In 1964 legendary Jazz icon Nina Simone released a new single "Mississippi Goddam", a song that marked her turn to political engagement with Civil Rights protest songs. It is the single's B-side that brings us here today, with a truly wonderful remake of "See-Line Woman" by Atjazz featuring Dominique Fils-Aimé.
Setting sail on a mammoth musical journey in 1995, Martin Iveson aka Atjazz has become well known over the world for his creativity & constant delivery of well-crafted music. Showing no signs of slowing down and having remixed many Foliage gems over the years, we are delighted to welcome Atjazz for a debut original production on the label.
Dominique Fils-Aimé is a Juno Award winning singer-songwriter hailing from Montreal, Canada.
Her musical inspiration draws from soul icons of the 40's and 60's such as Billie Holiday, Etta James and Nina Simone.
Dominique's sophomore album "Stay Tuned!" was released in February 2019 and brings to the centre of stage the resiliency of mankind in the face of adversity and oppression and pays homage to Afro-American history and culture.

FUSE revisit Rich NxT’s debut album as they welcome Skream, Seb Zito, Guti and Rossi to remix Natural and Other Side from the highly acclaimed album.
FUSE look set to build on Rich NxT’s much-lauded album in notable fashion as they welcome electronic heavyweight Skream as he steps out on FUSE for the very first time, whilst welcoming the long-awaited return of long-standing FUSE family member Seb Zito who returns to the imprint for the first time since late-2019. A wonky, off-kilter, and warping affair, Skream’s take journeys down a twisting trail of elastic analogue rhythms, sweeping electronics and tripped out cuts of Shyam P’s vibrant vocal to take things firmly into after-hours territories, before Seb Zito’s slick interpretation harnesses an abundance of rich UK flavours as skipping garage-tinged drums meet hazy pads, resonant top lines and skittering melodies to close the show in style.
On the flipside the London imprint welcomes two close friends in Argentinian favourite Guti and rising-UK talent Rossi. to offer up fresh interpretations of NxT track ‘Other Side’ featuring Shyam P. Up first, the always excellent Guti offers up his slick and classy remix, welcoming a signature blend of rolling organic percussion beneath snaking top lines, groove-fuelled bass licks and Shyam P’s infectious and hazy vocals, whilst Rossi.’s no-nonsense remix sees the UK hotshot draw for rumbling sub-bass, icy hats and sharp drum licks throughout his driving take on the production.

After Jimmy Batt setting the bar very high with his “Retrospection” LP, OPIA Records invite two modern day innovators of dance floor energy to create their eleventh release. Taking up a side each on the record we have Rakya’s Idris Bena, and Slowlife affiliate, Paolo Mosca - a combination you never realised you needed.
Bena kicks things off with his elastic grooves and futuristic melodies in “Miss K”, constantly evolving, a certain signature of his sought after sound in recent times. “Blood Moon” is another playful journey that leads you towards “Home”, a pacey and animated encounter.
On the flip, Italian maestro, Paolo Mosca makes his mark with his precise and well executed productions. From a DJs point of view “Different Places” is a statement track, to catch the party in the moment, beautifully arranged with deep strings and a vibrant organ line. “Orion Trance” steers the ship in a different direction, melding together rubbery acid bass and euphoric synths.
Two producers in their element, sitting strong on the evergreen OPIA imprint this summer.

Madmotormiquel is next up to join the Bunte Kuh family, this time offering up a tantalising pair of original works alongside two remixes from Christopher Schwarzwalder and Iorie. The title track for the EP is up first as ‚Someone To Take Me Home‘, easing you into a rich, rolling groove partnered alongside delicate, reverb soaked piano parts. Closing the a-side is Christopher Schwarzwalder, who ups the energy from the original work with punchier percussion and techy melodic movements.
‚Sleepwalker‘ is carried by a marching rhythm and simplistic bass line, easing off the gas only to welcome trippy, dreamlike synth lines that take the experience to another level. Iorie then strips things back with dark growling bass lines and vocal snippets, rounding off the collection in a vast sunset of colour.

