Harlem's legendary Disco label P&P and it's associated labels have long been cult favourites among fans of underground dance music for decades.

One of many labels operating under the equally legendary P&P family of imprints Sound Of New York, USA was operated by one Peter Brown, a truly colossal figure in NYC's music scene, it's catalogue still fascinates music lovers to this day. Covering a wide range of styles including Gospel, early Rap and Disco the label's output continually finds it way into the playlists of respected DJ's and selectors across
the globe. This super heavyweight double-header features 2 stone cold rarities from the labels vaults on 1 12" slab of wax for 2019!

Johnson Products kick off side-A with their killer, relentless groove 'Johnson Jumpin' which originally came out in 1979 on the label. This was truly an underground hit at the time and in the years to follow with it appearing in the playlists of Frankie Knuckles and many other clued up DJ's of the era. It's a dope keys led dancer with some serious DIY analogue synth going down all over it and the band are literally killing it the groove is so so tight! Essential stuff here. Flip this one over and you're in for another treat, Willie Wood & The Willie Wood Crew's version of the same cut, basically 'Johnson Jumpin' with some serious old-school Disco-Rap leanings, Willie spitting bars of fire all over the same funked out backing track. Both of these records, if you caught them out in the wild, solo, would easily set you back a few nuggets. Mr. Raoul K: After having met quite a couple of times while dj-ing in Greece, Timmy Regisford and Mr Raoul K decided to take their friendship to the next level: do a record together. Say hello to the 'Gongon Alt Mix' of Mr Raoul K's 'Moment Psychedlik'. Their rework adds am overall summery touch and softens the tribal beats of the original towards a more lush atmosphere. You're still welcome to lose yourself in the swirling synth sounds and mellow yet drving beats. Dance on. Watch out for Mr Raoul K 's album coming 2019 on Compost.

Claudio Coccoluto: With over 100 remixes, more than two dozens own releases and 70,0000 records collected and catalogued since the early 70's - Goats Head Soup' by the Stones being the first one he ever bought at the tender age of nine - Claudio Coccoluto is an tradenmark. He started an apprenticeship from spinning records on pirate radio stations to the all the world's most respected dance institutions. From television to radio programmes, his name and brand was exported overseas - The Italian DJ', his face was published in countless magazines (DjMag cover, July 97' and the new DJMag Italy in December 2011). An artist who accepts both the past and future of music production, he is surrounded by all the famous analogue machines of the 80's and 90's: Emulators, 909s, 808s, Vermonas, Akais, Moogs etc, but also obsessively experiments with the latest digital softwares and the explosion of the plug-ins'. His precipitation into the world of production led him to begin working on a project with Savino Martino and Dino Lenny, creating the record label - The Dub'. He collaborated with Subsonica on the production of one of the band's tracks on the critically acclaimed Microchip Emozionale' album. 1997 is the year of 'Belo Horizonti' (produced by Basement Jaxx). Claudio's most successful piece of music, which sees a sale of over 1 million copies worldwide and a definitive appreciation by a wide range of artists and critics alike.

In terms of creating history via the party medium, Claudio and Tina Lepre built the infamous Angels of Love' parties from the ground up, which he worked on for five years. However, his home ground has and always will be Goa Club in Rome - Italy's best club in terms of attitude and cutting-edge musical selection, one which was certainly nurtured by DJ Giancarlino, a man with whom Claudio has had a long- running almost brotherly musical relationship with. Via a mutual synergy and vision for what the club atmosphere should contain, the two founded the Thursday nights Ultrabeat' at the club. In more recent times, Claudio has dedicated more attention to his own personal night at Goa - Nozoo'.

