Following up to his debut mini-album “Antennen” issued last year on Noorden, fellow Cologne-based producer Panta Rex returns to the label with “Lefty”, his sophomore three-track delivery which finds him scoping out the confines between photophobic modular techno, subsheavy traction and AI-operated melodicism.

True to the intricate engineering of his first compositions, Panta Rex expands his sonic logos to even broader horizons of -altered- functionality. Most definitely a piece of club-oriented abstr-activism though offering vaster sequences and audio expanses to perambulate your mind within, “Lefty” is a mille-feuille of textural ambiguities, secret rooms and corridors – piecing together galloping dynamics with bleepy opaqueness as it leaves your mind out of focus all the way through to a steely, slo-burning yet highly choreographic finale.

Veering off to a more aqueous, dubby state of mind, B1 “Swerve” draws the loud, muffled kicks and FX-drenched synth stabs for a much immersive ride in the deep, shrouded in organic envelopes and overlapping layers of intriguing sonic minutiae. Closing cut “Dizz” wraps it up on a more breaksy note with its contrasted ballet of wistful strings, sliced-and-diced drumwork and dissonant chimes opening us to a heightened, 90s-informed apex of sorts, where Panta Rex’s subtle touch and widescreen vision bloom all the more unreservedly.

Rhythm has been used for millennia to locate the deepest parts of the soul & to re/connect spirits - this is true also in the modern age. Certain feelings cannot be expressed via digital text-communications nor with words alone; Music is the answer. Connection through disconnection.

Steven Rutter, one half of B12, returns to De:tuned with a staggering ode to the 90s UK bleep techno era. Opener "O.L.F. ResPekt" sets the bar with a respectful flashback to the trademark sound. "Rewind 273" follows the path with a pitched down composition that strengthens the rather mellow and floaty vibe. On the flip "Incredible" combines the best of both worlds, a real gem for all bleep and bass fiends in signature B12 style.

Kevin Foakes (Openmind, DJ Food, Ninja Tune) created all the graphic work. Mastered by Matt Colton at Metropolis and pressed on 180 gr vinyl. A separate digital release will also be available at the usual digital shops. Stay tuned!

VII Circle returns to his Destroy To Rebuild imprint this March with two fierce techno tracks alongside Mickey Nox and Fractions remixes.

Following 2020's "Fearless EP", which saw support from the likes of Rebekah, Regal, and Randomer, VII Circle returns to his own Destroy To Rebuild imprint with two blistering originals and a pair of remixes from Green Fetish's Mickey Nox and Russian duo Fractions.

Title track "Warriors" gets straight to the point with a heavy-duty synth snaking its way through the track, as a series of relentless drums and sharp production combine to form a pure sonic assault. "Mayhem" takes a darker turn, conjuring images of dark, sweat-filled rooms, taking influences from intense club experiences.

For Mickey Nox's take on "Warriors", the Melbourne based producer strips the track to the bone, turning his focus to bone-crushing drum shaping, reducing the lead synth of the original to a sparsely used element, deployed to maximum effect.

Drawing from their experience on Rotterdam Electronix and Dax J's Monnom Black VA, Fractions turns "Mayhem" into an upfront banger. By adding rave-infused stabs and the occasional breakbeat to the mixture, the duo brings a fresh take on the original, with a euphoric breakdown thrown in for a brief respite before the pandemonium resumes.

Years of Denial and Veyl enlist Silent Servant, Broken English Club, Orphx and Alexey Volkov to remix their 2019 album ‘Suicide Disco.’ Heart attack music at its finest.

Emmanuel s 'Rave Culture' is a record that pushes the boundaries of techno to another level. 'Rave Culture' is his first full-length on the label bringing 2x12" round of wax. Ten cuts that are committed to fill a space in the rave scene that no one else has done in terms of Power, Experimentation, work of Soul and most of all showing respect for the old-school way of doing things. This LP is his largest achievement yet and aims to showcase who he is.

Emmanuel directs the listener to unknown territory keeping them very concentrated on a Rave scenario,but also giving them different reasons to think, act & explode - all with the right balance. Deadly floor massacre weapons and well crafted heavy bass works elevate to a modern way of thinking as well as challenging the dancer to think forward and get inspired.

Tense, at times eerie Sci Fi Electro from Melbourne's Tx on his Debut EP. Being fascinated with the exploration of space and new landscapes, he dedicates the second Save The Books release to the Cassini research mission around Saturn and her moons. Unsuccessful scans for life, the final descent of the probe and an imagined journey through the warm salt water sea under the ice surface of the moon Enceladus are the themes of the three tunes and we can feel it. We are back on wax again with a very special release. It means a great pleasure for us to have one of the pivotal figures of the Madrid underground techno scene on board, Herr Unkle Fon.

Some years ago, Madrid clubscene was formed by conventional clubs in conventional locations with conventional opening and closing times and usually, conventional programming. Manuel Cano then founded Utopía Secret Society and things changed forever for the city’s underground nightlife.

