House Vinyl New Releases - News

Network’s 30th Anniversary celebrations continue with the re-issue of the debut release from the iconic label. The launch of the logo with Neal Howard “Indulge” in 1990 caused a sensation, with the track being instantly acclaimed as a Classic, and Network noted as a new label to watch.

“Indulge” hails from Chicago, but sounds like its’ DNA is Techno City Detroit.
A futuristic call to dance from Windy City mystery man Neal Howard, whose previous releases “The Gathering” and “To Be Or Not To Be” had already reached cult status. Those gems, and “Indulge” were recorded by Chicago label Phuture Sound. Plans were being laid for the transformation the Kool Kat label - the UK outlet for Kevin Saunderson, Derrick May and Juan Atkins - into Network, but the dilemma was finding something “really really special” for the first release. That search for the perfect beat ended when Network’s Neil Rushton on a visit to Chicago heard the just mixed “Indulge” on a cassette played by Phuture Sound boss Terry Baldwin, who after prolonged negotiations agreed to cancel a USA release so the new UK label could have an exclusive.

The label design for this release is a replica of the original DJ Promo 12” that introduced Network to the World with exactly the same tracks; Terry Baldwin’s much loved Club House and Deep House mixes of “Indulge”, coupled with “To Be Or Not To Be” remixes by Chicago’s Bad Boy Bill and Detroit’s Derrick May. network - it is what it was...

SVN is back with his second solo album, this time on his own imprint SUED. Coming strong with a new approach. As he states himself: "A change of equipment and the loss of my old tape machine marks a new era in my sound and production."
SVN goes for shorter tunes, he gradually moves away from the long track format, and goes more towards a melodic song style. A record strongly built on samples and melodies. Samples in the vein of 90's east coast hip hop, and melodies uplifting and atmospheric that has a distinct 80's epic movie score feel.
Always with a touch of house, in his own original and distinct character in production, and with the familiar lo-fi sound that has become a trade mark from SVN's Neues Deutschland Studio, executed in a beautiful, and elegant way.
A true highlight among SVN's vast catalogue of records!

"Palinoia returns in 2021 with an EP I've been eager to release for ages now. Andrew Tighe is an unknown name to everyone, but his ear for quality shows a wisdom that extends further than this, his debut release. Originally sent to me when I was first forming Palinoia, there never felt like the right time to get this out despite how much I've adored these three tracks. With my mindset being away from clubs and more to the deeper side of music, I'm ready to get this triptych of deep, dubby, soul-infused house to you all." - Eric Cloutier

A special 12 inch release on Afternoon Delight Records to celebrate Frankie Knuckles Day featuring remixes of the Directors Cut and Kenny Summit track, Loving You featuring Yasmeen. The A side is taken by two Roberto Rodriguez reworks, the first a sun-drenched soulful remix and secondly a classic percapella. On the flip, Ian Pooley gives two deep, late night interpretations of the original.

Prepare yourself for a deep mind massage as we welcome Ditian to TAU. The Berlin-based producer blends melodic influences with the more mystical side of electronica to create a sound that is nourishing for the soul. With releases on Innervisions and its sub-label Exit Strategy, Ditian has established his natural flair for producing transcendent compositions that ignite the dance floor. On TAU he delivers four new tracks - each one has its own unique characteristics with Ditian’s signature flavour at their foundation.

This is the first release on effgee’s newly founded label called fellice. Having released on Quintessentials in 2019, effgee decided to create his own imprint in which he can combine both music and art/design. As a drummer, the groove plays an important role in his tracks. This release “Good Morning” brings you three organic house cuts to make you hopefully feel felice.

Jonny Rock a familiar face on the London house and disco scenes is recognized by many for working behind the counter at Phonica Records & Blackmarket Records during the 00's and as the dude for playing the guitar in 'Freaks' project. Rock skillfully joins the dots between the old school house, underground disco and boogie vibes in a party setting.

Heist welcomes rising star of the French House scene Marina Trench to the roster with a stunning release full of classic house cues across 4 warm & deeply grooving house cuts.
With only a handful of releases on DJ Deep’s Deeply Rooted (2019) and Wolf Music (2020), the young Parisian producer is only just getting started. And as far as starts go: This release on Heist will definitely open some eyes & ears across the house scene.
With her elegant and soulful sound both firmly rooted in classic deep house as it is contemporary, Marina showcases a mature sound that’s rarely seen with emerging producers. With a smart choice of samples, beautiful original vocals and smooth pads,
Marina layers her tracks effortlessly into warm compositions that work just as well in your living room as in any sweaty club.
The aptly titled opening track “Sunrise” is a smooth affair with pads oozing in and out and a faintly recognizable and definitely catchy choice of samples. An open electronic bass gives the track a serious tone, but it’s the melancholic chords that make you doze off reminiscing the days of endless festivals in the sun.
“Carry on” is built around classic house stabs with cleverly layered arpeggios and textures giving the track it’s depth. The main attraction here is the trumpet solo by German wunderkind Christian Altehülshorst. As far as chance meetings go, this is a nice one. Christian (who we met through our mutual friend Lorenz Rhode) was our impromptu trumpet player during a show at La Machine back in 2019, where Marina played alongside us. They got talking and before we knew it, we had this track in our inbox. It’s jazzy deephouse at its finest.
On the B-side, we’ve got “Over there”, where Marina layers here own vocals on an infectious house groove and the closing track “Wake up” featuring the emotive vocals of French Algerian artist Sabrina Bellaouel. The latter track evolves around a LFO’d pad and a minimalist groove, giving the vocals all the space to shine in a track that could easily be the one in your set that sets the room on fire.
As far as label debuts go, we could not have hoped for a better one. We’re sure we’ll get to see a lot more of Marina in the near future and hope she serves as a shining example for other emerging producers.
Enjoy the music,
Maarten & Lars

