Here at Seven Hills we are joining forces with our esteemed friend Bobby. over at Pleasure Club to roll out a brand new collaborative series: Seven Pleasures. We’ll be bringing you the best from both with a run of seven sinfully good releases to ignite the senses.

First up on part 1, we have Omar and Bobby in cahoots on the A side representing the Pleasure Club camp; their heavyweight offerings make dynamic synth lines and shrewdly stripped back breaks the focus. Whilst on the Seven Hills flip, we have our friend, beat conjurer and mastering artiste Thee J Johanz, with his tracks flaunting the perfect measure of carefully crafted hypnotism and harmony.

After a quarter century of nearly nonstop activity, dystopian Detroit synth-punk institution ADULT. have perfected a strain of stylistic cohesion in the album format, "but for this we wanted something that's falling apart." Becoming Undone, the 9th official full-length by cofounders Nicola Kuperus and Adam Lee Miller, explicitly succeeds in this aim, simultaneously rejecting and reflecting the planetary discord that inspired it. Begun in the latter half of 2020 against a backdrop of unprecedented flux and seismic isolation, the duo kickstarted their muse by sourcing fresh additions to the rig: a vocal loop pedal for Kuperus and Roland percussion pads for Miller. Reconnecting with legacy influences like the politicized industrial percussion of Test Department and the queasy miscreant synthetics of TG's 20 Jazz Funk Greats sparked a series of fruitfully frenetic sessions, centered on themes of impermanence and dissonance. Miller's rationale is blunt: "We weren't interested in melody or harmony since we didn't see the world having that." From the tense technoid blitz of "Undoing / Undone" to the twitchy EBM of "Fools (We Are_)" and "I Am Nothing," the sides bristle with strident acidic revolt and black leather sequential circuits, unhinged and unforgiving. Elsewhere, slower tempos of purgatorial unraveling ("Normative Sludge," "She's Nice Looking") showcase a breadth of vocal FX, Kuperus sounding alternately indignant and possessed, decrying the crimes, fears, and failings of a deluded world. Throughout, the band's chemistry crackles with revulsion and strobe-lit dissent, equal parts exorcism and denunciation. "Humans have always been pretty terrible," Kuperus explains. "But every year the compromises of culture just accelerate." Becoming Undone is also freighted with a more personal pain, as Kuperus' father passed away during the height of the pandemic, just before the album took root. As his hospice caretakers, she and Miller faced the banality of finality, surrounded by objects drained of meaning, "the joy of having a body, but also the drudgery of having one." The record's bewitching closing track, "Teeth Out Pt. II" - which happens to be the first ADULT. song in the group's history without drums - speaks to this sense of doomed corporeal mass and the looming, lightless unknown that binds us all. A seasick haze swells and subsides in slow, low waves, flickering with ring modulation, above which Kuperus sings in a dazed, brooding, transcendent state, as if having finally glimpsed beyond the pale: "Some day / some day I will be silent and free / of this relentless gravity."

Recorded in mid- 2010 and released in January 2011, this split record between Dave Smolen and hair_loss marks the formative stage of what would later become metasplice. Up to the point of this record both artists had previously released solo material and toured together under the uniting banner of Malleable Records- a short lived but strong representation of the electronic music scene in Philadelphia circa 2007 - 2009.

The record displays the artists' ability of integrating previous compositional ideas within a more rhythmic spectrum that had always been at the root of their playing styles, yet never fully realized with the strength of this record. The final track 'B' is a cut from the very first metasplice session and served as a catalyst for their consistent collaboration to the present day.

