Going back to classics could fall so easily, luckily for Skudge Presents, the persistent and class-act of Mark Broom leaves the mediocre in its rubble.
The kicking A-side, Moments1, with the high paced energy and flirtations with the Dutch classic style of Techno-House crossover brings a smile upon dj's and dancers alike - without going too much into nostalgia, this track is sure to find its way through the peak times.
Moments2 on the flip submerges deeper into this record's vibe, with a progression that throbs more than kicks, with a saw tooth lead that keeps the moody atmosphere intact.

'Galaxies Compared' is the debut album from Belgium's Dany Rodriguez. Having released a series of EPs for labels such as Kombination Research, MBR, Bush, MB Elektronics, Bulletdodge and Phobiq he now runs his own RMR label, where his techno and electronic sound has developed and flourished into this, his biggest project to date.

Recording for over a decade, Dany wanted to drop his debut album in the right place and at the right time. 'Galaxies Compared' therefore is the culmination of his many years craft learning via the perfect artist platform of his own label. It's a preview of Dany Rodriguez's musical path over the years through 10 magnificent tracks, showcasing his diverse electronic talent. From melodic heavenly delights to killer, speaker-shredding monsters, Dany takes us from mortal earth to the furthest galaxies and back.

Launching with the slowly building 'D'story', the track gradually mutates along bubbling synth lines and ethereal strings but constantly teases by holding back from the precipice. Instantly we find a producer in full control of his sound and brimming with confidence. 'Voyager' at last introduces a beat with swirling keyboard motifs creating a stringent, cosmic feel. Then we are taken back to the dark recesses of the universe as 'November' rolls around taut delicate strings and subtle pads before the shimmering stardust of 'Galaxies Compared' scatters light and warmth across our musical journey.

'Landscapes' carves a deeper furrow, bringing the beat gently back and forth over alien frequencies for ten minutes of spaced-out grooves whilst 'Elium' ups the tempo, albeit with a clipped beat and once again, restrained and subtle use of pads and hats. 'Labyrinth' is perhaps one of Dany's most perfectly realized tracks, sitting somewhere in the space-funk universe between early Axis era Hood and Mills whilst 'Pluton' rattles its sabre on the dancefloor with shaking percussion and a twisting acid-bassline that never overstays its welcome. The album wraps up with the tough minimal beats of 'Inside' before 'System R' guides us back through the cosmic drum pad vortex.

David Moleon cleverly shifts between the more sample based works and some harsh techno tracks on this well balanced 4 track release. San Salvador is set to be one of this summer's harder techno hits due to it's funky atmosphere and recognizable sample.

Dyad is a collaborative music project and label by Ben Gibson and Fundamental Interaction. For their second release they deliver two pieces of powerful contemporary techno together with an unrelenting remix by Pole Group affiliate Kwartz.

Nightclub Bassiani launchs a record label Bassiani Records. The firs release BAS001 assembled tracks from Vril, Voiski and Georgian artists, Bassiani resident HVL and Zesknel.

Jeremy Greenspan & Borys' second 12" on Dan Snaith's Jiaolong label. Recorded in Hamilton at Jeremy's studio. This release sees the two attempting to make Dance music without payoffs; creating tension without release. This is "new age" music for the neurotic.

We are very happy to announce Joton for the first album of kickstarting More Than Less, (aka Less n Less) the finest Underground Techno label in South Korea. Joton is one of great Techno producer used to work with many world-renowned producers like Ben Sims, Oscar Mulero, Pacou, Bas Mooy, Radal and many other. He made some serious tracks and a representative Korean techno producer Soolee has joined for the remix for Joton.

2014, has been a great start for More Than Less Records rising from Seoul, South Korea. Our past releases are well supported by international underground Techno DJs and media. Now we move into what the More Than Less sound is.

Datura Dilema brings his talent to our label, his complexity regarding abstract electronica translates in this EP. Variation of sound enhancements, elements coming and going from different distances imitating refraction of sound waves, mystical twisted high quality sounds that figure as bright spots. Supported from The Black Dog, Josh Wink, Claudio PRC, Paula Temple, Samuli Kemppi and many more.

Agraphobia by LA Synthesis is considered by many as one of the most beautifully crafted string-driven techno tracks of all time. Originally released in 1994 it has received somewhat of a legendary cult status. 21 years later it is now time to breathe new life into this essential track and make it available again for a new generation of electronic music enthusiasts.

Together with De:tuned, LA Synthesis handpicked some of their favourite producers to rework the original and the results are mind-boggling to say the least. First up is Plaid who step in and deliver a skittering remix that soaks up the original melodies and continually morphs as it progresses. Ian O'brien turns out a stunning Detroit flavoured remix with rich, warm synth sounds and sublime melodies that really enhance the ethereal feeling of the original version.

Terrace breaks down the track into a stomping 4/4 Detroit techno affair with extra synth layers and bleeps to create a more urgent feel. ADJ adds a subtle ambient intro before releasing the original framework with a solid underlying electro beat, only to switch it up again halfway. Carl Finlow transmogrifies the original into a moody darkroom electro piece with menacing textures. Think robots, lasers and acid bleeps. Serious electro for the dance floor.

Last but not least the original version of Agraphobia remastered by Matt Colton is also included in this package, and it's sounding better than ever. Agraphobia Relapse will be available as a 2x12inch 180 gr vinyl release as well as a digital release. The vinyl version comes with beautiful sleeve and label artwork by Abdul Haqq (Third Earth) making this a most-wanted collector's item.

Mark Fell writes: "This series of works on this cassette began in 2011 when I attended a workshop/residency programme led by the British sound artist, composer and performer Jan Hendrickse. During a workshop session I played a pattern generating system via headphones to a drummer, Patrik Jarlestam who played a single snare drum. The basic premise of the work was that the performer should follow the pattern as accurately as possible, and to see what happened at the moments when the pattern changed - i.e. to foreground the performers attempts to follow the pattern and their ability to cope with the subtle yet unusual changes.

