Anthony Georges Patrice is back with a whole EP on Lossless and it sounds like an overall artistic start over. Fantastic variety on all tracks and he opens a new part in his musical universe with electrofied and africanized tracks...really refreshing and great to play!

A new project by Trikk and Mathias Schober had his hour of birth on the recent Lossless Outbound compilation and now this is their first own 12inch. Two monster tunes that one could classify as new-wave-ebm-electrofied housemusic or if it needs to be more catchy Bladerunner house! Sounding amazing on a big system!!!

Lossless' first offering in 2018 comes courtesy of co-founder Mathias Schober. With his 'Continuing EP' Mathias' definitely continues what he has started with his recent 'Certanities EP' on Optimo Trax. The EP is a true reflection of Mathias' constant approach to push the boundaries and merge his influences to draw a coherent painting. In this case the drawing is consisting of three truly unique tracks.

One year after its release, Quartet Series proudly presents the remix EP of Nachtbraker's successful debut album When You Find a Stranger in the Alps. A collection of remixes by some serious talent. These three producers were carefully selected by Nachtbraker because of their impeccable reputation and ability to bring something unique to the world of music.

Humble Danish maestro Central (Help, Dekmantel) flips "Flambo" into a Jori Hulkkonen'esque summer anthem with a highly addictive bassline. Preacher of wonkiness Frits Wentink (Wolf, Heist, Bobby Donny) took "LOL" and brought it some serious keys on a solid breakbeat while maintaining its jolly character. Flipping the record, Nachtbraker brings us the evolution of "Just Doing My Thang" turning it into a quirky dance floor tune whilst also showcasing his ear for detail. Up and coming talent Nemo Vachez (Forest Ill, Opia Records, Rakya) dives deep into "Horsepony" as if he's cruising the depths of a rainforest in a submarine. His surreal dub mix is the perfect final track of this fine piece of wax

Joshua James continues a run of infectious singles on Phantasy with a brooding, dreamlike turn into the night on ‘Marlene’, accompanied by two contrasting remixes from Swiss master, Deetron.

Beginning with the timeless texture of joyous, eighties NYC house, ‘Marlene’ soon introduces an inquisitive vocal sample, as an elegant conversation explores love and tolerance. Nonetheless, leaving little time for chin stroking, the track instead cautiously circles the pleasure at the epicentre of the dancefloor, venturing into more introspective, late-night territory, culminating in an unexpected and cathartic release of psychedelic electro. Reflecting the energy and imagination of his weekly residency at XOYO, James delivers a sophisticated, queer take on contemporary house that pays off in sheer bliss.

With a cemented reputation as one of the world’s most intuitive and imaginative remixers, Deetron carefully rebuilds 'Marlene' twice over. On his initial remix, he adopts a shuffling 4/4 bass weight, zoning in on an unintelligible snippet of the track’s sample, creating slowly escalating, sweat-inducing club pressure. Suddenly, fluttering keys and deep chords send us into a deeper direction, from the rave to the lounge and back again. Meanwhile, the Filter Dub is tailor-made and tested for after-hours selectors with a thirst for the esoteric.

Small Hours returns and proudly welcomes two new faces to the label. DJ Pipe brings the heat with an excellent debut track reminiscent of his fine DJ sets at CDV & Hoppetosse in recent times. Oslo digger and emerging producer, Rub800, also joins the family delivering a raw, tripped out affair on side B. Local legend, 'Hollywood' Huerta sets the bar high with one of his finest jams to date, plus label boss Youandewan departs a little from his usual sound with a bouncy, entrancing effort to complete the EP.

The "Forever Sabrina EP" is the premier release of Falko Kraus aka. K.Fog on Mancha Recordings. He is one of the originals of Chemnitz´electronic music scene and one of the Heads of the Beatconnect Crew. K.Fog has already brought out music on the Paris based label - Entropy, on 2 Bit Crew Recordings from Denmark and the German - Ranges imprint. The remixes for his debut on Mancha come from the Berlin based house heads KIM BROWN (Permanent Vacation, Freerange rec.), Italo Disco legend MR PAULI (Clone, Viewlexx, Bordello A Parigi) and Mancha Recordings Label head BACK FOR GOOD. After a very limited release to a handful of stores in 2018, Adesse Versions makes another small pressing of Walrus Edits available. Featuring vinyl-only cuts of a true Los Angeles funk pioneer, often overlooked due to his infamous love songs. Starting with the electronic boogie of 'Passion', one of the tightest and most under-rated funk gems of the 1980s. This was made specially for Adesse's last Boiler Room show and became his most requested and sought after edit. The B-side takes things in a completely different direction, with the raw deep-house grime of 'Rivers' and the orchestral almost Philip Glass-esque 'Off The Man'.

microcastle begins 2020 by welcoming Cornucopia back to the label for a new EP. The mysterious artist makes a much-anticipated follow-up to the July 2018 release ‘Forever Gone’. The three-track offering saw a wide spectrum of play and support from some of the underground’s top tastemakers in Adam Port, Ame, Baikal, Dixon, Frankey & Sandrino, Guy J, Jimi Jools, Laurent Garnier, Luca Bacchetti, Patrice Baumel and Solomun. With a release on Multinotes to highlight 2019, Cornucopia now lands back on microcastle with ‘River of Memories’ to begin the new year.