Through the years Intacto Records became a household name. The label was founded in Amsterdam in 2004 under the collaborative genius of Shinedoe and 2000 and One.It was nlaunched as a platform for the by then strongly emerging Amsterdam scene supporting a pack of local artists shaping a fresh distinctive sound which took over the electronic scene by storm. Intacto's defining sound included many styles and its catalogue is a melting pot of influences of which house and techno are the key elements. After running Intacto Records successfully for 14 years, Shinedoe and 2000 and One have joined forces on their very first collaborative release. A ten year old unreleased 2000 and One track 'World of Acid' have been played out by Shinedoe for years and received ecstatic feedback from the clubbing crowds. Convincing him to release this timeless tune to scorch the dancefloors worldwide, Shinedoe was inspired to do a remix. In return 2000 and One remixed her track 'Acidploitation' which she recently produced. 'Acidploitation' EP is the culmination of two Dutch legends, defining their brilliant take on music once again.

Andy Compton is undisputedly one of the hardest working producers in dance music. With over 40 albums and 150 EPs released either solo or as part of deep house legends The Rurals, the Bristol-based producer just can't stop creating profoundly funky and vibey music that works on loose-limbed dancefloors, beach bars and shag carpets alike.
He has appeared regularly on quality labels as diverse as Lumberjacks In Hell, Hed Kandi, LARGE and naturally, his own vital imprint Peng.

Andy's latest long player for Tangential Music is a collaboration with LA artists Irantzu Pujadas and Brad Kent under the name Blue Dream.
Aptly titled: 'A Trip To LA' the album is a deliciously louche and laidback twelve tracker of pure LA heat. The project began as many great ones do, without a plan. Visiting Brad's studio to check out his huge vintage analogue synth collection in search of new sounds for The Rurals, they got to thinking...and jamming. With Brad on the dusty old drum machines, Irantzu on the microphone and Andy in synthesiser heaven, Blue Dream was born.

Their first and equally good album 'California Dreaming' was released on Peng in early 2019 and now we are here with a second round of perfectly realised dream-like grooves. Think of the sun-facing vibes of Shuggie Otis, Eddie Chacon, Bobby Caldwell or Roy Ayers at his most relaxed and add a passionate knowledge and experienced grasp of electronic forms. They make this seem easy goddammit.

'I Wanted To See You' sounds like Khruangbin with a 303, 'You Want Me Back' with its mid-tempo shuffling groove, saucy squidge bass line and seductive soul house vocal is pure daytime at Houghton Festival happiness, like Crazy P in the hot tub.

At no point are we required to sweat. Lie down if you must, stand up and sway if you're ready. This could be lovers music or just for you alone. Irantzu's vocals throughout are whispers and purrs, evocations of humid love drenched in reverb and easy living. Sunset music.

The singles 'I Wanna Go Home' and 'Sandwich Dub' don't deviate far from the endless feeling of hazy cinematic sunshine, one a sultry plea for intimacy, the other a heavily dubbed-out slice of musique française amour.
'Trip To LA' with a vocal more than suggestive of the Balearic classic 'Sueno Latino', spare guitar chords and a prodding repetitive bass line creates a feeling of slinky bliss.

Finally, the long awaited third part of the EXTRAWELT trilogy on Cocoon Recordings is on the way, and with this advance 12 release of 'Fear Of An Extra Planet (Blackout)' and 'Hail The Whale' we are given an incredibly strong first impression of EXTRAWELT's third Album. "Fear Of An Extra Planet (Blackout)' in particular, has the potential to become a monumental club hit. The title track from the new EXTRAWELT album is, strictly speaking, more than just a maxi-version, it's almost a separate EXTRAWELT remix of the original, fully optimized for the clubs. Arne Schaffhausen and Wayan Raabe have let loose a real bass and drum monster on us. From the very first second, the doubled-up kick bursts from the bassbins to signal the journey into this new EXTRAWELT adventure is underway. The acid-heavy bassline completes the pressure-packed arrangement until the track suddenly stops dead. Sometimes it's just so simple and effective to completely hit the brakes before re-energizing and building up to full speed again. The 12 version of 'Fear Of An Extra Planet (Blackout) 'is a powerful techno bomb and for us - one of the highlights of the year! The exclusive, non-album cut 'Hail the Whale", starts off a little more subdued. However, the cool old-skool cowbell intro with light Chicago house touches soon develops an energy through a driving electro bassline that shakes us from the initial calm. Although 'Hail the Whale' doesn't appear on the album, it perfectly represents the science fiction sound aesthetics on EXTRAWELT's new LP. Sci-fi FX, distorted vocals and dramatic synth lines envelop us in an extremely intense soundtrack atmosphere. From warp speed space travel to misty wastelands on strange planets and breathtaking pursuit scenes, 'Hail the Whale' conjures up all manner of images as it hammers from the speakers. Jauzas The Shining (Shipwrec, Last Known Trajectory) returns to New Flesh Records, this time accompanied by his compatriot Eliot Forin aka Foreign Sequence (D.KO Records, Concrete Collage). The unexpected duo delivers four unreleased killer cuts of high caliber for your own pleasure. Very Sci-Fi-esque "Talking Machines" takes place in a dystopian future and brings together a collection of powerful electro tracks incorporating elements of rawness, acidity, and melancholy at the focus of this intent.

