House Vinyl New Releases - News

Our planet... IS NEXT! Yes, this is in fact the case, at least according to one Stockholmdwelling, 30-something (wishes-he-was-a) failed pop star, real name Arvid Wretman. Just how he fell from his position as poster boy of Kärrtorp's ever-vibrant noise scene to the pill-popping, Cher-covering discotheque pleaser standing before us today, we could not tell you. What we do know is that Studio Barnhus stands ready to ride that cash train all the way 'til the bitter end! So yeah, wanna pop some pills Or do you wanna chill Varför alltid dansa och spela det ena ...and do you, or not, believe in life after love These and many other questions are posed, but never answered, on this YPIN EP, the starting point of what we hope will be a particularly lucrative bizniz venture between those two powerhouses of Scandi-tronica, Your Planet Is Next and Studio Barnhus. PS. Your Planet Is Next's live show will bring added marketing value and guaranteed customer satisfaction to your dance party

The label and production project from DJ DOG (aka DJ Fett Burger) & Double Dancer is back! Uplifting house, emotional Ibiza and free flowing grooves in the best possible way! Basketball house once again, stronger than ever! Rejuvenating the basketball house scene since 2016.

Dancing has been an intrinsic element of cultural development in every society on Earth, and has existed in multitudinous forms since time immemorial. For many, it is a pure expression of joy, a release of inhibition and a communal act of passion and celebration. For others however, it can induce self-consciousness and social anxiety which, combined with peer pressure or societal expectations, can lead to distress. Fortunately, there is a solution to this predicament, thanks to the tireless efforts of a Copenhagen based Groove expert in the early 90's. After extensive studies of dance styles throughout history, Rune Weise Kofoed was able to isolate a dance move which was not only as culturally universal as laughter, but also induced no adverse effects in even the most severe cases of dancer's anxiety. He called this move "Dorsi Plantar", and it instantly became so popular that it was commonly performed by those who had never heard of it. Its versatility was so great that it was appropriate for every genre of music, and its execution so straightforward and intuitive that it could be achieved by dancers of all ages and skill levels. For all these reasons and more, Dorsi Plantar is now the single most common dance move anywhere in the world, and is generally recognised as being "Perfectly Normal Behavior." Following the success of this dance revolution, Rune has gone on to create a musical movement of the same name. Like the dance move, this music has been developed through an exhaustive search of historical material, which had been carefully recorded onto vinyl for posterity. These records were collected and combined under the name Dorsi Plantar to create a new rhythmic creation with the same universal appeal and ease of enjoyment which made his infamous move such a huge success. Now, for the first time, Kyoku Records have been given the opportunity to present Dorsi Plantar's phenomenal creations as a collectible vinyl pressing, featuring an exclusive remix by Paxton Fettel. Simply place Dorsi Plantar's "Perfectly Normal Behavior" EP in an appropriate player and we guarantee that you will perform his signature move entirely by instinct.

Summer is here and a new name joins the All Day I Dream family. DSF, hailing from Greece,
creates magical house music in his studio and these tracks are an amazing introduction.
Expect to see his name everywhere soon.

'One With The Music' which was featured on Lee Burridge's essential mix has been a major
track the past few months for a few lucky DJ's.
'Mystika' has a smoother more summery vibe to it with a killer vocal drop. Classic house
vibes for sunny days.
'Ammoudia' is another beautiful track that keeps building through it's glassy sounds and
almost operatic vocals.
'Kyklades' - To finish off the EP a really unique and unusual track. Operatic vocals swim over
a sauntering groove. Definitely not a track everyone will embrace but a special moment for
the brave.

Debut release for RA journalist Dan Petry using the moniker Ged. The Dry River ep is an accomplished first outing that fans of Drexciya, Dave Clarke and Objekt should investigate. Ged's sound is rooted in Detroit Electro, early rave, 90s Warp sensibilities and the gorgeous electronica palettes of Manchester's Skam label, most notable on early Boards Of Canada and Bola's work. That is to say kicking drums, dark brooding undercurrents and delicious soundscapes. Definitely worth checking.

Final 12” to complete the trilogy from the prolific S.A.M.

Berlin via Los Angeles' Steve Huerta first made a name for himself on labels such as Amadeus (run by fellow Californian Urulu) and Retrofit - usually in collaboration with homeboy Yooj - who is known these days as Gene On Earth. Like the latter, Huerta has reinvented his sound with appearances on In Dust We Trust, Oscillat, and now with this terrific new four tracker for Berlin based retroverts Slow Life. From the hypnotic old-school swing of "Metafiction" with S Moreira, the sun-kissed broken beat of "Loose Thread" (calling to mind classic Atjazz) to the woozy and minimal "Pale Fire", this single perfectly fits the label's open end parties aboard the Hoppetosse.

