Obsessed with the cosmos, asteroids and relativity, PANSTARRS of which we know little, except that he is not a total stranger to
the electronic scene, nor to Technorama, delivers here a first 5 tracks of 100% electro rooted Detroit influenced music. Influences found in the works of other artists such as Drexciya (in ALL their projects), Klaus Schultz, Tangerine Dream, Model 500, Ectomorph and many others ... With his head in the clouds (the Oort one) But with his feet firmly on the ground, PANSTARRS lives and works on his musical projects from a little-known mountain, somewhere in France, and whose themes are almost always connected to his obsessions. ICE and DUST is the first opus of this artist who is already working on a first album. A first EP coming out of the depths of space and now is in its own orbit .

The Passport To Paradise gang are in fine form as they serve up four more tripped-out disco edits for the globally-minded savant.
We take sail with the excellent 'Thru Wit' Waitin'', a beefed-up guitar chugger reminiscent of 70s AOR in its steady percussive work and misty sax solo. It's the guitar line that really shines here, lifting the tune into funk transcendence in the bridge.
'Anybody Out There' reaches out to the disco trippers with its northern Italian cosmic kitsch feel: starry-eyed synth pads float above reverb-soaked guitar musings and playful French vocal samples. A particular highlight. On the flip, PTP take things south with a soulful West African shuffler guaranteed to elicit some arresting footwork. The EP leaves us with resounding vibrations from the Far East: 'JP Wave' explores ethereal planes, building up a dense rhythmic fabric punctuated by bass stabs and ornamental chimes. This is a clever bunch of edits for the more discerning selectors and enthusiasts out there- act fast.

The Juan Maclean return to DFA with a compilation LP of 12-inch singles they’ve amassed over the past six years – re-edited, re-mastered, and ready for fans who may have missed the tracks the first time around. From the dub house sway of 2013’s “You Are My Destiny” to the high-energy stomp of this May’s “Zone Non Linear,” and featuring two never-before-released tracks, “Quiet Magician” and “Pressure Danger,” The Juan Maclean once again justify their longevity as a musical force that is more than capable of repurposing club tracks for every setting.

The Brighter The Light is put together in a way that lends itself to appreciating the sheer banging quality of the songs while simultaneously being able to dance to them in your living room. For example, take “Feel Like Movin,’” which Pitchfork called “gloriously beatific” and “pure DFA gold.” In the new remastered version, the fullness of the keys and the kicks takes over, unfurling across the listener. Deep house rhythms, sparkling synths and a certain spaciousness are what’s emphasized across the record. Gone is the slow-motion melancholy disco from their recent full-lengths – The Brighter The Light is all fierce enthusiasm and dance floor missives, perfect for those who aren’t quite ready to let go of summer.

Juan Maclean is a DJ and producer who has been a mainstay of the New York club scene, as well as maintaining a rigorous international touring schedule, since the release of his first records on DFA in 2002. Vocalist Nancy Whang is his longtime collaborator, best known as a founding member of LCD Soundsystem and a busy touring DJ. Together, the two artists have released an extensive catalogue of 12” singles and full-length albums for DFA, including 2014’s seminal In A Dream LP. The proper follow-up studio album will follow in 2020.

Bontan makes an eagerly anticipated return to Crosstown Rebels with 10 days, a scintillating two track release that features a stunning remix from Osunlade.

10 Days begins things in an emotive fashion, as rustling hi hats pave the way for featured vocalist Bengle to state, “ten more days”. This echoes before a bleepy yet similarly driving kick wobbles along, as the sample plays out, to form an emotional, dance-ready cut. Osunlade’s Yoruba Soul remix is a similarly moving piece, as warm pads are coupled with a dubby kick, before the same poignant vocal calls upon us in a heartrending manner.

UK native ​Bontan has produced a number of the scene’s standout tracks. A regular on the likes of Hot Creations, Circus Recordings and Crosstown Rebels, his releases ‘Call You Back’ and ‘The First Time’ furthered his worldwide reputation as a breaking act. Such an ear for the perfect dancefloor record has not relented, as he continues to push his melodic, acid driven sound in an ever-growing direction, one that traverses the many forms of house and techno alike. ​Osunlade ​is a musician and producer, an artist who has been releasing records for a decade now. Someone with many strings to his bow, he has produced eight albums and debuted on Innervisions in 2012 with a three-track remix package of his esteemed Envision vinyl release.

