The Dutch label Balans Records returns with it's twenty-first instalment to the series that have previously seen releases by Mike Parker, Drafted & ROD among others. This time Darko Esser's imprint presents a collaboration between Z.I.P.P.O and Kalean, under their 3KZ moniker. Having previously released on Z.I.P.P.O's Fides imprint, 3KZ now bring their powerful four tracker 'Not From Here' on Balans Records.

'Not From Here' opens the EP with its flowing grooves & eerie pads to create a beautiful techno track followed by 'Nature Of Motion' that offers an astral like immersion to the listener with its haunting melodic rhythms. On the flipside 'Circles' & 'Times' switch up the vibe in a more intense & playful mood, resulting in a finely balanced EP of atmospheric driving techno.

Collaborating with producers Cassy holds in high regard is the modus operandi of her newly launched label, Kwench Records. Powered by the finesse of US veteran Pete Moss, the fourth EP dips the imprint into a slicker, more sensual side to house music. And adding fire to the flame is the legendary Ron Trent, who completes the release with a scorching ten-minute remix.

Cassy launched Kwench Records with a burning appetite to create house music with esteemed producers whose careers could be defined by their eagerness to experiment. With her championing Moss's and Trent's productions for years, she approached the fourth release confident that their collaborative material would be dynamite.

Cassy, among hundreds of her peers in the dance music sphere, has been an ardent admirer of Chicago house hero Ron Trent for years. With a huge back catalogue dating back to 1990 it's safe to say he holds a special place within dance music.

Two of dance music's hottest producers coalesce on the latest Hot Creations release. Frank Storm and Matteo Spedicati bring us Gimme Tha Honey, a throbbing three-track EP that gifts us with a rework from Robsoul label boss Phil Weeks.

Frank Storm reveals "this is our first collaboration which was born a year ago in our studio in Barcelona. We share the same passion for our own definition of the ghetto sound, blending fresh and techy vibes.' With this inspiration they weave an almost menacing vocal into the pulsating bassline of lead track Gimme Tha Honey. The Phil Weeks remix brings a slither of light with a shower of synths and warm, bubbling bass. The EP closes with The Long Wait shaking the record into heavier terrain, as the industrial keys are underpinned by a flurry of tough drums.

Frank Storm has been a key player on the White Isle having played at some of the Island's biggest clubs; Space, Sankey's, Pacha, Ministry of Sound and Zoo Project, as well holding down a residency at the night Unusual Suspects. Matteo Spedicati began releasing music in 2006 and has received support from Ricardo Villalobos and Richie Hawtin. Since then he's gone on to work with such high profile names as Joseph Capriati and Mendo, as well as releasing records on an abundance of top labels.

Making his debut on the label, Spanish producer Kuo Climax is welcomed to the Hot Creations fold. A solid two track release that has already been heating up dancefloors across the globe, the talented artist showcases his distinct style and proves why he is hotly tipped for 2018.

The EP opens up with Whyte, a pulsating track with a warped bassline and oozing synths. Two and a half minutes deep it disperses into a breakbeat-esque breakdown that dives back into the familiar 4/4 beat. Title track Nacrem is a smooth roller with an underpinning bass and intergalactic vocal stabs. The EP highlights the Spanish producer's ability to bring balance to his output, providing music perfectly attuned for the floor.

Born in Malaga and now residing in Barcelona, Kuo Climax has released on respected labels such as Knee Deep In Sound, Solid Grooves and VIVa MUSiC. 2018 will see the producer launch his own vinyl-only imprint, LFOFL, that aims to recognise the progress in technology without losing the essence of true dance music.