New low profile Uncage sublabel for everything house.

Label Quote "Turquoise Colored French Tourists are back with six pool-party essentials for your next lousy bathing event in your parents' backyard. Early support by everyone you know and your mama"

Short Info:
Turquoise Colored French Tourists release their Pöseldorf Poolparty EP, a 6 track extravaganza of high end production, House music know how mixed with Funk and a flair for live drum sounds which elevate this EP.

The artists behind this - Scharbatke and Bias joined forces having met years ago in their favourite bar Goldengrün and agreed after a few gin's to establish the live performing House music super group Turquoise Colored French Tourists. With their differing backgrounds both coming to play in this EP, adding a depth to the groove.

This record is essential for the most in the know Poolpartys, for the most exclusive parts of town - we begin the EP with the title track, motes of DamFunk and a truly groovy opener that should loosen things up nicely as the still hyper funky but more straight up and dance-able Altona im Sonnenschein carry's us onwards.

Crepes takes us deeper, Housier but still with a tweaked aesthetic that marks this out from others. A true adventure in jacked rhythm. The EP continues to turn gently into the more filtered House vibe with Spätfolgen, whilst not forgetting its funky roots with Jameson. The latter bringing a slight 80's touch to the vibe - if there is one thing this EP does well its keeping it fresh at each and every turn.

Closing the EP "Feels so good" lets the melody flow a little, warm and inviting with a little bit of everything that has come before it.

Diynamic's sublabel 2DIY4 will be releasing an EP of Moby remixes, with four different takes from four integral members of the label family. Swiss production duo Adriatique open the release with their version of 'Wait For Me'. Preserving the original's distinctive piano line, the pair's subtle update uses a deep bassline and rearranges the breathy vocals for a more dancefloor facing version of the original. Their latest remix of Marc Romboy and Stephan Bodzin's 'Atlas' has been a big success, hitting #1 on Beatport. Magdalena takes on 'Why Does My Heart Feel So Bad'; a stomping build up utilises elements of the original's percussion over a rumbling sub bass, before a break down mid-way through reveals the vocal line. Stimming uses a rather old school build up approach for his percussive remix of 'Natural Blues', with a gradual rise in complexity; running at over 10 minutes, the track is a more upbeat take on the original suitable for peak time sets. Meanwhile, Johannes Brecht's take on the same track features the original piano motif, a grooving bass line and the vocals taking a more prominent role. The Moby remixes EP is an original series of tasteful reimaginings of the producer's most iconic songs from some of Diynamic's most established artists.

Through a misty, nostalgic lens of long days and nights lost in front of sound systems, Soundbwoy Killah delivers his much anticipated debut album to Sneaker Social Club. True to previous drops on this and other labels, this is rave romanticism with a bite, as much viewing the good old days with a wry smile as longing for their return. Just listen to the opening strains of “Escape Velocity,” as the MC manages a sticky situation and tries to keep cool while sending the crowd on their way “in an orderly fashion.”

As much as hardcore, jungle, acid, techno and house inform Halcyon Daze, the sonic signifiers of that ‘golden era’ of rave culture are bedded in a poignant, reflective shroud. From lingering pads to distant, reverb drenched vocal snatches, a hint of melancholy hovers over these scattered but vivid memory triggers. Reese bass has never reverberated so deep, sirens never sounded so lost at sea.

The real art in Soundbwoy Killah’s craft lies in the juxtaposition between these languid, introspective elements and bright, sharply rendered arcs of sound that bring the music right into the foreground. This isn’t a pure exercise in nostalgia – stripped of their aggressive armour plating, a lot of these familiar elements take on a new expressive identity. Whether it’s the strafing arps in “Tom Loves To Rave,” or softly nudging the rolling breaks of “Under The Influence” into a downtempo, chill-out room headspace, Halcyon Daze proves how much mileage there still is in these battle-scarred sonic tools.

It’s not all one-dimensionally downcast either – “Heartbeats” is a rude n’ ruff celebration of amen choppage, while “Wanna Hold U” channels the ghost of UK garage with one eye cast back to its US house roots. “All Night Long” finishes the record on a charging high, all tightly clipped tech step beats and bright synths that cast their gaze ahead with optimism. The themes of lost love and fuzzy memories echo throughout Halcyon Daze, but rather than wallowing in the past, this open-ended finishing move springs forward with purpose. One gets the feeling there’s plenty more to come from Soundbwoy Killah.