The third and final instalment of the 'Lap Top Less Dance' trilogy, featuring an outersphere collab between Lipelis and Capablanca, a deep and freaky Tiago remix, and a dancefloor stomper rework by Odopt.

Hot Creations welcome an incredible collaboration from four of the house scene’s most talked about artists, as Jean Pierre, Jesse Calosso, Harvard Bass and Kid Enigma team up on the mighty Krispy.
The release begins with the driving, high-tempo title cut. A raw kick is complemented by the infectious vocals from Kid Enigma, as whistling keys are aided by intermittent pads. Bogus completes the EP in a similar fashion: pronounced kicks merge on whip-like percussion, as the BPM ratchets up with the help of fizzing hi hats and another pumping vocal.

Jean Pierre is no stranger to the production realm, having found fame on some of the scenes most respected imprints, including Cuttin Headz, Defected and Desolat. Another affiliate of The Martinez Brothers’ Cuttin Headz, Jesse Calosso has released a selection of quality releases on the label, as well as a standout EP on Tuskegee. Harvard Bass’ knack for the perfect dancefloor melody has been picked up by the biggest labels in the game including Relief, Turbo Recordings, Saved, Do Not Sleep and VIVA Music. Having worked with many of his contemporaries in recent years, Kid Enigma has previously collaborated with Mat.Joe and Nathan Barato, releasing on the likes of Kaluki and Defected in the process. He also released on Hot Creations earlier this year, featuring on the huge Back & Forth from DJ Sneak and Jesse Perez.

Sometimes it takes a while before you finally get the chance to seize your moment. DJ and producer Matt Masters has been working for Freerange for around 15 years, presenting their radio show as well as polishing Jimpster’s hi-hats, washing Manuel Tur’s MIDI files and ensuring that all Freerange releases adhere to EU regulations regarding deepness and houseyness. Here we present you with the sampler of his debut long player ‘Never Ending Nights’. Featuring four highlights from the eleven tracks of precisely engineered house and electronica, the LP sampler is a high-quality, pristine project, as befitting someone who has worked for so long at one of house music’s most revered imprints.
Matt is proof that dedication pays off: he’s been asking Jimpster if he can put out an album literally every day for the last decade and a half and the Freerange label boss has finally capitulated, going a step further to executively produce the LP. Aside from a couple of carefully crafted downtempo tracks, ’Never Ending Nights’ is dance floor targeted but achieves the ultimate goal of the dance music album, possessing enough musicality and interesting production touches to stand up to home listening too. Matt has also thoughtfully included one track that can be used as a DJ incantation to summon up a horde of sentient headphones to do your bidding. Perhaps because of the protracted nature of the album’s production, there’s an unhurried confidence to many of these tracks, almost a swagger; big riffs slowly reveal themselves as epic chords unfurl beneath steadily ticking percussion, the assured, contemporary production providing an audio snap-shot of where UK deep house is at in 2019.

Radio Slave enlists two heavyweights remixes from Dixon and Underground Resistance, who reimagine 'Trans' - the twisted, bass-driven cut on Radio Slave's excellent inaugural album.

First up, Innervisions co-founder Dixon offers an inspired retouch containing an amalgamation of cosmic synth arpeggios, each one unfolding in a unique way as the track develops, supported by a prominent vacillating bassline.

On the flip, Detroit techno pioneers Underground Resistance provide a 'Hamtramck' remix features crunchy modulated synths and heavily delayed vocal slices that duck in and out before funk influenced guitar licks resonate alongside a plethora of dark effects.

Beginning a new series of Remix Packs, in which favorite artists and label affiliates are remixing tracks from different Malka Tuti back-catalogue releases. The first one includes Toulouse Low Trax and Die Orangen remixing Xen & Yovav’s critically acclaimed 7” release from 2018, as well as 2 remixes of the Tel Aviv duo Plazmot by Benedikt Frey & Borusiade. All Tracks were mixed by Gordon Pohl. This record will also be the first to present Malka Tuti’s brand new specially designed generic record sleeves.

Powering their way through 2019 with no sign of letting up, WOLF Music unleash their next house gem, ‘Strangerinthecity’, from German pairing Kandinsky & Mr. Fries. Six slices of soulful deepness, that range from blissfully Balearic and chugging groovers, to hazy jazz-infused sweetness, crunchy beats and sweeping interludes.