The pattern itself consists of a single percussive sound. The timing of the sound is determined by a list of five values ranging from one to 11 that represent timing intervals. These values are stepped through one at a time and multiplied by a base value, typically 80 milliseconds, to give the following possible timing intervals: 80, 160, 240, 320, 400, 480, 560, 640, 720, 800 and 880 milliseconds. A typical pattern might consist of something like 240, 240, 480, 320 and 320 which makes a total loop length of 1.6 seconds. If a single value is changed, for example element one becomes 560, the overall loop length extends to 1.92 seconds.

Although the patterns are relatively simple, and as a listener one can assimilate their form quite easily, it can be quite difficult to play along to them especially at those moments of change. So the piece can be thought of as a kind of intervention into the musical training and embedded musical vocabularies that the performer brings to the work. The point of the piece is not a perfect recital, but the difficulties that the performer encounters and the musical moments that these difficulties produce.

Unfortunately I believe there is no recording of Jarlestam's first performance of this piece - "Focal Music #1". The piece was performed a second time by Okkyung Lee during her residency at Cafe Oto, London 2015. "Focal Music #3" was performed with Laura Cannell at Baltic 39 (Newcastle, 2015) for Broken Telephone, an event which formed part of Peter J. Evans' exhibition Across Islands, Divides. "Focal Music #4" was performed with Aby Vulliamy at The Leeds Library (Leeds, 2015) at Peter Gidal/Mark Fell: Film/Sound organised by Pavilion and curated by Will Rose. "Focal Music #5a" and "Focal Music #5b" were recorded with Sandro Mussida at Zentrum für Kunst und Medientechnologie (Karlsruhe, 2016) in the Kubus studio. The piece, performed on piano, takes two forms: the first based upon a six note pitch set of which any two notes are played at the same time, the second is formed of 5 discreet layers each with a single note. These were played in isolation following the same guide pattern and then later overlaid to form a single pseudo chord." - Mark Fell, South Yorkshire, 4th May 2016

Out Electronic Recordings offers its first remix EP picking Gain Upwards from Orlando Voorn, as part of Black Diamond double LP, originally released on Out-ER itself in july 2014. Voorn is one of Europe's oldest and most prolific electronic music producer. Winning the Dutch DMC Championship in 1986 and being constantly into the scene since '90, Orlando has been profitably collaborating with the italian label heads Simone Gatto and Andrea Santoro for years, releasing Black Diamond on their own imprint and featuring together on different european ones. From the twelve gems Voorn created for Out Electronic Recordings, Gain Upwards is the one selected to be reinterpreted by Orlando's long-standing friend Juan Atkins, dutch heavyweight ROD, Ostgut-Ton magician Efdemin and Inkblots and Raw Waxes label owner Haiku. First side of the record is less about groove and more about edgy peak time moments. Juan Atkins strays from the original version in favour of propulsive percussions and an incisive bassline sorrounded by spacey bleeps. ROD delivers a rising, intense remake sampling just few original elements and adding a majestic kick plus clean, emphatic hats. Flipping on the second side, ethereal soundscapes and fluid key-structures become the main elements of the conclusive remixes. Efdemin's unique, dreamy sense of rhythm expresses as a peaceful stormer filled with graceful synth lines and a slamming bassline, drawing the air when pads make the break. Haiku starts slow, a blissful ambient introduces a Rastafarian vocal and a syncopated pulse, gradually adorned by bright claps and bells, closing another delightful EP marked by the italian hybrid dance music label.

This delivery is composed by two original tracks and remixes by the leader of techno in Spain, Oscar Mulero, and by The Transhumans, the Spanish duo based in Berlin.

Hotflush are proud to introduce an exciting young artist, PYUR, along with her singular debut LP Epoch Sinus. Despite her relative newness, PYUR meets the world with fully formed and unique signatures in both visual and sonic work, revealing a deep artistry that transcends medium.
Growing up in Munich, in and amongst the same fecund scene that spawned artists like the Zenker Brothers and Skee Mask, PYUR cut her teeth from a young age as a guitarist and singer before becoming spellbound by the electronic world's endless scope for sound design. Endowed with innately strong synaesthesia and reared in a shamanic household, she tells how music 'played the biggest role in my growth. It alone had the purpose to help me dissolve boundaries, discover the beauty of life's mechanisms, create freely. It talked. Soon I felt like the music was making me, not the other way round.'
Epoch Sinus is a seamless and heartfelt whole, a life-like being unto itself, describing the disintegration of barriers between the self and the all. Here PYUR offers an intimate and personal statement, combining knowledge of universal harmony with electronic music. She states: 'I'm mainly influenced by my inner visions and nature itself, yet also a lot from club culture, which is undoubtedly an important space of connection and freedom for so many people'. The record dances playfully between supposedly incompatible qualities: moments of brutality turn to softness, new life embraces decomposition, while explosive rhythmic and melodic structures are tempered with gentle and subtle percussion.
The album is accompanied by a video piece for each track, translating the sonic messages into a visual body. Her goal was to show as accurately as possible what she felt during the making process of Epoch Sinus, to put the music into context and make it more accessible for the public. Light, water, reflections and colors of nature all feature strongly in these distinctive visions.
'Music showed me that, in the sweet spot between nothingness and existence, one is empowered to fully understand energetic connections and able to initiate extraordinary transformations through all grids and layers of self. Especially now at this time music has the enormous potential and responsibility to become a transformative entity, providing truthfulness and support.'