C-EDITS presents "Ceeside edits"! Five cuts, re-edited and re-arranged in the usual C-EDITS manner! *****Limited vinyl only*****

OOSSHA continues her path with a second release by G. Markus titled Warning! OOSSHA is an outlet for music that’s dedicated to house and alternative styles while always maintaining ferce and unique ingredients that conquer hearts. UK producer Ben Gomori revisits his G. Markus alter ego for an EP that pays tribute to the Jungle and Drum & Bass soundtrack of his formative years. Dreemscape ’93 opens the EP; a vibey piece that instantly recalls old school house tracks with its use of a contagious groove, fltered elements and a specifc vocal sample taken from Dreamscape's 1993 NYE party. On the same side we find queniv turning B side track The Sleepless Moon into his unique blend of breakbeat elements and twisted ambient layers. On the fipside, Roger Gerressen turns Dreemscape 93’ into his own interpretation of lo-f fltered chord sweetness and combining it with hypnotizing Rhodes patterns. B2 makes space for the original Sleepless Moon which is all about the rhythms. Intricate midi programming triggers acoustic drum samples that intertwine with twinkling ear candy and a jungle break before breaking up the patterns with an infectious bassline.

Dansu Discs are back again, this time with local lad Interplanetary Criminal issuing a huge summer time UKG EP! 5 brand new tracks to keep you moving across this warm season. Keep an ear out on the b side as well as label favourite Breaka slices up a massive remix of Sensational...

The next release have a fusion with two great artists. "Mateo Dufour" join the keyboards and "Bs As deep" gives rhythm, percussions and bass. We believe that this mix will create an exquisite house music with late 90´s dyes.

One original by "Bs As deep" and 3 more in collaboration with Mateo Dufour, this is our next release "OWRV005 - THE MOST PURE EXPRESSION"

festival. after work or a beach club.

Constant Black regular Michael James back with a killer 3 track EP.

Founded in 1990 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Cold Front were what you'd call early adaptors, their music at the time of its inception an oddity. This fourpiece, consisting of spouses Ayanna and Cam Muata, Jon Jon Scott and Ron Clark, were far ahead of their time and faded just as rapidly as they entered the stage, only playing a handful of local shows in support of Nine Inch Nails, Meat Beat Manifesto and such, alongside several cameos during early house nights and techno events.

Though short lived, their music nevertheless speaks volumes. It's intriguing stuff, a magical association of sound reminiscent of Ron Hardy and Klein MBO. New Beat-like drum parts, overdubbed by politically engaged raps, basslines that would make The Cure proud, held together by freakout speaking in tongues vocal experiments while also showing an obvious parallel to the rise of triphop at the other side of the ocean.

Beyond the Beat will burst dancefloors soon. In collaboration with Paris' recordshop Dizonord, Knekelhuis will close the summer of 2019 with this amazing gem.

Scotland's number one label present their stunning first release, remastered for 2018. Title track "OSB" has lit up many a dance floor down the years and the flip's menacing "It's Dark, But I'm Not Afraid" has become a unique classic, lauded and loved by many. The haunting "Move Yo Body" rounds things off in true Hutton Drive twisted fashion. A definitive must-have.

Seven years down the line and Tamed Musiq is proud to present its first-ever album release: ,,Upstream Color" by Iron Curtis. This long-awaited follow-up to ,,Soft Wide Waist Band" represents a milestone for the Berlin-based producer and easily ranks as his most accomplished (and personal) work amidst an already brilliant repertoire. Similar to an impressionist painter, Iron Curtis portrays a well-known subject (house music) in a dream-like environment by employing a palette of ethereal sounds, subdued melodies and bass-heavy beats. The outcome is a beautiful aural experience and while ,,Upstream Color ,, never strays too from the dancefloor, the album requests multiple listens to unlock all of its mysteries.

After their 2015 debut Skymax are back with another cosmic disco trip on 12“.

extraterrestrial life.
Skymax are Stiletti-Ana (of finnish groups Jesse & Tähtiportti),
Feater (Running Back) and Sam Irl (Jazz & Milk / Freerange).

The Invariants is back with a fourth release on his self-titled imprint. After recent outings on the Dutch labels Delsin Records and Nous Klaer, the Amsterdam based producer steps back into his own world and delivers four trademark acidic machine work-outs. Dreamy atmospheres, slo-mo electro patterns and a powerful haunting ambient piece as a closer.

