What leads an individual to walk the often obsessive path of the crate digger Raiding filthy basements and accumulating back-breaking stacks of wax on a tantalising search for the unearthed groove, Kon cites early exposure as the source of his calling: "One of the first physical records I fell in love with was Electric Light Orchestra's El Dorado. The music on that LP is incredible, climatic strings, and full of amazing songwriting. To digest and absorb music with such depth is the best thing for a 4 year old. Get 'em going young! I know this is part of the reason why later in life I searched further than what was just on the radio." Kon's father was a drummer, and his love of the break not only inspired the quest for the funkiest rarities that birthed the iconic On Track and Off Track compilations, but also informed his approach to the edit. Check the 'Nite Time Remix' of 'Hooked' as the perfect introduction to his style: breaking things down to the bare essentials, the rhythm section takes on a life of its own in what has fast become the definitive version of an already classic disco workout. Kon's output has given new life to this art form, and on the road to mastery he studied the golden touch of editing and remix masters Walter Gibbons and BBE label-mate John Morales. The natural next step for this beat-juggling heavyweight was a return to the crafting of his own original productions. Bringing together a close-knit team of musician friends, Kon has revived a longstanding partnership with BBE and recorded his debut album titled On My Way. Kon's first productions were committed to tape in the early 90s when he a formed a rap group called Mikst Nutz. Their demo was given heavy rotation by DJs Stretch Armstrong and Bobbito, and, in 1992, Jive Records came close to signing the project. We are also treated to the unmistakeable vocals of UK talent Ben Westbeech, who Kon first met at the Southport Weekender. I was with Amir leaving to catch the car service back to our hotel when I heard a guy yelling our names. Turns out it was Ben, and I had no idea he knew about our On Track compilations. And in turn he seemed to be shocked that I knew who he was! I've always liked Ben's work and I was staying in London with him when we first cut this tune. It was originally recorded to a totally different track that was all samples. The musical arrangement of On My Way reflects a deep understanding of dance floor dynamics, and Kon honed his craft as a DJ playing at house parties in the 80s, coming from a party rock background where all styles were thrown into the mix. He remembers looking up to Boston radio jocks like DJ Jesse McGee and DJ T-Clark, while records like Cash Money & Marvellous' Ugly People Be Quiet influenced his technical craft: They contained scratches that were ahead of their time. I really didn't have any mentors, except for these records and the mixes those guys would do on the radio.
Kon's love for wax is for life, but he has little time for those passing judgement on a selector's format of choice: Its a DJs skill set and taste that matters. Music is meant to be shared and spread to as many as possible. Who cares what medium I choose to play my music from We are messengers, period. Nobody owns the sounds that are blasting out of the speakers except the actual musicians. You may own the little piece of plastic its recorded onto, but thats it. Fools need to stop trippin. Im not caught up in the hype. I still buy vinyl and I know its the coolest medium to store music on. Nothing can beat it. The feel, the smell, the labels and so on, but I cant take vinyl with me when I die. Now the sounds that have fed and nourished my soul, I take with me everywhere I go. I can take them with me to the grave, or where ever I end up when my physical shell can no longer take it. The music itself is staying with me forever.
In On My Way, a rich cultural heritage has been

Half Baked have had a strong year with releases from Sakro, Shonky, John Dimas, and SIT, but now they present something a little more mysterious from db jam.
While the name may be unfamiliar, you get the impression this is an inside job from the Half Baked family, and the sound certainly fits right in on the label. The A side track, "I Met A Leprechaun In A Russian Forest" locks down one of those impossibly smooth house grooves Half Baked's identity is built on, and then drapes that groove in the finest silken pad sounds.
What makes the track stand out is the playful cuts and samples pinging around in the mix, adding to the jam notion of the record. "He Told Me Bullshit" occupies the same sound world but heads in a slightly darker direction, which Arno then refigures into a shivering broken techno refrain suited to more spaced out moments in the cut and thrust of the party.