PAUL NAZCA is back after his strong first skryptom 19, with a huge new techno masterpiece. This is a pure dancefloor and powerfull techno, 3 huge tracks who give us the way that Paul kill us on a dancefloor. It's efficient but he doesn't forget his usual way of puching modern skills. Delsin's reissue arm once again looks to the revered back catalogue of Lost Trax for a second 12" that picks out the best of the anonymous collective's work. The EP features five cuts taken from two highly sought after EPs released on Tabernacle Records in 2011 and 2012. 'The Eye' opens things up with punchy drum programming and the sort of sci-fi effects and synths that immediately take you to a future intergalactic world. It's a weighty but emotional opener, while 'Pulp' is more twisted and urgent, with warped synth sounds and busy, bristling drums and perc all building pressure throughout. 'The Forest' resets the mood with mystic synths and mysterious atmospheres that mix ambient beauty with suggestive skeletal beats. 'B01' then canes through the cosmos on a Detroit electro tip with slithers of synth, swollen pads and crisp hits and 'Dominion' rounds things out in hurried fashion. The restless electro drums pound away as prickly snares and cymbals, blurts of machine noise and sweeping pads all wrestle for attention and keep you on your toes. This is high octane electro and techno designed with metallic precision but oozing plenty of human feelings.

Sanskrit scriptures mention the term vimana as flying vehicles or temples. Consequently, the sound of this ancient UFO has been captured into the grooves of this vinyl record. The soundscapes of Rukma Vimana dig deep into the dirty history of raw and hypnotic industrial techno. Nobody said that spiritual journeys are a clean endeavour. A1 marches forward into the dark lands of dirty drums and urges you to follow it, as it's your duty to dance hard in this life. Flip the vinyl and the needle will tickle your subconsciousness. Excavating deep tantalizing melodies and dusty basslines, one should not get lost in the palace of this unknown god. Closing with a meditative sketch, B2 leaves us puzzled about the vortex of energy we've just been through.

Greek artists ANFS and Sawf curate their labels Vanila and Kafta with primarily their own abrasive takes on Techno. With a strong cult following already in place and label support from the likes of Tommy Four Seven, AnD, Samuel Kerridge, their catalogues contain vital releases. This is the final remaining stock from each release in anticipation of new 12"s from each label.

Sirocco is the second EP by Bruxas, the psychedelic, beat-driven, tropical, house group consisting of Jacco Gardner and Nic Mauskovic, featuring the percussive talents of Jungle By Night's Tienson Smeets. Sirocco features the combined talents of cult retro artist Gardner, and the percussive fortitude of Mauskovic, delving into the world of exotic, cinematic, Balearic-sunshine, that cruises leisurely throughout, and is layered with phazed-out, tropical synths. It's a sound for the summer. Good vibes only please.Following up from last year's Más Profundo EP, Bruxas return with Sirocco, an EP named after the Mediterranean wind warmed up by the sun drenched Saharan sands. Lead track 'Sirocco' washes over like a sea current of dreamy, tribal, synth-wave, flowing and ebbing in mixed colours of a psychedelic haze. It teases of something grandiose, which later appears in the form of a club version. Remixed for some secret island hideaway orchestrated by DJ Harvey, 'Sirocco (Club Version)' builds on the resplendent melodies and driving percussion of the original, adding some foot-tapping, devilish keys and retro-progressive synth lines to add subtle, summery tension and flare. 'Hermes' meanwhile drives along at a casual 100bpm, with a cumbia-styled Casio line, and a jaunty, leisure-like, Latin-groove, and fiesta feel. The final track on the EP, 'Maria's Holiday' has another up-beat, Casio-styled groove, set alongside a poolside party, with bongo-beat rumblings and a disco rhythm. It's the soundtrack to a summer cocktail party, to watch the sun slowly set on a tropical fiesta.Bruxas is the collaborative project between Jacco Gardner and Nic Mauskovic who joined forces while playing in the support band for the 70s James Brown-meets-Black Sabbath act, Witch. Gardner — having firmly established himself as a credible force within the psych-rock community with two solo LPs and a psych-rock sound — and Mauskovic — whose catalogue includes acts such as Altin Gün, and The Mauskovic Dance Band — teamed up in Portugal with their shared love for library music, and 70s psychedelia, naming their new creation Bruxas — Portuguese for Witch. With a featured appearance booked in at Dekmantel Festival, also featuring Tienson on percussive duties, be sure to note that this will be a big year for the retro-party boys.

Talented French artist HØRD releases a five-track EP on Sacred Court, inspired by the 80's Darkwave / Synthwave & EBM sounds.

