Maricopa makes the smoothest summer tunes in the world. On his Explorer EP, the second in Cosmic Pint Keg series, Maricopa makes no exceptions. A Journey through Mediterranean landscapes and across tops of mountains in the midday heat to the refreshing sea breeze on a midnight beach. It's a thing of beauty some are directed at the dance floor some almost chilled to horizontal.

Mind Fair return with a deadly two-part interpretation of the Joe Jackson classic 'Steppin' Out'. For their latest Rogue Cat Sounds incarnation the Golf Channel mainstays have enlisted the indispensable talents of Charmaine Baines on vocals, Climax Blues Bands' Derek Holt (Bass &Guitar) and Alex Bradbury (Sundown Drive) on keys.

This slowed down, melting pot of Soca not Soca meets Lovers Rock, Reggae, Blues and soul is brought to you in two parts Part one deals mostly with the song, Charmaine's vocals sounding suitably dreamy and laid back whilst part two puts focus on the instrumental groove where the guitars, strings and Rhodes are the main attraction.

Mark E provides one of his Merc Dubs on the flip which takes a Afro rhythm meets beat down central then builds Intensively with Rhodes and a horn section
breakdown to die for the Man is on form!

The second VA from Velvet Pony is a collection of dusty house tracks that Art Alfie has gathered for the occasion, all plucked from the fertile house soils of Stockholm. It includes the first music from Mr. Tophat & Art Alfie since 2016, a laid back burner from lady of the hour Bella Boo and an absolute belter of a sample fest from Art Alfie and Måns Glaeser. The last mentioned pair round of the release with a solo track each.

Inspired by warm climates, shaped in a rainy city. Native Cruise's Desert Theory opener Late Nights is a relaxed jam filled with crispy drum-machine percussion and new age-ish pads with delicate nature sounds in the background. The energy rises towards the title track, a marching rhythm characterised by chugging wooden drums and floaty pan flutes. Bermuda Clouds brings you on a shore presenting a dreamy 4 to the floor session with an FM bass line, atmospheric pads and a wave of ocean sounds. The journey ends with Whispers which reminds of an imaginary 80s digital world vaguely influenced by the aesthetic of labels like Innovative Communication or Les Folies Art.

Finale Sessions is proud to annouce a new member to the record label Tolga Fidan. He is really big with the Romanians right now and we at Finale Sessions are big on his production and we bring this 4 track heater to let you know he does not fool around

“Truth Rainbow” is an effortless sunsoaked anthem, sure to get beaming smiles out. “Breakaway”’s unconventional mid-range bassline will drive a set forward.“Pitch Disco ’97” on the other hand – a 21y old track salvaged of an old DAT tape – allows for a breather. New Me, Same Us“ zurück.

Straight out from our House, Martin Bellomo (Momentz, Rationalism) show us his conundrum of musical influences with this solo EP containing Club trax for heated bodies.

Overhauling its own vast legacy, Sony Music announced a reissue of 'Flame' — a hidden gem of early trip-hop music created by the creative genius of Crustation.
Originally released in 1997, 'Flame' was one of the last works that Bristol trio came up with. At the same time, it's also one of their most powerful pieces: the main track, filled with a hazy vocal of Bronagh Slevin, is a twisted love song full of shuffling beats and inner groove. Crustation's approach to production and composition served as an inspiration to quite amazing remixes as well. Borderline Insanity Dub Mix and Mood II Swing Vocal Mix by influential and innovative house classics Mood II Swing are definitely the stand-out acts of the record, which sound as powerful and timeless as they were two decades ago.
The trio of producers known as Crustation were quite connected in the fertile Bristol trip-hop community — they played in bands with Portishead's Adrian Utley during the 1980s, and regularly hung out with Massive Attack and Smith & Mighty. They debuted in 1994 with two EPs for Cup of Tea Records (also the home of Monk & Canatella, Statik Sound System and Purple Penguin), and released their debut album Bloom in 1998.

Sunken Rock Recordings is back presenting the first ever solo release by the mysteryman Doc Jay. Five cuts that take you on a journey into Jay's world of oddball, fragmented dance music straight from the archipelago of Stockholm, presented in an amazing 4 color (!) screenprinted sleeve with artwork from the the man himself.

Harry Wills is next up on Subsequent with a perky 4 tracker of low slung house grooves. ’Switchback’ kicks things off with a robotic swinger whilst ’Sauna La Rood’ injects a more melodic, intimate feel. Flipsides ‘Corsica Gambit’ comes on all atmospheric, perfect for those early morning sessions. ’Sensual Yarn’ capping things off nicely with a broken beat and more abstract synth work.

Improvisation is the core of Bugge Wesseltoft's and Henrik Schwarz's collaboration. Technology and the joy of playing often meet and beautiful creations are formed somewhere between machine and human, balancing like a mobile delicately around a centre. For "In Spite Of Everything" the duo plays on two opposite grand pianos. One is driven by Wesseltoft's emotional piano playing and the second is a so-called player piano, in which the keys are driven by motors and which Schwarz controls in real time with a computer program written especially for this piece. The program is highly reactive and sensitive, creating a sparkling piano duet of pulsating energy and wild dynamics.