Absolutely seminal house music from NYC's Logic crew which counts Wayne Gardiner and Roger Sanchez amongst it's ranks. That's right, this isn't some hyped, 2017 fad stuff, this is the real deal 1990 deepness! Amazing that this record still stand's up some 26+ years later, it's still regarded as classic today. The production is utterly flawless and the overall vibe of the whole record is hard to put your finger on, it's the perfect balance of tough drums and melodic orchestration matched with some of the deepest pads and synths out there. Even a nod to the legendary Mr.Fingers on 'The final frontier' comes off oozing with class, many have tried, few have accomplished! Overall 'The warning' is a benchmark record, released early on in Strictly Rhythm's existence helping shape the sound of the label as a whole. The fact that it's still a record that gets regular spin and continues to influence today in 2017 speaks volumes about the music and label's legacy.
'The Warning / The Final Frontier' has been skilfully remastered from all original master sources and fully licensed and reissued officially for 2017.

Circoloco resident Luca Cazal teams up with Italian talent Andrea Fiorito as the pair deliver their ‘What Is Music’ EP on Infuse this June, backed by a remix from Mariano Mateljan.
An Ibiza mainstay, with regular appearances at DC-10 for Paradise and his long-standing global Circoloco residency, See Double boss Luca Cazal has established himself as a quality and consistent force within the minimal house scene and beyond. An avid digger with an innate ability within the studio, Cazal’s career has also welcomed sets at internationally renowned institutions including fabric and Club der Vissionare, with late June now welcoming a debut appearance on Infuse alongside fellow Italian Andrea Fiorito. An artist driven by idealism, with a sound palette that takes in influences and productions from experimental techno through to lighter more delicate and orchestral sonics, Bari-based Fiorito has himself served up material via the likes of Housewax, Broquade, Get Physical and Cynosure to date, and here we see the two talents combine for the very first time to offer up ‘What Is Music’, accompanied by Infuse talent Mariano Mateljan on remix duties.
A-side opener ‘Tornado Girl’ is a groove-fulled rolling production armed with slinking hats, evolving basslines and warping lead synths, whilst on the flip, title cut ‘What Is Music’ delves deeper into darker, more paired back afterhours aesthetics with slinking organic percussion and sci-fi electronics throughout. To close, Croatian favourite Mateljan’s lively interpretation welcomes sharp kicks, distorted vocal hooks and haunting melodies, punctuating the package in impressive fashion.

Phillipi is set to release his debut solo EP ‘Amadurecimento’ on November 29th via DEEWEE, the multi-faceted label and creative space operated by brothers David and Stephen Dewaele (2manydjs, Soulwax).
São Paulo duo Phillipi & Rodrigo dropped their beautifully uplifting debut album ‘Paciencia’, which earned the backing of an eclectic array of supporters including 6 Music, Mixmag, DJ Mag, PAPER, Tiga and Joe Goddard + more.
While ‘Paciencia’ pulsated with a euphoric beach party vibe, Phillipi’s solo project explores much darker territory. By uncompromisingly maximising the bass alongside a relentless beat, lead track ‘São Paulo’ is immediately oppressive and ominous. That intensity only amplifies as it’s blown open with tribal percussion, almost whispered vocals and glitchy synth stabs. ‘Vibe De Verao’ then takes a more progressive approach, with minimalist techno constantly evolving in surprising and inventive ways.
The EP’s second half extends Phillipi’s impossible-to-pigeonhole approach. In complete contrast to the preceding tracks, ‘9000’ is cinematic in scope and lighter in tone, feeling like the score to a lost ‘70s sci-fi cult classic that’s been reworked for 2019. And ‘Gelo Seco’ caps an unorthodox sonic adventure by setting a spliced, stuttered vocal simple around a dancefloor-friendly soundscape - making the title, the Portuguese phrase for dry ice, entirely appropriate.
As with all DEEWEE releases, ‘Amadurecimento’ was recorded, produced and mixed at the label’s inspiring headquarters Ghent, Belgium.

