« Remixes » is a meeting of French electronic champions.
French Touch veterans I:Cube and Chateau Flight, trendsetting DJ Raphael Top Secret and newcomers Flegon provide us with remixes of the autumn released LP « Sphere Of Existence » by Antoine Kogut.
Where the LP explored atmospheric and experimental pop, « Remixes » gives us a perfect four tracker that is made for the dancefloor.

On side A, Chateau Flight transforms the title track « Sphere Of Existence » into a 90's Italo house banger while I:Cube does what he does best in his unexpected dub version. On the B side, Raphael Top Secret reworks « Current density » into a Hip House track full of jaunty vibrations and newcomer band/label Flegon fulfilled their goal of working with their all time favorite French Touch pioneer label Versatile giving us a Nu-Disco remix of the song « L 'oeillet noir ».

The past few years have seen Berlin's Frag Maddin release material on Waze & Odyssey's W&O Street Tracks, Rough Recordings and Egg London's What Came First as well as offering up a remix on Roog & Dennis Quin's EP for Madhouse where her returns to here for a full EP featuring remixes from fellow Berlin based acts Black Loops and Kevin Over.

Taking the lead on the package is 'The Zauberflo¨te' with it's skippy hi-hats, hooky organ licks, hypnotic Rhodes melodies and vocal cuts all further fuelled by a snaking sub-bass groove to create a slice of authentic house for one of the leading labels of the genre. Black Loops turns in a remix of 'The Zauberflo¨te' next, stripping things back to a deeper, more refined feel with spiraling, filtered elements of the original wandering around swinging 909 drums to create a groove-drive counterpart to the original.

'Focus' opens the latter half of the package, the second original from Frag Maddin which employs chugging square wave bass tones and dynamically evolving drums alongside tension building strings and choppy stabs before Keving Over closes the package with his gritty take on 'Focus', featuring crunchy drums, dusty chords and cleverly arranged string and key samples.

Frag Maddin's 'Ferienhouse' EP is out on Madhouse Records 13th April 2018.

Paolo Mantini is back on Rebirth with the new composition 'Jump Over The Hill'.
Musician, poli-intrumentalist Paolo studied double bass at the Conservatory of Brescia (Italy) and attended Electronic Music Composition at the Berklee College of Music. He is also behind Clockbeats and he boasts a worldwide network of professionals within the Music Industry.

Paolo's debut single in 2017, 'Next Generation', remixed by Pépé Bradock, has been played and appreciated worldwide, with enthusiastic support. 'Jump Over The Hill' is another sublime piece of music, exploring rooted disco and funk, with a contemporary dancefloor swing, perfect to really get a party going. A killer mix of rolling drums, wobbling (rubber) bass line, jazzy chords and infectious piano lines.

We are very happy to have Dego and Kaidi aka 2000black on this project. They produce a timeless remix with their unique futuristic beats and a mix of jazz, soul and electronic vibes. Glenn Astro delivers a delightful modern jazz-synth-funk influenced version, and, included here, is also the sought after Shield re-edit of 'Next Generation' featuring a live drum played by Francisco Mora, known for his collaboration with Innerzone Orchestra and The Detroit Experiment, heavily supported by Gilles Peterson.

Detroit double label split release: Peter Croce's Rocksteady Disco and Blair French's Fat Finger Cosmic join forces to bring you ...For Todd. Topher Horn opens the release with the jazzy and conga-driven 'Photo For Todd', a midtempo cut for peak time. He follows with 'Chopped Rhodes', a downtempo beatdown cut, with Topher's own live Rhodes and Moog Sub 37 performance driving this track. On the flip BLKSHRK (aka Blair French + Eddie Logix) follow a similar formula with very different results. 'Swimming For Todd' is for the cosmic Balearic heads, and 'Ticket Stub' is for the most blunted of after hours. WAREHOUSE FIND, extremely limited numbers. Housed in a fully color jacket.

London's Silverlining turns in another two underground bombs on this sought-after label, this time with two tracks never released before on vinyl. "A Paradoxical Insistance" is fresh from 2018, with his trademark skip and depth, while "Turn, Turn, Turn" employs the spoken-word talents of Canada's Effluence with trippy bleeps and cavernous stabs. Like all releases on the label, the tracks have been mastered to tape, and cut onto deliciously chunky 180g vinyl.