Kicking off the A side a cinematic intro, laced with movie samples and thundering pianos, gives a grand opening for ‘Stranger’ to slide in with its bongo delights, dusty trumpet melodies, psych guitar licks and fluttering Rhodes. Couple that with the modulated vocal snips and it’s a wave of warmness destined to win over any dancefloor. ‘Fallingasleep’ takes the final slot on the A side, a chuggy bass-arp-fuelled interlude with rippling hats, echoing rides and washes of the sea, to lead you serenely into the second half of the record.

On the flip side, ‘Downhere’ and ‘Strollingaround’ sandwich either side of ‘Junkfoodnmusicpt2’, like the juicy pleasures its namesake depicts, encasing it lovingly in two dreamy house numbers. The former is a trumpet laden, smokey cocktail of grooves and the latter a more disco-tinged offering, led by a dynamic bass / guitar combo alongside delicate brass and string tones. The tender filling to this deep-fried delight? ‘Junkfoodnmusicpt2’ – a beatsy trip of glistening, lo-fi, instrumental hip hop that will leave you salivating for more.

The infamous Kiwi returns to Needwant with his second EP on the London label (home to the likes of The Revenge, Ejeca, Maxxi Soundsystem and many more) On this cut Kiwi does what he does best by incorporating emotion and grit into dance music. The EP features 3 mixes of ‘Kiya’ as well as a remix from underground hero Brian Ring.

The record opens with the original version of ‘Kiya' which features warm bass tones, spaced out synth lines, shuffling percussion and a tribal-esq vocal. The Rave mix gives ‘Kiya’ dance floor authority, introducing driving acid synth lines and a weightier low end. On the B side Kiwi delivers a deconstructed ‘Dreamscape’ mix stripping ‘Kiya' back to it’s beautiful bare bones.

‘Kiya’ will be another addition to Kiwi’s already impressive physical discography which includes releases on imprints such as Disco Halal, Future Boogie & 17 Steps. His unique approach to remixing and producing over the years has meant that he has seen a wealth of support from names such as Andrew Weatherall, DJ Harvey, Gerd Janson, Daniel Avery, Erol Alkan, Optimo, Annie Mac and Skream.

King Of Kong Records, a new venture of Artur8, Anton Klint & Edvin E. presents it’s new release, the “World Museum” EP - a modern classic from Newborn Jr.

Warsaw-based producer Adam Brocki released a string of collaborative records - with Earth Trax (Bartosz Kruczynski) for Phonica, Dopeness Galore, Echovolt and Rhythm Section, or as Private Press for Rekids and Indigo Area. His mature, carefully crafted sound, stripped yet powerful, now finds its place on King Of Kong.

“What What What” starts the EP off on a right foot: broken rhythm, clever voice snippets, cosmic pads and heavy bassline reminds of some archetypal Shake productions, off-kilter yet somehow infectious. “World Museum” rolls out relentlessly on a steady kickdrum, and again the backbone is held firmly by bass. Swirling noises come and go, adding a dash of melancholy into this club-ready tool. “NJ Public Pool” again sounds like a long-lost timeless classic, with just right amount of melody and irresistible party vibe. It’s accompanied by a moodier and denser remix from Warehouse Preservation Society (aka TK Disco and Tavish (ESP Institute)), a druggy chugger for late night and dark corners. Rounding off the EP, Yourhighness of Rollerboys & Cocktail D'Amore Records fame straightens the beat and pushes up the tempo of “What What What” to deliver a proper party stomper. A classic sound of two decades of dance music underground updated for here and now.

Deep Site Vinylized returns with NYC DJ/producer and Little Giant Records label boss Anna Cavazos and her latest track... Persephone...a deep sonorous groove rife with resplendent pads, melodic flourishes, and pulsing rhythms.

‘I’ve always been moved by songs that have a sultry sound. When I made this track, my vision was to create a song that encompassed the sounds of summer, but also had a hint of edge. Persephone is my interpretation of beauty with an edge.’

The Pete Moss remix recapitulates the main hook with additional atmospheric and cinematic sensibilities while pushing driving rhythms to the forefront. Next up, the Evren Furtuna remix creates a cavernous psychedelic environment with its clouds of ambient synths, reverbed phrasing, and thrusting percussive edges.

Finally, the DJ Jauche rework reimagines the original as a main room disco-infused romp infusing the main riff with additional keys and stylistic twists.