1nce Again is back again, this is the first of two 12's containing one of our absolute favourite tracks from prolific producer Ken Duke aka DJ Duke.
Closer was orginally released back in 1994 on Duke's Power Music Records and the amazing Klubb Kidz mixes quickly found it's way into many DJs record bags, including label boss Mad Mats who rates the 'Flava Dub' as one of his favourite deep house cuts of all time.
If u ever heard Mats spinning a house set chances are big you've heard this mix blasted loud!
First up for remixes duties this time is Mark Seven, Parkway/Parkwest label owner, a true DJs DJ, a passionate music lover and record collector extrodinare.
The So Close Mix of Closer is deep house at it's finest, an homage to the classic Prescription sound keeping it ultimately atmospheric. The Stalker mix continues on the same vibe yet develops into something more meaty and pumping during its course.
Together with the original 'Klubb Kidz Flava Dub' and the Mark Seven mixes this release got everything a true deep house head needs.

Tibi Dabo returns to Crosstown Rebels with his second EP of the year The Distance We Share. His third EP will follow in the Autumn in advance of his debut album forthcoming in 2021. Globally revered American producer David Morales turns in two outstanding remixes that demonstrate contrasting aspects of his illustrious career.
The Distance We Share sees beautiful melodies standing both individually and combined to create an ethereal atmosphere. Starting with golden keys that drop into a twinkling lullaby, rising and falling throughout the track before ending with danceable energy. Komorebi opens with melancholic chords, the bassline moves at a relaxed pace over a rhythm of hi-hats and cowbell, sensual distorted vocals and delicate chimes induce a feeling of romance. The first remix of Komorebi from David Morales sees him add his legendary Red Zone stamp of New York influenced house music, building tension with darker tones, chugging percussion and hypnotic loops. On the Diridim Mix Morales turns the vibe to that of his newest label, with classic soulful electronics adding a deep sense of warmth.
Still in its infancy, the Tibi Dabo project from Max Guardans has seen his unique emotive take on electronic music and sound design catch the attention of influential figureheads. His debut release the Ende EP on Sasha's Last Night on Earth imprint demonstrating his remarkable talent. With his determined attitude and unrelenting thirst for exploration impressing respected tastemaker Damian Lazarus, he was immediately signed to Crosstown Rebels. His last two EP’s Her Moon and Disbelieve on the imprint, initiating a run of unrelenting form that marks the start of big things to come.

"Crosstalk" is a collaborative effort between Theomatic's artists - a sort of a peer reinterpretation of each other's works. First on the A-side is Acos Coolkas' "Skyline", from their first-ever single on Theomatic, released in 2005, receiving a sonic facelift from An-2. This is followed by An-2's remix of D-Pulse's first track from their latest full-length album, "Gratitude", which first appeared as a mystery track on An-2's 2018 SoundCloud mix, now seeing the light of the day by popular demand, and is not to be missed. On the flipside D-Pulse deliver a two-part remix of An-2's "The Gift" - previously only available digitally. These two stunning pieces, filled with ethereal soundscapes, will delight any discerning Balearic-sound connoisseur. Rounding things off is Acos Coolkas' remix of An-2's seminal

