In spring of 2012 Niederflur will add their latest statement to contemporary electronic music with another classic
album format on Snork Enterprises called "Wellenreiter". Here you find a collection of nine tracks ranging from
deep to driving. The title of the record means surfer in literal translation but what is expressed is something
Niederflur have always been doing: riding their own wave and bending genre-sounds as far as possible. On this
album you will find pieces of experimental breaks and lush ambient right next to straight Techno.

and a live mix CD which contains new versions of all album tracks plus the three tracks of the 2011 release

Baaz from Berlin gives us further insight into his diverse musical interests with his 'Two (For You)' EP on Office. As the title suggests the talented producer splits his musical activity into two genres on this record: One is deep and moody Techno with a knack for strong sub bass and soft pads. And the other one is striking Ambient with a wonderful appreciation of moving melodies and mellow chords combined with touching vocal parts. What is remarkable how well these four carefully building tracks go together and how effortless they further underline Baaz' artistic vision of reduced and understated electronic music which unfolds slowly but emphatically. A respectable new record which is well worth opening yourself to.

In the first release of NVDA, the music takes its cue from the mythological, natural and architectural features of the lake and city of Nemi, the whole summed up in 4 tracks between jungle, techno and ambient. For the record sleeve, NVDA traces the mythological imagery recalled by the etymology of its name (Diana Nemorense the pre-Roman goddess of hunting), and its mood, which at times takes a dramatic turn, with the individual tracks transmitting a dark and nostalgic sensitivity.

Bitterfeld is most known for their production of drain-pipes, paper-roofing and their amazing chemical production industry but it's a little known fact that Bitterfeld are also responsible for the production of amazing music. Some 900 years after the city's foundation they've finally found the time to establish a music label to reflect the city's rich musical heritage. The first release comes from Guy Contact. Expect chemical influenced electro, acid and house.

Berlin-based producer SDX drops an album entitled 'Nocturnal' on Sophia Saze's Dusk & Haze featuring remixes from TXTRL founders 138 and Shipwrec producer SC-164.



Georgia-born, Brooklyn-based Sophia Saze set up Dusk & Haze to release 'genre-free' experimental music, exhibited in the label's debut release entitled 'Solace' EP featuring four versatile cuts from Sophia herself and twisted electro and techno remixes from Umwelt and Benjamin Damage. The second release comes
from the enigmatic SDX, a masked artist who's fiercely championed left-of-centre dance music for decades. Crunchy drums and a thumping bassline kick things off in 'MS 04' before Los Angeles duo 138 provide an outstanding remix incorporating a cacophony of raw breaks. Modulated flutters, warped blips and white
noise create 'MS 08', leading into the organic drums and off-kilter arpeggios of '007' until New York's SC- 164 reworks '007' delivering a pulsating sub and distorted vocal chops.

Peter Fonda is a New York based producer, DJ and promoter most notably known for his Drum Machine Circle and Keep Away From Children parties on his home turf amongst a track on a Lives Through Magic double cassette compilation alongside Daphni, JD Twitch, Pantha Du Prince and Patricia. Here we see him make his debut on New York's Parka following on from the first two EP's courtesy of Abu Ashley and Milo McBride.

Roman Lindau is back and in true Lindau fashion delivers three groove heavy, red hot tunes ready for full on dance floor destruction with his 'Acid Bells' EP. The title track 'Acid Bells' fires off with agile percussion before quickly adding an infectious melody and vocal snaps brimming with attitude before finally unleashing a timeless acid hook which solidifies all the elements into a massive, peak time occasion. 'Rough Ride' follows suit but takes a more modish approach with lively grooves and hypnotic, whirling sonics that guarantee a wild floor burner. Wrapping things up is the final track 'I'm Restless' which perfectly balances powerful, four-to-the-floor Techno with moody, uplifting melodies assuring those moments where all eyes are closed and all hands are in the air. Unperson Comes Along With This Fourtracker, full of Massive Soundscapes and Futuristic Rhythms!

