Blödsinn nimmt im Kosmos von Madsen einen unschätzbar großen Platz ein. Um Menschen, die Impulse geben, die einen anstoßen, einem eine Richtung geben, wenn man strauchelt. Nicht selten ist es eine falsche Richtung, eine schmerzhafte, eine auszehrende, aber immer führt sie hier am Ende zum Menschen. Es geht um die Flucht aus der digitalen Welt, um das einfache Leben im Schweren, um das eben kurz Austrinken, bevor alles anders wird und darum, dass Küsse immer besser sind als Worte. Not to be confused with Dr. Feelgood, the UK pub-rock group, this is DOCTOR Feelgood, an unrelated American outfit specializing in moody, heavy blues-rock and obscurity. Their lone 1971 LP, which features strong psychedelic blues-rock in the spirit of early Tull, and a woodwind player clearly influenced by both Ian Anderson and free-jazz, is long out of print on LP and long sought after by serious heads. A must have for any collector of progressive blues-rock and/or private press rock.

First coming to prominence in the synth-wave scene with an elusive, meta-persona in a blur of homemade costumes, Dige's world has grown to encompass visual art, theatre and design elements. Most surprising on her long-awaited debut however is the occasional removal of the various masks and characters Dige has played to date, revealing something more tangible and fragile underneath.

An iconic and celebrated artist whose cultural standing in America remains resolute and heavily influential. Patti Smith, Jay Dee Daugherty, Lenny Kaye, Ivan Kral and Richard Sohl headed out on their first US tour to promote the release of their debut album Horses, released only two months earlier in November 1975. Their legendary appearance at Boston's Jazz Workshop displays the trademark riotous atmosphere of New York's punk ethos with Smith's habitual expletives being hurled around before WBCN could pull the plug on a live broadcast.An anticipating crowd, hungry for danger and provocation from the rising star who at one point comments I don't know if we're still on air...' Luckily she was and with continued excesses after their euphoric show closer with Van Morrison's Gloria, John Cale punctures the low ceiling of the Workshop stage with the neck of his guitar prompting the end of the shown and the end of the live broadcast.
Klondike's masterful tribute to this iconic artist's legendary and provocative performance at Boston's Jazz Workshop in January 1976 highlights an explosive period in American punk rock and one of its most inspirational and eternal heroines.

RIYL: Feelies, Dick Diver, Parquet Courts, Velvet Underground. Green Lanes' is the second album from London-based band Ultimate Painting. Formed as a loose collaboration by Jack Cooper (Mazes) & James Hoare (Veronica Falls) the project quickly turned into a full-fledged band in 2014 with the release of their s/t debut album on Trouble In Mind. That album received praise worldwide from NME, Pitchfork,Consequence of Sound & more & with Green Lanes' the band is poised for more accolades. The album is focused & cohesive, the result of two voices becoming one and each member 's songs complimenting the other, carving out a distinct & unified voice as Ultimate Painting. Slinking out of the gate, the first song Kodiak' is an hummable future-classic with Cooper & Hoare's guitars dancing around each other with ease. The licks & lyrics conjuring up images of Sixties California & Seventies New York, a picture of dark clouds on a sunny day. The rest of the album follows suit with the air y, lush harmonies of Sweet Chris' & Two From The Vault ' and even kicks up some dust with the chooglin' (I've Got The) Sanctioned Blues' and the manic 'Woken By Noises'. While their s/t debut was all Cooper & Hoare, this time out, they are augmented by the addition of their live drummer Neil Robinson who provides propulsion on all but one of Green Lanes's tracks. The album artwork was once again provided by Portland artist Bradley Kerl, who portrayed Hoare's London flat & recording space chock full of the equipment used to record both the band's albums casually tumbling toward the viewer. 2015 sees the band hitting the road again, with appearances at UK & European Festivals as well as a full US Tour in the fall in support of Green Lanes'

Monument was originally released in 1983 as a 6 track mini album. Recorded at London's Hammersmith Odeon in December 1982, the album opens with the track Monument which infact is a studio recording, originally the B side to the Hymn single.


Ultravox for many stood for a period of time at the forefront of the electronic age. Kraftwerk may have been one the pioneers but they never made it into the mainstream like Ultravox did. Along with Gary Numan the band flew the banner for electronic music in the 80's. Live they took live performance into the theatre, with complicated stage sets, Monument being a point in case, the stage sets from the Quartet album provide a stunning architectural backdrop to the proceedings.


After the simplicity of punk, the 80's provided a far more visual interpretation of the music, parallel to the songs almost, the age of video provided an additional facet to the material.