Alinka makes an eagerly anticipated return to Crosstown Rebels with the outstanding Control Transmission, her last appearance on the label featuring in 2016 collaborating with Shaun J. Wright. This solo release demonstrates her versatile sound that is inspired by her experience in scenes across the world.
Control Transmission begins with robust 909 drums as the claps resound with force. The bass, a razor-sharp, distorted and filtered charge is introduced commanding attention, further electro inspired samples and effects are layered in this powerful track. Day Zero captures the spirit of the Mayan jungles, with synth that propels with energy, ebbing and flowing with mystical chords that give a nod to the famous festival spearheaded by Damian Lazarus.
Born in Kiev, Alinka has a unique power on the decks and in the studio, influenced by the city of Chicago, with toes tipped in Detroit techno and Europe’s key cities. Immigrating to Chicago with her family as a child she immersed herself in the scene, digging for records and becoming resident for Justin Long’s Dotbleep party at Smartbar. In 2012 an impromptu meeting with former Hercules and Love Affair vocalist Shaun J. Wright changed her life. The pair launched their Twirl parties and label whilst continuing to evolve their collaboration.
The result has been an impressive catalogue of material from, with music featured on Jackathon Jams, Crosstown Rebels, Leftroom, The Classic Music Company and of course Twirl. Now living in Berlin, Alinka has used this base to play at parties across Europe including the likes Panorama Bar and Circo Loco, whilst regularly returning to the US to play for promoters such as Ladyfag. 2020 will she Alinka’s evolution continue, with a packed schedule of releases and her newly launched label Fantasy Life.

The Daniel Avery supported Russian DJ Dimitri Veimar preps his debut 17 Steps release, the ‘Planet EP’.
Planet opens up with screeching atmospherics, chuggy percussion and a brooding bassline that works it’s way towards a breathless synth line perfectly suited for pre-dawn hours.
Dean Grenier’s classy stripped back and sped up flip of the title track retains a crisp four-on-the-floor rhythm tailor made for the Berlin clubs he calls home.
On the B side 'Snowfall’ carries on where the A side left off. Electro synths and muffled breaks portray the sounds of a UFO control deck transporting the listener to an other worldly utopia.
The closing track ‘Alps’ is a stunning downtempo club tool that ends up forming the emotional centrepiece of the EP.

Inner Shift Music is proud to welcomes back Jacksonville aka Chris Lyth, who was last seen on the label with the successful Fragments EP. Machines of Loving Grace is aptly named with four stunning tracks we have come to expect from studio maestro Jacksonville. The title track Machines of Loving Grace pulls no punches and takes you on a captivating voyage with its unique blend of vocal lines, chords, bassline, broken beats and percussive sounds. This is followed by Nepune 4; a cosmic spacey hypnotic track with acid lines and a harder 4/4 beat. On side B the track Sebastopol Rd has a gorgeous depth with its warm chords and vocal line over a deep house rhythm that takes you on a mesmerising journey. The EP finishes with a nod to Jacksonville's first EP on the Inner Shift label with Fragment 7, this track has a more ethereal feel with subliminal synthesised pads interweaving over a vibrant dance beat.

The Magic Silk EP marks ROTCIVs return to Luv Shack Records - with three fresh original joints, this time alongside brother in arms Das Komplex, who delivers two new originals on the B side.
“It’s the Magic” is an italo infused house track, brimming with dramatic leads, a super tight and intelligent drum sequence, deep harmonies and solid bottom end. While being a lot slower in tempo, “Your Highness” lacks nothing in the power department - a fat rhythm section and a soaring acid line are the spine of this extraordinary cosmic stomper. Lastly, ROTCIV takes us on to a trippy tropical island with the synth heavy shuffler “Moleggio”.
On the flip, we have “Silk” by Das Komplex. Starting off as an EBM track with industrial feel, it gradually evolves into a hypnotic chugger with a sneaky boogie Bassline. The EP closes with “Aurora”, a perfect blend of NY disco attitude, synthesizer weirdness and balearic sleaze.

