French techno connoisseur Agoria leads us on a minimal, spaced out trip through shining synths and swift vocal echoes. Acclaimed house maverick and Hot Creations head honcho Jamie Jones has been closing his DJ sets for the last few weeks with his own remix. Its bouncing, old school house tip bounding beneath bright gospel turns of phrase, approaching near classic status with arms aloft receptions on the dancefloor. And finally Berlin's Deniz Kurtel, who pulls her penchant for polyrhythmic percussion to the fore, casting sweet tribal grooves across an original surely destined to become a dancefloor anthem this summer.A career spent DJing across the globe was the catalyst for Lazarus's latest project - Damian Lazarus & The Ancient Moons. Co-produced by James Ford of Simian Mobile Disco, the new album brings together an assortment of vocalists, collaborators and players from around the world, all taking inspiration from his Lazpod series, Get Lost events and Day Zero festival in Mexico.

Animals Dancing follow up their debut release with a fleshy three-track EP from Dude Energy, the latest project from LA's Diego Herrera (AKA Suzanne Kraft). His renowned sundrenched, west coast warmth is all but thrown out the window in this testosterone filled nocturnal emission. Come take a ride with Dude Energy on this throbbing tour de force.

Mad Dancer EP is Freda's second offering through Sydney Imprint Moonshoe Records - The record maintains the raw crunchy nature of his debut whilst he progresses into more dissonant atmospheres. Wobbling jazz loops guide the A side through 2 up-tempo yet calming house tracks. The title track Mad Dancer is kept alive by crunchy, swinging hi-hats and bouncy synth melodies. Smoking Causes is a slow burning take on Disco. On the flip (Breakfast) is the curveball of the 3 tracks. A darker mood is established before a syncopated break drives the EP home, exemplified by a sliding dissonant synth melody.

Nous'klaer welcomes Rotterdam based DJ and producer Konduku to the label with his debut called Kiran. Altin and Mavi Saat (Golden and Blue Hour) form the framework of the trip, easing in and out with a 4x4 groove. In between the opening and closing act Kiran is less straightforward - A powerful polyrhythmic hybrid of Eastern Europe sounds mixed with UK resulting in contagious grooves that will surely spark many dancefloors.

Release number 2 for Burnin Music sees two local heroes of the London underground house music scene, Leonidas and Kay Suzuki, joining forces for a unique project : Synqlock vol II

Hard to describe in a few words 11:24 of pure sonic bliss. With 'Interstellar Meditation' the artists seem to have reached a certain wisdom in the making: rain falling, organic sounds of the forrest and a beautiful analogue symphony. A very very emotional track. A unique journey.

Asteroid (Jackin' Acid Dub) is a short pumped up techno tune which manages to keep the soul from 'Asteroid' (on the flip side) while adding acid elements.

Undercurrent opens the B side with layers of analogue synths on a beatless groove. It feels like the start of an epic journey into sounds where time and space are relative.

With 'Asteroid' you get to full speed: again layers of analogue synths respond to a breathless beat. The hypnotic bassline pulls you to an 'emotional' dancefloor: it is not only a 'dance' track but also feels like an emotional experience.

As the winter solstice approaches and the fool's journey comes to a close, Chapter 24 marks its first two years of great releases with a 24th EP. This symbolic offering is a vinyl-only package from Masaya, with an Edition by her close friend and frequent b2b DJ partner Ripperton.


Masaya's entire life is music and this really shines through across the four cuts served up by the Swiss-Chilean artist. As boss of her own label Mina Records, she is a real underground star who has been responsible for numerous great releases over the last ten years.


'Borderline' kicks things off and is nine minutes of spine-tingling deep house music with haunting vocals and wispy autumnal synths. Subtle and seductive, it is a killer opener to the EP. 'Picture' is then just as emotive and spiritual, with tender string sweeps and rolling rubbery beats mixed in with warm finger clicks to make for a hugely atmospheric house groove. The final original is 'Flow of Tears', which is again cavernous and deep, its sombre chords draped over gentle drums with whispered vocals that really mark it out as an evocative listen.


Ripperton is the long time deep house star from Switzerland who runs his own Tamed Musiq and has a fine discography, releasing on the likes of Innervisions, Maeve and more. His version of 'Flow of Tears' captures the sound of futuristic house and techno in 2016. It is more direct and driven, with corrugated drums and loose limbed percussion lulling you into his autumnal groove.

Albrecht La'Brooy's Analogue Attic imprint returns this May with a solo project from one half of the duo, Alex Albrecht, under his newly formed Melquiades guise...

