Venda is one of Australia's fastest rising stars in the minimal and house music scene and with previous releases on labels like Body Parts his music is now starting to reach a more global audience and its easy to hear why with infectious groove based cuts like this. On remix duties is one of our favourite remixers, FUSE London & Moscow Records star, Archie Hamilton with his stellar dance floor interpretation.

One of Detroits true talents today, Amp Fiddler joins forces with Grammy Winner Louie Vega hitting you with some funk deep house on Vega Records.
Amp Fiddler is the quintessential singer / musician who has played in the seminal band Parliament with George Clinton, and has had his own band for years now. Louie has always wanted to work with Amp since first meeting him at the Montreaux Jazz Festival when Amp and his band and Elements Of Life were on the same bill on the Worldwide stage.
Finally coming together, Amp reaches out to Louie for a remix and the result is a beautiful soulful song written and produced by Amp Fiddler. The remixes by Louie Vega combining deep house sounds with the funk synths played by Axel Tosca.
There's one version where Amp did more lead vocal overdubs and adlibs, as well a funktified synth solo version which gets immediate response when played.
The four versions on 12' vinyl lend itself to different moods and are sure to bring you a dancefloor or house party on fire!
Available at all vinyl stores, distributed by Above Board.

On our tenth Belters outing, we're borrowing the mighty fine Bostro Pesopeo from Permanent Vacation.. we've been big admirers of his music for many years now and he contributed to our mix series back in the day. These particular tracks were actually ones he gave away on Soundcloud and we immediately messaged him saying we'd release them. Took a while, but here there are. DJ support from Barnt, Midland, Erol Alkan, etc.
Back in the days at the west-Saxon highlands there was a missile, which marked the starting point. When Credit 00 saw the legendary rocket rise on Tetris' final screen, it was the first time he became aware of electronic music at all. Since then it actually hasn't changed that much. He keeps pushing that buttons that belong to the impressive pool of music machines towered up next to his bed.
After moving to Dresden in 2000 to study fine arts, his passion for synthesizers and drum machines got nurtured through visits of Dresden's club-canalisation. He quickly made himself a name as a DJ, who is just doing his own thing and got popular for that reason. As a part of the Idealfun-crew he started hosting parties always in the twilight zone between legal and illegal. This led to Robo Dance', Dresden's only and (also for some other reasons) best Electro club night featuring guests like DMX Krew, Luke Eargoogle or Imatran Voima. The track Credit made with Randy Barracuda of Imatran Voima has probably been created some time after the show. Apparently, Randy was not in good shape anymore and so Lebensraum' unmistakably bears Credit's hallmarks.
For his own music he's inspired by cannibal movies, number theory and birds. Still, his music is not easy to pigeonhole. After all, he loves Synth Wave, Electro, Afro, Kraut, Kosmische, Disco, Italo, Miami Bass and other Proto stuff - a lot of machine music.
A1: eddie fowlkes - GIVE IT UP FOR MY DJ -This Detroit Techno sound by Eddie Fowlkes, representing the big room sound with pumping drums, effects, and the lead Electro sounding will have you everybody dancing. B1: eddie fowlkes - LOVE WORKS -
Once again, Fowlkes combining deep electro sounds and a semi swing drums with brilliant vocal sampling flowing thru, to make this a track to bang all day & late night!
Jose Lau delivers the fifth release on Urban Imagery. Four tracks from familial territory by a producer who originally hails from Managua, Nicaragua. What is evident in Jose Lau's debut release is the unique melding of traditional deep house elements with unassuming latin-funk percussion. Common throughout is his masterful use of Chicago-eque basslines and delicate pad movements alongside minor-key melodic underpinnings. The outcome is buffered by lo-fi harmonics and dub overtones. Late night introspective music to its core.

89:Ghost are thrilled to bring you an EP from talented Finnish producer Vesa-Matti, with an EP that could be a dub techno soundtrack to a Finnish sealife documentory, here's some direct info : "Tracks were written & produced by Vesa-Matti Kivioja in Vaasa, Finland, between 2011-2017 in three different locations, Highsquare Sound, Studio K & Seafront Mixingroom" : We seriously dig this dude, try check out his other, more ambient work too if you can. Peace - Nx
Barbir from Les Points delivers a truly inspiring EP for the 14th release on Concealed. The musical range is wide, spanning from Detroit flavoured House Music and Techno, to more futuristic Breakbeat stuff with hints of Electro. Tied together with swirling acid melodies and deep pads, mixed with uplifting beat and bass jams, all laid down over 6 quite different cuts. As a special treat, we find two collaboration with Louh on the B side as well... yay!