Black Label Series 03 on Banoffee Pies Records welcomes new additions to the fold with another low slung collection of minimal house and breaks. Opening with patient mystery the label debut from Monotronique delivers 118 bpm sample heavy 'Baggage With A Secret'. Nicely warmed, the A2 turns for the floor with Freerotation resident Tom Ellis in control on 'Third Morning', a groovy roller with glitched vocal loops. The curveball of this release comes on the B1 with a garage inspired high tempo d&b track, '23 Ghettobee' from Filip Szostak - One to cool or shake the dance. The B2 invites Lyssna Records own Flord King with another micro gem for the head bopping late nights on 'Shanti'. Together the four tracks investigating different moods with a similar style. BP X

Tiffany, rising producer and label manager at the wonderful Planet Euphorique, and Regularfantasy of Total Stasis, with their sub heavy trance state track with rolling hi hats "Plush Egg” on the A1. The A2 comes from Kiev born techno artist Voin Oruwu who joins with futuristic break beat drum rhythms and swirling vocal hook on “After All". The B side takes a darker turn with raw and clean dance floor garage from another Bristol local, Hartta on “Trust Issues”. The B2 ends with experimentation from the classically trained UK musician Keppel, with game like soundscapes in “Atari”s accelerating cinematic instrumentation. Music for the floor. One love, BP x

As we head towards the end of 2019, the CoOp Presents crew unleash a heater for the cold months, and a very warm welcome to the label for Danvers, with an EP entitled 'Light Movements'.
Joe Danvers has been building a diverse catalogue of dance music over the past several years, including releases on FINA Records, Boogie Cafe and Wotnot (his debut release also featured mixes from the likes of Joe Armon-Jones & Warren Xcince). Aside from his solo efforts, Danvers makes up 50% of Kassian, who in turn have dropped releases on Phonica White & Heist Recordings, as well as a series of highly-acclaimed remixes. Their debut track 'The Premise' was nominated as "Track of the Year" at Gilles Peterson's Worldwide Awards.
These various projects have been shown support far and wide from selectors such as Bradley Zero and Detroit Swindle, whilst Danvers & Kassian have been booked for parties across Europe this past Summer. Danvers is also co-founder of Curve Records, along with Luke Campion & Mike Wilkin of Fact / Vinyl Factory.
So to the EP - 4-tracks demonstrating Danvers' flair for eclectic bruk boogie. 'Devotional' kicks off the set, featuring the soulful vocals of Natalie May atop a rhode-laden bubbler. The EP's title track 'Light Movements' follows and is a more stripped-down affair, with big kicks and synth stabs. Next comes 'The Flex', inspired by Selectors Assemble runnings - a tasty stepper with a huuuuge b-line. Finally closing out the EP on a deeper jazzy vibe we have 'Calmer' featuring the don T. Williams.
Expect more big things from Danvers and from the CoOp Presents crew in 2020. In the meantime, get this one on your speakers and watch for the movements. Standardly essential business.

Jacques thumps out a crafty, swinging cut with techy inclinations and oodles of groove, and E. Today burgeoning band Drew X Hill announce details of their second stunning EP 'Bullets', revealing the first track by the same name, and the tracklisting for the EP in full.
2014 saw Groove Armada Deliver an exceptional Italo 90s piano house remix for 'Talk To You EP' which was heard at every festival and terrace during the summer...'Bullets' is slated for release in May on their label home of the forward-thinking Born Electric, which is headed up by DJ/Producer James Zabiela.
Lead track 'Bullets' is sparse, beautifully influenced by the likes of Royksopp, Moderat, Imogen Heap, Shlohmo & James Blake whilst Michele's vocal's are both haunting and compelling.
Hailing from Denmark and Cologne respectively, Michelle Drew and Philipp Hill's paths first crossed in an unlikely city on the South Coast of the UK. Their style is hypnotic, off-kilter and deeply rooted in electronica with the added edge of Michele's beautiful vocals; forming songs constructed from the heart that will later be complimented with some very special remixes made for the dancing feet.

Eliaz is on his second EP ever and for 3n0 we chose three tracks, two of recent production and an older one.
Eliaz started making Lizergid in 2013, then it was forgotten and later finished in 2015. This was in his pre-hardware period, so the track was made using only Ableton and a midi keyboard. The other 2 tracks are brand new and differ in style a little bit because of this 4 year gap, but still have that Eliaz drum & acid drive. They were made mostly on hardware equipment such drum machines Roland TR8 and Korg ER-1, synths Minilogue, Minitaur, MAM MB33 Retro and Korg Volca FM.

