Esteban Adame cut his teeth DJing at the ditch parties and house parties of East LA in the 90s. He then moved to Detroit to apprentice with Mad Mike Banks, performing as part of Los Hermanos and Galaxy to Galaxy. More than twenty years on, he still lives and breathes music. This is his debut record for MisterSaturday Night Records, raw and joyful.

Gab Rhome is back on All Day I Dream with, believe it or not, his very first solo release. We first encountered our bowtie wearing friend via his collaboration with Maher Daniel way back in the label's catalogue. He dropped by again last summer as one of the tracks on our annual Summer Sampler release with 'Venus'. It rocked the Beatport Deep House chart for months. Continuing in that vein we find two wonky fun summery house tunes with rolling grooves, tinkling pianos, glassy sounds and memorable melodies...which is fun to say by the way...go on, say it. Say it out loud right now on your plane journey, in the coffee shop, hotel room or in bed with your cat... Words and music to make you smile.

Over the course of four unforgettable EPs released on Throne of Blood since 2013, Hardway Brother Sean Johnston has cultivated a broad international following for his singular brand of dancefloor fodder.

Best known as one half of legendary DJ team A Love From Outer Space alongside the one-and-only Andrew Weatherall, Johnston's roots in the dance music scene include a clutch of leftfield 90's era bangers on labels like Sabres of Paradise and Flashcomm. Beyond his original output, Johnston has also remixed the likes of Man Power, The Asphodells, Museum Of Love, Split Secs, Clandestino and many more.

The Laser EP is peaktime Hardway Bros business. 'Friedman Feedback Loop Revision' (a nod to TOB boss James Friedman's highly-valued opinions) is a masterclass in efficient simplicity, elevating a few basic loops into an exhilarating 8 minute monster. 'The Laser' rounds out the a- side with a classic electro rhythm/bass/vocal sample combo could easily have landed in retro territory. Instead, Hardway Bros easily flips a clutch of oldschool tricks into an utterly modern execution. The b-side finds TOB's label manager Max Pask injecting 'Friedman Feedback Loop Revision' with his love for all things analog and Italo. With his impressive collection of synths brought to life by Chinatown Records' Brennan Green, the song is transformed into an epic set- closer that's already devasting dancefloors like Berlin's Panorama Bar. The EP closes with 'Afro Sirene,' a midtempo groover with melodic arpeggios built for the discerning DJ's warm-up set.

the main man from the deep tech scene, our friend and the family member, Johnny Davison from the UK, breaks into the Vinyl scene with his Vinyl Only picks, his incredible vision, his underground notes and sounds. This guy is quite known by bringing some very deep and unique, danceable and glamorous music at the same time. R&S welcome Dutch dance icon Maarten van der Vleuten back into the fold. - 'Outrage' is a compilation of Maarten van der Vleuten's Integrity project tracks, originally released on R&S sub-label Outrage Recordings in 1992, now remastered by Matt Colton Maarten van der Vleuten is one of the most influential figures in the Dutch scene, and also a man of many aliases - between 1987 to 2007 he racked up releases with over two dozen projects producing Detroit techno, electro, house, experimental and ambient tracks and remixes. Still highly active and inspired in 2018, R&S see the Outrage release as a perfect opportunity to re-introduce Van der Vleuten's masterful productions to a new generation, adding to his existing influential fans such as Optimo, Global Communication, Ellen Allien and Dave Clarke. During the 90s he recorded mainly dance/techno for R&S Records, as Orpheus, 48V Phantom Power and Mantrax. He also memorably released on Apollo Records (check his excellent In-Existence 'Moonwater' album), Djax-Up-Beats, See Saw and Klang Elektronik amongst others.
Van Der Vleuten's ongoing collaboration with R&S founder Renaat Vanderpapeliere saw the later set up Outrage Recordings in early 1992 to release Van der Vleuten's tracks that didn't fit on R&S Records, recording as Integrity, Zimt, Flux and Pultec.
'Every couple of weeks i would drive up to Ghent with my new tracks and meet Renaat,' explains Martin. "We then went straight to Foon Mastering where we played the DATs and decided which tracks would be cut - i had carte blanche when it came to the 'sound' of the label. Van der Vleuten's music on Outrage Recordings moved in the opposite direction of the contemporary rave and gabber scenes; while Techno became faster and shifted to a more aggressive sound, Van der Vleuten focused more on composing and arranging over danceability. This resulted in these EP's being difficult to sell back in 92 but listening now it feels vital and fresh well over two decades since they were recorded which is an obvious sign of
Van Der Vleuten's deft talent. The release also includes Van der Vleuten's collaborations with another dutch icon, Mike Kivits (aka DJ Aardvarck). The pair first met In 1989 when Kivits would sometimes play his demos on cassette-tapes at local clubs. The pair became fast friends and Van Der Vieuten invited Kivits into the studio where they found a natural chemistry that ultimately resulted in the tracks 'Nightshift' and 'Intens' which feature on 'Outrage', both written and recorded on the same day.