In overture of the A-side, gloomy "Death By Fuzz" offers an epic collaboration between the two artists: the song fully illustrates the analog brilliance and dancefloor dazzling that they are able to. This heading jam picks things up with solid metallic drums while punishing percussions lift the track even higher until the end. Brainwashing "Painful Headaches" instantly following sees Foreign Sequence in a brilliant solo exercise where he unleashes the acid whereas a solid rhythm leads you to the dancefloor for some robotic and insane movements!

Side B opens with eponymous track "Talkin' Machines", a pulsating journey into processors and computer drivers from the French pair. Characterized by unhealthy melodies, pounding beats and cyborg noises, the cut merges fascinating sequences and dark atmospheres. With its astral pads, Jauzas The Shining's final song "Colombia" takes you on a cosmic trip, traveling at light speed through time and space thanks to mighty distorted FX. A rough ride, deep and intricate to destination unknown, the perfect future funk soundtrack for an no return exploration.

After a ten EPs in few years on respected labels such as Clergy, ARTS, Mord and an acclaimed debut album on Skryptöm, young and promising techno producer Kmyle is back on the French label Astropolis Records with ‘Keroual EP’, 3 originals and a stunning remix from French veteran Zadig. A contemporary EP that embodies all Kmyle’s technical and elegant techno, energy and his singular melodic synth work. First up, A1 with the eponym track ‘Keroual’, in reference to Astropolis’ setting, a beautiful trip to its fairyland and a large electronic universe, with emotive melodies and light chords. An enchanting meditative and dancing track, as well-suited for the dancefloor as it is for home listening. Samy steps the tempo up on A2 with ‘Telegraph’ and falls into darkness, undulating slowly in an evil dance, with a tense melody, a rumble bassline and a hypnotic techno. A metallic tune that works on every dancefloor. On the flip side, ‘Syncopa’ keeping the drive from A2, seems tailored for a huge night with a forceful kick and a booming energy on its introduction, rapidly caught by a dramatic, intense and sizzling melody, enigmatic atmospheres and euphoric chords. A big tune for a big floor with a hammering beat and a delicious dark groove. French well respected producer Zadig ends the EP with a brutal and gloomy version of ‘Keroual’, under a « Day is Dying remix », a wink to his hardcore project. Uncompromising and raw, quite cinematic at the beginning, slow-burning to madness. A pleasant chaos anthem dedicated to industrial atmospheres. Swiss artist Morphing Territories returns to his self-titled label with four tracks of laser-cut techno precision. He channels tension and energy into the Paper Brain EP, letting some sounds breathe with unpredictable life and nailing others to the floor with booming 909s or rolling basslines. Hypnotic techno doesn't get much trippier.

Progetto Tribale was born in 1992. The A1 track: "Behavior", immediately reached great success in clubs. The project has continued for two more productions with UMM, to then change label and go on with D: Vision, until 1996, year of publication of the last production, volume 6. Today, 24 years later, Volume 7 was finally born under the partnership of Donato Dozzy, Pietro and Paolo Micioni. and released by Danza Tribale.