Lehar's aestethic categories of the sublimity and beauty of nature find their roots in Romanticism. As you may notice while listening to Lehar's music compositions, intuition and emotion are the basis of his creative process, finally resulting in a near impromptu. Lehar's debut EP ‚Sargas' on Offenbach imprint Connaisseur Recordings has put him on the map of modern electronic music and represents his artistic manifesto: a mixture of sounds and atmospheres of dramatic effects characterized by intimate basslines and intriguing melodies. Lehar's EP Magic Realism on Diynamic Music, the indie single Number One Hero featuring Rush Midnight on 2DIY4, his contribution to the - 10 Years of Diynamic album celebration, his mini album - Picture released in October 2017 on Diynamic Music, as well as the - Penta EP he released on his own imprint in 2018, have consolidated his reputation as a producer. Thanks to the active work on the remix side and few collaborations with Musumeci, Lehar's music also appears on Compost Black Label, Endless, My Favorite Robot, Mood Music and Lost & Found. In 2018 he, together with Musumeci and Olderic, created the label Multinotes. In the same year he and Musumeci presented a new concept for a one night event called MUSE, in 2019 they will have their own summer residency at Heart Club in Ibiza.

Musumeci always has a deep passion for electronic music. He is successfully shaping and contributing a modern, forward thinking approach of dance music and club culture - made in Italy. With worldwide highly acclaimed releases on Innervisions, Diynamic, Connaisseur and a previous Compost Black Label 12 his state of the art house music received support by the likes of Mano Le Tough, Âme, Laurent Garnier, Tale Of Us or Ewan Pearson to name a few. Whereas Sicily based Musumeci, also part of the project Human Machine - making big waves with their 146 EP' , one of the masterminds behind the superb Italian underground label Engrave Ltd - and a top notch DJ of course!

For the first time ever on a 12' release, Patrizia Saronni's 'E poi' and 'Perché Dovrei', only previously released as a 45 for the tiny Pongo label back in 1984.

'E poi' is a female-voiced tearjerker sung over a heart-melting italo-electro-synth line, while 'Perché Dovrei' is a power synth-pop-talo teenage rebellion anthem.

But the most wonderful discovery on the actual master, has been a *previously unreleased* alternate version of 'E Poi', that didn't make the original release, which sounds crafted for today's dancefloors. Release will also feature a remixTBA. As common with our quality standards, repress is officially licensed and taken from the actual analog masters !

« Remixes » is a meeting of French electronic champions.
French Touch veterans I:Cube and Chateau Flight, trendsetting DJ Raphael Top Secret and newcomers Flegon provide us with remixes of the autumn released LP « Sphere Of Existence » by Antoine Kogut.
Where the LP explored atmospheric and experimental pop, « Remixes » gives us a perfect four tracker that is made for the dancefloor.

On side A, Chateau Flight transforms the title track « Sphere Of Existence » into a 90's Italo house banger while I:Cube does what he does best in his unexpected dub version. On the B side, Raphael Top Secret reworks « Current density » into a Hip House track full of jaunty vibrations and newcomer band/label Flegon fulfilled their goal of working with their all time favorite French Touch pioneer label Versatile giving us a Nu-Disco remix of the song « L 'oeillet noir ».

Rounding up five years of Heist also means we're releasing our fifth version of the Round Up. Last year's edition was full of highlights with Fouk remixing Nachtbraker's anthem 'Hamdi' and Alma Negra going all tribal on Nebraska's 'Big plate chicken'. This year, we've seen a lot of new faces on the label, which has brought us a fresh set of combinations and a couple of really nice revisions of the tracks that made our year.

First up is Detroit Swindle's take on Heist's latest signing Hugo Mari. They chose to remix 'Change ur ways', beefing up the dreamy original. They focus on a simple but effective grainy groove and added a twist on the bass to give a more 'warehouse' feel to it and play around with the lovely detuned keys and vocal chops of the original to great effect.

Alma Negra show you just how loose their limbs are with a Rhodes filled version of Kassian's Acid surprise 'Bad Habit', while the full B side is dedicated to Pitto's personal take on Adryiano's classic house track 'Me and you and her'. His version takes the track into a new territory that lies somewhere between balearic and dreamhouse. Whatever it is, it's got a lovely vibe where the vocal is complemented by airy pads and a touch of acid.

Kassian on their turn, have done a great job on taking Pitto's 'Treat me like a fool' into 4x4 house territory. They've opted for a sub heavy club track where reverbed hits and the vocal take turns over a solid house groove. Next up on the C-side is Adryiano. He's picked Detroit Swindle's moody-but-heavy album track 'Cut u loose' and does what he does best: a steady and nicely distorted filtered house groove that packs quite a punch. The final track of this compilation really is a great pair of artists: Hugo Mari and Alma Negra. Hugo takes the tropical warmth of 'This is the place' and adds a subtle punch with a smart percussion loop and some added pressure on the low end.