D-Knox (Donnell Knox) returns to his own Sonic Mind label for the start of a new collaboration with Mark Hawkins, otherwise known as Marquis Hawkes.
Knox is a living legend who's been making music for over 25 years since growing up in Michigan's Kalamazoo (a city halfway between Detroit and Chicago). The man from Kalamazoo who now resides in Warsaw (Poland) has forged a career of intense quality, which began with releases on the likes of Jay Denham's Black Nation and Elypsia before he launched his own Sonic Mind label in the mid-90s.
Many will know the Marquis Hawkes name for his releases on labels like Dixon Avenue Basement Jams, Clone, Aus Music and Houndstooth. What may not be as well known are his origins in the UK, cutting his teeth DJing (whilst living as a New Age traveller) at illegal events in the mid-90s before launching as a producer under his real name, Mark Hawkins on the likes of Djax-Up-Beats.

From the murky depths of Berlin comes a monster, a wicked beast with two heads, a strange penchant for house music and the bizarre. Longhair is the duo made up of Marko aka Homeboy and Bene from Peak & Swift, two well known figures in the Berlin musical community who have begun to amass interest and intrigue as a production outfit, appearing on imprints like House Is OK and Bordello A Parigi. There is an unholy amount of musical ammunition ready to be unleashed upon the innocent world and it’s bloody great.
There are plenty of influences from all kinds of corners in Longhair, from 80’s synth sounds, to Italian dream house beats, but it clearly has its own vibe as they demonstrate on “The Forbidden Dance”, their debut single for Paramida’s Love On The Rocks label.
A ubiquitous summer hit in the making: a sure-fire combo of unforgettable melody, nostalgia kicks, totally dreamy production and the sound of seagulls. On the flip, we find the Rhumba mix, a mostly beatless counterpart, perfect for DJs that want to get creative.
Longhair’s take on house music is emerging as a sound of their own; groovy, very danceable but laid back, marked by a progressive approach and a softer attitude and ultimately an ideal match for Love On The Rocks.

The first release from Wrong Island Communications is the eponymous M O O N E.P.
M O O N is the artist name of 18 year old Bostonian, Stephen Gilarde. His musical talent being so well defined at such a young age can possibly be explained as a family trait: he is the nephew of James Murphy (LCD Soundsystem).
These recordings are the first Stephen made not long after being given an old mixing desk and some monitors by DFA's Juan Maclean. They were made in 2010 and released via bandcamp, proving so popular M O O N was recently listed as one of the 10 Artists To Watch by Billboard 100 and were then picked up for the soundtrack to last year's 'Hotline Miami' video game.
Since then, he has produced two more E.P.s which Wrong Island Comms. will be releasing over the next year.
Comes in a picture sleeve designed by Madison McKenna with an A4 insert.
Wrong Island Communications is a vinyl only label run by the same people as the long-running Glasgow club night of the same name.

The latest joint on Constant Black is from Subb-an and Thoma Bulwer, who work together to bring forth some seriously smart ruminations on minimal techno with an inventive modern edge. "Apollo Sun" holds court over the A side with an artful, modulating synth voice that sounds as though it could well have been cooked up through a tangled network of patch leads.
On the B side, "Cosmic Breaks" has a strong set of drums that crunch in all the right places, and plenty of dreamy seasoning to make for a truly smart midtempo roller. "Spray" completes the set with the spiciest joint on the record, all tightly wound beats and nagging rhythmic wriggles both built for functionality but equally intriguing on the ear - a perfect DJ tool with enough sass to stand on its own.