Uit De Hoogte challenged himself to make 100 tracks in 10 genres in 10 weeks time during the winter of 2020. A selection of these intuitive hardware jams were then pressed on a limited 100 copies of vinyl.

The Panorama Bar mix series strikes back for its 7th installment with club veteran and psych- house maestro Andreas Baumecker aka nd_baumecker. A Berlin and Panorama Bar resident
since 2004, Baumecker's sets have long been known to heads as a foundational part of the club's identity: deep, unpredictable, funky, bassline-heavy, melodic, and seamless flowing
between different rhythms and key-changes. As a producer, Baumecker's studio focus (with Sam Barker in Barker & Baumecker) sits comfortably between pop, dancefloor and
spiraling left field electronics; on top of two LPs and numerous EPs on Ostgut Ton, the duo have also remixed the likes of Vessels and shoegazers Ride. But Baumecker honed his
musical sensibility not only through DJing and studio work, but also as a buyer for famed Frankfurt record store Delirium (founded by Ata and the late Heiko M/S/O), as well as an
in-house booking agent for Berghain / Panorama Bar. This composite identity as a selector, collector, club curator and musician feeds heavily into the diversity of Baumecker's
120-minute vinyl-only mix - including the six exclusive tracks over two 12's. FaltyDL kicks off Panorama Bar 07 Part I with the appropriately titled 'Paradox Garage Part 1
(With Your Love)', blending US garage, breakbeats and chopped vocals. The alternative
rhythms continue with Jinje´ (of Vessels fame) slowly building machine-funk anthem
'Big Skies', while the B-side is reserved for Gen Ludd's dreamy, shutter-opener 'Bloods
Avalanche'. As the exclusive tracks imply: ndbaumecker's Panorama Bar 07 mix hedges no

Al Wootton drops a collection of stripped back two-stepping rhythms to form the 'Snake Dance' EP for Livity Sound.

At times uncompromising and austere, the swing of Al Wootton's reduced grooves, saturated with a steely dubwise brawn, provide an enduring soundtrack for stark times.

Livity Sound is a label set up by Peverelist in 2011 as a vehicle for a raw and exploratory strain of UK techno, rooted in the heritage of UK dance music and sound system culture. It has since become one of the UK's foremost protagonists for cutting edge underground music.

Deathchant LP10 anthem that been never repressed is avaible again with 3 gambling remixes (Hellfish album from 2014 was it 2014 already ?) Mark Henning returns to Soma with yet more jacked up machine funk in Titan. Mark has firmly established him self within the Soma mainstays and continues to further his sound on the label. This latest EP sees him take to the street with two energetic drum workouts laden with his unique flavour.

Title track Titan is very typical Henning, keeping the ingredients simple yet effect and created live. A solid groove from his trusty 909 that just oozes dance floor compatibility hooked up with a quirky synth stab, weird vocals and a eerie organ-like riff all rounded off with a fantastic arrangement makes for one seriously infectious track

Roots gives of a real ghetto-tech feel, as once again a 909 groove is enough to get things going while squelchy synth hits bounce of rimshots working up to a subtle rolling bass line. Mark's skill in the arrangement process take hold as he allows the tracks to develop into a full drum workout with mutes here and there and the simple addition of more stuttering percussion help to pick up the pace.

Henning as the enviable talent of being able to create dance floor burners with the simplest of elements, a task he delivers of with blinding result on this EP.

Reissue of the 1994 debut from Phil Western and Dan Handrabur's 'Off & Gone' project. A hallucinating document of the pair's initial jam sessions and what would become the genesis of a fruitful collaboration between two key members of the West Coast electronic music scene of the 90s/00s. Four tracks of deep, psychedelic techno, including the now-classic 'Namlohssa'. Re-mastered from the original DAT tapes.