DJ Dan has been a pinnacle of the dance music scene in America since the early 90s and has toured around the world with the likes of Carl Cox, DJ Sneak and Pete Tong to name a few. Dan's label imprint InStereo is played by many top DJs around the world and Dan has chosen some of his strongest releases for Vol. 2 of the Slammin Trax series.

audiobooks are pleased to share a remix bundle for their latest single, 'Friends in the Bubble Bath', out now via Heavenly Recordings. The release features two remixes by Gabe Gurnsey (Factory Floor) and one each from Welsh songstress Gwenno and audiobooks' own David Wrench. 'I love audiobooks, and 'Friends in the Bubblebath' is brilliant,' Gwenno says. 'I wanted to create a reflective atmosphere around Evangeline and David's lyrics, to try and compliment the story and that feeling of the party still trying to keep going at 3am, as parties tend to do.'

'It was a real pleasure to be asked to remix audiobooks' as I'm a big fan of theirs,' Gurnsey adds. 'I wanted to take all that energy they exude vocally and musically and bring it onto the dance floor. I ended up working on two remixes which work side by side, reflecting that chemistry David and Evangeline have in their live performances.

After the runaway success of Field Of Dreams' first record, the boys decided it was time to get another one out there.

However, this time they wanted to showcase the talent of Istanbul's KaaN, a man they had previously remixed, a remix which was a big favourite of a certain Mr Andrew Weatherall. KaaN's latest track is another authentic slice of Turkish dance music with incessant eastern drum rhythms and melodies that make you feel like you're right in the middle of Istanbul's Grand Bazaar.

The Field of Dreams boys add a hypnotic 303 to the proceedings and away we go.
Finally, as a bonus track, they have added their amazing remix of Adab I Raki - an ALFOS favourite and worth the price of this 12" on its own!

recently received some demos from rising French artist and Concrete Paris regular DJ Marina Trench and liked the personality in those tracks, something really House in my opinion! For this ''Signature ep 1'' (which is her first release) Marina presents three House cuts. I asked New York House legend Kerri Chandler if he felt as strongly as i did on those tracks and if he could bless us with a remix, he accepted, and delivered this Deep and Powerfull version of MTME. And Roman Poncet and myself could not resist and give a stripped down hypnotic interpretation of Cascade under our Fang Moniker. Dj Deep.

The group started in 2016 and their artistic practice ranges from video art to documentary films, sound and environmental installations, as well as photography, DJ performances, radio shows curation and fashion soundtrack projects.

The charmed ascent of Eagles & Butterflies, and his intertwined fate with Innervisions, reaches its most fully-realised moment. From his acclaimed Secret Weapons appearances - 'The Story That Never Ends' in 2015, and 2016's 'X' - the British producer has further refined his layered, complex sound world, and set the underground ablaze with a series of masterful sketches.

Hybrid Man is the newly formed Melbourne-Based duo of Julien Huynh & Will Holden. Having established themselves in late 2018 the two have already seen a vast range of acknowledgement following a string of live hardware-based performances around the inner city districts and local radio stations Skylab Radio & PBS 106.7FM. This further on secured themselves a place in Resident Advisor's 'Twenty Four Hours In Our World' party at the prolific Melbourne venue Revolver Upstairs which was streamed globally via RA.

Their debut 4-track EP on Paper-Cuts sees the two's expression for versatility in their hardware-based approach to production and live performance, having seen light from a number of radio shows including DJ Moxie's show on NTS Radio. Following it's premiere on Resident Advisor their first track 'Drummond Bass' has gained worldwide attention ahead of the full release this year.