Raw Waxes continues the release number four with one more original track from The Noisemaker. The edition 4.2 is enriched by the remixes of Korova, duo who were protagonists of our first release, and Inigo Kennedy, old school artist truly appreciated by Raw Waxes. On Side C, Point X15 advances as an acid robot going ahead with swollen broken baselines covering sinister and rough ambients. The rhythm gets darker and nimbler as far as the stylus moves on the decks. On the Side D, Korova delivers the mirror of their hypnotic and straight techno soul. Drums play hard, ambients are kept happily enjoyable, while the acid synths and chords go with the flow embellishing the original version. Inigo Kennedy's reinterpretation seems to come from early '90 productions on Missile Records. Acid elements and palpitating hi-hats, followed by the syncopated bass drum, gradually fire the minds up and accelerate the roll of weird but deep moments. Pure industrial machine guns.

One of Stockholm's best-kept secrets is now out of the closet. With no information on the artist, what we get is two rumbling techno tracks with a cause. Grounded theory' builds on a ground loop' layered with a bellish sequence, percussion and stabby hits. Furious Dub' is a dubby take, made up by filtered chords and a bassline with an offbeat LFO. Both tracks are aimed to make you move. It's your body, you decide!

Damon Bell arrives on DBA with a debut three-track EP that delves deep into the musical influences that shape his sound. Best known for his output on fellow Oaklander Aybee's Deepblak Recordings - where he holds the title "Chief Connoisseur"- Bell has won ardent admirers both with his string of EPs and with last year's debut LP 'Blues For The Libyan', in addition to releases on R&S sub-label Meda Fury. The trio of tracks that make up the Ankh Boogie EP find Bell returning to the dynamic African rhythms of his most floor-friendly work, with live instrumentation layered over an electronic pulse. Having had his start as a teenager obsessing over Afro-Cuban jazz and jazz fusion, his long-standing devotion to learning and adapting the music's polyrhythmic sensibilities in his own music, coupled with the voyages of sound Deepblak is known for, result in a unique collage of sounds that at various moments can recall the likes of Joe Claussell, DJ Qu and Ron Trent. Where the title track plays with sun-kissed melodies and percussive elements, the B1, Aural Afrek, goes into darker techno territory, while B2 cut Time For Change is an organ-led house workout.

Jimmy Edgar's blossoming Ultramajic imprint gets off to a typically brazen start in 2014 with an EP of fiercely visceral club music from US born, Berlin-based producer Danny Daze.
A self-confessed lover of classic electro, the 3 tracks present contain the mechanical aesthetics and skewed sonics of the labels he holds close to heart, whilst packing an undeniable punch that will see these drawn for time and time again.
Released on 12' vinyl and digital, Daze is the first in a whole slew of acts to be welcomed onto the roster over the course of the year, and marks another exciting chapter for the burgeoning label.

Esteban Adame had released material on Planet E, Esteban partnered up with long time friend and colleague Santiago Salazar to start ICAN Productions. As a musician, Esteban is also a member of the Underground Resistance live act Galaxy to Galaxy. The opening track, 'Home Sick' is taken from Esteban's forthcoming album, while 'Search For Resolution' is exclusive to the EP. And with their deep techno grooves, heavy basslines and melodious synth work. Detroit's MGUN (who has collaberated and released on the label of Kyle Hall as well as on Third Ear) remixes the title track.

Traffic Records is in with their fourth release! Martyné & Jacob teamed up again and present the Dune EP, great broken techno, played out by Ricardo Villalobos, Dorian Paic, Michael Melchner...

After kicking off 2016 with the massive Don't Need EP from Callahan featuring that remix from man of-the-moment Hodge, DEXT is back with another banger of an EP from fast rising UK producer Mella Dee. The man from Doncaster, UK has been creating a name for himself on the scene of late with releases on Redlight's Lobster Boy and Shy Fx's Digital Soundboy imprint, and his DEXT Debut certainly doesn't disappoint.Over the last year or so, he has been masterfully fusing 90's jungle influences with driving house & techno percussion and his EP for us is, we think, his strongest work to date. The thunderous Deep Soul opens things up with filtered amens, chopped-up vocals and Reece bass lines; the perfect take on the late 1993 UK sound, honed & updated for 2016. Universal is a straight up 4x4 DEXT jacker, with raw house, UKG and moodier elements blending together for maximum effect. Finally, Circular is the most heads down of the 3 originals - hypnotic synths and incessant drum patterns wind around each other to create a seriously classy UK techno track.
To round it all off we have a stunning rework of the title track from Endian (Non Plus, Birdie, Secretsundaze). Twisting up the original elements, this dark warehouse version has been crafted to perfection - if you liked Hodge's remix for us, you'll love this too!

Mr. Beatnick returns to DBA after a two year hiatus following his Synthetes Trilogy series, with a new direction and a 4 track EP which represents his most floor-focussed work to date. Opening cut Stutter is an immaculately crafted deep techno bomb which features the trademark sound familiar to fans of the London producer's work, whilst title track Formed In The Stance and flip-side Obsidian Morning explore an eyes-down, moody, broken sound which will no doubt ring a bell for devotees of the seminal Co-Op nights.

For her Trolldans release, Skirt has chosen an arresting cover by John Bauer depicting a shining princess dressed all in white, seemingly revered by four trolls struck by her beauty. But as the title of the EP tells, it's a Mirage. When the music starts, you just know the trolls are done for. Because while there's certainly light in this EP, it's not a warm glow emanating from a sweet little princess. No, it's a ghostly shiver of light emanating from a dark and forgotten place where no light ought to be found at all. Skirt creates visions of thick fog rising from insidious marshes; a mourning veil caught in a dead tree in a deserted graveyard; a massive dust-covered church organ playing for itself in a long crumbled chapel. But there's a clear sense of pace and motion too: below the sweeping, eerie sounds there are beats of stuttering hearts and shaking bones triggering bodily movement. Lakker adds to this with their heavy, pulsating remix, and even brings some playfulness to the table before they too descends into complete darkness. This is a haunted record. A true Mirage.