From Dan Handrabur Dreamdoktor, Shukar Collective & 1/2 of Off & Gone:
I met the late Phil Western in the fall of 1992 on a visit to his record store, Oddysey Imports. There was always good music playing there, so I ended up hanging out for many hours, almost every day.

It was very clear we had similar taste in music, be it the new electronic wave at the time or older music like Eighties British guitar pop, and vintage rock, not to mention ambient and world beats.
A mutual friend, Robert Shea Map Music/ Discotext, suggested we get together and jam; there was a trend going on to bring one's favorite synth to a buddy's studio and tweak knobs.

We ended up making a couple of tracks which we showed Robert, a man with many connections in the new music business, by that I mean independent, forward-thinking labels from around the globe. His reaction encouraged us to release them. At the time, I was working on making a CD of my own music and tracks I had made with other tech- heads. Somehow the two cuts fitted quite well into the vibe of Outersanctum's "Frequencies From The Edge Of The Tektonic Plate" which we released in April of 1993.

Sensing the possibility of a collaboration, we decided to move my equipment to Phil's place he lived in a more permissive part of Vancouver where it was ok to work at a louder level.

Armed with two Atari 1040st with midi and various synths, samplers, and drum machines, we started crafting what was to become our most important body of work of the mid-nineties, Off and Gone, Floatpoint and others. After a visit to Lopez island where Mike Kandel 1/2 of Exist Dance had his studio, the three of us decided on the name Off and Gone and set a release date for our first EP. Needless to say, we were ecstatic about it since we were both very fond of the music Exist Dance was releasing.

This was the incentive we needed and also a psychological push to work on more material. Our sessions were lengthy; there was not much talking and a lot of playing. Programming in Notator (now Logic Audio) was tedious but rewarding; mixes were tracked to DAT tape. Some gear without memory had to stay on for days until we were satisfied with the mixes. Occasional overheating and power outages were our biggest enemies and guests to the studio who carelessly pushed keys on synths, thus ruining arpeggios...
We never used limiting or compression. We didn't own any of that gear, relying solely on the power of our sound generating devices. No audio editing was available back then, at least not to us. A few times, we snuck into Skinny Puppy's studio to play with their Pro Tools rig and track guitars and violin through the Eventide, which we resampled and used in tracks.

At the time, we had the feeling of doing something important for the Vancouver electronic music scene, inspiring other musicians to build studios and strive to create new, interesting music, away from the industrial sound that defined the city for several years, for which we had the utmost respect.

All the music we made together was purely for the joy of sound creation and a sincere love of dance and ambient music; without any desire for affirmation or commercial success. Throughout our relatively short but productive collaboration, there was a feeling of completing each other's ideas very easily, without arguments, in an almost telepathic way, something I personally have never experienced again with another musician.

In 2006 the now defunct BaseLogic label released the first in a triad of EP's entitled 'Fixxy', produced by the enigmatic British artist Ed Chamberlain. These EPs left many electronic music lovers scratching their heads, having heard something genuinely different. It represented a new generation of IDM reminiscent of The Black Dog or Plaid, melancholic electro with a meticulous nuanced palate that immediately transformed Chamberlain into a revered figure. Fifteen years on Lapsus Records, as part of its 'Perennial' series, will release Ed Chamberlain’s superlative productions across 2 x 12", entitled '03/06'. The lavish 12” double pack will feature a sizeable part of the ‘Fixxy’ material, along with additional tracks created during the same period of time, 2003 – 2006, including 'Zarathustra' and 'Does Ape' -the latter released on vinyl in 2008 by Madrid label Semantica-. For this special release all tracks have been re-mastered and will be pressed and packaged in a deluxe edition format.

Nigh/Tmare's most recent EP, entitled 'Hypnagogia' on Thrènes Records, is the perfect example of the artist's uncompromising attitude. The integral work on this project is the perfect sublimation of experimental overtones, rugged beats, and techno punch, making for a candid, outstanding, and diverse approach with a lot of edge.