Koehler was hurled headlong flaming from the ethereal sky. This is his first offering for the ESP Institute. Side A recalls the hazy memory of an ear-worm chant heard over a decade ago on the streets of Thailand, a melody that since haunted the artist and has finally been exorcised by his own hand in the shape of 'Melencolia V'. Somewhere between an enchanted bashment and a sailor's watering hole, Koehler found a gargantuan kick drum that lands solely on the 4, slammed it together with a wide pulsing bassline and brutalized Dancehall snare, then laced it all up with his elusive synth melody. Add to this a generous sprinkle of finely-ground cosmic dust and we're all tripping the light fantastic. On the flip side, the artist buckles up for a rough and rapid-paced journey with 'Invidiosa' — a relentless snare scrapes, gouges and corrodes over 7 minutes, coupling with a simplistic bass loop and swiftly marauding through a demented assembly line, accumulating various nuts and bolts of instrumentation along the way — an undeniable dancefloor exciter for those hours when the club becomes unhinged, dancing becomes raving, and slightly more audacious folk can channel their inner truth. These two songs will have you question your existence.

To say the past 2 years have been busy for Peggy Gou would perhaps be an understatement. Prolific both in the studio and behind the decks, 2016 saw the release of no less than four EPs across three labels. Her two-part 'Art Of War' series on Rekids was interspersed with a contribution to our own 'Phonica White' series of 12's.Gou is an old regular of the store, and the result, 'Day Without Yesterday' / 'Six O Six', was a pair of offbeat club anthems that showed a funkier side on the former title and her first initial foray into vocals on the acidic latter. Following her huge landmark Ninja Tune release, Peggy gets to release one of her earlier favourites - a subtle deep house groover that comes complete with a remix from one of her favourite DJs, Ge-ology. The Baltimore native relocated to New York City in the 80s where he has found acclaim for over two decades, however he remains somewhat of a mystery. Over the course of his career, he's worked with the likes of Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Jill Scott, De La Soul, Yukimi Nagano (Little Dragon), Jem and even a young Tupac Shakur. After years of producing dominantly hip-hop tempo releases, he defiantly returned in 2015 with the well-received dance floor monster 'Moon Circuitry' on Theo Parrish's esteemed Sound Signature imprint. Although his roots in composing 4-on-the-floor dance tempo music dates as far back as his earliest hip-hop beats, this seemingly 'new' direction boldly challenged expectations based on his previous body of work yet his very first production appearance came in the form of a collaboration with the Baltimore-based house music legends, The Basement Boys, who used one of his tracks for their 'Those Guys' moniker in 1993.Here, he takes Peggy's laidback track and adds his own touch, taking the initial riff and layering several lines of groovy kicks before introducing a sharp synth stab. Harder-hitting than its predecessor, Ge-ology's edit is a supremely danceable cut, and better suited to the late-night floor than Peggy's more mellow original .Artwork as always is supplied by the talented Pedro Carvalho de Almeida.

Produced at different stages over the course of an entire year, the Conscious EP is the sound of two producers at the peak of their powers. In one corner is Rossko, the longstanding FUSE resident, best known for his knack for unearthing cutting-edge house and techno sounds— and a man who values a quality-over-quantity approach to production. In the other is Per Hammar, the Sweden-born, Berlin-based resident of Malmo's much-respected Kiloton party and the owner of the Dirty Hands and 10YEARS labels. Rossko's second release on Fuse-affiliated labels and the first collaboration between the pair, this stifling hot three-tracker has already won support from label boss Enzo Siragusa and Seb Zito, with both DJs using the record to great effect in recent sets for Mixmag.

We kick off with the brilliantly trippy and relentless strands of 'Unconscious'. A hypnotic cut that's hypnotic, playful and thoroughly unpredictable, it showcases both producers' knack for high class tech-house with some panache. A fascinating sign of things to come, it gets us underway in seriously auspicious fashion.

Middle track 'Subbconscious' is one that's been lighting up dancefloors for a while now, with both long-standing Fuse founder Enzo Siragusa and long-time Fuse member Seb Zito both using the track to great effect at Fuse's recent 10 year celebrations. A perc-heavy track that's imbued with some wonderful tribal samples, the atmosphere is duly brought up a notch here by the time the track heads for deeper pastures. A thoroughly engaging and unique proposition, 'Subconscious' is very much the sound of an impressive and reciprocal collaborative effort.

