Our second vinyl release 'Apus La Cariera' comes from Mihai Pol and it is an organic reinterpretation of the musical influences that Mihai gathered and perfected him as an newly emerging artist.
TRCKV02 is harmonious flared release with sounds pitching having been placed in a frenziedly yet smart allegory, only to create a well rounded three track release. 'Apus La Cariera' follows a mystical allure to its journey, whereas 'Raw' is more of an unpolished track, especially aimed to be a rough piece of the release. 'Prepareu' on the other hand intrigues the B-side with an uneven story to tell.

Indigenous Electronic is a recently launched vinyl only label, seeking to showcase a combination of both known and undiscovered talent. The label's first release is a 4 track ep, by Siamak Amidi, the creative director of Analog Room in Dubai, as well as a producer, dj and Volt music label boss. The EP reflects the producer's experience with the confluence of both analog and digital synthesis. The A side presenting newer material with the B side some of his older unreleased works. "Unconditional Love" a stripped down affair, deep, dynamic and ethereal without ever losing the focus on the groove with it's tight production. "Retro Floor Vison Aspect" takes us further into trippier post 5am territory, also stripped yet with enough going on to keep the senses tantalized, the standout hook to the bassline, swirling micro electronics with a variated jacking high hat, tried and tested. Siamak's "Tool" is a deep techy driving affair, with light haunting pads above and throughout track with original use of effects on the high end percussion. "You Think You Know It" is a rolling percussive track that comfortably rides the boundary between house and techno, with well defined low end and sweeping synth pads that once again demonstrates Amidi's abilities in the mix down to not swamp the track or dilute the groove. An EP for the dj's dj.
youANDme is a duo that has long been associated with the Berlin scene and quality house and techno. They have released on the likes of Cocoon and Desolat amongst others, and run their own Rotary Cocktail label, plus Polymorph and a few other mysterious outlets. Picking up props from big name players and at home remixing the likes of Seth Troxler and Lawrence, this pair has nearly a decade in the game behind them, and it shows in their accomplished sounds.
Opener 'PPPPP (Diva Mix)' is a truly compelling house track with an effortlessly groovy feel, disco fried stabs and smooth wood block hits that glide the thing along. It is party starting yet subtle, big yet clever and has some firing vocal samples to really set the track alight.
The just as essential Drunken Diva Mix is a rework that has playful drums dropping in and out, bigger stabs and more cut up energy thanks to lots of careful tweaks. It is freewheeling and charming and cannot fail to make you move. Lastly, an instrumental version is supplied for purely physical dance floor deployment, and is sure to be devastating.
Early support coming from the likes of Dubfire, Groove Armada, tINI, Huxley, Visionquest, Jon Dasilva and more

Bongo Joe's 45s series continues, presenting for the first time music from the past. This fifth single focusses on legendary Algerian kabyle rock band Abranis founded in 1967.The band pioneered the fusion of chaabi (traditional) music with 60s-70s western rock, proudly singing in their own berber kabyle language while wearing hippy rockers outfits. Their shows - in deeply influenced by Pan-Arabism conservative Algeria - were often cancelled by governors and the band once was arrested by the police, generating riots. They kept on playing and recording until mid 90s.This 45 presents two majors tracks from the band:Chenar Le Blues, released in 1977, was a big hit on Algerian national radio. The band's response to The Doors. Avehri, released in 1983, shows the band's obsession with merging different music styles with the North African tradition. This one goes strangely reggae

Beef Records' latest 12" brings a flavour of the underground sound of Sydney. Jaded & James Petrou are two guys behind the city's infamous party Kinky Disco and have now locked themselves down in the studio to produce two hypnotic underground cuts. 'Toni's Pain'is a moody, chugging deep house cut using a sample of Toni Braxton that twists her up in all sorts of new ways, while 'Rollin Stone' gives similar treatment to The Temptations/The Undisputed Truth's classic vocal. The title track comes backed by two of the most in demand artists right now - INXEC and No Artificial Colours. First remixer INXEC (aka Chris Sylvester) is in a white-hot streak of form at the moment with particular highlights on Crosstown Rebels and Leftroom. The second remix is by the No Artificial Colours duo who are equally on form with recent plays of their groovy tracks by Jamie Jones, Lee Foss and Maya Jane Coles. The NAC remix of 'Toni's Pain' is getting great support already and has been licensed for a future Ministry Of Sound compilation.