Pharaohs is a live band from Los Angeles including blossoming producers Suzanne Kraft, Ale Cohen (from the legendary Dublab) and surfer/synth-geek, Sam Cooper. One might assume these lot are in search of their sound, dabbling in various sub-genres, loosely citing a mixed bag of references... but any listener with a refined palette will acknowledge these three as Renaissance Men of the highest order. They simply know what sounds nice and strive to execute their vision with taste, regardless of what inspiration fuels them at any given moment. Side A leads with "Ahumbo" (named after Sam's dream beach in Zanzibar), blending a dry and simplistic rhythm section with swelling synth chords, a cheeky vocal and a vibrant surf guitar. Following "Ahumbo" is the title track "Island Time," a bouncy jungle vibe with chant about tropical fruits, a reminder that its always Summer somewhere! Last, but not least, Side B doles out "If It Ever Feels Right," a percussive House jam that is literally a JAM... Its on this track, with its live percussion, saxophone and drum programming, that the band capacaity of Pharoahs shines.

What attracts us to Chilean-born artist Ricardo Tobar is the notion of intersection, and although fusion is nothing new, as a concept it will always pull our heartstrings. Applying influence is amateur, we see this over and over again as we endure trend-driven appropriation of cultures the world over, but the epiphany when an artist finds true synergy between heritage and influence is a pivotal moment that the inspired will seek, even though it may take the length of one's career to behold. As pretentious as that may sound, it is precisely the hybrid born from that place of intersection that
excites us at the ESP Institute, the 'A plus B that equals 3'. We hear this in Ricardo's music — the Latin American instinct in his drums and percussion, sometimes tightly aligned with body movements and other times hauntingly mis-aligned and chaotic, intersects with his rock influence of ethereal (micro) melodies that slowly layer and layer until we're climbing a glorious (macro) wall of sound — but most importantly we hear where these different parts of his life come together to further create one unique voice. On both sides of his ESP Institute debut Liturgia, Tobar couples one pulsing dance-driven track with another atmospheric and immersive track, requiring we educate ourselves in the polarity of this language he's building, one that will expand to tell a broader story later this year with his debut album. We welcome Ricardo Tobar, another forward-thinking artist, to the ESP Institute, and are proud to support any direction his compass points from here, as we believe he'll never follow but will always lead.

Richy Ahmed has been steadily building his Four Thirty Two label over the last 12 months, introducing talented artists such as Jansons and Senzala to the fold. The imprint is fast becoming a 'go to' label for those who like their house music uncomplicated and hype free, ensuring the Chicago and Detroit house sound burns bright with new music indebted to the roots of the music.

After recent releases on Seth Troxler's Play It Say It label, and remixes for London Grammar, Richy brings the goods back to home on this latest Four Thirty Two release.

On 'Can't Stop Us', chunky stabs incessantly jab at meaty drums, as a female vocal loop rides on an opening filter. The good vibes build to a classic house piano crescendo that Marshall Jefferson would certainly approve of, as the soaring strings and evolving drums raise the rapturous mood to dizzying heights.

On the flip, the percussive disco drums of 'Dials Mavis' are bolstered by a booming sub bassline whilst deft keys and deep Rhodes chords deliver the infectious melody on this bumping jazz ride.

2nd Release Of Darmstadt Based Vinyl Only Label Comes With A Four Tracker By Sercan - Labelhead Of Utique - Who Is Back With An Impressive Solo EP Along With A Dancefloor Remix from Tolga Top.

Transitive Elements' most wanted tracks are finally available in a double vinyl release for the first time. All tracks have been remastered from Enrico Mantini's Original 90s DAT Tapes to make them sound even better of the original UMM presses! A must have for collectors and for those who missed the original releases.

On Loop marks it's third year with the Volume 3 compilation curated by Moxie, due for release this Autumn. Sampler 1 of 2 provides 4 tracks from the main compilation, featuring exclusive productions from Shanti Celeste, Traxxploitation, Benedikt and Admin. Compiled of music from artists she continues to support on her bi-weekly NTS show, Moxie's selection know-how is apparent throughout. Opening up sampler 3.1 is Bristol DJ Shanti Celeste, kicking off the compilation with deep bongo cut 'Moved', followed by Traxxploitation's exploration of jazzy chicago house in 'Honey Pot'. On the flip, Benedikt switches things up with high-octane track 'Mnemonic', before Admin winds things down with dreamy percussive number 'Space Cadet'. With 2016's Volume 2 gathering support from names like Gilles Peterson, Benji B and Annie Mac - this year's release is set to meet a similar reception. In addition to Moxie's label, the On Loop party series has just celebrated it's 1st birthday with Kornel Kovacs and LK at On Loop's London home The Pickle Factory. The On Loop family has been growing all year, with Moxie inviting guests like Avalon Emerson, Damiano von Erckert, Alexander Nut and many many more, to over 20 parties at venues like Manchester's Soup Kitchen, Edinburgh's Sneaky Pete's and Lyon's Le Sucre. With more parties to be announced this year, an ADE showcase lined up, and a festival stage curation under her belt - Moxie's On Loop imprint is set to continue on it's upward trajectory.