German producer, DJ and label-owner Phonk D, who has risen fast to stardom in 2018, is back once again on NDYD Records with his sequel-release Disco Goodies Pt.2, an outstanding four-tracker that should instantly do the trick to boost his career even further.
From Talking Vintage, an quite energetic floor-filler with a feel-good sound thanks to the percussions that will last in your memory for some time, to Gettin Down, a homage to the French 70s on the southern shores of the Cote dAzur, the charismatic producer keeps the level at the very top of the game. The b-side complements the funky ride with the pumping disco-sensation Can Do It while Disco Africana, with its lovely afro disco-touch rounds up the picture of the 30th release on the emerging German label from the city of Frankfurt.

In 1980, the 9th Creation began working on new music at a Modesto studio, South East of Stockton. The studio was suspiciously cheaper than all of its competitors. After recording weeks of material, the band discovered the reason. 'We didn't know that the guys that were running the studio were drug dealers,' A.D. Burrise recalls. 'There was a big raid.' All the studio's master tapes were confiscated by the DEA. J.D Burrise unsuccessfully sued the DEA to recover the tapes but to no avail. Luckily Mike Micenheimer saved cassette mix-downs of some of the group's songs from those sessions. 'A Step Ahead' is the the 9th Creation's lost album. 8 unreleased songs of pure soul, funk, disco and boogie.

We are proud to present this lost album for the first time. The ultra talented Jacob Arnold also wrote the complete story of the band that we are presenting with never seen before pictures.

Finally the CD version includes bonus tracks from the Love Crime 12', the Mellow Music 7' and 3 previously unreleased (rough) demos.

After a spell on the disco sidelines, Dublin label Fatty Fatty Phonographics are back with the 2nd instalment of their 'International Disco Mafia' series.

Extending its reach around Ireland and then again over the sea to Italy, it begins with a 13 minute disco trip by a young man called The Crown Prince of Waterford, with the wirey Catholic white boy spirit of Walter Gibbons in his veins.
The immortally titled 'Getting Fingered On The Waltzers' is overloaded with fizzing disco-rock dynamics, crazy organs and driving endless drum breaks that keep on pushing you all the way to an inevitable, gushing disco climax. Phew!

On the flip we have another Irish up and comer, Island Times, and his chunky disco driver 'Together'.
Just like his debut on the first volume, this one comes up trumps with a big, drum driven sound and a loose, live feel.

Last but not least, we're travelling up along the Adriatic from Trieste with Umberto Lumber, who takes a classic slow jam and pitches it down Baldelli style to a sweet cosmic sludge.

Ivan Neville's 'Dance Your Blues Away' was originally released in 1979 on Cookies and has been a much sought after wax ever since. This is the first official re-release since the original pressing. 'Dance Your Blues Away' is one of the great escapism records that fills dancefloors across the globe with its infectious bassline and uplifting lyrics. On the flip the Mighty Zaf from Love Vinyl works the great instrumentation of the original song and adds an extra dimension to give it a new life in 2018.

NYC label HOMAGE continues a hot streak with their third project from UK producer JVXTA (pronounced Jux-tuh). After an excellent debut on his label Hardmatter, JVXTA gifts HOMAGE with four NY-inspired deep house cuts. "Brawn" is an immediate tone setter. The banging stand-out made waves overseas prior to it's online premier thanks to Cinthie, who pressed it to dub plate and played it as the opening track at her Boiler Room set in Berlin. The remaining tracks offer a look into JVXTA's unique tastes, and listeners will find themselves lost in quick-fire deep jazz, dreamy 80s tinged house, and a rolling tribal cut that we wished never ended. Serious selectors take note, HOMAGE is not messing around, and this is a project that you'll reach for again and again.

Miami legendary producer Willie Clarke sat on this glorious Kat Roberts solo version of 'Stand Up For What You Want' since 1984 and we're happy to have worked with Willie to release these versions on vinyl for the first time. The 12" version with Les Brown was originally released in 1984 and is highly respected by collectors across the globe. The general feeling was that the song would have been better received with Kat pushing her vocals to the front and thankfully Willie had recorded two different takes of the song at the time when he recorded it originally. The song itself brings a positive message and provides Kat with a great platform to show off her warming vocals.