King Street Sounds has reached its Silver Anniversary and in celebration of twenty-five years of iconic house music we’ve selected eight standout tracks for this special edition double vinyl release “25 Years of Paradise.” Kicking things off is house music maestro Kerri Chandler’s fun, funky and soulful King Street classic “Harder Gets Higher (623 Heavy Mix).” Following suit legendary KSS artist LY (aka Jovonn) pays homage to the New Jersey dance institution with “Back To Zanzibar (Sublevel Edit)” aka Doc Martin. Berlin based DJ/producer David Mayer brings his unique touch of class and deep groove to Tuccillo and Kiko Navarro’s classic release “Lovery” (first time release on vinyl). As &ME's last two EPs on Keinemusik have been hitting the bulls eye of public perception immediately, his KM034 for sure will meet
high expectations from DJs and crowd alike. What should one do within this sort of spotlight Boil up the same old formula Milk the
cow Play it safe Well, &ME is rather going for the 'don't overthink it and just do whatever you like'-option. Which in case of this One
On One'-EP is a collaborative effort with English singer/songwriter-enigma Fink, that's letting musicality rule over functionality.
The titletrack on A comes creeping over the floor like an ash cloud. Built up on a grainy beat-pattern, having all lightness dashed out
by droning bass, before Fink's vocals are exorcising the ghosts of a heavy comedown. One On One' has shaken off the facility of
peaktime-consensus, before the straight kick comes in, but even that unmistakeable floor-referral is invalidated by gloomy harmonies
after just a few bars. An obvious move against leadsingle-standards, but considering its omnipresent dark narrative and ultimately
condensed vibe, One On One' is without a doubt one of the strongest &ME cuts ever.
The offering on B1 might be considered as a bit more handy, but still: Cape Coast' is rather grooving along a serious jungle-delirium
than delivering easygoing beach-pleasure. A lot of hissing and chirping and rattling going on in between dense synth- and bass-layers,
while live-recorded percussions are escalating into frenzy. Tribalhouse of a rather demonic breed.
Finally, Fink is stripping down the original outline of One On One' into a sinister and subtle Dub-interpretation on B2. Blurred delays,
sparse synths and occasionally implemented kick-detonations, reminding of an alarmingly lowered RHR. Meaning even wider room
for his charisma breathing croon.

It's time to welcome Justin Nouhra aka Jus Nowhere from Washington D.C. to the COB Family. This cat is a pearl of a producer and we are glad to present this superb three tracks EP that will certainly do the damage for you. From trippy and hypnotic stripped back house, and a splash of minimal shuffle and teched out textures, Justin has concotded a very special record indeed, one that will come handy like a swiss army knife. As usual, Courtesy Of Balance brings you that underground flavor, far from hype, trends and your instagram friends. This is a vinyl only release, support the artist, support vinyl culture and support the underground movement.

Purist Berlin party and label Away Music is starting a new vinyl series entitled Reissued. It will focus on putting out Move D & Pete Namlook tracks that were previously only available on CD and stand as some of electronic music’s most innovative pieces.

The German pair were ambient pioneers who explored and intertwined psychedelic synthscapes, deep house and techno, future jazz and downtempo on Namlook’s cult Fax Records. Over the course of more than twenty hugely prolific years, the pair put out 24 albums, all of which have stood the test of time. The first limited edition EP features three tracks, two of which come from their Live In Heidelberg 2001 album, and one from their three-part Stranger album series in 2010.

Opener ‘Footer’ is a darkly absorbing piece with menacing bass rhythms and frosted textures. Alien lifeforms drift above the rolling drums and the whole thing is an interplanetary trip that finds modern kinship with the likes of techno experimentalist Donato Dozzy. The majestic ‘Der Bergkönig’ is less linear and more suspensory, with beautiful synth motifs looping over icy pads and building to a celestial crescendo complete with sweeping strings. Closer ‘Stranger’ is an adventurous 16 minute epic that rides on slick deep house drums and phased bass. Pensive piano chords are draped over the top while ambient pads and spoken word snippets add to the cinematic and hypnotic effects.

This inaugural EP is not only a first chance to own these vital tracks on vinyl, but it is also serves as a welcome reminder or fantastic introduction to the seminal work of Move D & Pete Namlook.