Berlin-based American producer P.Leone returns to Spencer Parker's Work Them Records with arguably his biggest offering to date, featuring two standout cuts entitled 'The El Dorado EP'.

Upon being discovered by Spencer Parker, P.Leone dropped his first two releases on Work Them Records in 2016. Since then he has continued to rise, launching E-Missions alongside Caiazzo last year before kickstarting 2018 with a four-track techno release on Rekids. He now returns to Parker's renowned imprint with arguably his biggest offering to date.

With its looping vocals and robust drums, 'El Dorado (Bump Yo Ass Off Mix)' is a monster of a track designed to throw dancefloors into absolute revelry. On the flip, 'Dancing To Get You Back' features crystalline synths, purring bass and a medley of breakbeat percussion.

To follow the Lucy remixes of 'The Descent Chapter I', we assembled a collection of our favourite artists to provide their interpretations of tracks from Chapter II. Across the remixes, 4 totally unique creators have re built Pact Infernal parts into unexpected shapes, each one showing a new side to their talent, developed through re-molding the Pact Infernal sonic ingredients

Reissue of one of Amsterdam's most respected producers Steve Rachmad aka Sterac 's essential 1996 Detroit techno classic. Remastered and available with full color Artwork:Sterac is considered an excellent producer and he is one of the Dutch pioneers of Detroit techno, producing this absolute classic back in 1996. On the A side you'll find Osirion, a track built on a classic drumloop layered with Rachmad style arppegiators and euphoric strings. The B side features a more abstract 909 Detroit infused loop, full of heavy synths and percussion. Both tracks have stood the test of time and still sound fresh as ever.

Territory III" should have been the next release on TÉNÈBRE's self-titled artist label. However, as soon as the promo landed, the Cassette Library went on a shameless 'beg, borrow or steal' mission and we are now proud to present WNCL032 - a mind-blowing 4 track EP that successfully blends bass, breaks and techno, peppered with tastefully positioned ambient twists in just the right measure.

In terms of experimental, techno, very few come close to the impact that this UK producer has had on the scene. With a sound that is rarely classifiable, Randomer's Dekmantel contribution is a staggered, minimally-twisted, dark, kind-of-two step, awesome thing. Versatile Records' Gilb'R has found himself an integral part of the Dutch scene since moving to Amsterdam, and brings forth his organic, percussive grooves that have helped define his music, and label to date. Salon Des Amateurs' Tolouse Low Trax provides a seasoned session of amniotic, grizzled, hypnotic post-everything music, that is eerily discomforting and wonderfully pleasurable at the same time. And on the EP's fourth track, Parisian techno wizard, Voiski adds layered organic, futuristic loops that work to stale the progress of time, and space.
To date the 10-year anniversary series has seen new releases by the likes of The Egyptian Lover, Levon Vincent, Gigi Masin, Fatima Yamaha, Burnt Friedman, and many more. Each record is held together by stylistic glue, touching upon the varying facets that come to define Dekmantel as a label, and event series. Along the way, many pioneering artists have been brought under the Dekmantel umbrella, making their debuts on the label - and this, the seventh EP is of no exception, with Gilb'R, and Tolouse Low Trax all releasing their first full tracks with the Dutch imprint, while Randomer and Voiski, having previously released on Dekmantel's UFO techno side imprint, are also brought into the main fold.

Katharsis was originally a regular party organized at the infamous Contact, Tokyo, the home of the electronic music scene in Japan.
In 2017 Katharsis Recordings was launched, with the first release being touted by many in the Japanese techno scene and played by the
likes of DJ Nobu at Dekmantel.The second release will be scripted with another compilation of 4 Japanese artists.

The first on the A side, Mikuni Kaido by head honcho Masafumi Take, is a fresh track that combines nostalgic arps and analogue bass.

The other main member Kannabi's track 'Shoka' on the B side is an abstract rhythmical piece that evolves slowly.

The second track on the A side 'Kirisame' is by a new member O-Ma. A modular synth enthusiast, his unique analogue sounds are a trademark
of his tracks.


The last track on the EP is 'Yoake' by veteran Ryogo Yamamori. The rolling beat and spacey synth sound gradually build up to a climax and
makes this track perfect for the dance floor.