''Various Elektronics'' is the new vinyl project by Marco Bailey's imprint, MB Elektronics, which will be collecting the very best techno gems of the latest digital releases and offering them a vinylistic life. On the first episode we showcase 4 massive weapons by Tom Hades, Mattew Jay, Filterheadz & Dema which have been rocking the dance-floors during the latest months and showing no will to stop.

On SA014 Xhin and Perc explore the savage side of the dance floor with four punishing tracks. The EP is sliced open by 'She's The Disease'. Xhin's A1 is saturated with details: strange metallic scrapes, squelching pads and beats that constantly push to the surface. A2 'Blinding Truth' is a master class in dense, industrial textures. The track swoons and swoops in and out of focus revealing Xhin at his shadowy finest. On the flip side of the wax Perc's 'Forge' is built around no-nonsense broken beats and layered with eerie, granulated sounds. The key to 'Forge' is counterbalance, Perc volleys sounds off one another, shifting the atmosphere between strictly industrial and sharply glacial reference points. The EP is closed as darkly as it began with 'Kater'. Atop stabbing beats Perc stacks strange reed tones, wisps of a conversation held far in the distance and split second samples that could have been prised from an opera. 'Kater' is a production that is brilliantly constructed: these sounds shouldn't necessarily work together, but their combination is brutally good. SA014 showcases two of Stroboscopic Artefacts' core artists using experimental sound design to fortify productions that are more that capable of destroying the dance floor. Alessandro Diga, a young talented dutch artist, delivers 3 solid techno tracks for the fifth release on the BergWacht record label. Phaedra' starts with a great bassline and goes into a warm melodic techno track with a lot of emotions, dreamy synths and it goes along with a clear hihat. The track is able to be dreamy and not cheesy at the same time. Sonora' is grounded on a rolling bassline and clear hi-hats as well, it goes over in nice effects with outstanding breaks, but it finds back to the starting rhythms. Dahlia' the hidden B-2 track transmits a deep journey with melancholic feelings.

Body-rattlin' UK rufige from Laksa, marking his second ppearance on Beneath's Mistry label with two parts of properly assertive, bassbin-troubling mongrel business circa 120bpm.
Leading on from Mistry's examples by Alex Coulton, Chevel, Webstarr, Batu and Gaunt, Laksa nails the label aesthetic with insistent torque and no concession to niceties.
66 Rebels staggers across the A-side, drunken master style, whipping the subs into a mucky frenzy under deglazed, worn-down drums and stinging bleeps that bite in all the right places.
There's no let up in CTRL Delete either. From the rim it's a headlong trip into cavernous dread dance music swarmed by chromatic ghost voices and shocked into action by a massive, reverberating synth lead that takes half the track to get going, but when it does, it's lights out.

NDR dropping its first release on wax with an EP by Swedish producer Mattias Fridell, who's been at the forefront of his country's techno scene since the 1990s. He gets joined by his fellow countryman Evigt Mörker, delivering a driving but subtle remix of his very own unique and mysterious style. The record gets completed with a raw and destructive rework by the Austrian duo Fehlzündung, who get along with only few elements, still able to deliver some serious floor damage.

Melbourne debut label Local Traffic brings us 3 deep melodic dub techno tracks from Amsterdam born producer Ohrwert. Ohrwert has a great history of production, with a hefty resume of releases, from his ambient productions under his birth name Arjen Schat to his well known dub techno releases under alias Ohrwert. Slowed down breaks that are all the rage with the yoof, apparently but LIPELIS takes it to another level. Last floor his version of DARKNESS IN THE MIDDLE is a trickster, you'd think almost ambient kraut before you end up on an italo-piano-expansives beach.

It's been a while but hey-ho, Coincidence is back on vinyl. The tracks we got from Aussie based female Dj Trinity were simply too analog sounding, so slapping it on wax was the logical thing to do. The vinyl release adds remixes by two of our alltime heroes - Steve Stoll and Daniela La Luz - while the digital release will feature a remix by label boss Didier Beydts. 
Basically: the originals are deep and darkish, the Steve Stoll rework is a rework in one smooth jam so with plenty of energy, Daniela's version does it really smart and housey and Didier has listened really well to Simian Mobile Disco and melodic Deep house.

A myth is a legendary story that a community validates to explain part of its reality. However any member or group within the community can have his or her own version of the myth, and the myth can also evolve through time. We may all listen to the same track but this track still calls up intimate images for each and every one of us. A myth is full of adventure and mystery, it is epic and full of emotions. It can be anything from the Lost Ark to Greek Gods fighting. The aim is to fill our bodies and minds with emotions. The main idea is to tell stories like books or movies, but through musical notes & rhythm. The music makers provide the musical image, the listeners create the myth. And vice-versa.

After some acclaimed productions on Unknown Precept, PRR!PRR! and Mannequin Records, we are really excited to announce 'Laugh Tool', the debut full-lenght of Maoupa Mazzocchetti, pseudonym of Florent Mazzocchetti, young and talented French producer based in Brussels.

Maoupa Mazzocchetti is finally bringing back to life the earlier days of electro-industrial, in a mixture that is very close to the late 70's/early 80s period of Fad Gadget, Throbbing Gristle, Portion Control, Cabaret Voltaire and Front 242, crossed with the more fresh and innovative deep electronic experiments of Beau Wanzer and Charles Manier. Strongly addicted to a DIY ethic, and so to a punk ideology and anticonsumerism, most of Florent's releases are recorded in his bedroom without any professional equipment, using analog synth and sequencers, modified drum machines, tape loops and a load of pedal effects.

Florent started to experiment with the rhythm since his early age. Developing a passion for the drums at the age of 10 years, soon after he was moving to rock records and guitar, which became his instrument and one of the keystones of his perception of music. Florent approach with rhythm and drums was never traditional, making him feeling more a researcher than a musician.

To an audience of contemporary electronic music consumers, who had only closely followed techno, electro and disco, the sounds of 'Laugh Tool' will appear unearthly, entirely unexpected, withering comets of strangeness. A 10 tracks album ready to change their minds...