It's that time again... Every summer Jennifer Cardini's Correspondant imprint celebrates another ground-breaking year with a far-reaching collection. Ranging from palpitating ambience to chuggernaut technoid trips; the stirring 16 track set features late night creations from old friends (Red Axes, Zombies In Miami, Mike Simonetti, Moscoman) new friends (Simple Symmetry, Perel, Julian Stetter, ) and friends that have been Correspondant kindred spirits since day one, but have never had the opportunity to cast their magic on the label... Until now (Black Merlin, MR TC, Yula Kasp & Mi.ro). As always, the vibe is deep, smoldering, emotive, innovative and unapologetically cosmic as we're pushed headfirst into Correspondant's boundary-less soundscape. From the coiled spring funk of Javi Redondo's 'Fictional Friendship' to the hypnotic harmonics and trippy vocal textures of Uriah Klapter's
'Breeze' via the slinky arpeggiated charm of Marvin & Guy's 'Cowboy Disco', it's another sublime excursion from one of the most consistent and considered imprints on the left side of techno.

In the special occasion of our 10th birthday we felt that we had to create something really memorable, bringing together in two vinyl some of the most influential artists who took part in the making of our history and some new ones, yet prominent and successful. All of them had a fascinating mission to accomplish honouring the concept of ‘Jazzy’ which is the notion and approach set ten years ago as the fundament of Apparel Music and we can plainly say that they’ve won the challenge, brightly. They produced eight stunning tracks which represent an ideal declination of the requirements you need to enter the AM family. The roster of artists behind this record perfectly represents the international soul of the label and very much speaks for itself, from our head honcho Kisk to ‘The Voice’ Robert Owens, our longtime family members Ivano Tetelepta & Euge`ne Latumeten, the Swedish Salary Boy, the great Tuccillo with his recognisable style, the American Fred P who’s music is the best introduction of his abilities and needs no further presentation, to the youngster Chevals with his bright talent. The final side then is the debut’s side with the iconic Art Of Tones who’s career as a pioneer of dance music speaks for itself and last but not least the marvellous duo Marcel Vogel & Tim Jules, also new to the AM family, who’s baptism fulfils our high expectations. A list of virtuosos worth an All-Star Game! The opening track is ‘Your Face’ by Kisk & the supreme and unrivalled voice of Robert Owens, with a bunch of great musicians who took part in the creative process: the Cuban Gendrickson Mena (trumpet, Saxhorn), Max Lagana` (Bass) and Nate Lotz who recorded some grooves on the drums. In A1 resides the concept of Jazzy; the dialogue between man and machine which is still, in the modern era, the perfect equation to produce music. Starting from some old, dusty samples here’s surely one for the records, fully embodying Kisk’s approach to music production. A2 is ‘Hearme’ by Tuccillo. The Neapolitan born but Spanish adopted is a veteran of the Apparel Music’s family, that’s why we’re so happy to have him leaving his mark once again on a special occasion like this Bday. His track perfectly epitomises his sensuality, profoundness and sensitivity as a producer, being capable of expressing through his music some of the distinctive characteristics that AM aims to communicate. The Deep soul of Fred P comes out in all its strength in his track ‘From The Other’ kicking off B-side. We're delighted to have the American producer on board as his first appearance on AM leaves no doubt about his huge talent as a music maker, while B2 is an Ivano Tetelepta & Euge`ne Latumeten’s affair with ‘Where Have You Been?’ and we’re overjoyed to greet again the pair who’s back on the label with a really special production. The dreamy pads and the punchy rhythm section helped by the smooth vocals are yet again the logotype of the Dutch duo. The second vinyl begins with Salary Boy and his ‘Piano House’. The London based Swede's production is the perfect way to start the C side with its classic yet modern touch. Another gem to add to the collection. Chevals then takes over in C2 with ‘All I Wanna Do Is Love You’ and we’re so happy to see a skilled guy like him being recognised in the music business, as sometimes a label's purpose is just to be the perfect filter of someone else's visions. His track is another tangible example of his qualities. Then, to kick off the D side we got Art Of Tones with ‘Never Sleep’, a fabulous funky groove with a compulsive rhythmical attitude where the Parisian House icon displays his musical genius in a track genuinely crafted to fit the mood of the Apparel 10th birthday. We’re really proud to have a guy like Ludovic on board for this project as he’s been eager to join our gang since day one and that’s the perfect occasion. Is up to Marcel Vogel & Tim Jules to complete the masterpiece with the last brushstroke which is an experimental and modern tribal beat with masterly arranged keys and superb percussions. The sound research of this track is quite astonishing and, in its whole, is what may be the loop you’d play over and over again to open or close a mesmerising DJ set! Finally a very special and important mention for the artist and friend of the AM’s clan Marco Fantini, a true visionary who blessed us with the chance of choosing amongst some of his stunning artworks for the covers of the record. Each production, indeed, has a different and dedicated piece that reflects its mood. Thanks Marco for having such an important role in this creative process! The record will be out in July so brace yourselves for what is evidently the highlight of our year and... let’s blow thee 10 candles together, as always, as a family, spreading love for good music!