Electronic music label Sheik 'N' Beik announces its new release SNBV013, an EP called Daisy Cutter by JEM. This EP is the third release in their series aimed at celebrating the diversity and history of New York and its boroughs. As Sheik 'N' Beik's hometown and source of constant inspiration, the label focuses on spotlighting and paying homage to the five boroughs of New York including Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn, Staten Island
and The Bronx. Each borough's flag is given a modern and colorful twist via the cover art and design of
each outer jacket. The first release in the series, Manhattan, featured local NYC hero and co-founder of
Voodoo Down Records N'conduit, and the second, Kathisma resident Mr. Dello's Vaadhoo EP. The new EP from JEM, dedicated to The Bronx, opens up with title track Daisy Cutter, which directly sets the tone of the release with a straightforward, dynamic techno, elevated by an eerie, dark atmosphere. It
goes on with Neb, a downtempo second track with a lighter tone that progressively gets back to the initial
mysterious mood and capriciously brightens it with warmer back-and-forth sounds. Next on the 12' is
Semiotic, a third track structured by a clever balance of deconstructed rhythms and sparse acid and synth
melodies in the continuity of the lighter, warmer mood previously built up. The EP ends with Temple, with
a more aggressive accent animated by several lighter melodic layers and a stifled background bass.

Forging a distinctive sound in todays crowded Techno landscape is no easy task. Madrid based Mario Campos aka Kwartz has grown his robust, propulsive sound into one of the most interesting and vital strains of modern Techno. After notable releases for Mord, Warm Up, Pole Recordings, and his own label 'Order & Devotion', we are excited to present a 6 track Kwartz offering for Horo.

Purists will have their desires satiated with the driving, undulating title track and dancefloor favourite 'Altered States Of Consciousness' while the rest of the EP sees Mario take his style into exploration mode. Man Power's Me Me Me label proudly presents a very special new compilation, 'We We We', which will see all profits donated to the vital Help Refugees charity. The release boasts 25 new and exclusive tracks from a wide range of artists both new and established including Pional, Juan Maclean, Shit Robot, Medlar, ASOK, Ian Blevins and more. As well as the full album, two limited, vinyl-only samplers will also be released, with each featuring one exclusive track that is not available anywhere digitally.

The recipient of the albums profits, Help Refugees, is the leading UK NGO in a new movement of humanitarian aid, helping to plug the gaps in services not provided to those displaced by war. The man behind the compilation's concept is Man Power aka Geoff Kirkwood, an established producer with credits for his off kilter mix of house, disco, ambient and techno on labels like John Talabot's Hivern Discs, ESP Institute and Jennifer Cardini's Correspondent.

Kirkwood says, 'I have wanted to do a compilation of this nature for a long time. I'm incredibly lucky, as well as eternally grateful, to know so many talented artists who were willing to donate wonderful music towards this important cause.' The gratitude clearly flows both ways with Help Refugees director Philli Boyle saying 'We are so grateful to Man Power and to all the incredible artists who have shown solidarity with displaced people across the world'.

The superb compilation kicks off in plaintive fashion with absorbing ambient tracks from Ian Blevins, Dharma and ASOK. Pale Blue's 'Eyes' then brings deep and persuasive drums into the picture with thoughtful, sombre synths lingering up top. There is a real beauty to much of the selection here, as demonstrated by more wistful chords on Forriner's lush deep house day dream 'Sunrise in Bensham', while jacking dance floor tackle comes from Pink Skull and Medlar's pumping 909 drums and the pixelated melodic delights of Christophe's rugged, Chicago-indebted jack track 'Winder'.

Man Power himself pops up with an epic nine minute opus that is broad, sweeping house music at its most dramatic and evocative, and Pional's 'Night Charmer' is a typically inventive cut with icy drones and dehumanised vocals. Big hitters like Shit Robot offer a heavy dose of dub house, while 'Quantume Reach' by Juan Maclean (feat Amy Douglas) is gorgeously off beat house with thoughtful chords and spine-tingling vocals with a poignant message.

This is a compilation jam-packed with a broad array of accomplished and standout sounds, and that it is all for charity only makes it an even more essential and welcome release.
The full album is released exclusively via Bandcamp on 4th May in exchange for a 'no minimum' donation to the charity, with the label asking to please give generously.

