Ground is an Osaka native, but his soul is truly that of a nomad, traversing the planet, befriending the kindred spirits found in humans, animals and plants. He is exceptionally receptive to the beauty in all that surrounds him—the incidental music of a busy city street, the orchestrated chaos of a scrambling radio, the syncopated grace of a migrating flock of birds, the simplicity of an isolated hand clap—and as his map continuously unfolds, he accumulates a vast catalogue of visceral tools to complex musically recount his experiences. Sunizm is a cross section of the artist's process—an array of complex microcosms overlapping to comprise a thematic whole—gathering field recordings, found instrumentation, jagged electronics, and synthesized chanting, to be woven into a dense narrative that appears both obsessively constructed and divinely improvised. With each consecutive track, the artist gradually constructs hypnotic patterns that 1-up the mind as it struggles to break free from a seduction of loops, steadily intensifying until reaching an apex of sound collage so cerebral that the listener might consider a post-album shower. But alas, the fourth quarter releases a bit of pressure, our gobs still lay smacked but there is a warm confidence as the psychedelic trial delivers us home to nod out. Dear humans, animals and plants, Ground and the ESP Institute present, Sunizm.

London based label and party Butter Side Up follow-up a sold out debut release from Christian Jay with another helping of atmospheric house music, this time from Leeds based rising star Midge Thompson. The long time BSU associate serves up three tracks that are complemented with a rare remix from the legendary Titonton Duvante.
Opener 'Destination 2242' is a slick and spaced out broken beat groover. Sci-fi motifs wither next to a sprinkling of garage percussion and rubbery drum programming is brilliantly loose and body popping. 'Delta' gets even deeper, with skeletal drums knocking out an infectious late-night rhythm while dreamy pads flesh things out. Spacecrafts drift in the background to add some cinematic stylings and make it perfect for the more close-knit dance floors.
On the flip, 'Beeston Lights' picks up the pace with perfectly rolling kicks pulling you in as keys twinkle up top like a distant metropolis at night. It's smooth and breezy house music to carry you away on a blissful vibe. Remixing is Titonton Duvante, a long time influence on the Butter Side Up crew and a cult figure in heady house circles thanks to definitive work on his own Residual Recordings, Mosaic and many others. His chunky take on techno is hard to beat, as proven here with a remix that re-works the drums into busy, restless things that work the feet while the Americans's typically ethereal pads bring real depth.

TROY TOWN are back with their 3rd release and itʼs another dance floor focussed EP from a South East London mainstay. El Prevost has been a fixture of the underground London dance music scene for nearly 20 years - his first label, Linx Recordings, was at the forefront of the garage and grime crossover at the turn of the millennium signing early tracks by Kano, Wiley and Pay As U Go Cartel. However, over the past decade his productions in the world of house, garage and techno have brought him widespread respect amongst discerning A&Rʼs and DJs such as Third Ear Recordings, Patrice Scott and Ricardo Villalobos whilst building his own label and party series ‘No Speakersʼ. This EP is unmistakably indebted to the sounds of London but equally doesnʼt sound like anyone else out there at the moment. ‘A Little Politicalʼ, dripping in dub effects and toughened up with the immense delivery of poet Kyla Jenee Lacey, is full throttle and combines consciousness with a determination to fill dance floors. The broken beat influence of Ladbroke Grove and the Co-Op collective is given a hefty rejuvenation on ‘Nu Jazzʼ. ‘Wheelʼ and ‘Acid Tonerʼ are heads-down, deep and dubby. Both tracks that would ramp up the temperature in dark basements like Plastic People circa 2011.