With a common language of abstract, modular techno Donato Dozzy and Peter van Hoesen are no strangers to each other's music or studios. 'Storta' has that psychedelic tribal aesthetic that has come to define their most recent live-hybrid performances. Dutch producer Deniro has garnered a more cult-like reputation for his spacey, progressive jams one that has earned him the admiration of Nina Kraviz who recently released his new EP Mendoza on her Trip label. Returning to Dekmantel, Deniro drives a soulful, journey to an intergalactic world that was shaped by the Gods of Detroit - smooth sauce, that Derrick May would surely approve of. Talismann, aka. Guy Blanken, aka. Makam, is the much travelled Dutch producer with a specialty for hypnotic drones, and apocalyptic rhythms. With a much beloved self-titled imprint distributed through Clone, Talismann makes his first foray onto the Dekmantel imprint with 'Aciano', a haunting series of raw acid, and prophetic beats. 'Sexual Frustration' by Matrixxman, is a continuation of the American producer's ever-growing relationship with Dekmantel. With three excellent EPs already released with the Dutch imprint Nubian Metropolis, Sector I: Rhythm, and Sector II: Acid- the latest endeavour by Charles Duff highlights his analogue dexterity, when a soft-pallette of vibrant, almost electro-like sounds.

After throwing their first ever party in the Dutch capital a decade ago, Dekmantel have come to establish themselves in underground music. 2017 saw Dekmantel launch a new festival in Brazil, adding to their Dutch outing in, as well as their Croatian jaunt, Selectors. Going from strength to strength, the label kicked off their, ten-part EP series in March. With one EP released every month, the series has been embracing all the musical varieties Dekmantel has come to represent. Featuring label favourites, along with a whole bunch of new faces, iconic artists, and select debuts, the 10-year series is an, collection of timeless music that embraces everything they’ve done to date, while setting a precedent for things to come.

Yuri Shulgin is a multi-instrumentalist music producer from Tajikistan. His discography includes a small number of releases from the Greek label Modernista and the French Escapade Recordings. Animal Planet is his contribution on Cocktail d'Amore Music. This EP is a live-recorded masterpiece that will lift dance floors into heavenly heights. A1 takes the record title. It's an acid based, genre-blurring piece of music, enveloping and disorienting at the same time. Infinite strings melt together to a constant build up, reminiscent of Steve Reich - Double Sextet/2x5.
Boogie Space feels like the continuation of the previous track, evoking a cloud of glitter in absence of gravity.
Walking starts off the B side. Its funk future jazz-influenced groove is supported by an organic, as bouncy as timeless bassline. While the stripped down Dubby Body goes to deep realms, the outro Recordtake closes this surreal EP.

Appointment008 is an extract of the seminal rehearsals of the Appointment Live Act recorded on ferromagnetic tape. Each side lasts a dozen of minutes and endorses the Appointment Live Act innovative potential.
The Appointment Live Act is not grounded on prearranged phrase or patterns: every performance is unique and unrepeatable. Marieu samples vinyls ad-lib and adds noises and blips with a little Korg monster, John Swing controls the delays and writes relentless drums on a tr-909, Lucretio arranges emergent structured on an analogue sequencer,EMG plays out this structures from an insurgent Vermona Perfourmer and explores the sonic spectrum with a German grainy filter. Distortion, saturation, improvisation, breaks, funk and techno: the Appointment Live Act goes beyond minimalism to reach out the inner functions of the waveforms transmission.

The Appointment program was launched by Marieu, EMG, John Swing and Lucretio in the early 2010. They started to record coarse functional hardware compositions in the cursory sessions they were able to set up when all the four could summon in the same city. After a couple of seminal releases on LiveJam Records and an official remix made for Moodyman on Decks Reworx, they decided to start their own imprint, with bare handmade ink graphichs on thier white labels and with spare press information and media promotion. To celebrate their 10th release, they have decide to tell the world who they are cutting on vinyl their personal reinterpretation of a live session recorded at the Restoration heaquarters. From Lucretio's post-rave techno, to EMG shrinked deep-house, through Marieu's breakbeat-electro science to John Swing's overloaded hip-house, what you find on this 12 is a true dedication to the sonic quest.

Back in 1995 while living on the West Coast, at the peak of the Rave Experience, Dj Spun and Dhyan Moller recorded a bunch of live tracks, without any sequencer, all direct to cassettes.
Spun aka Jason Drummond, reached out last spring after rediscovering all the cassettes and asked us if we'd be interested in releasing some of the tunes.
Jason shipped us the cassettes and after a good transferring session, we decided we had to release all the tracks under a 3LP set. This stuff is fire. We still love DJ SPUN - and Dhyan Moller!

Relative 16th instalment sees label head John Swing back at the controls with a killer four track EP. The title track 'Get Rhythm' comes with Relative's signature gritty house sound in its Original Mix while the Arp Mix shakes peak time dance floors with hypnotic arpeggios and rumbling drums. The B side opens up with a relentless african congas ride boosting the rhythmic section with an energetic afro feel. The "Other Version" closes this meteoric EP with a deep, jackin' cut-throat groove.