Recorded in Cleveland, OH October 2017 by Andrew Veres.
Artwork by Ren Schofield.
Ren Schofield has returned with a new installment in his notorious "LP" series for Spectrum Spools. "LP" has all the earmarks of the classic Container sound with it's uber-mangled, saturated tape garble and headlong tempo macabre. However, this new set of tracks feature an attention to composition unlike much of the Container we've previously heard. While the tracks unfurl across two sides of wax the contours and jagged edges of each sonic sculpture display a new refinement while maintaining the full capacity to vaporize any club floor with Container's traditional recklessness.
Miraculously, this new "LP" manages to incorporate some more traditionally 'musical' elements thus far untouched upon in the projects output while simultaneously delivering it's most damaged and blown out offering yet. Despite leaving a trail of albums that get more intense with each passing year, this "LP" is bar none the most loaded. The tracks feature a trajectory with narrative, surrounded by broken acid basslines grating against disintegrating tape loops. This is the infectious and singular hypnosis Container has become well-known for. Overloaded drum patterns, washes of feedback, and dying melodies - it's all here and somehow it's restructured to be different and better than ever before. With this latest installment, there are no longer shambles but merely dust left behind.
As Container continues to evolve in an upward motion, "LP" presents a refreshing and welcome new chapter.
MixCult Records & Radio stocks 2 entirely dissimilar environments. Side A is an action-packed, riveting acid hymn by Low Orbit Satellite. Side B submerges into a dub driven mesmerizing world by Heavenchord. Both Russian virtuosos associate to build this unyielding masterpiece.

After Smallville rebuilt Hamburg House City with a lovely bunch of records, catalogue number 19 seems to be a big surprise. Amsterdam's duo Quince (Delsin/ Rushhour) and Benny Rodrigues evolve an outstanding synthesis of a classic Detroit Techno Vibe and newest sound technology. With a bass blowing beast turning into deep space the A Side is created for dancefloor's magic at its best. Based on strings, chords and 303 'Sweet Potatoes' on the B Side is a deeply kicking Detroit Electro tune. Awesome!

We here at Watergate Records are ecstatic to bring you the first single release 'Do Me feat. Khan', from Tiefschwarz in anticipation of their stunning new album, 'Left'. Along with a couple of carefully curated remixes by from two of the most prolific and unique remixers working today, Roman Flügel and Frank Wiedemann, the complete package is a trifecta. The original 'Do Me feat. Khan' is fully rooted in Tiefschwarz's cryptic dance floor approach, intricately balancing the serious and the absurd through the call and response of an almost comedically vocoded voice and a smooth, slick talking murmur. Khan's voice joined with a continually climbing bassline, lush percussive melodies and infectious drums result in a cut that is perfect for, and will shine, any time. Going a different direction by barely using the vocal, but staying very true to the original is Roman Flügel. Taking the original bassline and shortening the loop to 3/4 time, Flügel has devised a hypnotic tail chase that continues from beginning to end only to be accompanied by the whip of a big hi hat and wild 909 claps. Finally, it's the Frank Wiedemann Orchestra Remix, and it's pretty safe to say that this will be one of the anthems of the year. Aptly titled, the remix is a magnum opus conducted by a master. An enormous ensemble of rich strings and delicate melodies that build and swell from start to finish.

ADULT. '20 years ODD.'
Over the course of the last two decades, Detroit-based duo ADULT. (Nicola Kuperus and Adam Lee Miller) have released six albums and nineteen EPs and singles across some of our favorite labels: Mute, Ghostly International, Thrill Jockey, Clone Records, Third Man Records, and their own label, the revered Ersatz Audio. November 1998 marked their first release: the five-song 12" 'Dispassionate Furniture'. This September, twenty years later, Dais Records is proud to announce ADULT.'s seventh full length album: THIS BEHAVIOR.
The album began as 23 demos written and recorded in a remote cabin in the woods of Northern Michigan during the dead of winter. In total isolation, and with a reduced amount of gear (a modified version of their live setup) on the cabin's kitchen table, the duo were completely immersed in an incessant inescapable studio of their own making - looping, repetitive analogue sequences grinding away day and night. At the end of the intense demo session, a handful of peers were enlisted by the band for the difficult task of paring down the demos into the final album.
The result is 10 tracks of uncompromising dark electronics, showcasing ADULT.'s return to aggressive and energetic dancefloor mastery. Album opener 'This Behavior' alongside the follow-up 'Violent Shakes' (which ascends into synths wailing like warning sirens over Kuperus's commanding vocals) set the stage for an on-edge listen, while the heartbreaking 'Silent Exchange' unfolds as a beautiful sad synth dirge. 'Perversions of Humankind' breaks the mood - driving the listener into a slow and low groove before the frantic album midpoint of 'Irregular Pleasure'. 'Does The Body Know' is the album's post-punk anthem, with irresistible singalong 'we're out of order - we're undefined!' The latter half of the album drives forward with 'On The Edge (You Put Me...)' and 'Lick Out The Content', refusing rest and demanding movement and response. 'Everything & Nothing' emerges slowly from sparkling synth textures, snowballing with nervous energy into an acid techno stomper before the album comes to a close on the icy landscape of 'In All The Debris', a goose-bump inducing slow electronic mantra that closes the curtain on a massive album.
Artist statement on the album's writing process:
'It's confounding how often we negate the importance of disconnecting, getting weird, getting lost. Discomfort and joy intertwined. Day to day, theatrical self-presentation set to rest in our frantic social world. Public becomes private, almost too private. Looking out into frozen woods as you deliver your vocals. For who For what Taking walks along icy shorelines as you try to overcome writer's block, as you try to overcome yourself. Not seeing anyone for days and weeks on end. Overwhelming thoughts and feelings come rushing in; anxiety, fear, purpose, banality, futility of task, power structures, power struggles, pointlessness, collapse. You're faced to face yourself. Your awareness is heightened. You are neither here nor there. You are in a liminal state As you work in this isolated cabin your windows become mirrors.'
"Are we distortions. Are we distortions, perversions of humankind. Are we distortions. Are we distortions, twisted somewhere in time."
Played by Ben Sims, Dave Clarke, Coyu, Truncate, Amelie Lens, Laurent Garnier, DJ Spider, Andre Crom, Spartaque, Timmo, Joton, Sasha Carassi, Thomas Schumacher...