Now as you may have noticed there is no club scene at all, neither conventional nor illegal, sign of the times.

Musically speaking, Manuel started as a guitarist and soon evolved into studio engineer, label owner, club promoter, record shop owner (Ater Cosmo), social agitator… and adventurous character that reflects in his productions all his knowledge of the dancefloor.

Jisatsu is a slow paced broken beat surrounded with smooth textures, soon joined by a repetitive synth line that adds the hypnotic component.

Genroku Ako follows with a cosmic approach, continuous percussive and synthetic lines run together on a fast BPM exercise obsessive, linear and mental.

On the flip side, 47 Ronin uses dreamy stabs over a relentless groove mixing liquidity with tension.

Closing the release Shuppatsu is an almost beatless exercise, just with 909 rimshots, toms and snares spiced with ethereal components

A timeless futuristic release that can wait on your record bag until things go in better directions.

The X CLUB. beasts have busted out of Brisbane, Australia with Steel City Dance Discs Volume 22.

Buckle in as the renegades, known individually as DJ Speed/Jesse Patrick and NORA DRUM, take us on a manic hoon through electro, rave and jungle-informed techno.

Although this is only their first vinyl offence, their criminal record is a hefty one. The delinquents are charged with lawless breaks, aggravated synth chaos, verbal sample assault and series of twisted bass infringements.

Benjamin Damage reports back for a fresh slice of his singular strain of modern-day Techno.
Alpha Centauri institutes the record atmospherically, setting up the scenery of ethereal winds, prowling basses, and muscular drums. Picking up the pace, Circle Machine is a busy tune, rigidly rattling towards an array of tripped-out synths, yet captivating with their off-key harmonics.
Heavier but equally distinctive, Damage opens the B-side with his skillful blend of assaulting, rough-edged machine sounds, and soothing, celestial ambiance. He then twists around again, cleverly seeing us out with a surprisingly lively arrangement of sneaky synth squelches, making for a well-rounded as accomplished EP-package.

“Blank Mind founder Sam Purcell returns to Blank Mind following a production mix for Blowing Up the Workshop and SMX collaborations.

'Studio Pads' thumps through at a bossy 117bpm, a sound system march that takes cues from early Chicago house as much as contemporary UK bass. Built on a gnarly two-note main riff, peppered with horn blares, it's minimal and primed for strutting and skanking.

On the B-side, 'Murmur' provides a sweet, pastoral contrast, the warmth of sun on skin. Dropping the tempo, birdsong recordings play back sidechained to a sub bass groove, Detroit chords refract through tight delays, and everything is kept in the pocket by syncopated hi-hats.”

Satin is the first solo EP from Lack, the alias of Manchester based artist Charlie Foy - having previously featured on various twelves for the Cong Burn collective. Recorded between 2016 and 2019, these tracks were started during long train journeys, before being finished in the studio. More introspective than previous material, these tracks offer a unique insight into the window of serenity that comes from movement and being in-between places.

These exceptionally balanced and well-crafted compositions use production techniques that explore the relationship between the natural and synthetic, using transients from field recordings to trigger machines, as well as granular synthesis and resampling techniques that further blur this distinction. Equally suited to listening at home or in a club context, these tracks reward deep listening and continually reveal details with each listen.

Sin Hilo goes back to vinyl and electro in its ninth reference signed by White Solar Dog. Vinyl and electro are both in our DNA since the beginning of the label and we were willing to release them again. To start this new year 2021, Sin Hilo delivers the debut of a new alias that has a promising year to come. White Solar Dog is Computah!’s new project. He’s been into electronic music since 1996, and active as Computah! since 2002. With more than two decades of analogical exploration and collecting records, Computah! has played in practically all clubs in Barcelona, and he has also presented along with Vj Render sophisticated audiovisual live experiences.

For all these reasons, Sin Hilo was expecting White Solar Dog’s debut, and we’re more than satisfied with being the label selected to make it happen. In addition, the release culminates with three international remixers that contribute with even more electro tones: MOY, Paul Blackford and Voiron are the three artists in charge of completing the nine tracks of the record with their wise and lucid tracks.

From the sensuality of Love Is The Message to the deepness and tension of Through All Dimensions, each White Solar Dog’s track is a unique piece in its genre, with a complex and elaborated structure that shows how the artist is a huge electro connoisseur in all its spectrums and variations.

DJ Dem’s new 12”, called I Videre, translates into I See in English. Continuing the sonic explorations of timbre and rhythm, the three tracks that comprise the new EP are an envisioning mix of the artificial and the natural acoustic environment. Streets, ambulances, laughter, air; hints of Berlin techno intertwined with the cymbals of an acoustic drums set and Berlin itself; synthetic and human voices creating mazy soundscapes. A blend of house tempos, techno’s futuristic take on sound synthesis, ambientesque stillness/movement and musique concrète’s intertemporal idea of montage music. Rather than going for the usual tropes of dance music’s canon, the music on the EP folds and unfolds on an axis of her own, giving DJs a multi-purpose sonic twister.

