Six years before the release of his landmark Mother Earth’s Plantasia LP, composer and arranger Mort Garson met experimental film director Skip Sherwood, who was interested in an electronic score for his new movie, Didn’t You Hear?
While not much is known now about the exact nature of their collaboration, Here's Garson’s magnificent score as a record of those heady, early days after his life-changing discovery of the Moog synthesizer. Notable for being one of the earliest screen appearances by a young Gary Busey, Didn’t You Hear? also boasts one of the first-ever all-electronic movie scores. Though the score was first released in 1970, it sounds as adventurous and futuristic today as it must have then.

Delsin founder Marsel Van Der Wielen revives his Peel Seamus alias for a debut album proper. The leading Dutch techno label began in 1996 with a cassette-only Peel Seamus release, Publik Draft, which Van Der Wielen primarily distributed through early online channels of communication. There was a small flurry of 12" releases from the project around the turn of the century, but for a long time Peel Seamus has been quiet. Now Van Der Wielen has gathered together tracks from his archives, mostly written and recorded circa 2000, to present the Peel Seamus debut album proper, Susurro. Rooted in the classic Detroit and European techno that Delsin's identity is forged on, it's a deep, rich listen laden with heart and soul to match the mechanics of Van Der Wielen's chosen tools - a masterclass in expressive electronics and a fascinating insight into the musical DNA behind one of the world's finest techno labels.

Since completing his two-decade-long hip-hop trilogy as Dabrye in 2018, Ann Arbor-based artist and Bopside label head Tadd Mullinix has engaged his arsenal of aliases with renewed heat. First came the debut of X-Altera, a new project flexing a wildstyle hybrid of drum & bass and deep techno. Now, he returns to James T. Cotton, a moniker which dates back as far as Dabrye and helped define Spectral Sound, the dance imprint of Ghostly International. While historically tagged as Mullinix’s acid house alias, JTC has always expressed with a more pliable sense of genre, freely fusing an eclectic blend of classic electronic sounds; helpings of Chicago acid, Belgian New Beat, and the leftfield techno stylings popularized both in Berlin and Detroit. With Indigo, Flesh and Fire, Mullinix moves closer to the latter city, adopting a bright, optimistic tone informed by minimalism and futurism.
"I have been more withdrawn and introspective on a personal level, in a positive sense, and I think that fact has made my creativity reach toward feelings about peace, positivity, fantasy, wonder, and openness,” says Mullinix.
The EP is packed, but still playfully ambiguous; a club-ready set built to max out mixing boards with spacious and nuanced melodies and motorized percussion. Five tracks, each with roughly five-minute run-times, offering all but a few breaths in a quest for highly operative dancefloor hypnosis. The record wastes little time locking in; on the first track, “Innerloire Rendezvous,” a dense square kick plows through a brisk four-on-the-floor routine phasing over harmonious synth stacks of rubbery fifths and sevenths. The title track splatters a lenticular static spray between thumping kick, billowy melodic swells, and staticky clicks, snaps, and claps.
Mullinix’s distilled musical vocabulary, developed by his many years in the game, gives the set a misty-eyed quality without compromising its contemporary merit. This is music, inspired by history but fiercely forward-thinking, that feels both subterranean and airborne; in the grind on the ground and soaring above in an iridescent super-charged fog.
key selling points: - Debut release on Spectral Sound - Past releases on Firm Tracks, Nite Owl Diner, Sweat Equity, FCR, Clave - Limited to 300 copies worldwide.
After three years way, Area Forty_One makes a welcome return to Delsin with four more of his intergalactic explorations and the third part of his on-going Nocturnal Passions EP series. Ambient, techno, downtempo and electro all feed into these more cinematic soundscapes. Nocturnal Passions III opens the account with icy electro drum work and celestial melodies, while a groaning bassline down low adds real moodiness. Supernova is sci-fi ambient techno with beautiful keys floating amongst rippling arps that are gentle, soothing and designed to expand your mind. On the flip, Desolated Grounds is spooky and unsettling, with brilliantly haunting chords ringing out into the emptiness of space and making for a constantly feeling of peril. It's an absorbing, slow to evolve track that keeps you on edge. Closer G-832-C is deep and thoughtful thanks other nagging lead synth line and slow, and it rounds out another classy EP.

Ike Yard remain a legendary band of early '80s New York City – at once immensely influential, yet obscured by a far-too-brief initial phase. Their debut EP, the dark and absorbing Night After Night, sounds almost like a different group, so rapidly would Ike Yard evolve towards the calmly menacing electro throb of their self-titled LP.
Originally released on Factory in 1982, the album put Ike Yard's indelible mark on the synth-driven experimental rock scene then emerging all over the planet. While historical analogues would be Cabaret Voltaire's Red Mecca or Front 242's Geography, opening track "M. Kurtz" makes starkly clear that Ike Yard is a far heavier proposition.
With a thick porridge of bass, ringing guitar and strangled/stunted layers of voice, these six pieces are densely packed and perversely danceable. "Loss" sounds like a minimal techno track that could have been made last week, while "Kino" combines Soviet-era imagery with sparse soundscapes à la African Head Charge's Environmental Studies.
Ike Yard somehow pull off the toughest trick in modern music: making repetition hypnotically compelling through subtle variation. The effect of Ike Yard's first LP can be heard in many genres – from industrial dance labels like Wax Trax to electro-punk bands and innumerable European groups (Lucrate Milk, Red Lorry Yellow Lorry, etc.).
The fact that the cover artwork does not include any photos of the band, but rather features the original catalogue number (FACT A SECOND) only further illustrates the release's importance and Ike Yard's timeless mystique.
British techno stalwart Kirk Degiorgio steps up for the next SUARA release with three heavy hitting originals alongside a stomping remix from Mark Broom. ‘Arc Mode’ is drenched in 303 acid lines, pounding kicks and resonating cymbals, it’s ready-made for big rooms and dark dancefloors as surges of synths pulse through.
Another 90's powerhouse Mark Broom takes to remixing ‘Arc Mode’ dialling down the acid in place of full-frontal stabs, squelching bass synths and dizzying hats. On the flip, Degiorgio unleashes ‘Redeemer’ an amalgamation of swirling, siren-like synthlines, rising percussion and the kind of urgency that will raise fists over heads wherever it’s heard. Closing out the EP ‘Astral Cell’ is a bleepy, space searching cut to get lost in that’s both immersive and stirring in equal measure.
DJ Feedback: (1) Ramiro Lopez - Solid EP. Mark Broom always making a great job as well. (2) Joseph Capriati nice, will try soon! (3) Jeff Derringer - Very nice record!! (4) M.I.T.A. - Mark Broom, killer remix! (5) Drumcomplex - Mark Broom Remix is massive! (6) Klaudia Gawlas Redeemer is awesome! (7) Josh Wink - More diverse music from Kirk!

AZZUR owner, Melokolektiv returns on Galaktika with his first solo vinyl Ep on the imprint 'Where Are You Earth '.
A side brings three amazing original tracks to the table made of synthetic melodies, spacey beat and acid basslines. "Control the Night" and "How to be Drawn" will, with no doubt, pleased the dancefloor while "Where are You Earth" presents something deeper and melancholic.
On the B side, we are happy to welcome two of our all time favorite producers.
First, Langenberg, who offers us a sublime reinterpretation in the line of his deep and organic releases on Liebe*Detail, Drumpoet Community and Poker Flat.
Then, UK legend Mark E who delivers a functional, raw and hypnotic reinterpretation. Definitely something which will please Dj's. Timeless!
The wait is over as Eric Prydz returns under his Pryda alias to offer up four tracks of classic Pryda gold. Rich in sonic goodness, weighty arps, hard-hitting kicks and swelling synths it's a stand out e.p. for the 39th offering from the Pryda catalogue. As ever, there's an expert exhibition of musicianship and production on display in each of the tracks, a depth of character to the music that will sound monumental on any system they're played on.
Both dark and magical at the same time it's a real journey of a record and is sure to do damage whenever, and wherever, it's dropped.

It's been over a year since we at Suction Records last raided RX-101's archives, but far be it from a lack of quality material. In fact, we've been holding back this special batch of melodic, chilled out techno and electronica for 'Dopamine,' RX-101's first full-length vinyl LP. Dopamine (suction047) is a cohesive body of work with clear references to Aphex Twin's 'Selected Ambient Works 85-92', Polygon Window's 'Surfing on Sine Waves', and Warp Records' 'Artificial Intelligence' series.
For those of you new to the story, RX-101 is Dutch producer Erik Jong, who recorded hundreds of top-tier AFX/Rephlex-style tracks to cassette tape from 1997-1999, but never sent out any demos ('I didn't think my own tracks were good enough, or feel the need to share my tracks with others. I simply wanted to make music without any pretension or specific purpose'). Suction Records discovered RX-101's output via Erik's Soundcloud page, which had been much discussed on Aphex Twin fan forum We Are The Music Makers, where many speculated that Erik was in fact a secret Richard D James alias. We were blown away the vast treasure trove of golden era '90s electronics in Erik's archive, and began work on an ongoing campaign to release the music of RX-101.
Although Erik was initially driven to electronic music production through the influence of house and techno, especially Detroit-area heavyweight labels Underground Resistance, Plus 8, and Transmat, it should be clear to anyone who listens that RX-101's primary influence is the work of Richard D James. While RX-101's output to date has been like an overview of many facets of the AFX/Rephlex catalog, from Caustic Window-style crunchy techno, to Bochum Welt-style synth pop, to Universal Indicator-style acid, the focus of Dopamine's sound palette is firmly guided by the slow, funky and crisp 808 patterns, warm analog basslines, and evocative chords of Aphex Twin's landmark 'Selected Ambient 85-92' LP. It's an immersive listen from start to finish - 13 tracks of armchair techno of the highest order.