Blaq Numbers welcomes Explorer Of The Humankind back to
the stable with his latest work, "Where Did Y’all Go?".
Combining lots of handmade drums & machines with hazy
synths, he explored a new set of influences while writing and
recording from 2018-2019. The four original compositions
now find themselves on a brand new 12” backed by remixes
from Detroit’s Byron The Aquarius and Larry Houl. "Where Did

relationships in the age of social media. Not much is known
about the Lyon native, but his music has built him a keen
worldwide following since his debut productions surfaced in

This is the signal, pushing vibes out to Andromeda. Nostalgia that touches the future. Obscure but surprisingly universal. It serenades, excites, builds up, bleeps, and destroys, raving vicariously for those born later, rocking down the house, waving back, acid house texture, breakbeats, indulgent music, dancing together like it's the last day, bright and burning fast, too much flavour for the future. Following their hugely well-received, refreshingly outlandish debut EP for Phantasy, Israeli club outsiders Red Axes return to the label with another three-track delight of leftfield dance entitled 'Sound Test'. Debuting on Phantasy in 2018, 'Sipoor' by Red Axes was massive.
The release received critical acclaim, not to mention heavy support within the club realm from DJs like Call Super, Jennifer Cardini, Ewan Pearson, Fort Romeau, Massimiliano Pagliara, Chloe, and many more.
Highly soughtafter by those who've heard Erol Alkan unleash it in recent months, 'Sound Test' kickstarts Phantasy Sound's 2019 - a rolling tool for a dance floor sliding into another dimension, constructed around a dramatic, numeric countdown.
A minimal, skeletal build builds hroughout to one of the most out-there breakdowns in recent rave-blotted memory, as the Axes slowly but surely rebuild their house to even more outlandish new proportions.
'Shabak Shalom' quickly snatches the record back from outer space and drags it deep into the basement, zoning in on the gritter, strobe-ready sound that defines the duo's most club-ready work.
All of the Axes' weapons of choice are deployed as unusually as per usual; militant drums, battered electronics, fucked- frequencies, wiry post-punk guitar lines and lovingly drowned traditional instruments blend to create their own special, slightly-menacing interpretation of hi-NRG.
Finally, on the unapologetically sprawling and immediately effective closing number, 'Kookoo Pa-pa', Red Axes demonstrate their inherent talent, if proof were ever needed, of conjuring rolling, simmering tension in otherworldly shades. Those who enjoyed the cartoonish motor FX of 'Teroof' will be delighted to find themselves found into an even wackier race this time round, hitting on the origins of Chicago jack, acid meltdowns and screeching no-wave.

Theo Parrish teams up with Amp Fiddler on "Ghetto Proposal" - a deep grimy chugger of a track featuring vocals from Kitten Koroi and John Douglas on trumpet. Instrumental version on the flip.
Launched at the start of 2021, No Art’s new vinyl-only series No Art No Name marked the introduction of a new series created to focus solely on the music featured across each record, and not the artists and names behind them. Having sold out the first EP ‘NANN001’ within days, November now welcomes the second drop on the imprint as they ready three fresh edits from an anonymous talent under the label’s ongoing Unknown Artist guise.
Serving up a trio of cunning red-hot exclusives, the second in the series delves deep to offer a wealth of soulful house and disco-influenced edits across two sides of heat - perfect for bustling main room dancefloors all the way through to the early morning afters.