The past few years have seen Albrecht La'Brooy steadily hone their unique spin on House & Techno via self-released gems & acclaimed projects on Night Tide, Voyage Records and Butter Sessions, culminating with the release of their debut long player 'Tidal River' on Apollo/R&S earlier this year . This solo material from Alex's new alias (soon to be debuted on Scissor & Thread) takes a more dancefloor orientated approach. The material recorded live, retaining an improvised feel and managing to capture the surreal and mysterious atmosphere of the Australian bush.

Chez Damier's timely resurrection via the Mojuba imprint has been one of the most revelatory things to happen in house music over the last ten years. While the man's heritage spoke for him, an endless slew of timeless gold for Prescription, the German label have opened the eyes of many young listeners to the power of Damier. For this latest 12", the producer is re-produced from some of the imprint's casuals; Oracy's opening edit of "Mental Breakdown" is the bomb here, a fine example of what real DEEP house should be about - everything from the percussion to the groove and synths is perfectly interlocked and absolutely devastating as it rolls out more and more of its 4-bar loops. Jeff & Greg's 'classic' remix of "Never" is a bumpy, amicable Chicago banger, but legend St Germain drops some real funk on his own re-work of the tune. Essential house gear!

Jay first became inspired by his love of classical music but has been scorching the international dance scene with his unique fusion of different genres for many years. Tastemaking UK label Decay Records is branching out with a new vinyl only sub label
entitled The One and Only. Behind the first release is acclaimed Belgian producer Igor
Vincente, who serves up a stunning one sided vinyl release to get the new label underway.

Decay Records is the work of Davide Zeta aka one half of DZeta 'N' Basile. Since
inception in 2013 the label has excelled at club ready sounds from the likes of Alex Arnout,
Neverdogs and Franck Roger, and now indulges a slightly different side with the arrival of
The One and Only, which is sure to become another essential label.

Igor Vincente is a relative newcomer, with just two Eps to his name since 2014. They have
come on top labels Hot Creations and Mobilee, and marked our Igor as someone with a
fine grasp of groove. He proves that once more with a perfectly formed new track,
'Jasmin'.

It is an immediately absorbing deep house cut with woodpecker like hits riding over the top
of a rolling, rubberised drum line. Warm pads and a very humid atmosphere ooze out of
the track and infuse it with oodles of intimate soul. A whispered female vocal adds an
organic, human element and it doesn't take much to imagine this one really going on to
become a cult underground hit.

Smoky and seductive, this new release from The One and Only is a fine way to kick off
what is sure to be an interesting label.

For the second vinyl we are excited to have Argentinean artist May and her EP 30 Segundos. 30 Segundos captures the spirit of summertime house music. When the sun is out, we shake
off remnants of winter malaise. The light changes, skies open, horizons widen, the body warms. And our perspectives shift. You look up and see distance, every second a lifetime. Each track offers a slightly different view on house music. The title track is bright and energetic, where drums and synths tumble forward. Cometa pushes the bassline to the forefront driving track forward while the synths and percussion dance around it. On the B side Leonel Castillo remixes the title track into 9 minutes of shimmering, propulsive house music.

Since the early aughts, Alan Abrahams aka Portable has been producing records for labels like Perlon, Live At Robert Johnson, K7, and Süd Electronic. With his new band project 'RANGEr', the releases as Bodycode and Portable and his very own label Khoikhoi to be launched this summer, the South Africa born Alan Abrahams is an artist in-between genres. 'A Life Without Notifications' is now here, marking his first release for Dial records.

regularfantasy's music is about as plush as it gets, filling your area with bright melodic blankets for which to throw around your bod. Turning it into a plush palace of sorts, if you will. Half of this record seems designed to sooth you while the other half is all about getting you steppin'. Our pal dj zozi comes in with an absolute heater of a remix, taking you to planets unknown and raves gone by. Without a doubt, the party is gonna be turned out.

We are back with another 4 track EP, called Walk Back'. This time we have the honour of having Sinan Kaya from Istanbul on board.
He released on City Life, Society 3.0, Bubendzauber, Cyanide etc. Walk Back' and To The Stars', both tracks with a sexy
and groovy touch, the Remixes are produced by Luca M & Bfly as a duo and Jumaira.