Like many Canadians, Joseph Shabason and Ben Gunning like to untangle themselves from urbanity and disappear up north a few times a year. Unlike other cottage-goers, Ben and Joseph don’t while away the ur-time on jet-skis and lounge on docks reading pulpy mysteries. Instead, they bring a car full of synths, drum machines, saxophones, guitars, samplers, effects, and recording equipment to jam the days away in a cabin-fever inducing haze of wood smoke, cedar musk, hot wires and jazz sweat.
Muldrew, recorded on the northern Ontario lake by that name, is the culmination of several years of this collaborative tradition. Resisting their penchant for composition and arrangement, the duo embarked on this project with only an open framework that encouraged restraint. The result is a sparse and improvisational album, hung on enough structure for each song to evoke a distinct, albeit ambiguous mood. Space is paramount and even the most digital elements breathe with the resonance of the room and mingle with creaking floors. The resulting album is steeped in the placid stillness and northern ambience of a lake at dawn, and the emotive expanse of a forest at dusk. Imagine an ECM cottage-series, or Jon Hassell and John Martyn scoring a Bela Tarr film set in rural Canada. This is the future-proof music of metropolitan polyglot minds invigorated by nature’s mute refusal to follow a click-track.
DMM Pressing. Limited Edition of 500.
Carl Finlow has been one of the most singular voices in electro for over two decades. From the records he makes under his given name to his numerous collaborations and alternative monikers, Finlow's music is suffused with playfulness and imagination. Silicon Scally is the most prolific of Finlow's alias projects, and on Dormant, the third Silicon Scally release for Sheffield's Central Processing Unit, Finlow constructs four pieces of thrillingly futuristic broken-beat electro.
From the opening cut 'V Electro' to Dormant's closing title-track, Finlow's production is incredibly detailed here. These tracks never stand still, their little cells of synth and percussion always evolving. When combined with some stomping drum programming, the final result is an EP which has that rare balance of endless danceability and genuinely innovative production. It's the sound of a master creator letting loose while also managing to keep everything in the pocket, a marvel of moving parts.
Dormant's tone is set from the first booming beats of 'V Electro'. The track's dense mesh of dystopian synth nodules will have you thinking of the nastiest, scuzziest Unit Moebius tune - if the aliens came to take you away, 'V Electro' is what they'd be playing as they beamed you up. Following track 'Bode' tweaks the vibe of 'V Electro' in a couple of key ways, jacking the tempo up to around 140 bpm while also incorporating some funk-flexing organ stabs which give 'Bode' the flavour of a Herbert production blasted into hyperspace.
Dormant's B-side kicks off with 'Proximity Sensor', a cut whose steady drum pulse and chunky bass motif take us back to the very earliest days of rhythmic machine music - Kraftwerk, Depeche Mode and the like. Mind you, the track's slinky synth lines are pure Drexciyan machine-funk, a vibe which is kicked into overdrive on Dormant's eponymous closer. Finlow's most intense production on the record, 'Dormant' is a polyrhythmic whirl which completely sweeps you up, leaving you no choice but to submit to its devilishly danceable impulse.
After a few recent drops which have expanded the sonic world of Central Processing Unit, Silicon Scally's Dormant EP is a reminder that the Sheffield label still does circuit-frying electro better than anyone else out there.

For AI-21, Italian duo The Abyss Within Us enters the fold. The project, consisting of Claudio Porceddu (Claudio PRC) and Stefano Ferrari (menion), combines lush ambient textures with beguiling mysticism. Originally performed in Ankali, Prague, the rich and expansive ‘Life in a Circle’ constitutes a 2-part journey deep into darker, farther places. The Brabant Shrobbelèr is a searing 20 minutes of classic and unreleased New Beat tributes by James Kirby aka TheCaretaker aka V/Vm, comprising material produced and originally produced in 2006. It was selected and sequenced by Jerk van den Boschalottt and mixed and chopped to mucky perfection by Miles ov Demdike Stare, marking up a personally important 5th instalment of our BK12X12 series, while also providing an arguably fitting headstone to one of V/Vm's most cultishly
adored projects.New Beat has long become the black sheep of Manchester's dance music canon, wilfully unacknowledged by successive generations of DJs who continue to suckle at the entrails of the Haçienda, when in fact New Beat was a crucial part of the Manc Dance make-up, most often mixed up with Chicago, Detroit and New York house, and whatever UK bleeps and boops were bubbling thru at that time.
James Kirby aka V/Vm is all too aware of the fact, and thanks to the influence and legendary DJ sets of V/Vm card holder, Acid Alan - whose New Beat collection spilled over the racks at a now defunct NQ record shop - its memory and place in Manchester's rave folklore has been preserved by only a select few souls who really.cannot.be.fucking.chuffed. with the constantly regurgitated putative history of our city's club and warehouse culture.
Now, 30 years since New Beat was syncretised and sonified by the weekending loons of Flanders from the the best/worst bits of synth-pop, EBM, house and electro - arguably giving birth to
the rave techno paradigm we know and love in the process - V/Vm's sincerely dark, sexy, and unforgiving dedications take on a new afterlife, resculpted into the oft-maligned but temporally
appropriate format of a MegaMix, as was found on dozens of original New Beat and Acid House compilations and 12's.
Driving from Be-Dash's over-the-limit jackoff, Must Do to the curdled acid gargle of Euro Hit via pure smuts in I Wanna Fuck Miss Nicky Trax, also taking in 'Animal' Andy McGregor's Fuck My Pussy and Hear Me Coming, and previously unknown gold such as Russell Grant and Bajs Grotta, this is the sort of record that deserves its own plinth in the Arndale, preferably somewhere in front of the sweaty gammons and chicken elbows at Gabbott's farm shop...

'Fuck Varg' is Varg2TM--the artist formerly known as Varg--at his most chaotic and ornate. Streamlining a plethora of techniques and motifs into his inimitable and fearless style, there's reckless charm and misanthropy turbulently sequenced to perfection. Charting a route through the cybergothic psychedelia of the opening track, to the wistful anthemic charge of 'Thirst (Dressed in Nothing But UV Paint and Biodegradable Glitter)', and finally landing on the peak dead-eyed sermon of 'Parasites (Honest Music for Dishonest People) ft. G19', the digital EP's presentation rounds off on a lean and severe remix from VTSS. It's an EP of restlessness, ruins, and ecstatic keyboard mashing because there's not an emoji that's demonic enough.

Kogarashi is a Japanese word that means “the wind preceding the onset of winter”, – thus Kogarashi Tales showcases itself as a collection of stories that are connected and carried by that cold, windy feeling with songs that share the personal, yet universal, stories about love, loss, loneliness, dependence, and inner strength. Thoroughly crafted lyrics poetically penetrate the psychology of the mind, human desires, and flaws.
This first EP of the band is the synthesis of the sensibilities of the collective and the logical extension of their live performances of ALEA (s). Beyond the music, drawing and animation find their place there with neat artwork (and a limited series which includes drawings by FSTN the illustrator of the collective) and a vinyl which includes hundreds of drawings forming a mini animation movie loop if the disc is played under a stroboscopic light.

Memory Disks. Volume Two. Chevron. Jonathan Valentine returns to Shipwrec with a second instalment of his mind and motherboard melting music. This mini album is packed to bursting with ten tracks of acid soaked electronics, chiptune glossed chicanery and retuned rock reworks. Volume two picks up where the first left off as the Blackpool wizard reimagines and reshapes drill and bass, beatless ambient and funfair funk. A catherine wheel is ignited from the needle drop to send a rainbow of sounds and styles spinning and swirling under the shimmering brilliance of Valentine's daring creativity. Stand back and simply enjoy.

