Chicago house pioneer DJ Sneak and Russian export Tripmastaz have proven themselves to be a formidable pairing since their first EP landed on Sneak's imprint, I'm A House Gangster, in 2014. In July, they add to their joint discography with a three-tracker dispatch on Cassy's burgeoning label, Kwench Records.

The label's sixth release, Cassy takes a step back and gives this collaborative duo yet another outlet to showcase their dancefloor fodder, which follows releases on Kaluki Music, Mr. Nice Guy, Reptile Dysfunction, Ovum Recordings and, of course, I'm A House Gangster.

Extraterrestrial Intelligence reminds fans of not just their deftness in producing tough house cuts, but also their prowess at manipulating the Roland TB-303 to deal a solid smacking of acid. 'UFO' reaches out to roughen up the humanoids of this planet with the 303's distinctive squelch and those clattering drum machine rhythms - a track that's guaranteed to get you twisted. Gruff vocals on 'Click Thang' break through as a tough bassline ensures your participation on the floor, and 'Last Daze of Dizko' maintains momentum with a thumping bassline that any peak-time burner should possess.

RFBCOLOURS hits release number 3 with a return from Jamie Trench this time delivering 2 tracks himself alongside JammHot who bring two of their own. Jamie opens up with "Snap" a bassline lead driver with vocal snips that twist and change throughout. Then JammHot bring "Look To The Skies", this one on a more sunshine vibe with garage-esque vibes and great for those day parties. On the flip we begin with Jamie's "She Likes To Play" this one carrying a hedonistic groove that again relies on a dinstinctive low end Jamie loves and this time rallied alongside drifting horns and female vocals. JammHot finish up the 4 tracker with with "Under The Boards" which is the most melodic of the bunch with a more head down persuasion.

Summertime funtime courtesy of... someone from somewhere. Who know 'Liwando' is Madchester rave culture with a disco underbelly and a bongo and conga fervor.Jacques Renault's mix somehow manages to cram a few more sticks of dynamite into the mix, beefing up the funkiness quotient (that bass!) and embellishing the breakdowns (that horn!)'Didn't I (Acid Version)' is definitely the afterward to 'Liwando,' a joyous, soaring encore that has, yes, a touch of acid folded in.

After sharing his flair for producing polished house grooves on Kwench Records' last EP, Philly veteran Pete Moss returns to collaborate with Cassy on the fifth release. This instalment gives two original tracks, and introduces AUS Music steamroller Marquis Hawkes into the fold as remixer.

Keeping to mind that Cassy's motive was to produce with esteemed artists that she personally came to admire, to be enlisted on two EPs is a testament to Moss's finesse. For Marquis Hawkes, Cassy's admiration runs deep into his ability to expertly produce quality house music on many levels. Last year he had three critically exclaimed releases on Aus Music, with 'The Basement Is Burning' EP securing its place as a summer smash.

Hawkes blazes into 'I Want You' wielding sharp kicks and soaring pads, creating a mesmerising track that's sure to elevate clubbers. On the B-side, Cassy and Moss' 'You Said' breaks the silence and grabs us with the kind of spacey, distorted vocals that are sure to hypnotise listeners. Hawkes then leaves his mark by offering a euphoric slab of dance floor fodder that's driven by a robust bassline for those peak time moments.

Seth Troxler continues to showcase the work of Chicago great K'Alexi Shelby: after an EP on his other label Tuskegee Music and a remix for Sean Miller on this imprint, Shelby now steps up to Play It Say It with a trio of excellent club cuts.K'Alexi Shelby is one of the Windy City's most venerated heroes. He's put out six albums and almost 60 EPs since the late eighties, all of which have helped evolve and establish the Chicago house sound around the world. Next to remixing acts like The Pet Shop Boys and Derrick May, he runs his own K Klassik and 321 labels and remains as vital as ever. The perfectly titled 'Groove With Us' opens up with a cut and paste style, funky disco loops and plenty of filters all bringing the loose house funk. It's a playful and timeless tune that is designed to blow up the 'floor and most certainly will thanks to its unbridled energy. The dynamic and driving 'So Chicago' then slips into a slick house groove, with great percussion, more big string samples lighting up the track and a knotted bassline that keeps you on your toes. Suspenseful and explosive, it's filled with authentic party vibes and a real sense of fun that will ignite any set. Last but not least is the excellent 'Black Sunday', which takes uplifting preacher vocals from a church sermon and backs it with gospel singing, an old school baseline and raw energy that will get hands in the air. It's a definitive piece of authentic house music with real heart and soul.
This is an expressive EP of house tracks that embody the instinctive and emotive spirit of the genre to perfection.