Techno is what brings us together and what makes us family to one another. We rejoice listening to it, produce it, talk about it, share it and mainly dance to it.
It is incredible how one physical spot creates so such magic and human connection.
This label brings the productions of the front left people to the world.
In the first release, you will find Elad Magdasi, a heavy dancer and an emotional producer. His productions are wide-ranged and loaded with a true rave spirit, combining an acid-line treatment and his melodic point of view. In the last two years Elad's productions turned to the techno side, and now he feels it's time to finally let his music out. Gathering knowledge and figuring out his style brought him to this point. His love for raving is what keeps his mojo going and brings the inspiration to his life.

WRLTD series continue with the 12-inch by Maltese producer Christopher Buhagiar. Previously known as N.d (Natch Records, Subself Records, Reaktivate), now he hides under the name of Hail Blk. With launching of his own self-titled label, he took a step forward in his creative evolution, producing raw analogic techno on the edge between harsh post-industrial grooves and deep hypnotic soundscapes. Now we can hear this kind of magic in original tracks on the A-side of the current EP. Killer shit from a new Ukrainian producer.

For their tenth release, Voodoo Down has again chosen to debut a new act to add to their label roster. Andy Harper and Nic Ford have been making music together for over a decade but began releasing in earnest under the name MadderModes in 2014 on their own label, Shift Coordinate Points. They have since put out records on the labels Millions of Moments and Night Drive Music. Their handful of releases have already drawn support from top names like Move D and Nick Höppner, and it's clear that the duo's sound is only getting more refined with each successive record. The EP entitled Emprical Evidence' is a wholly cinematic piece of work, spread across four tracks that unravel slowly, unified by a theme of pumping syncopated rhythms under sprawling pad and string progressions. It's easy to get lost in the thick arrangements, and the inventive use of samples and melodic elements invite repeat listening. Equally suitable for early morning hours, ultra-deep techno sets, or quiet home listening sessions.

Two new extended Ninos Du Brasil productions marking Nico and Nicolò's first new material since 2014's much-praised Novos Mistérios album.Para Araras finds them upping their production levels to deliver an oddly compelling blend of joyous adventure theme-park music crossed with the chaos and explosive tension of mass street protests. The A-side's A Magia Do Rei displays of rolling techno variant kinked with polyrhythmic shuffles, darkside synth strokes and swooping subs, superbly rounded off by Neel's mastering work. Turn over, and Algo Ou Alguém Entre As Árvores hits a rather different groove accentuating their tribal influences in a roiling, humid swamp of churning bass, scissoring syncopation and layered voices sounding like an extended offcut from the Cannibal Holocaust OST. In the most honest sense, both sides live up to the thrill of their ecstatic, confetti-strewn live shows, while proving effectively deadly as DJ tools in the right hands.

As days go by and the wait for the new full length Pan-Pot album 'The Other' grows shorter and shorter, it's time to temper the restlessness again with two more meticulously selected tracks from the forth coming long player.

The cleverly titled 'Fist Bump From Destiny' is a story of patience with huge payoffs. At nearly 10 minutes, it's a long ride that builds slowly as persistent and hypnotizing tones circle and stalk, continually growing into the semblance of a cosmic clock. As the concept of time seems to disappear, the reward reveals itself: a fist bump from destiny.

'Operator' parallels the story of a tenacious vessel navigating a course through an impenetrable fog during the darkest shade of night. Low menacing rumbles and short sonic blasts serve as bold displays of position while a perpetually rising synth provides the momentum it employs to advance into the dark.

Ricardo Donoso brings his triptych of releases to a close with this remix EP, bringing in five diverse and respected artists to pick tracks for re-working. Yves De Mey opens proceedings with a nerve-wracking, midnight black take on 'The Sphinx' which slowly builds through layers of skittering synths, while Recondite, hot on the heels of his Hinterland album, brings 'Diagonal Environment' straight to the floor with a driving 4/4 that adds a solid backbone to proceedings.On the flip, Subtext figurehead Paul Jebanasam offers up the most abstract cut on the record withthe dark and winding 'Affirmation' remix complete with intricate compositional elements and blasting cinematics, while John Tejada offers a club-ready version of 'The Redeemer' before Andreas Tilliander's TM404 provides an acid-soaked take on 'Open Drawer, Full of Masks' .

Berlin / Manchester noiseniks AnD finally make their full Perc Trax debut after first appearing on the label in 2014 when they served up a suitably screw-faced remix of Drax's 'Phosphene'.

Now regarded as one of the most uncompromising production outfits on the European techno scene they widen their musical vision across these four tracks without leaving behind the raw aesthetic and driving energy that has characterised their music and their live performances over the last few years.

From the kind of straight up 4/4 pounders that have made the closing slot at Electric Deluxe's Awakenings events their own, to experiments with off-kilter drums and caustic noise this EP is as good a statement of AnD's present and future as you'll hear all year.

The first installment of Balans Records in 2016 brings the debut of young, talented Italian artist, Drafted, to the Dutch label.
Beautifully opening the EP, 'Frames from the Lake' fills the air with a thick suspense, reminiscent of a mystical fairytale before 'Frequency Graven' dives straight into a persistent kick and coordinated with fluttering chords. On the flip side, 'Shaded Impacted' delivers a deeper bass which introduces a progression into a climax of heavenly dissonance and relentless hi-hats. 'Vortex Empire' on the other hand features contradictory rhythms which dance atop stirring atmospheres.
Each track is able to emphasize that naturally opposites do attract as the confronting rhythms compliment any dark dance floor.

Dead Heat's music contains deep psychedlic influences in their sound. Feat. The Field & Lucy mixes.
Life and Death returns to its indie roots with this fresh sounding release from new artist, Dead Heat. The trio, formerly known as Esperanza, counts deep psychedlic influences (among others) as a significant factor in their well developed sound. Here they present two original tracks which frame two sides of an idea, a ying and yang of a raw and emotional journey across a modern alternative landscape with nods to the indie and alternative music of decades past.