TenGrams are brothers Alessandro and Davide, who collectively have a deep and long understanding of dance music. Davide is a co-founder of N.O.I.A, one of Italy's first electronic live acts to perform and record with drum machines and synthesizers as early as 1978. He was also behind seminal Italo outfit Klein + M.B.O and proto house hit 'Dirty Talk.' Since then they have released under an array of aliases, have clocked up numerous club hits and this new project brings them back to their electronic roots, with influences like sci-fi movies and old school electro and italo looming large.Devious' is a very breezy and energetic track with a rolling arpeggio and rich keyboards section over a simply but groovy Tr-808 pattern. Classical Italo Space Disco sound updated to nowadays. 'Translucent' sounds like a dreamy electro-ballad heavily influenced by Kraftwerk. 'Pop Song' keeps the same 80's electro vibes with simple, wistful melodies and a great funk bass line. 'Disco Dub' is a pretty damn cool early eighties electronica, with a great pumping 'robo-funk' Linndrum!

R&S welcomes Acid Mondays for a 12" of lysergic house music that reaches far into the outer cosmos.
Formed "somewhere in the 5th dimension' Acid Mondays is the cosmic coalition of fellow psychonauts Negghead (Dan Ward) and Lex Wolf (Alex Wolfenden).

Repeated transformative visits to Ibiza culminated in landing regular slots at Circoloco where they have been testing this tune in the dance all Summer long.

'Universal Rhythm', their latest interstellar dispatch and debut on R&S is their finest work to date. An anthemic paean to the cosmos that features an impassioned spoken word missive from shamanistic MC Shovell, impressively recorded in a single take, making the case for the universality of experience and oneness of all beings.

Latin rhythms fuse with a driving Fender Rhodes lick (provided by JD73) and percolating cow bells to hypnotic effect. This calls to mind a combination of classic Carl Craig and Villalobos at his most playful. R&S new signing The Maghreban supplies a killer dubbed out take on the original that strips away the heavy kicks and pumps up the percussion, hurtling the synth pads to the fore that comes on like John Carpenter peaking on MDMA.

Bicep make their way home to Feel My Bicep records for their first 12' on the imprint since their collaborative 'Dahlia', recorded with Hammer, back in September of 2015.
FMB006 is a notable addition to the label - a reimagining of Blaze's seminal recording 'Lovelee Dae' - originally released on Classic back in 1997, before a string of subsequent re-issues and remix packages on Playhouse, True and Urban Tracks that included Carl Craig and 20:20 Vision.
The remix was originally designed to be included in their Essential Mix in 2014, but a lack of space has meant that its pressing on FMB is the first time it sees the light of day. Using Ralph Lawson and Carl Finlow's classic aforementioned acapella version as the basis of their work, the Bicep lads ensnare an air of swooning euphoria in their remix that stays true to both their original productions and their DJ sets.Shortened vocals suffuse galloping 909s and a gleaming synth riff that certify it as a festival fail safe.

Our boss Claude VonStroke is the busiest guy we know. When he's not traveling the world or curating an event, he's in the studio every day putting in hours upon hours, relentless in perfecting his craft. He's had a slew of hits the past couple years in the form of remixes and collaborations, and now with the 'Walay (My Bae)' EP, Claude gets back to some inventive and somewhat 'out of the box' solo works.

The title song leads with a melodic riff and an funky vocal that sounds like a defective cyborg is proclaiming love for his partner, 'Walay.' This quasi-human uses the slang 'My Bae' to try and pass for human and we almost believe in his passion. The sound harkens back to old classic rave tracks but also pushes very modern production techniques.

On the flip, 'Raw Nerve' is an emotional exploration in both sounds and lyrics. A melancholy VonStroke dives deep into his insecurities and fears with sonically mutated lyrics like 'I'm feeling so sad, I'm feeling real bad today. When I see you on the street I dont want to compete.' You can feel the social instability oozing out of the vocal only to come back at the close with a violently hard bassline embodying the personal angst and frustration that goes along with not 'fitting in.'

New York's DJ Spider returns to Rekids with four murky vinyl-only cuts this November. A highly respected label owner, DJ Spider is well known for helming esteemed imprints like Plan B, Sub Level Sounds and BTU music. As a producer he has made appearances on the likes of The Trilogy Tapes, BleeD, KilleKill and Vanguard Sound!, whilst last year saw him make his debut on Rekids. Returning to the imprint, the American artist follows DJ Deep, Jon Hester and FBK for the fourth outing in the Rekids Special Projects vinyl series. Opening with 'Mobius Strip Revisited', a squelching bass line and rolling percussive loops underpin ethereal pads and airy atmospheres before an extended keyboard solo plays over inspired chord progressions and a grooved low-end to give 'Antikythera Mechanism Part 2' an improvised feel. On the flip we have 'Sub-Atomic Vibrations', providing a series of irresistible lead synth melodies and crunchy drum compositions followed by 'Struggles With Phantoms', an unrelenting rhythm section lays the foundation for an evolving mid-range giving the release a stylish close.