The Led Zeppelin reissue campaign continues in 2015, turning the spotlight on the double album Physical Graffiti. The deluxe edition of the group's sixth studio album will arrive 40 years to the day after the original debuted in February, 1975. The reissues of the first five Led Zeppelin albums in 2014 found both commercial successes, with multiple titles reaching Top 10 chart status in countries around the world, as well as widespread critical acclaim, including the recent Classic Rock 'Reissue Of The Year' Award. As with the previous deluxe editions, Physical Graffiti has been newly remastered by guitarist and producer Jimmy Page and is accompanied by a disc of companion audio comprising previously unreleased music related to the original release.
The companion audio disc that accompanies the deluxe edition of Physical Graffiti has seven unreleased tracks, including rough mixes of 'In My Time Of Dying' and 'Houses Of The Holy,' as well as an early mix of 'Trampled Under Foot' called 'Brandy & Coke.' All the unreleased companion tracks offer fans a chance to hear well-known songs from a different perspective, including the Sunset Sound mix of 'Boogie With Stu' and 'Driving Through Kashmir,' a rough orchestra mix of the band's eight minute opus 'Kashmir.' Also featured is 'Everybody Makes It Through,' a strikingly different early version of 'In The Light' with alternate lyrics.

Formed in 1983, when punk may not have been dead, but it was definitely very close, by two DISCHARGE members, brothers Tony "Bones" Roberts and Terry "Tezz" Roberts, BROKEN BONES rescued UK punk from oblivion. Their first single, Decapitated', was released in January 1984 and reached number 10 on the British independent charts, and the follow up single "Crucifix" was released in May of the same year, inevitably it scored just as highly as the predecessor, and proved that Broken Bones meant serious business. Originally released on the FALL OUT label in 1987, Decapitated' collects their 1984-1986 production of singles, including the aforementioned debut 7' and 'Crucifix' 7', along with the Seeing Through My Eyes!' 10' and the Never Say Die' 12'.

Recorded in 1986, and released the following year on the FALL OUT label, F.O.A.D.' is the most iconic of Broken Bones' records. Even though the band ground to a halt right after, reforming in 1989 and going strong until today, F.O.A.D' was the unheralded harbinger of all kinds of extreme metal released in the last 30 years.

By the summer of 1971 Mighty Baby had shed their psychedelic trappings and taken a more spiritual, reflective approach. Newly signed to Mike Vernon's Blue Horizon label, they prepared the material for their second and final album, A Jug Of Love, in a basement in Harley Road, North London, ahead of sessions in Sound Techniques that July and August.
This is the only known recording of them in rehearsal. Taped on Ian Whitemans' Revox with a single microphone, it's entirely instrumental ('We weren't great singers, anyway,' he wryly states), and offers a remarkable insight into the workings of one of Britain's best-loved underground labels.

The Partisans' second album - described as 'the Professionals meet the Clash' and originally out on the Cloak & Dagger label in 1984 - reached #20 on the UK indie chart. On display was the more melodic side of one of the most legendary names of the early UK punk era (The Partisans formed in South Wales in early 1978). Influenced more by the Clash and Stiff Little Fingers than their tour mates Blitz or Peter And The Test Tube Babies, 'The Time Was Not Right' is a must have in any punk rock collection!

The four piece who consist of Tom Rowlett (vocals), Ben Deboo (guitar), Jamie Harris (bass) and Chris Mardon (drums) - home grown in Hoxton before the beards and pop-up cocktail bars arrived - have spent the last few years touring consistently, honing their classic yet contemporary sound. The result is a shockingly tight live band who are heading out on a month long UK tour in November. - We Paid For Blood. is the follow up to 2013.s - Shimmer Gold. and sees them musically evolved, whilst still maintaining their raw power and melodies. The album has a much fuller sound - a mixture of The Clash, The La.s, The Replacements, The Kinks and Captain Beefheart - although they are much more than the sum of their influences. Fired up by the political situation of 2015 (both personal and public) Rowlett uses these issues lyrically and enhances the urgency of the new record.

Michel Polnareff, born in 1944 like his compatriot Antoine, also worked with translator/lyricist Herbert Pagani, co-author of several hit songs. Among the most famous songs of Polnareff, included in this LP released for the first time in 1967, we find "Love me please love me" (with an English title but sung in Italian) and "Una bambolina che fa no, no, no... ".


The LP also includes original songs sung in French, two per side: "Histoire de coeur" (History of heart), "Sous quelle étoile suis-je né"(Under what star am I born), "Ballade pour toi" (Ballad for you) and "Ne me Marchez pas sur les pieds" (Do not step on my feet).