Mid way through an immense yearlong tour celebrating 10 years of FUSE events, Enzo Siragusa unveils his second album of 2019; A Decade Of Rave Volume 2. Volume 1 (released in April 2019) exhibited 10 solo tracks from Enzo that meandered through his 10-year journey at the helm of FUSE.
Volume 2 brings in the four members who have remained at the core of FUSE history; Rich Nxt, Seb Zito, Rossko and Archie Hamilton, each collaborating with Enzo to create seven straight-talking dance floor cuts that have fuelled FUSE parties, capturing the essence and development of the “FUSE sound” over the last decade. This is the first time FUSE fans will see all five work together on one release and is a testament to the watertight friendships they have built. Rich Nxt and Seb Zito were by Enzo’s side at the very first FUSE party back in 2008, while Rossko and Archie Hamilton climbed the ranks up to the booth from the dance floor, starting as fanatic weekly ravers of the party.
Enzo and Rich Nxt set the tone for the batch of euphonic collaborations that follow, starting with ‘See you In Ten’ and the straight up grooves of ‘Enriched’. Rossko cuts in second to bring us the engagingly propulsive ‘Dreamers’. Archie Hamilton takes a deeper direction with ‘Aviva’ and ‘Direct Line’. Finally, Seb Zito kicks the gear back up weaving garage influenced elements into ‘What’s Going On’ and closing with low slung ‘What’s Happening’. All tracks testifying to each resident’s deftness in creating atmospheric gems with the mastermind behind FUSE.

Hot Creations welcome the legendary Danny Tenaglia, as he delivers his first piece of solo produced music for more than a decade. On remix duty is one of the greatest DJs to grace the electronic music scene, Carl Cox, alongside exceptional New Jersey house producer Harry Romero. Renowned as a mainstay in the house music scene due to his extensive back catalogue and iconic parties in Miami and Ibiza, Danny Tenaglia delivers a Don’t Turn Your Back to start proceedings. A slice of tuff New York house, it’s the rustling hi hats, infectious vocal and staggered percussion that give this a typical Tenaglia feel. One of America’s finest producers Harry Romero is up next to remix. Fast-paced with a subtly changing groove, it’s the addition of a John Scarpulla’s saxophone solo that creates a fiesta feel. Working together again, Scarpulla is Diana Ross' tour saxophonist who has featured in Harry’s previous tracks including Mongobonix. Awesome Soundwave head honcho Carl Cox serves up the next remix: a dynamic, heritage sounding house cut with flecks of glitchy acid and whirling synths, before his alternative ASW remix comes through with punchy kicks and more underlying acid tones.

The Barcelona based record store and label run by DJ Bruce Lee is very proud to release the first work from TR, a well known DJ in the Madrid underground scene.
TR was responsible for one of the remixes from the first release on the label. That remix was techno, but his tastes embrace many different styles as we can see now.
"Multi EP" is the second release on Rhythm Control Barcelona where TR, colaborates with Causmin Lizou on the keyboard for the B side tracks.
The A side contains 2 90's infuenced breaks and electro tracks titled "Bassaur" and "EAH (Part 1,2 & 3)".
The B side contains 2 Detroit influenced house tracks, "Fingers De Pollo" and "Gitroit Highlights".
A producer worth following without a doubt!

Celebrating 10 years in the business Dean Zepherin’s Tribe Records has previously featured a succession of house music luminaries including Sean McCabe, Timmy Regisford & Peven Everett and is well on its way to another landmark of 200 releases. Continuing its rich run of form in 2019 the label has a brand new 3 track V/A EP coming in the shape of Tribe Vibe Vol 01. It’s the first of what promises to be a brilliant series. Featuring three superb tracks Tribe have lined up South Africa’s Shota with Detroit’s Jon Dixon on remix duties along with Cazz Ear and Ursula Rucker sporting a remix from another Detroit resident Mike Huckaby. Closing out the release is label boss Dean Zepherin completing the triumvirate under his Zepherin Saint alias. It’s a wonderfully deep and spiritual release. Lead track Shota’s ‘Chant’ combines some sublimely subtle keys with a warm and hypnotic vocal. Add in some powerhouse Detroit drum programming and it’s a track which will entrance many a dance-floor across the globe as we see out 2019.
On the flip side Zepherin Saint’s ‘Smile’ kicks of proceedings. Another classic deep track its afro centric drums underpin some deft keys with smooth percussive hits adding to the tracks perpetual forward motion. It glides gracefully developing a busting energy with the addition of some well worked vocals and trumpet stabs. It’s a 4am track, just add smoke and sporadic strobe flickers for a real dance-floor moment. Seeing the release out in style Mike Huckaby steps up to work his magic on Cazz Ear and Ursula‘s ‘Been Waiting’. Another masterful and powerful drum line powers a track which has drive aplenty for the peak time. A looped up key line and a powerful spoken vocal add to the undeniable groove. Much like the rest of the EP this is a track which has future classic written all over it.