The opening track, 'Inside Me', perfectly encapsulates the dark, melancholic atmosphere and the robust dynamism we find throughout the EP. Operating a more technoid and ethereal approach on 'Without Believing', Nigh/Tmare successfully communicates his urge to express his dystopian feelings of loneliness and despair. The journey continues with "Deflagration of Hell", which comes as a daring lamentation from deep inside the darkness. Killawatt's rework on this one heads off a bit of the original and discharges its emotional intensity by offering a new audaciously powerful dynamic. Finally, 'Despite Everything' keeps the perfectly balanced feel of the EP; it offers a subtle touch of dreaming and a hidden optimism. The digital edition includes an exclusive track and a longer version of Killawatt's interpretation.

Set for release in both physical and digital formats on October 12th, Hypnagogia EP marks Nigh/Tmare's first EP for Swiss-based record company Thrènes (which takes its name from the Greek word for funeral lament) and are a label dedicated to the release of tenebrous electronica and techno.

We are delighted to share you that Taupe releases on Deeptrax' Tech-um label. After releasing on Indigo Aera's AE-X and Impress records in Berlin, Taupe launched his own recordlabel: Colours Records. On 'Two sides of the same coin' EP, Taupe displays his dualistic take on the techno genre, celebrating both its beauty and ruggedness. With the Detroitish opener 'Altum', Taupe guides the listener into a blissful rabbit hole, filled with dreamlike-arpeggiators and pounding rhythms, bringing ultimo sci-fi sounds from far away. 'Shimmer' brings subtle acidic squelches, crisp hats and modulating synths paving the way into destination unknown. On the B-side, Taupe takes a sudden left into more dark terrain. The LuLúxpo founded Paradise Children Records label in 2017. Considered as the most glamorous / trash DJ couple of the European club scene for almost 20 years, Loulou and Pollux aka the LuLúxpo named the label as a tribute to Prévert and Carné. It was a big accomplishment for both of them. The Argentinian diva and the crooner from Paris felt the need to give substance to their musical and aesthetic vision, which they built throughout the years through their productions, sets, parties and radio show ('Let's Dance' on Couleur 3, then on Radio Meuh). Stilettos and a perfecto jacket, pink hair and black glasses, an electro background, one foot in rock' n' roll and the other in disco but most of all, what a night should be: groovy, loving, crazy and fun. The shady couple was based in Geneva for a long time until they moved permanently to Barcelona, where they built this naive and uncompromising utopia. Love,pleasure and honesty are the pillars of this utopia, but they also wanted to meet people through their label and this EP is a perfect example as it celebrates the young Swiss scene vs very experienced European remixers.

BRVTAL has started in 2018 and after several gigs and episodes of the podcasts series at last we arrived to kick off our dream project: the music label!

There was no question who would be on our first release, because we have been following their music since the beginning and we had a banger nights and great times with both of them at LARM and in Budapest. These awesome producers to whom we thank BVR001 are Niki Istrefi and Draugr!

Niki Istrefi is a rare precious star in the Danish techno scene, everyone can recognize his music in the first minute, this mindfulness, fast, harsh and tight sound with the essential melodies of melancholia. Niki is pretty determinant in BRVTAL's life, because we noticed him since his first release and it was obvious that we invited him to our first LARM's event!

Worldspawn gives the first push on his side of the vinyl. This catatonic sound is the enter to the darkness, what we can accept from the whole release. Blood Run is another step, much faster, much harder with an iconic spooky melody that will haunt us through our nightmares.

But we don't have to be afraid of Draugr either, he isn't joking at all. He became one of the unavoidable figures of Parisian techno over the years. It wasn't a surprise how he totally bombed the LARM to the delight of us and our audience in 2019. We fell in love for the first time when we heard XB71. This track is the real taste of Draugr's music, the uncompromising, tough sound with cruel hammering and flooding energy like an atomic bomb. Lastly we get to the final track of the vinyl that is dedicated to us, so the title is Brvtal. It's a great honor for us that this more galloping banger with killer dark melodies has the same name like our label and event series!