Mysterious newcomer Banke delivers a profound debut for TOKEN81. The Totem EP's tempered sophistication and clear sense of purpose belies Banke's neophyte status, establishing him instead in the ranks of Token's most experienced artists in terms of skill and ingenuity.Simenon's tense introduction is met with understated, yet unmistakable fragments of Detroit in the form of a hypnotic, high-end glissando, rolling drum work and built-up tasteful stabs. Cheerlead's delicate trill is mimicked and answered in a hypnotic call-and-response over a carefully measured low-end.Totem, the title track, has a traditionalist opening that's purposeful and composed, with Banke patiently building tension through his crafty and artful arrangement. The classic rattling techno stabs of Basic Pain Procedure are reworked into a storming deep quest for the floor - one for the heads, the original was produced by a certain and much heralded UK duo in their early years of operations Len Faki takes the haunting, bare bones of the original and modifies it gracefully, resulting in this high-end reprise. Emerging from the hazy echoes of a late 90s rave in the UK, by way of Chicago, the classic synth line could be the epitome of a genre that seems to live on timelessly without borders or the need for hype - Dub Techno Spirit 2015!

Since making their debut on the imprint in 2013 with 'Blue Aconite', the Italian duo Hiver has since released two more EPs on Curle; 'Same Mistake Twice' in 2015 and 'Soundescence' last year. Since the release of the latter mentioned EP, Hiver have been busy behind the booth, performing in the UK, China, Germany, Holland and, of course, in Italy, where they still hold a residency at DUDE Club. Kicking off the EP is 'Elipse', a stunning four-minute track that nods to avant-garde artists such as Wolfgang Voigt's GAS alias or Brian Eno, as the pair gradually weaves several layers of shining, atmospheric tones before slowly fading into the background. Title-named track 'Air Castles' follows, with the tight selection of drums combined with the ebb and flow of soaring synths creating a melodic style of techno that has become synonymous with their name. Next is 'Aleutine', a song that similarly blends Hiver's characteristically ethereal, hazy synths alongside more vibrant analogue bleeps to great effect. These delicate synths are later given the chance to gleam as the track comes to a close.Closing this excellent four-track EP is deep-groover 'Leisure', seeing Hiver up the tempo through their clever use of percussive elements, sharp synths and headstrong drums.

Induction's Remix EP can be considered as a true Ravage family affair. The EP starts and ends with takes on Theological Explanation; Tadeo delivers an hypnotic version with a lot of drive, and - it may sound counterintuitive - Zadig dives into the deep as well, with an outstanding, euphoric and ethereal mix. Both tracks turn out to be quite true-to-self reworks of the offbeat original. On A2, Birth of Frequency altered the ambient intro Epitrachelion into a soft, melodic, functional electro track that oozes refinement and a bit nostalgic comfort.

The B-side starts with As Patria's signature sound, giving a new interpretation to a previously unreleased production called Oxygen Swamp. Melancholic hisses, softly rattling hats and light synth-work all contribute to the overall feeling of their remix. The same goes for Samuli Kemppi, who took on Back in my Amnesia, giving it the ghetto-house-treatment, indulged with rave influences.

Justin K Broadrick puts his club foot forward for Downwards on four trampling techno bombs gathered under the Exit Stance EP. With no prizes for guessing what the title is about, the Godflesh/Jesu/Final bloke further girds us against broken Britain's grim future following his Suicide Estate 2LP for Hospital Productions.
This is some of Broadrick's most direct, primitive, and ruggedly impactful gear, forged in the belly of the black country with charred traces of late '90s Brummie techno edged by sparingly used daubs of patented, pollutant synths and plasmic dubbing.
A-side; he offloads the rollicking hydraulics of Exit Stance, a rallying charge of tribal bass drums and cranky percussion from the Female/Regis skool, whilst the droning, beat-less squabble of Motivated By Jealousy takes an acute measure of blighty's radgy pulse.
B-side; his Bullied By Love comes off as a grimacing answer to Ancient Methods' industrial steppers, then Caveman goes on like a chips 'n curry sauce-fed analog to Muslimgauze-via-Vatican Shadow vibes.Aye, we're all fucked. But at least we can dance about it with JK Flesh..