On the Corner's DJ tool and eclectic favourite, Versus is back for a second instalment. There are some familiar faces occupying this tasty wax and some new comers pushing the needle further-out On the Corner.
As 2015's Versus sold-out we'd already acquired some fresh production talents and sent stems over to new and old friends alike.
Get your atlases out as we criss-cross the globe introducing you to artists from afar-afield as Nairobi, Manchester, Pune, Iringa, Detroit, and South London.
We kick off with Jinku, self-proclaimed space monkey hitting OtC wax for the first time. The producer is one-fifth of the East African Wave, a collective of young DJ Producers who are revolutionising the East African arts scene. As a 'sponge' of different influences, Jinku lays down a balearic reworking of fellow Nairobian, Makadem's 'Nyako'.
Of the returning artists none is quite as mysterious as the elusive and incomparable Black Classical - discordant-Ra-like organ meets Brazilian poly-rhythmic percussions bludgeoned with a heady slab of rave breaks make for 'Jeje': already a firm fave of Gilles Peterson.
Boundary pushing Contours brings a new swing to the 'Agama' groove, following the underground smash from Al Dobson Jr back where it all started with the release of Tamar Collocutor's first album in 2014.
Wonky psychedelic perambulations through the Traab al-Beidaan (Sahara) from Sam Jones who adds another construct to his mantle. Group as Salaam have a cassette release forthcoming and this construct comes from field recording sessions conducted during a feast out in the shadow of Africa's largest Windfarm by label head Pete OntheCorner. Vibes!
On the B-side, sprightly producer Daisho from the Indian hotbed of Pune brings a layered percussive heater hanging in the atmosphere with ominous synth b-lines and rightly tipped to be in the realms of and early Four Tet mover.
The release enters into a deeper shamanic dance territory in the final third: the beathead's elixir, M.I.X.G. and their massive xylophone (Embaire) are back and gets a heavy acid rerub as South London's FYI Chris appear OntheCorner wax again with
'Drop the beat'.
Peter Croce, head of Detroit's Rocksteady Disco brings it deep into the early hours for this euphoric 4am fix of OntheCorner's
afro-latin-electronic party experimentalists, Penya.
Solkyss are back with a four track blender. On the A side are two thumping tracks from the Stockholm based duo Subdued Camel - one rolling deep and one soaring airily. On the B-side we find Solkyss regulars with two tracks that differ in character. Lonely Shark is an afterglow tune with a driving beat set under an experimental soundscape. From Ensam comes another sun struck, funky piece with that signature cinematic dreaminess he showcased on his debut EP Eee.
Groove Access is back with a split EP by Dan Ryan & Ed Nine. Dan Ryan starts off Side A with "New Home", a super vibrant cut taking you on a deep atmospheric ride with a fulfilling bass line, groovy chords and strings programed with timeless x0x Drums. "Fuzzy Tape Dreams" is quite unique with crunchy and knocking drums crafted with smooth and hypnotizing pads, occasional piano hits and leads with minimal vocals sprinkled in. Ed Nine takes over Side B with "Another Day", which starts off with a glowing intro followed by a punchy rhythm. The groovy feel of the track is carried throughout with simple chord hits and dreamy fillers. Lastly, "Distant Reality" is a serious groove consisting of head nodding patterns with aggressive stabs, pads, and leads that will move the dance floor.

The landmark hundredth single on Phantasy, Erol Alkan’s ‘Automatic’ accompanied with two remixes that further take the London DJ and producer’s psychedelic club vision in distinct directions. The original 12" pressing, limited to 100 and hand-numbered, sold out in less than an hour.
Palms Trax builds on the sensual reverie of Alkan’s production with an electrifying rework full of touches both French and personal. Throwing out a gloriously chic bassline, the Berlin-based producer sprinkles carefully considered sweeps, stabs and filters on a trip to timeless house euphoria.
Mirroring the first ever artist to release on Phantasy in 2007 where Alkan remixed 'Engine', LA Priest proves a perfect candidate to reconstruct the label’s centenary single, a task he approaches with typically esoteric nous. Coaxing a heavenly aura from the original’s glorious loops, Sam Eastgate’s collection of reengineered and self-made analogue equipment soon progresses to melt Automatic’s rhythm into sticky cosmic bliss.

Pinder has been spotted making sterling moves around the UK garage resurgence alongside Peaky Beats, but now he's going it alone on the seemingly unstoppable Instinct. It's great to hear this promising producer in full flight, dropping the kind of high-definition, willfully crafty 2-step that by rights should have dancefloors popping off. With enough smarts to satisfy the headphone shufflers too, these four tracks play with classic UKG tropes in artful ways, displaying a razor sharp instinct for how to maximize impact with the right hook at the right time.

Liberation Party Records welcome the long-standing producer and vocalist Tempo O'Neil under his Project 16 pseudonym, for a new EP that draws on his long life of musical experiences having first started singing aged just 14. A storied life has seen this London based Luton-er become a member of the Saxon Sound System, key player in the acid house revolution, employee of Big City Records and producer with a long list of credits on numerous top labels. Always evolving his sound, he is as vibrant in the studio now as ever and still exploring new ground. Opener 'It's Alright It's Okay' is a gorgeous deep house track with warm, effervescing keys and bass and the sort of timeless vocal that immediately tugs at the heart strings. Pads swirl like cosmic clouds and add scale to this most heady groove. Next up we have the irresistible 'When Beauty Comes', with bleeping keys dancing about the scales as pained singing sucks you in and the weightless drums suspend you in space..
Closing out this fantastic EP is the superb 'Take Some time out' that picks up the pace with a Larry Heard influenced house sound. Poised chords and sci-fi feelings permeate the crisp beats and more of O'Neil's syrupy, heartfelt vocals add rich and irresistible layers. This is a classically inclined EP that feels fresh while packing a real emotional punch.