Bosco is the darker of the two with a powerfully raw and driving bass that sounds like a modern day Morphine set on a Blade Runner-esque backdrop. Paired with a haunting and plaintive vocal it's an impressive force they make -- which makes the beautiful guitar and piano that come in towards the end all the more impressive in their counterpoint.

Remixing Bosco is Berghain resident and techno producer extraordinaire, Lucy. Here he takes the track to even darker and deeper territories as he creates a fine piece of well crafted techno that keeps elements of the original but twists them well to make them his own. Just what you might imagine hearing deep in the bowels of that Berlin insitution.

The Dam is the yang to Bosco's yin with a lighter more hopeful sound but with no less emotion wrapped inside. Here the piano and guitar takes the foreground earlier, to be later framed by a chugging bass and atmospheric synths that work together to create a blissful musical trip.

Taking remixing duties for The Dam is The Field, the project of talented Swedish musician Axel Willner. Mixing sonic soundscapes and classic songwriting, his take on Dead Heat's original is an impressive slice of both. A truly elegant interpretation of the original that stays with the listener long after the last note has sounded.

This second release made by the Swedish music artist and producer KAB is a brilliant sequel with a great soundscape and truly distinct beats. KAB, an abbreviation of his name Karl-Axel Bissler, has been active since the early 90's and, back then, released on the renowned NovaMute label along with artists such as Richie Hawtin (Plastikman), Speedy J, and Luke Slater. More lately his works has been released on Mule Electronic and WIR, to mention a few who too have recognized his subtle way of expressing feelings through music. Music that can be experienced either through the little white earbuds in a crowded bus as well as in the total freedom of the open nature. It doesn't matter. As long as you are ready to open yourself up a little bit, 'Reconnect' and 'Receive and Transmit' will bring you to a wonderful place inside you. We thank KAB for bringing these beats to this world, every beat denoting another heartbeat in the life of the MABC label.

The 'Savalli' ep opens up with the title track, a tune unique in its production techniques.Jazzy pads have been sent through Oskar's walls of toy madness to create deck sample craziness, all the while being melodic and thoughtfully attractive, experimental whilst being 'house' too, something Oskar does so well.

Within electronic music Sven Väth represents more than a single style. Sven embodies the music as a whole, he cherishes every facet of Techno and House. Väth has experienced the music as it emerged in the mid-eighties. From this moment on, he has helped to shape it year after year. Väth produced seminal music, his labels created and create its very own unmistakable brand of music, he ran a club and several booking agencies. Cocoon is a global identification mark for high quality parties and festivals. Those are major achievements, but they are overshadowed by Väth DJing abilities. Like no one else, Väth manages to capture the current figuration of our beloved electronic dance music in its entirety and melds it into a single, stirring story. In the summer 2016, Väth invited the global electronic music community to the Mediterranean island of Ibiza for the 17th time. Soft, friendly chords and bird chirps from Swedish producer Harald Björk woo us to the dance floor. The kittenish hookline is open to any kind of playful swing, yet it follows the tender, springy groove with the self-assuredness of a dream walker. Väth weaves Ripperton´s upright beats into the track, using suggestive, mysterious reverberations of a distant, graceful melody. * 2200's debut EP for Cult Trip sees Rory give us a true appreciation of the Dan White sound that has given him a reputation as one of Australia's finest. Lead by acid burner and title track, 'Killed By Deaf' 2200 comes with the goods unleashing the gem that is 'Outlaw'. On the flip, we're brought back to Rory's modernist techno roots with the introspective soundscape 'Technocracy' that acts as a prelude to the monster that is 'The Rig'.

The latest signing to Flumo is Bessiekat. Brewed in districts and clubs of Moscow, with a label of his own, Isaiah Tapes, he delivers a strong rhythm with harmonic dispositions, all painted with industrially laced colours of the hardware he uses to create the following pieces.
The two originals Hearp and Pearls share a commonality in developing vivid landscapes of overlapping analogue sonic expositions.
However, they differ in the way that the former warms you up and brings you more attentively to the speaker, while the latter throws you back on the deep, dark, early morning dancefloor.
The B-side of the record presents three different experimentations using the same colours to paint a different picture. J Albert provides a progressively monotonic remix, one that successfully develops a swinging analogue feel with lots of detail where you begin to hear the interplay of the highs and the lows. The overlapping patches of sound make the melody an emotional part of the track.
Willis Anne turns the tables around an exposing the intricacies of the rhythm, he focuses on fusing the melodies and harmonies for a wider scope of sound.....

Cristian Vogel best techno tracks from the '90s. remastered in 2015. Cristian Vogel is a composer and music producer, known for his DJ sets and live performances, studio composition and production (having worked with artists such as Radiohead, Maxïmo Park, Chicks on Speed, and Thom Yorke...). Born in Chile 1972 but growing up in the UK, he has toured consistently since 1992 as DJ and live performer, as solo artist and also with Jamie Lidell as 'Super_Collider'. Phantasy are proud to present their 50th release. With two years having passed since 2013's hugely acclaimed Drone Logic, Daniel Avery returns to Phantasy to offer a much anticipated taste of his restless studio experimentation. Sensation projects Avery's distinctive feedback and engrossing modulations onto his widest canvas yet. Surges of noise link the track to artists such as Cortini and Basinski in its ability to echo purposefully across vast halls, yet proving to be just as absorbing in more intimate circumstances. Still, tough drums amid the shifting atmospherics nonetheless hint at Avery's continuing stride towards techno's more relentless facets. While Sensation floats freely, Clear continues Avery's occasional forays into unapologetically trippy realms. Revisiting an evolved but no less addictive form of the acidic psychedelia touched on throughout the duration of Drone Logic, Clear spirals seamlessly into both paranoia and euphoria.
This year Avery launched Divided Love, a 'semi-regular gathering for like-minded sonic souls' at London's fabric which has also travelled to Paris, Lisbon, LA, New York and Lyon's Nuits Sonores festival. Guests have included Rødhåd, KiNK, Factory Floor and Roman Flügel, acts who all contributed to Avery's New Energy remix collection released last winter which also featured reworks by Silent Servant, Powell, Ø (Phase) and Beyond The Wizard's Sleeve.