A mature & joyful record from the New York-based producer, who integrates organic sounds into his palette, adding further depth to meticulously written tunes.

Rich NxT, one of FUSE's core residents, returns for his fourth EP on the FUSE London label. Set for release on X March, the 'Waistline EP' sees him build upon his fine earlier work with another mesmerizing journey through expertly crafted underground sounds.

Title track 'Waistline' is an impressive opener, which stretches over seven glorious dubbed out minutes. The track is characterized by its infectious groove, which rolls along at a steady pace and is complemented by expertly placed distorted sounds and vocal snippets. 'Instate' continues in a similar vein, but this time warm reverb pads shine through darkness of the crisp percussion. With distorted vocal fragments and echoing cowbells added to the equation at just the right moments, the clever arrangement results in a totally engrossing and hypnotic track. 'Daybreak' - is another functional dance-floor weapon, with heavy bass, sharp drums and echoes ringing throughout, these sounds all combine to create a deeper-than-deep eyes closed heads down vibe that is a perfect fit for the FUSE dancefloor.

Rounding off the EP is remix of 'Waistline' under their acclaimed Kilimanjaro project. While the dubby essence of the original remains, the duo instantly stamp their mark on the record through raising the BPM with razor sharp percussion and adding sublime deep bass and warm soaring synths which wash over the punchy beat.

On the 'Waistline EP' Rich demonstrates his considerable production prowess and as expected from one of FUSE's most trusted residents it contains all the elements that one would associate with the much-loved FUSE sound: deep dubby house and techno of the highest order, rich in details and sound. The 'Waistline EP' leaves listeners eagerly anticipating Rich's next output and hearing the release on the dancefloor.

MIGHTY SHAMBALUU here. A must-have in every record collection!

Following on from 2012's huge Palua EP, UNER returns to Cadenza Records in May with a brand new EP. Featuring two tracks (and a bonus digital track), the 'Nagual EP' delivers once more, with UNER very much at the top of his game. 'Bonheur (Part 1)' is a definate 'journey' track, spreading itself out over 12 minutes with a booming yet sophisticated tribal rhythm, and infectious melody line and light keys that worms around the rhythm, ticking all the right boxes for a modern day house record. 'La Playa (Part 2)' maintains the energy levels, with a bright and urgent rhythm track, with gliding and random keys, percussive effects and melting synths all jostling for position, its discordancy creating the intensity and mood of this piece.

The first loft family ep starts with an irresistible funky house track made by the label owner Rocco Detroit, continue with Alan da Funk - street house, a sample based disco track, with an old school imprints.

On the flip side Class Affairs delivered by Akyra is an hypnotic mix between break and house groove, fulfilled with smooth pads and synths that bring you to a new deep dimension.
Understand closes the ep with a powerful groove, typical of Manuold productions.

Utopia is proud to announce the release number one coming from the hand of Velasco.
Three stunning tracks flying bettween house, techno and electro sound waves.

Originally released in 1998, this is one of the most iconic of Boo's 90's records, showing his musical skill as a producer who can move between deep house and acid techno with savoir faire.
A timeless record!

Dan Shake is a full fledged member of the Lumberjack family since his contribution to the From Hell With Love compilation but we ve been waiting eagerly for his own 12" on the imprint. Here it is.

O'Girl aka Ellinor Jackson is back once again on Borft! Her debut left me wanting for more. Like label boss Villa Abo said 'Sometimes you just feel right about it'. Although this 4-tracker is her second record out there the music is fully matured house goodness. Stabs and chords builds up a funky groove on a solid beat foundation in Corners Couch. Proper sunset/sundown dance music. Snap Happy dives right into filtered loopy loops and voice samples. It takes its time so you can get snug and cosy and then unleashes a percussion party right at the end so you'll be smile-dancing and sipping fizzy in no time. Shoddy Shoes is a straight up club joint. Dark wobbly techno bass moves dubby stabs forward while a mysterious mist floats on top. Some strong clap action keeps everything moving from side to side! The last track is a lush French Riviera happy moment. Warm pads, classic house piano and bass action all day long. Smiles everywhere and not a cloud in sight! - Sahpo Ripasso

More vintage sounding acid house on Chicago Bee. 6 tracks totalling 36 minuets. Contains a free sticker and hidden message!

Limited edition vinyl imprint Absence Seizure established in 2015, focusing on late-night grooves and bass. Matuss’ 13th release on the label Seizure No.13 EP comes at full-force with its melodic deep house ready for the dance floor or the afters.

The first track on the EP is ‘Continuum’, combining an ambient sensibility with deep house energy, an epic slow-burner which morphs into something quite spectacular as the groove moves on. Next, we have the hypnotic ‘Mer De Soleil’, carried along a melodic bass and a snipped vocal pattern which carry a weightless feel ready for dancing.