Arriving unannounced in November of last year, Nocturnal Sunshine dropped her ‘Foundation’ EP; a bold move from an artist firmly front and center, in control of her own creative destiny. Premiered by Billboard, lead track ‘Foundation’ now receives two remixes from Canadian duo, UNDERHER and Trance Wax originator Ejeca
Curating an EP with a clear B-line for the dancefloor, Nocturnal Sunshine welcomes each remixer in such a way, that we see each exercise their own creative prowess to its fullest potential. Ejeca brings uncompromising, body-shuddering kicks with the initiation of his suspense-filled and in places, harrowing rework; this one is in the locker, destined for big rooms and warehouses worldwide.
Alongside Ejeca, from across the pond, Canada’s UNDERHER hit the sweet spot with a bumping house inspired retake, laced with attitude.

The debut release from US label Perpetual Rhythms comes in the shape of an EP of collaborations and single drops entitled Secret Elements. Firecracker boss Linkwood provides some extra Chi-Town edge to the sombre melodies and science fiction synths of Specter & Chicagodeep's "Sonic Pulse" on his opening edit, whilst Chicagodeep's "Restless Nights" generates a mix of spacey, laid back vibes. The bleepy pulses of Taelue's "Social Anxiety" sounds close to what an Aphex Twin and Jerome Sydenham & Kerri Chandler house collaboration would result in, while the single rimshots and wallowing pads of "Rough Access Point" give the track a distinctly lonesome ambience.

Platform 23 is delighted to release a compilation across 4 EPs of the music of Dutch producer Robbert Heijnen (Psychick Warriors Of Gaia/SUMUS) and his Exquisite Corpse project. First appearing as a one off contribution to a Katharos Foundation compilation cassette and using only tape loops in 1986, Exquisite Corpse was resurrected in 1992, shortly before Robbert left PWOG to concentrate on his solo music.
Now equipped with a modest midi set-up, most of the Exquisite Corpse material was recorded with the aid of mixing desk master, engineer and friend, Tim Freeman, as well as with later contributions from partner Debbie Jones (The Mistress/DJ Venus). Released on Belgian label KK Records, the tracks included in these 12"s are taken from a furtive two year period that saw six EPs and two LPs released.
Starting with Inner Rhythm (Higher World Mix), taken from 1993's EP of the same name, Between Rhythms I starts with intent. Crisp percussion, relentless and interwoven sequences abound over a dark bassline, before the dub meet world sounds of Kupuri show the depth of EC's outlook.
This is backed by the rawness of X-Out from 1992's Strange Attractor EP. Recorded to cassette before Tim joined the project, the guttural bass and sharp percussion cross boundaries between house and techno. This deep tribal sound, full of pulsing drums highlights a sharper angle from much of EC's output and as such, is a pure club machine. The first EP closes with Sitting In A Tree (Time Flies). The first track to be taken from their debut album, Dream Night Dance Music, the album is rightly considered their strongest, more rounded record, seeing it now trading at spiralled prices. With all 6 of it's songs to be covered across the 12" series, the ambient influences and yearning keys here make for a perfect, first ending.