Blueprint heads across the Atlantic for the next release as Kero (who made his first appearance on the label with a remix of James Ruskin's 'Transfer' in 2006) joins forces with Gotshell for the 'Perindsor EP'.

With over 30 releases on some of electronic music's most celebrated and innovative labels such as Bpitch, Warp, Ghostly, Shitkatapult and Touchin' Bass as well as his own critically acclaimed Detroit Underground Records and Kerohand (with Kelli Hand), Kero has established a reputation for unrepentantly brash, yet cultivated compositions.

Gotshell meanwhile, is a mysterious deep sound producer, formed in the dark and cold nights of Colombia's Pereira. Delivering simple, straightforward, stripped down, cavernous techno without hype or fanfare, Gotshell has appeared on labels including Planet Rhythm, Nachtstrom Schallplatten and Kero's Detroit Underground.

Combining their talents for Blueprint 20th anniversary year, we're given four tracks of dark, thoughtful electronics from the sweeping soundscapes and deep beats of 'Samaria District I' to the looping sonics of 'Operation'; and from the hushed experimental tones of 'Ex Adenoma Pleomorfico' to the EP's dense and dubby closer, 'Perindsor'.

VSA records debuts with the two label founders - Vinyl Speed Adjust - forefronting two monster acid cuts - The A side "Lost and Found", makes due with some very intriguing bassline rhythms, melodies, vocal chants and breaky hi-hat patterns whilst the B side - "Black and White", seemingly continues the idea, retaining the specific Roland sound, but in a much more industrial techno fashion, with a more obvious kick drum and looped out rhythms. Dark late night groovers by the Odopt bad boys, straight out the kitchen of Bar Simachev. "Horrungruang" is simply a killer track.

That night, we answered a regular call, something about crazy loud noises coming out from a basement. While driving to the area all I could think when I first heard the bass stomping was: man, whatever, this doesn't even sound like music to me.' And we were at least a 100 meter away from the source of the sound. When we got there, after knocking several times on the door, we decided we had more than enough probable causes to bust in. After a warning, we kicked the door open. What we saw inside was a five feet tall woman jumping around in that cacophony. We screamed and she ignored us, my colleague then panicked and shot her with his Taser several times - she then simply pulled the probes out of her body shouting MOMENTS MOMENTS - and continued to jump around..

Delroy Edwards has come a long way. 2012 marked his Introduction into the world of Dance Music via Ron Morelli's Imprint LIES. After offering up essential dance floor singles like '4 Club Use Only' and 'Heart and Soul' Edwards' established himself as a producer with a unique touch and style. With a growing desire to control his own output and make a more significant statement, Delroy set off to start his own imprint, L.A. CLUB RESOURCE.

Creatively directing his own imprint became a platform for him and over the course of two years L.A.C.R. created one of the most palpable musical experiences in the field. The label released music in a range of styles from a span of generations, the only constant was the high output and stellar art direction. Many releases produced by the label head himself, Delroy's production were lauded for their piercing simplicity, grace and attitude.

In his first LP for the label, Edwards' has arranged a sincerely personal moment. The 30-track effort marks a special moment in his growth blending current interests in punk and electronics into an outsider narrative like no other. From Devo to J Dilla the influences across the record are subtle but respectful. Regardless of influence, Hanging at the Beach feels unequivocally new. Experiencing the LP for the first time speaks to the Californian
experience in its full range. Certain moments call to the beaches of Monterey while others speak to the sleeze that lines Hollywood Blvd. Edwards doesn't distance himself from the production style that has defined him and the label, but this effort is a long
playing collection, a directed, new moment for the
prolific producer.

After a short hiatus following their modular-only, desert recorded last album 'Whorl', during which SMD's James Ford found himself on production duties for everyone and their dog, SMD are back with bunch of techno cuts on their own Delicacies label.
Over a couple of months in Jas Shaw's newly re-located synth-dense studio in leafy Kent, which saw SMD once again experiment with live jams as the basis for their production, they've pulled together a selection of eight tracks for release as a series of four singles over the coming months.
First up is the double header of 'Staring at all this handle' and 'Sky on the floor' - a hefty statement of intent, harking back to their more austere earlier Delicacies work. In the same vein, remix duties come from ear-battering mainstays Perc and Volte-Face, both delivering uncompromising 'take no prisoners' approaches to the originals. SMD have thrown in their own dub mix of 'Sky on the floor' for good measure.
SMD fans will note that the earlier naming convention of Delicacies has fallen by the wayside - for the simple reason that we've pretty much run out of weird and wonderful food stuffs to steal names from. Instead, a semi-random automated process has been used to create the track names.

Seth Troxler's Play It Say It label welcomes Phil Moffa as The Butcha for an excellentnew EP entitled "202 Future". Featuring three killer tracks, it is yet another club readyoffering from this most on point label.
Phil Moffa, as well as being a fine solo artist, engineer and studio owner who hasworked on labels like The Corner, Plan B Recordings and Sublevel Sounds, alsoreleases on Hypercolour with boss man Seth. He has also collaborated with underground techno heroes like DJ Spider and Anthony Parasole as well as The
Martinez Brothers whom he paired up with on the Tuskegee label last year. As such he knows a thing or two about making dance floors move. His sound is robust and freaky, functional yet full of character, and this EP proves that once again.
Arresting opener 'More Bugged Out Please' is a massive cut with rolling rubber drums and wild acid lines spraying about up top. Clever filters open and close to add scale and dynamism and coarse claps help drive things along, meaning that dancers will be swept off their feet in the process.
Then comes the brilliantly absorbing titular track, '202 Future.' This one is much deeper and darker, more subdued but just as impactful. Paranoid sirens and alarms go off above slow, snaking, dirty and dark sub bass. Percussion grows in stature and becomes a focal point and then acid lines and spooky riffs join the fray to make this a truly tripped out and late night monster.
Last but not least, 'Acid In The 1st Degree' ups the ante with a shuffling marriage between crisp metal hits that blow in a stiff breeze above buried deep kicks. The effect is uplifting and unsettling, and once a prickly 202 line rips up the track, it's another certified club anthem that ebbs and flows with real class.