Amsterdam-based producer and DJ William Djoko has announced his new EP 'Whiplash', on his brand new imprint, DJOKO.

His latest release follows the critically acclaimed reception of his stomping single 'OMG' on seminal New York house label Strictly Rhythm in 2017, a feature on the lead release from Loco Dice's Love Letters LP and a remix of Cassius on Ed Banger last year. Whiplash EP is self-released on his newly incepted label, Djoko, an independent platform for William to showcase his fluid, eclectic and continually evolving style as a producer.

The four-track selection varies in style and tempo, from the motoric, muscular groove of dancefloor weapon Whiplash, to the funk-inflected disco house jam Bernice, whilst rooted within his distinctive synthesizer and drum-heavy blueprint. Whiplash features vocals recorded by William himself, in his own words: "Everytime you feel down and out WHIPLASH/ Everytime you wanna go out WHIPLASH/ Everytime the money's out WHIPLASH".

Sammy Bananas, known mainly for his work on A-Trak's groundbreaking NYC label Fool's Gold flexes his versatility offering up 3 flavors of piano based, club ready dance tracks on his debut EP for Bastard Jazz, the "Piananana EP". A Hundred Birds Orchestra will release a new maxi single which is cover version of Stevie Wonder's 'All I Do (Cleptmaniac Remix)'. The vocalist, Yoshinori Monta, is 67 years old Legendary vocalist in Japan.

A Hundred Birds Orchestra is the brainchild of respected Japanese DJ Yoku, A Hundred Birds is an ambitious live collective, performing across Japan since 1996. Already a popular festival orchestra, the group got a taste of international success in the year 2000 when overseas debut 'Batonga' was released on Francois Kevorkian's Wave Music. Fronted by Yoku, who acts as conductor at live shows and keeps the set running continuously like a DJ mix, the band perform an engaging mixture of covers and original material.

The Five track EP kicks off with a slinky jazz funk, balearic mover entitled "Camera Dans La Nuit" that weaves the influences of Wally Badarou, and early Brit Funk bands such as Freeez and Light Of The World into a melodic affair that could've come straight out of the summer of 1981. In fact the second cut ("Une Vie Elegante") wouldn't have been out of place on Level 42's Early Tapes if Wally Badarou had taken said band to sunny climes to record it.
The B Side eases us in with the phasing pads and circling arpeggios that we've come to expect from Rudy's Midnight Machine. Taking more of a Pat Metheny influence and combining it with a steady early 80s Jazz Funk feel ,which is all underpinned by Robin's thumb bass line.
It's the bass that get's the main feature in the middle cut on the B Side. "Secret Garden" is a melodic and reflective track with bold bass guitar melodies being held up by the ebb and flow of piano arpeggios. The finale, entitled "Shifting Sands", harks back to the previous two EPs with more electronic synth bass and drum machine textures, with a guitar solo giving us the required organic relief.
With early DJ support from Hunee this release is set to be the sound track of the summer.

 DORIS TROY: WHATCHA GONNA DO (ft MYSTIC MERLIN)/YOU GOT ME BABYKnown the world over for her classic, 'Just One Look,' New York-born Doris Troy (who passed away in 2004) was much-loved among British soul music devotees for her dynamic live performances and treasured recordings for Atlantic Records. London became her home in the early '70s during which time she recorded for The Beatles' Apple label and became a renowned background vocalist on sessions with Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stones, Dusty Springfield, George Harrison, Billy Preston and many others. Doris' life story was the inspiration for her sister Vy Higgensen's very successful musical, 'Mama I Want To Sing!' with Doris herself playing the role of her own mother in performances throughout the world. Doris met UK music journalist David Nathan on one of her first visits to London in 1965 and they became lifelong friends. A few years after David moved to New York in 1975 as US correspondent for 'Blues & Soul' magazine, he began working on music with John Simmons (former member of the R&B group The Reflections and later, musical director for Stephanie Mills, then Whitney Houston); when Doris came to visit New York in 1979, David and John produced a disco-oriented session with her which included an original composition, 'You Got Me Baby.' The following year, 1980, David was working with the popular group, Mystic Merlin on some of his own recordings and asked if the group would do a session with Doris. The result was a reggae'n'funk revival of Doris' 1964 hit, 'What'cha Gonna Do About It' which has never been released. SuperDiscoEdits' founder Russell Paine has done a brand new mix of the original 1980 recording by Doris, produced by David Nathan and the result is the hypnotic 'Whatcha Gonna Do,' making its debut release as a 12' single on Nefer Records through SuperDiscoEdits.