Hessle Audio are excited to announce the release of the self-titled debut album by Pearson Sound, aka label co-head David Kennedy. Characteristically minimalist in approach, its nine tracks use a handful of elements to craft mesmerising, self-contained worlds, alive with motion and near-subliminal detail: from vast and inky landscapes, to electrifying rhythm tracks, where layers of percussion and bass tumble over one another like rocks in a landslide. Recorded between 2013-4, Pearson Sound documents a distinct phase of Kennedy's studio explorations. "I had a signal chain set up that I was really happy with, and I started sending my machines through the same processes" he says. Expanding upon the techniques underpinning his recent REM and Starburst 12"s, its tracks emerged swiftly through improvised jam sessions, some were captured in a minimum of takes, while others later took shape through extensive sculpting and post-processing. "A lot of it was made by feeding the the same sounds between two different pieces of equipment and they'd end up feeding back between each other and snowballing. On some tracks it's about harnessing that and taking it to the brink before it disintegrates, and some of them are about just letting it go full-blown out of control." The result is a record of striking contrasts: bold, stark and visceral, yet also subtle, harmonically complex and deceptively playful. While Pearson Sound's livewire percussive energy remains inextricably rooted in the club, this exploratory studio process has created Kennedy's most wide-ranging yet coherent body of work to date: a suite of thrillingly impulsive, expressive and open-ended music, untethered from restrictions of form.

Originally released in 2014, Nid & Sancy's fourth album 'The Cut Up Jeans Technique', is a patchwork of interwoven sound design, manic synths, and crazy samples. The couple make heavy use of cut-up vocals that are reinterpreted as synth sounds and vice versa. It's this ambiguity that draws the listener into what can only be described as a visceral spiral of warped electronics for the new age.

Clocking in just under 30 minutes, early support came from 2 many Dj's who included single 'Skinny Fit' into their 'Under The Covers' tour and video which traveled the world.

Visual Art and Music have historically shared an important, entwined relationship; often posing questions of which provoked which in a project? What about when the imagery is a medieval surrealist, hyper coloured XTC wonderland? Genre-blurred and stirred, daring and dynamic dance music for the twistedly imaginative minds and bodies! The Tapestry of Sound is an audio tribute to the liquid lockdown Tapestry of 2020, a wall-size mixed media art piece originally intended for a live-stream backdrop; despite not being completed in time, it became the epicentre of communal creative junction & release - no limits or logical sense. The result, a sonic terrarium cultivated by longtime partners in crime D. Tiffany and Roza Terenzi; with the help of friends, weaving their sapphic magic into something wicked and new for STEP02, Tapestry of Sound.

A maypole is a tall wooden pole often erected as part of late 19th century European Midsummer folk festivals, around which a dance often takes place; coinciding with Summer Solstice, or in Corona-era... Scrollstice. The A-side presents two contrasting offerings of the Maypole Theme, opening with the Surrealist Piano Roll Mix; an effortless euphoria gliding and twirling amidst a rolling 2-step garage routine, playfully anticipating melodic ecstasy via black and white keys. A complementary contrast offered by the Looming Giant Mix; sleek and deep. A hot-femme fiasco, driving and deviating between 4/4 and a freaky broken plot-twist; evoking imagery of the night, skipping fiercely round the pole; which was often considered a symbol of the union between masculine and feminine energy.

Wasp Of A Woman initiates the B side blowout, stripped back and sensual, but don’t be fooled; this is a straight-up b0mb. Low end throbbing underneath ferociously swung drums, topped by microphone assassin Kaylin with the fire lyrical content, a true upcycle of genres to set the mood for a flammable dancefloor. Cooling off, only slightly for a cigarette break, is Inhale, Exhale the final track from the EP. The tempo finally settling down but bumping up the groove with thumping toms guiding a playful party-starter, rhythmic and melodically inspired; infectiously cheeky with subliminal naughty memos teasing their way in through the backdoor.