"Discoteca" feat. Sofie might raise some eyebrows for various reasons. First of all, it is the tone shaped announcement of a new Keinemusik album. That's right, &ME, Rampa and Adam Port joined forces once again after 2017's "You Are Safe" to lay down a sophomore cycle that surely couldn't be more thrillingly introduced as through this very tune right here.
"Discoteca" is a flowing and densely arranged dancefloor meditation, reminiscing of those post-peak moments, when time fades into insignificance and consciousness somewhat subordinates to rhythm. The track perfectly captures that feeling, beautifully graced by the lush vocals of Sofie, transmitting an unbroken declaration of love to the Discoteca in just a whisper. Sofie is the ever busy, multi-faceted, California born, Vienna residing artists with a second album on Stones Throw in the making and various ongoing proficiencies on her schedule, bridging fine arts, classical music and pop culture.

Let’s go out! A suggestion that might sound like an absurdity in current times, but feels like the true promise of Bella Boo’s debut EP on Running Back. The Studio Barnhus affiliate refines and elevates her bright, genial and dissenting take on deep house into something greater than its parts.
What was supposed to be an album with features and collaborations was turned into an introspective solo-practice by Covid-19 and subsequently into this rich 8-track-EP. A writer’s block and the pitfalls of the aforementioned deep house genre were overcome with the help of Axel Boman’s knowledge of football philosophy and a 140bpm tempo advice. So, everything fell in its right place.
„Let’s Go Out“ is like the gateway into a wonderful coherent musical universe and an entertaining listening experience. Imaginative and sparkling, tender-hearted as well as bouncing when it needs to be. Bella’s EP is as much of a tribute to the UK scene that inspired her over the years as it’s entirely her own and distinctive thing. Like a perfect mixtape, it ebbs and flows, and once you reached its finish, it makes you want to start again – or to go out.
Short version: Bella Boo’s bright and genial debut EP on Running Back. Eight tender-hearted, imaginative and bouncing tracks that are as much of a tribute to the UK Scene that inspired her over the years, as they are the gateway into a wonderful coherent musical universe that is Bella’s own entirely.

Over his two decades in the game, Philipp Lauer’s work always manages to mix the best of steely German engineering with deep emotion; industrial-strength beats with the warmth of an old sweater.
On his new LP “Answers 2 Trouble” (out April 2 on Permanent Vacation), the Frankfurt-based musician once again delivers the goods: Nine tracks stuffed with elite beat making and delicious, 80s-influenced songcraft, drawn together by clever arrangements and expert pacing.
After a handful of high-profile collabs over the past few years with the Sex Tags crew, Skatebård, Fabrizio Mammarella and fellow Tuff City Kid Gerd Janson, the prolific producer sounds energized to be back behind the wheel for a solo spin—his first LP since 2018’s “Power.”
All the Lauer hallmarks are here: Flashes of modern house and techno, a few drops of acid, layers of gorgeous synths and those wistful melodies that recall an era when New Order played live on “Baywatch.”
While the longtime Robert Johnson Club affiliate hasn't shied away from his John Hughes influences in the past, this time around, Mr. Philipp pushes his sound further into pure pop than ever before.
Especially on cuts like “Make It Stay” and “Valentino III,” Lauer swaps moody dance floor workouts for breezy, seaside drives.
On the former, new collaborator Dena plays Cosey to Lauer’s Chris, and the pair craft the kind of song that would sound perfect on a teenage spin in mom’s convertible VW Cabriolet.
Not that he's gone all pop, though.
The Italo-tinged “Altalenanti” lands squarely in Lauer’s patented toughness + grooviness equation, while album highlight “Ghost” (alongside frequent vocalist Jasnau) is all shouty vocal hooks, clenched fists and stomping bass lines.
Lauer tells us the new record was completed in his brand-new, purpose-built studio. While we imagine wiring together all his vintage gear must’ve been a major chore, thankfully, the results sound effortless.