Oscar Mulero and Christian Wunsch joined forces again as Spherical Coordinates to work on the upcoming PoleGroup release and came up with four new cuts of futuristic deep space techno.

Spiros Kaloumenos has been one of the key artists of Planet Rhythm at an earlier stage. This time he's back with a completely recrafted style that perfectly fits the label's current state of mind. Adventurous Techno with thumping beats and at times a little acidic touch. The Greek artist comes up with a killer four track EP that goes from the sturdy beats of 'Introvert Shadow', through the acid tainted '101 Reasons'to the rave inspired anthem called ''De Forme''. Bade Records launch the first vinyl release on the label, with a four-track EP by label co-founders Brothers Black and Tape Fear.

'2x2 Series 1" is a split vinyl, showcasing the individual styles of the duos. Brothers Black kick off the A1 with 'Extrasensory', a shimmering tool with luscious, uplifting pads and a looping lead. Their second contribution on the A2, 'Late Night Call', is a driving euphoric weapon, perfect for the early hours of the morning.

On the other side, Tape Fear showcase their unique sound for the first time. 'Jump System', the lead track, provides a complex blend of old-school breaks, euphoric pads and vocal samples that will be received well in any setting. 'Turn That thing off' offers something different with a fierce 808 groove and unsettling acid lead, perfect for the early hours.

Vinalog's new EP on Relative delivers raging club music with 4 cuts balancing the UK and Berlin sound with a masterful touch. The two mixes of 'Flashback' on the A side provide raw, nasty house with a punchy groove and luscious vocal samples. B side sees two variations of the same motif: 'Recall 97' has strong UK bass heavy influences with an acid touch and spanish-mumbling vocals, while 'ReDub 97' is a more stripped down version of the latter able to deliver for the dance floor with a more broken-beat rhythmic pattern.

After reissuing Stanislav Tolkachev's masterpiece Blue Mood, the Intergalactic Research Institute for Sound comes back with two fresh pieces from Georgian artists Zesknel and Irakli.

Following a strong start with / DE - Sounds From Georgia, this new record explores a more abstract electronic music.
Zesknel, who is a resident of the renowned Bassiani Club, collaborates here with Irakli on two dreamy and airy soundscapes which aspire to depict and recreate the atmosphere of the Georgian capital. To do so, they asked for the help of Rezo Glonti who proceeded to make field-recordings in Tbilisi. This work served as a base in order to create something unique and true to the city.

The project is part of a sound installation which aims to blend architecture with sound. The idea of the two artists was to conceive a space where they could translate the spirit of Tbilisi. Inside that space will be found works exhibited by other Georgian artists. And this is all part of the exhibition 'Lara Protects Me. Eine Georgische Erzählung' at the Museum Angewante Kunst Frankfurt (opening September 20).

E-Missions co-founder P.Leone returns to Radio Slave's Rekids this September with 'The My Lita Project' backed with remixes from Mark Broom.Originally hailing from New York, P.Leone now resides in Berlin where he helms his E-Missions imprint with releases from himself and co-founder Caiazzo, exciting new artists like Rush Plus and Tred, not to mention remixes from Young Male, Spencer Parker and Lawrence Lee. Leone has also dropped a variety of releases on Rekids and Work Them Records, when not making regular appearances at clubs like Tresorand ://about blank. He now returns to Radio Slave's respected imprint with 'The My Lita Project', following up his highly lauded 'El Dorado' EP that garnered support from Ben Sims, Jackmaster and Spencer Parker.
'My Lita' kicks things off with classic synths, piercing strings and choppy vocals slices whilst robust drums march forward. Meanwhile, 'Tight In The Pocket' is more dark and menacing in comparison with its syncopated percussion, echoing claps and ethereal atmospherics. On the flip, Mark Broom drops two different remixes of 'My Lita'; the first is a robust cut complete with disco elements like funky guitar licks and soulful voice, with the original's stabs shining throughout, whilst the second remix takes a different route with its crunchy snares, moaning murmurs and fuzzy effects.

"Since Efficient Space excavated Andy Rantzen's mind-bending 'Will I Dream', the rest of the world has become better acquainted with the darker & dubbier side of one of Australia's rave superstars. We're excited to present a selection of tracks from Andy's incredibly diverse oeuvre, 6 songs that sit somewhere between 80s digital reggae, 90s rave and the horizon of our accelerating future.