We are elated to invite the multi-talented and multi-national musical mastermind Portable in to the Circus family finally. After many years of traveling in similar scenes and orbits, and thoroughly enjoying his vast output on some of our favorite and best friends’ labels, the time has come to join forces with our now-fellow Parisian dweller.

The My Event Horizon EP is a truly creative treat, chock full of the charm and studio ingenuity that permeates all of his work, and a first look at what’s to come on his full length LP we have in store for you in the coming months as well. Two versions of the lead track “I Feel Stronger Now” are accompanied by an exclusive club cut, just in time for the world’s hopeful dance floor reopenings.

“I Feel Stronger Now” is one of those perfectly balanced tracks that is equal parts soft and edgy, mellow and exciting, and features a rich mix of sharp percussion, warm jazz-inflected piano motifs and Portable’s own inimitable dulcet-toned vocals, making it a sure-shot fit with the label’s modus operandi. The A2 track “My Art Sets Me Free” as the title may suggest, is a more abstract and artistic take on full-scale DSP dance floor equipment - we can already imagine hearing this on some of our most cherished club systems, head-down, fully immersed. Next up “I Feel Stronger Now” gets a fresh facelift treatment from Portable’s own and equally-notorious alter ego Bodycode, which follows suit to the pseudonym’s production quality, giving the avant-garde bounce of the original version a more syncopated and stripped-back feel, imparting a stronger physical sound bed with tasteful synth layering for the vocal Iines to ride over. And as a digital bonus addition to the package we have the Radio Edit of “I Feel Stronger Now” which is nicely tightened in all the right places to drive the point home for broadcast listeners, and further proof that this man’s music can be fully enjoyed in many settings - a big loving welcome to Mr. Portable!

Classic 1995 EP from the vaults of Roy Davis Jr.

Silat Beksi has been busy this year. Remarkably, this expansive double-pack on Burnski's Constant Black label - officially his second full-length excursion and first for six years - is the Ukrainian producer's fifth vinyl missive of 2020. Mate is a fluid, off-kilter and sonically detailed affair, with manipulated jazz samples, oddball spoken word snippets and pots-and-pans percussion mingling with outer-space tech-house grooves, bouncy deep house rhythms, the eccentric stereo panning of Ricardo Villalobos and the locked-in hypnotism of Eastern European minimal techno. It's a sonic palette that guarantees thrills throughout, with Beksi doing a brilliant job of showcasing his distinctive production style.

The latest from Dam Swindle's Sound Support alias, Méhari, will keep you warm and bouncy, wailing and flailing, all through the fall and winter.

Big electro energy on this five-track EP. Funky, sassy synth melodies snaked around tight and punchy drums that instantly make you wiggle like a worm.

It starts with the title track, a thumper with a herky-jerky swing, then slides into a slightly more melodious and noodly territory before completing with “Detox Your Feelings,” a high-speed Hi-NRG and Italo disco rocket ship off this planet into interstellar space.

Everyone's favourite trans-national non-denominational dance imprint joins forces with the dark lords of CALYPSO - the ever prolific Mexican Inigo Vontier and his Argentinian cohort Thomass Jackson.

Few producers are hitting the nail on the head of the zeitgeist with quite as much impact as these two, and their label has crystallized their sound. Frequently play-listed by the likes of Red Axes, DJ Tennis, Chloé and more, Calypso have found a niche for their hard-hitting, voodoo-licious tracks.

Inigo drops fierce power-chug that will melt minds at peak-time moments at Mayan Warrior or MN Roy, Mr. Jackson turns in eminently playable mid-tempo grooves sure to fit in to the early and late hours in all kinds of sets.

Dublin area rapid trax from DART on Hot Haus Recs In Effekt! Previously spotted on Shall Not Fade’s Basement series & turning heads with his brilliant Feel My Bicep mix, here we get a showcase of emotional-deep-house over 3 tracks.