Up next on Hot Creations is the hugely influential Leftroom Records boss, Matt Tolfrey. Well known for bringing fire to the dancefloor as well as to his productions, this punchy two-parter is no exception.

On title track Americas, Tolfrey delivers a peak-time slice of rolling electronic goodness with pounding pads that bounce around the percussion, with a drum and vocal loop that lure you in. Regain The Past is laden with throbbing bass and subtle vocal stabs that gently caress your ear before thrusting you headfirst into the break.

Matt Tolfrey has come a long way since his musical journey began. Spotted by Craig Richards and invited to play at his fabric night, this culminated in the honour of recording fabric 81. Since then Tolfrey has become a mainstay in the scene. Playing countless clubs and festivals across the globe, he also holds down residencies at Stealth in Nottingham, Bar Americas in Guadalajara and R33 in Barcelona. Productions can also been seen on esteemed labels such as Cuttin' Headz, Phonica, Crosstown Rebels, REKIDS and his own impressive imprint, Leftroom.

Yoruba Records welcomes back label favourite Mike Steva with a well-balanced and forward thinking EP that both engages and pushes boundaries. Opening up with 'Love Symphonik', this stutter-stepped jam practically drips with MPC flavour. Up next, 'The Message'; a bold proclamation with more straight forward percussion. With added Balkan flavour this one is as deep as they come. This is followed with 'Sila' where Steva's chops are on full display. This engaging and well-constructed groove conjures of feelings of celebration, one that's easy to imagine taking place in the streets of Macedonia. We close with 'Zensko Oro', a deep and moody percussive-led jam. This one speaks of movement, slowly building on itself and reaching a natural climax that enhances and delights the senses of the astute listener. Sit back, relax and enjoy this soon-to-be essential piece of the Yoruba Records canon.

After dropping their first various, Figures, Slowciety is about to release Guru, Sunrom's next EP. The artist has already worked with prestigious labels like Kompakt, Ancient Future Now and The Bricks. The EP lays down four organic tracks for a blend of deep house, world music and techno. The title track sounds like a ride on acid and is followed by Quirigua, a rich track conjuring transcendent Mayan rituals. The B side opens with Elephant's deep muffled kicks and takes off with Utopia's elegant arpeggiator for a final flight. This strange and personal EP will cast a spell on the dance floor.

South London producer Ben Hauke takes a sonic excursion to South America via Lewisham for a new seven track release for Far Out Recordings. While littered with Afro-Latin percussion, and samples of obscure Brazilian, Cuban and Colombian records, Only Old stays true to Ben's distinctly London identity, with a record that fluctuates between house, broken beat and instrumental hip-hop.Having collaborated with the likes of Nubya Garcia and Joe Armon Jones, Ben Hauke stands at the electronic end of London's new jazz movement. Currently working on new releases with more of a focus on live instrumentation, Ben titled the release 'Only Old' as it leans more heavily on his foundational approach to music making: an idiosyncratic, almost brazen sampling style in productions bursting with personality.Always full of character and style, Hauke's productions have seen him likened to Theo Parrish and Madlib, with an altogether physical approach to sound. Title track 'Only Old' is moody broken beat with eerie sampled vocals and piano. 'Get Up To Get Down' is a light n' breezy summer house stepper, while Brazil-inspired 'Runners' sounds as if it was made for MF Doom. Only Old will be released on 180g Vinyl on 20th July. Sleeve design by fellow South London based artist Samuel Lloyd.

It's an all US line-up as we welcome back to Strictly the Soulgasm main man Brian Coxx along with new production partner Morsy for Feel It, their stomping-piano tribute to classic house.

New Jersey man Coxx is behind the memorable Soulgasm Sessions Volumes 1 & 2 released on Strictly at the end of the zeros/beginning of the tens, and he's currently celebrating ten years of throwing the infamous Soulgasm Sessions parties around New York City.

Bronx resident Morsy has notched up a brace of releases with Nervous and, as part of the developing Coxx & Morsy partnership, a trio of tracks on Kenny Summit's Good For You imprint. Formerly part of the itinerant NYC DJ crew Crooked Disco, he's played festivals like Coachella opening for the likes of Moby and Steve Aoki and lately travelled to gigs in Europe along with a neat sideline playing cruise ship events. You can find him playing his weekly residency Mr Purple on the rooftop of the Hotel Indigo on Manhattan's Lower East Side.