Tom Laroye and Yam Who return to Glitterbox as Qwestlife with another soulful cut, for their latest musical offering, 'Hit It Off'. Written by acclaimed soul artist Benny Latimore, and made famous by Millie Jackson in 1979, the track was translated for dance music world when sampled by Tom Trago. Fast forward to 2018 and their take on the 70's classic features the unmistakable voice of Teni Tinks, a session vocalist to the stars, who featured on Glitterbox releases like The Shapeshifter's 'When Love Breaks Down'. Tinks brings true diva flair to the track, and with the joyful chorus and smooth production, Qwestlife once again demonstrate their ability to craft modern disco with traditional analogue techniques, creating glorious dance-floor vibes and honouring a truly classic track. London's finest deep and soulful house label, Makin' Moves now into their forth year, celebrate their 50th release with a unique one off 12' vinyl press! The team who have already worked with amazing artists and producers including Peven Everett, Kenny Bobien, Glenn Underground to name but a few present the DJ Spinna and Zo! remixes of The Foreign Exchange's club hit 'Body'.

The Foreign Exchange is an R&B/electronica/hip hop duo consisting of the American rapper/singer Phonte and the Dutch record producer Nicolay. The group have 6 albums to their name and are one of the most popular acts in the States. 'Body' is taken from their latest album released last year 'Tales From The Land of Milk and Honey'. Enter stage right, DJ Spinna (also a close from of the band's) who was entrusted with the job and what a job he has done.

Zo! also part of The Foreign Exchange band and having a great year as a solo artist following the release of his latest album 'Skybreak' turns producer and features a sweet remix for the RnB lovers out there.

Kicking things off is 'A Dis Yah Secret Friend' - A Secret Friend of messrs Asher and Forge at the legendary Inspiration Information nights. A proto broken sound, at a point where Sir Paul was playing with the influences, instruments, melodies...definitely an important piece in fusion history. Kaidi's 'Dis Yah On I Love' provides the beat.

First up on the flip is 'Find a Way'. Take two different versions of Stanley Cowells I'm Trying to Find a Way/ Trying to Find a Way (Both as deserving of an edit as the other), add a bus load of bottom end, beautifully layered percussion and a jazz mash up it is then! A Dingwall's classic in its origin guise, and a future classic in it's reworked (clouseau-esque) Rapscallion disguise.

'Little Rudeboy' closes things...Originally out in '84, only 1 minute at 32 seconds in length and strewn with proto Brazilian boogie synthesizers boogie vibes, a rework/edit of this has been a long time coming. Paired with the Cosmosis broken classic and a surefire dance floor stormer is upon us...Clever stuff indeed !

A regular at Cocktail d'Amore, Bell Towers is a Berlin-based Australian producer best known for his long-lasting collaboration with Munich's Public Possession. Next to that, a number of projects under different monikers - namely Rim Boys, an evolving b2b with Andras.

"I'm Moving To Berlin" is his first EP for Cocktail d'Amore Music. It's a sparkling celebration of the party; its influence on the city and on the producer's life tangents. "It's too late now / There's no turning back / I gave it all for Cocktail d'Amor..." Rohan confesses, while a hybrid EBM-synth pop sonic adventure unfolds.

What happens next is presented in "Sexual Intruder Alert" and "Approach and Identify". The first comes through as a quirky multidimensional future-disco tale, while the second plunges deep into the cosmic hole with punchy percussions and an euphoric groove pattern.

DJ Rocca returns to Wonder Stories with a stunning EP that only the Italian legend could produce. Steeped in his style, the eclectic producer submits three original tracks dedicated to his favourite types of pastas.