Horatio Luna is a Melbourne Bassist. composer, producer and founder of soul outfit 30/70 (Rhythm Section Intl). The left-leaning jazz musician known for his boldly experimental compostitions moves towards a soulful-house sound on 'Cultural Warriors'. The record features the innovations of jazz-soul-bap producer/instrumentalists Nap King Cole (Silent Jay x Jace XL) Perrin Moss (Hiatus Kaiyote) and Ziggy Zeitgeist (Zeitgeist Freedom Energy Exchange). The brainchild of Damian Lazarus, Crosstown Rebels has become home to many big hitters. Following on from his remix of Satori earlier this year, Riva Starr delivers his own, three-part tribal beast, ADVENTURES IN DRUMS.
MY AFRIKA opens up the EP with what would appear to be a tribal leader commanding your attention as the wobbly synths draw you in. As the heady bass kicks in you can't help but succumb to the rhythm. On EUROVOODOO, alien sounding synths are weaved amongst high hats luring you into a trance-like, hypnotic state. EL SONIDO leans towards a faster, flamenco style sound with tribal singing beckoning you to the dancefloor.
Riva Starr is the alias of East London based Stefano Miele. He has long been a staple in the club scene bringing dancefloor fire to some of the world's biggest stages, from Glastonbury to Japan's Fuji Rock. His credibility as an artist has led to collaborations with some of the industry's biggest players, including the likes of Green Velvet, as well as remixing for a number of high-profile musicians such as Wiley and London Grammar. Founder of Snatch!, 2017 was a monumental year for the label having reached its 100th release.

After SHAKE 001 flew off shelves back in September, Mahogani's Dan Shake returns with his second edits release. Already firmly supported by the likes of Daphni, Soul Clap and Gilles Peterson, expect more groove-laden gems from one of the UK's fastest rising talents.

Before his debut studio full-length, Dubbyman racked up a remarkable discography of dance singles and remixes. He has been away for a little while, but his new 10-tracker album is the perfect tool for him to make his anticipated return. "Deep is dead" is a fascinating mix of organic and synthetic, past and present, smoothness and eclectic, darkness and brightness. The Spanish producer has veered away from those dub-heavy and dark atmospheric deep stylings, and instead has ventured into much classic house and musically territory. Almost all songs are soaked in warm chords, dreamy leads and gripping melodies. Dubbyman also offers an immense and stunning roster of credits and guest musicians such as Kuniyuki Takahashi, Leo Gunn and George Btp aka Allstarr Motomusic, just to mention a few.

One Records move into 2017 with a statement release for the label. It comes as a two track, split release from label co-founders Adam Shelton and Subb-an both featuring the same vocalist, Isis Salam. Adam's track Only Now fills the A-side with it's 808 drum work out and acid flare, built directly for the dancefloor, while on the flip, Subb-an's Self Control refines things to construct a more intricate and dubby affair. With both Adam and Subb-an naturally moving into new stages of their career, Adam has been busy promoting his new parties, Collective Minds based in his home town Birmingham and Foundation in Rio Brazil, while Subb-an has been hard at work in his Berlin studio with new releases seen on the likes of Cabinet, Blind Box and Beste Modus sub-label Beste Freunde. This next joint effort on their label showcases where they each stand musically and as a collective with the label moving forward.

Derek Carr joins Subwax with a fine 4 track warm sounding EP, this one is carrying all of Derek's quality trademarks and here he proves once again he is the man of the moment.

Berlin based Jens Dohle is a man of many talents. An accomplished composer and arranger for theatre productions across Europe, classically trained multi instrumentalist, explosive live drummer for YE:SOLAR, Munk, Hot Coins, Sado Opera. Longtime collaborator with Danilo Plessow aka MCDE and Noema from African Shakedown fame. Remixer for Jazzanova and 4 Hero. There's not enough room here to list his amazing work.

2018 ushers forth a new identity to his already enviable C.V with his first EP as James Dole (a jokingly anglicised version of his birth name). The 3 tracks here all showcase his ability to create a strong mood and use great splashes of melody and rhythm but without ever losing the groove. Written during a period of 'introspection' in deepest, darkest Berlin, each one tells a different story.