"Lifting the Veil" speeds up snappy drum programming and a thundering bassline to breakneck speeds, pitting them against sombre chords and strings, perfectly capturing the reflective headspace of a night drive through babylon. 'Cosmic Vibrations' harks back to the development of fully computerised rhythms emanating from Jammy and Tubby's Waterhouse studios, by way of Erskineville. In the same vein, 'Bedtime for Boo Boo' sees Andy joined on the boards by Sydney dub technician Sheriff Lindo, creating a dynamic digi-dub number that is sure to come alive on any soundsystem worth its weight - a heady showcase for two of Australia's finest reggae talents.

'Magic Lantern' marries a dreamy synthesizer melody with a wicked, subby bassline. If there was a dancehall scene in 'Ferngully', this would've been the soundtrack, with enough low end to really rattle the treetops. On closer 'Dub Generator', a slightly-creepy mechanized voice urges you to 'leave your worries at the door... come and join your friends upon the floor' - an introduction to the dancefloor or an induction into some sinister cult Whatever the message, the dub chords and massive bassline lull you into the headspace where these words take hold."

Seth Troxler's always dynamite Play It Say It label kicks off 2018 with a thrilling three track EP from Heartthrob.
Jesse Siminski aka Heartthrob has long been an essential voice in the global techno conversation. From early EPs and LPs on the influential Minus label via a trio of releases on his own ISNISNT, he has explored every facet of house and techno in great detail. Always conjuring up bold melodies and slick arrangements, this is his first solo outing in a few years and marks a very welcome return.
The fantastic opening track is 'Stop Lorraine (No One's Gunna Stop Mix)', which is eight freaky minutes of busy tech edged house. A rubbery, kinked bassline drives things along while paranoid voices are staved in amongst falling melodic rain, spitting hi-hats and bouncing kicks. It's colourful and off kilter and sure to awaken any dance floor.
The more trippy 'Triangle' then glides along on deeper drums as knotted bass keeps busy down low. It's a quick, slick track with jerky percussion and sci-fi synths that have the same sense of raw energy as Belgium's famous EBM scene. It's a wild one that builds and builds in ever more arresting ways.
The brilliantly unhinged computer game soundtrack that is 'Nairobi Candles (Fuck Rachel Tension Mix' completes the hat trick. Busy pixelated melodies, shooting synths and wonky piano chords all keep busy above a clipped techno groove that cannot fail to get you up on your toes.
These three tracks are perfectly designed dance floor weapons that prove Heartthrob is still one of the best out there. The release is finished off with artwork based on a painting of Jesse's, featuring one of London's best love industry figures in a homage to one of the 70's greatest soul albums.

Mark Henning once again does the damage with 3 perfectly crafted slices of machine funk as he drops Lithium. Easily one of the most active producers in the scene at the moment, Mark always manages to create wholly unique sounding music infused with his own brand of power.

Title track Lithium gets the EP underway with gently filtered, sequenced tones making their presence felt through swathes of reverb and FX before working in straight up percussive elements. Blue Haze delivers an instantly more looped out, old school Techno feel as yet more direct sequences are met with driving hi hats but overall, given a more delicate touch with smooth, ethereal pads. The wonderfully titled Take The Corvette closes out another storming release from Henning, taking things down a decidedly more House orientated route. Its foreboding bass line generates an ominous atmosphere and yet more subtle use of FX builds the foundations of a truly individual piece.

Henning never ceases to impress with his releases and proves yet again to be one of Soma's standout artists.

With an uncompromising focus on House and Techno, Eye Shadow is a label set up to showcase artists with a link to the North East of England. Run by The Cleer Consortium, the label aims to bring a spotlight over Newcastle Upon Tyne and the surrounding postcodes of Middlesbrough to Sunderland and beyond.

The Cleer Consortium met through the Cleer club nights, which inspired the collective to start a label and collaborate in the studio. Consisting of Suade, Clarke Sawkill, William Welt, and Binni, the four each bring something different to the table.

Suade is a respected mastering engineer and in 2011 collaborated with Magda on their track titled 'Fixation.' Clarke Sawkill is a man of many pseudonyms and his music has been included on a Global Underground compilation amongst other achievements, but in 2014 he decided to start working under his real name for a series of vinyl only releases. William Welt runs two other imprints and boasts releases on labels including Traum Schallplatten. Binni is the founder of the Cleer club night which bought the four together and gave people like Steffi (Ostgut Ton) and Click Box (Minus) their North East debut.