After his last years 'Birds Over Hong Kong EP' Insect O. takes us on a musical journey to Down Under this time.The title track 'Bondi Dub' offers a smooth groove laying in an ocean of delayed chords. An acid line gives this11 minutes piece of music the final touch. You can dance with your feeds in the sand or just sit on the beach and watch the sunset. Is this surf techno Yes, maybe. With 'Rokk Hampton' the b-side starts more powerful and brings you a straight techno beat with filtered synth chords. It shows a more energetic and oldschoolish side of Insect O.'s work in a morden form. The last track 'Sands Of Rainbow' sounds like the colored sands of Rainbow Beach. Melodies are stabled with echoes and a deep groove to a coloful sound structure. Nic Arizona’s transmission from Lockdown 1 in April 2020 is arriving in giant steps in the form of his debut solo album - Shavua Tov, to be released on MT later in 2021.
Floating the Flood is the first single of that album. It has been stretched and fitted for your imaginary (or actual?) dance floors as a 12” banger version, and is equipped on the b-side with a remix by his long time friend, and a huge label inspiration here in MTHQ - Lena Willikens.
We dream of hearing this LOUD.
In the meantime we fighting the good fight, on that spectrum between Hope & Despair.

Jim Coles once again turns the tide towards a new horizon and travels further into the echo chamber. Leading on from the much-lauded ‘Secret Location’ mini-album with Seekersinternational, one-offs such as ‘Open Palms dub’ (Dub Stuy) and other teasings, ‘Acid Dub Studies’ is the fully-fledged result of the merging of the calligraphic expression of the 303 Acid bassline with the stern sway of Dub Reggae and the hazier edges of Dub Techno and Ambient music.

Following on from 2018’s acclaimed ‘Actualisation’, ‘The Deep End’ builds upon the acid house influences of the former but ventures into many new paths. Hip hop, techno, drum ‘n’ bass and other ‘genres’ sneak into the creative palette whilst also staying true to the band mantra of throwing the rule book out of the window, as far as ‘genres’ or ‘boundaries’ are concerned.

The album was penned over the Spring of 2019 by Mark Emmerson (vocals/guitar/synths). Again, Roland 303/808 synths, bass and vocals were key tools for writing, whilst the Roland SH01a found its way onto the team sheet, as well as a sampler for the first time.
Recording commenced in March 2019, the ethos being rehearsing and recording a track as soon as it was written with mixing taking place on each track shortly after. By July 2019 85% of the album was completed, the final track laid down in January 2020.
 
The album was again recorded at Whitewood Studios, Liverpool, with Rob Whiteley, the album produced alongside long-time collaborator Ross Halden (Ghost Town Studios, Leeds) with frontman Mark Emmerson, with mastering via Dean Honer (All Seeing I/I Monster/The Moonlandingz).

Lead track ‘CHI-03’ gives the album its first sucker punch moment. A track born out of listening to late 80s hip hip records on loop before allowing the 303 to take on the co-lead vocal role alongside the addition of the sampler. A beat again designed to make people move, with enough Lucid sonics to stamp the band signature.

‘Leave Me In The Dark’ takes a 7 minute journey that taps into places the band have been before. No mean feat when that is a melting pot of dub, drum ‘n’ bass, jungle and enough raw power to know that this is a Lucid Dream track.

Side 2 kicks off with ‘Fight To Survive’. A beat belonging in 80s New York, keys more suited to the East Coast counterparts of the time, another statement. ‘It’s a campaign of hate, campaign of hate’.

‘Sunrise’ then takes the album on another tangent. The Lucid Dream tapped into acid house on ‘Actualisation’ but this track is acid/Balearic in its purest form. Another track that begs for communal celebration, when the opportunity permits.
‘High and Wild’ closes the album. The 9 minutes within don’t share the optimism and ‘highs’ displayed in the 35 minutes prior but doesn’t suffer any for it either. The most ‘conventional’ and only guitar based song on the album, this track won’t be found near a dance floor. More suited for the days after, when the highest highs bring the real lows.
 
The Lucid Dream formed in Carlisle, Cumbria, in 2008. A string of sold-out 7″s was followed by the debut longer player, ‘Songs Of Lies and Deceit‘, in August 2013. The album gained critical acclaim from the likes of Uncut, Q, Rocksound, Clash, The Quietus, and leading French culture magazine, ‘Les Inrocks‘, to name a few. The initial vinyl pressing of the debut album (500 copies) sold out within 2 days, and was backed by a main stage slot at Kendal Calling, and supports to Death In Vegas and A Place To Bury Strangers (full UK tour).
 