Special edition 12' with remixes of The Knife's 'Stay Out Here' and 'Ready To Lose'. The Knife have called upon inimitable selector and producer Tama Sumo, who has remixed 'Ready To Lose' under the guise of Tarantism. R&S Records' Paula Temple has provided two versions of 'Stay Out Here', with the track also being remixed by French techno producer Kane Roth.

Taken from the monster compilation "Acid Rain" compiled by UK house pioneer Terry Farley we have Acid Rain sampler #1, A carefully curated selection of choice cuts spanning the many styles of Chicago's Acid House movement.

Sampler #1 is chock full of classic tracks and rarities that the seasoned House head and the newcomer will want to have in their record collection, DJ Pierre's fierce "Box Energy", Laurent X's "Drowning In A Sea Of House" & his anthemic "Machines" are all featured alongside Ralphi Rosario's 1988 cult classic "In The Night".

Hello listeners, blunt heads, fly ladies and prisoners..... This is the future of the music industry. Not the music, just the idea of the artists writing their own PR faffle. Next year I'll probably have to carry my own bags on tour too.......tragic. I have had a few years of working on other projects and shuffling about in loose trousers, but now I feel the time has come to release some more music for feet and floors. What I should say is that every time I tried to write techno/house/moonbeat in the last couple of years, everything came out as shitty tech-house.....The brain was just in an alternate mode, a mode for classical music and melody, but now it seems to have come back to techno so I here present some of its recent outpourings. It belched out Polka the first night I got back to Scotland, having left London. BabaYaga is named after a sinister-as-hell witch from a Russian story book we had as kids (check http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baba_Yaga) clearly designed to traumatise young minds. My traumatised mind made this tune, so it has come full circle. Mu is slower, for lazy, emotional dancers. I hope you will enjoy them and the excellent Sons of Tiki mix of Polka that accompanies them..... Send all hate mail to Vakant, I don't read it. Alex

Loaded with power and purity the latest edition of our series offers you a great selection of freaking crazy and kicking techno tunes. Our last compilations followed the basic concept of good club nights with an introduction part, the peak time and some cool downs and even after hour sounds. In contrast to this we open the clubdoor with P right from the start, no time for easy chit chat and soft entries - we want to move our feet and heads right from the beginning and here we are: Mirko Loko is in control for the beginning. His track Artificiel' is energetic, crazy and minimalistic at the same time. With destroyed digital sound fragments, yet consistently demanding, Mirko Loko opens the door and welcomes you to the club of P! Wouter de Moor follows with his Tesla Coil' - a speedy acid tune that has only one message: Freak out! With the pace, the simple structure and those crazy hihats - Tesla Coil' sounds almost like an old steam locomotive. The sounds hiss and the beat rolls and the clubtrain won't stop! Einzelkind & Robin Scholz present their Rhythm Factory' project next and their mutual work n.2guts . Another kickin' acid-tune, full of power with a energy loaded forward boost. Slightly slower than Wouter de Moor but certainly with a similar vibe the two tunes act as a perfect double-pack!

The first record on New York Trax Imports is a split EP by the Stockholm-based artist Dawid Dahl and Another Alias, a seasoned techno producer from Ireland. Dawid Dahl's 'Krig' and 'Gehenna' are two beautiful, yet intense and dark tracks. They are accompanied by 'Craic Fiend', a ruthless face melter combining fast tempo, distortion and a mind-blowing off-beat breakdown.

Chapter IV in the Wasteland series...

A second utterance emerges from the tomb of DJ ICE TITS! Who was this ancient priest of Memphis whose sarcophagus lies entombed within the Metaphasic Pyramid, inscribed with the Analogue Hieroglyph These five recently discovered FM transmissions from the underworld, entitled "Songs about Myrtle Avenue," may contain the key to this mystery.

J. Wiltshire follows up 2013's Hypercolour single, 'How It Is' with an offering that's quite a leap from his seductive deep house sound, gracing us with a hugely mature sounding slice of brooding electro body popping bizzness!

In its Original Mix, 'False Awakening' opens with delicate pizzicato synth plucks over a deadly electro-tinged beat that gets warped and crushed as dense sweeping strings and digital glitches come tumbling down on the unfolding arrangement. Like a neo-classical Underground Resistance, a funky as you like bass-line heralds in a discordant and haunting vocal line, which really ramps up the melancholic mood. All the while, the futuristic beat really propels this track along at an urgent pace. On his 'Clubby Tool Mix', Wiltshire digs into the mechanics of the track, slapping resonators on the drums and further manipulating the sound with some clever studio trickery.

Tuff City Kids, AKA Gerd Janson and Phillip Lauer, come fresh from singles on Permanent Vacation and remixes for Numbers, Crème Organisation and Visionquest with their take on 'False Awakening'. TCK come out guns a blazing with a heavy kick and abrasive hats, looping a fragment on the vocal whilst the stabby bass and 909 hats set the heady vibe here. A growling synth line unfurls and the remix pounds hard and heavy, a little melodic organ line its only respite from the pummeling groove. The duo throw in a beats mix, the 'Dub Copy', just like the old days, as a little tool to keep us all happy, job done!