Elusive and organic in equal measure, the transcendent nature of Cornucopia has the rare ability to unite a cross section of music lovers. The romantic sounds of ‘River of Memories’ sits as perhaps the most apt illustration, invoking a rare combination of hope, heartache, reflection and meditation across it’s eleven-minute storyboard. Shrouded in mystery for nearly three years after countless live airings, it’s the pensive nature of ‘Holding You Tight When The World Collapses’ that follows. Rich in tone and texture, there is also a keen emphasis on rhythm and groove, as exotic drums and low-slung basslines marry fragmented melodies and wispy atmospherics, creating just the right balance of tension and emotion before melting down into the timeless sensibilities and metallic clusters of the EPs closer ‘Orion’. Have you ever wondered what it sounds like to pack late night influences and dancefloor memories from Northern Hemisphere touring into your luggage, take it home to a sunburnt island and let it sweat out a bit more in the studio Us neither. To be honest, I don't think anyone has really pondered such a Bizarro concept.

Nevertheless, Roza Terenzi's EP 'The Worldwide' on the inaugural Bizarro Records release is just that. A continental cross section of sounds and moods that always manages to keep a fist firmly pumping in seemingly eternal rave aesthetic.

'50 Millionaire' begins as a rare trip to the tropics with some fluttering synths and balearic pads, however the weather takes a quick turn back to familiar Roza surroundings with an unforgiving kick and grinding baseline stabs. Rhythmically this is one of her most audacious efforts yet. A track that bangs just as easy on a badass system as it would on a banana lounge.

For the title track 'Worldwide', Terenzi invites listeners out on a charter with an initial melody that could hook the strongest that the sea had to offer. The instantly familiar hook is met with a classic breaks structure and some understated warm chords that carry the cut safely back to shore.

Remixes for the EP come from fellow Ozzie don Rings Around Saturn and 90's revivalist Luca Lozano. Whilst not surprising, yet always impressive Rings Around Saturn once again flips an original on its head. The Melburnian takes '50 Millionaire' on a trip across the channel and provides those unpredictable UK patterns and flare. If making a 'balaeric stepper' was possible, this is what it would sound like. For 'Worldwide', The Klasse Wrecks king, builds a standard ravey stab into a melody that makes the inner hardcore in us all warm and fuzzy. Whilst it may not be anything novel, it sticks to its contagious Luca Lozano DNA of acidic, anthemic and euphoric.

This is the first edition of "house experience" where we bet much more on the house music and it's roots.

Our greatest wish is that you enjoy this vinyl just as we do.
We only have words of thanks for being lucky enough to launch this VA, in which, the first two tracks are a combination of pianos, basses and percussions in the right measure. I will surely make you enjoy good music.

September 2018 will see the launch of Butter Side Up Records with a 12' that embodies the considered club sound of the much loved Leeds and London party.It comes from fast rising Idle Hands and Northsouth artist Christian Jay with a remix from The Brane owner Youandewan and offers four cuts of slick electronic house music complete with artwork by Sophie Doulala.Butter Side Up is a now eight-year-old party that has carved out its own musical niche. Dealing in tasteful house and techno with a leaning towards breakbeats, garage and real deepness, the night is built on a solid core of residents, with guests like Craig Richards, Nicolas Lutz and Margaret Dygas also having played their intimate events. The label's outlook will continue in this vein, with a focus on releasing three EPs a year from talented friends and close associates.Opener 'Running' is dance floor focussed house with nimble rubber drums and slick hits that make you move. Curious synth sounds and rich design make it a timeless track with an air of sci-fi trippiness. 'Green' hits a little harder, with drilling sub bass that pulls you in deep as a microcosm of icy hits, alien sounds and synth trails flesh out the futuristic groove.Flipside 'Jupiter' is a cerebral warm up tune with spacious pads circling round as kinetic little hits, whirs and bass stabs paint a colourful cosmic picture. It's a micro-groove that really gets under your skin, and is backed up with a remix from Youandewan. A long-time friend of BSU who has made his mark in Berlin with in the know cuts on cult labels like Eclipser Chaser, Voyage and his own The Brane, his version of 'Green' is super silky, with lush pads soothing your soul as the muted bassline and bouncy drums set your feet to work.This EP marks a typically tasteful first instalment from the Butter Side Up boys.