2nd vinyl release from Dream Raw Recordings featuring Sportsmen & Why Axis, Wallabee, Slim Hustla, gutinstinct.

Emotional sounds just right in time for the summer parties on the beach. Just pure melo keys drowning in dreamy pads & driving drums with hazy hats. Put your hands on this one fast, cause there are only 300.

A rare bit of wax from sunny California, 12 Inches Deep returns with the continuation of their original debut release, West Coast Dance Traxx Vol. 2. More no nonsense deep house & garage compiled for club use, this time featuring 3 of California's finest; Los Angeles based producer DJs, Ricky Tinez, Akumen, and label manager Urbanite, plus international support from UK/BE based Le Smoove. Leading the order is "That Day" (dub mix), an emotively dreamy, chord driven roller by Ricky Tinez, followed by the noticeably grittier, disco influenced groove of Akumen's "Inner Life" (All of Music). Info side we have "G-Groovez," an upbeat, breezy, shuffle from the likes of Le Smoove, with Urbanite's "Triple Filtered," a classically influenced garage house arrangement reminiscent of the anthemic 90's New York sound, to close things out. Overall, a lush assortment of trax suited for any box, or collection, with appreciation for "deep."

Wilcoxia poselgeri can be found primarily in South and West
Texas, as well as the adjoining Mexican state of Coahulia.
Sometimes referred to as the “Lead Pencil Cactus” or “Dahlia
Hedgehog Cactus” due to its slender stems and tuberous
Dahlia-like root system, Wilcoxia poselgeri grows in the sandy
soils of hills and valleys on either side of the Rio Grande. When
in bloom Wilcoxia poselgeri produces large, moderately
fragrant pink flowers that open during the day and close at
night. Initially erect, Wilcoxia poselgeri gradually begins
sprawling amongst its surroundings as it matures to support
the growing weight of new stems. Regarded as a slow-growing
yet uniquely beautiful specimen, Wilcoxia poselgeri’s relative
ease of cultivation makes it a remarkable addition to any
collection. Our botanists strive to source and produce highquality specimens to enrich your mind as well as your ears.
After many months in the field our team has returned with a
diverse selection of sonic seedlings. Following a series of
meticulous experiments in our research facility each seedling
has been deemed safe for general propagation and cleared for
release.

The enigmatic duo, Italoboyz, bring their distinct sound to Crosstown Rebels, and invite Crosstown affiliate Yulia Niko to provide the remix.

The original cut of Midnight Summer Dream is a fourteen minute epic journey through time and space. The track is dark and dreamy with Durant's tripped out vocals entwined with uplifting, cosmic arpeggios. Yulia Niko develops a deeper bassline on her take- stripped back with a grungier style.

Italoboyz, the duo of Marco Donato and Federico Marton, have been on a musical voyage since 2002. They have released over a hundred tracks for revered imprints including VIVa Music, Moon Harbour and Circus. In 2012 they launched their seminal label Superfiction, alongside Blind Minded, with the aim to create a movement. Yulia Niko has released on esteemed labels such as Get Physical, Plant74 and MATTER+, In 2017 Mixmag named her as one of their '20 Artists To Know Who Are Rising From The Underground'. Yulia also recently launched her vinyl only imprint, TochnoTechno.

The second EP of Kapucci is a crispy, genius breaktune that goes from house to electro and everything in-between. Followed by a characteristic RMX of Phil Evans, fits perfect for your night.

Skillful producer, Module One unveils with "Voyage" a melodic, sophisticated and rousing EP, that oscillates between down-to-earth (A1, A2) and mindblowing deep-house (B1, B2).

Have you ever heard about Basketball House? Rebound Lounge is a label and production project consisting of DJ Dog(aka DJ Fett Burger) & Double Dancer. Both of them are Norwegian dj/producers and they have been based in Berlin for the last 10 years. Together they produce all the music released on the label as well as creating the graphic profile. Now it is time for the slamming 3rd record in the series and this one is cleverly named ‘Rebound Lounge 3′. They have been ‘Rejuvenating the basketball house scene since 2016′ as they like to say. A genre they claim to have invented and thus rejuvenated since day 1. The statement does not make much sense.. Anyway, in the music presented they are using sounds from the basketball world and weave this in to the productions. It can be a shoe rubbing on the wooden court, a cheering audience, a yelling coach or a heavy slam dunk. Sometimes clearly audible, sometimes hidden deep in the mix. From this mixture the unique Rebound Lounge sound is created.