LumièresLaNuit (alias LLN) is glad to welcome Argentinian Berlin-based music composer and live performer Alejandro Mosso and his
Rituals album (3 x 12') for the 11th
release of the label and this on the occasion of its III Anniversary.
In 2017, Alejandro Mosso had a rather busy and accomplished year. In April, he released Gaia (HVN040) (2 x 12') on John Talabot's
Hivern Discs label. A couple of months after, Mosso was back with another 2 x 12 inches, Isolation Diaries (3EEPLP201702), on Third Ear,
followed by a special EP that includes remixes of Isolation Diaries by Burt Friedman and Deardrum by Ricardo Villalobos.
Close friend of the LumièresLaNuit family, Alejandro Mosso is now becoming a key artist of the label. Indeed, what has begun as an
unexpected EP ended up as an album. And from the label's point of few, Alejandro Mosso's Rituals LP appears to be the best way to
celebrate both, the artist (its music) — and the label.
Rituals is composed by three records. Each of them has its own title and musical atmosphere. Whereas Daylight Rituals (vinyl 1) gives
us a smooth and sunny start into Mosso's musical journey, Twilight Rituals (vinyl 2) unveils a rather shamanic and ceremonial spirit,
acting as an interlude within the natural progression of the album and leading to Nightlight Rituals (vinyl 3) that presents a more
dancefloor-driven ambiance.
In the end, whether you listen to Daylight-, Twilight- or Nightlight Rituals, Alejandro Mosso's first 3 x 12 inches Rituals remains warm and
percussive from the beginning to the end, sticking to his roots and the touch he has developed over the past fifteen years.

Second Circle is proud to announce it's tenth release to date with a new EP from L.A. producer Benedek. 'Earlyman Dance' was recorded at Benedek's studio in Koreatown, Los Angeles and fuses mechanistic rhythms and synth work as well as live percussion and trumpet played by friends Chris Parise and Anthony Calonico.
.
With five vibed out compositions of coyote jazz, dance floor fusion and canyon bangers, 'Earlyman Dance' is an ode to the urban and natural landscapes of LA, late night noir and early morning sunrises, accented with Benedek's signature chord progressions, bouncing bass lines, meticulous drum programming and dubbed out trumpet.

Glenn Astro conquers new territories with Naturals, fusing elements of Balearic and leftfield house with tribal and acid sounds on Tartelet Records.
In an impressively short amount of time, Glenn Astro has created a musical universe that’s entirely his. With full-length releases making waves on Ninja Tune and Apollo Rec, the sister label of R&SRecordings, the Berlin-based musician assembles a perfect pastiche of influences on his forthcoming EP Naturals, coming out on Copenhagen’s Tartelet Records this September.
Exploring the outer fringes of the Balearic sonic spectrum, Naturals delves into unexpected sound territories without losing touch with planet home. Sub-heavy drums mix with private oceanic field recordings, futuristic synth, and effect pedal workouts, delivering a four-track EP that is novel but honest to the bone.
“I tried not to take any direct influence from any particular music I was listening to,” Glenn Astro says. “Instead, I tried concentrating on where the instruments and effects were taking me, experimenting with different ways of using the gear that I know so well.”
Inspired by Sicily’s natural beauty, the juxtaposition of its rough landscapes and clear blue waters, Naturals takes listeners on a journey into unfamiliar sound; a conscious diversion from his usual style and yet an instant dance floor cracker infused with the artist’s signature panache.
“I made most of the record while being in Sicily,” he says. “In retrospect, it is easy to hear that the volcanic landscapes contrasting the idyllic beaches were a major influence.”
The EP opener “Naturals (Unsweetened Mix)” is a beautiful freak – a peak-time cut – starting out with tranquil ambient melodies and water drop percussion followed by a beasty acid line and slick drum programming. Next, “Naturals (Dance Mix)” slows it down to 116 BPM, taking a completely different route with a hypnotic dance between tribal and dub – a wonderfully weird closer.
On the flip side, “Slarutan (Pristine Mix)” emerges au natural with Sicilian field recordings, layered pads, playful melodies, and crisp drum programming. Saving the best for last, “Slarutan (Water Mix)” dips its toes into the early days of dance music, shifting into futuristic, ambient dub territory with divine melodies and filtered percussion.
“This one is for the plants and the trees. Return to planet Tartelet,” Glenn Astro says.