The band’s 2nd album (‘The Lucid Dream’) was released in March 2015 to further acclaim. This included 2 BBC 6 Music sessions and plays across most shows on the station, as well as plays from BBC Radio 1 and BBC Radio 2 .Further press followed from Uncut, The Skinny, Louder Than War, and Drowned In Sound, who named the album #7 UK album of 2015. Supports to Clinic and A Place To Bury Strangers also coincided.
 
 3rd album, ‘Compulsion Songs’ was released in September 2016, on Holy Are You Recordings. The vinyl pressing of the album sold-out within a day, prompting an immediate 2nd press, with pre-sales of the album topping 1,000 before release. The album was backed by a headline UK tour, and a main slot at Liverpool International Festival of Psychedelia (for which they were singled out for major plaudits from The Quietus, The Skinny and Drowned In Sound). The album again received acclaim from the likes of Mojo, Uncut, Classic Rock Magazine, BBC Radio 2 (and across the board on BBC 6 Music (Lauren Laverne, Marc Riley, Tom Ravenscroft, Gideon Coe, Stuart Maconie).

4th album, ‘Actualisation’, was released in October 2018 and continued their musical development whilst also becoming their most commercially successful record yet. The self-released Carlisle album made a dent in the physical Official UK album chart as well as gaining huge plaudits in the shape of legendary influence Andrew Weatherall (who included ‘SX1000’ in his NTS summer mix) and again BBC Radio 6 Music (‘SX1000’ being included in the best songs of 2018, courtesy of Radcliffe/Maconie).
Sold out UK headline dates coincided as well as The Lucid Dream being selected as UK tour support to US psych legends, Wooden Shjips. The album tour wrapped up with main stage support to New Order at Bluedot Festival.

Thomas Schumacher is finally back on Noir Music with another outstanding 2-tracker.Over the years me and Thomas have become great friends as we click on so many levels and share the same taste in dark, melancholic and emotional music. I have been a big fan of Thomas' music for many years and i am still a great supporter of his productions today so obviously i am honored to release his music on my label again. On these 2 tracks Thomas has recorded 2 authentic and raw tracks with a no holding back, zero bulls*** attitude. You can hear the "no formular" approach on both and i love that. We had an honest and creative back and forth A&R process on both tracks before and after testing them in the clubs and this has given both a unique and fresh techno sound. Maybe it is the trust you put in Extrawelt after having released so many great tracks that you feel in good hands and in good company with this new Extrawelt track!

"Heracid" is no classic acid track though it throws in a reference to the acid days. But overall it carries more of an undercurrent urgency and simmering that builds the tension of the track. This may as well put it next to the excellent techno tracks you have heard recently. It is a powerful and muscular track to sink into and enjoy.

"Madjafala" has a different logic than the a-side track "Heracid" it gives only vague „answers“ to the arising expectations when listening to the track. It could be called a track perfectly in tune with our unstable times. There is certainly a lot of neurotic energy and tricky twists in directions you would not have expected. There is enough tension for a whole year in this unusual track.

On 6 th November Bristolian master Krust presents 'The Edge Of Everything' – his first album in 14 years. The pre-eminent electronic icon – who continuously prolifically blew minds throughout the 90s and 00s – has now fully returned from a long break, rejuvenated and artistically liberated.

The album appears if beamed-in from the edge of the universe, way beyond the precipice in a metaphysical netherworld. This is Krust as futurist revisionist, making exhilarating, standout music of depth and substance, which is unlike anything else, above-and-beyond floor-focussed confines. Krust’s music is more individualistic; closer to the vivid brushstrokes of a fauvist painting, and less like a diagram on a grid.

The Ossario EP presents four serpentine and labyrinthine techno tracks produced between 2019-20 by Andrea Bonalumi, also known as Big Hands. The title is an homage to San Bernardino alle Ossa in Bonalumi’s hometown of Milan, and personifies the ethereal and opaque atmosphere of his ouevre.

Stylistically ‘Girde Maye/Astere’ embodies the interrelation between his Milanese roots and adopted home of London. Recorded one summer evening in Bow, it includes an original vocal by a Turkish immigrant, spoken in Italian - a paean to an unrealised, borderless world. This is followed by the pendulous, mutating bell tones of ’Modulo’, a fragmented and abstract epic of sublime beauty that defies easy categorisation.

On ‘Oscillation’ the producer explores polyrhythms, which also functions as a tool for DJs to transition between tempos. The undulating groove of ’Cariatide’ rounds out the EP, a statement from a talented producer who deftly crafts a soundworld which is at once contemporary and historical.

Co-Accused kick things off on their label with sonic grooves from another galaxy! The title track ‘Psychonaut Society’ sends you on a deep space exploration of electro with driving, Detroit dreaminess. The Jensen Interceptor remix is a darker trip with wicked drums and sinister synth work. On the flip side it’s a sonic assault with ‘Wormhole Warzone’ taking you on a hypnotic relentless techno journey. ‘Restricted Access’ closes off the EP with futuristic electro funk that will have you dislocating hips on the dance floor!