The first release focused in on The Cleer Consortium themselves with four tracks made collectively by the group. This second EP also features four tracks, each one a collaboration with The Cleer Consortium and another artist with routes in the North East's underground music scene. Not all members of The Cleer Consortium where involved in each track. But all had an input into the A&R of selecting the final four tracks for the EP, as there where others that didn't make the cut.

First up is a collaboration with Carl Handley aka Ruthit who is originally from Darlington, but currently resides in Manchester. Carl is close friends with William Welt aka Will Reed and their track titled 'Liquid Debris' is deep techno with a stripped back sound and strong dub influences. Carl took the hot seat and led the track's production, but William's influence can definitely be felt in its dark undertones and unusual groove.

The second track is a collaboration with Jason Wright who is originally from Northumberland. Affectionately described as a Techno Hippie, Jason regularly throws illegal forest raves and warehouse parties with a criminal record to prove it. With a love for Ricardo Villalobos and all things analogue, his track titled 'Sliding Door' was brought to life with Suade's bass line and William Welt's quirky production techniques. Deep and experimental sliding door is a mechanical electronica full of sliding rhythms.

Track three introduces the man of many pseudonyms Clarke Sawkill, along with Steve Legget on their track 'Life Line.' Steve has been involved in the Newcastle club scene since the early 90's and like Clarke is a man of many names, with perhaps his most successful being his ambient focused Four Hands alias. Their track was originally based on field recordings and an Isaac Hayes vocal sample, but with the help of Suade it got twisted into a dark and dancefloor focused slice of Minimal Techno.

The fourth and final track introduces Matthew Sogorski better known to his friends as Soggy. Based in Newcastle, Matthew is a close friend to a number of The Cleer Consortium, and makes his first ever release on this EP, with a track titled 'Panic Attack.' Matthew's original loop was transformed by William Welt, who recording himself whispering into a microphone. Williams's vocal added some creepy vibes to the already dark and tense track. One of the first tracks started for the EP it was the last to get finish, as the group felt it lacked that little extra something. Having already started a second track in preparation of walking away from this one, it was Suade who once again came to the rescue. Blowing the dust off his TB303 for some analogue knob tweaking, Suade worked in some serious Acid, turning the track into a distinctively individual bit of sinister Techno.

Five tracks made of suspended electrical particles and strong grooves."Onar" is a genuine techno track that contains an acid sequence accompanied by various sound weavings."Yapar" is characterized by the combination of various bleep textures, perfectly superimposed on high frequencies raids.The B side represents the introverted world of Syntaxism, made of mysticism and mystery. "Complesso K" and "Processo S" are two hypnotizing, utopian tracks; both ones are the result of the sum of so many electrical layers in continuous transformation. "Ispezione Visiva" is the perfect outro. An elegant, relaxing sequence is fused with excited bleeps and an infinite drone.

Mike Huckaby, Bergqvist, DJ Sports, Raam and LNS remix 'Deep Soundscapes', Takecha's album recently released on Sweden's Love Potion.

Released in March, the album incorporates Takeshi Fukushima's work between 1990 to 2013 and affirms why the producer is such a respected figure within Japan's electronic music scene. Now his compositions have been remixed by some of house music's best, featuring renditions from Detroit's Mike Huckaby, Aniara's Henrik Bergqvist, the elusive Raam, Firecracker and Regelbau's DJ Sports, as well as Wania and Freakout Cult's LNS.

Mike Huckaby inaugurates the release with his sultry take on 'Low Sentiment', blending deep synths with murmuring vocals to forge a proper deep house cut. Bergqvist then remixes 'Rhodes Deep' creating a bouncy minimal cut incorporating the original's scintillating melody alongside meandering percussion and twisted effects, making way into DJ Sports' remix of 'Gradual Atmosphere' with its intricate breakbeat drums and dreamlike atmospherics. Raam then reinvents 'Calm Imagination' taking it into subterranean territories complete with infectious keys, until LNS ties it all together with her mesmerising beatless reimagining of 'Factory 141'.

Written during the homecoming journey from Amsterdam to Detroit, 'The World is Detroit' marks the second full release from Anonym under his DLS moniker, a gloomy yet driving opus of more than 12 minutes. Remixes on the flip from Klakson co-boss and electro icon Dexter and US-to-Berlin associate Kenneth Scott.