Following on from last year's album, Heart Of Sky, Damian Lazarus joins forces once again with his
spellbinding live project, The Ancient Moons, on Crosstown Rebels this April. He invites two of
Crosstown's most recent signees, BUTCH and Ae:ther, to provide their own take on the track.
The original cut of All I Need To Get High opens up with an atmospheric, broken beat intro. Lazarus explains
that he 'started with the pretext of the melody from the Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell classic and built a
psychedelic journey inspired by Pink Floyd and gospel choirs'. The breathy and soulful male vocals blend
effortlessly into the euphoric and hypnotising strings as the underpinning bassline drives the track onward.
'The song is deep, soulful and a little strange and I'm very proud of it,' Damian says. BUTCH creates a more
club aesthetic, adding a deep and rolling bass with squelchy synths and minimal vocals. A mesmerising
break bleeds back into the gritty bass. Next to provide their take is Ae:ther. He creates a more sinister and
foreboding feel with trance-like elements and an urgent beat.
Damian Lazarus & The Ancient Moons have unleashed a plethora of enchanting releases on Crosstown
over the past few years. 2015's album, Message From The Other Side, received high praise from the media
with The Fader calling it 'a journey into techno's dreamiest recesses' and Vice naming it a 'psychedelic
masterpiece'. Taken from last year's Heart Of Sky album, All I Need To Get High, features the vocal talents
of London singer Jesse Appiah, who has worked alongside Michael Kiwanuka, Jamie Woon, Kwabs and
Jess Glynne. BUTCH has worked alongside big names such as Ricardo Villalobos and released on the likes
of Rekids and Cocoon. His hard work has seen him awarded the title of Best Producer from Groove
Magazine two years running. As well as providing this remix for Lazarus, Ae:ther's debut album has also
been signed to Crosstown. 2019 will see the Berlin-based producer release once again on Afterlife as well as
unleashing his dazzling live-show on the world.

The second vinyl only release by Secret Keywords is a split record combining firstly two production versions by label head
Gianmarco Silvetti and Dahraxt. The second half or flip side is an original production from Giordanø alongside a remix from Conrad Van Orton.
Gianmarco's opening version of "Interstellar Cowboy" is made of stern stuff. Blistering claps, spaced out acid and an old school flare give this a unique feel.
Fellow Berliner, Dahraxt aka Mannella runs PicNic34 and its sublabel JTseries that has included contributions from Blawan, Sunil Sharpe for example.
Track two is his take on "Interstellar Cowboy" opting for a bubbling bassline with wild, looping samples, obscure textures but with a clear dance floor influence.
Giordanø is an Italian artist who has released music Illegal Alien, Affekt and Granulart.
His original track "Shimmer Mist" works a menacing gritty, analogue hook with a solid groove. Fairly stripped back and functional this is proper DJ weapon.
Conrad Van Orton rounds off the artists on this release. His remix of "Shimmer Mist" adds a more streamlined approach with a driving pulse. Additional deep chords add a classy melodic touch, but don't be fooled, this is a powerful masterpiece of sound architecture.

Lone and KETTAMA met at Glastonbury festival last year after being booked together for a B2B DJ set.
Although they had never DJ'ed together before their styles complimented each other perfectly and it was only natural that they get in the studio together.
The EP features one collaborative track and an original each from both artists but they way the tracks fit together you could be forgiven for thinking the whole EP was collaborative.
We know at R&S that Lone is capable of creating many different feelings with his music, working alongside KETTAMA seems to have pushed the euphoric, endorphin heightening 4/4 feels to the forefront. In turn KETTAMA reaches for some some synth lines that could have come straight from the Lone playbook. The influence of each artist on the other is plain to see and the results are three killer club tracks that people are going to be hard pushed to pick a favourite from.
We'll leave the final words to the artists:
KETTAMA:
"Matt (Lone) is a person I respect so highly as a producer so working with him on this EP was a seriously good time! The whole record came together so naturally in the end and super happy with the way it came out!"
“Releasing on R&S really is a mammoth thing for me personally. The label is not only, in my opinion one of the most iconic, long standing and diverse record labels since its inception but is also home to a lot of the music that stays most memorable to me when growing up and going out to raves when I was first getting into electronic music. The label is also where I first discovered Matt’s music through YouTube digging many moons ago and have been so influenced by it ever since. The combination of all these things makes it all the more special to do this record with him on this special label.”
Lone
“The first time me and Evan met in person was literally 15 minutes before our set together at Glastonbury last year. The set felt so natural and fun - it was clear to me we had the same ear for a vibe then and there - hearing his music for the first time gave me that buzz as well - effortlessly banging and euphoric so it felt right to carry that feeling over for this project. We didn’t need to talk too much or over analyse what we were doing, it was just about catching that vibe that I think connects our solo music so strongly. Evan is a beast producer, his music is some of the most exciting club music out there so it was a total honour to collaborate on this EP - and for it to land on R&S is a huge deal for the both of us… This project is about having fun, catching a vibe - total escapism exactly what we need at this time.”

The next strut of Lanthan.audio comes from curator Christian Gerlach himself. After an intense episode of exploring human architecture, it is time to open a new chapter and devote itself to the far more complex and graceful architecture of nature. With this five original tracks Christian shows the diversity of his productions facets and ranks in the series of his label.

We're glad to share another vinyl relic by adept veteran Feral. 'Woodland' takes us on a trip through his immaculate craftsmanship and inimitable sound, lacing contemporary minimalist deep dub techno with tribal psychedelia.
Feral consistently carries a thread of spirituality throughout his work. Embodying the sound of deep techno through his passion for audio engineering, hardware experimentation and fascination for percussive instruments, as well as an affinity for the shamanic becomes apparent when we swirl in tribal timbres and rhythms.
Finding comfort in the solitude of his studio; the sounds of Feral unearth the path of his multidimensional world, transporting the listener to a haunting, yet grounding refuge within.
The record will be pressed in two color alternatives and come sheathed inside our custom cut hansaboard sleeves, printed in full color with an oil painting by Gabriella Holmstrom.

Fluxion is an artist with a long standing contribution to the electronic music scene. "Perspectives" is the artist's 9th full length album under this moniker.
His collaborations over the years with top boutique labels, such as Chain Reaction and Echocord records, and his total volume of albums and eps, place him at the forefront of the electronic music scene, for more than 20 years. From avant guard electronic dance music to techno with ambient textures, Fluxion has managed to stay at the forefront producing music that helped shape up a whole scene.
"Perspectives" is a more personal album expressing the artist's state of mind at a specific point in time where the need for change was a necessity..
There are moments in every artistic path, where instead of following a concept, an instinct, a theorem, music becomes the tool that allows you to see and reflect more clearly on your own feelings.
Music has this unique ability to talk straight to your inner world, and doesn't necessarily request the process and the complexities of an analytical mind in order to be understood..It can just be felt.
That is at the core of "Perspectives", which sees a release on the artist's imprint Vibrant Music.
This album reflects on moments and moods, but in the process of doing so it manages to balance between listening environments, making it a fine full LP listening experience, and at the same time offering some great club choices, with tracks like "Formation","Glimpses". "Dawn","Glimpses II" and "Cliff" a version of which has been released by XLR8R last year.
With "Perspective" Fluxion has no intention to impress, but rather express in a more honest way, and share a moment in time, full of intimate moods, and take us on a journey..
One where feeling the music, is at the center.

You may ask: "In the day and age of streaming playlists and the omnipresence of freely available mixes, what's the use of a label compilation?" The answer is simple: labels still serve as a dearly needed filter mechanism in this tsunami of music we're facing every day. Labels strive to establish trust between artists and listeners. They're like your favorite restaurant around the corner. On the spur of the moment, you might find more excitement in that hip place that just opened somewhere else. But when the novelty fades, you'll always return to your sanctuary. The safe place where they know your name and the last drink is on the house. KOMPAKT has become such a place for generations of fans and artists alike. And the TOTAL compilation series serves as its menu: always changing but instantly recognizable.
As per usual TOTAL is a collection of the past years biggest tunes, the creme de la creme of KOMPAKT's steady output of 12"s topped off with eight exclusive unreleased tracks that are also available on the 2LP vinyl edition of TOTAL 19.
With JÜRGEN PAAPE, the notorious VOIGT brothers, THOMAS/MAYER and JÖRG BURGER - all founding fathers are on board. Legacy artists SASCHA FUNKE and JUSTUS KÖHNCKE make their long-awaited comebacks, the latter with a kinky Patrick Cowley homage called "Mindless Sex Track". Cologne young blood JULIAN STETTER nails the starry-eyed, romantic KOMPAKT signature sound with his remix for an up and coming local pop outfit called ALBERT LUXUS. Fellow Colonian JONATHAN KASPAR makes his label debut with his slinky track "Renard". DJ BALDUIN definitely is one to watch in 2020. His massive "E.W.B.A." transcends the friendly populism of an ancient Love Parade anthem while capturing the sincere spirit of today's electro revival. REX THE DOG's "Vortex" and TOM DEMAC's "Serenade" perfectly showcase why KOMPAKT is still one of the most played and charted labels in electronic music today. In a scene that is more fragmented than ever these two producers delivered true consensus hits that are cherished on all sizes and shapes of floors beyond genre boundaries.
The second half completely belongs to a whole new breed from our beloved SPEICHER series such as ANNA, YOTAM AVNI, EXTRAWELT, RAXON, BLACKRACHAS, JOHN MONKMAN and LA FLEUR alongside our full time members PATRICE BÄUMEL, KÖLSCH and GUI BORATTO. The energy levels are way up and the mission reads clearly: We'll never stop dancing this way.

