
from releasing his own music, Fernando is also part of the duo 'Silver City' and the band '2020Soundsystem' alongside Ralph Lawson, Danny Ward (Moodymanc) and Julian Sanza (Silver City).
With all instruments played by Fernando himself, 'Blue Impala' rides overa seriously heavy bass line plus synths, electric and acoustic guitar work that make this a mid tempo dance foor monster.
Ray Mang delivers yet another storming remix displaying the usual high
production skills we have come to expect from the Mang studio. Here he
beefs up the drums and adds to the instrumentation turning in another late night twisted session.

The Gomma label looks to Venezuelan Grammy winners Los Amigos Invisibles and the ever-excellent Dimitri From Paris for their latest single, a cover of the Chaz Jankel classic 'Glad to Know you' backed with a remix from Ray Mang Los Amigos Invisibles have had an all-encompassing career taking them from the streets of Caracas, Venezuela in the early nineties to the stage of the Grammy awards in 2010 via just about every corner of the globe. Along the way they hooked up with legendary DJ/Producer, Dimitri from Paris who met them through Louie Vega in New York, Dimitri went on to produce their 'Venezuela Superpop' album as well as featuring the outfit on his own recordings. Now the Los Amigos Invisibles/Dimitri pairing is back for a brand new single on Germany's leading eclectic electronic label Gomma.'Glad to Know You' was originally a big hit for funk heavyweight & Ian Dury collaborator Chaz Jankel in 1982, now Los Amigos Invisibles and Dimitri From Paris take up the reigns with a cover version that is both true to the original and unique. Heavily delayed drums, warm bass and swirling FX roll around the funk laden guitar licks, uplifting keys and infectious vocals to create an instant floorfilling classic. For those who prefer things a little less vocal, there is a superb instrumental to accompany the original.To complete the package remix duties are handed over to UK production powerhouse Ray Mang who delivers an epic, near eleven minute long dub version that has Balaeric classic written all over it, quality stuff!

Just One Touch has been a long time coming but it emerges as a classic ode to house past and present. Porto based producer Social Disco Club was sat on the track for two years before Miss Bee added her dusky vocals. Frayed and taught with emotion, her voice works in harmony with the gritty analogue sounds that drive the track.Where the original demands attention, the instrumental version shows a more subtle route to the floor. Tucked away on the b2, the absence of the full vocal allows the weighty drums and Detroit influences to come to the fore. With space to breathe the elements of the track begin to shine; restrained pads become expansive and the gurgling bass line rises to the fore. On remix duty are Parisian duo The Mekanism and Melbourne's man of the moment Francis Inferno Orchestra. The French pair weigh in with an upfront interpretation, working in some modern bounce to the feel good 90s vibe of the original.Where The Mekanism straighten out Just One Touch to create a smooth, effective DJ tool, Francis Inferno shakes things up, adding an element of chaos with his Piano Jam remix. Unhinged keys frequently break through spacey atmospherics, falling away to place emphasis on drums that beat assertively between house and techno.Under The Shade confidently cover all the bases here, with a standout original and reworkings from a pair of fast-rising young production outfits able to deconstruct the influences poured into their sources.

Here we go again! The Heels Of Love strike gold once again with their new single 'Flight 707' on Nang. It arrives accompanied by a strong brace of remixes from Jadoo, Billy Bogus, and Braking Dogs. Boom!
Kicking off the A-Side Jadoo delivers a storming effort. The vibe is nice and relaxed, and the arrangement is crisp and bold. It's a beautiful interpretation that would sit perfectly at the beginning or end of any discerning DJ's set.
To follow, Billy Bogus takes us deep into the foggy twilight world of the Italian disco club scene with his amorphic envisioning of the 'Flight 707.' There's all kinds of strange things at work here, you've just gotta hear it!

Jacob is considered to be one of the most interesting German house producers from the last years, and with records out on labels like Running Back, Dolly and of course his home base Uncanny Valley he has been fueling expectations for a long play record.
You & Me' turned out to be an amazingly fresh and versatile album, and in good old Uncanny Valley tradition, a highly collaborative affair that goes far beyond the deephouse description, making it very well fit for both home listening and dancefloors worldwide.
A track like the dark and dirty 'Heteronomous' with Uncanny Valley fellow Sneaker lines up alongside the bright and sunny anthem 'Punta Del Este' together with Belgiums San Soda. Artists like Christopher Rau or Mr Raoul K add their trademark sounds but there is always that specific approach of Jacob Korn that connects the tracks. The concept of collaboration is even expanded on the cover artwork. A team of seven graphic artists led by Johannes Timbernagel interpreted the same template of Jacobs face in their specific style. To bring them all together Johannes texturized a 3D-Model of Jacobs head with a collage of all the drawings.