Texas native Demarkus Lewis is up next on the great D3 Elements label. This time, Demarkus brings his signature diverse house style on this release, which features tracks from his Mental Notes album that only came out digitally in 2011. Luckily for lovers of vinyl, D3 is putting out three of the gems from that release. First is the upfront house of Without Pause that is full of Demarkus' bumping drums, masterful combination of spacey, Detroit style electronics and swirling chords that will get anyone onto the dancefloor. Lady In Pink also features some wonderful spacey chords, but is a more downtempo, broken beat type of affair, resplendent with computer bleeps. Over onto the B side, Demarkus takes us into a more spiritual and deep territory, with Behind Closed Doors (Afro Main Mix). The afro rhythms coupled with Eman's spoken words turn this into a track that do wonders with a heaving, sweaty dance floor in the early hours. Another winner for the D3 Elements label.

New EP from Ethyène showcasing a raising maturity in his discography. Drawing samples from library music, dub, soul and R&B, this record delivers everything House Music has to, deepness, groove, love and sincerity.
No need to say that by launching a new imprint Ethyène decided to show a different side from his previous work. We can definitely feel it from the first second the record starts, with Static, mashing up samples from 80's dub music and west-coast funk to finally sound as a surprising modernized classic house anthem. The second track of the record 'Enove Lough' features a deconstructed and mysterious Rhodes loop delivering a smart groove until a delightful sexy vocal sample get in the mix to round off this deeper but easily danceable cut. The B-side of the record starts with 'Cape Town Mambo', a tune whose graceful horns loop keeps the listeners on an endless dreamy trip while its mid-tempo jazzy beat will have them hips sensually shaking without any doubt. The record has its consistency assured with ending on a 100 BPM powerful hip-hop beat with high-pitched and happy vocals as the Nirvana of this 4 tracks sensual and groovy journey.

Four new faces, four new sounds. Artists from Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dundee and London on one record. Basically, it's a quadruple A side bbz.
J Wax provides a classy African vocal laced rhythmic work out, a bold statement in loopy hip movement. Ted Jasper follows with a beautiful instrumental double bass led playful house experience. Think house meets MPC meets Nu-Jazz (*TIP*). On the flip Gavinco comes powering through with a deep guitar riff over some strong drums. This has made it into a few sets recently around town and really turns heads. Finally, Swayed drops a tune that is as exciting as having your bday at Wimpy. A New York Paradise Garage Vocal laced with fine horns and a baseline made to shake.
These tunes make people not want to go for a fag break.

Seth Troxler & The Martinez Brothers' Tuskegee Music welcomes Chicago legend K- Alexi Shelby for a new EP that features some essential solo cuts as well as two great collaborations with Tony Lovlesss.K-Alexi is a genuine Chicago great. He's been at the core of the scene since the eighties and releasing his raw grooves on DJ International, Trax and Transmat, as well as his own K Klassik label. He has recently remixed for Seth Troxler's other label, Say It Play It, but is now back serving up the sort of engaging originals that have made him such an enduring star.
Excellent opener 'Cherry K Moon' is a raw slice of deep and soulful tech. The driving bassline melts your mind as afro percussion and driving drums make for a solid groove below. It's one for the late-night hours that will twist and turn any crowd inside out. The superb 'Dark Smile' is less tense and more house oriented in nature, with preacher style vocals up top and busy kicks down low. Live, chattery hand claps bring an organic feel and synth stabs inject looseness that will get hands in the air.
The pressure then builds through the manic Tony Lovlesss collab 'Anal Probe', a powerful techno track with hi tech drums and taught synths freaking you out as they ride up and down the scale. Their second track together 'Fly Shit' is more playful with radiant synths opening it up to the skies and lively, funky drum programming bringing a real sense of a sun kissed terrace party. Last of all, the standout 'Run With Jackals' feat. A.D.M is another heavily percussive track with rattling toms, vocal chants and hammering hits all adding up to a compelling afro-house rhythm. These are all innovate tracks that explore various different moods and grooves with a real sense of quality.
Marcus Marr's 'Familiar Five: Remixed' EP via DFA Records, features remixes from Justin Van Der Volgen, Prosumer, Gerd Janson and Ara Koufax. 'It was fun to ask some of my favourite producers to remix these tracks,' notes Marr. 'I love Gerd's remixes and play them loads. Prosumer is a great producer and I've been a fan of his for ages. Justin Van Der Volgen I also love - his originals and his remixes are always interesting. And Ara Koufax I've been a fan of since their tune 'Brenda.''
Marr is no stranger to collaboration, working with Australian musician Chet Faker on 2015's Work EP. Work yielded two hit singles, 'Birthday Card' (Annie Mac's BBC Radio 1 first play, #1 Hype Machine) and 'The Trouble with Us' (#1 Hype Machine). The Familiar Five EP, however, shows him in his individual element, an artist and performer who understands just how to make superb music for both man and machine.