The first in a series of various artists to be released by Details Sound - The Spirit Of The Age Vol. 1 is a personal attempt to represent "the spirit" of this moment, an eye on the sea, where the initial intention of powerful and dynamic body music is changing, leaving room for a more contemplative and reflective way of dancing, where large places give space to the little ones, taking back the original spirit of being together. On the A side, Anatolian Weapons opens with A Series Of Changes - a progression of looped vocals and acidic basslines that culminate in a full, liberating rhythm. Following A Hand Modern Cage focuses on a more hypnotic and evocative soundtrack that can perfectly match an atmospheric opening. On the flip Gamma Intel’s Note To My Love deliver a mix of broken and electro rhythms that are part of the artist signature sound, ending with an intricate weave of melodic basslines. Heady, deep dive into techno's more psychedelic spaces, true to form, "Dimensions Doors" EP kicks off with the rolling kicks of "Portal Opening", a trippy exploration of shifting ambiances and rhythmic noise, punctuated by a siren tone. AWB steps up with a broken beat remix of "Portal Opening", layering Clotur's ambiances over low-slung percussion. "Hyperspace Travel" brings up the energy with galloping kicks and rippling resonant synths. BLNDR follows up with a pounding remix, building Clotur's sweeping textures into trippy loops circling over a monolithic kick. "Irregular Frequencies" pulls even further into the portal, with a relentless, rubbery synth squelching along over driving, percussion. Clotur lays a gentle, but uneasy atmosphere over this trippy tool. He brings us back down with "Forbidden Level", another complex rhythmic track featuring glitchy percs and robotic warping over a tough low-end workout.

Much talked about project, now release is finally coming into fruition. Morphology approached Exalt with the idea of releasing one of their tracks. Roll forward a year and this 4 track EP comes with 2 brand new original Morphology tracks and stellar remixes from John Shima and B12 legend Steven Rutter.

In the beginning, there was just a box of tapes and “Fate’s Gentle Hand.”

It was the autumn of 2010, and an anonymous figure known only as the Head Technician, an employee of Pye Corner Audio Transcription Services (“Magnetically aligning ferrous particles since 1970”), found himself at an auction in the village of Coldred, pop. 110. He was on the hunt for tobacco pipes when he chanced across a trio of boxes listed in the auction catalog, which described their contents only as “archived magnetic recordings.” The sole bidder, he won the lot, and upon receipt of his purchase took possession of an unspecified number of mouldering cassettes and ¼" reel-to-reel tapes. The collection contained no identifying information save for a single phrase scrawled on each box: “Black Mill Sessions.” And so, armed with razors, eyedroppers, and a bevy of solid-state circuitry, the Head Technician sat down at his machines and got to work.

Whether anyone believed it or not, this was the framing device surrounding Pye Corner Audio’s Black Mill Tapes Volume I: Avant Shards, which took the mysterious tactics of artists like Boards of Canada and Burial and raised them exponentially. Much like the narrator of a 19th century novel, the anonymous Head Technician purported merely to be the messenger of secondhand sounds. These were not compositions, we were told; they were tape transfers—“transcriptions” of an unknown author, slathered

After the exceptional first volume of ‘Rakka’, Vladislav Delay is taken by the wanderlust again for a ravishing 2nd album of elemental electronics inspired by the Finnish wilderness. RIYL Shackleton, Rian Treanor...
Where 2020’s ‘Rakka’ represented some of Sasu Ripatti aka Vladislav Delay’s most intensely noisy textures and rhythmic complexity, as inspired by walks in his native Finnish wilderness, his follow-up further draws on and refines that experience in a beautifully brutalist bouquet of brambling distortion and tempestuous pulses that speak to the chaotic power of nature’s ecological interdependence. In the process ‘Rakka II’ fulminates Delay’s reactive sound even closer to the styles of Shapednoise, but still distinguished by his signature,
freehanded style of percussive tumult that reaches beyond techno and club music into an ecstatic, holistic hybrid of power ambient, black metal, avant-dub, free jazz, and extreme dance musicks.
While still breathlessly busy and densely overgrown, ‘Rakka II’ is intended as the romantic answer to the more hostile first volume. Its seven parts balance a sense of febrile passion with hyper-disciplined logic in more explicitly emotive, optimistic gestures that emerge from its atonal murk and convulsive structures.
Boundaries of discord and harmony are smudged almost into the red, but rendered with the spatial definition that become a hallmark of Delay’s best work for over 20 years, but never heard quite so wild and lushly semi-conscious as on cuts such as the soaring and collapsing ‘Raato’, or the craggy might of ‘Raaha’, and the heart-in-mouth headiness of ‘Rapaa.