Rounding off the release is the suitably-named 'Dubbsconcious'. A nimble, quick-footed gem that again showcases the pair's understanding (as well as their love for off-kilter motifs), this one is all about the relentlessness of the groove. A canny DJ tool that should keep the night ticking over at a consistent pace, it closes an eclectic release in impressive fashion.

Set to drop across a double vinyl on 12.09, with 11 all exclusive original tracks from new and old favourites including Detroit Swindle, Nachtbraker, The Revenge and Felix Leifur. Following up his stellar EP, the Icelandic prodigy brings us Feels Like", a great broken beat like house cut laden with jangly percussion, warbling Rhodes and golden vocal hook, Phat! Detroit Swindle, long time friends and contributors to the label who have become a household name in the house scene and are no strangers to the dance floor weapon, have brought us a bomb. Tori Karaage' is a driving, sweat inducing, disco house, dance floor mover. Ponty Mython is back with his trademark hustle and quirky sonic styling. A bouncing, intelligent and catchy groove rises with cries of New York, New York' then gives way to a great break and spiraling arpeggio before getting right back to it. Get freaky with another one of our residents Nachtbraker, who delivers an a-typical groove and fresh approach to deep house.

After having several successful releases out on labels like We Play House, Shadeleaf and House Of Disco, Art Of Tones returns to our beloved LT family with a second 12" 'The Rainbow Song' is the follow up to The Same Thing EP released back in 2013.

If you've come across Art Of Tones before you know what's in store for you. The Rainbow Song got all the signatures of a great Art Of Tones track. It's uplifting, got a tight groove, a strong vocal hook and well crafted jazz-like rhodes chords, it's damn catchy!

For remix duties we find one of Paris' finest purveyors of high quality underground electronic music, S3A aka Max Fader. Max showcases his deep seated love for disco and house and has created a version that celebrates both, while aiming straight for your hips.
With just a few added elements he takes the track in a different but no less powerful direction.

London based producer & DJ Books comes through on Omena with an EP that follows on from his acclaimed 'Feel It In My Bones' & 'High Praise Edits Vol.1'. on XVI Records.
Two releases which garnered widespread following from the likes of Gilles Peterson, The Black Madonna, Sassy J, Moodymann, Ashley Beedle, Lefto and last but not least Omena's very own Tooli.

To complete the package Laurence Guy puts his spin on the title track.

FINA co-owner Corbi makes his long-awaited debut on the label with three tracks of his playful, inventive house
sounds. He has made a notable impact in just a couple of years, with EPs and edgy, in demand edits on The
Bricks, Music For Freaks and Morris Audio.

Opener 'Samurai' continues in that rich vein, with seven sublime minutes of dreamy house. It's awash with
gorgeous chords and vocals, adding to the escapist effects of a truly lush track. The smooth 'Access Serenity'
slows things down, with loose drum tumbles, summery and Balearic string sounds and exotic, tropical percussion
that take you direct to the beach. Last of all, 'Warp' with J33 reworks a cult classic with driving, elastic drums and
bass and the original's deadpan vocal style. Add in curious whistles and the whole perfectly off-balance groove is
sure to get big reactions.

Hailing from Saint-Petersburg — the rave capital of Russia as they referred to in the 90's — Maruwa is an upcoming DJ and producer that fuses many of her musical influences.

Being a classically trained pianist and a child of the 90's / 00's, Maruwa's productions link emotional impressionism and IDM atmospherics with tropes of breakbeat hardcore and rawness of dancefloor oriented house.

Highlife are happy to welcome Salon des Amateurs regulars, Mekine U Teksi into the fold for some Kurdish hypnotism. Such a great uplifting bounce going on with these!

HVMBLE is a newly-formed Berlin-based collective engaged in house music production and label work. Merging ideas in a fresh way is the intent of our approach and sound. Exchange in a diverse community is key to our spirit. HVMBLE aims at staying versatile. HVMBLE'S debut-EP series 'Textures' features an eclectic practice where diverse elements of dance music are teamed playfully. Hypnotizing groove structures, vibrant Hi- Hats and a sublty-formed Bottom-End unite and stimulate the bodymind. Textures invites the listener/dancer to float through skillfully meshed patterns and dreamy layers, to experience promising new spaces. The sounds appearance and cover-artwork was created by visual artist Peter Aurisch. Textures is a collective creation.