Amsterdam's LET Recordings is back for a sixth release, titled 'Communication', this time by Jon Hester. Hester hails from Chicago and Minneapolis, and is now based in Berlin. EPs on Dystopian and Rekids SPX have established him with a loopy and hypnotic techno sound that fits perfectly with LET.

The record begins with 'Aloe Drink,' a tune, which, like the beverage it's named after, is both specifically familiar and vaguely mysterious; it begets questions of origin despite its appearance of recognizability. Built around an acoustic, earthy drum pattern, it kicks off feeling fast-paced, propulsive, but this proves illusory when aqueous pads push into the frame and lend the piece a calm stillness.

Force of Nature (DJ Kent and KZA), making a rare appearance as remixers, preserves the original's intent and architecture while managing to find a way to subtly lift it in energy and register; extra drums and an augmenting synth lick ease it into a territory of dance floor functionality. A version as rousing and bumpin' as it is intimate and tender.

On the other side is 'Friend' and 'Strange Plant,' a harmonious pair that reflects the A-side's vibe as it refracts it into a spectrum of new hues and spaces. 'Friend' is a kaleidoscopic trip through time-warping trance, and 'Strange Plant' a sharper, punchier song that takes keyed-up rave chords and gives them some heart, some soul, by removing all the artificial drama they're normally consumed by.
A cleverly crafted and sincere, sweet record that telegraphs a wink of irony as it carries you through a vortex of technicolor fractals and flickering embers.

Lowfish is back! The electro veteran, who's been programming 808s since the early '90s, returns to Suction Records, the label he co-founded and debuted on in 1997, for his first release since 2011. This is suction046 - the 'Hypersensitivity' EP. It's been a while, but as the sprinkling of Lowfish compilation appearances - on labels like Analogical Force and Fundamental Records - over the intervening years have shown, Lowfish isn't interested in radical changes; it's all about quality and consistency. Flawlessly produced 808 drums, meticulously processed for maximum slam, combine with Lowfish's trademark synthesizer melodies and heavily-manipulated dialogue samples... best heard on standout cuts 'Apr294ms' - a melodic techno/electro dancefloor killer - and 'Favourable Reports' - a slice of 808 synthpop with melodic nods to vintage OMD and Gary Numan.

Heady, astute, deep techno and ambient from Blue Veil, a new musical project from Danny Clancy. Blue Veil's debut EP reveals gorgeously textured techno on tracks like 'wherethetimegoes' and 'Citizen Score', as well as crafting some tender ambient passages on cuts like 'Night Czar' and 'A Kind Of Adventure'.
The EP will be released on Dichotomy Records, a new imprint, dedicated to refined electronic music. The label's ambition is to allow artists to explore dichotomies through their work, as they span sonic landscapes from pure ambient to techno, and other abstract dance sounds in-between. There will be a strong attention to the visual presentation of the label, with all artwork and photography also created by label boss Danny Clancy.
With the next release lined up from Ahu, and more to follow from there, the agenda for Dichotomy Records looks hugely promising indeed.

Fashion design is a creative task involving the shaping, bending, and breaking of codes- archetypes, memes, and references from the past are re-mapped into something novel. Techno production has a similar relationship to it's past, present, and future, as one mines the genre's legacy in order to navigate new territory. Creative polymath Virgil Abloh is most widely known for his fashion work, but it's no surprise his track "ORVNGE" with Boys Noize is a powerfully executed exercise in the shared practice of finding the memetic, fractal base that forms the skeleton for a myriad of patterns that inevitably follow.

This is coding at it's best- when something simple set in motion gives rise to unexpectedly beautiful complexity. Virgil Abloh and Boys Noize certainly are masters of their respective codes, and "ORVNGE" is a club weapon serving as a robust beginning for the further possibilities of their collaboration yet to unfold.