Francis Harris is one of the most interesting figures on the american electronic music cicruit and beyond. His output has gone from tightly wound tech house cuts as Adultnapper in the early days, sublime deep house as Frank & Tony, intricate and expressive musical journeys as evident in his two solo-albums 'Leland' and 'Minutes Of Sleep', and ambient shoegaze with two Aris Kindt albums, co-produced with Gabe Hedrick. Most recently Harris branched out with a new label - Kingdoms - a home for his love of a more adventurous sound. Up until now his most notable milestones remain the two solo-albums Leland (2012) and Minutes Of Sleep (2014) who became essential albums of the genre. Both albums have been out of print for a long time and due to public demand we are happy to present new vinyl editions of both albums. Carefully restored from original masters and artwork the albums now appear in gatefold-sleeves while Leland spans over three vinyl discs and Minutes Of Sleep over two, just like the sold out originals. ‚Leland' features Danish vocalist Gry on three tracks including lostfound,' the first single and video which was remixed by Mathew Herbert and debuted on Pitchfork. Also featured throughout are Emil Abramyan, whose poignant performance on cello evokes comparison to Arthur Russell, and Greg Paulus (No Regular Play/Matthew Dear Band), whose improvisational free jazz inspired trumpet accents converse thoughtfully with Harris' own tonal melodies performed on piano and guitar. Determined to produce electronic music with warmth and true dynamic range, Harris recorded and mixed Leland' with Jordan Li

Johannes Albert is a producer as diverse as they come. Comfortable across all sub genres of dance music from deep house to italo disco, in Italy they call him Giovanni Alberto. He's been praised by the likes BICEP, Gerd Janson, Lauer and the Keinemusik crew, and he's only just getting started.
The Dancing Plague EP is summer music for summer people. Opening with the hefty, wonky basslines of the club ready; TPTS. Gravy Train is a combination of grooving bass-lines and disco drums, the end result is a solid dancefloor stomper. The uniquely titled Pachanga follows, abundant with nu disco and italo references. This is a real summer track, as the sun sets in the city ahead of a huge party, the one that will entice the shyest of dancers to move. Keeping with the off the cuff track names, the EP finishes with the dusty, sun tinged Rainbow Pan.
Over the past ten years the Needwant mantra has been to push the very best in new talent, having provided the platform for the likes of Kiwi, The Mekanism, Maxxi Soundsystem, The Revenge and many more.

is / was is incredibly proud to introduce the enigmatic, insanely gifted, man-of-many-vibes himself, Teakup. Hailing from Ohio, our man is yet another in a long lineage of shut-in freak-beat enthusiasts from the humble state. With a style referencing the melodic funk and swing of Titonton Duvante and the broken, advanced-beat wizardry of Archetype, Teakup steps into this proud heritage with a 4 tracker of various vibes sure to sate even the most discerning of dweebs. Lose My Mind is of the swung and jacking nü haus variety popularized by the Will & Ink lads. Shimmer soothes with soft pads and throbbing bass while simultaneously spanking you upside the head with cracking snares and corrosive claps. Darkcore 2020 indulges in sci-fi breakbeat antics, earning the much sought-after status of banger. Lastly, I Don't Fkn Kno slinks along in the timeless tradition of low-slung n' swung house groovers. Welcome to the sound of Teakup.

One of Dortmund's finest exports, Mr. Fries, returns to Wolf Music bringing his signature sample heavy house touch back to the label. Six tracks of MPC saturated cuts take the stage for WOLFEP045 with the hazy Rhodes, rhythmic stabs and sax flutters of 'Nocturnal' opening up the e.p. 'Sun' takes things on a percussive workout before 'Work' leads you down a road of dusty Detroit loops, akin to the productions of the Motor City greats.
On the flip you get a smokey jazz, sun-drenched roller in 'Getright', moving into 'Junkfoodnmusic' which encapsulates that comatosed feeling it's titled after down to a T - dropping the pace down into a laid back jam. Closing out the e.p. 'Thesimplethings' driving bassline, fizzing percussion & sensual samples offer up a late night groover to round off another stellar outing from Mr. Fries.

When it comes to deep and soulful inspired house grooves with a touch of sweat and grit we like so much, few comes close to Soulphiction.
This four track EP got that and more.
Ear-grabbing opening track 'Bizzness' starts things off in classic Soulphiction mode with its deliciously bass-heavy funk stomp.
'Cart People' is a fine slice of deep house going deeper and deeper as the groove develops.
The first track on the flip, 'Slow Glow', brings warm vibes and great melodies together in a clever way.
Finally 'Sweet Dreams' is another fine example of house music that is deep, full of soul and comfortingly loose, Mr Fingers style but done the Soulphiction way.