Never Ending Similarities sees MB return to his home base Frustrated Funk to do what he does best. Pushing the envelope while still keeping the emotive part of the music on the foreground. Interfusion Biamp and Never Ending Similarities are two relatively new tracks, both crossing boarders of various different sub-genres, telling beautiful little stories with their gorgeous strings and harmonized synth chords. But for most people the main focus will go directly to Demonia. A slowly building and uplifting techno track, already released on the digital version of his 2009 album Switches, Drawers and Washing Machines that we kept aside especially for this 12''. MB proves once again that he still has his own signature touch that makes his music such a treat and a recommendation to any connaisseurs of fine techno music. Hotness..!

Receptor Theory is the seventh release on Verdant Recordings and the first of several scheduled for 2019. Once again we find carefully selected compositions assimilated into another elegant EP of guaranteed deepness. The EP sets tracks from Berlin's Sirko Muller (Tokomak / Wandering) with Ornate Music's Jonno & Tommo on each side plus serious remixes from Verdant favourites RV800 and Havantepe (last seen together on the 2017 Aura EP). It is measure of the label's growing rep that these producers sought to be featured by the label away from their established imprints. The original Affinity and Efficacy tracks are assured yet subtle, dub inflected grooves but each are treated quite radically when reinterpreted. The RV800 reshape of Affinity moulds it into peak time tech house territory with a playful 303 bassline. Havantepe changes up Efficacy with devastating effect; the remix is a sinister breakbeat slow burn with a creeping & growling 303 bassline and a very strong conclusion to this intriguing EP. An EP for students of the deep and scientists of the mind.

Drumma Records for its 20th release presents one of the most important references of the minimal house sound, Barac.

The EP consists of two full-length high-caliber tracks.

A1 The Mirror of the spirit, is a modern track groove with a funky bassline and incidental sounds that are building a discourse that progressively grows in its intensity and musicality, the track is walking along with an unmistakable clap groove that only Barac can achieve, its a track where the simplicity and control of the elements shows the dominion of this musical mind.

On the other side we have the opposite 909 an acid dreamy version of Barac's music, this track complies with all the characteristics of a timeless track, which has been built with the iconic TR 909, no doubt a minimal acid, climatic, traveling and Crunchy groove for any underground dance floor in the world.

Lilium is released a year on from his 2018 DJ-KiCKS entry, and is something of a curveball.

As with all of Jakobsson’s music, it’s honest and emotive, but the sun kissed house and italo of Lilium and Lovejoy is full of happiness and optimism, in contrast to the normally melancholic mood of his productions. Hypnotic percussion and soaring melodies that would pass the old grey whistle test, give off waves of summery euphoria.

All three tracks have been featuring heavily in his sets at clubs and festivals across the over the last months, and we’re extremely happy to have them as the sophomore entry in the Young Ethics catalogue.

These are tracks that I would probably feel break too much with what I’ve previously done and released to give to other labels, but with having started my own label I wanted these tracks to showcase the freedom I feel in other sounds of my production that perhaps haven’t seen the light of day that often in the past; happiness, fun and a sense of ”anything goes"

Max’s 1996 cult classic gets a full reissue, fully licensed and remastered. 3 tracks of pure but tripped deep house with a light unique musical edge and hooks. Has been a bit of a secret weapon for certain DJs for some time. Born from the Isle of Wight during the As It Is Distribution days, the original label ‘Cide’ only saw this one release. Much of the press was destroyed at the time due to low sales - the mission to resurrect is now complete - took some digging..

After releasing on Hot Haus rec(ords) and Pitch Down, Rumore returns home to Discomaths with a collection of tropical beats and healing atmospheres. Cuts that are as deep and thought out, as they are danceable.

On the A- side “Tucano” is shaking its exotic feathers, surrounded by swirling arpegios and the distant whistles of the jungle. It takes you on a voyage to the deeps of the rain forest, as it alternates between the clarity of its pre-Columbian flutes and the magical mist lifted by its leads.

On the more introspective B- side, we submerge ourselves into “Boreal”, experiencing what would dusk be like in a perfect world. Emotional catharsis a waits as the intricate breaks float above the strings and pads that seem to emerge from the bottom of the ocean, and the chemical arpeggios colours the water around them.

The release closes with “La Fonte”, a pleasurable well that bubbles of new age. The humid guitars and warm vapours pass over us in a paused moment of hypnotic massage.