Leading through experimentation, Luca Vollaro aka Electrorites has been an unyielding force throughout the global techno scene. After establishing Nightmare Factory in 2010 and the subsequent release and success of his 2016 acclaimed album “Structures”, the Italian producer has not ceased in his expedition for excellence. Now releasing the 4th iteration of his archival series, “STR004 Archives Vol.4”, is a monolithic EP of digital soundscapes.
Releasing through his newly established label, Structures Records, “STR004 Archives Vol.4” is a relentless battery of hard techno basslines and abstracted beats. Composed of three archived tracks, 010, 011 and 012, this EP is a cavernous inception of industrial techno.
Leading the charge, Archive 010 is a robust and tireless propulsion into the depths of Electrorites’ mind. Hi-hats and computational effects ring throughout producing high powered and hysteria inducing sequences. Distorted and unclear at points, the track feeds off its adrenaline spiking nature to entrap listeners.
To follow, Archive 011 begins with a clean and rigid bassline, that eventually devolves into a futuristic and chaotic pass. Swept up in the evolution of the track, the mind is carried out of the body for a rhythmic onslaught of the senses. Then, out of seemingly thin air, a voice cuts through the noise, the voice of Charlie Chaplin in The Great Dictator. The uplifting monologue conjures up emotions and ignites the commonality of man, creating a unified electro-body.
Concluding the EP Archive 012 is the final assault in Electrorites’ work. Carrying similar kick and bass arrangements to tracks past, Archive 012 blares out uncompromising tones and is remorseless in its inflexibility. Ending on an abstract flurry of sound, Electrorites has once again demonstrated his techno prowess and electronic dexterity. “STR004 Archives Vol.4” is to be released in the end of June via Structures Records.

We met Franck Vigroux for the first time years ago at Berlin's Berghain during a soundcheck. At that time he performed with Mika Vainio, with whom Vigroux often worked together.
The first track on »Ballades sur lac gelé« dates back to that time. It was created under the impression of this collaboration and friendship with Mika Vainio. This album is dedicated to him.
Vainio's oeuvre is also significant in connection with the history of raster, so it was only logical and our wish to release this album by Franck Vigroux.
With the beginning of the corona pandemic, Franck Vigroux took up this early material again, he continued to formulate it and completed the present album »Ballades sur lac gelé«. The title already defines the theme of the ballad, a "song/poem with very minimal structures" (quote Vigroux).
"Ballade" is also a play on words with the French word "balade", in this sense a ramble, a ramble over a frozen lake. The reduced, cool structures reflect this. But at the same time, under the surface, the (often distorted) sound carpets steadily increase to immense power. Like ice that grows and tectonic forces that have to erupt, glacier-like.
Vigroux is very skilled at creating music in this minimalist setting. The intertwining of very few musical elements creates a kind of soundtrack that is multi-layered and at the same time universally intelligible.
»Ballades sur lac gelé« will be released on June 26th, 2020 as a digital pre-release exclusively on our sites. The physical formats, i.e. CD and vinyl, can be pre-ordered. The official worldwide release date will be announced at a later point in time.

Rotterdam is miserably cold and rainy. Plagued by gentrification and technological unemployment, the harbor city is slowly turning into a desolate, mechanized metropolis. Secretly tucked away on the outskirts, if you know where to look, there are a few remaining military bunkers. This is where the city's youth go sporadically to relieve their anger and grief. During these nights, they tirelessly rage to the dystopian sound of Gamma Intel's slow-burning electro and hypno-acid, before returning to the struggles of their daily lives.

Jesse is one most interesting electronic acts of the Northern countries. Stiletti-Ana and Kalifornia-Keke make up the core of the band that plays with new genres and often explores new musical areas. In the bands residence, the studio in Helsinki with a collection of retro futuristic synthesizers that would make even William Onyeabor envy, the members are toying with new influences and creates deep pulsating and atmospheric songs. Höga Nord Rekords now release two of them as a 7”.
This single has more in common with Stiletti-Anas solo record from 2019 than of earlier releases by Jesse and is more oriented towards and ambient- and leftfield sound than “Fluids” from 2018. The songs bubble and flows beneath a tense surface. The music is suggestive and soft, still with a club nerve in it.
Jesse often chooses new musical paths and this release is the start of such a new direction.

After the Kolaps EP on shtum, The Uncanny Valley crew is stoked to present a new bright chapter of the Polish-German friendship which resulted in Chino's AUTOSTRADA. The musician, graphic wizard and all around good guy from Krakow carved four raw and gloomy soul anthems out of his machines to create a record that features a wide range of music which is still connected by a common feeling. AUTOSTRADA isn't just a hard-rocking Electro track in its own right but also an aural reminiscence to the long but fun hours Chino spent on Autobahnen or Autostradas to drive to gigs, for instance at Uncanny Valley's home base Dresden. With DYSCYPLINA, he turns to a wave/EBM approach. The result is a track that encourages anything but disciplined behaviour on the dance floor. CARABO CRUISE on the other hand is his take on Italo anthems, but with a special Chino-touch that is impossible to resist. Think of sunrises in industrial areas. Finally, we got ALWERNIA which is heavily inspired by dark sci-fi movies. If Tarkowski met a bunch of 24-Hour-Party-Robots, this could be the soundtrack.

Veteran Swedish Techno artist Joel Mull revisits one of his earliest aliases as Damm for an album of after-hours inspired morning portraits on A Strangely Isolated Place. Simple observations can set many complex ideas in motion and it was the view from Joel's window that pushed him to create an album inspired by majestic cloud formations and Mother Nature's finest hour. 'Nautical dawn' occurs when the Sun is 12 degrees below the horizon, where the colors, clouds, sounds and atmosphere become an ever-changing spectacle. This phenomenon is reflected through the albums eleven shifting styles and moods; from field recordings and introspective synthesizer melodies, to more upbeat, glittering electronica and head-nod inducing ambient techno. Ten years in the making, the album's variety and depth developed alongside Joel's impromptu production sessions - be it at home in the early hours, or further window-watching on trains across Europe. What evolved as sketches in a variety of styles, soon started to form a narrative similar to his infamous DJ sets; moving seamlessly through chapters, feelings and colors, capturing Joel's passion for all aspects of electronic music. This is a soundtrack for friends watching the sun rise once more, first thing in the morning, or last thing at night.

A multi-system conglomerate servicing planets within the Orion Arm of the Milky Way, TerraFirm provides the desiccated, toxified, irradiated or otherwise uninhabitable planets of this sector with a suite of services to rectify any environmental challenge. From geoformation to carbon extraction, desalination to biome rehabilitation, TerraFirm has a full range of services to return your planet to its naturally thriving, pre-apocalypse state.
The topography of post-biological planets is typically rendered flat by the devastations of resource extraction, nuclear war and tectonic collapse. Without geologic features to divide and differentiate, biomes and weather systems collapse into chaos. Superstorms and continent-wide deserts proliferate. TerraFirm’s patented process of Orogenesis has been developed to reintroduce geologic features necessary for your planet’s survival. Through the magnetic manipulation of tectonic plates mountain ranges, plateaus, valleys and more can be constructed with precision. These geoformations will then provide the boundary lines by which various biomes and weather systems can establish themselves.

Manchester's Lack lands on Livity Sound with the 'Inside' EP following on from recent releases with UK labels Cong Burn and Blank Mind,
This new record distills the Lack aesthetic across four tracks. The title track's pulsating drift channels Chain Reaction and vintage Kode 9; 'Machine Club' brings a thumping deep techno sprawl; whilst the grit laden 'Rrrush and 'Shifter' build and innovate on UK rhythm styles. The 'Inside' EP is a window in to the world of Lack and a major statement of intent from one of the UK's most promising rising producers.
Livity Sound is a label set up by Peverelist in 2011 as a vehicle for a raw and exploratory strain of UK techno, rooted in the heritage of UK dance music and sound system culture. It has since become one of the UK's foremost protagonists for cutting edge underground music.

"ALEATORY CHAOS" is coming back with the third chapter, a very special edition because it will include the unreleased 1984 original version of “No Words” by 'XYMOX' , a very awaited “truly wet dream” for any early post-punk vinyl collector.
The record becomes just indispensable thanks to the contribution of actual proposals as Vacant Stares (Portland/USA), Oby Wolf (New York/USA) and Abu Nein (Malmö/SWEDEN). It's a delicious white wax.
All tracks have been specially remastered for 'LONG CUT' vinyl by Daniel Hallhuber at Young and Cold Studios (Germany).
Xavier De Enciso is a DJ, scholar, producer, artist and renegade promoter who has been operating in Los Angeles for two decades. He’s at home on underground dance floors. His 4 track ep for Yaxteq visits darker and lighter corners of this special place. Dark
hypnotic pulses and textures dominate Rasquache and Metztli. The dance floor journey continues with WareHouse Deep and Long Distance with their hi tech funk fueled basslines and swinging drums. This is essential for skilled DJs that must take their audience on a real ride!!