In the prolongation of the almighty "Elektrik Dancefloor” EP, “Demodulation” sees A Credible Eye Witness & Ghost Ride deliver their ninth collaboration to date! If the sound of A Credible Eye Witness has significantly evolved since his association with Ghost Ride back in 2018, it remains dancefloor all the way and has now turned into conscious melodies. The Roma located artists return today at their best with a raw electronic 12” that moves beyond an output calibrated for body shaking. Taking electro at a higher level, "Demodulation" opens with epileptic “Intruder”, a Detroitish slaughter made of pounding beats and frantic arpeggios over a speed rhythm. Dystopian "AMG Tune" coming next signs a groovy hit characterized by droid sonorities and alienating synth flights at the end of the track. Absolutely stunning! The flipside unleashes the Bass for some breaking movement with “I Can Never Die”. If the bassline sounds similar to the previous cut, the song goes deeper into the realm serving up a noir atmosphere reinforced by a creepy voice from besides grave. A powerful beast surrounded by cybernetic grooves bringing you back to the past! Merging retro electro flavor to vintage sonorities, final “Walking In The Galaxy” delivers an hypnotic mash up of analog swirls and organic oscillations to put you in a circle. Sophisticated and aesthetic at the same, homogenous and perfectly orchestrated, "Demodulation" brings a complete immersion into A Credible Eye Witness & Ghost Ride’s world, wild, colorful and automatic. For the second and last EP of Contemporary Spaces remixes, Dynamic Reflection welcomes yet another batch of talented producers to the label. Just like the first remix EP, it is a mix between household names, and up and comers. First off, it's Perc's interpretation of Glide. The UK based artist, who is known for his use of distortion and aggressiveness, takes it down a notch on this occasion. He has made Glide into a echoing and glitchy track that doesn't reach its energy peak until the last couple of minutes. Matrixxman takes overwith his Biohazard mix of Future Existence, which contains a tensive synth, confined by a filter that gradually opens,and than closes again, retaining your attention at all times. On the Bside, SHDW and Obscure Shape reshaped The Hunt to provide the first outright dance floor track of the EP. With its thumping kick and epic pads around the breaks, it's bound to win crowds over in the club. Dutch talent Ben Buitendijk also remixed Future Existence, in his own distinctive, hypnotic style. A deep, though energetic track with a very mature sound. Lastly, as a digital bonus, Matrixxman remixed Immersion as well. The subby kick, old school rides and uplifting lead, make it into one of those secret weapons, waiting to be used on the night's most workedup moments.

The next release on Tied features the debut release of Ciphr! A new alias of Max Jacobson and Christian Thomas, the EP features two original mind expanding tracks with a heavy jazz infused micro house sound. On remix duties Funk E delivers a darker stripped down version of Runnin and Silat Beksi give us a deep and grooving version of Saturnday, an unreleased Ciphr track.

Konstruktivists is the Industrial project of Glenn Michael Wallis from Kent, England. In the late ’70s Wallis was a “control agent” for Throbbing Gristle and the Industrial Records crew. Influenced by Krautrock bands like Can, NEU!, Cluster/Harmonia as well as Tuxedomoon, Yello, Chrome, and SPK, Glenn began to record his own material. After several cassette releases, Konstruktivists’ first LP ‘A Dissembly’ was released in 1982 followed by ‘Psykho Genetika’ in 1983 and ‘Black December’ in 1984. That same year Wallis collaborated with his friend Chris Carter, of Throbbing Gristle and Chris and Cosey fame, on CTI’s ‘Conspiracy International One’.

In 1985, Glenn spent a week at Chris and Cosey’s studio recording 11 tracks that would become the ’Glennascaul’ album originally released on Nigel Ayers' Sterile Records. Produced and mixed by Chris Carter, it marked a complete change in style for the band towards a beat-orientated rhythmic sound. ‘Glennascaul’ is proto electro at its very best, with Glenn’s hallucinogenic vocals on top. A musical collage designed to invoke images in the mind. The back cover clearly states “No guitars. No Fairlights.” For this deluxe reissue we’ve added two bonus tracks recorded around the same time, now vinyl for the first time ever. All songs have been remastered for vinyl by George Horn at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley. The record is housed in an exact replica of the original jacket featuring cover art, which is a co-production of Trevor Brown, Nigel Ayers and an image Glenn Wallis supplied. Each copy includes a double-sided 8x11 insert with liner notes by Nigel Ayers, press clippings, and photos.

Label Text "Dekmantel once again teams up with RE:VIVE, the cultural initiative setup by the The Netherlands Institute for Sound and Vision, to pair modern electronic talent with Dutch archival footage. The third EP in the Scores series sees Interstellar Funk and Italian producer Guenter Råler create innovative, modular soundscapes to the graceful visual arts unearthed from the EYE Filmmuseum archives.

As Interstellar Funk, Olf van Elden uses his production competency to craft a heavenly arpeggiated, synth composition to the amateur aquarium movies by J.L. Clement which are edited for this project by Sjoerd Martens. Filmed in the 1940’s, the video’s turn-of-the-century black-and-white style aquatic footage is reanimated through van Elden’s tacit polyphonic, modular sonic soundtrack. Layering together multiple sequences, van Elden pieces together the music as a whole, to mimic the way in which the film was created.