Known for his collaborations with Dimitri From Paris, and Daniele Baldelli, Rocca's playful energy and original song writing shines through. On remix duty is the elusive DJ Fett Burger who combines 'Spaghetti' and 'Fusilli' into a chaotic amalgamation of stabby synths and percussive drums.

'Spaghetti' is a left-field house tune with muted bass and eerie synth melodies. 90s house stabs and lo-fi broken beats amp up the track with sultry vocal lines accenting throughout. 'Fusilli' emerses the listener in a tribal futuristic landscape of a forgotten synthetic world. Think after hours of a blade runner rave. Rocca's studio prowess really shines here, as his analogue. synthesizer and drum machine collection are brought to the forefront.

'Penne' slows things down into a slow-mo funk disco-esque tune with sharp stabby synths and a growling bassline. Rocca, ever the multi-instrumentalist, let's his flute playing shine here, culminating in a seriously vibey aesthetic.

Opting for his pseudonym 'DJ Fett Birger', DJ Fett Burger combines both 'Spaghetti' & 'Fusilli' into a frantic and chaotic amalgamation of breaks and acid.The addition of an elusive vocal sample brings a mindset of late speed-induced warehouse raves.

Between the end of the 70's and the early 80's, a new sound appeared in London and its surroundings, a unique mix of Funk, Jazz-Funk and Disco labelled as Britfunk. Characterized by its raw energy that can put the needle In The Red, this up-tempo sound was a match for the UK's dancers and Jazz-Funk clubs.

This first release by French label Chuwanaga features some of the most exciting, rare and powerful tracks from that era compiled by the Parisian DJ and activist Saint-James, with bands such as Equa, Potion, Inch by Inch, Congress, Index and Spookey. It features also an insert with an in-depth focus on this musical era.

These young British musicians were equally inspired by the American Jazz-Funk productions and by Dub music and Reggae pushed by the Afro-Caribbean community who were at the heart of Britfunk's development. They gave Funk a unique British flavor. However, more than just a music genre or an enclosed expression of black Britishness, it was part of a genuine musical and social movement with its own dedicated labels, fashion sense and most importantly its own set of values that fueled the whole scene. Britfunk built itself within a multicultural evolution: black people, white people, straight and queer, all dancing in the same room to the same loud sound.

ncouraged by the high demand for 'Foundations Vol.1', which saw DJ Spinna and Kai Alce join forces to release the Cajmere classic 'Brighter Days' on 7' vinyl, the second volume of
'Foundations' sees the pair digging even deeper into House music history, selecting a pair of tracks from Chicago legend Tyree Cooper. The first cut on our strictly limited 7' pressing was
originally named 'Video Crash', then re-titled 'Acid Crash' on a bootleg version released around the same time. Whichever name you prefer, this 1988 track hails from an era of creative oneupmanship in the Chicago underground. The story goes that Marshall Jefferson and/or Lil' Louis created a jam called 'Video Clash' in the mid 80s (there's still some controversy about who made it, so we'll say no more). Keen to go one better, Tyree hit the studio to make a track called 'Video Crash' and in the process he created one of the most potent and recognizable Acid House tracks of all time. On the flip side and originally released back in '89 is Joe Smooth's 'Too Deep' mix of another Tyree classic: 'Hardcore Hip House'. A crossover anthem, Tyree's original version paired rap vocals and James Brown cutups with raw House beats. Fellow Chicago DJ Joe Smooth shows off the
flawless, crisp production abilities that would later see him producing for Destiny's Child, New Order and Whitney Houston with this superb, timeless Deep House remix

Having been around for almost a full calendar year, the sub-label PNP has already made quite the name for itself during the past several months. Managed by producer Fede Lng, this imprint is a spin-off of his already successful parent label Axe On Wax, which is responsible for exposing the world to such artists like Kirk The Flirt, Jesse Bru, Trudge, and Mall Grab.
Although Axe On Wax specializes in a more traditional sense of house music, PNP appears to be all about the disco - a way in which Fede and his friends can release edits of their favorite tunes of old. For DJs looking to spice up their sets with unadulterated funk, look no further than their upcoming record PNP 003, which features songs by Tom Jay, Braga Circuit, Pacific Bureau, and Fede Lng himself.