Drumcode favourite Harvey McKay returns to the label with a darker new sound. The Glaswegian has been a regular contributor over the years, highlighted by the memorable 'The Illusion of Control' EP in 2014 and his newer work with brother Ryan under the Alias moniker. Earlier this year Drumcode released the duo's 'Pentatonic' EP and featured a mix on Adam Beyer's radio, which included 'Black Dolphin', kickstarting the hype on the track. Named after the infamous Russian prison, the title track is dark, tough, deeply textured brooding affair, with a menacing touch than runs through its core.
McKay then brings in a huge synth line and changes up the dynamic of the track, giving it a powerful and driving feel. 'Retox' is a dark and twisted heavy-hitting cut, driven by aggressive drums and bassline, while a hypnotic synth line sustains a sense of tension throughout the six-minute track.
Concluding the package is 'Cover Up', a fantastic stripped back exploration into dark atmospheric techno territory that's tailor made for the winter warehouse raving season.

Monotone Boss Larry McCormick comes with a 6 track mini-album with straight up pure Electro goodness. The follow up to his album on Shipwrec entitled Intelectro, Larry McCormick aka Exzakt offers us a more puristic Electro sound that he is known for. Kicked off by "Show The Way" we get that vintage Exzakt sound with crisp 909/808 layed kicks, "One Step Ahead" goes the more melodic route but still keeps the beat moving. "Move Because I Said So" is a fun and funky classic Electro sound. "Creator". Vibes are massive on this riding melodic jam. "Eyes On Me" is a journey, an atmospere with trancy keys and subsonic pads. "Magic City" is a bit of a departure from the normal sound yet still retains the low end.

'Vertigo' is the A side on this four track EP by Roberto Capuano that uses reverberated kick drum's and piano chords to create a groove that was designed for peak-time play. The second track, 'Inversion' uses rising and filtering synths with the use of space and influxes of pitched hi hats and percussion loops to create a 5am track that will keep people rooted to their spot. 'New Chapter' uses a repetitive percussion-like stab to keep the deep atmospheric sounds together over the industrial techno drums.The final track 'Earth' uses phased sporadic stabs to create an interesting groove that compliments the driving drums that are ever present.

Mandala Trax aka Shingo Suwa and DJ Mori is releasing a first EP on Merkur Schallplatten.
Shingo has established the Label in 2008.
DJ Mori is working as resident DJ at suicide circus Berlin.
They often performed at many clubs in the city.
Their first collaboration includes two different versions of rave influenced techno remixes by Anna Bolena.

Anna is Music producer, Promoter and Video maker, she is an underground activist since the 80`s.
She runs the label Idroscalo Dischi since 1999 and since 2005 the Video Production Company Idroscalo Digitale.
They both are working as resident for Button's party at ://about blank.

A1, their very first track, is called 11pm. The main solid synth line features deep kick drums surrounded by dubby industrial effects in the background.
On A2 we find a heavy bottom groove, surrounded by echoes in a dark atmosphere. Hand claps and white noises are driving any techno floor.
The B Side includes two different version by Anna Bolena. She produced some 90's rave structures affected by her experimental senses.

Rekids regular Markus Suckut drops his third album entitled 'Heaven Is A State Of Mind' this September.

When not helming his own imprints, SCKT and Pattern Research, the Du¨sseldorf artist has been releasing on Rekids since 2015 and is now a core member of the label's family. Earlier this year saw the arrival of 'New Life EP', a mesmerising release exemplary of the producer's knack for making imaginative house and techno complete with a compelling groove. No stranger to the long player format having released two albums previously, Markus Suckut returns to Radio Slave's label with a quality nine-track album.

From the word go Suckut's album demonstrates his versatility as a musician, initiating with a beatless intro named 'Escape', before 'Breeze' comes into play with its skipping percussion and loopy atmospherics. Crunchy snares and crystalline synths make up 'Sun's Out' whilst 'Future Is Not Always Bright' drives forward with its sultry low-end, ethereal pads and sci-fi bleeps, leading into 'Take A Break' and its medley of elaborate drums, living up to its name.

'Above The Clouds' is comprised of intricate notes and soothing chords whilst the machinelike 'Orchid' features electro inspired melodies, contrasting to the album's title track, 'Heaven Is A State Of Mind', with its bumpy bass and warping textures. 'Wonderland (Version)' is a ghostly acid cut which suitably closes the album.