On the B-Side, Italian abstract artist and Dutch native Guenter Raler concocts a deeply introspective, and perfectly choreographed, ambient soundtrack to a select series of pieced together clips from the Collectie Natuurbeelden, the Institute’s Collection of Natural Images. The music plays against the depiction of multiple biological communities in transition; what is referred to as an ecotone. The title itself not only recalls that of a musical tone, but represents the ever-evolving aspect of life and nature as similar colours, along with movements of animals and plants pass on from one image to the next.

Within their own right, the new scores not only give the age-old films new context and sonic character, but exist as creative works as their own, full of resonance and individualism that highlight the retrospective artists’ voices to their fullest."

Hot Creations continues its 2021 release schedule this February with a four-track EP from Josh Hvaal. Getting Better sees the UK talent return to the label, fresh from releasing his maiden EP, The Sound, on the imprint in March last year.

Basic leads the charge and takes no prisoners as it goes, pairing rapid kick-hat combos against layered vocal tones to create Josh’s signature late-night sound. Getting Better comes next, blending a retro acid vibe with an up-tempo lead bassline before the near six-
minute Oi takes the form of a heavyweight techno number. Tiptoe brings things to an emotive close, showcasing Josh’s eclectic style with drawn-out chords and percussion- laden breaks.

Josh Hvaal has become a household name in the contemporary house sphere in recent times. It was in March that the young UK-native achieved a remarkable feat: releasing his debut EP on Hot Creations. Such an achievement didn’t go unnoticed, with industry heavyweights soon playing his music in the form of Joseph Capriati, Andrea Oliva and many more. Releases have since followed on Yousef’s Circus Recordings, Malgado’s Distortion and Hot Creations’ offshoot Hottrax, standing him in good stead for another successful year in 2021.

One half of Giant Swan, Robin Stewart breaks the ice for new label ipaadi with what he calls “a weird love letter to ‘maximal minimalism’”. Written in 2017 long before he had considered releasing solo music and all one drum machine, Robin presents a dry, bone-crunching set of industrial experiments that leave the clasp wide open for high-intensity dancefloor moments.

“Albatross” is a snapshot of Robin in a more frenetic, unyielding sonic space. Ranging from an enveloping sustain on the opening title track, a frantic 160bpm kick drum shower on “THCX” to an almost downtempo feel on “Triffid”, all of which feel borne out of a vast, collapsing industrial landscape similar to the one that he is also known for as part of Giant Swan.

Robin states that it's unlikely he'll make tunes like this again and cites label owner Yewande Adeniran (Ifeoluwa) as one of the main inspirations behind the record. Yewande convinced Robin to consolidate the tunes on Albatross; the two Bristol based DJs have developed a friendship while each becoming rising stars on UK techno rosters over the last few years. Ipaadi is the second label started by Yewande in the last year, the first, Intervention, focusing more on activism, charity and community through its releases whereas Ipaadi, is more of a personal project for the music they love.

Rove Ranger joins the Knotweed family with four raw, fast, funky, minimalistic. mechanical yet organic techno tracks that never forget to groove: fasten your seatbelt!

If there is one album that we would take with us an a desert island its this one. The worst of KRTM is one of the most refreshing records we have heard in a long time. Perfectly blending industrial Techno and Hardcore to one unique beautiful/terrifying work of art.

We could almost write a book on how unique and great this album is but lets just stop here and let the music do the talking.

German artist Chontane joins Rekids Special Projects with a twisted four-track release entitled ‘Healing EP’.

Over the last five years the Berlin-based DJ has played many of the capital’s best clubs, including Griessmuehle, ://about blank, Suicide Club, Arena Club, and OHM. However, the last two years have seen Chontane breakthrough as a producer having dropped his debut release on THEM Recordings, followed by a collaboration alongside WERK’s co-founder J. Manuel on the newly launched Magic Power imprint. He now joins Rekids Special Projects succeeding appearances from P.Leone, Shinedoe, Jon Hester, and label boss Radio Slave himself.

Opening the release, ‘Nam’ is built on an intricate rhythm and indistinguishable earworm vocal whilst a variety of tantalising elements ebb and flow from the mix. ‘Leto’ is then a dark and ominous number with an evil vox and delayed effects, before moving onto a percussive and synth-driven uplifting cut entitled ‘Exam’. Finally, ‘Gora’ concludes the release with its syncopated drums, purring bassline and soaring pads.

The Upward Spiral is Nicolas Bougaïeff’s debut fulllength album release on Mute, following the release of three EPs on the seminal electronic label’s techno offshoot, NovaMute.

The new album explores elements of acid, techno and tempo modulation through a compositional lens, drawing on the Canadian-born, Berlin-based artist’s love for avant-garde forms and longstanding relationship with the electronic music community.