Kevin Saunderson's KMS imprint is a label that should require no introduction. The motor city label has been a Techno mainstay since it's inception in 1987. Numerous Detroit luminaries have released classic after classic on the labels hallowed grooves over the last 25+ years and it's influence is still felt in contemporary dance music today. The idea behind the KMS "Origins" series is to shine a light on the lesser known cuts in the KMS vaults as well as the classics that have given the label it's legendary status during it's lifetime.Hot on the heels of the debut collection for the labels 'Origins' series we are pleased to present another stellar selection of jams from the legendary Detroit label's archives. Kicking off EP #2 is the man himself, Anthony 'Shake' Shakir here utilising his Schematics alias to deliver to us the storming almost hardcore-esque 'Shock therapy' from 1992. This cut is rough, raw and is intent on troubling your bass-bins with some low frequency and breakbeats sounding like it's coming straight from the D via Essex! Heavyweight. Following Shake we have Dwayne Jensen with a slamming cut from 2000, lifted from a white label only release this is true school Detroit techno, perfect for dark basements, taking no prisoners! Exclusive to this EP.
On the b-side we hand over to the label boss and legend in his own right - Reese! 2 classic jams back to back on 1 side. Both 'Bassline' and 'Funky funk funk' have been road-tested for years and bear the classic hallmarks of this legendary producer. You cannot go wrong with this era Reese material, classic stuff, encapsulating the Detroit sound while retaining that raw energy and vibe that this music is famous for! "Lost In Process" EP is a two tracked affair backed with the remixes from Cristoph and Wehbba. The title track is such a delicate cut, boasting the sensual vocals from Thomas Gandey which evolves the cut into a deep and emotional song that radiates pure joy. On the other hand, "Boss" is a darker and techier cut featuring Thomas Gandey's robotised voice that perfectly balance the whole cut. The remixes from Cristoph and Wehbba bring out the burst of energy the release deserves.

Andy Hart launches a new series for Voyage with two dubbed out club tools. 'Neutron Capture' is a chuggy acid number with crisp drum programming, glitched out synths and a weighty 303 line.
On the flip 'LFTR' offers up a hypnotic roller complete with reverberating stabs, crunchy hits and expansive textures.
If this is a sign of things to come for Hart's new outlet expect a string of club ready, dancefloor orientated cuts from Australia's golden boy.

DSC Bio 2017 After several years writing and touring as the band Desert Sound Colony, Liam Wachs has decided to move back to his roots with a new dance music alias, 'DSC'. His previous releases on Scissor & Thread were informed by 60s psychedelia and his pastoral surroundings in the British countryside. Pulsating, and built on a core of slowed down club rhythms. Now with the advent of DSC and his own label Holding Hands, he is looking more towards London and Leeds where he spent his formative years. Small dark rooms with big sound systems are the inspiration. Beats and space are there for the exploration.Holding Hands Holding Hands is a record label with very simple goals. Put out banging tunes on black vinyl and get them to DJs who want to rinse them in clubs. We aren't interested in all the bells and whistles. Colour vinyl where you can't see where one track starts and another ends. Lovely artwork is nice but for our purposes it's unimportant. This is music that hits you in the gut and rattles your bones. Music that makes the end of your nose itch as certain frequencies come soaring out of the sound system. These are the tunes that you hear when your eyes are rolling back in your head with your best friends all around you on the dance floor.It is how it should be. In the club we are all holding hands.

These Lush Liverpudlian Belters have be supported by Gerd Jason, Michael Mayer and the Innervisions lot - with good reason.

Synth wizard und Disco don Massimiliano Pagliara is the latest addition to Uncanny Valley's roster. And if you're familiar with the Italian's soundscapes you probably think this is good news. And yes, you're right. From the first bass drum it is clear that "Connection Lost" pulls out all the stops. There is an urgency in its drumming and synth work that shouts "dance floor anthem" right from the get-go. "I Am Running All My Drum Machines At Once And Dancing" plays out like a percussive orgasm triggering pretty much all the drum sounds you could imagine. On the sleazy Disco affair that is "Don't Give Up On Love" Massimiliano gets vocal support from Sigrid Elliott. This is a oh-so-sexy alliance that would have shined bright even in the heydays of Boogie. Finally, "I Enjoy Myself While I Am Here" shows off once again that when Massimiliano Pagliara is at the keys he creates glorious vibes like nobody else. The artwork was created by Alexander Dorn aka Credit 00 who also helped to establish the connection after contributing to Massimiliano's album "With One Another".

The latest single taken from No Fantasy Required, "Blondes Have More Fun" exemplifies Tiga's knack for deceptively deep songwriting and lush production. It is accompanied by a trio of remixers from contemporary electronica royalty: prolific Swedish producer on-the-rise on part 1 Jonas Rathsman, Running Back boss Gerd Janson and and international house and techno breakout du jour, The Black Madonna on part 2.

Estonia has never been the epitome of electronic music, but there might be an exception here: In the early to mid 90’s Jaanus Veerberk aka Agony intensively produced tracks on an Amiga 500 at Raua 12 street in post-Soviet Tallinn. The tracks testify to a maturity and creativity that one would hardly expect from an 18 year old at the time. On the 'Raua 12 EP' you will find a selection of his works that span from House to Techno and express an originality that seems almost uncanny in the light of Estonia's remoteness in terms of electronic music at that time...