Duñe and Crayon have been working together for a few years now. Crayon, discovered by Kitsuné is a close relative of FKJ and Kartell. Duñe, on the other hand, has evolved with the duo Saje.
It was within the Roche Musique family that they met and naturally started working on a joint-EP in 2016, soberly entitled Duñe x Crayon. Both self-taught producers, Crayon and Duñe, former inhabitants of Parisian suburbs located at opposite positions, yet quickly found each other.
For their first album, they lock themselves in their studio day and night, until they choke. It would take them several years - interspersed with a few solo projects - for the two artists to give birth to Hundred Fifty Roses. An album through which they expose themselves, both in production and in writing but also in interpretation. On rhythms sometimes inspired by Anglo-Saxon sensuality, but with a production that is indie enough to infuse more warmth. A groove with a soft pop feel to which Thomas Clairice, former bass player of HER, also contributes. To accompany Duñe, bright voices were invited on six of the album's thirteen tracks : We hear French singer and rapper Ichon‘s velvet voice (whom Crayon also produces) on "Pointless"; Gracy Hopkins brings his soul on "Your fruit". Ph Trigano - another artist who produces Ichon - participates in "PS" along with Swing.
Lossapardo - with whom Crayon had already recorded on his solo projects - close the album with "Slowdiving". On the English side, we discover Jadu Heart, a duet signed on Anchor Point, Mura Masa's label, giving the replica on "Invisible". More than perfection, Hundred Fifty Roses resolutely seeks emotion. The album is the musical result of an open discussion in an intimate context, halfway between the live experience and the digital exercise.

Amelie Len's tight-knit techno imprint Lenkse has taken the Belgium scene and beyond by storm, with crew member Milo Spykers reveling in fogged-out cuts with an appetite for power and an affinity towards the gritty soul of techno. Spykers makes his third appearance on the prolific label with the glorious Accelerator EP, ahead of now post-poned sets at the acclaimed Tomorrowland and Extrema Outdoor festivals this summer.
Opening with title track 'Accelerator', a no-nonsense booming kick drum and acidic licks make for a colossal track that teases the 90s whilst remaining future forward. The B-side only builds on the cosmic energy; 'The Debris' turns to the melodic, employing infectious synth work and languid vocal inflections. Spyker's flair for sprawling sound design is felt throughout, coming to fruition on the hypnotic 'Heads Tilted Back', featuring creeping percussive elements, psychedelic riffs and an indisputable groove.
Three cuts destined to ignite the dance floor with Spyker's consistent intensity, the record is an intoxicating listen.

This previously unreleased material dates from 1997 -1999, recorded live to cassette in a feverish burst of creativity, utilizing a small arsenal of classic techno tools inc uding the Roland TR-808, TB-303, Juno-106, and his beloved SH-1 01. What's astonishing about RX-101 is the sheer volume of diverse and stunning material recorded in just 2 years. Fans of Aphex Twin's Analogue Bubblebath and Caustic Window series will rejoice in the authentic early-90s Rephlex-ian burst of "EP 1.' From the eerie, isolationist-rave stomp of opener 'Tunnel,' to the emotive, primitive electronica of 'Bloom(pt.1),' through to the majestic, ambient melodicism of closer 'If I Could Ever Get...,' the 6 tracks found on 'EP 1' serve as an exciting introduction to RX-101' s treasure-trove of vintage Rephlex-style electronics.

Sotto Voce is a new project from duo Luke Fowler & Vikki Morton, commissioned by Glasgow gallery The Modern Institute in collaboration with record label Redstone Press.
The EP considers the relationship between the natural world and technology and references the pedagogical work of artist Paul Klee, who taught a holistic course on drawing at the Bauhaus in the 20's. Klee drew greatly on shapes, forms and cyclical patterns, studied and observed from nature.
The minimalism of Sotto Voce's "Klee" shares these pre-occupations, but applies them to synthetic rhythms and timbres with the use of an EML 101 Analogue Modular Synthesizer, creating haunted dub mutations, foreboding ambience and melancholic meanderings in a piece of work that reflects the dark and barren Argyle landscape in which it was composed.
The EP also features a guest spoken word vocal by artist Charlotte Prodger who conjures a meditation on Neolithic archeological findings on the Western Isles of Scotland.

After resurfacing in 2017 with Chicago Bee Records, label owner Mark Churcher has received a steady stream of interest for his old label Emote and band V-Neck (co writer Doug Martin) The repeated interest of the 90s label has sparked this re issue.
Now a monstrous 25 years old it would appear this record is still very much appreciated by the few that bought it at the time. And until now extremely hard to find with only 500 pressed in 1995
Side A fuses ambient, dub and techno at a time when this sound was still developing as a sub genre.
Side B leans more towards dark electronica and techno

The MINDFULNESS HIPERNORMALISATION album itself marks a new turn in Eduardo's work, breaking away from any musical style or stereotype and always trying to seeking freedom of expression, marked also by a strong connotation of voluntary ostracism.A new stage in which Eduardo uses this double vinyl like a tool to mark a distance with the current international scene and also support the Adam Curtis theories shown on his acclamed documentary "The HiperNormalisation" 2016 . The album show influences that goes from romantic ambient melodies to the most complex and experimental electronica, also including easy listening techno where it is difficult to differentiate the line between techno and ambient.
Francois Kervorkian,DJ and official engineer of albums belonging to Depeche Mode or Kraftwerk, gives support to this great work of Eduardo which will remain in the near future and without any doubt as a cult album.
After the reissue of Iury Lech - Musica Para El Fin De Los Cantos, Berlin based Cocktail d'Amore Music is proud to present a collection of remixes and reinterpretations of the mighty album. Japanese rising star Powder is first up to deliver her take on Barreras. The minimalist dreamscape catches its rhythmic reshape, becoming an underwater deep-house/deep- techno dance floor experience. On the same side Suzanne Kraft contributes with a rather cinematic vision on Cuando Rocio Dispara Sus Flechas. Hatchback opens up the B-side with an evocative version of Posmeridiano. The Californian producer gives a touch of sunshine and open air to the landscape of the original song. Closing the EP Ukrainian producer Zavoloka reinterprets Ukraina with a vortex of three-dimensional sonic layering.

Following up his single "Golden Shot" Nick da Cruz is now presenting his second release on rotraum Music: "Trump", a 4-track 12 inch vinyl record that leaves no wish unfulfilled. The original version is a loaded Boogie Techhouse gun, which is way beyond competion and will stand any peaktime test. Let's go! Please also fasten your seatbelts for the "Trump" remix provided by Ricardo Motta. Ricardo's remix is a little bit more laid back than the original but not less punchy. The B-side starts with a remix by eaRWaX which will make you feel more than comfortable on every Deephouse floor in the world. Although being playful sometimes, the eaRWaX remix is aiming strait at the target and is grooving itself right through the night. This great 12 inch record is made complete by a Jackob Session remix, who is providing a chillful House Track made for dancing and dreaming. Any DJ who has this "Trump" in his, or respectively, her case will certainly hold all the aces.

Transcendental Movements Vol. 1 marks the beginning of a new full-length ambient series, curated by IDO founder Valentino Mora. Since the age of 14, Mora has been searching for alternative tools to relieve anxiety. In 2016, he discovered the music of Marow and Olaf Tonstein and found that through listening to this particular music he was able to access a new state of meditation. This began the journey of researching the technique he calls 'active mediation'. When he discovered that a lot of Marow and Olaf Tonstein's music from 2009 had never been released on vinyl, he knew he needed to release it one day. In their work, Mora identified a feeling pertinent to the concept of the label, one that exemplified the connection between minimal/ambient/glitch and IDO's ambient house sound. From there he reached out to other artists that he felt could relate to this idea, and asked them to contribute a track in response to the concept. The resulting compilation varies in tempo and technique, illustrating each artist's idiosyncrasies, yet as a whole it forms a cohesive and potent statement. Active meditation differs from regular stationary meditation through the focusing of one's attention on sound whilst in motion -- the form this motion takes is personal. The goal of active meditation is to transcend one's awareness of motion -- in fact, the awareness of being in a body -- and to become absorbed entirely in the sound. Mora found that this process has the potential to ease anxiety as all conscious thought is alleviated through concentrated focus on music. For the cover artwork, Mora selected a painting from visual artist Raphael Lecoquierre, in which the movement, airiness and minimalism elicits a profound sense of calm. Mora also invited writer and artist, Lou Drago, to interpret the concept in words. Their text, Suspending Reality, features on the inside of the gatefold cover.

What were the skies like when you were young? These days, asking that question likely conjures disappointment in its answer. Dreams of possibility hardened by certainty. Hopes and prayers jet-cooled to brittle acquiescence. A lingering feeling that this is not what we asked for, not what we worked towards. Promises of the future replaced by sins of the father. It is in this particular light that the latest work, "Moscels," by Iranian artist and musician Ata Ebtekar, also known as Sote, arrives on Opal Tapes, British label for the sonically curious and aurally disaffected. Contrary to potential expectation, it features no rhythmic exhortations, no colloidal outbursts, and no acoustic instrumentation of any kind. Synthesized entirely from physical models and oscillators, whose union gives the record its name, "Moscels" is a haunting, beautiful, and auspicious listen. None of Ebtekar's work comes necessarily easy to the listener, but "Moscels" is suffused with a sense of wonder almost childlike in quality, and so it beckons kindly. In acertain sense, electronic music is a kind of magic, isn't it? And this is the sound of a magician at work. Dive into the sound of an otherworld, so close yet so far, where dreaming is less sweet than being, and where all that is possible remains still at hand.
"Goodbye Rubens is a work dedicated to my old friend, the best ever,
who gave me everything without asking anything in return: my dog." (A. Scardamaglia)
The Original Mix is an energetic and intense Deephouse track with groovy percussion but also transcendental moments.
Coming on 12" Vinyl and as digital release, the EP also contains three more interpretations by friends of Andrea:
The "Re-Edit" by Ultimate Breakers, which is more techy and rolling forward, Kenny Dahl´s minimal techno "Hammer Edit"
and the "Last Edit" by Dominik Vogel, aiming at a darker atmosphere.
Now you just have to dance!