After the analog-retro-MS-Dos spirit of the 2015 Wasteland project, Delta Funktionen returns with a new journey directly forward to - or from - the parallel world! Presented on 2x12" inches on his own Radio Matrix imprint, it sees Niels Luinenburg handling his trademark techno-electro sound: strong beats combined with futuristic sounds and atmospheres. Whether the beats are broken or straight up four to the floor, the atmosphere always has the vibe of an interstellar journey and a melancholy of longing for better worlds. Where the tracks on the first disc focus on lush melodies on top of rounded grooves, the second disc sees a more rough and somewhat abstract side of Delta Funktionen.

Our number 25 is a very special remix pack from Exium's A sensible Alternative to Emotion featuring reworks from Jonas Kopp, Silent Servant, Oscar Mulero and Tripeo. Four different points of view about real techno, from analogue workouts to modern techno vibes, with extra remixes on the digital release.
Silent Servant is the first on duty, taking The 12th Planet as target, reverting it into an arpeggiated sythn monster, hypnotic, repetitive, reverberated, a perfect abstract mixing tool.
Jonas Kopp uses subsonic warfare in his reconstruction, with a subterranean beat for starting that soon fills the space with an industrial beat and hi frequency drones...no jokes here.
Oscar Mulero gives two remixes from Massless Particle, one for each format, the vinyl one is about flanged synths, clear kicks, a breathing beat and repetition as a therapy, subtle 808 claves and some hi frequency drones complete the menu. The second version is a more liquid approach to the previous one, lower tempos, more reverb and everything under a blurry fog that makes it mental and dubby.
Last guest is Tripeo the rising holland producer working two remixes too for Dronid and Parallel computing, Dronid shows the intrincate part of Tripeo's mind, broken beats, sweeping ambient drones, synth bleeps and pads, an ideal intro track for serious techno sets. Parallel Computing suffers the Tripeo treatment at its best, with his raw beats, his crazy step sequences and his analogue bleeps, old school feeling and truly original point of view.

The 12th installment in the Falling Ethics series is an adventurous piece of work.
Tensal and P.E.A.R.L. team up on this split EP to showcase their production styles which are mainly
built around crafty drum loops and buoyant synth experiments.
Tensal takes care of the A-side where he takes care of one flaming Techno cut for the dancefloor which is followed up by two adventurous pieces
of electronica. P.E.A.R.L. also took care of three cuts on the B-side. The opening track ''Joy Of Rapture''
is a straight forward demonstration of machine heavy Techno.
''Fall Before You'' is a deep and soul wrenching cut that showcases P.E.A.R.L's more delicate side. Red Flame is a piece of horror reminiscent ambient.