Prepare yourself for "Le 61 Wurx"! Till von Sein returns with a 5 track EP that shouldn't be amiss in anyone's collection. No, literally, prepare yourself. This is a full on TVS - House/R&B blast! We know you got SUOL! On A1 we find the "Hammock Jam" that fits its name - sometimes. Sure you can always chill in the sun to Tills tunes, but this one is also for the dance floor. A typical von Sein groove and a wonderful rhodes break make this a late summer jam. "D.Welle" on A2 is a very playful tune. Arpeggiators and pads take you on a trip to wonderland. It doesn't start, it doesn't stop and somewhere
in between there is this moment to let yourself go. B1 is already the on-repeat-track for this late summer at the Suol HQ.
"Get Over Yourself" feat. Meggy shows Tills R&B influences and his love for the slow jams. Amazing vocals by "One-Take-Meggy" and the smooth playback make you wanna go back to the late 90's at the LBC.
Another R&B wonder on B2 is "Heart Of Stone" feat. Wenawedwa from Johannesburg. Even if we rarely heard this style from Till before, it feels like he never produced anything different ... right on point! On B3 Till
takes the low road with "Corniche". A deep groover for the mellow moments in life. A smooth percussive track with some beautiful weirdness.

For his second release on the label this year, Culprit welcome jozif and his 'Standard Rising' EP. These tracks were recorded when the term chill-out music was coming into being. Our record company back then thought the music too different from our well-known style, but we found it perfect for relaxing and painting. Actually we had begun painting pictures as a part of making music. But also as an excuse to get away from a music business giving us a hard time. We found this music to be healing us and giving us pleasure. Even though we got quite a positive feedback when it was the soundtrack for our painting exhibition at Galleri Projekt, Copenhagen 2001, these tracks went back on the shelf. At the time, Laid Back was working on the album 'Happy Dreamer", where 'Slow Friday' and 'Blue Lagoon' appears in different versions. Recently we listened to the music again, and, like good wine, we believe it has only got better from being stored on a shelf for 14 years before being released. We hope that you will enjoy listening to it.

Next up on the genre defiant Hell Yeah Recordings is an EP from label artist Marco Dassi, parts of which have already been getting plenty of plays from DJs like Dubfire, who included Amigdala on his recent Essential Mix for BBC Radio 1 as well as his forthcoming compilation. The man behind the music, Italian producer and DJ Marco Dassi, has long been experimenting with a wide range of styles. He's never afraid to try something new, and to date has appeared on labels like Minus, Trapez, ViVA and Traum with well received tracks That touch on melodic techno, stripped minimalism and hypnotic bass. The lead track here though, leans more toward a disco sound. Amigdala is an early night, proto-sunset house track with slow and lazy claps cut up by dazzling synths, a touch of cosmic energy and great production values from start to finish. The second original and VINYL ONLY, Swedish Love goes even slower, rising and falling and building and releasing tension with real mastery. Deft vocals lurk in the spaces between the pixelated, bright synth lines and the whole thing screams pool party! On the flip, the VINYL ONLY remix comes from Mushrooms Project - a production outfit who has already released a full length on UK label Leng as well as more material on vinyl only outlets Is It Balearic and Under The Shade.

Groove Armada drop their second single for new home, Hypercolour, this August with the 'No Ejector Seat' EP.

Raising more than a few eyebrows with the announcement that Hypercolour will be the massive dance act's new home earlier this year, Tom Findlay and Andy Cato swiftly explained why with an EP that indulged their long standing passions for the sort of raw, interesting electronic house music that the increasingly noteworthy UK label is renowned for.

The new release, 'No Ejector Seat' EP, takes in four brand new tracks from Findlay & Cato and yet again sees them joyfully immersing themselves in gritty warehouse grooves. The musicians other influences aren't far away though, with dub and disco aesthetics in particular bleeding through in particular on tracks like the epic, slow burning opener 'Activate my Heart'.

Elsewhere, raucous warehouse and early '90's sounds, albeit updated with respect and finesse, inform tracks like the jackinfused 'Always Take Me Higher' and the out-and-out mind melting aggression of 'Chicago Chicago'. 'The Vicksburg Cut'' slows the tempo a tad but does so to create a steady template that serves as a slick and entertaining walkthrough of the duo's perspective on classic house tropes. A fitting close to an EP that celebrates the wide-eyed early days of house.

Rocco's latest 'On The Rocks' EP, served up on the ever-flourishing House of Disco label, is nothing short of the perfect amorous soundtrack - four stunning reworks that will get your labido hornier than James Brown on an aphrodisiac.
First up is 'Keep On Keeping On' turning idle small talk into welcomed Whispers. Up next is 'Love Glow' which pays homage to The Pendletons' 'Waiting On You', turning this rare 7' classic into a slow jam that's ready for the long haul.
Then to really get the juices going is 'Go On And Fly', a beautiful mid-temp reincarnation of Les McCann & Eddie Harris' 'Go On And Cry', again highlighting Rocco's love for orchestral compositions. The flipside features two more in-demand dancefloor gems starting with Saada Bonaire's fantastically Balearic new-wave cut 'You Could Be More As You Are'. Originally released in Germany in 1984, it dishes up mesmerising female vocals and an ice-cool reggae-esque groove provided by legendary UK dub producer Dennis Bovell. Last up is one of the champions of mellow grooves - Leo Sunshipp's 'Give Me The Sunshine'. Quality stuff!