We first met Cabasa at the Worldwide Internet Memes Meeting in Daussoulx (BE) back in December 2014. He did some un-understandable jokes about music, it was boring. But he was kinda funny and we had a lot of money to spend on stupid stuff. So, we thought it could be interesting to press a record based on his boring jokes. We still don't really understand our own decision, but here's the outcome of 3 years of hard labour. »

The Lionoil pride reascends with a four-tracker from Edinburgh's Telfort. His first EP for Lionoil arrives on the back of a triptych of sold out self-releases, which gained adulation and support across the globe from folks like Move D, Axel Boman, Smallpeople, Moxie, Tim Sweeney, Jane Fitz, Jacques Renault and many more. With Telfort's 'Rooms For Speculation', he delivers four versatile deep house cuts on a label he is no stranger to. Having appeared on the very first Lionoil 12' he regularly features on their line-ups and forms an integral part of the family's party force in Edinburgh and further afield.
The title track opens with rapturous piano chords and stirring sample-work, before deploying burly bass stabs under wholesome rhodes deepness. 'Some Other Time' accelerates on, sweeping through layers like a dreamy dystopian car chase. On the flip, 'Barberweed' turns the temperature up to 'peak summer scorcher' as dulcet samples float above another of Telfort's boundless basslines tempered with those spiky 909s. Lastly, 'Exploding Car' mellows off the EP, despatching a warming orchestra of dusty strings, a driving weapon for the warmup.
This essential summer record is undoubtedly Telfort's most accomplished to date, cementing his deep idiosyncratic style.

Next up on DABJ, Hissman aka Fabio Monesi is an artist we have been massive fans of since we started playing "Nobody's Talking" (which featured on our 2014 DABJ BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix) a few years back... Through his labels Hardmoon and Wilson Records, he has brought some of the freshest jams to our ears in quite some time.For his first outing on DABJ, shit gets real. Masterfully crafted mechanized, rough, tough techno belters in that inimitable Hissmanstyle... don't sleep on this.

Greenvision is the collaborative brainchild of two ESP Institute artists, Juan Ramos and Luca Trentini AKA Trent, both longtime fixtures of Berlin's infamous playground known as Cocktail d'Amore. Separately, these two explore their own very personal avenues of expression, putting their time in the trenches and endlessly polishing their works (this makes Juan's third release with the label), but when their efforts overlap we're gifted a view into their uncanny synergy. Juan and Trent channel an exorbitant amount of smoke-fueled creativity, building layers upon layers into music so dense that the bulk of their studio time might then be spent navigating and formalizing their output into tangible tracks. Greenvison's collective debut with the ESP Institute showcases three intense cerebral workouts, Banana Paradiso, Rambutan and The Color Of Maracuja, an array of experiments pulling from all the corners of the duo's imagination—it is disorienting, cacophonous, introverted and psychedelic, but at the same time playful, melodic, euphoric and undoubtably arresting—guaranteed to induce hallucinations under proper circumstances. Times of innocence; « Etire en avant » is a track by I:Cube from 1996 recorded straight to tape, when he was still doing music in his bedroom at his parents' house. This slow jam contains french hypnotizing aerobic lyrics combined with a funk filtered sample, perfect for a tantalising disco sleaze
late night set.

On the flip side, Abel from the infamous Red Light Records Amsterdam offers us a surprising re-jam based on the original « XXXX » track released last year on the Oeil Cube E.P.
Speeding it up from 33 to 45 rpm, and then extending it for maximum effect.
From cinematic slow boogie to proper boogie monster.

After a sold out first release, Patrick Gil is back with Pressed Friends 02. 'Punctual' is a stripped back, bleepy warehouse machine that hits hard but is versatile and funky. Remix duties are taken care of by Alex Under from Spain. After Patrick's 12' on Alex's CMYK Musik it was time to invite Alex into his community and Alex delivered big time. Alex refines the main ideas in the track, boiling it down to a solid groove and adding a killer bass riff that sounds like it was meant to be there all along.

Pressed Friends is about friendship, community and good music on wax.