Ibadan announces the release of a new remix by Dennis Quin of Kerri Chandler & Jerome Sydenham ft. Troy Denari - You're In My System on vinyl in December, 2019.
Quin, a self-professed house addict and die-hard Kerri Chandler fan since the early nineties, had been searching for a new vocalist to work with. He turned to Simon Birkumshaw, label manager and A&R of Chandler's Madhouse Records, who recommended Troy Denari, the original vocalist of the classic Ibadan track "You're In My System". When Denari revealed that had just resung the vocals, Quin was inspired to remix the track.
Quin's aim with this remix was to update the track for his sets and give it contemporary production values in line with his current digital sets. "It's always tricky to put your hands on a huge record like this," he says. "It's a legendary track that everyone knows, so I was extremely careful in terms of mixing, timing, and all the rest." The result is a modern version of the classic that is very true to the original. At the same time, Quin makes his mark by bringing his own drum and percussion into the mix.
The remix versions cover all the bases for various digital distribution formats, including atmospheric dub, club and instrumental mixes, plus a special three-minute edit for Spotify.
Working together for the first time, the members of the musical team were excited to exchange their ideas. "Troy, Kerri, Jerome and I have gained so much out this intense collaboration. It has developed into a deep friendship that is all about house music, good vibes and pride in our achievements. Each of us is fulfilled by our individual roles in this project. I'm really proud to be part of this family."
Christine Pedersen, managing director of Ibadan Records, is excited about Quin's first release on the label. "It's always a pleasure to welcome new and talented collaborators into the fold. And I love the new vocal. Troy's singing brings a fresh spin to the track."

Following on from his intimate entry into the DJ-kicks mix series, Lone is putting out a vinyl only EP of all the unreleased tracks from it. The horizontal mix tapped into all of Lone's influences, from hip-hop to house, IDM to techno. It also showcased some producers signed to his own Magic Wire label, and of course the back bone was built from some of the Nottingham man's freshest new productions. They come after celebrated releases on Werk Discs, R&S and Dekmantel, and include dance floor aligned EPs and more rounded full lengths designed for close listening. Here he sits in between the two across three thrilling cuts. Opener 'Saturday Night' is a breezy bit of deep house with crisp boom-baps and swirling pads that lend it a dreamy, ethereal feel. Spoken word snippets are stitched into the groove and the whole thing is as frictionless and feel good as house comes. Next up, 'Arc' is a little more direct, with scattered snares flapping over dry wooden kicks. It's a punchy bit of house latest DJ-kicks mix star Kerri Chandler would be proud, and comes overlaid with spring time flutes and luscious pads as a classically inclined bassline powers things along. Last but not least is 'Alpha Wheel 4' (Ambient Mix), a kaleidoscopic passage of suspensory sound scuffed up glassy surfaces trapping you in rays of refracted light from start to finish. All three tracks exhibit Lone's authentic, lived in and lo-fi aesthetic, and as a result slip perfectly into his ever more essential discography.