At the end of 2014, Moon Harbour celebrated their decade long association with Luna City Express in the form of a fine
compilation of hits. Featuring all the German duo's greatest tracks, the label has now enlisted some serious talents to remix
them for this new Ten Years Remixed compilation.

Luna City Express is Norman Weber and Marco Resmann, a production duo that has defined the modern house and tech house
scene with their continuously on point and inventive originals and remixes, and now their greatest moments get new surges of
life at the hands of a range of contemporary stars. Some are label regulars and some are brand new to the stable, but all come
up with the goods.

Up first, AudioJack flip 'The Next Level' into a trippy bit of groove driven tech with tightly coiled bass. Hamburg's Sidney Charles
- one of the most charted artists around - then turbo charges 'I Don't Think So' with his trademark hard hitting drums. After that,
Einzelkind's Para Yok Mix of 'Magic Bazar' is a more melodically inclined effort that twists and turns with a slick energy.

Spanish star Hector Couto then keeps things deep and rubbery with his version of 'Are You Ready' and Oliver Dollar and
Matthew K layer up warm and soothing loops on their Play Prime Mix of the steamy and sensuous 'REM'. One of the most
seminal names in deep, spiritual and jazzy house is Kevin Yost, and he is enlisted to do his thing on 'Celebration Of Life', which
turns out to be a spooky, late night cut full of percolating tension.

Elsewhere, Supernova step up with a direct and piano laced remix of 'Gloria', Marco Faraone injects some lithe acid into his
techno leaning version of 'Get High', the lovable Italoboyz let their personalities shine in their big and bouncy remix of 'Luna City
Lab', young Defected stars Flashmob keep things chunky and kick driven on their take on 'Mr. Jack' and finally Oliver Dollar and
Matthew K serve up another remix of REM that is deeper and more organic, sombre and richly melodic.

All in all this compilation offers up lots of heat for DJs and dancers alike and proves that as well as Luna City Express being an
unstoppable force, that Moon Harbour also have their finger on the pulse when it comes to the next generation of stars.

Coming from the well-received Rio Grande 12Inch Produced by DJ Gigi Testa comes an eagerly awaited Deep House Jam that is destined to be an underground classic. Coming out directly from the camp of the NEUHM family from Naples; young DJ Fabrizio Fattore produces his very composition. Not everyone gets it right the first time, however there is no denying that Fabrizio Forturo is one of the few who achieved his goal of making a dope jam.

Following his release on Stockholm's Bossmusik, Kalawila's third release really makes mountains go boom! The strength in the second release on Mountain Explosion Device is undoubtedly Kalawila's sense of rhythm; straight to the point, no BS grooves, that swarm to form total dj tools, plus a subtle atmosphere that will move this record from the shelves into the booths. Clocked into a near 13 minutes journey, this monster A-side of a track feels like a celebration of everything that makes us gather during those late hours. Paired with a sonic wall that resembles mid 90's lust for experimentation, which marks the entire A side of Kalawila's second release on his label. On the flip you'll find even further explorations into the same territory. Rest assured that Virunga's less organic but more metallic approach will find a place in the hands of more daring dj's and listeners. The final track is a remix from Jana Sleep: a long lost tale of hibernation that keeps most hypnotists on the edge for more. This is only the beginning!

Oliver Dollar returns to his own Industry Standard imprint after his debut album ‘Another Day Another Dollar’ and the run of singles on IS were licensed to Classic Music Company.
‘Dreams for Sale’ is stellar collaborative cut with Detroit’s Mike ‘Agent X’ Clark featuring vocals from Dr Tingle Fingers. The single also welcomes Bendersnatch to the Industry Standard family who step up on remix duties. The original work kicks off with a rich house groove, paving the way for a slightly eerie strings loop and subtle pumping bass line which locks you in from the off. Dr Tingle Fingers delivers beautiful spoken word in classic house form proving simplicity really can be key as the track develops effortlessly throughout its entirety.
Bendersnatch takes things towards the backroom as darker fuzzy kicks rattle you inside and reverb soaked stabs float effortless over the even more minimalistic percussion. Tingle Fingers’ vocals appear in stripped back form complimenting the more underground tones of the rework. Dreams for Sale’ is a strong return for the label with two tracks that cover classic
deeper house, and crunchy off-kilter techy vibes. The limited vinyl release will be
followed by a digital release at a later date.