Redshape stars in another deep tripping, sci-fi odyssey on his imprint for present 16. Opening The Gate reveals a slow but surely building burner that is classic Redshape, ripping the space-time continuum fabric apart at it's spoken word climax narrating of solar winds, cosmic ray particles and the speed of light. Heed the track's unmistakable call and take flight on an interplanetary elevator with parched, bone-dry percussion, twisting lines with propulsive bass and growls that rumble underneath, enveloping you in an air cabin of Jedi-level sound design prowess. The ride truly begins next with Voyager. It's all aboard a throbbing deep low end countered by floating, melancholic sustained chords with twinkling bleeps and fading bloops that light up like the star-studded Milky Way. Frantic hi hats and modulated percussion work keep riders on the edge of their seat through this fantasy space-age joyride at warp speed.

Real deep and emotional booty grind music

Suns out, guns out: Darkroom Dubs ease into 2018 slowly with a new addition to their limited vinyl series courtesy of Madrid analogue scientist Eduardo De La Calle.

Last spotted on Planet E and boasting a 15 year back-cat on the likes of Cadenza, Biologic, Just This, Hivern Discs and Mule Muziq, Eduardo is a man you're already well acquainted with. And you're going to want to get even closer once you've digested these four straight-to-business stripped-back traxx. Each cut designed for deep mix tailoring that you can really bend minds with.

'It's Me... The Apple Knocker' ignites the fire with a flash as we're hurled into a hypnotic frenzy from the first loop. A whirlwind comprised of so few parts yet causing a riot in your senses, this stutters and slurs with a precision sense of unease. The troubled ebb and flow of 'Opsimath' follow suit with a twinkling feeling of unknown. An extensive groove weighing in at nearly nine minutes, its unhurried nature alludes to its title; the longer you leave it sizzle, the more enriching it gets.

Flip for 'Breatharian'. The deepest, most disarming cut of the collection laced with yearning strings and poignant chords, it's a solar-inspired sunset piece that gradually morphs into something much darker and serious as the track progresses. Finally we conclude with 'Cybersquatting', a timeless mildly dubbed-out darkroom groove that flows with liquid insistency. Subtly mutating and rotating, forever pumping, it's a true calm before the storm piece, tailored for those moments when you need a little suspense and space in your set.

German producer Markus Suckut returns with a mesmerising techno release entitled 'New Life EP', a precursor to his forthcoming album on Rekids. First appearing on Rekids in 2015, Markus Suckut has since become a vital member of the Rekids family when not running his own labels SCKT and Pattern Research. Pounding drums and atmospheric effects initiate 'New Life' before a groove laden bassline and scintillating synths ebbs into the mix. 'Mistakes Are For Everyone' then generates an oscillating aesthetic whilst syncopated kicks join echoing nuances, leading into the rattling sounds of 'Shimmer' with its ghostly chords and tantalising melodies.
With Suckut having released two albums already the Du¨sseldorf artist is no stranger to the long player format making his forthcoming album on Rekids all the more exciting.

We are bringing together the creative might of our residents to bring the sound of Renate on a double release EP. Over the years Renate has grown from a impetuous party to a glorious club. The people who came together under her roof and played beats that made bodies pulsate with ecstasy have become benchmarks in the music industry of today. We want to share with you that talent. The first EP hosts tracks from Peak & Swift the colourful techno duo that inadvertently become the face of renate today. Sebastian Voigt, the dark techno Horse of the Renate tribe, adds a little mystic depth. Samanta Fox & Oliver Klostermann bring their high styled brand of cosmic music to the wax in a epic track and lastly Johannes Albert the wunderkid who broke free of the berlin's shackles and taken over the global stage with influences from none other the Wilde Renate.

Viers clocks back in on Figure duty, showing up with up for another strong statement of his unmistakenly singular style. Here he is working it from all angles: Straight up and searingly stoic techno opener Let My Mind Breath is grinding away grittily, while things turn surprisingly bouncy, as Genesis dishes out electrifying boom-bap-breakbeats, transporting imagery of neo-futuristic Tokyo streets. As night sets in, so does the kinetic groove of Oyasumi, which twirls layers of energetic movement into a thick current, zooming through the city's deep gorges of concrete and fiber glass. Closing track Data Entry 4590 finally provides some soothing ambient tones of melancholic longing, inviting to slowly drift away into white-washed nothingness and process the bright color storm that Viers lets unfold on this intense record.