Censor announces their first release of 2020 that sees a new entity enter the crew’s orbit - the Electro & Techno assassin: Assembler Code.
After a slew of releases on label’s such as Cultivated Electronics, CPU, International Chrome, Boysnoize, Mechatronica (alongside Jensen Interceptor) & Dance Trax (alongside Alex Jann) Assembler Code brings his signature dystopian machine workouts & off-world electronic technologies to the Censor camp.
Monochrome initialises the release with a powerful, yet claustrophobic lead bass designed for the harder floors, which is driven continually forward through a focused drum workout that Assembler Code is so well known for.
Perimeter Inspection creates deeper contrast on the A-side via ice-laden synths that intrigue and breathe to allow space and time to be torn away from the super-controlled beats.
Generator is the outer on the B, and gets straight to work via an evolving, electric drum sound that arcs, twists and races alongside intuitive bass edits all accompanied via a tripped out vocal ready for the dark rooms.
Lateral Transfer is the final track of the EP and cuts through dimensions one world at a time using a sonic network of vocal triggers, saturated bass elements and hard-wired percussive sounds straight from the Assembler Code mainframe.

The 1990's launched an onslaught of projects and musical influences to a new generation of listeners to a re-emergence of electro. Paying homage to those before, a four-man crew from the east side of Detroit, AUX88, laid down the foundation of the gritty sound of the streets, and made their presence known via urban radio, dance clubs, and overseas venues. The time has come for those who were major influences to add their touch to the continuation of that sonic pallet.
*"MY AUX MIND" (Cybotron Mix)*
Reworked & refined, "The Originator", joins forces on the classic jam. Pumped up by the cosmic bass slaps as the man himself, Juan Atkins, injects his futuristic, cool vocals over this mix's voyage into a funky electro masterpiece.
*"MY AUX MIND" (Original Mix)*
A stark & bold radio hit that brought about the electro revival makes its appearance on this must-have essential. Reminding a new era of its statement to move butts on its own terms. Definitely classic.
*"MY AUX MIND" (Egyptian Lover Mix)*
Rehashed by the "Master of the 808", the Egyptian Lover takes hold of the track adding his signature beats, robotic vocorder vocals, and mythic melodies as if it was his own. A complete dance floor boogie statement to the art by one of the group's heaviest influences.

This February, Rekids look to the venerable talents of Len Faki for three fantastic remixes of tracks from FBK's 2019 debut album, ‘More Stories From The Future’.
For two decades, German artist Len Faki has towered over the techno underground thanks to his renowned DJ sets at cult venues like Berghain, and his always on point productions.
They have come on staples like Ostgut Ton and Cocoon, but mostly on his own powerhouse outlet Figure. Over the years, Faki has provided a number of excellent remixes on Rekids, including Dustin Zahn and Radio Slave himself, thus it’s incontestable that he’s the best person to remix Kevin Kennedy’s incredible album – and the result speaks for itself.
Up first is his ‘Hardspace Mix’ of 'Headless', which becomes a sublime seven-minute techno roller. Utterly hypnotic throughout, it has looped one-word vocals, smooth claps and wiry synth lines all intertwined with perfectly rubber kicks.
The excellent mix of 'I'll Sit Back' builds to a more manic peak, with hammering hits and steel-plated drums all demanding you march to the increasingly dark techno groove as a vocal repeat’s the title over and over. Finally, the mix of 'Hassling' is built on hulking great drums that will rattle warehouse walls, and has dub techno chords draped throughout: it finds a perfect sweet spot between irresistible functionality and atmospheric form.

Returning to Opal Tapes after the highly lauded ‘Royal Dungeon EP’, Medellin, Colombia’s Filmmaker issues a damned statement in the form of ‘Late Stage Earth’ a 4-tracker of scorched electro and slamming EBM. Perfectly poised and composed dance music formed over pointillist electro melody and swung out druggy drum programming replete with wheezing pained pads. Filmmaker continues a tear through 2020 with some of the most tuneful and memorable song writing in electronics
Gang of Ducks welcomes back Haf Haf, whose Notch ep, released in 2014, helped define the early sound of the label. Pattern of chaos is a journey through 8 heterogeneous tracks, where Haf Haf's unique timbre is the narrative voice. The pleasure of the exploration, finding out new places beyond what we're used to, is the main concept of the record. All the tracks sit on a blurred line. On one hand you feel the echoes of different genres, extracts of voices, samples, that you may be familiar with.On the other hand these tracks take a final shape you're not used to, making each one of them hard to label. Every track feels like observing a planet through a window, which filters the landscape while at the same time reflecting the image to the observer.Pattern of Chaos is a really singular record, which moves energies in a new way."

a t (Lena Platonos) is a Greek musician, pianist and music composer. Her third solo album, 'Lepidoptera' was produced in 1986 and reissued by Dark Entries in 2018. Inspired by a scientific book on butterflies she found in a trashcan one day, the compositions follow minimalistic motifs and carefully-staged soundscapes. Lena narrates each song in deadpan fashion, skillfully reciting her surreal Greek poetry.
We've recruited 4 contemporary Greek producers to remix their favorite tracks from 'Lepidoptera'. First up is 'Cyaniris' remixed by Anatolian Weapons who delivers an enchanted late-night journey through the New Wave forest. Next is 'Araschnia Levana' remixed by Pasiphae who speeds up the pace with machine driven melodic electro pulses. On the B-side we have June remixing 'Cyaniris' twirling the track into a complex deep sea dive with lush drum kicks and pads. Closing out the EP is a remix of 'a Gee´a ´ Aporia Maturna' by Morah who leads us to the underworld of Hades via sinister squelches and full-on apocalyptic rave breakdown. All songs have been mastered for vinyl by George Horn at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley. The jacket is a reinterpretation of the original 'Lepidoptera' cover, isolating the illustration of the butterfly/woman designed by Eloise Leigh.
Superb ep meeting of variosu sounds of Tribe, pumpin and hardtek. Quiet minimal and thin... A plus !

Luar Domatrix (Rudi Brito) is perhaps more recognizable as half of the artsy-duo Yong Yong that emerged in 2012. After a long season spent in Glasgow, and with editions by Naivety (Naive’s sublabel of Inês Coutinho aka Violet) , Sucata Tapes (Discrepant) and with a track inserted in a VA from 12th Isle, comes back to Lisbon (his hometown) clearly soaked by the sounds of the Scottish industrial center.
“Baía Stamina”, produced in Glasgow, is strongly inspired by the local club scene and evokes the utopia of a heavenly bay somewhere in Italy. Although always looking to bend the barriers of that “squarish” side of dance music, “Baía Stamina” is a dance record. It starts with “Bo Teias”, a track full of percussive elements and unusual sound effects that presents itself as a hymn of the “Baía Stamina” - pure boilling energy. “Take” is the least functional theme on the record. Metal percussion layers are overlapped over a string, creating a certain unrest and discomfort. A vocal incites consumption ("Take, Take, Take") to the point that a pad clears the way for liberation creating a more relaxing and dreamy ambience.
Closing the A side “Bo Teias” gets a remix from the Glasgow duo General Ludd, with whom Rudi used to live. In this version, and as the name implies, “Bo Teias (Gen Ludd Disco Problem Remix)” moves the focus away from the dance floor, ands transforms itself into a rhythmic exploration over the void, punctuated by some recognizable elements. “Outra Face” is a track made to blow up soundsystems! Anchored in distortion and in a broken beat led by the kick of the infamous TR-808 there is an almost epic vibe to it, that shows the confidence that Rudi Brito has acquired in his relaxed production style. “Heavven” closes the record in a completely British tone. The soulful vocal reminiscent of some garage tracks, echoes Bristol production and a time when dubstep producers decided to lower their bpms to something closer to the house. Without ever rushing the theme moves through different sonic landscapes and electronic glitches until a Portuguese voice announces “Acabou-se a brincadeira” (“Playtime is over”). This is peaktime; it's time to go dancing.
We're proud to announce Intrusion (cv313/echospace) reworks of Phase90's, "Infinitati" an album Boomkat hailed as, "a place to dip your toes in Deepchord/Echospace's oceans of sound, this is it." A night time walk on the wrong side of the street, creepy and ominous in nature as a result of the possessive quality of supernatural textures, field recordings and found sounds conducted at the Calvary Cemetery. Utilizing the original 1/4" tape recordings and individual sounds, Intrusion builds on the foundation steps further, using the mixing board as the primary instrument as well as, tape splicing, 12 bit loop stations and other audio wizardry. The material on this 12" ep can be interpreted as sinistral--dark,, heavy due to the hardware and its currencies emitted by its source--the phase 90. An acidic dream residing somewhere in the ether. Absolutely essential listening and horizontal grooving for the ages!