John Cage once stepped into an anechoic chamber expecting to hear silence. Instead, he heard the low-end throb of his own blood pulsing
through his body. This is the story that gave Blood Music, the first new act on Diagonal, their name. It's an appropriate one too: Simon
Pomery, the creative lead and only ever-present member of the band, strikes his guitar with screwdrivers, mallets and his own
bare fists, frequently putting real blood into the Blood Music that spits violently from the band.

Pomery is the project's creative lead and only ever-present member. In its live 2013 guise he is joined by Jordan Cunningham, who mans
the bass and a table of DIY electronics, and Kenichi Iwasa, who hammers out taiko rhythms himself and, when he has a hand free, sets
the course for the drum machine that propels the music forwards.

For Blood Music EP though, Pomery performed everything himself. The result is a 12' of brute physical force, with guitars reminiscent
of 'Confusion Is Sex' era Sonic Youth and the 'Guitar Orchestras' of Branca and Chatham. The propeller pulse of machines recalls the
percussive drive of Marty Rev, and the drumming echoes the phasing patterns of Steve Reich, but beyond that, this music stands
alone as something distinct — something visceral, violent and, above all, uncompromising.

The record owes a huge debt to Tobin Jones at Park Studios, whose love, dedication and craft can be heard between 30 and 20K Hz.

As earlier compilations of 'Danza Meccanica' have taught us, Italy gave birth to a disproportionate number of synth-pop, new wave and electronic acts in the 80s. Mannequin goes deeper into the Italian new wave archelogical research with a killer 10 tracks selection of Carmody. Picking their name from a science fiction novel titled "Dimension of Miracles" by Robert Sheckley, Carmody were coming from Torino, as their pairs Monuments and Chromagain. Started as a duo (Alberto Ramella and Andrea Lesmo) and later a trio with Max Casacci joining in as a guitar player, Carmody recorded from 1981 to 1985 and issued three incredibly rare demo tapes. "Sleep On Mirrors" compiles the best tracks from those tapes, bringing you one of the most peculiar 80's minimal synth music coming out of Italy.

Alt-rock superstars Hüsker Dü called it a day on January
28, 1988, but the band's Bob Mould would reappear in May
1989 with his first solo album—the incredibly impassioned
and personal Workbook.

In addition to writing and producing the entire album, Mould
sang all the vocals and played many of the instruments,
sharing duties with The Golden Palominos' Anton Fier on
drums, Pere Ubu's Tony Maimone (bass) and cellist Jane
Scarpantoni from Tiny Lights. While always recognized as
an astonishing guitarist, Mould's fretwork on Workbook
traveled to levels yet unheard or imagined.

The album has since taken on iconic status, recently
celebrated with a spate of 25th Anniversary reissues. This
LP release mimics the much-sort-after 2LP Anniversary
Edition pressed on 2 LPs for sonic superiority. This edition
will also include the B-side, bonus track, All Those People
Know pressed on 180-gram heavyweight black vinyl from
the most recent digital remasters.

'Black Sheets Of Rain', Bob Mould's second solo set
followed the seminal 'Workbook', once again completely
written and produced by Mould himself. Bass and drums
are provided by Tony Maimone and Anton Fier, both
previously of Pere Ubu

Heavier, denser and more bleak than 'Workbook', the
album is perhaps more similar to the Hüsker Dü sound. No
commercial singles were issued from the album but the
catchy 'It's Too Late' was promoted to radio in the USA.

To celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the albums release in
2015, Demon Records is proud to announce this limited
edition LP reissue pressed on 180-gram heavyweight vinyl
cut from the latest digital remaster representing the first LP
remaster since release.

Death Waltz Recording Company has taken another step into the infamous genre of flesh-eating monsters in order to bring you a much-requested score from the field of Italian horror - Alexander Blonksteiner's CANNIBAL APOCALYPSE (aka APOCALYPSE DOMANI). Directed by Antonio Margheriti (YOR, HUNTER FROM THE FUTURE) and starring John Saxon (A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET), APOCALYPSE is a nightmarish vision where two Vietnam vets - Saxon and infamous horror actor John Morghen - unleash horror upon the world via a virus that makes the infected want to consume human flesh.

Scoring the film is a soundtrack as intense and crazed as the cannibals themselves, although this may not seem immediately apparent. The opening is a lovely sweeping melody with gentle piano and flute (what is it with cannibal movies and these melodies) and sets a serene and calm stage for the apocalypse to latch onto. The apocalypse itself scores a nine on the funkometer, with militaristic drums and sinister strings being overtaken by wah-wah funk and guitar noodling in a prog-rock vein. It's both melodic and dischordant, with harsh alternating synth notes combining with shimmering music box notes, and a love theme with a sax that wails more than your average teenager. If you must chow down on someone, make sure CANNIBAL APOCALYPSE is spinning on your turntable.