With Stiff Little Spinners Vol. 9+10 we will release the last two volumes of the housey techno compilation series as a double 12 vinyl on 24/11/2017 via Hold Your Ground, Audiolith's new sublabel. The intention of Stiff Little Spinners was always to keep the party going and most of all to keep it interesting. With every new release, we introduce new artists and almost always new genres - shoo-bi-doo house, rumble tec, abrasive electronica, stress ambient, you name it! Stiff Little Spinners Vol. 9+10 showcases new and known talent from Hamburg to Berlin via Warsaw and Texas. Side A The first side of the four starts with Ben Böhmer and Antoni Sierakowski who get straight on it and pick you up with around 124 bpm and loopy hypnotic perfect deep house. Jesse Bru's release on Slivers invokes early edit based house with a number of tracks both for the head and dancefloor alike. Similar to Bru's eclectic and expansive releases as of late, 'Giving Me The Feels', as the title suggests, focuses on a focus on soulful sounds that has become his signature.

Look for the brightest star at nightfall tonight. It's easy to find because it's so bright - brightest star in the sky. Once you find it, turn around so that your back is to this bright star and you'll be facing into the sun's path. Now lie down and look up and imagine that you're falling downwards. Everything falls into place at the bottom of the sea. Liquid horizons, like watercolor floating out from a brush dipped in water. Unfamiliar landscapes, alien air, strange dreams. The brighter the light, the darker the shadow. Everything has turned into deep space.

The globally trendsetting house and techno family that is Visionquest now turns to a new pairing of Sonny Fodera & Gene Farris for their debut EP on the label. Entitled 'We Work It', the two-track affair comes with a remix by Visionquest man Lee Curtiss.

Australian Sonny Fodera has been at the sharp end of the dance music scene for years now, clocking up huge hits both solo and with Green Velvet aka Cajmere, releasing albums such as Afterparties & Aeroplanes and appearing on Cajual, Defected, Suara and many more top labels. Gene Farris, of course, is a Chicago house legend who has been active since the nineties, runs his own Farris Wheel label and has released close to one hundred definitive EPs on Relief, Soma and many others.

Up first, 'We Work It' is a lithe ritual of house funk with bent synths and slick mid tempo drums. A spoken word vocal snippet muses on the intake of various substances and the drums roll on infectiously below. It's sure to be a standout anthem in the months to come given that vocal line and the spiritualness of the keys all around only adds to the effect.

The first remix comes from Lee Curtiss. This one is a much quicker and more peak time bit of tech house with textured, dynamic bass and plenty of drum fills. It's an involved, more cosmic and tense take on the original, that will build great pressure on the dance floor. All in all this is another on point package from Visionquest that will get played far and wide

Following up his ''Haz / Pacificon EP'' last year in Trelik, Alex Celler delivers his second release for Baby Ford but this time on his PAL SL imprint. This EP takes a darker, more techno approach which fits the PAL SL vibe and will be the 15th installment since the label was launched in 1996. ''Vis-a-Vis'' will hit the shops in the spring and contains two tracks. On the A Side ''Feudade'' (pronounced feud-aid) is a percussive and haunting melancholic trip that stretches steadily over 10 minutes. It expands into a lamenting, metallic Sansula melody. On the flip-side ''Vis-a-Vis'' is a broken-beat, deeper techno number with electronic soundscapes and a bouncy kickdrum / bass combination, riding along jazzy synth lines & solos. Chopped vocals, syncopated rhythms and FX complete the scenery of the B side which decomposes gradually into its own elements. .

WE LATER TRACKED DAZION TO A LIGHT INDUSTRIAL UNIT ON THE OUTSKIRTS OF AMSTERDAM. THERE HE CONTINUED TO TINKER WITH THE TECHNOLOGY, TESTING IT OUT BY BROADCASTING ANOTHER MUSICAL COMPOSITION. THIS WAS MORE POIGNANT AND MELANCHOLIC IN TONE, UTILISING SPAACEY ELECTRONIC MELODIES, GENTLY BOBBING CHORDS, HEART-ACHING GUITAR FLOURISHES AND A TOUGH BUT BROKEN RHYTHM TRACK. THE RECORDING - CODE NAME VX LTD' - HAD A HUGE IMPACT ON US EMOTIONALLY AND EVEN REDUCED ONE OPERATIVE TO TEARS.''