Spanish producer Pe´pe's first foray on LPH.

It starts off unassumingly, with a bright, airy beach boogie that's all gentle drums and trebly synth figurations, but it quickly turns its eye to the strobe-lit nightclub, first with 'Delusions of Grandeur,' an angular hypnosis of syncopated rhythms, then with 'Aerial,' a 130 BPM blitz with an epic build and an equally dramatic breakdown. Capping it off is '50 AM,' which, as the name indicates, is a woozy shuffle that'll help you land the plane nice and easy.

Bloor West, the second EP from Rich P & Lee on Deeptrax Records. Techno grooves from a talented producer. We start with 'Fruity Flute' cleverly sampled fluites on the background provided a thriving kick on great analogue feel recorded production. The second single 'Ownme' has a beautiful synth line on a superbly produced rhythm with cut vocals on top. On the B side you'll find 'Ate My Heart', an UK sounding breaks track with Burial like percussions. 'Bellbottoms Ghost' is a short 3 minute track that starts with beautiful ambient synths flowing into electro breaks that has almost a dub/reggae kind a feel. As they describe it themselves: "This is the first ever collaboration between Richando Procopio and Mr. Jonny Lee after meeting in Dr. Sixto's clinic in Luxembourg back in 2003. Lee was a professional flute player for chamber orchestra back then and Richando was a full time fisherman. Fast forward to summer 2017, under Dr. R. Don's supervision, the two were locked up in their Bloor West laboratory and managed to program and record few materials and these are some test samples of what came about." After the banging EP from Buddy Broke and the summer vibes of Mr. Crux on the Deeptrax Records sub label it is time for another jacking release. On our sub label we will do limited runs of great jax-ing dance-floor tracks. All are hand stamped, very limited and pressed at Deepgrooves, our very own pressing plant!

With "Nekromant" the labelheads Avidus are back on Empore Music, to present their darker side. The original consists of powerful arpeggiators rolling on a triplet-beat with a trancy vibe. The remix from Jens-Uwe Beyer, formerly known as Popnoname and as the curator of the label Magazine, delivers a dreamy remix from the original with nice organic percussive elements. Berlin based Sebastian Voigt, who has been making waves with his release on Outcast Oddity, completes the remixes with a straightened interpretation of the original back to a 4 to the floor beat, even adding even more drive and power if compared to the original. The EP comes full circle with a beatless "Synthapella" from the original.

A re-release of this classic debut album by Christian Löffler from 2012. Comes with 180g vinyl, CD and poster.
Christian Löffler is co-founder of Ki Records and well known for his intense, deep moving sound with melancholic undertones. He started to play music at the age of 14. But living in a secluded region near the Baltic Sea, without a musical surrounding, he had to teach himself the essentials of making electronic music. After several stunning releases for Ki and Orphanear, the imprint of Dial's co-founder Pawel, his debut 'A Forest' is now being released through Ki.

4 tracks, 2 bangers: D.K. starts a new season in the Antinote league with a 12' 100% dedicated to the dancefloor. There's a perfume of jungle (not the genre, the one from Donkey Kong Country, in case someone has still not made the connection between Nintendo's #1 gorilla and the French producer) emanating from the whole record. The Parisian producer has also been taking a peep on some early 1990's rave records (but who isn't at the moment), as demonstrated by the two first songs, Mystic Warrior and perhaps even more flagrantly Elements - with its emotional pads and sad mock Jon Hassel-like trumpets.

Worries In The Dance, and Earth People are more of a warm up business - so to speak, in the language of the club. D.K. takes a step back, BPM-wise, only to allow a deeper exploration of the surroundings - namely shamans with bamboo flutes circling around you, monks meditating under a cascade, others ringing a prayer bell - that have more to do with Age Of Empire or any 1990's adventure game set in a fantasized Asia than anything that actually exists IRL (probably a distinctive signature of the French producer). Anyway, there's a Bruce Lee sticker on the sleeve that says it all, in a much more concise way.