Bougaïeff hails from diverse musical background, having studied in a conservatoire setting whilst foraying into anti-authoritarian rave culture. He is also a respected lecturer, regularly teaching masterclasses in composition and speaking at global events such as Mutek and Ableton Loop.

Following the completion of his PhD on minimal techno at the University of Huddersfield, Bougaïeff designed the controllers for Richie Hawtin’s Plastikman Live tour, and co-founded Liine, the
company behind the landmark music app Lemur used by astronaut Alexander Gerst on the International Space Station in a live jam with
Kraftwerk.

Berlin’s Swarm Intelligence joins NEW YORK TRAX Imports to release four fierce, off-beat techno and electro cuts. Tense atmospherics, uncompromising levels of distortion and stark, astute beats constitute a distinctive sound that Swarm Intelligence has been honing for more than a decade seeing him release on labels such as VOITAX, Ad Noiseam, Earwiggle and many more. The Dublin-born, Berlin-based producer is certainly no stranger to the techno world and his reputation of performing menacing live sets and deploying emphatic productions will leave an enduring impression on any listener. ‘NEW YORK TRAX Imports 04’ sees Swarm Intelligence join the New York Trax sub-label following the likes of Drvg Cvltvre, Endlec, Dawid Dahl and Another Alias. ‘Bury’ begins proceedings with powerful, syncopated drums fused with growling oscillations and haunting leads before intense vibrations scattered around resilient percussion and machine-like synth swirls take the focus in ‘Extraction’. On the flip, ‘Verloren’ maintains the sinister atmospherics through distorted kicks, eerie modulations and alarming feels until ‘Reach’ which recorded live, rounds things off with shooting, laser zaps, dramatic soundscapes and broken rhythms emphatically closing this fiery four track EP.

Kicking off our new white label series is Brighton-via-Bristol producer Syz. Drawing on a diverse range of touchpoints from across the spectrum of UK club music, this trio of dancefloor destroyers encompass precision-engineered soundsystem techno, mutant 2-step and West Country bass.

Wrapping things up, Pressure Dome founder Yushh returns to Control Freak with her ownflip of title track Bunzunkunzun, bringing down the BPM for a menacing rework that’s punctuated by her signature wonky rhythms.

Sparkling Yoghurt EP presents two original tracks from each producer. Eliaz - Ashait 86 is a stripped back acid groover that can ignite any dancefloor. His other track "S" is a stomping house 8 minute bomb that will definetly keep things going. Unai Trotti's - Un Nuevo Despertar is a perfect fusion of Electro/Breakbeat with minimal influence. One for the heads. On "Zumo de Grube" he delivers a more fluid 4x4 techno track with flawless percussion. HOT TIP!

Four animal songs. No text, no vocals, but bums and bass as added value on the slide rule. Star-cooked fast food of the fat kind. But stop, because the following happened: Hedgehog and woodpecker meet in the forest. That alone makes you think. A certain Mr. Sky, who is not described here for reasons of data protection and filial piety, dives out of a transparent pond and pulls the fish named Koi out of the drain that was not previously suspected there. The gyros then simply turned the tables.

Dimi is the new solo project and label of (Dimitrios Ploumpidis) one half of techno duo, AnD.

The Dimi label will be an exploration in sound, pushing techno, rave and dance floor sounds with a raw and powerful attitude.

DIMI001 kicks off with "Time Travel". Pulsating kick drums and vocal cuts interweave, creating groove with the snappy snare and lashing hi hats. When the huge synth stab and melody drop to take us straight to a hedonistic past put looking clearly into the future.

"Bang Your Face" enters the room with a tight, hard-hitting kick and serrated rave sirens building an infectious groove before being banged in the face with the old school euphoric synth line that drops in and out of the mix creating tension and dramatic shifts in the track.

"Groove Away" a throbbing bass and kick drum drop with a sinister stab for this funky techno monster. Hard in dynamics but with a maximum amount of groove this track thumps and slams while the spaced out synth line and rave stabs help keep this funky banger grooving all the way to outer space as the alien melodies propel us for take off.

"All In" syncopated delayed synth stabs build in this track with tight rhythmic percussion and distorted kick drum. The snare enters like a punch to the face but only solidifying the swing while the main synth line opens building tension ready to destroy everything in its path. This is Dimi showcasing his direct and unique take on techno music.

Marking Voitax's 25th release "Venice Pavillion", Farron delivers a beautiful blend of electronics that straddle the lines between jungle, IDM, electro, and techno. The A-Side kicks off with rough breaks, moody Reese basses, and fast footwork rhythms that crown the EP with its very own sparkling character - modern jungle topped with dystopian pads and pressing basslines are perfectly melted into the break-fuelled ride. The flip side doesn't cool things down - fluid drum patterns and hammering toms are continually chased by dramatic synths, with a constant weight brought to the table by the chunky low ends. The energy is maintained throughout, as jungle and electro live side by side in harmony in the track list before the release is brought to an emotional halt with a classy ambient piece.