Superlux is the latest project from Mike Gill, Nick Gynn and Johnny Hunter. With years of combined experience in the
industry, each member brings their own unique flavour to the mix. The end result being the trio's debut release, Superlux
001, on their new imprint: Superlux Records.
The EP begins with Mike Gill’s Noisy Rework of White Noise . A breakbeat style cut that harks back to the early days of dance
music, stuttering percussion and intermittent hi hats help form a track that feels modern yet mature. Chupa Track continues in the same vein, as a mechanical synth rotates alongside echoing calls and robot-esque keys, before Take One ups the tempo as
reverberating pads clunk on top of a slow moving bassline. Rounding off the EP is the Dawl remix of Take One . A similarly eerie number, pulses and beeps merge with choppy breaks to form a futuristic, extra-terrestrial sounding cut.

Incredibly, the five year anniversary of Invisible, Inc. is upon us. Five whole years of bringing you music from the outer reaches and the fringes of obscurity, to the inner workings of your psyche
It seems strange to celebrate this landmark in arguably even stranger times, but perhaps this sort of music is precisely what we need right now. A balm against the stress.
Let's rewind five years to the very beginning. Invisible Inc was started with the aim of releasing music to a wider audience that deserved wider attention. Amongst the new music there was also vast amounts of music previously only available digitally that seemed to vanish as quickly as it appeared...or music that came out on self-released CDrs or cassettes in incredibly small runs; music that deserved being brought out on vinyl to actual record stores worldwide and thus helping those artists widen their fanbase. Thus, connections were made that wouldn't have been made otherwise. It's undeniable that now more than ever, a physical release stands out from the billions of digital-only releases that we can all so easily drown in.
In the five years of its existence the label has certainly grown. I would never have thought that I would release music by such luminaries as Tonto's Expanding Head Band, Laraaji and K. Leimer - all 'veteran' artists with a legacy that I have been in awe of for years.
But as much as there are a few 'established' names appearing on the catalogue now, the ethos of unearthing unheard-of musical gems and getting them out there remains.
V is for Vision is no different. 'Kailash' by Sigward & Oliver Sudden, for instance. Originally relased digitally-only in 2018, it's a stunning piece of dark, downtempo electro with a distinct nod to minimal wave and synth goth that I very proudly present here on vinyl for the first time.
Don’t let that fool you that the label could ever be described as a 'reissue' label. The aim was always to find music that had gone so far under the radar that it would be widely considered as sounding as fresh as the day it was made. And in that respect much of the compilation features artists that are extremely ‘fresh’ at the moment...and this is deliberate. I specifically approached artists who had released some of my favourite music of 2019: Anatolian Weapons, Youkounkoun, Puma & The Dolphin, Golden Bug & In Fields and TCB. These five artists released some seriously amazing music in 2019 that you should hunt down at all costs.
Add to this artists already released on Invisible Inc: Secret Circuit, Sordid Sound System and Double Discone (the former two on board since the very beginning, the latter appearing for the first time just earlier this year) and we have a selection of artists both old and new that I feel widen the span of the five years of the label as much as possible.
Whether any of the background info and the label's ethos makes any difference whatsoever is of course debatable ....the long and short of it is the music is absolutely wonderful and that's what matters. So I'm honoured to be able to share it with you.

Domino are extremely proud to present ‘acts of rebellion’, the debut album from Ela Minus. ‘acts of rebellion’ is a call to fight, to live, to be present. An optimistic, uplifting album, it’s a record of small details and grand gestures, a manifesto of simplicity, a record brimming with life. Colombia-born and raised musician Ela Minus wrote, performed and produced the collection entirely alone. Selfmade and punk in spirit - Ela puts her own spin on traditional electronic music.
She designs and builds hardware synthesizers and, as a self-imposed rule, no sound in her work is generated inside a computer. Creating complex, technical electronic music that exudes a vibrant warmth and a stark, celebratory affirmation that our breaths aren’t infinite. A collection of songs about the personal as political and an embracing of the beauty of tiny acts of revolution in our everyday lives. Throughout, a sense of urgency and a call to arms is mixed with this love and appreciation for reality - because even revolutionaries need to leave space for simple human interaction.

LIRIK is a concept made by Libe & Trik (Lucian Rotaru & Constantin Leonard), two romanian producers who became friends thanks to music it self. Discovering they have the same 'feel' and 'taste' in music they got together and gave birth to these 4 mind-blowing tracks. The minimal sound & breaks with some vocal jazzy influences make this EP unique, original, happy and deep in the same time.

Hailing from Amsterdam, Melawati, also known as Melawati Modular, is a composer, sound designer, avid lover of modular synths, and an experimental live electronic music artist making his debut on Ellum Audio. His beautiful single also features two astounding remixes by the maestro and label head Maceo Plex and melancholic masters Tale of Us.
The excellent 'Daliah' is a smooth and seductive journey through lush melody and productive synth work. Those synths come in various forms, from fluid smears to more pixelated stabs. The restless breakbeats below his humming tunes add to the sense of adventure as you race through the cosmos on the galactic journey Melawati has created.
Maceo Plex steps up to remix, with a version that has tense, textured chord vamps, punchy kicks, and enigmatic twinkling keys raining down from above. It is epic and cinematic and a perfect fit for his always far-gazing label.
Finally, the acclaimed Italian duo treats us with their excellent remix. Tale of US flip the cut into a spacious melodic techno track with dramatic breakdowns, big chord builds, and a cruising groove that will carry the auditor into the next dimension.
This is an innovative, classy melodic techno track of the highest order.

In 2012 Paul Kalkbrenner released the very succesful single - Das Gezabel' from his current album - Guten Tag'. For the inclusion within the brandnew remix album which is ready for summer 2014 the by choice Berliners Pan-Pot picked this track for their remix. After joining Paul Kalkbrenner for his 2013 world tour they deliver a classic piece of Pan-Pot prodcuction which means elegant high-end techno, straight and direct to your head and for the dancefloor. The characteristic melodic lines from the original show up every now and then making a nice counterpart to the heavy bass & beat orgy created by Pan-Pot for this futuristic approach towards techno.

Apollo is a new concept project from me, spread across 3 EPs which throw back to the 90s melodic Techno and Progressive Trance sound. Although my roots are firmly in Breakbeat-Rave, I was also captivated by the big room sound of labels like R&S, Guerilla, Hard Hands and Sven Väth’s Harthouse from that same period of time. My studio is full of old equipment that fuelled that original European sound so I quickly found myself focussing on a bunch of tracks that are heavily influenced by some really special music that often gets forgotten." Debut full-length from Spatial. A Music of Sound Systems is a blur of dub and techno and club music, all abstracted to create a suite of ambient / industrial deconstructed electronics.
UK artist Spatial reveals his debut album 'A Music of Sound Systems' to be released via his own Infrasonic's imprint, the anticipated LP is a culmination and exploration of the raw and experimental sound for which he has become synonymous. Following on from his Emergence series, released across 3 parts in 2015-2016, Spatial's debut album is a step away from the series but also a deconstruction of it, incorporating key sounds as well his new hardware set up, road tested at last years live Mutek performance. Framed by the abstract art movement 'Suprematism' and Russian artist Lissitzky in particular, 'A Music Of Sound Systems' is an audio exploration of space, volume, mass and rhythm as well as an homage to both Caribbean and UK soundsystem culture. As Spatial explains the album is Visceral music that inhabits in a kind of architectural form..the stereo panning in the tracks hints at 3D in a similar way to the work of Lissitzky' With musique concrète and the Darmstadt School both cited as inspirations, Spatial takes ideas of obscuring and manipulating but instead interprets them into more club-aligned compositions. Combining these concepts, album opener 'Doping conductor' mixes tense soundscapes with crackling synths and a void like sinking bass. 'Proun', a direct reference to Lissitsky, builds with escalating ominous intent whilst 'Quiddity Dub' draws heavily on Spatial's dub roots. 'Walking off' is a turning point on the LP as a vast and deserted ambient landscape materializes before 'Routine conflict' combines distorted noise with echoing and apprehensive synths. 'System I' quickens with visceral scratches over a brooding siren like call before 'A Music Of Sound Systems' closes out the LP with an eerie and staggered melody, rumbling outwards. The split production location between his hometown of London and the Canary Islands is reflected in the contradiction of moods in the album. Juxtaposing the intensity of urban life with the idyllic rural settings of La Palma, the album conjures harsh grey and industrial scenes alongside softer ambient tones offering up moments of respite.