Ex is a moody monster of a track. It builds and builds into a pounding nightime symphony with a kind of epic-ness which hints at many years spent mining the highs and lows of music, love and life. Big room yet with a gut wrenching soul beneath the slightly flamboyant majesty. Made in East Berlin and well road tested in the cities debauched nightclubs.

Fantasia shows off Mr Doles jazz and broken beat background with rolling, funky drums sashaying with hip hoppy live jazz keys. Then those signature euphoric yet melancholic synths appear halfway through the track to create an emotionally halcyon mood. WIBES.

The EP closes with Grande. Super melodic yet cinematic with amazing synth work and a sophisticated arrangement showcasing James's well trained musicianship and artistry. An opus of melody and longing built for Italian arthouse films about unrequited love.

The "Perfect Illusion EP" opens up with "Never Can get Away", a steamy & dreamy cut that sucks you right in to it's lair of thick pads and trancy sequences, which are contrasted by a carefully programmed synth bassline and a stomping house beat.

Next the title track immediately evokes early Chicago warehouse jam feelings, with bass sequence, detuned chords and classic drum patterns all oozing of old analogue Roland machines.

"Running Number" starts as a no-nonsense house track, yet it transcends into 80s territory with the help of a deeply emotional chord progression that might just make you forget you're in a club.

Berlin Duo Longhair give "Running Number" the Luv-Remix treatment, really digging deep into that chord progression and building a melody and synth-bell infused Italo-house track around it that should make this year's festival crowd weep and rejoice alike.

On the A side is Reggie Dokes, who gives us deep house, then without shame moves us into that Detroit style of techno, cultivated by the Motor City. Mr. Dokes likes to walk in both worlds of house and techno, and not confine himself to one particular genre. This EP is the perfect
marriage of two creative producers, who bring excitement and inspiration to the dancefloor.

Cymawax explores the far reaches of our sonic galaxy with its next 12 only release, an exciting seven song set from evocative Uruguayan-Norwegian vocalist Camilla Luna. Camilla is known as one half of Luna & Bazis on WahWah45s, with producer friend BHLB, and as vocalist for Trulz & Robin's releases on Eskimo and Dance Disorder's 'Metallic Italic (Bpitch Control). Her years of improvising vocals with musicians and DJs at renowned Oslo clubs like Blaa, Jeager, and The Villa have given Camilla a knack for accompanying electronic rhythms with haunting, tuneful melodies.
For the Open Up EP, Camilla joins producer BHLB for soulful and raw vocals recorded in one take over futuristic, bass-heavy, and delightfully offbeat tracks. The styles and tempos vary wildly, but the sound throughout is unified in a deceptively organic 'Ex Machina' woman-meets-machine vibe. In the title cut, the almost tribal percussion summons exotic, benevolent spirits when combined with Camilla's temptatious crooning. The twisted R&B of 'Wut R U Gwonna DO could almost be a secret collaboration with the likes of Flying Lotus. And 'F.O.C." transmits a slightly intimidating techno stomp that would make all heads on the dance floor turn towards the DJ and immediately take notice. These are just a few of the otherworldly audio nuggets found within the Open Up EP ... there are more treasures to unveil. Excavate soulfully.

"Introducing Basic Vision, a new imprint releasing a vinyl series of rare classics from the legendary back to basics club. Selected and compiled by the man who played the first ever record at the club, original resident DJ Ralph Lawson. All the tracks are cut to vinyl from the original master recordings and given enough time on high quality vinyl to ensure clean, loud pressings with original artwork by the godfather of punk design - Jamie Reid. The artwork spans across 4 records, which collected together will make the compete picture.
Basic Vision 002 features more gems for collectors including the legendary Mood II Swing Border Insanity dub of Crustation - Flame. Championed by many DJs including raresh and Apollonia this stripped down cut was only found on the B side of the original release at a low pressing level. It has never been licensed for vinyl since as the original master has been lost for nearly 20 years. Lawson was determined to get this track onto the compilation as it is a bona fide back to basics bomb so he managed to trace down the master to a dusty DAT tape in a basement in New York and lovingly re-mastered from tape with a cut on one side to ensure a really loud pressing for DJ use. Flip the vinyl over and you will also get a treat in the shape of the eternal 51 Days - Paper Moon, originally recorded in 1994 this is still one of the best-produced house records ever made. It can live in a DJ box forever as the perfect warm up record. If that wasn't enough the record is completed with Terence FM - Feelin' Kinda High, another all time classic moment in time from Cajmere's Chicago based imprint Cajual. Again used at the right time causes devastation on the dancefloor.