LumièresLaNuit is glad to welcome Brussels-based music composer and DJ Ground Tactics for the 7th release of the label and
on the occasion of its 2nd anniversary.
Ground Tactics is devoted to reaching new music horizons and emotions through an experiment including structures and
harmonies. This experiment occasionally results in contrasts and uncommon pathways as demonstrated in his Dawn Of City
Lights LP.
On the A-side, Thou Shalt is an early experiment which reflects a state of concentration that attracts the mind to our senses. In
145 175 C6, the contrast between the rhythm and the synthesizer creates a conflict of calm curiosity and stress. Eventually the
rhythm is absorbed.
The B-side, 21 Gr. represents the weight of the soul and was recorded in one take during an empowering studio session.
On the other end Personal Behavior tells a story about the unconscious that drives towards the conscious, interest.
On the C-side, Burning Moon refers to a full moon night: the fire burns, the wood crackles and the magic of the night unfolds to
the listener. On another note, At that moment announces a near and apprehended threat, perceived in a different light and
characterized by fun and love.
On the D-side, Timesplit blurs out our perception of time, yet movement remains and is translated with mystery and passion.
Finally the exploration leads to an open transcending sound field.
Ground Tactics's LP closes with Dawn Of City Lights and invites the listener's curiosity in the unknown to unlock an infinity of h
wonders.

LumièresLaNuit (alias LLN) is glad to welcome DJ and music composer Keumel for its 9th release.
Keumel got his first booking as a DJ in 2011 when he joined the Parisian DJ collective Jekyll & Hyde.
On the B-side, Night Drips - eponym track of this EP - presents a tripy drum loop enlivened with long chords making the whole
track smooth and hypnotic. Finally, Dawn's Delights closes the EP with a rather cloudy atmosphere underlined by atmospheric
synthetiser nappes, melancholic chords and organic breakbeats.
Keumel got in touch with LLN thanks to Soudcloud. Fascinated by his sounds, LumièresLaNuit was keen to get to know the artist.
Indeed, at LLN it isn't only about music but also about the personality of the artists. It was around some beers that Night Drips
was born as Keumel proved himself as a discreet and easy-going artist.
Last February, Keumel added another string to the bow becoming a music producer when he realeased his debut EP 7 Hours Trip
(IBL04) on Inner Balance, sub imprint of Chez Damier's Balance Recordings, that includes a remix by rising Italian music producer
and DJ Domenico Rosa.
On the A-side, Les Marcheuses unveals deep influences coming straigt from the other side of the Channel. The track
distinguishes itself with its dynamic and lulling feminine voice cadenced by a groovy bass line.
Night Drips EPis a story from day till night - the slow, invisible and intangible transition from light to dark through dusk. This also
holds true for the changing feelings caracterising each track thoughout the EP.

Emerging slowly from understated beginnings, 'Running Into The Sun' sees Komodo deliver the kind of expansive tones that easily establish a vibe on the dancefloor, nodding to progressive house's fundamentals while borrowing plenty from earthier, more organic-sounding ends of the four-four scene.
Eric Duncan does the business on the remix, taking it into tougher territory and throwing in a cacophony of drummy intersections that help build the atmosphere, placing the whole arrangement on a knife-edge. 'Slow Burning' does what it says on the tin, growing and grooving its way through spiralling synths and acidic inflections, adding some gentle chords to bring in some welcome melody.
Latrec evidently has a different understanding of the phrase given his remix, cutting back to throbbing kick drums while allowing just enough of the harmony to enter earshot, with trance-like results.