The Long Now is a duo featuring Richard Norris and Finnur Bjarnason, with special guests. They mix piano, voice, string section and electronics with the sound of the Icelandic breeze. The music sits within the post ambient, electronic, contemporary classical genre, with a strong sense of landscape, mood and melody. Richard Norris One half of the Grid, alongside Soft Cell's Dave Ball, one half of Beyond The Wizard's Sleeve with Erol Alkan... Richard Norris has a thing about working as a duo. With many productions and remixes under his belt, including tracks for Warpaint, Brian Eno, Tame Impala and many more, Richard brings an electronic sensibility to the Long Now. He has a long term passion for ambient, electronic, drone, soundtrack and modern classical music. Finnur Bjarnason Finnur Bjarnason is an Icelandic musician whose background is in classical music. The performance will be accompanied by a lm by BAFTA award winning director Kieran Evans, recently shot in Iceland. Moon Harbour's Orbiter series showcases label associates old and new, and now hits a third instalment in fine style with cuts from Sabb & Manu Gonzalez, Raw District, Re.You & Lazarusman and Hauswerks.
First out of the blocks are Sabb & Manu Gonzalez. The former is a Swiss producer and boss at SK Supreme and released on this label back in 2015. The latter is an Ibiza artist who has a show with Ibiza Global Radio and counts the likes of Luciano and Marco Carola as fans of his work. Together, their 'Daydream' track is a warm and rolling affair with a bubbling bassline that really gets you involved. The addition of some wailing diva vocals adds some dance floor intensity that makes this one a summer anthem in waiting.
Next is Raw District, a Belgian duo whose debut on Moon Harbour in 2016 showcase their edgy and stripped back style. Here they offer 'Shame', a deep, economical cut with crisp hits and an emotive and intense vocal line that really soars as synth ripples add colour.
Regular label associate Re.You then links with acclaimed South African vocalist Lazarusman for the absorbing 'YAWYA'. It's a woozy number with tumbling tribal percussion and trippy synths all complemented by the poignant vocals of Lazarusman, which are delivered with real conviction and will make for a standout moment in any set.
After releases on labels like Hot Creations and Material Series, Hauswerks then closes out the EP with no nonsense, upright house jam 'Let It Be'. It has slick, kinetic drums that coerce you into action and smooth synths that ooze classy party vibes.
Once again then, the latest instalment in the Orbiter series packs a real punch across four essential tracks.

Even with the first sounds, the organic structures can be heard - and felt. A crystalline crackling of the hi-hat very close to the ear, as if the black volcanic sand of Lanzarote would trickling on the metal. The echo of the samples does not point to endless distances, rather, it swings up the cochlea and enters into a special world in which sound material develops a delicate self-life.
It is the world of Denis Rodd, producer and label founder of Cochlea Music, who moved from the Canary Islands to Berlin. His first EP on Cochlea Music is Embryo. Everything stands at the beginning, also in the first track, 'Crisalida', Chrysalis in Spanish.
With the likes of Someone Else (Little Helpers), Noah Pred (Thoughtless, Highgrade), Demian (Kompakt), Slam (Soma Records) Carl Craig (Planet E), Ron Costa (Sci+Tec) among others.

The true techno dream team of Dubfire & Oliver Huntemann revisit their Elements project from a few years ago with a new series of killer remixes, ahead of a retrospective album coming later in the year. Terra - originally released in 2011, did all sorts of damage to dance-floors across the globe. Now, it's all set to do it again thanks to this Joseph Capriati Remix. The Italian techno headliner has grown into a major force on the scene in recent years, and here delivers a signature slice of muscular, driving techno - taut, dramatic and devastating. Paired with a remix of the now seminal Feugo Julien Jeweil's remix also hits the spot - the track received a 2016 overhaul with some of Jeweil's signature flair. The Frenchman has been a constant figure on the top of various charts and line ups for some time, and its easy to see why - Fuego is stripped back machine funk primed for big systems and even bigger moments.

Heavy kicker at the hardcore Techno frontier... A Masterpiece offering one different idea at each tune : first is the big intro excitation one... Then comes an acidcore digger; b sides open with a F1 Doom Rave ambiance... and last track goes even more oldschool Rave.
This past year has seen the steady rise of Opus; a budding producer who has undoubtedly begun making waves within the dubstep scene for continuously crafting versatile, dynamic heat amidst his ever-evolving, idiosyncratic soundscape. Opus stands as no stranger to engineering a slew of notable beats, thanks to his seemingly intrinsic musical prowess coupled with a knack for reaching far beyond the constructs of conventions and expectations. This sort of ravenous creative mentality has earned Opus a debut release on White Peach Records as well as a subsequent release with Encrypted Audio, not to mention play support from the likes of scene heavy hitters such as Noisia, Bukez Finezt, Goth-Trad, Sleeper, Commodo, DIstance and Jack Sparrow.
Taking large strides forward, Opus's music is poised to find an apt home with Sleeper's boundary shattering Crucial Recordings imprint with the release of his Sharpie EP (CRUCIAL018). Echoing the philosophies of Crucial Recordings' standard-setting and ever-expanding output, Opus's Sharpie EP stands as a perfect addition to the imprint's multifaceted and boundary shattering catalogue. The release unlatches with its title track, 'Sharpie,' laden with an undeniably energetic melody coupled with puncturing percussion and indistinguishable yet highly effective vocal sampling. Sharpie's equally robust B-side boasts the powerfully dark, dizzying and volatile 'Peel,' packed with a surprising dubby twist, culminated by 'Newspeak;' a vigorously twisted, string-driven conclusion to a truly distinct and exceptional collection.