Synkro handpicks three great producers to remix tracks from his ‘Images’ album. Claro Intelecto has been releasing consistently on point deep techno and electro since 2003. His remix is perfectly equipped for dancefloors in 2020. Sad City represents R&S offshoot Meda Fury with a trademark hypnotic beatdown workout and Apollo label mate and collaborator Sieren ramps up the emotions for his remix of the title track.
Eagervision is back with a bang a year after its first vinyl-only release. This new compilation pushes the quality even higher, merging four top-notch tracks from some of the label’s top producers, each one bringing a special touch to it while following a common leitmotif of crisp, futuristic, house beats.
Alffie has been perfecting a fresh and original minimal sound that is exemplified in the opening track “Be Bop”, a flawless piece of quality modern house music. The energic A-Side continues with ‘Directionless’ by Leeds’ producer Pük, a middle-of-the-night microhouse tune that feels ready to smash the dancefloor.
On the B-Side the sound gets calmer, but also deeper. The affirmed Romanian producer Octave dives deep in a collaboration with a new face for Eagervision, Specter, while the Italo-Romanian duo Nedeea close the LP in style with the mysterious ‘Suflet’.
There’s no doubt: Eagervision is taking it to the next level, perfecting its sound and contributing to innovating the scene by telling a story with every single release.

Glorious third album by Call Super; his first for Anthony Naples’ Incienso, following the label’s amazing DJ Python side with an immersive suite of shapeshifting sound design and needlepoint
rhythm programming
In the works for three years, or roughly since ‘Arpo’, Call Super’s third album moves his production tekkers to the next level. It incorporates stronger influence than ever from prevailing outernational rhythm currents, as well as stark modern classical and post-rock styles, to feel out a lushly organic and emotionally personalised sort of ambient dance ecosystem, one teeming with detailed and bedevilling production which gives voice to his most curious and inventive musical urges.
The level of nanometer-tight, obsessively filigree detail to his work here is just dead impressive, leaving no second sparing for movement in 10 succinct parts that add up to an ingenious, fractal mosaic of all his previous ideas, and then some. This new approach can be summed in the title and aesthetic of album opener ‘An Unstable Music’, where shards of metal guitar, icy piano droplets and bursts of concète texture set scattered coordinates for what’s to follow; taking in crystalline 2-step in ‘Pleasure For Pleasure’, and a tight dembow mutation of shine-eyed ‘90s AI in ‘Opperton Swim’, before it turns deep with his murky collage of chamber-like strings and strung-out vox in the ‘Mouth Bank Bed’, and the likes of ‘Sleep All Night With Open Eye’ push into a gloomy but humid sort of phantasia that sweetly contrasts his radiant webs of insectoid patterns recalling Beatrice Dillon’s amazing ‘Workaround’ album in ‘Ekkles’, and the switch between deliquescent arps and frayed vocals that wrap up the album in a wickedly puzzling knot.

12inch release of highly sought after Colored Music edits by Tokyo's, Chee Shimizu (Organic Music). The two cuts originally featured on the the bands seminal self titled album (from 1981) that remained a cult DJ secret weapon, for many years, all over the world. This heavy EP includes an alternative version of 'Heartbeat' that featured on the Japan only "Individual Beauty" LP of 2018 (also compiled by Shimizu)
Shanghai’s forward-facing Svbkvlt turn out a killer surprise drop from Hyph11e and Kode 9 after their raucous Gooooose & Dj Scotch Egg throw down Last spotted on a body-spinning split session with Slikback for Hakuna Kulala/Svbkvlt in 2019,
Hyph11e’s Tess Sun renders her most polluted atmospheres over panel-beating mutant techno rhythms in ‘Barnacles’; spending the first half fulminating amorphous, cranky sound design before
emerging from the chthonic murk with a foul head of industrial bashment.
As an avowed fan of Svbkvlt’s aesthetic, and a regular visitor to their region, Kode 9 is the ideal candidate to rework ‘Barnacles’, refitting it with signature wavey top line and recalibratiing the rhythm to a hybrid of rolling mid ‘90s hardcore breaks, nippy 2-step, and glyding UK Drill bass graffitti that firmly marks up his first outing since 2019’s ‘Digging In The Cart’ reworks of Japanese computer game soundtracks.

Brianna Price turned plenty of heads when, earlier in 2020, she swapped out her well-worn B.Traits moniker for the new title of Baby T. A change of name also signalled a departure from the booming techno-centred sound Price had been pedalling as B.Traits - she promised, all guns blazing, that Baby T was about 'hardcore junglist shit only'. The project's debut drop, an EP for Samurai Music entitled Portra, put that manifesto into action, running the gauntlet of darkside drum 'n' bass, ardcore soundsystem techno and dark ambient.
From the whip-crack electronic drums which usher in Baby T's second record I Against I it is apparent that we're in for another wild ride. Emerging here via Central Processing Unit, Price meets the CPU sound halfway on I Against I's A-side, delivering two super-snappy broken-beat electro joints which both have a malevolent, dystopian edge to them. The levels are high from the off, with opener 'I Wish' fronting nasty, high-wire machine-funk that draws its strength from the Bunker, Djax-Up-Beats and BPitch Control sounds. 'Acid Science', another helter-skelter melange of needling synths and vocal licks, follows. Though this track's title may promise acid, the snaking bassline refuses to lock fully into the perpetual-motion madness of a TB-303. Instead, Baby T chops the lick up to move in and out of the drums, an effect that has one thinking of Cardopusher.
'Estrogen Attitude', the tune which kicks off I Against I's second-half, is an even headier brew. The intro skulks and broods, a pulsing kick-drum and intermittent 303 whirring in a cavernous atmosphere. You get the sense that something is brewing, especially given that the tempo has increased to junglist speed. However, when the breakbeats do enter Baby T opts to lurk rather than strike, locking into the sort of murky drum 'n' bass roll that wouldn't sound out of place on the UVB-76 imprint. This is jungle to shadowbox to.
The vibe of 'Estrogen Attitude' is inverted on EP closer 'We Could Disappear'. Beginning with a grainy, mournful ambience that recalls Biosphere and Kevin Martin, the track gently unfurls with the introduction of synthetic strings and muted breakbeats. If 'Estrogen Attitude' was indebted to Metalheadz, there is plenty of Goldie's more grandiose soundscaping running through 'We Could Disappear'. At the end of the track, the atmospheres dissolve to leave only the hum of sub - both a reminder of the bassweight principles that drive the Baby T project, and also representative of how I Against I has progressively etherised itself across its four tracks.
Baby T's Central Processing Unit debut I Against I tackles dystopian electro, impressionistic drum 'n' bass and dark ambient, all while adhering to junglist principles. This is a brave new world for both the artist and the label.

Producer & DJ Mall Grab has announced his new EP 'How The Dogs Chill, Vol. 1', on his brand new imprint 'Looking For Trouble.' The new release arrives ahead of Mall Grab's upcoming 'Looking For Trouble' tour, including a London headline show on 6th October at E1.
The 25 year old's latest record follows one of last summer's biggest house releases - 'Pool Party Music' on DJ Haus's ever-excellent Hot Haus Recs, as well as a collaborative EP earlier this year alongside Loods on Steel City Dance Discs, the label he runs with his friends Jarred Kennedy and Jackson Fitzsimmons. Having emerged in 2015 with the infectious 'Feel U' EP, the strength and evolution of Jordon's productions has firmly established him as one of dance music's most exciting talents.
The new EP arrives in the middle of another busy period for Mall Grab. Having played well over 100 shows in the last year, he just curated the London event Long Live Southbank - a one off fundraiser party supporting the restoration of Southbank's hallowed Undercroft skate space, which was streamed by Boiler Room. Having grown up skateboarding the event's cause was a particularly special one for Jordon. About to embark on his much anticipated 'Looking For Trouble' tour throughout September and October and with more shows through November & December in Japan and Australia, Mall Grab will close out 2018 on a high.

Working with sonic archetypes rather than genres, in recent years Moscow's Pavel Milyakov has transcended the average practices of what one might call "the electronic music scene" and built his personal artistic universe where the visual and time-based arts are blended into one another. His new conceptual album PSY X, a collaboration between Gost Zvuk and Buttechno's own imprint Rassvet, can be understood as a collection of audio, video and graphic documents fused together in a homogeneous form. Profoundly rethinking the interactions between various media, Pavel utilizes a vast variety of creative tools and technologies - from generative music algorithms to laser equipment - to create (in)determinate "environments", rather than simply "tracks" or "pictures". The result is simply stunning: a meticulously crafted visual container that encases kinetic, alluring and deeply immersive music from one of Russian burgeoning scene's most vivid voices.
"Following release on Furthur Electronix, Computer Controlled, AC Records, Lunar Disko, Seagrave, Alphabet Set & more, Irish producer Cignol makes his debut outing on 20/20 Vision with 'Past Futures'. The four track EP serves up potent break beat electro with razor-sharp acid tinges, deep baselines and atmospheric synths.
Cignol's ability to craft emotive soundscapes is exemplified on the opener 'Past Futures' with deep electro groove 'Virtual Array' following up on the A-Side. On the B-side 'Gantm' & 'Lessoned By Lessons' lift the tone into lighter spaces whilst still unfolding emotive melodies and driving break beat grooves.