Next release on the label is a collaboration between ISSUES x Woodland studios who run a competition with more than 100 entries on remix duties for Detlef’s “Dub Clap” and Campbell Fryer’s “MOODY”. Honcho of Woodlands Iglesias delivered a strong remix of Dub Clap with heavy basslines, rolling beats and the vocals slightly pitched to create a darker vibe. RN ISMO remix of Dub Clap was definitely close to the sound of ISSUES with a driving bassline, minimal beats, quick drops and a playful vocal breakdown.

On Campbell Fryer’s MOODY the first remixer is Woody who delivered a super groovy remix with a funky bassline, straight beat with swing hihats and atmospheres at the background merging nicely with the beats, using the riff in a different and extra playful way that creates an amazing breakdown. The last remixer for MOODY is Shuski who delivered a housy version of the track. Straight funky beats with a big driving bassline, synth stabs and arpeggios through out the track and some wicked breakdowns with clever fills before the track kicks back in.

As disco legends GIORGIO MORODER and CERRONE were pumping out disco hits in 1979 a lesser known BERNARD ESTARDY was releasing leftfield disco under aliases like ESTRAK LANCIOS, L.E.B. HARMONY, and UNIVERSAL ENERGY. Limited reissue with pic sleeve. Mystery colored vinyl.

We are super excited to introduce our label Altered States with this four track EP by one of the label-heads Green Ink, a showcase of his versatile production with dancefloor focus.

After his first vinyl release on Andrew Thompson’s and Auntie Flo’s HIGHLIFE Imprint, and collaborating with Nicola Cruz, bedroom producer Green Ink gained confidence in his creations. Dedicating most of his free time to music, the idea of an own label developed. Together with his good friends dj n/a and visual artist Han$ Wor$t the concept of “Altered States” materialised, and finally comes to life with this release.

Back to 1990 and the Uk's Bleep Techno scene is in full flow. Following the success of 'Psyche', Peter Duggal set about raising the bar yet again with his follow up
'Labyrinthe' under his new alias Demonik. Originally released on the UK's hugely influential Rham! Records, this EP perfectly soundtracked the early rave scene in the UK and beyond.

'Labyrinthe' itself needs no introduction, a truly mesmeric and highly sought after warehouse anthem. The previously unreleased 'Labyrinthe' (Raw Mix) keeps up the pressure. Retaining the heavyweight sub-bass, this mix heads off into a sparser world of machine made funk and rave inducing stabs, whilst skittish bleeps and tones overlay the sinister chords and strings. There's yet more gold from the vaults in the form of '6-5-0-2' a once lost, and now found, future classic of the genre, where infectious melodies interweave and really stir the electro soul. Lastly 'Frenzy' adds an uplifting synth riff, making this episodic ride a true Bleep and Bass Bomb!

'Labyrinthe' has been legitimately re-released with the full involvement of Peter Duggal and features previously unreleased tracks and never heard before versions that Peter has unearthed from his DATs. This is an essential archival piece, lovingly remastered by London's Curve Pusher from the original sources especially for Mint Condition. 100% legit, licensed and released. Dug, remastered, repackaged and brought to you by the caring folks at your favourite reissue label - Mint Condition!

“After a few years and a few big singles, A-Trak and Armand Van Helden's wacky dance project has its first full-length. It's crammed with jokes, skits, and quite a few memorable grooves, operating at one intense speed that never lets up.” – Pitchfork

Fast-rising producer Mr.Diamond makes his debut on Hot Creations this June with the three-track Dance With Me EP. The release continues a standout 2021 for the young talent, which has seen him release on Saved Records already this year.

Dance With Me sets the tone, with jazz-fused horn string samples cosying up next to stripped-back kick-hat combos. It’s a signature peak-time offering that highlights the young talent at his best. Bongomastic takes on a darker edge, as murky drum loops converge on punchy late-night percussion. London Bass rounds off proceedings, a pacey minimal-laced number that you can’t help but move your feet to.

Mr.Diamond has taken the electronic music scene by storm in recent times. His maiden release came in 2019 and he’s since gone on to produce for a selection of contemporary house’s leading labels, including Solid Grooves Raw, Saved Records, Seven Dials and many more besides. Dance With Me EP marks a career milestone, a testament to his keen-ear for production, and sets the tone for a bright future that will see him continue to rise up the global dance ranks.

Taking melodies from various sources, the artist built the record with a common orientation contrasted by various asperities for each track. Wrapping up the year is something very special from Scotland's Lord Of The Isles, a veteran of the venerable Firecracker / Unthank and host of his own Dusk Delay & DFSANT imprints. On this timeless album he flits between a rich array of spicy moods and warm atmospheres, from the delicate and romantic 369, to cosmic dub roller Betula, to the cheeky tropicalia of Novwo, to the deeply heartfelt title track. Lord of the Isles is a masterfully expressive musician and Acceptance makes it sound effortless.