The addictive and emotive ‘Solicitors Are Welcome’ employs twinkly synths with a house beat, and features a dreamy vocal from Sophie Buskin. A real end-of-the-night track, its given a re-working from Silent Surrender, sending percussion rushes and an expert manipulation of the vocal work to form an intoxicating listen.

Matuss has shown once again her expert crafting of deep, dance floor rhythms with Seizure No.13.

Ahead of the release of a full length album by the same title, Honey Soundsystem records presents 3 breakout tracks on 12" vinyl from Octo Octa's "Where Are We Going". Side A features the "new school" breaks pumper "Move On (Let Go) (De-Stress Mix) and the peak-time synth heavy tear jerker "On Your Lips." On the flip we share the 9 and a half minute aquatic house opus "Where Are We Going Pt. 2"

'Do you feel better' — is the line Maya Bouldry-Morrison aka Octo Octa repeats like a mantra on the final track of 'Where Are We Going' her newest and second studio LP. 'It was the question every single person asked me after coming out as transgender,' she told us 'Overall I do, but no, I don't feel better at every moment, which is why the track slips out with a dour bass drone in addition to a beautiful pad. These days, both emotions are ever-present for me.' It is precisely this candor and intensity that immediately drew us in when Maya sent over the LP to consider for the Honey Soundsystem label. As DJs we are always looking for music that can speak in our sets, not just the highest caliber productions, but songs that represent the changing landscape of the queer dance-floor. 'Where Are We Going' reads like a diary. With track titles like 'No More Pain (Promises To A Younger Self)' and 'Move On (Let Go) (De-stress Mix)' you can't avoid the autobiographical messages of these songs, but Maya leaves no booty un-shaken - this is still 9 four-to-the-floor house and techno beauties to rock your body. Her willingness to even model for the cover art of this LP, proved this is a side to Octo Octa we've never seen or heard before, an artist ready to let her fans experience an intimacy as deep as the synths and lead lines she has gained notoriety for. Applying her years of international DJ'ing, this album flows with intention and has effortlessly found its way back into our headphones and home stereo systems repeatedly - Pro-tip: you can even have sex to it. Needless to say this is the first time in a decade Honey Soundsystem has thrown itself at a contemporary LP and we know once you hear it, you will know where we are going...

Wonderful, lovely, gorgeous, sweet, fantastic, grand, howling, marvelous, happy, rattling, terrific, tremendous, unique, fabulous, pleasing, incredible, massive, extreme, great, extraterrestrial, mindblowing, wicked, weird, amazing, far-out, neat, peachy, spicy, awesome, yummy, stunning, breathtaking, delightful, lovely, miraculous, beautiful, inspiring House Music.

LaRhon is back and the Mastermind behind the label who is The Prince Of Dance aka Elbee Bad, presents with the Black White ep a fulminant return. More to come!

Cologne’s resident conjurer Hodini steps up for his second solo EP on WOLF Music Recordings. Bringing elements from his hip hop background into this unique five tracker, Hodini dusts off long forgotten cuts, sampled with that MPC chopped graininess, blending lo-fi vocal sound bites with deft jazz loops, all adding a distinct, textured edge to his work.

‘Velved Groove’ and ‘Special Shoutout’ kick things off, snapping in funk fills and skipping guitar riffs behind a concoction of hazy spirals that transfix from the off. The former is an uptempo, twisted, jazz club house jam and the latter a bubbling voyage through the afterhours, bourbons flowing and faces flying from every corner.

A master of misdirection, Hodini also moonlights as one of Germany’s leading underground hip hop producers HulkHodn, proving he can flip styles and meld genres with ease. Featuring his alter ego, ‘Doggo Content’ is his nod to this - a crackling slo-mo trip through the intoxicated mind, soundtracked by stretched vocal snippets, wading bass notes and a crunching snare.

Two of the harder-hitting club tracks close out the EP, both focused around hypnotic bassline carousels and looping layers. ‘Where’s The Wine’ interjects Rhodes flickers with bongo rhythms and unsettling laughes, as ‘One4Fries’ marries off-kilter, piano stabs alongside jazzy flourishes and fizzing percussion.

Le Loup and Takashi Himeoka are back on BinarySound's imprint for this third release, with a trippy printed cover made by Florian Betria. These four tracks explore every hour you can find on the dancefloor. From sunset, to sunrise, through the morning light, you will find a tune for every mood.

Five new, certified-gold disco gems from the Schatzi R&D department in Brooklyn, New York. A loving collection of throwback boogies that glimmer with a bygone era's ballroom glitz and lovey-dovey romance, that is the stuff of dancefloor love stories.
For extra texture and variation, one of these rolls towards the Italo end of the dial and another slides into goopy funk balladry.
A lot of territory explored in thirty minutes and change.
